I was in for what was supposed to be a few days ended up over 3 weeks. I have major back problems and they wouldn't let me use a wheelchair. One night I fell and knocked over the coffee cart and broke the thing the coffee was in. I was paralyzed in pain and muscle spasm partially because they wouldn't give me any of my meds. 2 people picked me up threw me into a wheelchair took me to my room and threw my into the bed and left me their in pain. They wouldn't get a doctor or anybody to check me or my back. After that theft me laying in bed for 3 days I couldn't even get up to go to bathroom and they ignore when you call for them. They do room checks often and would just ignore me and walk away. And they kept putting holds on me because I couldn't get up to go to their groups. Then billed me for several thousand dollars after the county already paid them.

I was there December 3rd - 27th and it was a life saver for me. My meds weren't working for me and I became psychotic again. This was my second time there. My first time there was also a life saver. The staff are very nice, caring, concerned, helpful, funny and very personable!! Any concerns I had were answered about my mental health. I had my own room, the food was excellent, and the other patients there were very nice. I highly recommend Safe Haven Mental Hospital to anyone who is feeling suicidal or feel they are out of control and need their medications adjusted!!!! They saved my life!

I regret having to leave the people that run safe haven are extra nice and they played a key role in my ability to cope with mymental illness and the violence I endured in my life. I wish I could have stayed longer. Going to state is really scare. I did recover though. Any how I really think safe Haven is a good place and I will remember them fou're there kindness.

I called them to register for a visit. I repeated the code to them 3 times and she kept saying that the patient can call me to give me their code. Third time must be a charm. I am shaking my head in disgust. On the other hand, the manager there who I spoke with the previous day on the patient phone which the patient actually had to hand the phone to is very polite and is actually seems qualified to assist people. The phone system works only half the time. There are problems with the phones even connecting in the first place. There are problems with audio quality. They use some sort of Voice over IP system.

I was sent there for a suicide attempt the staff was not that great only 5 min with the dr every other day and when my sister called them and told them that i was still going to attemp again they placed me in another hold .so they strip detached me again after family visit be cause they could not find a soda can that i drank in there presences and my husband took with him after words. Plus no follow up after i left. And no their care was not good. If you arent a drug user or an alcoholic and not attend the aa and na meetings you get written up I felt more messed up coming out of there then going in

I have had nothing but huge problems with billing,they do not bill you then they give you a bill that says 0 then they send you another bill for $200. Its been a year now and I can do nothing to get this right and the stress caused by this and my blood pressure went through the roof.They refuse to get my account in order,my newest complaint is I gave them my new insurance card information and they billed my old insurance company,the stress continues and my blood pressure is going through the roof again.

This place is terrible. I set up automatic bill payment. After I cancelled it and payed off my bill they continued to STEAL money out of my account causing me to not be able to pay my mortgage. Then when I spoke to Courtney in billing she was clueless and couldn't seem to do her job. Then when I called her back after she said she needed to look into it she never answered. I proceeded to call corporate where the phone was answered by HR and she was rude when I asked to speak with a manager because I couldn't pay my mortgage and needed the money back they stole. THANK YOU SO MUCH SAFE HAVEN FOR SCREWING ME YOU'RE SCUM.

Worked here as a house keeper. Never been so disrespected, bullied and it was a very hostile work environment. They treat the housekeepers like they are a piece of gum on the bottom of their shoe. We got piles and piles of laundry from the other staff working there and they never said thank you for doing the laundry and cleaning. No respect for each other and talk about the patients and laugh at them. They go against the rules and don't even follow the standards and protocols and do not care.

I was sent to this facility after a suicide attempt. The staff that was on duty were, with one exception, robotic and business like during the intake process. This was particularly difficult during the mandatory strip search, as a victim of sexual abuse. The only male staff member on hand to perform the search barely spoke English and just kept repeating "It is a procedure of the hospital, and we have to do this." until I broke down and complied. It was only after that that they did the intake interview where they asked if I had ever been a victim of sexual abuse... Furthermore, there were communication issues among the staff during my stay. Items that I use to cope with my anxiety, which were initially permitted for me to keep by one staff member, were later removed as a safety risk by another (not a risk to me, they said, but if someone else got hold of them). Finally, the phones broke down multiple times during my four day stay, and since visitors were only allowed on one day a week when I was staying there, this hampered my ability to communicate with my parents during a particularly serious time. Safe Haven has issues. It was a place that, while it did keep me safe while my meds got rebalanced, set me back in other ways.

As a parent I find the employees to be very helpful in answering our concerns regarding our daughter. Of course HIPA prevents giving us private information w/o our daughters consent, but I find them caring & helpful.
