REVIEWS OF Martin Army Community Hospital IN Georgia

Linda Southard

The pharmacy sucks, it shouldn't take over an hour to get your prescriptions filled. Everytime I go there I have the same problem. Mist of the windows are not maned the ones that are the people either are not waiting on patients or they wait on one patient then sit and talk to coworkers even though they have a room full of patients waiting to pick up prescriptions. Something really needs to be done about this.

Dominique Farrington

Doctor didn’t even help with pain. Told me nothing was wrong with me . Refused to call an OB on call for issue . Would not give me a different medicine after I specified ibuprofen was not working

Mrs Marrero

THIS E.R DEPARTMENT IS HORRIBLE!! WE WAITED FOR OVER 6 HRS, WITH OUR 4YR OLD SON, HE WAS IN PAIN AND FRACTURED HIS ANKLE..I’VE BEEN IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR OVER 20 YEARS THIS HOSPITAL IS THE WORST I’VE EVER SEEN!!

called from 1000 miles away to check on a friend in the hospital to see if he has passed and she said i cant help you and hung up.....they need a major attitude adjustment.

0.5-1.0 Star⭐customer service experience at the Mammography department; Heads up, Ladies. Honestly, overall experience at Martin Army has historically been nothing less than five stars⭐. Care was exceptionally, in every manner; medical staff members were beyond kind, professional, and compassionate.

Sarai Florence

I was refused care because I had a service dog

I have had both good and bad experiences. The bad was the first PCM I was assigned. The lady didn't know her a** from a hole in the ground. She was careless with my health care. I now have a new PCM and she is fantastic. The emergency department is mediocre. Pharmacy is mediocre sometimes and awful at others. I once waited 2 hours for prescriptions just to be told to wait some more.

Dana B

You people are crazy. This hospital is top notch. Just bc you don't get what you want doesn't make it bad. I've always had the absolute best experiences here.

Josh Pratt

If you want to die in a waiting room then this is the place for you.

Sebastien V.

Great hospital. I had an outpatient surgery and was very satisfied with the quality of care, lab facilities, and pharmacy.

Nathaniel Everitt

My wife has a hysterectomy almost 2 weeks ago. Came to the er due to complications. We sat and waited hours before we were seen. I thought this was an " emergency room " I'm glad it wasn't a life or death situation. Worst hospital I've ever visited. Also in the radiology dept the staff minus 1 were completely rude and unprofessional. This is supposed to be a place for the ones who sacrifine everything to get the best treatment or for their family members. I wouldn't come back to this place if my life depended on it. They need to review their policies and fix this system. Being we came at 0500 I asked for the on call OB GYN they said they only had 1 doctor here at the er. They wouldn't notify the on call OB until the doctor here had seen her. I'm not a genius, but triage should be used with discretion when treating patients.

I had Sugery here and all the staff was amazing. Great experience thanks Martin army.

XAVIER AND DOROTHEE CROSS

Nice, quiet and clean! Everything a hospital should be! Sure there are some staff that are ugly but you’ll find that everywhere. What matters is that the majority of providers and employees are knowledgeable, kind and courteous!

TomKat Roe

Rude incompetent thoughtless and dangerous doctors! Staff from the top to the bottom could careless. Stay away from here and go to a civilian doctor. Strong/Green team are all residents and really are very under trained and arrogant . Just shame on MAH!

jairo arciga

Very unprofessional customer service they just never seem to get it right whether it be a simple check up to a serious emergency. No one here seems to believe courteous service is needed just a run of the mill basic training treatment no one in the end wins.

Karin Jones

I have been several times to the ER due to high blood pressure issues. They took me back right away and did any possible test there was. Each time! Staff was courteous and tried to make me comfortable. I was in and out each time in three hours. Was at st Francis er with my son, who was in so much pain that he laid on the floor! We waited a good 4 hours just to get in the back! Most ER s around here have a wait time of 5 hours or more! I think Mach is doing great. I have been with them for 28 years as a patient and cannot complain. I always feel very well taken care of!

r3con_woo

out of control criminal conduct in the ER

Brie Ambelang

My delivery and RNs were nice, but the pediatrics has lost my son's immunization records 3 times!!!! Then accused me of never bringing them, even though they transcribed them onto GA forms so I could enroll him in hourly care. Ridiculous.

William Toelcke

Served the in 1980,82 and its still there wow

Paul Ricker

8 hour ER wait is ridiculous!

Gelisa Lewis

The emergency room is the worst I have ever been to. I have been twice both times ridiculous wait times and limited staff!!!

Sheila Bartkoske

Since they got the new hospital it is so much nicer and easier to set appt when needed which is great ..

Gayle Gibson

Travis Werner

Gadiel Mendez

Worst staff ever, starting with the front desk, they can never be on time

Leila Vega

Some of the staff need to remember they are getting paid for providing good service. They act like they are volunteering for it, if they don’t want to be there they can always look for another job. I understand working in costumer service can be stressful but you always have to look for ways to help, people don’t go to the hospital just to have a good time. They obviously have something going on! The ER is terrible, they don’t have enough staff and the wait is always long. No matter your situation. The pharmacy is BAD, no matter if you only need one prescription, you’ll be waiting for hours!! It’s crazy and they need to address this. The reason for my ⭐️ is for Labor and delivery, they are amazing, and they deserve this star. The rest of the hospital... not really.

This review isn't about my primary care because my doctor is amazing, it's about the pharmacy in this hospital. It is one on the most disorganized and slowest pharmacies I have ever been too. They basically didnt give me everything my doc prescribed to me and when you call to try and see if they corrected the mistake these people won't even answer the phone. They seriously need to do better.

John Marston

Avoid this place. Not only are you dealing with the subpar army health care, ER wait times are hours upon hours even if you are in bad condition. Save yourself and go to a hospital that cares about patients

Nallely Parvin

LaKeisha Harris

The staff in the ER are awesome! They work as fast as they can and answer all of your questions!

First of all the appointment personnel is horrible. They always advise me of the worst routes to take. “Go to the ER” “We’re booked so we can’t make you an appointment... call back tomorrow” “Try after hours”. So I take their advice and make a trip to the “After Hours”. The after hours is not equipped to handle any illness that may require additional test. Next I go to the ER as advised. Once I arrive I was checked in pretty quickly. There are about 10 to 15 people waiting. You can expect your wait time to be anywhere between 4 to 8 hours. Unless you’re dying or dead if that is the case you will be seen immediately. So tomorrow I will have to call the to schedule an appointment in which I tried to do originally.

Greg Hardy

A great place to go if you want to die before being treated.

The mass sports/school physicals held on the weekends are horribly organized. When trying to make an appointment for sports physicals I was told I could not make an appointment and that they would be done on August 11 from 8-12, walk-ins. I come in with my kids and there is a sign that says “NO WALK-INS AFTER 10am”. Please tell me how they don’t accept walk-ins when I was initially told I could not make an appointment

Whom ever is in charge of the way the staff works from the pmc doctors to the pharmacy staff as well as SOME Psychologists should be utterly ashamed of his or herself... I can’t receive care when the people that are supposed to care, and I come to receive care from are to busy to actually care. Pitiful!! REALLY MAKES THE MILITARY LOOK INCOMPETENT. EXAMPLE: NO pmc looks up history of patient before seeing the patient. They as few questions for lack of time to spend on each patient. Would have been helpful to have done in my case considering the Steroid I was given actually can cause a type of diabetes or make it worse. I did not know this until I had to become a doctor of sorts just to be treated. Not the thing you would expect when your in pain and just need actual help. I have a history of diabetes and a think family history of it. I have been able to keep mine under control and had no knowledge of this medications effects from the pmc or the pharmacy. I had to go on line and find it. Not something someone in pain really has on their mind when wanting the pain to be better. Simply put shotty care for less that concerned people. I Not the first time the care and treatment here has left me baffled. The pharmacy ALONE as gone to its grave since the new hospital location. Medications are not explained. STAFF IS not asking if we have any questions just medications are put in a bag and people sent on the way quickly like its candy not potentially helpful or harmful medication. NO ‘repeat backs’ are done as instructed by law on some medications. I personally hate to wait. But if i have to wait on care that actually help and i am cared for i will wait as everyone needs a different amount of care time. This hospital and the way it is ran makes the doctors look and learn that time is more important than human life and wellness. What is that oath again? Hire more staff. Teach them to manage time not go on 30 breaks instead of being concerned. PMC are so rushed that they forget what they are to do. I have had my PMC tell me what he was putting in and forgets all of it. I have had to make another appointment just to remind him. Thats not care.

Ximena Rozo

Dr. Patel, who is currently working at Martin Army Community Hospital, is a very unprofessional doctor, she treats you in an uncompassionate manner. She is cynical, and make fun of your feeling, medical problems, diminishes your opinion and treats with you with disrespect. I have seen her twice and every time she left me with a feeling of frustration, anger, and emotional pain. she lacks the charisma and love necessary to serve military families.

Josh Z

Worse hospital I’ve ever been too they send you to sick call right away even though you get food poisoning.

Adrianna Martinez

ER is a joke. front desk ladies are rude. super unprofessional nurses and they take forever to check you out if they don’t believe it’s a real emergency. i was the only patient at 3am this morning and they were taking forever and made it a point that i should’ve went to a primary care doctor. they were wasting my time cause they felt as i was wasting theirs. really mean women that work here. why would i go in at 3am if i hadn’t felt like it were an emergency? i just ended up leaving cause i was tired of being treated badly when i already felt horrible. i didn’t just wake up and think it’d be a fun idea to go and hang out at the ER

Worst dental in the world... I got there at 12 in the afternoon. I didn't get out of the place until 7:30pm.. There where not many people there any how... They took 3 hours to pull one tooth out and I felt all of it . they wouldn't give me any more shots to num my mouth.. Worst experience ever

None Ya

Absolutely horrible!! If you are VA don't go!!!. You are considered bottom of the barrel. Sat in the lobby 3 hours. Told to go get food from downstairs and come back. Came back they put 3 people in front of me. I get called back to sit in a room for 25 minutes. Doctor called mes in 20 minutes after I complained. Told me it would be at least another hour. He checked the block and said the usual. "Well we will help you" in a very nonchalant way. I left. Now to patient advocate

Frank Wright

It's free but don't count on great service from many departments. You have extremes of great people and then not so great. Some at the counters appear to be bothered by you checking in for an appointment. As for diagnoses, don't count on one unless it's something simple.

Det Nine

Pediatrics front desk was irritable. Despite being AD in uniform, was given a different ticket category than all other AD in uniform at the pharmacy. Waited an extra 1 hour and 40 minutes waiting at the pharmacy than the AD in uniform person that checked in behind me.

melvyn jimenez

Worst hospital I've been to. They had us more than 3 hrs in the ER waiting room. They only had 2 doctors for thw ER Department and staff was rather rude.

semisi niusulu

The ED is a joke. I hate this hospital. The pharmacy is the slowest. You can easily spend 1-2 hrs waiting for your meds!

Tay Briana

This hospital is a joke and they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but give you the run around. They are rude, look at you like you are crazy and just plain ridiculous and unprofessional. The information desk people suck. Occupational Health employees SUCK. DO BETTER WHEN HIRING YOUR EMPLOYEES.

This review is ONLY for the Obstetrics Department: My youngest, of 4, was born @ MACH in 2015, 5 weeks premature. It turns out, I had sepsis & endometriosis & was hospitalized the following week due to my kidneys shutting down. I almost died because of the LIFE-THREATENING obstetrics department. My child was premature because my body was toxic, which caused my water to break early. Thanks to GOD, I went into labor or my baby and I could have both died. I had only ONE urine culture my ENTIRE pregnancy!! NEVER have a child there!!! Especially a preemie! Go to Midtown where they have a NICU. Dr. Ohm & Midwife Asiatico are neglectful for OB care! I didn't have an attending physician during nor after the birth! I NEVER received a postpartum exam, only a consultation, because I "wasn't due for my annual" for a few more months?!!! I had just had a baby AND nearly died!!! The WORST care I have EVER received. Of course, the ONLY child I ever had at a military hospital. Good thing, or I may already be dead! I NEVER had ANY issues with any of my other children; all large, healthy children, until this little one. I had to go to an out-of-state specialist to have a hysterectomy, along with several other procedures, because my illness was so severe. We wanted another child, but the doctors and midwife made our decision for us. I now ONLY see a GYN @ Midland. Don't risk your life, or baby's life over getting an outside referral!!

Tommy Cort jr

I found the doctor Patel is rude and can't understand English There when you repeat the same thing 3 times she don't understand what you're saying because the doctors are so 3rd world they need to hire military doctors instead of people that don't care I she didn't even read the chart before she came in room And didnt even bring up my referral Acted like a zombie She didn't wanna be there The hospital service is poor

The ER is painfully slow... 3 and a half hours just to check out a sore throat?! The doctor and nurses were fine.. but what an obnoxious wait! Notice I said doctor. Singular. There was one doctor in the ER! Why do you only have one doctor on call?!

William Lewis

Bring my dad out to MAH every six weeks as a Coumadin patient. Every week the wait gets longer and longer. Today (12-8-16) he waited almost 2 hours to be seen. Staff claims there were 8 people ahead of him when in actuality there were only 3. Never had these issues at the old MAH. My dad is a 20 year vet (ret 74) and I myself am a 4 year vet. Employess/Staff have the worst attitudes of any place of business Ive ever visited. How about get off your damn cell phones, laughing and carrying on like a bunch of dang fools. One word that MAH lacks in their vocabulary, PROFESSIONALISM. This place is a dang zoo. Way to go MAH keep up the good work.

Shelby Willingham

terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New hospital, same OLD civilian leaders.

Jazmine Tillman

Ive been going to this hopital for over a decade. I dont know about the regular doctors but pediatrics is a nice welcoming place. I didnt like my doctor at firsr but then i grew ti like her. Yeah sometimes the emergency room takes a while to look at yoy but it is ranked on who has more serious problems. And what emergency room dosent take forever. Especially in the weekends and party holidays. Like people are acting like this is the worst hospital ever but it isnt. I like this hospital and wouldnt want to switch.

chrisss .77

This is the slowest hospital ever I swear. I just came to get my throat checked and I’ve been here for 4 hours just waiting. Haven’t even made it to the pharmacy yet. Knowing this place, when I do it’s probably gonna take another 2 hours just to get a lousy bottle of pills

My son collapsed during training and suffered extreme heat stroke. He was rushed by ambulance to Martin. He was moved from the ER to the ICU. Every staff member that I came in contact with were amazing!! The hospital Commander can even be seen walking the floors and when my son was alone without family and scared in the ER waking up in pain and hooked to machines, the hospital Commander himself took the time to talk to him. When we arrived, he was in the ICU and you would not have asked for better patient care. Every Doctor, Resident, and RN that stepped foot into his room were great!!! I am forever thankful to everyone who had a part in my son's care. I know that when his life was on the line they took the necessary measures to make sure my son was taken care of.

No one picks up at the my number listed

Trophy Wife

Dr Patel in the ACC is exceptional. She’s very thorough. Making sure every question you have is answered. Sometimes she can be like a General when labs or mammogram hasn’t been done. She has been my doctor for 6 years.

Overall a decent hospital. I have been in numerous clinics at this facility and there are ok. It is hit and miss depending on what clinic/section you are seeing. The staff for the most part are friendly but that isn’t the case across the hospital. Pharmacy is crazy so if you are picking up any prescriptions please be prepared to wait for a long time!

Samantha Nelson

Horrible service. Almost everyone is rude, the doctors are more interested in giving you drugs and getting you gone than finding out what's wrong. If you question anyone they get an attitude with you and your care is worse. I get sick to my stomach when I have an appointment there knowing what I'm about to be put through. Go off post if at all possible, it's not worth your health going there.

Adriana Chiesa

I went yesterday february 15, to ER with my son, arrived at 6:30 pm at 11:40 we were moved to the room where at 1:00am the doctor had not arrived. This is a lack of consideration and respect. I understand that there were only 2 doctors but please, with so much trainees and spouses that is not enough. Very disappointed.

Candice Warren

Throughout the last two years, I have had a baby delivered at Martin Army, I was re-admitted a week later due to worsening pre-eclampsia, my husband had shoulder surgery, and we had an ER trip with our six-month-old son. All were extremely positive experiences. I was in the midwife program, and loved all of the midwives. My birth experience was perfect! They did everything they could to keep my blood pressure low so that I wouldn't need a magnesium drip during labor. When I had to be re-admitted a week later, they worked to re-admit me back into Labor and Delivery so that my husband could stay with me and our newborn. We loved all but one of the nurses that we had during both visits. During our ER visit, the nurses and doctors were very sweet and helpful, and after a few hours of monitoring and tests we were sent home with a full arsenal to help us with our sick child. My husband's shoulder surgery was successful, they gave him enough Percocet to last him a few days and then refused to give him more (which, although it sucked that he had a hard time sleeping for a few nights, I was impressed due to always having heard that military hospitals are notorious for aiding drug addiction. This was absolutely not our experience). Overall, if you're looking for negatives, you'll find them. But our experiences have been overall very positive and we are extremely happy Martin Army patients!

My simple stories With Bets

The ER isn't that good I agree, but the podiatry people are amazing! When I broke my foot almost two years ago they were very nice and I made a few friends. A great hospital better than the first one.

Curtis DeLoach

Well-equipped, excellent facilities.

Misty Dyer

They are all about brushing patients off. I have felt I was just a number. I believe they are highly incompetent. I will never allow them to take part of my health again.

Bradly Williams

(please read the following as an announcer on an infomercial) Are you military? Would you enjoy feeling like a second class citizen? Look no further than military medicine. Doctors will argue, fail to do simple refills, leave you on hold for hours at a time. Why? Because you have to go here. You have no choice. Even the high ranking supervisors will blow you off, refuse to return calls and even refuse to come out front when you go to their office. No one answers to anyone and no one is held accountable. It's pandemonium!

kingsley walters

I have been here for 7 hours just waiting to see a doctor. The service here is terrible. Should have went off post.

Calvin Bradford

Worst emergency room I've ever been to.

A. A

Most of the nurses are very incompetent and don't have any idea how to handle patients. They're GHETTO and RUDE! Please, Martin Army Hospital, hire people who take the job serious and aren't afraid to do their jobs or ask patients for their expertise. Geez!

Mary Davis

The services provided to soldiers and their families as well as retirees I can't complain about. The reception / customer service is something all together different. I felt like I was interrupting the staff members when I checked in for my medical appointment...

Kyle Bushor

Horrible service, and impossible to get in contact with anyone in the hospital. You can only contact the appointment line to reach any of the clinics and the will "call you back." Ha! Yeah right! its best to stay away from this place.

Breanna Copfer

Josephis Wade

Great hospital!

Johnny Thomas

Wrong dose of medication given. Staff at pharmacy plays around to much. No oversight in regards to pharmacy staff.

Josh Klee

Some of the civilian support staff are ignorant and lazy. I won't go back.

Dustin Hudgins

Martin Army Community Hospital, commonly abbreviated on post as MACH, is an outdated medical facility constructed in 1958. However old, MACH has rather high standards for patients, and as much as I frequent the hospital, the staff are very cordial and understanding. ER waiting time is horrendous; however, this should be remedied with the construction of the new Martin Army Community Hospital, scheduled to open in November 2014.

Trista Bryan

*Most* staff members are courteous and seem to care about patients. I actually would've said I liked this hospital (the dr offices) until my most recent experience. The ER is just horrible. Yes, everybody knows to expect a wait at an ER, however when I got there, there was only me and 1 other patient and the wait was insane. Once I actually went back to be seen, they told me they didn't have the equipment to tell me what was going on (@ an er??), & still didn't get me out until 3 hours later (again ???). Was supposed to set me up with a follow up app with pcp the next day but actually set it up a different day than stated. The ER doc also left out other pertinent info that should've been relayed to me.

Stephen Doney

I have had an ok experience with the doctors, but this review is mainly for the ladies who work behind the desks at most every clinic on the 1st floor that I’ve been to (Oak Ridge, Upatoi and Pediatric). They are rude and act like they don’t get paid to work there. They definitely need to improve the customer service and don’t me get started on the pharmacy! It’s a nightmare!

Dustin Parvin

My experience with this facility and staff has been disturbing and unsatisfying. My wife, was 9 months pregnant and the doctors sent her back home while she was in labor. I quote the doctors, "we need you to be dilate to 6 before we can keep you". Keep in mind people we told them her water broke, and she was at a 5. After going home and coming back a hour later she was dilated to 8. They were slow and seem as if they didn't care. we arrived at 2000, they did not get her an epidural shot until 2330. It took the doctor over an hour and half to respond. Then, once the anesthesia doctor came about, he hit a nerve and busted a blood vassal in her back. When giving this shot, your spine and lower body is suppose to be in a straight line. They had her lob sided on the bed. I had to tell the doctor she was positioned wrong. Now, lets fast forward a few months. My daughter has eczema, we have been seeing a dermatologist. The Doctor told us to put petroleum jelly her face because its natural and that will work the best. So, we did and her face got worse. We later learned, putting petroleum jelly on her face was the worse thing we could have done. The cream that I told them, that was working the best. They told us to stop using it as much. So, now her face is worse then ever. This same doctor told us and I quote, "just because oat meal is natural, doesn't mean you should put that on her face, I mean poison ivy is natural and I wouldn't put that on my face. However, petroleum jelly is good for her to put on her face, if she eats that, she will be ok. I mean petroleum jelly is natural". So, I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. This place is hot garbage. I left out names to protect identity. Also, when my daughter was born they prescribed the 'rugby' poly-vitamin to give to her. I stopped using it when she was three months old, because this item was recalled. In addition, they kept trying to refill this prescription, I had to keep telling them it was recalled. She is 11 months old, and she still has a prescription for this said item.

Melissa Bonnet

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!! I sat in the lobby after I was checked in for over 4 hours. Now I'm in the room with my daughter only a nurse has come by to give me a cup for urine... it's been 4 hours of that cup sitting on the counter and I let her know immediately after my daughter use the restroom... the dr hasnt come into the room... just the worst experience ever! If I can give it 0 stars I would! Dont recommend to anyone!!!

Charles Ridgeway

Emergency department will have you waiting countless hours waiting to be triaged and seen once in the back by a doctor. Hospital not set up to handle trauma. Depending on the clinic you are being seen usually will be seen 30 minutes after your appt time even if your are there 15 minutes prior. Fridays are the best day to sit in the pharmacy. Rest of the week go after 1500 to the pharmacy.

I have been to Martin Army Hospital countless times. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. My doctor's have been very through in all aspects of my care (inpatient and outpatient). Only reason I am not able to give a 5 star rating is the wait time at the pharmacy. Up to 2 1/2 hour wait times. Overall I think Martin Army Hospital is first rate!!

Erick Caba

Other than giving out prescription medicine I don’t know why this place even exists...

Ashley Rosenkranz

Pediatrics is amazing...Dr.Darvish is wonderful and you can tell he truely cares about his patients...only negative is getting appointments

Michaela Sissom

Would give no stars if possible. The ER is extremely slow. I was there for almost 7 and a half hours. I've never been in an ER so long. I thought in an emergency it would be faster but I was very wrong. I should have went to a different hospital.

Christian Kilthau

This place has terrible customer service on the weekends. It took 45 min to get a prescription filled when I was the only one in line... My surgeon was supposed to write me a prescription after my surgery I called him at 1300 (Thursday) and he told me to come in at 1600 to get my prescription but instead he left at 1400 never filling my prescription on a 4 day. So now I have to wait 8 hours in the ER to get my prescription. Where it took 45 min to fill. Cannot believe that they are a hospital. Gotta love government health care

sinnombre nemo

If you want better costumer service, you better make an ICE complaint! This whole hospital has been a big headache. They're always overbooked so if you get there 15mins warly, be ready to wait another 30 mins on top of that. The women's health center is a nightmare, they're always trying to rush you out of there. I unfortunately had to give birth here, was told to go home because the doctor couldn't tell if I was at 3 or 4cm's, even though I live 25miles away from here. Turns out i was at 5cm when he decided to check once again an hour later, and gave birth hours later.... the nurses did go above and beyond, I will say that. I was also told I would be getting dispatched less than 24hrs after giving birth. Avoid coming here if you can.

Costumer Center Service here need to get fired or laid off. There manners are so poor that i cant even describe it without me getting angry. I call this hospital to help us from our problem, i should be happy that i found out that im going to be a father so my first action is for my wife to get check out and get the things that she needs. As soon as they answered the phone the costumer service gave me an attitude like why am i calling her instead of someone else. So i just keep my cool and just ask her the things i need to know, i explain her my situation and i ask her for guidance. The only thing that she gives me is a number and she didn't even ask me if i am ready to take notes. but i am ready but she still fast so i have to ask her again. this time she sarcastically say the number slowly and loudly and after that i said "alright i got it mam" before i even say thank you she already hang up. just blows my mind how this people like this work on a services. i mean im in the military i train to fight, defend and kill the enemy of the united states of america in close combat and i am sure i will not say to the terrorist "hold on! im tired i need to take a nap" i sign for this job. i get paid to do my job and i hope the people that works there do the same for us! They get paid to do a job! and expect they do it! and if the pay is small! well get the hell out of that job! Give it to someone who wants the job! So if you want to know something about this hospital? go to martin army hospital dont waste your time asking the costumer service. your just going to upset your self.

Some of the ladies at the front desk were sweet but captain Koenig was very rude. I waited almost an HOUR to be seen even though I had an appt and was 15 min early..When captain Koenig finally came in spoke to me like I was not only stupid but beneath her. She spend 5 minutes lecturing me about something completely irrelevant all while throwing her hands in the air almost kind of like she was a girl raised in the streets with lots of attitude but in a white girl tone... very strange in her profession. I thought this was a hospital where people were supposed to act appropriately... specially her. Shes supposed to be a DOCTOR... her job is to make me feel at ease and build a good relationship that way we can get our points across and figure out the answers to my questions, concerns and problems. This was also my first time here at an army hospital.. extremely turned off that I just left. I did end up going back one more time, this time with my husband and dr. Davis who ended up going to Germany 5 days later was way better than her.. a little too religious for my liking but at least he was sweet.. the wait time was long again but at least he took his time once we were actually in the same room. In the end this hospital was very disappointing. My husband thought it would be the best since the army "supposedly" gives the BEST care for the soldiers and their families. It's supposed to be a perk.. I prefer going off post than this. It's very unfortunate for people who can't afford to be seen elsewhere but oh well. Go army I guess..

this is only towards the emergency room, because my other doctors were amazing. if you are in so much pain, that you have to go to the emergency room, please go somewhere else. they take a million years, and they don’t give you the respect that you need. they are rude, and they all just sit around majority of the time.

I cannot say every dept is bad or good. The 3 main dept's I have been to more than once are Family Practice, Allergy Clinic (Allergy - Immunology Service), and Pharmacy. One bad experience I had at family practice was calling for a same day appt to be told the appt wasn't in the system when I got there, but they fixed it by finding a provider who would see us anyway. That was greatly appreciated. When we moved here from Ft. Stewart in late 2017, the family practice was extremely helpful in ensuring the medications we needed were maintained and even brought into the pharmacy formulary so they would be easier to obtain. The only major issue is there are many times you are asked to arrive early to be seen over 45 min late from the appt time. That is rough if you have a tight schedule. I try to avoid this by scheduling with a large window of time between my next obligation. The pharmacy wait can be long. I feel they should text you when your script is ready so you can go to cafeteria or walk around the beautiful hospital, the water feature is nice. The Allergy Clinic is awesome!! If you want to have better communication with your providers Relay Health is mandatory. So almost 8 months after we moved here we asked for a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist and of course was sent to the Optical Clinic at the hospital. This is a negative 3 stars solid... We showed up 15 min early to appt and were told they were short a doctor and tried calling patients (bs) no calls showing from them.... Told it would take an hour. Got through screening and told it could actually be way longer maybe 2-3 hrs. Which is unacceptable. My daughter started feeling ill to point of looking for bathroom so I went to front to reschedule and they realized we needed to leave fairly quick so wrote down their number to make new appt. I called and left a message 3 times and no one has called me back.save yourself a huge time sink and headache and just see one of the Optical clinics at px. I wouldn't go back to that clinic for anything. If we get a referral for something more serious than routine eye care, I will ask for civilian eye doctor off post.... The eye clinic is not professional at all.

ER is great! They thoroughly checked my wife and did multiple tests on her both times we were there. We actually saw a Dr. vs clinics in Atl where they spent minimum time and analysis before misdiagnosing her. I had shoulder surgery here and they did a good job all around.
