Horrible!!! Everytime i call scheduling its a 30min hold then then someone hangup... The referred me to a speacilist outside my network after asking for my insurance 20 times while in the office... Had a long wait in ob/gyn and the dr was rude when i asked her about my work levels. She didnt talk to me any about what to expect and just seemed careless... I cancelled with them and going to u of c chicago

Ignorant and cold I have gone here for an ultrasound twice both times I was treated horribly , felt bad for my. Ob because it the hospital she was tied with but both my youngest boyt we're born in way better hospitals due to how both my. Visits made me feel and that was a cpl hour. Tour. My son is 1 year old, bleeding out from his head, falling asleep and twitching. Ive been here going on 1 hour and 15 minutes while people are still being called and the charge nurse politely let me know she is calling people in the order "SHE" sees fit, but he will be handled soon. He could have head trama, swelling or even an concussion but these cold hearted ignorant nurses would rather him rot in the waiting room. They could have AT LEAST took him to xray/cat scan to make sure the situation was controlled. I will never come back to this hospital! Harvey is a hell hole!

My son came here from a urgent care for pneumonia. Not knowing this place was dirty and to take my sons blood on a table with old blood stains on it and I have to ask repeatedly to have someone clean the table off. Then once the ATTEMPT to draw blood is a fail the run takes the needle put with no cause pad to cover it so guess what his foot is gushing blood she scoops it and says that's good....who are you hiring here unacceptable

Today was terrible I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and was having sharp stomach pains with a strong headache, I came into the er at 6:04 pm, it wasn't until 11:02 pm that I went to the front desk to ask when do they think I would be seen, the lady argyle desk was a older black woman with a nasty attitude and responded I don't know what do you want me to do, then proceeded to look on the computer and say well it looks like you have 2 people in front of you, you have to wait until a spit become available. I always thought pregnant patients was first priority, however I left still in pain and a severe headache, I normally go to places like north western or Illinois Masonic because of better services!!! THIS HOSPITAL IS TERRIBLE!!!

We have had at least six billing irregularities in the past six month, and I shouldn't have to spend hours on the phone trying to reach some idiot to fix the problems.

This hospital is HORRIBLE since they changed over. My father is a patient and they gave him medicine that made him extremely worse. Too many doctor looking for a check for not doing anything for him. Now they are pushing us out and giving us deadlines on how long we've got to take him out. Mind you he has insurance, I can only imagine how they treat people without any. Alot of nurse and CNA are awesome. Some of the doctors have BAD attitudes and don't like to explain anything to you.I WILL NEVER BRING MY LOVED ONES TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!!!!

I came in with pancreatitis to the emergency room in real bad pain I had to wait 30 min to be checked in then it was an hour wait to even get a room the staff was rude and made me feel like they didn't wanna be bothered Do no go here for emergency services this is the worst hospital in the area

Most of the staff are nice. Communication between staff is poor. The rooms go for days without being cleaned. I brought in bleach wipes and cleaned the room myself after requesting that it be cleaned several times. It appears that MOST patients were receiving the same tests for different conditions (brain MRI, CT scans etc). In one week I’ve been with a very sick relative for 8-10 hours each day and had many days where NO ONE came in for 2-3 hours to check on her. I witnessed a patient being told that she was going to be discharged the next morning but when the time came she waited from 8 AM- 3PM being told that it was transportation’s fault because she was #13 in line and low priority. One of my family members went down to get a wheelchair to take her downstairs so that her family could pick her up. Not enough staff for really sick people...NO sense of urgency.... after 9 days, biopsies and many other tests... still no diagnosis or speculation on a large lung mass that is highly suspicious. Tests are ordered and canceled with no explanation. If you or a relative are really sick... DON’T COME HERE!!!!!!!! Talking to supervisors doesn’t help!!! Nothing changes!! But... they are very nice people for the most part..... 3 Days after my initial review... my aunt died suddenly in the same room with no treatment or diagnosis after 12 days. The staff didn’t know the proper code to call for assistance when she stopped breathing. They walked slowly down the hall, chatting and laughing.

I could not have asked for a better group of professionals to entrust my health. The doctors, RNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and transportation members went above and beyond to make me feel special. Spending 2 weeks in the hospital was not easy. Everyone made sure that my care was most EXCELLENT!!

The campus was pristine, the medical staff was attentive and professional, and there was a strong sense of security without feeling militaristic. Kudos to the competent and professional ER staff (doctors, nurses, techs and transportation personnel) who provided outstanding care to my husband during his recent (unexpected) 2 day stay. Ingalls may not have the most modern facility or state of the art technology that our current hospital plan provides but we were extremely impressed with their thorough testing and the way in which we were treated, that speaks volume in terms of providing excellent care. I was here for a week complaining about chest pain and my nurse jasmine didn’t care to take care the problem until i told a staff about it. The whole time i was still in pain and I’m still in pain, scared to get treated here. Also my nurse lied about giving me my meds when i asked for it on night shift they said it was given it to me but my nurse never saw me and never took my blood pressure or temperature. I lost my job cause i never show up and i told my therapist that my main concern was to get in contact my job and it’s too late my position was taken.

THIS REVIEW APPLIES TO THE CANCER CENTER ONLY ---- The Ingalls Cancer Center and Cancer Care Units are just absolutely wonderful. The hospice is not recommended if the patient is conscious, at all. The cancer center and its staff are just great though.

My 14yr old had a syncopal episode (passed out) at home. I went to Ingalls, and a registration lady took her name and put it on a clipboard, (DIDN’T EVEN REGISTER HER) and we sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before I decided to leave. They didn’t even at least REGISTER HER so there was no accountability of time as to how long they have someone in the waiting room, especially with a possible cardiac issue, before doing anything. They should NOT have NON MEDICAL PEOPLE at the front desk. There should be a nurse up front to at least hear what people are coming in for. I left there, went to South Suburban Hospital. They registered her as soon as we stepped in the doors. Proceeded to do and EKG, vitals, and blood sugar. All under 10 minutes. Because that’s what you do, In a possible cardiac situation. I don’t mind waiting for a room or to be seen by a doctor. But as a 16 yr ER Nurse, I know what complaints should be addressed immediately and which ones can wait. Wonder how many people have died sitting in Ingalls waiting room, waiting to be AT LEAST registered.

This outpatient surgery department was amazing from the R.N. Kathy to the CA Jennifer to Kathleen we can go on, just very professional knowledgeable very concerned of what was needed to the wonderful Dr Salvatore Fanto very knowledgeable to what he had to preform on the repairing of the wrist/arm injury. If anyone needs a hand/wrist arm surgeon I strongly recommend this doctor for all his wisdom and being so concerned with every detail to get the job done

This place is terrible. Let me be very clear, if you are having an emergency, go to any hospital you can find. You really can't be choosy. For any type of follow up care, choose wisely, but don't choose this place. It takes weeks to get in for follow up exams and physical therapy. By the time you get in, you are either better and in debt, because you have stayed at home to rest, but without a paycheck. Or you are worse because it has taken so long to get assessed for your therapy and you have inadvertently made things worse. At the time of my initial visit after the emergency, I was ordered to start physical therapy. It took them 10 days before I could get evaluated. Plus 14 days later and no physical therapy. Still waiting. I had a 2 pm follow up appointment , I arrived at 1:30. I knew I was early so I sat down to read a book. At 2:45, I realized there were still people ahead of me that needed to be seen. When I asked about the wait, I was told , "they had a lot of injuries that day". Now the emergency room is at the other end of the building. If they had walk ins that they took before appointments, then they should tell the appointments this information. If the wait was longer than 30 mins, they need to inform the people. If I had known the wait time was over an hour, I would have rescheduled. When asked about the policy, all you get is the standard, "Illinois is a right to choose state". Well thanks , I knew that. When I asked how long it will take to get my records transferred, I was told that it would take a week. A week for one page!?! I was only there for one visit, why would it take a week for that with everything on computer? They are not very concerned with the pain of their patients. They are poorly trained and staffed, and are not in a hurry to help you. Spend the extra time and go to an ATI or Athelico.

My mother who is diabetic and has a history of high blood pressure had outpatient surgery last week at the Harvey facility and the staff was great until she had been there several hours after surgery due to severe vomiting from a medication reaction which the RN stated she didn't think that is what caused the issue because it was not in her allergy list although every time the drug was given to my mother it made her extremely ill within a short period of time. Since she was ill, she was unable to have her diabetic meds and also her blood pressure rose to 179/110 which this was the last bp taken before she was discharged but the RN stated she was not going to record that because she knew my mom was under stress from being so ill. After that the staff rushed her out after stating "there is nothing else we can do, you might do better at home so you are going to be discharged". They gave her a belonging bag to vomit in for the ride home and sent her on her way, which of course she was sick the whole way home. Luckily she was better at home a few hours later because she refused more meds that would make her sick but the irresponsibility of sending a patient home like that is absolutely ridiculous!!!

11/14/14 is a day I live everyday. Mistake made on me was said to be my mistake. My first motherhood experience turned out to be my worst nightmare. I thanks my family for being by my side because without them I would have been dead. Had my daughter through Csection something that was not planned. After being discharge, I checked myself back in because i was having fever, couldn't walk or breath well. When at the ER i was told my colon was cut and fluid was inside. I had ascites a way of removing fluid from your abdomen. No one cares, they didnt even apologies, as a matter fact i was told that it was my fault and that this happens all the times to pregnant women. Really? really? wow thanks Doc. NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO BREASTFEED MY CHILD.. NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE. I CAN STILL HEAR SOME OF NURSES THAT WERE MAKING FUN OF ME AND THE ONES THAT WILL APOLOGIES BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN OR HEAR SUCH THING........

Joint Commission needs to drop in unannounced as this hospital would surely lose it's accreditation! How are patients with seizures protected? Wrap and tape blanket to side rails, no antiseizurre medications prescribed are administered to inpatient hospitalized for 12 hours, etc. How are slip and fall patients "labeled"? Yellow socks. Now you know too.

My grandmother has been there several days. They have wonderful nurses. The women at the entrance were friendly and helpful. They were busy in the ER but kind and efficient. Once she got a room the nursing and housekeeping staff cleaned her up and got her settled. They have been so sweet to her and to our revolving family stopping by to check on Gram. I am so grateful. There are beautiful courtyards and the public restrooms were extremely clean and fresh smelling.

The Registration department did not do their job correctly. I provided my insurance information but it was never entered into my account profile; as a result, I am receiving a swam of bills from different agencies who claimed that they never received insurance information. This lack of professionalism takes away from the fine medical treatment that I received.

I gave birth to my son on 04.19.18 . Literally everyone I came in contact with were so sweet, helpful and pleasant to be around . Julie , Jenny Brown , Ashley , Latanya , The house keeper Hattie , Dr. Johnson & 2 more women made this experience for me great opposed to 2 years ago when I had my daughter (bad experience) . Ingalls have got so much better with their staff that I would actually recommend people here . I was well taking care of by the labor and delivery team . My son was well taking care of as well . I was born here 6/14/03 horrible service i was crying a lot more then I should of I and I didn’t breastfeeding on time either and ugly photos of me too , I had no hair and kick me and my family out after two days but the nurses were pretty funny so I give them the one star for that.

I came in with Johnny Williams my fiancee because he has chronic pancreatitis and was in extreme pain , while the emergency room staff was ok the Dr and the nurses he encountered were horrible they treated us like drug seekers even though we have been admitted into ingalls 5 times for this same problem I found out they don't know anything about you because the staff doesn't chart the Dr needs to go back to medical school for more training in how to treat patients anyhow we had to sign ourselves out to go over to south suburban hospital where he actually got the care he needed don't waste your time going to ingalls

Wish they had more nurses like Ali, Jamerea, and CNA, they know how to provide task as well as patient care. The people in testing areas were good like Dee. The communication was not positive.People from other departments kept interrupting during testing, I am not sure if it was the schedulers or what. Registration and ER nurses and doctors wrote down the wrong issue coming into ER. it was so cookie cutter. "We did not have that exact ailment so we go close too it." ER nurses that put in the wrong gauge I.V. needle in your arm. "That is all that was in the computer is what they told me. Really!!! It was not patient centered. The doctors don't communicate with the nurses for accurate diagnosis, . 11 years ago when I had my baby there they took good care of their patients. when they were Ingalls hospital. Now they rush you to make decisions based on inaccuracies in the Prognosis. It reminded me of an assembly line.

It's bad enough that you even need to be in a hospital but there must be a nursing shortage because I've run across two surly nurses (Becky and Diane) and a one surly CNA (Ashley). This is just in a few days. Ladies, I get that there may be a problem but must you take it out on your patients? I also understand that you can't drop everything for every request but if you can remember how to save someone's life then it shouldn't be so hard to remember a request. If you get caught up in something - write it down. If you don't have it then tell the patient - no need to leave them in the dark. I can see why you're on the night shift. There's two stars because of Brittany. She's wonderful!
