REVIEWS OF Medical Center Navicent Health IN Georgia

My 28 week pregnant wife got sent to the hospital for reasons we do not know, I leave work. Then speak to a medical center representative that tells me only one person can be in the room. I’m a few feet away from my wife who I love more than life itself but I can’t see her because there isn’t enough room.

Martin Johnson

My mother had cancer and was on the 9th floor. She was very scared and nervous being away from home, and having all these procedures, but the doctors and nurses there were great to her. Nightshift nurses made her comfortable for the night and were always nice. Erin L was always in her room with a smile and a cheerful attitude. Way to go Navicent. Very pleased with my mom's treatment at your facility.

Tracy Coultas

I leave one star because that is as low as I can go. It is not however as low as Navicent can go. My 76 year old father came in from his assisted living facility by ambulance for a heart problem. You responded by leaving him in your ER hallway for 20 hours. You did nothing with him all night, running your tests around 10am the next day. He did not get to a room in your 600 bed heart center that you boast, until 2pm. Your staff claims to not like it either. You have a serious systemic problem here that needs your corp level attention. I know you have people in your Company that specialize in LEAN and Value Stream Mapping. You need to get them busy in Macon.

Janet Strock

I have to post a mixed review. Most all of my stay at Navicent medical was exceptional. The doctors and nurses were mostly knowledgeable and efficient. Food services was good and Thelma Lockett was wonderful. She always had a smile and uplifting words. My only complaint was they did not give me my pain meds in a timely manner, allowing several hours to transpire and I was suffering needlessly. When my husband finally tracked down the charge nurse , I was given the prescription and immediately felt better. I had a total knee replacement and with the exception of this one incident I was very pleased with this hospital.

Carol Mora

We have had great service. Heart floor 6 has wonderful staff

Jim Roeder

Staff was great except for getting released which is painfully slow. Justin and Randy were great.

My son was in Pediatric ER. He wanted to be alone for awhile. I left his room and told his nurse that I was going give him some time alone. The nurse was at the desk. I said please call me when the doctor comes to speak with me. She wrote my name and number on my son's files. I watched her write it down. About hour and half later, I was in the waiting room and I saw the nurse. I asked how my son doing and asked when the doctor would come by. She said my son was fine and did not know about the doctor. I went outside and walked around the hospital area. 45 minutes later, I went inside. My son was moved! The nurse says, "oh I looked upstairs for you. Your son is in Observation" I asked to get to his room. I did not say anything at that point, because I was just trying to get to my son. I got to him. He said was upset that I did not see his doctor. Omg I was so angry about the nurse. I told him that he wanted privacy and the nurse was supposed to go call me, when the doctor came in. I cannot believe, the nurse is an idiot. Upstairs? Really? An idiot. I talked to the doctor on the phone, because my son's new nurse knew I was angry. The doctor came to speak with me in person. I thought he was a good doctor. I am reporting the nurse to head of ER.

Thank you Dr Stokes and Nurse Brandon for the treatment I received for the dog bite on my arm. I actually live closer to Houston county hospital but I chose the ER at Navicent Health because I trust that I’ll get the treatment I need in a reasonable amount of time

Jackie

My visit was top notch. I'm extremely grateful for Jennifer, Jasmine, Paula, Mandy, Dr. Gray and Dr. Newville. I couldn't have asked for a more caring staff. The communication was never lacking. I was extremely pleased with my stay.

Amber Grier

RN Maggie, RN Nicole & Tech Domingo on the EC floor is the best! They were so nice, helpful, caring. Answered all my questions & concerns. Thank you guys! My experience today was a 10star y'all deserve some type of recognition!

Jeffrey Boyt

Over 8 hours spent in the Emeegency Room. This is, by far, the absolute worst ER I’ve ever been in

Colleen

Great surgeons and nursing staff. Felt cared for and valued.

Sally Swift

Could not get answers to questions on my own medical issues. Nurses and Tech's were rude and not helpful with questions, assistance to go to restroom, or anything else. Never were told any test results on the numerous test that were done. Just put on medications with no reason why. Communications in this hospital is lacking greatly.

t Anthony

My physician was great but registration was not good I seen three DIFFERENT people about my personal information then I had to write so on paper where it traveled out of my sight. They were nice but come on.

Bo Tarpley

Juat called to check on father law who has been there for over a week now and they say he isn't there. I tell them room number and everything and they tell me the same. He isn't in computer so my wife( his daughter ) calls his cell while I'm on phone with hospital and he is there in same room hasn't gone no where. So I tell the operator he is still there so I can talk to his nurse and she says the computer don't show him. Uuuhhhhg thanks Rosaline lead operator. Your computer is wrong. SHE SAYS NO IT ISNT THEY DONT MAKE MISTAKES. I SAID WELL HE ISNT DEAD. SO YES THEY MAKE MISTAKES AND HE IS STILL THERE BUT I CANT TALK TO ANYONE.

Brianna Garrett

The Medical Center of Navicent Health has saved my life for 18 years n counting!!! (I will always go here) and the staff has always been amazing and I never wanted long in ER, I would recommend anyone to MCNH :)

Dave Jergen

Every doctor, nurse, tech, or other staff member was very friendly and patient. They reacted quickly and safely to help us during our emergency.

Tom Witt

I had maybe four great nurses while I was there for nearly two months. Good luck if you're going to get a prescription renewed. They wanted to kick me out several times when I first arrived because they thought I was okay. Go somewhere else. I'd give them no stars if it was possible.

Jason Toler

This establishment feels it is okay to have a nurse work for them that publicly bashed a mother who was breastfeeding her 7 week infant in a restaurant. This nurse went as far as to say things like she has no respect for herself, her husband does not want her showing off her breasts, that she has no common sense, that it is offensive and even compared it to publicly releasing ones bowels in a restaurant. I tried to report this to public relations and the woman informed me she would not report it, that she doesnt care what employees do on their own time and to "google" nursing qualifications. So here I am. I think it is highly unprofessional of your establishment to feel it is appropriate that your employees can disrespect a young mother feeding her child based on their own points of view. It does no do good things for the way your hospital is perceived. And your public relations office could probably use some manners and further training on how to not get rude with people during their phone calls. Thank you. Sincerely, a breastfeeding mom of two boys and a passion advocate that breastfeeding is a natural way of life.

This hospital needs to get it together. There is seemingly no communication between the doctors and the nurses. Patients are left waiting in their rooms for over ten minutes after pressing the call button. There are very few who work here who seem to care. I witnessed with my own a eyes a nurse yell (yes, yell with hand motion and everything) at a crying patient to calm down! Who does that? And it takes hours to get word from the doctor. Just really poor communication and a seemingly high number of the staff is rude and uncaring. Get it together. You're dealing with sick and hurt people.

Harold Correa

Treatment was great good services

Ashley Gordon

Overall, everybody was super nice in the maternity part, however there was so many ppl in and out my room which just made me really confused and aggravated after while and nobody knew why my doctor sent me there for observation so i had to repeat myself over and over and the food makes you feel like you in prison, i pray i don't have to deliver here, and every time someone came to my room they mushed really hard on my pregnant stomach and the ultra sounds were painful to, i left out of there with a sore stomach for days

Dawn Williams

Pediatric ER and Trauma Dept were wonderful with my 8 month old son. Quick, professional and knowledgeable. If we ever need to bring our children to the ER it will be here.

Ann Jones

I don't know how this hospital got a five star. I also have pictures. First of all the nurse let my husband fall in the floor going to the bathroom, They just bring his food in where he can't reach it , you either eat it or not. They will not help you. I have bunch of notes I could go on but I want. Never come here again only to have surgery. Great doctor but different story with staff. I would post pictures but won't let

Rachel NeSmith

Excellent service. Hands down the best hospital in Macon.

Aelin Carstairs

We were going in for a simple preoperative procedures and it's been around 2 hours and we still have not be seen. The staff is very rude and don't seem to be following any semblance of a schedule. I would give them a lower rating if I could.

Jerri Hall

The staff in the emergency room are excellent. However, the experience is not excellent. The wait time is unbelievable. There are not enough rooms or beds. There has to be a better system than this for emergency room care. There is also a lack of communication between the doctor and patient. Regular updates need to be given to keep the patient and family informed. We have had to bring my father at least 3 times and he was there 5 or more hours. There needs to be a study done of effective emergency room care, and Navicent Health needs to make drastic changes.

Sharlotte White

This place is worse than a third world country! 3 1/2 hours in the waiting room and it says average wait time 46 minutes. They are treating people from the waiting room, literally come and get you to do test then send you back to the waiting room. Smells horrible, dirty and they wonder why they get mrsa here. Not impressed what so ever. If you have a choice just drive to Atlanta!

Johnny Phantom

The nurse that are called by patients to be brought food, personal assistance etc need to screened or checked for attitude problems. In a HOSPITAL hospitality should be shown in every way..Not just to do your job and not give a damn about …

Tamela Locklear

Shannon Holt

Deborah Sue Durden

Good place to go.

Pamela Waters

I went yesterday. The wait time was a bit extensive and we spent about 6 and a half hours there waiting for testing and results but I believe I was very well examined & the staff was extremely friendly! The only complaints were the long times & the lack of rooms for patients.

Cyndricka Smith

I am 6 mos pregnant and went to the OB/clinic on the 3rd floor at this hospital for having pain. The nurses are rude and ghetto and very lazy! They rather be in there phones then to see about a patient. I don’t like this hospital period! And I’ll take a hour drive to another hospital before I ever return here again..

Dan Bosworth

l was in for 2 Werks. The Staff very Professionalität, friendly. Very thorough, kept digging into test until they found the problem. I have to say I enjoyed my time.

Cynthia Hagans

Very Nice

Danny Jones

Went to a lung cancer vigil tonight and it was rediculous so sad that they care so little it's like we're doing this because we have to . But if u have breast cancer they roll out the red carpet . And on top of it we went with my wife that fought small cell lung cancer and had to pay for parking . Kick you while you're down why don't you. I think it's all a money thing. The worst part is if u don't have debit or credit u have to walk all the way to the main hospital to pay the parking ticket . Hello she had lung cancer and is missing half a lung and it's not from smoking . Ok let's take money from people that are here fighting for their life to live . So your life depends on how much money u have to give medical center.....

Mark Fendley

Incredibly inefficient processes in this hospital. People are nice, processes are broken. Among the worst is the discharging process. A patient is notified that it is time for them to go home, and yet 8+hours pass without attending physicians signing off on the discharge. And to site "busy" is an excuse and symptom of a process that is failed.

Jonathon Chambers

I was hospitalized at this hospital about two months ago due to some cardiac issues. I fainted at home, which was very unusual for me so I immediately decided to call 911. When the ambulance arrived, they put me on a 12-lead EKG and decided it would be best to transport me. The Paramedics were really nice and professional. If I had to rate just the ambulance service, it would have been 5-stars. My problem with the hospital comes from the service after arriving. After the ambulance dropped me off I was put into a holding room. This was a room in which 8-10 patients could be stored until admitted to a room. The night time nurses appeared to have nearly zero bedside manner and only seemed to make the patients who were there even more upset than they already were. They waited a full night until mid-afternoon the next day to give me a room. The room I will admit was very nice and roomy. The nurse admitted that my room was one of the largest. Speaking of the nurses, while my night time nurse seemed pretty nice, she didn't speak much. I make the assumption that the nurses must have been overworked. One aspect I enjoyed about the cardiac monitor was that it was a wireless module. This allowed me to freely roam around the room without being tethered to the cardiac monitor. During my stay in the Cardiac tower, I had a doctor who walked in, barely introduced herself and began to inspect my ankles without speaking about what she was doing. This wouldn't be so much of an issue but when you're sitting there relaxing and somebody just grabs your ankles, it sort of surprises you. I was finally released the next day, early afternoon. I speculate that they intentionally waited just to be able to charge me for another day. The last nurse I interacted with was nice enough. He seemed a little grumpy like the other nurses but as I said previously, I think it had to be something from above his level that was pressuring him so I can't judge him too harshly for that. Overall I feel like this hospital is more about making a profit than giving great bedside manner. I believe the hospital probably places enough pressure on the nurses that it is difficult to give good bedside manner when faced with stress from above.

Ray Yawn

ICU is doing a good job with my wife think you so much

Avery Gomez

Great place and many good workers have had to go there twice once for arm and once for leg, recommend Dr. Lincoln.

Alice Massey

I was in Navicent Medical Center for surgery. From the check-in until I left ALL THE STAFF were friendly, respectful, loving and caring. The food service person, Ms. Thelma, oh my goodness what a wonderful job. We laughed and talked like we knew each other a life time. The Nurses on the 7th floor were professional and checked on me constantly. If I were sleep the woke me up so gentle. They kept asking if there was anything they could do for me. I LOVE all of them for getting me through my surgery. Nurses and aids, Christy, Christine, and others. Sorry I cannot remember all your names, but you know who you are. 7 Main, GREAT JOB. LOVE AND GRATITUDE.

Lecia Wright

The nurses and techs in 3 East were so good to my mom.. Thank you all for your acts of kindness...:0)

Lizzie Beth

Great place for a total joint Replacement Surgery! Would recommend to anyone needing it! Thanks team!

Dino Hudson

Saved my mom in laws life

David Golder

I liked it because I wasn't the patient!

Na'Amahyah Humphrey

Was always treated like I am someone never mistreated or turned away or given half treatment like my life and issues weren't important. I'd like to thank you all for leading me to all of the correct facilities to get the help I need and needed, for that I am so grateful!! Thanks to any and all staff I dealt with and who put up with me. You're #1 in my book.

Robinlee Thompson

Trust in Dr. SMISSON

tt wms

A great hospital wit wonderful doctors

Stacey Wright

It's a hospital! You have the good and bad staff. Some smile some have a stone face. Dr A. Perez is the best. He's nice, kind, caring, and will answer all your questions without being in a rush. The parking is a nightmare as expected but at least you have a Chick-fil-A to stop by.

Matt Martell

Great staff, great facilities, great place to work

Jennifer Weaver

I have been waiting in the Er for 10 hours. I was told I was next in line. The lobby is disgusting there is trash everywhere and a urine container. Come on medical center I know yall can do better than that. People also come here based on appearance with the waiting room the way it is i think some one is lacking in there job

Jessica Kang

While this hospital has amazing staff and nurses/doctors/etc that do their best- it is clear that the doctors do not work together for the benefit of the patient. My grandmother (she was only 78- so not extremely old and was in fairly good shape) went in for a heart attack- had stints put in- the female heart surgeon went on to sell the idea that she could get her bypass. The lady had no bedside manner and was honestly extremely unprofessional. I’m not sure the back end what happens- but fast forward about a month later- she went in because she was having trouble breathing- potentially pneumonia. The doctor in charge determined she had had lung issues for long period of time but obviously couldn’t be sure as she was in final stages. She died. I don’t think they really did their best and I think the heart surgeon just needed some work and let some of her tests slip- didn’t discuss any long term options- and really didn’t run appropriate tests to ensure longevity (her lungs should have been checked thoroughly etc/ instead they went on with a number of blood panels) . What sucks more is my grandmother was so happy to have a female surgeon- and that lady was a total dry sock. I Don’t recommend the female heart surgeon. If you have a loved one that has a timeframe for heart surgery (not vital day of emergency)- Drive to Emory, fly to any other hospital.

Jeffrey Phillips

Very helpful employees at check in and at radiology, most professional

We admitting a friend with a broken hip. He was put in traction. After a few days we noticed that he was hallucinating and seemed paranoid. We discovered that the hospital staff was drugging him with the date-rape drug Ambien. When brought this to the attention of the hospital administrator she said their was nothing they could do to prevent it and that he was not allowed to be transferred while in traction. Further investigation over the next two weeks revealed bedsores, mysterious bruises, multiple instances where his catheter was draining to a breathing apparatus, extended periods (12+ hours) where he was left to lay in his own filth, multiple occurrences where his pills were brought to him and left on the stand next to him (which he could not reach while in traction) and any attempt he made to relieve himself in a restroom or take the pills resulted in him being violently restrained and his pills thrown away - pills that are prescribed for Parkinson, cholesterol, and heart-disease. The Medical Center seems to loath its patients and has no capacity for decency and is incapable of showing respect to anyone they are bound to serve.

Janet Stone

Absolutely the lowest standard of medical care I've ever seen. I told them I am pregnant having server cramps..im still waiting it's been over an hour whole staff was very unprofessional, the entire place was absulolutley filthy, urine dried all over the floor and toilets in the bathroom, no privacy during procedures, staff changing clothes and putting on deodorant during my blood draw, like it was a hang out, nurses carrying hair wigs back and forth through the Halls.....idk what kind of place this is but I will been very go back. Another staff member stated that u was having a pseudo pregnancy.... You might be better off getting your medical service dinner at the McDonald's next door. I was there 13 hourse ended up on the wall, then they refused to do an ultrasound, wanted a CT, trued to get 150 dollars from me when I left with no answers and I had to pay for parking.

Shelia Bonner

E R wait time you will die.How can you see a person by the way you feel their needs are. Just because I have a cut and the next person comes in with a nose bleed. You take the nose bleed mind you I have been here for 3 hours before this person came in. Just saying

Susan Barnard

Still sitting here in ER waiting room with my 76 year old Mother who has congestive heart failure, her throat is closing up to the point she can't swallow, BP is 209/82, and we've been here for 5 hours. When inquiring with the staff about when she may be seen we were very rudely told she would be seen when she was seen and that no matter what her condition she would wait out here. Lab tech comes out to draw blood that was already drawn 2 hours ago. When told her she says may have to be done again if they can't find it. Really?

Teshia Rice

My labor and delivery nurse Megan was the absolute best! I will never forget her.we had an amazing experience having our sweet second daughter there in August. Thanks Navicent for giving me a good experience.

Lynette Sherer

My husband feel off a horse and was transported here after a stop at another regional center that could not address his injuries. Everyone was professional, caring and considerate.

Stacey Adams

This has been the worst experience of my life! Sent here by the dialysis center with my dad because his port was clogged. He was unable to have his dialysis. We have been here 6.5 hours and still no answer or doctor. We sat in the waiting room 5 hours. I do not recommend this place to anyone who needs critical care!

Kisha Rainey

If you encounter Nurse Bridgette (short brown hair chick)on the morning shift in the Triage office, she is the most unprofessional Nurse I ever encountered. After waiting over 18 hours to be seen, She gets an attitude in front of the Police as if I was going to back down . I remained cool since my spouse was in a pain.We should have had the attitudes! I don't know where she got her training but The Medical Center needs to send her to a Behavorial Specialist to deal with the public! The Customer Service Rep and Gentleman at Check in were awesome!

Xylo Ortega

This place is the worst of the worst. I almost broke my back carrying my mom, up and down the stairs. She is shaking, throwing up, and can't walk. They didn't wanna keep her in there, she can't do anything. I bet you if my mom was white, they'd let her stay in the hospital until she was better.

Vicki Parker

Overall it has been a good stay but the nurse on Heart tower floor has no right to talk to anyone any way because she is a nurse especially when the question was asked to my mother’s doctor in hall and she overheard me asked doctor and 5 seconds later she comes into room and asks me did I hear what the doctor said with a ugly attitude. This is second time she came in room on this Saturday morning with attitude!

Marie Massengale

Our daughter has Hep C and Chirrosis of Liver. Because of extended and swelling of stomach she was released from detention for us to take her 55 miles to navicent health. Before we left her they had checked her in and got info. I kept checking back to see if she was in a room No Luck still in ER waiting area. At 4am she called and said she hadnt been seen yet. I called ER and told the man that answered and Told him we were coming to get her. He said come on . They care little about you ,the patient or even themselves. never again will I go there.

Becky Cain

Visit for 2 days with my sister in hospital. Staff friendly. McDonald's right in hospital.

Kristen Johnson

Friendly staff love it

Teaquetta Tucker

Doctors was good but that stay no no

Traci Jackson

If you don't have to go to this hospital - don't! My Mom had back surgery in this hospital and in comparison to the Coliseum hospital, there is no comparison and I wish my Mom had gone anywhere else but Navicent. First of all the place has not been updated since I was born there 56 years ago! On any given day, there were at least 35 different people in and out of her room and over half of them had no idea what the hell they were doing. Navicent needs to invest in some serious training for their employees! There were maybe 4 people during her entire stay there that knew how to put her back brace on properly! This was something so basic that even I was able to teach myself how to do it right. Secondly, the Doctors seemed to have only a1 min and 42 second rule about how long they can stay in each patient's room. God forbid if you ask a question or two (as I did since it involved caring for my Mom and her health). It became obvious to me that doing their quick drive by to each room did not include the patient or their family asking any questions. I was so happy to get my Mom out of that horrible facility and home so she could finally get some rest. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from this hospital!

Danette Vick-Groover

The staff here is amazing. My mom has liver failure and has been blessed with an extra 10 yrs past diagnosis. My mom is strong willed and not an easy patient. They have been able to care for her the last 3 weeks and can even make her smile. Im very impressed. There is a parking garage that charges but they do give parking passes in special situations. They have a nice cafeteria that extended human kindness without me saying a word. Im not sure if my mom will get the transplant she needs but this staff doesnt give up on life. They seem to live by the same Alice in Wonderland theme my family does.. "6 impossible things before breakfast. In order to achieve the impossible you have to believe it is possible."

wytisha little

Compared to Upson Regional Medical center Navicent Saved my mother life the staff their are wonderful. Lizzy and Rachel she will miss you two on the second floor Nurses..Thank you Doctors so much you saved my mother's life ..and thank you nurses in recovery also.such a wonderful staff at Macon Medical Center. .

Jamie Ordonia

I entered ER at 6:15 pm for chest and shoulders pain. After tests that ruled out heart attack issues, blood was drawn. Then was told blood would be drawn 3 hrs later. If results were good I could go home. After negative blood results, I still can't go home... After several other negative tests and 3 other times being told I could go home, I signed myself out. Discharge process is very poor. No one likes being lied to...

Angela Workman

My brother has a friend who's a patient there right now. He had a stroke and has been there several weeks & he's not recovering well at all. They're taking good care of him as far as I can tell. But now they just found out that he's got lung cancer and is not going to be able to take any treatments for it because he hasn't even recovered enough from the stroke for it to be an option. So, they've pretty much given him a death sentence. Not from any fault of the Dr.'s or nurses or the hospital either. Sometimes that's just the hand you're dealt. But they ARE making sure he's comfortable & well taken care of.

Kimberly Hall

I am at the gastrointerology center now and have been waiting since 10am to receive discharge from the doctor it's now 11:43. I signed to be the driver and this is the only thing I hate more than choosing this facility. I realize there are other patients but waiting 2hrs for discharge into a full lobby of patients waiting to be seen says a lot about scheduling. Numerous appointments on the same day for a procedure with a doctor that cannot step in to sign release after 2hrs is absolutely ridiculous.

Angel Beautylens

My mother was in the ICU unit 451- whatever other numbers and the staff was amazing! Nurses were in and out all day long. Even when shifts changed the staff stayed amazing. They treated my mother as she was a relative of their own, with care. Amazing, I feel comfortable leaving my mother there as she recovers.

Rubin Everidge

Wonderful staff. Clean rooms. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone. The nurse staff 4 East Crew did an exceptional job taking care of me both times I had surgery.

george yaughn

This is perhaps one of the most unorganized and unprofessional institutions on the planet. Nurse April on the 5th floor is horrible and has the worst bedside manner ever. When the nurse manager was told about this situation she continued to send her back in to assist and she continued to address the situation further agitating the patient and my friend who is the patient's son!! The GI doctor has not entered any notes for the nursing staff to even know what should be done. 24 to 48 hours has went by and no food. When he was conscerned and kept asking legitimate questions they had the nerve to call security when he wasn't being rude or aggressive at all. Please think twice before using the medical center for the care of your loved ones. I know I will think twice from my personal experiences. And I say experiences because its more than just this one instance.

Donna Griffin

My until was lifeflighted into Navicent after a bad auto accident. From the ER, surgery center, and to NICU, everyone was so professional and so caring. We could not have asked for any better staff. Thank you to all that have, and are taking care of her and our family!

Akyra Burke

Terrible staff the workers are to busy play with each other then paying attention to the patient. They took their time to do anything for you. I had to beg for pain medication.

Patrick Scoles

Navicent conducts terrible business. Wouldn’t advise trying to work at this place as their dishonesty towards people isn’t the correct way to conduct business. I sincerely hope there are changes in the future in the both hiring process and management in specific areas, as they directly lie to your face, and go behind your back to ensure you are not hired on at the facility even without a negative history. It’s amazing how adults can conduct business for a large hospital in this fashion and they should be ashamed.

Ms. Henry

Been sitting in the ER for 45min. Idk if the nurse that triaged my son has no clue abt sickle cell, but this wait time is RIDICULOUS. I asked what the hold up was, I was told they have 5 rooms that are dirty.....ARE U SERIOUS. HIRE MORE STAFF.

C. Lorraine Whiddon

I was not impressed with this hospital. Upon arriving per ambulance my b/p was 208/110. It took them 5 hours 2 bring my b/p med. I feel it was during this time I suffered my MI. I would not reccomend this hospital personally. However, both my cardiologist & nephrologist get a 5 star rating!

teresa sanders

My husband was a patient here recently. I don't even want to give it a 1 star. He cannot walk and was left without a urinal everyday. He laid in a wet bed and he was freezing most of time he was there. I have bad health and couldn't be there much. They put pressure on me to release him. We had hoped to be placed at a rehab but he was discharged sent home still very badly in bad health. He spent one night at home. The next morning he was running a fever and practically unresponsive. I was advised by home health nurse to call 911. We went to the emergency room Houston Healthcare by ambulance. Houston Healthcare jumped immediately into caring for him and he was found to have pneumonia in left lung and sepsis. He was admitted to Houston Healthcare a few hours later. No one at Houston could believe Navicent Health Macon had sent him home in such a condition. He remains in Houston under wonderful care. I give Houston 5 stars and Navicent MINUS 5. I am very upset over this.

brian adams

I thought it was a great hospital. They took super good care of my kid and the staff was very kind and accommodating to my wife and me. They have places to eat, plenty of parking, and a Pharmacy on premises. Nobody likes having to stay at a hospital, but the staff really helped take the sting out of it.

Was there for a replacement pacemaker. Very impressed with staff and facility.

This place was great. Went to Coliseum with a possible fractured rib and just got a smile and no help. Navicent had friendly workers everywhere found my fracture and treated me accordingly.

Very rude staff! The nurses, and doctors seem to be clueless. We’ve been here a week and haven’t received any answers. I’m not typically one to complain at all but I could go on forever about their flaws. 0/10. **UPDATE** Was told by one doctor that it was okay to go home until the surgery and another made the decision for us to stay here. Also it would be nice if they would have some courtesy such as knocking before busting through the door, turn off the lights when they leave the room, and it’s impossible to sleep because they come in every 30 damn minutes to repeat themselves! Place need to be shut down.

My fiance was trying to file workers comp and she asked if she needed to do a drug test and they said no but it turns out she did and we had to wait even though we were about to walk out the door. The front desk was not helpful at all and she was already in pain because she sliced her hand open to the bone. I don't ever plan on using this medical center again and if possible I would rate 0 stars. I would recommend colliseum medical center over navicent.

Avoid Dr whatley in the ER at all costs. your health depends on it. He knows better than you about everything. If he says the sky is green then the sky is green.

Wait time is unbelievable. (5) hours n back. Day shift a joke they linder around till next shift comes in. Boyfriend transport for heart failure, no rooms then waiting go ICU (2) hours still no room. Day shift put n work order for TV that dont work night shift did same still non help. Ask for cup water n blanket (2) hours nothing till I walked out n told nurse myself she jumps up then. Just need do better. Cafeteria food high to be eating cold food at 9pm. Should of been hot paying $10.95 for 4 wings n salad. Smh horrible experience after working 8-10 hours yourself to sit up n a chair. But big up to Scarlet night shift nurse she was amazing. I would give 4th floor CVICU team a 10* they are amazing Rand, Randy, Matt AND Jared I really appreciate everything u guys do and have done amazing job

Love working here. Good hospital to come to get medical help.

My niece had surgery at your hospital. I was unaware you have to pay to park. That is absolutely ridiculous. People have other things to worry about than having to pay to park. Also, the pricing is ridiculous 0-1hr=Free, 1-2=$3.00, 2-8=$4.00. What kind of price rate is this!! Also, the room she was in smelled terrible and someone had just cleaned it. Not sure what kind of cleaner is used but it smells of butt and stale bread. I'm so glad I live in Augusta where you don't have to pay to park to go to the hospital.

This is a great hospital the staff was excellent kept me well informed as to what they were doing and what they were gonna do thank you for doing what you do.the ER is the greatest

I want to give Medical Center Navicent Health -1 if I could. I was charged $250 for some unnecessary lab work right at the front desk. My insurance statement later came in that I should not pay anything. Yet I received a bill from this center for additional $200, because they could not rob the insurance company! Run away as fast as you can from this medical center! Horrible facilities as well!

I am extremely disappointed with the service my aunt received! She arrived at the emergency room where she had to wait for over 24 hours before someone addressed her concerns. It is unprofessional and quite disturbing to have any human being with an emergency left unattended for an entire day! In the medical field, patients come to you for help in the likeness that you will provide trusted care. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I suggest that you conduct an analysis and figure out what the problem is in order to correct it for the safety of your future patients. A lack of funds, resources, and/or manpower being allocated is NOT an excuse. Moving forward, I hope to see progress as I will certainly continue to look into this matter. Thanks for your time.

Unless you show up as a code 1 in an ambulance you may die in the waiting room or on a gurney in line. It is a minimum 5 to 6 hours to be seen. The ER doctors I have dealt with were good but the neurologists on staff are so terrible that I …

This place is horrible cannot get answers on a loved ones medical issues.. TOOK THEM 6 DAYS TO GET PROCEDURES DONE WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE FIRST DAY!!! THEN 10 DAYS LATER THEY FINALLY " THOUGHT" They knew what was wrong but obviously not.. My loved one is still in ICU not responding! heed this warning DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS HOSPITAL OR TAKE YOURSELF HERE!!! Most of the nurses do their jobs so my hats off to them but other than that the doctors are HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Worst hospital I've ever been to. Was there for 7 days total and didn't get a regular room til day 4. We were put in a closet size room with no windows or shower when transferred there from another country. Most of the nurses were great but you never saw the same one twice and saw about 10 different doctors. We had to explain everything all over again at just about every shift change. The way that place is ran now is ridiculous! We had to get irate to get anything done because being nice wasn't cutting it.

This has to be hands down , the worst hospital in middle GA ... I was told several times that I have a bed upstairs , just waiting on transport aid, 9 1/2 hours later I'm still laying here waiting... I ask if I could eat something , an they say no , I can not ingeste anything by mouth ,,, yet she turns right around an bringd me meds an water an tell me to take them or not she doesn't care...very very rude an unprofessional

Lenice Folse

I experienced kind, educated, professional, & appropriate care from the moment I entered the Check-In area for pre-op until I was discharged after my surgical procedure. The Registration Staff were exceedingly solicitous. I have some trouble seeing and was told that they would sit with me & help complete the questions, etc., on the handheld tablet. That is not something I am used to. All of my test procedures were performed by 2 Medical Staff who sincerely respected my needs and concerns. The Medical Staff preparing me for my surgery were equally professional. The Nurse who started my IV, started my fluids, etc., was quick, efficient, & did not hurt me at all. Thank you all, very sincerely, Lenice Arlene Folse

Not sure if this is an ICU or humane society... Actually I'm sure the animals at the humane society are treated better then the patients in the ICU. What saddens me is the ICU nurses have hardened their hearts to the trama they face everyday and seem to not have support from their Admin team. There is no compassion with these ladies and gentleman and they seem to move along and would rather converse about their social lives amongest each other. It also seems that the hospital is under staffed and uneqquiped to handle the number of patients that are continually being admitted. I am visiting from Texas and maybe the way health care is done over there is better. But it makes me sad that this is the only place for people to come especially with this being a military community and our soldiers and retired soldiers deserve better.

Freddie Jones

Experience was horrible. Wife was in the ER for an awful headache and with a blood pressure of 205/100. It took hours for them to bring her meds. Staff seem like they really didn't care. Cleaning staff outside the door talking loud about what they did last night and making snap chat videos. Service is just awful.

Excellent staff. Explaining what to expect to help calm nerves.

My father was rushed here from Jackson after having a work injury. The got him into CT really quickly to take after that he was pushed in a corner and forgotten about. The nurse comes to discharge him and when I asked what did the CT show her response was "I have no idea" Did anyone come talk to y'all? What confuses me is that she was discharging him with saying anything to us. Just taking the IV's out and having him sign papers. NO MA'AM! Can we speak to a doctor please!!!! No we wait another 4 hours!!! Great service!

Nashawna Pounds

The worst hospital and care EVER!!! My mother was very very ill and left lung collapse from the EMT's putting a tube down her throat. When she arrived they put her on a ventilator. The next day we was told that there was nothing the doctors couldn't do anymore for her. So me and my grieving family decided to take her off the ventilator. We was very scared that day because we thought she was gonna die because the doctor said she might live an hour to a day. Thursday of last week she was taken off and today is Monday. She's still here and breathing on her own. With all this being said, doctors shouldn't tell families upsetting things that they really dont know and act like they don't have compassion for their patients. Only God has the last say in death, not man. I will never give this hospital my business again.

Birth Center Awesome. I really enjoyed my nurse during labor. The whole staff is great and caring and supportive. I thanks everyone for helping me and making this stay special for me and my family. Xoxo

This was the actual first time coming to a hospital where the staff actually smokes on the campus. Right in front of the door where McDonald’s is located. The actual staff that have their scrubs on smoking. I have asthma and smoke can sometimes affect me really bad. Where a sign is posted on the wall saying no Smoking. What he said about the rooms are correct my sister had been there for surgery at before six in the morning. Her and other patients that were supposed to getting a room they were in recovery all day long. That was rediculous. Ms. Ann she deserves 5 stars all by herself. She is the one that lets you know how your loved one is doing during surgery. She also checks to see if the room is ready. She took care of every single family to make sure we knew the report on the families during surgery and the one needing rooms afterwards. She was awesome and she was not young she was a older beautiful spirited person! She did a whole lot of walking and had joyous and happy spirit.

This place claims to be a level one trauma center and chest pain center. This is a JOKE! My husband waited over 5 hours with chest pains and was never seen by a doctor. He's had 2 previous heart attacks and has stents. He sees his cardiologist as required. At each appointment we are reminded for any chest pains or heart attack symptoms (and a list is reviewed to include the not so common symptoms) to report to the ER. When we inquired after 5 hours in the waiting room, the nurse said we're sorry some people have been waiting over 7 hours! This would have been helpful news when we arrived and could have made another choice for his emergent care.

This place is the worst. I'm saying this only because I had no choice but to give birth here for several reasons. Let's start from the beginning. My water broke and instead of being able to labor at home (to avoid hours of boredom + medical staff), my little sister called 911 before I could even say no. I arrived at the hospital and of course got looked at, had to fill out forms (who wants to do all that when in labor??), etc. The first nurse asked if I wanted an epidural or to birth au natural. I told her naturally. She basically laughed it off like, "yeah right girl." Strike one. Unprofessional. When I got into a room, I was immediately hooked up to antibiotics because I tested positive for GBS. This basically kept me bed-ridden. I couldn't get up and move around like I wanted to, to help with labor pains and such. Meanwhile, awaiting 10 centimeters, you can literally hear the nurses outside the door at their desks talking and making jokes about the mothers in their care. Of course, I was apart of the ignorance. For women who are also mothers and whatever, they had a lot to say and nothing positive or encouraging to give. They definitely aren't there to provide care but doing enough for their paycheck. Eventually the pain I was in was nearly getting me close to passing out and the last I wanted was to have them throw me in an emergency c-section or something so I was paranoid lol - I ended up getting an epidural. During pushing, one nurse I despised in particular was suppose to be helping me push but she was standing with her hands on my shoulders. I told her to remove herself and my mother stepped in and took over. Not long after, gave birth to my beautiful boy. We were later moved to the postpartum suite. All was well until the nurses and all these faces began to come in back and forth. One lady came in, in the middle of the night while my new baby was asleep to prick his foot so of course he woke up screaming and left me to soothe without apology - really chick? Really? Like it just couldn't wait as she says. I honestly could not wait to be discharged. The "professionals" in the birth center that I encountered were all unprofessional and lacked basic patient care skills. Minus ONE nurse who was perfect in my aftercare! Would I give birth here again? Nope. I chose a birth center in Atlanta for my second pregnancy and much happier about what I'll be experiencing there. I wouldn't recommend this place for emergency care either. Waits are foreverrrrrrrr and then some with nothing to offer in between. If you're on the verge of dying in pain or dying period, you better make a detour to the Coliseum or something.

I really believe the 3 stars medical center got is from employees or something because ain't no way this hospital has 3 stars...I went to this hospital on numerous occasions overnight and those er nurses are horrible. Now I know the stereotype is that 3rd shift workers are usually lazy and lethargic and just rude but wowwwwwwww it's seems truer than I thought ..My brother was left in a room for 15 hours before anyone did or said anything they gave him pain medication and then disappeared. Asked a nurse for water she had a whole attitude and never came back, she even acted like she was scared to touch my brother or he had something contagious, he just had joint pains...So I asked her ma'am may you treat him like this was your son or nephew laying in front of you because this is ridiculous. I just recently had another experience but I'll post that later it's an ongoing case at the moment.

7 hours and waiting... For a 10:30am appointment 6:35 PM Just took her back... I'll die at home before I come here again....you can get better care at your Veterinarian

My name is Don and I currently reside in Texas. Recently, my mother had a hip replacement at Navicent Health. Due to my work schedule and transport issues, I was unable to stay with my mother during her hospital stay. Leah, the Joint Navigator, took the time to call and give me updates on how my mother was doing. Very professional and knowledgeable. My mother is not an easy women to please but she won her over immediately. I felt confident about her care and I knew she was in good hands. I don't compliment people often, but Leah and the rest of the staff on 7 Main were wonderful. When I told her I wanted to write a letter or call someone to praise them, she said that would not be necessary but I felt compelled to do so anyway. Thanks Leah and Seven Main!

Had to call an ambulance to come pick up my husband, as he was in extreme pain, almost all of a sudden. The ambulance arrived within 10 minutes from the time I called, and loaded him up and were on their way to hospital. The staff at Navicent Health Hospital were friendly and professional, even though, unfortunate for my husband, we dont have health insurance. This did not stop them from tryingfo find out what ailed him. I thank God that we made that call. They literally saved his life last night!! Thank you so much!

Cheryl Price

Very good emergency room staff, especially France's and Dr. Wheatley.

Paula Crawford

My sister had a car accident. Went to er at 1230pm with cut on head, hurt back and ribs. Finally seen a doctor 2 minutes after 930 pm. 9 hours of waiting in lobby only to go to xray and blood work then back to lobby. By time she did see doctor, her head was healed over. I could have drove her home to north Carolina faster than what you provided.

Melissa T

The staff and doctors are very professional and are very nice.

Theresa Turner

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! No one will answer the call light even when you scream repeatedly for help. No fall precautions were taken for our family member who was at high risk for falls. The bedside manner of the staff was terrible. No one seems to care at all. No one took any action to make the situation better after multiple pleas for help. Please seek an alternative hospital. This place is the absolute worst!
