REVIEWS OF Cartersville Medical Center IN Georgia

I was impressed mostly because they stayed on schedule. The nurse brought me back immediately, I waited very little before the next person arrived to get my information, And, then before I knew it I was waking up. I got a phone call afterwards, a card, and now this email. Everyone was so nice, professional and friendly.

I absolutely loved my nurse Meg in the maternity ward. She was so sweet! All of the nurses I had were great! The only thing I didnt like and truly feels need to change is the constant 1 hour check they have to do. If I just spent hours in labor I would like to rest, but it was nearly impossible. I had to ask to not be bothered so I could rest. It should be a few hours designated for rest after giving birth.

A truly horrendous place to be. Staff is very rude and inconsiderate. I couldn’t get a straight answer to any questions regarding my health. Entire process was very lengthy and I hardly received any help. I would not recommend this center to anyone. If you value your health and want helpful medical attention, this is not somewhere you want to be. What a waste of time!

I can only speak for the Maternity/Delivery care...SO IMPRESSED. After having our first son at Kennestone, we switched to Cartersville for our 2nd to be closer to home and to (hopefully) receive better bed-side manners. While the amenities/interiors may not be the most upgraded and prettiest to look at, the customer care we recieved was superb (which was more important to us). Every single person who we interacted with during delivery and postpartum care was absolutely fabulous. Extremely kind, considerate, thoughtful and helpful. We never felt rushed or uncomfortable, which is the opposite of our first childbirth. I couldn't say enough wonderful things about these nurses, doctors, volunteers, and employees who truly made an imprint on us. THANK YOU!

Spent 12 days there then discharged with no diagnosis. Poor quality doctors. Family doctor said to never go there again.

ER is run very professionally, cant anything bad, except we entered the doors, back in a room 5 mins. Room had no bed, was dirty all around edges looked like sheetrock had been redone, all types of pieces of paper on floor. Employee went nuts and found s bed,as my husband was suffering bad pain. Asap Dr Garrett and Burro came, talked to us, took him to have cat scan they 1st thought galdstones, that wasnt it, MRI done, nothing, ultrasound done, nothing showed up,and the colon scope prep med was determined to be the culprit causing pain, as test showed 56000 count,so it was pancreatitis. A room came open 3pm on Wed. I went home for bath,Thurs wee hours, Wayne said s lady dr came in, ask if he hurt, he says no,she said, well Im going to discharge yu as your enzyme count is down to 1250. When i arrived and heard this I went nuts. He had been on strong opiods since entered in ER, out like a light on the floor, where he was posted to have nothing by mouth,to starve thr pancreas and let it heal. I asked if he had been tried on water, or gotten up to go potty, or tried on liquids, answered no.I took him to potty, ordered liquids and a scrambled egg. She brought cranberry juice ,and said the kitchrn stated they couldnt do an egg after breakfast hours. I asked for applesauce, she brought it,he ate it,layer no pain. She told us 5 times, she was told to discharge him,and I said, when I see a dr. Not until. Then a lady brings in s tray with over fried chicken, hard bread hard as a hockey puck,a salad, juliened veggies, mac n cheese, and i asked if she saw the posting that read nothing by mouth? She left the tray anyway. Still no dr. I was told again, I am to undo the IV and discharge yu. She did, nurses were outside our 331 door, talking, that word had come to send anybody home they coukd, as ER was stacked. I finally gave in to take him home,She hands us a perscription for a pain med tramadol. I refused it as I knew he had been saturated with opiods since arrival. Still mo dr to discharge a seriously sick man, only a nurse. Nobody told me what to do for him, no discharge orders for home, for diet now or later, no what physically he can or cant do, no order to see another dr or a specialist. Nothing. I said go get me a wheelchair and well go. I was told they had none, but the precious asian nurse, who ran between my questions and answers from someone she only called. Dr said, I will go help yu get him to car. He hadnt been tested to stand alone or walk alone by anyone. She was the only professional on third floor,no doctors to ask questions , or give orders. She was a middleman for whoever was supposed to he on duty, and had Doctor by his name. I am getting in touch with the state, to ask why a hospital is room thus badly. Whoever makes decisions for your ER, needs to be administrator. That unit is on top of everything, had doctors there for us, keeping me in the loop about all they were doing, why, and the results. They were over run with cases of the flu, but those of us who needed quick results got it. Go to the ER, but if yu are to be admitted, ask for sn ambulance and go to Rome. After seeing gastro doctor we've been told, pancreatitis patients, usually stsy in hospital, on IVs, for min of 4 to 5 days, not 40 hours. My husband has lived thru a nightmare of pain and sheer neglect. J Swett

Excellent staff! I was made to feel like a human being instead of a number!

Shannon Brown

This was the best experience from the staff to the cleanliness of the hospital. Southern Hospitality from the greeting to The escort leaving. I had a hysterectomy by Dr. David Warren and a big thumbs up

If I could give a 0 I would. Lazy doctors won't even check patients out. This place needs to shut down. Go in there cause you haven't urinated in 24 hours and they say you look good and send you home. PLEASE SHUT THIS WORTHLESS BAND AID STATION DOWN. I called administration and she can't talk to me cause of hippa laws. That doesn't prevent you from filing a complaint you idiot.

Wellstar Paulding is the BEST Hospital in my area. I have gone there for over 20 years (both old & new location). They treated me great even when I used to not have health insurance & now I still receive the same exceptional care. Quality of care, cleanliness, and the BEST bedside manner are all outstanding. In particular, they are excellent at cervical spinal epidurals. Yesterday, I had to go to Cartersville Medical Center for an epidural & the stark contrast in the quality of care was shocking. NEVER go to Cartersville Medical Center if you don’t have to. I have been to Harbin Clinic for one epidural & they are way better than Cartersville Medical but still no hospital compares to Wellstar Paulding. My primary care physician can no longer refer me to Wellstar Paulding Hospital for epidurals (but still can for other things) & I really miss that high level of care.

My wife is a patient here on 3 north. Our main nurse on the day shift has been Mary. Don't let her fool you, she seems nice but if you ask for her to come to your room for a concern she takes her time. Sometimes over or more an hour to get there. Today is Friday 8-3-18, our room number is 341, I walked out into hallway and over heard Mary making fun of us to another nurse, about my wife's swelling in her legs, and the redness around the place where my wife had complete replacement knee surgery. I will never come back here or my wife for anything. Like I said don't let the nursing staff fool you, they are not what they pretend to be. Kevin Harless.

I had a hip replacement done on April 9 by Dr Burnette from Georgia Bone and Joint at Carteersville Medical. Discharge on April 11. The surgery was very successful. I was very impressed with the high level of professionalism, attentiveness and friendliness of the nurses and medical staff at CMC.

Let me just start out with my husband had his 600 lb Harley slide off the bike trailer onto his arm trapping it between a pole and the bike, it was noticeably swollen, as well as elevated blood pressure (168/111) bc of the pain alone. Triaging system was great loved the triage nurses. And all good ended there. We were brought back to a room with food and Band-Aids, old ivs and food bags left all around the room. No nurse ever came, the doctor showed up poked his arm with two fingers (literally) and said we are going to do a splint and have you go to your orthopedist. Here we are two hours later no splint, no nurse (still never met her, don't even know who she is) and no Motrin, no ice pack. Nothing. We are still here, over two hours. I finally went up to the nurses station where three nurses and a tech were literally sitting talking for over 15 minutes. (Yes at this point I'm Petty and timing them) so I go up and politely ask if she could give me any kind of ETA on the splint she told me no it will be a few minutes bc they are very busy... After she finally looked up our orders and saw a splint and another nurse said oh I don't know how to do one. Are you kidding me this is your level of professionalism. That's supposed to reassure your patients they are safe with you. Then she promptly ignored me and continued having their conversation about how much sleep they got the night before. I am now looking, 32 minutes of not moving, yes seems very busy to me. And before you think I'm Petty, my mother is the an manager of a prominent local ers, my father is a lead paramedic with local county, and myself I have worked in medical field 10 years. I have never ever experienced the horrendous patient care as Cartersville medical center. I would not send a soul to this location until some major improvements have been made.

Garrett S

DO NOT GO! EMT blatantly lied and had the most unqualified, unintelligent, so called dr. that did nothing but harm.

Carolyn Banks

Waiting room for 2 hours. The system they have does not work. Theynees to revisit the plan and come up with something better. New facility same service.

My daughter went in over the weekend for labor and deliver, the nurse was so rude and unprofessional that every time a different nurse enter the room...neither made a proper greeting. Not even introducing themselves as who they we're or what the issue was or the procedures required for my daughter. When she refused them from caretaking on her and the nurses took upon herself to get even by stabbing my daughter in the arm multiple times for a iv FLUIDS! Never again...this was a recent occurrence. The young nurses are highly unprofessional and rude when it comes to doing their job PROPERLY. IT'S ALL HORSEPLAY AND NO WORK OR CONCERNS!

Phil Orton

The care and compassion the CMC staff showed my family was above and beyond. I can’t thank them enough.

Insurance Scam.. DO NOT LET THE EMERGENCY ROOM KNOW YOU HAVE INSURANCE!! They will offer you a 87% discount (mentioned multiple times I was sitting there along with an offer for charity services to pay the remaining 13%). Worst case you can check out the bill and see if you want to have it filed after the fact. My bill was $5,569. So 13% would have been $723.97 and they require you pay $0 up front. Now the insurance side. If your insurance is like mine you'd have a $200 up front fee. They "discounted it" to $160 if you pay up front. There is no discount you just have to pay it later. Ok well insurance paid them $845, and then my portion of it was $1,032.59. Well at least I paid $160 up front so now my bill is $872.59. So insurance rate for their services = $1,882.96 (66% off list) Uninsured rate for their services = $723.97 (87% off list) Never ever let them know you have insurance, far cheaper to take the uninsured rate on something simple. I'd go in uninsured either way and let them re-file after the fact. Wouldn't care but asked for the uninsured rate on what the insurance did not pay and was denied. So here's a hint to the rest of you, make them miss out on the insurance payment as well.

Absolutely wonderful experience with all the nurses and the team that delivered our baby! They were always kind and helpful even in my emotional/hormonal state... They checked on us at appropriate times and gave us plenty of quiet time too! So impressed by everyone we met!!! Thank you all on the Mother/Baby floor!

Angie Stottler

Had out patient diagnostic imaging. The techs and Radiologist are fantastic.

Marion Hargrove

Excellent treatment!

george fann

was treated in a very good way

Ed Drake

The entire staff was part of the surgery. Everyone was capable and willing to get it done. Great experience.

I'mTurrible

I've had 2 kidney stones in this ER BOTH times I had to sit in excruciating pain for 3-5 hours while patients who came in literal hours after me get treated first. Wouldn't give me anything for the pain.

Tina Armstrong

They truly care about my health and me personally. I can't imagine letting anyone else take care of my medical needs. They always keep my family informed and take care of anything they need.

Don King

I recently was admitted to the ER on Saturday about 12:30 P.M. I was feeling nauseous and having frequent dizzy spells. After a period of time medications were administered to relieve this condition. Then I was sent to have a cat scan to determine what was causing the intense pain in my abdomen. It took about one to two hours to get those results. As I mentioned to the RN on duty, everything seems to be moving at a very slow pace. The results finally came in. The readings were unclear due to the massive amounts of inflammation present in the area of concern. I gave you the history of my experience so you would have a base for my complaint. After everything above was complete, I was not admitted or moved to a hospital room for approximately seven hours! Seven hours is a very unreasonable amount of time to wait for a hospital official to make a decision. The RN agreed that it shouldn’t be this way. No, it shouldn’t. But it was.............. The ER needs to be evaluated in terms of efficiency and customer care. I will commend them for eliminating the nausea and dizziness but the remaining time was handled unprofessionally. Don King

Allan Stein

The only problem I had was that I didn't find out the results of the test until Monday.

In the past few months I have been hospitalized at CMC a total of 8 admissions, I believe it is now. I am absolutely sickened that I somehow just now accidentally deleted an extremely detailed review, that I posted for CMC a few weeks back! Administration did post a nice response back to me, so at least I am comforted by the fact that my review and satisfaction with this facility was previously acknowledged. Hopefully, all of the staff individually praised before and had listed by name were already given their kudos. I listed so many nurses and techs by name that it probably would've been easier just to say the following - I RECEIVED SUPERLATIVE CARE FROM EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER ENCOUNTERED IN EVERY SINGLE DEPT, from the ER, Rapid Admit (Dawn, RN and I have about become close friends at this point,a simply amazingly beautiful person!), 2nd and 3rd floor, all nursing units, all RNs, PCTS, Housekeeping, Dietary,(lady who brought my trays especially kind & thoughtful, helping with limited selections permitted me, assisting with my tray/table,etc) Nutrition, Registration, Radiology, Lab, all Hospitalists (except for ONE Physician, who I am filing seperate concern directly to Administration as it's not fair to discuss that here & affect overall ratings of the other 99.9% amazing staff) all Physicians & specialty referrals, any & all depts. I worked in healthcare for 30+ years, never have I (personally nor professionally) witnessed such an amazing overall culture as exhibited here!Especially, as it pertains to patient rights, privacy, comfort & HIPAA! Truly compassionate staff! Everytime I presented through the ER, violently ill. Every time treatment was promptly rendered. Nurses began working on me immediately. Physician saw me asap. Meds for my comfort were administered very fast! All tests were ordered, conducted, and test results returned just as quick as humanly possible. I've worked in many ERs, from small to Level 1 and 2 trauma centers. I have never witnessed such a quick t.a.t as this ER. I am so very sorry that I lost that previous review where I listed so many individual people. Please praise and commend all of your staff members. They are all so deserving! So very many high quality, competent, compassionate people! Many of the nursing personnel there are probably some of the best in the industry nationwide! I noticed Terri, RN had several Daisy award pins, certainly very well-deserved! Both her and Mary, charge RN were very caring and obviously extremely highly skilled, top level nursing at it's finest! Forrest, you have no idea probably that a very simple gesture on your part of bringing an NPO patient first permitted ice chips, a quarter of a popsicle instead, would be such a huge thing to me! Very thoughtful! Thanks so much to all the staff I listed in that previous review. I hope so much, perhaps we got lucky and someone there printed a copy. I also submitted commendations for many of you! For this latest stay, my gratitude to April, Stacey, Lyto, Julie, Lauren, Suzanne, Laticia, Aurelius, Emily, Ronald, Kayla, and Hannah. Sharon, Jarrod and Jamie were all so very prompt and considerate, esp in regards to my requests and concerns. I must add that Jamie has got to be THE Sweetest Angel of a Nurse I have ever encountered! All staff are all excellent at their individual job tasks and positions! PLEASE please, every one else out there who have received as wonderful care as I have, give your fair and honest review. We all know that only writing negative reviews only brings down a facility's overall score and CMC so richly deserves more fair scoring than what we see recorded. No patient should have any reservations of being transported or treated at this very fine hospital! Let's all take the time to help escalate their score. Again, they all work so hard in there and deserve it! For me to now have been treated this wonderful, on such the consistent basis for this many admissions, it's just absolutely Phenomenal! God Bless all of you for being such a blessing to not only myself, but to my family as well!

T P

These folks wont pay their bills! Bet they charge the patients though.

Nicole Wenzel

The ER staff was knowledgeable, quick, and extremely friendly. Everyone from the check in to registration to the PA, nurses and techs that I had interactions with were concerned about my pain and getting me places quickly and comfortably. I would definitely go back.

RJ Mathews

Everyone was really friendly. This is the second time I've been treated at CMC. If one has to go to the hospital, this is the place to go. A special about out to the lady that have me a follow-up call. She was super friendly.

John Taylor

My Amy has been here twice and both times she liked the place. The second time she asked to be taken here and not to Kennestone. I looked at some of the other reviews and my favorite is Cecil who complained about visiting hours. It would seem they were more concerned with what they could do and not so much about the welfare of the patient. As far as I'm concerned you people are ACES!!

Kristin Greason

They did a CT Scan and one of the tech's clearly said that my Spleen is enlarged well the doctor never said anything to me about it. And I am still in pain. I believe they should have took it out.

Angie Gilreath

my g/f was recently admitted to Cartersville Medical center which was not my first choice but due to the illness we needed to go to the closest hospital. I do NOT regret the decision at all.. she was given very personal and prompt attention. she was admitted to the 3rd floor (342) and her care level was top notch.. the care team was very attentive and hands on and professional both day and night shift... I would recommend this facility and would trust them to care for my family at any point

Lori Woodall

I had a scary by WONDERFUL experience! Dr Simmons is AMAZING and his staff is as well. Hope in his office is the sweetest thing ever. Down stairs in Imaging...they all are wonder as well. Danell is also AMAZING and makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. Thank you all! I HIGHLY recommend Cartersville Medical Center (Harbin Clinic). Lori

richard daniels

Professional and courteous. Update: recently had outpatient surgery. All the staff exceeded what I expected for my situation! Best experience I've had at any medical facility! Thanks for the awesome job!!

Janice Bishop

Terrible. My husband was so sick, dizzy, upset stomach. When he moved he threw up. He could not walk. We arrived before 12:00. He was taken to a room. We waited. They got temp. and blood pressure. Both were high. When the doctor finally came in, he ordered blood work. He said husband was dehydrated, ordered IV. We waited 2 hours! I kept going to nurse to find out what was going on. He finally got the IV. After an hour I had to find nurse to tell her it was empty. We waited. At about 7:15 I went to nurses desk again. This made my 4th trip. I told them I had to leave, would they please put my husband in a room with many blankets, he was so cold, And I would return in the AM. I was informed then that he had been released!! The nurse was getting him in wheel chair. He had to show her the needle n his arm and remind her to remove it !!!!8 HOURS for a 45 minute IV.

Jennifer Thompson

I have always had a positive experience every time I was there.Really short wait times in the ER. The staff is the greatest !!

Windy Turner

The only reason I gave the hospital one star is because that’s the only way I could leave this review within the last 3 months my mother has had awful experiences with this hospital but on yesterday my mother almost lost her life due to unconcerned care my mother was admitted for cardiac consult on Sunday with heart issues was transferred to the wrong floor to begin with when asked the nurse said she didn’t know then finally moved to correct floor cardiologist ordered pacemaker and told we be transferred to another hospital for procedure long story short 3 days later my mom was never offered a bath or a bed change transported to hospital stating that she was ready for procedure despite family plea asking why she was having shortness of breath get to the other hospital and she was in CHF ( congestive heart failure)

John Gomez

Had to go 3 different times because of a heart issue. Every visit went extremely well. Nurses and doctors were fantastic and made sure I was truly cared for.

Dale Cook

I broke my ankle in 2 places and dislocated it. My nurse in the ER, Maggie, was excellent!! She answered all of my questions and made me feel more comfortable. Then I saw the Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer, and she was equally as awesome as Maggie! She also answered all of my questions. I was 2 1/2 hours away from home when my accident happened and knew nothing about your medical center. I would highly recommend your medical center! Thanks again for a pleasant experience during my trying time.

Brittany Buchanan

Would give 0 stars if I could! They are very good at referring because they don't know. A huge waist of time then they send you a huge bill for pretty much just taking your blood pressure!

Rosa Hooks

Some of the doctors at the hospital are horrible. They have no compassion and on top of that they want to say you ar drug seeking. Look at my record!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taylor Mullins

Very courteous and efficient. Minimal wait time. Good experience on every visit.

Stacie R

Friendly staff and got in and out quickly for out patient procedure.

FNAF Gaming

As usual the visit to the ER was horrible. Spent 3 hours in a room in the ER saw the Dr once never came back, never had a diagnosis, never discussed what the xrays said, just the nurse 3 hours later asking if we were ready to go. while still hooked up to a blood pressure cuff. This was my 2nd experience in the ER. First one a couple years ago sat in the hall of the ER, no one ever saw me for kidney stones, never saw a Dr. Never got any pain relief until 6 hours later. I'd rather make the trip to Marietta than go to this ER.

Jamie Miller

The staff at this hospital are wounderful they took really good care of me and ive meet some pretty cool ppl

Deloress Kolton

I had all my paperwork for two tests turned in , had completed a Pre-check in, checked in, was sent to the WRONG location far away on the opposite end of the hospital, eventually that receptionist discovered the error, I walked all the way back, then was met with "Hmmm, I've never heard of that test, but I'll find out where you should have been sent. I waited, watched 4 people be called back over 35 more minutes, I looked at the time and realized I'd been at the hospital for an hour and 45 minutes and NOTHING had been even begun for either test. It was not my doctors fault, nor mine. I left. I will find a different hospital of lab that knows what they are doing and does it properly. My time is just as important as theirs and I expect to be treated such. By the way, I drove two hours to have these tests done.

Janice Black

Very friendly and caring staff.

Bobby D. Gayton

Came to the ER with sepsis and spent 3 and 1/2 days here and my care was excellent. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN AND CARE.

Andrew Chapman

I came to the hospital at 10pm in atrial fibulation the front desk nurse refused to send me back then the nurse left me in a room another hr with out checking my heart and then the charge nurse walked In called me a baby because I told her I wanted to see a doctor. Then she tried to get at my husband after calling me a baby. She called me a 2 year old eveything. This women was crazy all I wanted was a doctor. They didn’t even care about my heart they called me nasty names the whole time. The night shift suck at cartersville. I have a deadly heart condition and what they said and did to me was wrong.

Joseph Cottone

It's a hospital which means you probably aren't the happiest when your there. The staff are friendly and competent.. and has great security in the evenings.

Janis Garrett

The staff are always very professional, yet personal and caring. Love this hospital!

Amber Blevins

Janna in the er was our nurse and she was super amazing. My son had a kidney stone and she made sure that he was more than taken care of. Hospitals need more caring nurses like her. I truly hope she is blessed because she blessed us with her award winning attitude.

Krista Payne

This is about the maternity ward. I have had all 3 of my kids here at this hospital and I and baby are ALWAYS taken amazing care of. All of the nurses are extremely friendly and really care about you and your baby. They are also easy to talk to about concerns and do their best to explain EVERYTHING. I loved all 3 of my birth experiences here and have yet to be disappointed. This is my last baby so I won’t ever be in this ward again so I figured I would let expectant Mother’s know that this hospitals maternity ward is absolutely amazing and highly recommended!

Cody Jones

All they do is try to make their wait times appear short. They pull u back take ur vitals then put you back into the lobby. I hate coming here

colton holt

We have all heard terrible things about this place. But we just had our first born here. The nursing staff takes it up a notch. They are great. Heather in delivery and hannah in post pardon they are amazing I'm so thankful for both. The night nurses were great too. I'm sorry I don't remember your names but I was out of it and trying to sleep every time we met. The nurses here really do go above and beyond. So thankful

Marie Castro

Ive had three surgeries at Cartersville Medical Center. They always treat you with kindness.

Judge Camp Powerlifting

We were put in our room in the Emergency Center at 12:30. It is currently 1:30 and still have not seen any doctors.

B P

Broken toe. In and out in less than an hour. Great staff! Only bad thing is the room we were in needed sweeping.

ELOISE HOUSTON

Came in about 9 am in pain sat all morning no relief ,son upset waiting for 5 hrs. They didn't care about me when I did finally get back ttere sat another 30 minutes no one talked to me all they did was ask a question that was all then said who told you that you have gout I said another hospital staff had said it a couple of months ago . went out another assistance came in asked me what kind of drugs I have none then bought me a pill and left came back with release papers . sorry staff

Brandon Childress

My grandmother was begging the Doctor to stop attempting to get a pick line in her vain, she was in so much pain from him trying to get a line in her vain she urinated on herself. She also pleaded to let her use the restroom before he attempted again and he refused. To make things worse the nurse was horrible towards me when I informed her about what happened. She pretty much stated that she had other issues to tend to. I asked multiple people who I can talk too about this and everyone seemed reluctant to inform me any exact person.

Nelishia Whittemore

From the moment I stepped in, they treated me professionally and with concern. Every test was ran to see what was causing my abdominal pain and an injection for pain was administered. I would go to them again if ever needed.

Joke Adeleke

i delivered my baby boy last year July at catersville and i must say the experience was AMAZING! they took great care of me, my baby and even my mum. definitely going back for my second baby. thank you guys so much.

oluyemisi iwajomo

My name is yemi and i wish to share my experience at CMC. Before my overview, i must say that i found out about CMC at the very last minute when i need to fly into the country to have my baby. As customary, i registered with Harbin clinic and the hospital where my OB/GYN was partnered with was CMC. My first observation was the friendly welcome by the ladies at the reception, they were quite above the middle age but they were warm and received me very well. The payment and registration was smooth without any form of delay. I had regular updates from their administrative section if i needed an information or two. On the day of my scheduled C-section, the nurses were amazing as they received me and ready to get me settled into the procedure. The anesthesiologist (if i got that right) was a professional who did a great job at explaining the entire procedure. My by OB/GYN is David Warren - MD, and he was right on time, and he was mostly able to calm the nerves of the (mum to be). Post baby was superb.... the nurses were available to attend to me and the Baby. Nurse Lorren was just great. she was chatty and asked a lot of questions about my country. the Nurse leader - Michelle was also great. The head Nurse from Harbin Clinic visited to check on Lactation. the Paediatrics visited as well. Need i mention the birth records department. In all, the fairest mode to assess a hospital is not the size, location, accessibility or cost but the experience therein. the people and how you felt during the stay. CMC is a beautiful hospital and if i have another baby, i would be back there again.

kimberly hughett

I hate the Cartersville ER they put me in a nasty room that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time then they tried to put an iv in my arm but couldn't they stuck me 8 times and failed I told them to stop because they were gonna keep sticking me I'm never coming back

Diane Sakmar

My husband's last week was spent at the Cartersville Medical Center, the last two days in ICU. I cannot thank the staff enough for their professional competence and kind, considerate care. Every effort was made to assure that he was comfortable at all times and was never in pain. A special young nurse in ICU was a great comfort to us, like a caring sister to my daughter and a second daughter to me. I truly believe my husband could not have received better care anywhere.

James Johnson

Great nurses and doctors who take pride in their jobs. Thank you for helping me despite my team affiliation. When it comes to life, Saints and Falcons can get along well with each other.

Woke up in the worse pain of my life sunday night.. Had my fiancee call an ambulance it was so bad. And ive had to kids and this is the worse pain ive ever felt. The bad experience started in the ambulance when the lady doing my iv blew my vein. After dealing with a staff that was cold, rude, and unprofessional... They sent me home and said all my test results were normal. Monday i go to a different hospital and they admit me, i have a possible bile leak. And the saw this from the CT scan Cartersville Medical did!

Fred Tucker

toilet in bathroom was too small and too low. I had back surgery and could not bend that low to sit on the toilet seat. A High chair toilet seat was provided, the opening on it was too small to sit on and properly aim my penis to urinate into the toilet properly. So most of the time most of my urine was on the floor, my socks, and my feet. And this caused embarrassment for myself as well as my wife. Not to mention having to get someone to clean the floor, change my socks, and wash my feet. I would have been better off having the high chair sit in the shower because at least there is a drain there. This caused much unnecessary stress on myself and family. The last day I was there a staff member lowered the high chair a couple of inches and the results were much better. This whole issue could have been prevented had there been an adult size oblong and proper height toilet in the bathroom. For the most part the staff was professional and courteous. I believe my room number was 327 but since it has been nearly 3 months since I was there I am not positive.

Ended up in the ER while on a trip to Ga. So, I called to get my medical records sent to my own doctor. Brandy Burchett and I emailed forms back and forth to get my records sent to my doctor. Authorizing forms etc. That was on July 15. Finally get in with my doctor today on August 6th to find, she didn’t bother sending my records. My visit, that I FINALLY got in to see my doctor and try to get medical help, was unsuccessful because she didn’t send my records! My doctor couldn’t help me because he needs those results, of course! Thanks for dropping the ball. Horrible!!

Mary Smith

I was admitted to the ICU after experiencing high blood pressure in the ED. The doctors and nursing staff worked diligently to get my BP down while I was in the ED. They were unable to stabilize my BP so I was taken to ICU to have treatment to prevent me from having a stroke. I was in ICU two days and released. All of the staff was very professional and took very good care of me around the clock. The care I received was excellent from the time I was admitted to ED until I left ICU. I was treated like a family member. I felt comfortable and safe and knew I was receiving quality care. I would definitely use Cartersville Medical again in the future. Thank you all for great care.

Walter Curtis

Everything was easy and timeless. The staff was really great. Gave me a wheel chair both ways. Greeted with a lot of respect.

Judy Eddy

Within the last two months I have taken a 92 yr old close friend to the er twice. The staff was very kind and courteous on both visits. I highly recommend this hospital.

Keon Young

Horrible service ! Came in on Tuesday night by ambulance for dislocated shoulder . I seen the great doctor AJABOR. He was fantastic with making me feel comfortable and putting shoulder back in place. Only reason this post even got one star. He prescribed my hyrocodon and muscle spasm pills. I had to catch a taxi home because of taking a narcotic. I forgot my paperwork for prescription in taxi and it could not be retrieved. I call the hospital back next day to get a copy of paperwork and I was denied it. Was told that my shoulder sling looked “cute” . “How cute” was the exact statement. I told them the story of losing paperwork and I was looked at like a liar , like they were insinuating that I already had prescription filled and was trying to get over and get another one. As a member of military I feel highly DISRESPECTED UNVALUED AND PERPETRATED AS A DRUG DEALER. If you are a person OF COLOR I would NOT recommend going here

Charles Curio

Excellent staff, very caring and thorough. Good quick diagnosis and remedies. I was absolutely taken care promptly. I want thank each and every one of them.

bradley duncan

Great people but they don’t know what they’re doing! The doctor looked at my issue for maybe 2 minutes and then we never saw her again. Basically told me the meds should work. Meds I was already taking. Well they didn’t she didn’t even take the time to look how would she know. What’s sad is I told four different people my new address and guess which one was still on everything? The one for 10 years ago! Get it together cartersville . I would gladly like to talk to someone about this billing too. If you think I’m about to pay a bunch of money for nothing to be done you’re mistaking !

Douglas Davis

Nice staff, Helpful, Friendly and informative.

Susan Clark

Took an hour but all i got was a steroid shot and zpac worse now then I was and have no idea what to do because the doctor came in for 1 minute told me I had saver brocitse take zpac and the over the counter drugs and come back in 5 days then left. glorified first aid could have done all that by my self. Wait I did for 3 weeks what a joke going to Floyd from now on. New ER but same old problems.

Robert Ferguson

My girlfriend and myself sat in the Er for 3 and1/2 and people who showed up after we entered were seen before her. I'm pretty sure people are supposed to be seen as level of trauma or injury. I wouldn't go to this Er if I was u.

Brittney Morgan

This is regarding billing. MAKE SURE THEY COPY YOUR CORRECT INSURANCE INFORMATION AND UPDATED ADDRESS! I went to the ER Aug 2017. I gave them my new address and insurance information (we have blue cross). They sent me my $50 ER bill I paid it and went on about my life. A year later a collections agency calls me and says that my account from Cartersville Medical is with them. After A LOT of digging I find out the ER staff did not pass along my UPDATED information I gave them to the physicians which bill separately.. After 6 months of fighting this and many tears shed. My account with the collections agency has been closed to due timely filing on the hospitals part.. its unfortunate the physicians didn’t get paid because the ER staff couldn’t update my information like they were supposed to. As far as the nurses and physicians, they are AMAZING. I will NOT be back to Cartersville Medical. Be careful when you go into the ER and FOLLOW UP! I also reached out to employees very high up at CMC with no return call. They just don’t care...

Andrea Scott

Took my eight year old son to get stitches and a PA stitched him. A doctor never came in to see us the entire time. My husband who is an EMT saw the stitches the next day and was shocked. The stitches were not placed close enough together so the wound continued to bleed. Of course now that it was time for there removal, it was not fully closed!! Ridiculous! I blame myself in this as well for not asking why a doctor never came in but the administration needs to reevaluate who stitches children!!

Frank Grahek

Very Good

Tisha Chappell

If there is a lot of people there just go to rome or kennesaw. They try to rush you out...plus I wasnt even seen in a room. I was misdiagnosed when I went here. They told me I just had a viral infection and just sleep it off. Woke up the next morning feeling worse. Went to my primary care doctor turns out I had the flu and a sinus infection. Haven't been back since.

christopher mullins

Quick, knowledgeable and comforting, great work for a first time gal bladder scan.

Pat O'Neal

I was admitted July, 12th and discharged the next day. I had a lot of tests but no reason was found for my collapse. I just want to tell everybody that took care of me that I thought they were wonderful....especially Callie on the 3rd floor.

Katie Scott

The employees have all been very nice and helpful, and the hospital is clean and nice, and they even provided recliners that unfold into beds for visitors of the patient...the only problem we have had at all, is receiving meals for my dad that are not diabetic-friendly...they need better communication between the medical staff and the cafeteria, but overall, we are impressed!

Joseph Delatorre

Great Hospital if you're dying or in need of some type of quick surgery they saved my life I'm sure they'll save yours doctors are pretty good great nursing staff food sucks of course what food is nothing when you're getting your life saved they have kind and beautiful nurses that are very smart very smart Dr surgeon and Specialty staff

Felisha Dupree

Ok I give zero stars. This hospital didn't care about my 1 year old son who had come in there. They sent him home!! Two hours later I had taken in to Floyd where he was admitted into the hospital with RSV. He stayed there for over a week. What was y'all doing just going to let my child die?? You doctors and nurses there are no good. You all should pay closer attention to your patients when they come in. Cartersville gives you pain meds and sends you home like that's all everyone comes there for. I should be getting a lawyer because of how y'all treated my son. This hospital is a joke

Kendra Wells

My A/C was leaking water all over the floor. To the point of my bed having to be moved. A nurse did call maintenance as soon as i was put in this room for somebody to come check it. Considering my mother is 78 & a fall would be extremely bad for her & all the rest of my visitors. The request was obviously denied. The a/c would ABSOLUTELY NOT go above 67 degrees. My family that spent the 1st night had to sleep with blankets & coats with their hood pulled over their heads to try & stay warm. Nurse after nurse during the night tried to adjust this extremely cold room to no avail. The next morning the same nurse who called the 1st time said it's time for me to call a name higher on the list because the floor had paper towels all over it soak up all of the water. The joke all night was we put women with menopause in this room. I still can't find the humor in the joke! On Wednesday morning i asked nurse Dawson to help me to the bathroom. She did and closed the door for privacy and NEVER RETURNED. Even after i had pulled the cord twice in a bathroom with no speaker's. I managed to get myself up and to the sink. By this time my machine was beeping about my vitals. Still no one came. I walked out of the bathroom with my walker & stood by the big chair that was holding my room door open. I thought maybe they aren't around to see the monitors so i know they hear this constant beeping. I guess not! I got myself around to the other side of the bed got the nurse button & a PCT came to put me back in bed. This whole ordeal took 17 minutes. When i saw this particular nurse i looked at the time on my phone as it was not the 1st time she had done this. So let's move on to my wonderful late Thursday morning with 1 RN who worked her butt off might i add! There were just to many things going on for her to keep up. They had some type of emergency that delayed my pain medicine by a hour and 15 minutes. They might seem small, but not to a person who has just had back surgery. My right hand had swollen from the IV. This nurse graciously changed it for me got me back in bed. She forgot to give me back my oxygen, call button, and pain medicine button which was hanging on top of the machine that does vitals. The hospital phone was on the dresser in which i could not reach. I laid there as i couldn't get up by myself for over 35 minutes. Finally i stretched to get my cellphone off the food tray & called the actual hospital switchboard asked could they find a nurse on the 3rd floor to come to my room. I was transfered to the nurses station & a PCT arrived immediately. I can't brag enough on EVERY SINGLE PCT that assisted me. They are the REAL MVP's!!!! The bathroom speaker situation need IMMEDIATE ATTENTION! If a patient gets in distress and pulls the cord, but the nurses can only talk to the patient from the speaker on the call button on the bed what is that patient to do? I hope they took their cellphone to the bathroom so they can call 911! 1 of the main reasons i was left standing on my very weak legs for 17 minutes is that both times i pulled the cord they would call to the call button in my bed. When i didn't answer because i couldn't answer it was chalked up to patient must have rolled over on the call button. I couldn't even roll, twist, or bend. If a restroom call button is pushed the staff should have a way to know this patient is calling for help in the bathroom not from their bedside. My PT was phenomenal in his care of me! He takes his job very seriously and can make a unsure and fragile person feel like there's nothing you can't do. He along with my PCT get 100's across the board. Another thing i noticed was all of the RN's and PCT on 1st shift vs the 7pm-7am shift. Dawson is a force of her own. She would not tell Dr. Cha i spiked a temp that night. The PCT told her she needed to tell him. In fact got 3 more when i got home of 101.8. She acted as if she just wanted me gone! Cha said i could leave after physical therapy. I never got therapy Thursday Dawson said i could go as the PT was in the room to start therapy. I was ready to leave!!

I was here December 30, 2016 to deliver my child and had a great 5 star experience, but I had to change my review because I had a not so great experience this time on May 19, 2018. Here is my 5 star review: "The Labor and Delivery nurses were all wonderful. We had our second child here on December 30th. My nurses were Cecelia (not sure if i spelled her name right) and Sarah. And Lauren was also one of my nurses. Everybody in the maternity ward was very helpful and I loved having them apart of our child's birth. While I was getting my epidural done Sarah was very helpful and reminded me to breathe. The lead nurse Cecelia knew what she was doing for sure and she was helpful with breastfeeding as well. Then we were moved to Mother Baby Care where Delana took care of us. She was awesome too. She got us what we needed. I wish I could remember the night nurses name. She was training a young girl and she was very helpful. The air was super dry and causing our child to not be able to breathe well, so she suggested hanging wet towels and it helped. The child was able to sleep after that. It was so good we had to wake the child to nurse her. The only downside to this hospital from my experience with having a child is that the air is really dry. Bring a humidifier for the rooms and you'll be fine." My updated review: May 19, 2018 - I came in at 8:45 pm. It took way too long to have someone admit me into the Labor and Delivery. The admittance lady took forever. Came up on the phone, socialized with other coworkers instead of focusing on checking me in. Full term pregnancy - 3rd baby. Then once I got up to Labor and Delivery they also were super slow about everything. For some reason both nurses failed at getting a sample of my blood to get an epidural. I currently have a bruise on both hands and a bruise on both arms where they attempted to take my blood. I have never had issues before with someone taking my blood. That's not even the annoying part. All the nurses left the room with me fully dilated and effaced and told me not to push. It's impossible not to push when you haven't had an epidural or any drugs. So they left the room and I had another contraction and pushed. He's head was now out. My husband had to go get these nurses to finish delivering this baby. My midwife didn't make it to deliver the baby. But once I was moved over to Mother Baby Care everything got better. I loved Naomi, Autumn, Dana, etc. I wasn't a big fan of Meg (our personalities just clashed). Autumn took great care of me and baby. Naomi was super helpful too.

Janet E Coker

The staff is always very nice and service is fast.

Kathleen Moore

It went well except the PA forgot to do a lactic acid test the doctor asked for. Blood tests were run. I returned to my doctor's office.

Julie Diaz

I had to get blood drawn. The experience was easy, fast and the staff was friendly and helpful.❤️❤️❤️Would not want to go anywhere else.

Kalee Adcock

Tell me why I spent 4 hours in the back of yalls ER only to not to be seen by anyone. And when I used my call light to ask for someone y’all kept saying one second over the duration of 4 hours. That is NEGLECT! This is why yalls hospital it so sucky! Your worried more about a shift change then yalls patients. So yes I got up and walk out, while being in excruciating pain because y’all put me in a room and then ignored me. Y’all ordered no type of test or medicine for the pain or anything in that time of me being there. Yalls facility is absolutely ridiculous and if I could give yalls ER negative stars I would! And as for the 1st nurse that rolled her eyes at me and the guy nurse at the station who kept hanging up on me y’all should be ashamed of yalls self!

Debra Oakes

I have been very blessed for 10 plus years for Dr. Benny Smith and his staff. They have always been here for me no matter what the problem was. The whole practice goes above and beyond to make you feel part of their family, the atmosphere is calming , relaxing, and peaceful, and the choice of the music CHRISTIANITY is something that you do not find very often this day and time. There are not enough words to describe the feeling I get when I walk into those doors, I know I am safe and everything will be alright. Starting with checking in all the way till you see Dr. Smith you can tell they are a blessing from God they truly care and enjoy their job. PATIENT CARE - A+ STAFF - A+ PHLEBOTOMIST - A+ DR - A+ THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Debra Oakes

Payton Clark

Had a terrible experience, not even personal. Observational. Had a family member who was in extreme, excruciating pain in her chest, shoulder, and back. All they did was take vitals and blood work and then she sat for 3 hours in the waiting room. You think heart attack protocol would be kind of high priority and not making a possible heart patient sit there for 3 hours.

Griffin Elrod

I was admitted for 5 days after having to undergo an emergency surgery. The staff is top notch at this facility. From the moment I walked in until I was discharged I was treated with respect by people who cared. Would 100% trust Cartersville Medical again with any needs. Special thanks to the nurses at 3rd floor north tower B!!!

Audra Boggs

Unfortunately we have had to visit the Cartersville Emergency room four times this year. One of those times were followed by an admittance. In each and every case the staff at Cartersville has gone above and beyond to make us comfortable. They attended to my husband quickly and spent a great deal of time with him. We didn't feel rushed at all and they stayed in his room until all of my questions were answered. This last time the resident Dr offered to call me with an update knowing it would be unlikely I would be present when he did his rounds. The nursing staff is so kind its hard for me to put into words the appreciation I have for them. Tonight my husband requested hard candy .When I asked where the gift shop was and his nurse informed me the shop was closed without skipping a beat his head nurse handed me her personal candy for him. I'm not quick to write reviews and if this had been an isolated incident I wouldn't have. Four visits, excellent care each time. Thank you all for what you do everyday!

marion antonio

Everything was very professional except for one problem. I had a neighbor drive me to surgery and wait in the waiting room. After surgery my Doctor took it upon himself to invite my neighbor back to recovery and discuss details of the surgery and to visit with me in an embarrassing situation. Why did the Hospital, Cartersville Medical Center allow this to happen? I told the nurse that my neighbor would not be visiting me after surgery. Why didn’t they follow the rules. Who can I report this to, in order to not have someone else experience the same?

Doug Moore

Four of my family have had superb care here over the years. Five stars to ALL the staff! Low WE wait times, clean hospital, FREE COFFEE during breakfast hours in cafeteria ( Cafe has low prices and high quality! Wow).

Anthony Heaton

The WORST Doctor I have ever had and that’s saying a lot for this SORRY HOSPITAL!!!

Glenda Bailey

With a broken ankle ,I was in a lot of pain. All the staff from ER to xray technician and Doctors and Nurses made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed .Highly recommend Cartersville medical center.

Val B.

My medical emergency was given a high priority by the staff at Cartersville Medical Center. They provided very prompt and effective treatment.

ROBERT MORRIS

Immediately talked to doctor. Vitals taken pain medication given. Registration done. Sitting in waiting room for over 4 hours now. Website said wait time is 24 minutes at 10:30 p.m. and 33 minutes at 3:30 a.m.

Andrew C

I went in by ambulance and my whole left side of my face is swollen from getting jumped and these people did nothing at all to help 1am not busy at all and I was in there suffering for three hours bleeding and so I walked out. I'd rather die then ever go back to this unprofessional place

Erica Slocum

Great customer service, very efficient!

Thorsten Dwelley

Had a baby about 5 days ago was able to stay with him for the first two days but walking through the ER to labor and delivery I have caught the flu which led into bronchitis I have been away from my baby and not able to touch him going on for days this has been the worst experience I've ever had I have delivered a girl there 10 years prior and even then labor and delivery had their own entrance.

Cecil Davis

You know I honestly don’t understand how anybody would even consider this place. My daughter had a baby and they wouldn’t let me in after 8:30 to see her. Every other hospital in Atlanta is very accommodating to the family during a birth. Thankfully

Kelly Mammoth

This hospital and staff are Top Notch. They took care of my Larry and were the Nicest Kindest people. His hospital stay lasted 5 days and from the Emergency room to the 3rd floor we couldn't have been in better hands. Shout out to ALL staff we encountered - you guys are the greatest!! Dr. Simmons, Shayla, Mechelle, Jan, Jennifer, Delbra and EVERYONE ELSE we encountered there were highly competent, reassuring, and had a positive outlook and demeanor that calmed us in a very stressful time. Our daughter that lives in LaGrange was So Impressed with the hospital staff and cleanliness and condition of the hospital that she said she would travel from home to Cartersville Medical Center for any treatment or emergency if she had one (and she works in the medical field down there). I am so happy that we chose to go to CMC. They saved his life, provided Above and Beyond Quality Care, and caused my Larry to feel confident in his future despite the illness facing him. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital and the people that support the patient and their family like they are family too. So many good people to thank. Hugs all around to you guys. I couldn't begin to list them all because we didn't get all of your names but Know that we appreciate you. From room 337.

Robbie Swords

Horrible experience. Suffering with large kidney stone, throwing up in the trash cans because nurses wouldn't give me anything....even a "puke bag". Tried to take my blood and urine tests twice because different nurses kept coming in...no one knew what was going on. Take the drive...to another hospital.

Carol Nix

Patient just had surgery. Had to have test done for heart..sorry not sure name of the test..had to walk a long way..no wheelchair was ordered .. someone coming in for heart related issues does not need to walk that far with no assistance..plus the girl walked way ahead.. you need to improve this..disgraceful

K Saunders

I went here today for the first time and after a chest xray for respiratory symptoms came back showing that I had pneumonia complicated by COPD which I did not know about I got very visibly upset. The doctor and nurse just stared at me no consolation no empathy just a recommendation that I get a primary care physician which I do not have as I am uninsured. They gave me a referral to what turned out to be a dental clinic and just released me. I will get insured as apparently know I will need treatment for a serious illness and long term treatment at that but I will make sure I do not do it there.

Brittney Houston

Ok so I just want to start by saying even though now in 2018 the owner/CEO is not the same person it was 20 some odd years ago when my first BAD experience with "Cartersville Medical Center" hospital acually occurred but I'm starting my very lengthy review with that to prove just how long this hospital has had MAJOR ISSUES in hopes the new CEO gets a chance to read my review and if he means to become the CEO and pour ungodly amounts of money into our local Emergency Department to IMPROVE on the local citizen's experiences as well as their care and well being when it comes their HEALTH.... So in 1997 my mother came to this hospital 3 or 4 different times just for them to do test after test scan after scan to no avail any of the times she came with the complaint of her lower back hurting to the point of her being in tears and unable to walk on her own for them to tell her at the end of each and every visit she had "arthritis" and "she was too young to have any major problems" and sent her home with pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds. First off telling my mother she was too young to have major problems and her being 33 yrs old. is NOT ok with me when there are infants born EVERY DAY with AIDS & CANCER small children dying EVERY DAY with incurable DISEASES & ILLNESSES. Secondly after all those visits of them WASTING her time and money to tell her its arthritis and send her home after all the TESTS & SCANS they done on her, for my Granny (my mom's mom) to take her 1 ONE TIME to the Canton, Ga Hospital or Northside of Cherokee Hospital and them run the same tests and scans and have the ability, knowledge, passion for their job and their patients to tell 8 yr. old self and my family my mother at the young age of 33 yrs old had PANCREATIC/LIVER CANCER.... Not even 9 months to a yr later she died.... Now that, that is said lets flash forward to 2018 where now they have added onto the E.R and still adding and building onto the hpspital for it to become like the big hospitals on Atl. I've stayed my past night in this hospital with my father. In this stay I have noticed the Nurse's are rude and mouthy, they now lock ALL doors that lead outside to the parking lots are locked at a certain time except for the entrace to the E.R, the food thats served to the patients is apparently out of date/rotten meat (they served my dad's dinner and the meat served that afternoon smelled horribly, so much so his nurse commented on the smell said she thought it may be rotten and she removed the tray from the room and brought a different one back in), they no longer have coffee stations for the family of the patients the only one we found was in the cafeteria but guess what they close and lock those doors too at a certain time as well, and the only reason my father was basically kept over night was for observation and the fact the doctor's do not make rounds after a specific time so he had to wait till the next morning for the doctor to return (I'm sure at whatever time that overly paid, very rude, and lack of concern for the well being of any of their patients doctor decided to waltz into the hospital that morning) just to look over the results of his tests/scans and take every but of maybe 5 minutes to diagnose my father. When my father came in they said it was a small stroke to change their mind 30 mins later to IDK lets keep you over night and run some more tests. 3-4 yrs before this instance I had my ankle slammed between a metal box rolling assembly line and a cement pole and went to this same E.R they did x-ray and told me it was NOT broke but also in that same sentence DENIED me the ability to see me x-ray. They also sent my husband home with an extreme absest on his right jaw that swelled down his neck to the point of he could not open his mouth and they sent him home (absests can root to ur brain and kill u as well as shut off ur throat/airways once it gets so big) with NO antibiotics and ONLY Ibuprofen for his pain. His absest was to the point of where it was already stopping him from eating and started affecting his ability to breath.

Charlie Triana

Went for eye infection, hospital very quick to collect insurance information. Sat in waiting room for hours, never saw a doctor. This hospital billed insurance even though I went to a different hospital for treatment. It is unethical and wrong. Its one thing to bill for services rendered but not for sitting in a waiting area. I have notified my insurance company, this is about right and wrong.

Judith Johnson

I went to the emergency room, with pain in my arm on March 30, 2017. I did not know I was having a heart attack and had to have two stents put in my right artery in my heart, which was completely blocked. I would like to say "THANK YOU ! !" to the Doctors, Nurses, and working Staff for the care they gave me during my time there. My family was kept informed of the procedure and the discharge requirements to follow. I found the hospital clean and staff to be nice, friendly, and courteous!

Eddie Gomez

My case was not a life or death situation, but I had severe abdominal pains that caused me to actually cry out loud. When we arrived at the emergency room, no one seemed in any hurry or concerned about my excruciating pain. I had to walk to the small emergency room, because they didn't offer me a wheelchair. Yes, the doctor finally came in and took control of my situation and eventually, after 5 hours, a CT scan, and pain meds, I was able to leave the ER and go home with 3 prescriptions. This was a terrible experience for me and I will reconsider going back to this Emergency Room. As a side note and not really an issue was the color of the uniforms the nurses and staff were wearing - Bright Red. It wasn't a good choice of colors to wear in an emergency room. On a previous visit to the Cartersville Medical Center's emergency room a few years ago, the care was the total opposite. They expedited my care with excellence, compassion and genuine care and that's the reason I went back, but maybe next time I won't go back.

Sam Elliot

Short wait times, bull. Got see by nurse sent back out, then waited, then registration, then long wait . 2 in afternoon on Tuesday. Needs lots of work. People getting paid good money to stand around. How do I get a job here.

Mary Allison

The Nursing and their Care team were awesome

Lori Verdin

I have never before encountered such a fantastic group of caring professionals in a hospital setting. Ever. The ICU staff and many others helped to make what was a horrible situation so much more bearable and comfortable. After 10 days on life support, we lost our teenage son, but Cartersville Medical Center will forever be a place that I would highly recommend to anyone. We could not have asked for anything more, as they not only attended to our son around the clock, but went above and beyond to accommodate our needs as well.

David Morgin

Scam. Stay away. My daughter came for a repeat visit and we were told by the nurse who brought us back that the service needed was not offered on that particular day and that we should just leave and go to the closest urgent care. They didn't even take our temp, we didn't even sit down, but were then charged over one thousand dollars?!?!?!?! For what? I requested an audit and surprise...they came back and said the charges were justified! SCAM!!!

Jade Samaniego

Misdiagnosed my dad. Said he was dehydrated when he actually had Non Hogkins Lymphoma. Luckily, it was caught before he DROPPED dead. The Dr gave him 4 weeks... that's been years ago and he's in remission, we should have sued. Terrible hospital, terrible staff, and terrible reviews. Shut it down.

Darius Kagler

Horrible waited for 9 hours for a x ray and breathing treatment

Sheri Bates

The worst hospital

Jessica Fillmon

Who in the hell send a sepsis patient home because they have no beds??? CARTERSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER because of a patient has no insurance, THEY BE SURE TO THROW THEM OUT WITH A LIFE THREATENING ILLNESS! I'll be sure to be calling every news channel to let them know. Everyone STAY AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS

Candace Miller

I will never visit this facility again, I wouldn't take my dying dog here. This place has horrible medical practices. I went in for X-Rays and serious lacerations. They didn't even give me a bandaid. Told them I was allergic to Penicillin and they gave me a prescription for AMOXICILLIN. WOW. DO NOT GO HERE. I HAVE FILED FORMAL COMPLAINTS WITH THE STATE AND I WILL NOT STOP.

Alysa Nunez

Horrible horrible hospital. At 36 weeks pregnant I couldn’t get to labor and delivery because of construction. I have only had a few nice nurses. The rest are Cold and rude. I had to walk through someone else’s room to use the bathroom. The labor and delivery staff are ran like high school kids getting out of school credit hours. Snotty and rude. I had to leave there and go to kennestone because one of the nurses attitude sucked. If you don’t like working with tired , cranky moms find a new department. Will not be delivering there now.

The lady that took my blood is great

The labor and delivery department is phenomenal! I delivered my first child here last week and had the most amazing experience ever. Every employee that cared for me, my baby and my family while we were there were so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable. They made everything so comfortable and smooth for us during the entire stay. I couldn’t be more thankful for all of the staff and everything they did. On top of that, the food was very good as well! Definitely recommend this hospital for childbirth.

My nurse Wellington is absolutely amazing.

I was hospitalized 3 times over a 3 week period for Thyroid cancer. Every nurse, physician, PCT, lab tech, etc was amazing and friendly. I wish I could remember all of their names and thank them individually. I was a Wellstar employee for many years and thought wonderful things of Wellstar. However, my experience at Cartersville Medical Center was a far better experience than I ever received at any Wellstar facility. Keep up the great work!!!❤️

I was seen promptly and received the very best care. Thanks to all.

Every time I am in the ER I get paired with a nurse by the name of Whitney. This time I came in with my mother who needed immediate medical attention..aka the British Souvenir lol. Whitney is hilarious first of all and secondly very friendly and professional. This time she was assisted by another nurse by the name of Sara who was so very sweet and helpful. I can not say enough about Whitney and although I hope I won't need to visit the ER any time soon, I do hope in the event I do that i am able to have her look after me.

Awesome experience! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Very nice staff but if you have a surgery scheduled for 1:30, we should not still be sitting here waiting for it at three. Others of us have our own jobs to get to.

James Manfull

My second surgery here. I'm a bit biased as I work here but surgery was a breeze and all the staff was outstanding.

The staff was friendly and the class i had to attend was okay. A three and a half hour experience to have to reschedule pre-op because I have a life besides waiting at a hospital when I had an appointment. The good news is that I get to waste another day and my time to go back. I’m not sure I want to have my surgery here. I never had so many issues between 2 prior surgeries, or 8-9 days off of work just for appointments for a simple surgery. Frustrated and may just cancel all of this. I wanted to update my situation. I received a call from a manager and I’m bad with names, but we figured out what went wrong, well her not we. Stuff happens and that’s why I like the review system, because if I didn’t leave a review of truth, it may not have been corrected. The staff quickly found a solution, and I think that’s all anyone can ask for. Mistakes happen; but it shows a lot to me when the issues get resolved. I updated my rating. I’m not having the surgery I need, but that’s another story.

Why Go anywhere else? This Hospital Saved My life and I would take my family in a heart beat. Clean, friendly and very knowledgeable staff . I would trust CMC over going to a Busy CITY hospital where you really are just a Number. The staff and Nurse managers checked on me and my family and even brought me a laptop so I could watch a Football game that wasn't on TV. NOW THAT that shows they really CARE about their patients~ Thanks CMC

All the nurses and employees were terrific! Very impressed.

Went to the ER at Cartersville Medical on the Friday after Christmas. They gave me antibiotics without doing any blood work and I was not even able to walk! I was in the worst pain ever. After seeing a specialist a few days later I was diagnosed with systemic staph infection! They said the blood work tells it all! There are plenty of horror stories out there about Cartersville hospital so beware! Also, was there for 7 and 1/2 hours!

Just had knee surgery on April 1. They took good care of me all way around. Still recovering but getting better

Natalie Smith

I am about tired of this hospital y’all are suppose to take care of people but in this case your not. My grandma was supposed to have surgery today and y’all canceled once again y’all canceled a lot of her previous surgery’s too she is in so much pain and if you don’t fix it, it will get worse, I don’t want to lose her over some dumb medical mistake I really had faith in you guys until that first time y’all let her go home when she needed surgery. I’m not being mean to the company but i Just her to get better and walk again.

While there are some very kind, capable nurses and aids working at this hospital, the doctors and administrators are the worst and, in at least one case, barely literate. (I have a letter written by a DIRECTOR that looks like it was written by a dumb third grader.) Nobody is really sure what's going on at any given time and even the simplest things can take days. It once took us four days to get a prescription for HEART MEDICINE!!! The doctor was out playing golf or some such thing and was too busy to bother with the little people (i.e. his patients!) Avoid this place like the plague.

The emergency room triage immediately saw a possible stroke situation.

I’ve been here for hours on end. And my nurse practitioner prescribed me medicine that I’ll most likely have an allergic reaction to. It’s like she didn’t pay attention to my file at all. I happened to read my paperwork in the parking lot and realize it said “DO NOT take ... if you’re allergic to penicillin.” I came back to have it fixed and now I’m still here in pain waiting even longer. This place is ridiculous.

Wife arrived at 3:30 in extreme pain from denegenrative sciatica. They only offered her a steroid injection & muscle relaxers. Seriously? We are not a bunch of loser, pill-popping meth-heads "shopping" for a quick fix. Wife is in dire need of help and they only offer her a band-aid. If you need emergency help, DO NOT go here.

EazyMoney706

Unsanitary facility. Move into "new room" with blood spatter everywhere. Asked them to clean it and nurse put hand sanitizer down and rubbed with paper towel. didn't even clean for 2 minutes. They asked me my weight but wouldn't weigh me. Laziest staff I've ever seen.

Morgan Hunlen

I was brought in via ambulance after a car wreck and had a short stay in the ER before being sent home. The nurses and doctors were all nice and professional and I don't feel like I had a bad time at all. I'm thankful that this hospital was here.

Jeff Grubb

i was treated very well there after spending 12 days.

Andrew Rome

Thank you for taking such good care of me.
