REVIEWS OF Candler Hospital IN Georgia

St. Joseph Candler is the very best place to take a loved one. Not only are the doctors and nurses extraordinary but also the compassion and care given from every staff member you meet. I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about the ICU - how it’s managed and everyone who works in that area of the hospital.

There are some very good people employed at this hospital and some very bad! The food service for the patients is the worst I have ever seen anywhere, although the food in the cafeteria was quite good and the lack of adequate facility maintenance is evident throughout. I would be happy to Mr. Larson, please provide your email address.

I received great care by Kay Durden RN in the GI center. Her attention, smile, and positive energy made an exceptional first and last impression

Tomeka Davis

My baby was born 4 weeks early and the nurses were simply phenomenal! Great experience...

First of all this hospital is the dirtiest hospital I’ve ever been in, if I didn’t think my daughter needed immediate attention, I would have drove further to find a cleaner hospital. Second off: I’ve been here 3 hours and they just took my daughters blood work, and left her urine sample just sitting on the sink where you wash your hands instead of sending it back to the lab right away! Busy or not, when your dealing with a child that was sent here because another doctor said they thought possible appendicitis’s, the least you can do is get the test run sooner to get the results ASAP! Regardless this disgusting place makes me feel like a bad mom for exposing her to this disgusting facility that clearly isn’t being cleaned on the regular as a hospital should be! Update: when I showed the male nurse the bio hazards in room, he had the nerve to ask me to leave my 10 year old minor child. He then refused to give me the results after waiting so long for them because I didn’t want my daughter to be in the filthy room any longer! I watched a nurse clean the room next to my daughter and all she did was change the sheet, no sanitation whatsoever! The male nurse also had a non legal guardian sign my daughter out and claimed a legal guardian signed her out, when I was the only legal guardian there! I’ll leave the rest to my lawyer to determine that signature and address the biohazards that should have been disposed not in patients sight, especially accessible to a minor! So many laws broken! This place is unreal! The security guard, the guy not the female was amazing. He’s got the most sense in the facility and truly felt bad for the situation after seeing the room and seeing how we were treated.

I wish I could rate a zero I'm so forced to rate one star. Because of this hospital my reputation is ruin! I had allergic reaction that started from my head then all over my body and how they treated me was so poorly I can't even say the rest but I'm thinking about getting attorney to look into it the suffering I had to go through I honestly can say I hate this hospital

My daughter was extremely lethargic and since she is 2 she couldn't properly explain what was wrong and we had been told "It's viral" at Memorial. We arrived at Candler and a Nurse there who is diabetic noticed my child's symptoms indicated that her blood sugar was low and saved her life. After a 3 day stay my daughter was back to normal. We have returned there for her treatment ever since. Thank you Boston!<3

Horrible horrible service my fiancé came in around 4:30p & it is 7:00pm & he had not been evaluated yet by a nurse doesn’t have a bracelet yet & is in extreme pain of the lower right abdomen. It seems as if people doesn’t care if you die anymore waiting, we about to walk out & go to a different hospital seeing people walk in after us get evaluated before us Is terrible. If I could give this hospital no stars I would.

Vicky Hunnings

Very competent, professional services. The entire staff was outstanding. And I can't say enough complimentary things about Dr.. Richards and his staff. Vicky Hunnings Family Nurse Practitioner

Went to the ER on Friday, the 13th, and had exceptional care from the Nurses and Physicians. They greeted me quickly, listened carefully to my health concerns and made sure I was comfortable. As busy as the ER was that night, I was regularly attended to and had every step of the process for my treatment explained to me so I was not left hanging. I did have to stay overnight and the care up on PCU was exceptional too. I have never seen so much hand washing in and out of a room in my life!!! Only complaint was the food. I had green beans served to me along with chicken or beef for all three meals. :-D

I just had our daughter here on 3/5/19. This hospital needs to recognize the wonderful nurses they have. When I came into the hospital I was already 6cm and in a lot of pain. If it wasn’t for the nurses Courtney and then shift change to Amy, I’m not sure what I would of done. Courtney held my hand during contractions I couldn’t take and told me everything would be okay. Amy checked in on me all the time and helped me manage my pain and helped me push. She would distract me with calming stories and make me laugh during labor. Amy truly made the birth of my daughter an experience I’ll never forget because of how wonderful it went. We had to be placed on the peds floor after due to overflow, which was fine, but nurses Megan, Jo, Lilly Ann and many more are beyond wonderful!!!! Please value the nurses you have at this hospital!

Nicole Jacobs

Amazing staff! They all were amazing with my daughter treated her like an VIP. I can tell they really care about everyone that walks in that door. I will drive 40 minutes again to go to this hospital

Cyndi Hawkins

The Emergency Department staff were quick to begin tests needed that resulted in helping me to breathe. They were thorough, professional and knowledgeable all while being compassionate that put me at ease. I am very satisfied and thankful for the excellent care I received!

I don’t even know if a BAD REVIEW will even be posted yet here it goes. I cannot comment on the Hospital itself but I will comment on the Inpatient Rehab...Don’t Ever take your Loved One there even if it’s an Insursnce Issue because that alone might confirm a Death Wish on their part. The staff SUCKS If you don’t have Top Notch Insurance and trust me when I tell you “Cooperate” will gladly tell you that. I experienced more Heartache regarding “Just out of School” idiots with no Compassion for anything but “Gossip”. When they basically killed my Husband, an hour later they told me to get his body out of there because they may not have room in the Mortuary. Heed Warning.

*PLEASE READ THIS* This happened at St. Joseph's Candler on Derenne Avenue in Savannah GA! BEWARE! I was fine this morning when I first woke up and all last night until right about 10:45am, that's when everything happened all at once. I was sitting out front of PetSmart in a chair bawling my eyes out with a bag over my face cause I felt like I was gonna puke and my head between my legs because I felt like I was going to pass out. One minute I was sweating with a cold cloth on my head and the back of my neck and the ladies who were kind enough to sit with me would take it off because then I would get the chills. When my dad showed up to get me it basically took three people to carry me to the car because I couldn't walk. This is what happened to me at the hospital. When we got there I was doubled over in pain and crying and the two nurses continued on with their conversation like my dad and I weren't even standing at the desk. Then they asked what was wrong with me. I couldn't believe it, obviously it's flu like symptoms during a flu crisis. Though I understand the technicality of the question, I was crying uncontrollably and it was nearly impossible for me to try to get words out. I even had a mask on my face. I sat in the waiting room crying for at least twenty minutes, halfway hyperventilating and on the verge of throwing up every second while I had to keep my head as low as possible because I felt like I was going to pass out. The only thing I could keep thinking is the nurses must think I'm faking it due to their nonchalant and uncaring attitude ... because there's "no way" she feels THAT BADLY, she's being a "drama queen!" Before I went into a "room" (a bed, no pillow no blankets, they said they had no cloths to give me a cool rag for my head) they did the pre check in. When I told the nurse my symptoms started at 10:45 she looked at me like I was crazy, checked her watch and sarcastically said, this happened an hour and fifteen minutes ago? The nurses treated me with no compassion whatsoever besides two ladies out of about eight. They acted as if this was no big deal to them when I could barely move, I was hacking so hard at times I could barely breathe, I was literally crying the hardest I've cried curled in a fetal position barely able to move. I asked a nurse if she could go in the bathroom with me and she looked at me as if I was asking her to hold a cup to my vagina while I peed and harshly said I can wheel you to the bathroom and you can go in from there! When the nurse who was releasing me told me I wasn't getting antibiotics I understandably got upset and asked her why. She was very snippy and said because you don't need them, without any other explanation. I asked to talk to the doctor, she cut her eyes and walked out. The doctor and only one other nurse were empathetic. Oh, and they took my wheelchair not once but twice knowing I was in a boot on crutches and running to the bathroom every few minutes because I didn't know what my body was going to do on its own volition. I should've been treated immediately, I was shaking hyperventilating and couldn't stop crying, I couldn't even walk on my own! Shame on this hospital and their team!

To be clear, I visited Candler ER twice this week. Once on Monday, and once on Wednesday. The care and treatment I received monday was good. The wait times were long, but the nurses, front desk, and physician were all very kind, compassionate, and seemed genuinely concerned for my comfort and well being. Unfortunately, I do not remember their names. Wednesday's visit however, was the worst night of my life. I came in wednesday at about 5pm, in a MUCH worse condition than I was in the previous visit. To give you a good idea, I'm a 25 y/o male and like to think I have a decent tolerance for pain. I walked in the ER shaking and in tears because it was so intense. I told the woman at the front desk that I needed to be seen right now, and she said have a seat, we'll be with you shortly. I was in complete panic mode, as I've never experienced anything remotely close to the pain I had at that time. 20 minutes went by, still hadn't been called back to see a nurse/dr. I went to the front desk again and had to reiterate that this was a true emergency, and I needed help. You should have seen the way the 3 people at the front desk looked at me. Complete deer in headlights. Long story short, I waited another 2 hours to finally be taken back to a room. The Doc came in, and said " So uh, why did you come here again? You were just here monday." The entire conversation I had with him was one sided, and everything he said had a very disingenuous undertone. Everyone from the front desk, to the nurses, to the doctor were very rude and inconsiderate for my entire 5 hour visit. The Doc left the room, the nurse came in 1 hour later, and handed me a small cup with some pills to take, gave me my discharge paperwork and said " k have a good night. ". That entire staff should be ashamed of themselves.

My wife has a ongoing medical condition that frequently requires her to be admitted to the hospital. That being said, she will wait weeks for a doctor's appointment before going through this ER. This time, after 2 weeks of internal bleeding, she finally broke down, and went to the Candler ER. We should have just stayed home. This is the 5th hour of my wife sitting. Just sitting in the back in horrible pain. There is an urine same next to me that she filled up 2 hours ago when we were finally admitted to the back area. I have watched nurses laugh and joke while eating at there stations but no one has come to see my wife. No Dr. Now, whomever is reading this from Candler, don't go all hard on the nurses. I'm sure you can put out an email about laughing and joking about horseplay at the station, but fix the problem. Put another Dr. In the ER, do something. My wife, crying begged for a nurse to come via her alert button 10 min before I started writing this post, I told myself I wouldn't post it if anyone came to see us by the time I finished. Well, guess you can figure out how that went.

Laura Sherman

I had a wonderful experience. All the nurses and doctors were amazing.

When I first walked in to the hospital in appearance it look to be pretty clean and kept, however the staff at the desk has no people skills. When you walk up to the desk of a business there should be a greeting like they arr there to help....ots alway extra bodies standing around and noone ever acknowledges that you just walked up everyone's staring but no one says anything and the worst thing you can do is to have all these bodies in place and no one helping but what I realized this just must be common practice at this hospital because I've been to the ER and I had a pulled muscle and could barely breathe and was having a hard time just walking in and no one acknowledged me and there was someone just standing around there also they referred me to a specialist and when I got to the specialist several days later the desk ladies there a real bad attitude like you were bothering them on their job like their job wasn't to serve you this hospital is horrible as far as the front desk staff goes now once you getting a back the staff definitely was great they were on point they were doing the job they were friendly. I would like to say if any Administration is reading this or however you go through your reviews you guys need to get in touch with MUSC the Medical University of South Carolina and find out through their Administration how they do it how their excellent program works because that's how you should feel when you go to the hospital when you go to a hospital you already feeling bad or you already worried about what these tests may bring the desk people have no right to make you feel worse!

there icu nurses are wonderful and there good with the family !!!

I just had laparoscopic surgery here today, and everyone was soooo amazing and so sweet! From Dr. Michael Jackson, to the anesthesiology team, to the nursing team of Jamie, Charity, John, Tara, and Bernard (Bernard was on my team last time over a year ago, and was that sweet that I remembered him right away!)—everyone made me feel so comfortable and safe! The hospital itself is very nice on the inside, with private rooms pre and post-op. This is my third surgery here, and it was great to see familiar faces! Thanks for what you all do! You guys rock!

Dr. Rowlett and Candler Hospital 5N Pediatric staff were GREAT

Recently on a holiday weekend a member of our family got very ill. He was quickly diagnosed. Appropriate referrals were made for surgery. We received excellent care in the ICU. They understood our concerns and addressed them. We were very pleased with the care in ICU . They made a scary time better .

Georgia NOT on my mind

Well ...... y’all sent this to my cell by way of text messaging, noted I definitely didn’t ask you !! It’s a long story and I cringe reliving it all, so I’m not, other than to say it was “ hospital hell “ The vast majority of employees do not give a flying rats colon about you, your pain, your condition... but most fake it. God forbid you’re elderly or have memory issues, or mental health issues!!. I wouldn’t take my cat to Candler to have her nails trimmed. There IS NOT a decent hospital in Savannah, truly pathetic!!! Everyone, regardless of THEIR JOB, is there for the paycheck .

Christian Schonewitz

I just had my baby boy Jan. 6th 2019 here, my my birth experience here was so nice! Everyone was so sweet and so helpful. Doctor and nurses answered any questions i had, super sweet. The nurses are wonderful! I would rate higher then a 5 star for sure.

Went to another Doctor said I didn't have cancer. Went here for a second opinion, found my tumor . Taking good care of me.

Peggy White

Very poor job it should be Unacceptable you could get that help at cirque

The staff in all departments are so attentive and most are so cheerful. We met our AMAZING oncologist here and are currently staying on the 4th floor Oncology. The doctors and nurses are so wonderful. Housekeeping has been doing such a wonderful job and are so pleasant and accommodating. Our nurses have been very attentive, compassionate and very cheerful to be around. They are very passionate about their jobs and we could not have asked for better care for my fiance. I would highly recommend anyone that is dealing with Cancer to come here and The Cancer Center across the street. It's difficult enough dealing with having Cancer and a person with it should feel safe and secure with the Specialists they entrust to help them. These are the people and places that you can trust to get you through those difficult times. We love the people here. Oh and I can't forget the wonderful people who work hard with a great attitude in transport who take you all over the hospital and the lovely and kind men and women who work in food service. There are a few people who work security that are very friendly and helpful but unfortunately there are a couple of them who are very rude to patients and their visitors. It's very uncomfortable. They also have a really compassionate group of men and women who are at the chapel.

Jackie

I couldn’t have had a better ER experience. I would definitely recommend everyone to come to the Candler ER for any emergency needs. From checking in to being discharged was a wonder and positive experience. Thank you to the amazing ER staff!

Paula Smith

At the ER. As usual, amazing staff. Caring and concerned, very kind. Funny thing even my fellow patients are pretty cool.

Stephen Stafford

The staff, doctors, and nurses were very good at taking care of me and my family. I was treated like a family member instead of just a patient. I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone.

There was a nurse right out front making out like a high school kid. Looked like she needed to get a room. What a disgrace. I don't care where you work have pride in yourself. Sad

Elizabeth Santiago

I will definitely be contacting my lawyer for what I can best describe as incredibly heartless and outrageous from this facilty.

Brandi Fisher

Dr. Ambrose was amazing!

Allyson Prescott

Thankful for y'all, went in about 3 weeks ago for lymph nodes that had been swollen for over a month doctor ran blood tests and prescribed me antibiotics week before had gone to memorial with the same issue no blood tests ran given ibuprofen and sent home im a type one diabetic infections for me are serious so thank you

Linda Constantine

The staff was very helpful and very polite. I gave birth at Candler hospital 3 months ago and the doctors did an amazing job, the nurses were there for me to support me, plus the lactation consultants visited me several times to make sure I didn't have problems breastfeeding and to answer my questions. If I have another baby in the future, I will choose the same hospital.

Donna Rawlings

This Hospital is where most of the community goes, for there health care needs

Dale Davis

I,was treated with respect and kindness I,was given, daily exercise I really enjoyed my,stay and my surgery was a success

Steve Pound

My daughter's experience in physical therapy has been excellent. Mary Beth researched my daughter's specific needs and taylored the exercises for her. She has improved much quicker than her doctor expected.

Ciejaria Herring

Had a total of 3 delivers here 2010, 2016 and 2018. First two had major problems here but staff and policy must have changed recently because my last stay 2018 was awesome. Staff was friendly and tended to my needs with a sense of urgency. I would definitely recommend this hospital to any women seeking excellent comfort and care.

Nicole Casino Landings Specialist Realtor

I have had all three of my children here and every experience has been wonderful. The hospital is clean and the staff is friendly. They were very attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this hospital.

Sam Steele

Nurses are earth Angels

Trent Wilson

The staff was excellent. No complaints there. The rooms are too small and there's nowhere to sleep for anyone staying overnight.

Rachel Bates

I recently delivered my first child at Candler and had a very positive experience. The nurses were amazing and very attentive and supportive throughout the delivery and postpartum. They were patient with my husband and I's endless questions and very helpful with caring for our newborn.

The ER doctor was great. But the Nurse, was AWFUL! We got to the ER at 10:30 am. They took my husband in right away. He didn't get his first dose of pain medicine until 4:45 pm. And that was after 15 or so requests, asking several nurses and me finally standing outside the door. One nurse actually told me, sorry that's not my section and refused to help. I asked that same nurse for a new sheet and blanket because he sweat through the ones he had and she refused to get up and said I had to wait for our nurse. Our nurse acted like we were a bother--I did everything for him that I could to avoid bothering them. **When she found out I used to work there her attitude toward myself and my husband changed. All of the sudden she was as sweet as pie. Real nice! On the other hand, the second ER nurse we had was fantastic. We saw her more in 1 hours time then we saw the 1st one all day long. I can't remember her name but we loved her. We finally going into a room at 1:30 am where he spent the next 3 days. The nurses and staff on the floor were fantastic. Everyone was so nice. Whatever questions I had they would find out the answer for me. Dr. Foley was Fantastic! His partner on the other hand (female Dr.) not a fan of her at all. If it wasn't for the one ER nurse, Candler might have gotten 5 stars.

Melissa Parker

I was admitted with a kidney stone and infection in my bloodstream. I had surgery within an hour or so of my admittance. My doctor and surgeon were both friendly, professional, and compassionate with wonderful bedside manners. Nursing staff was caring and attentive. The dietary staff were HORRIBLY rude and dismissive. They refused to give me a menu and just kept bringing me whatever they decided I should have, all the while lying and telling me they would bring a menu back up to me before the next meal.I finally got a menu when I was being discharged four days later. My room was clean and they provided a recliner and a regular chair. Overall not a bad hospital stay.

Completely and utterly dissatisfied with the experience I had at this facility. I was completely shocked at the fact that my respiratory issue was NOT treated as a priority just like any other time I have visited Candler in the past. -- I entered The ER on 3/25/19 at 5:24pm and was registered. At 6:24pm I Entered treatment Room and was walked by and over looked as I struggled to breathe accompanied by heavy wheezing. To my amazement I still haven't recieved treatment. I got a shot of a steroid at 8:08pm.(STILL NO BREATHING TREATMENT GIVEN TO ME) i got x-rays done at 8:15pm and at 8:25pm a nurse came up to me and said she contacted respiratory and she said her phone was off. What???! I didn't receive my breathing treatment until 8:48pm and wasn't discharged until 10pm. I feel like I was overlooked and pushed yo the back burner. I was highly frustrated and saddened at this point. I understand this comes with the territory of visiting emergency rooms but any time I have visited candler with the same issue I have received treatment within MINUTES. I am unhappy with the wait and the service I received.

LaTasha Pounds

We had to go to St. Joseph/Candler because my son had trouble breathing. We were seen right away. Awesome hospital experience and wonderful bedside manner from all staff.

Brian Durden

My family member is having surgery today. The staff in the out patient surgery area just hasn't made us feel welcome. We purchased some food from the waiting room area which was not a good experience. Ladies behind the counter not helpful or friendly. The information desk lady wasn't friendly at all. This information desk lady was crumpy. Just crazy experience today....already feeling nervous due to family having a long 8 hour surgery. I am a pastor and this is not what should happen to patients and their families.

Hilarie Hill

I brought my daughter here for vomiting and dehydration. They took her straight back and started an i.v and got her feeling well. super great nurses and everyone was friendly.

Bella Irizarry

I had the pleasure of meeting amazing and knowledgeable doctors at Candler. The nurse staff was nice and friendly and the meals were well prepared!

Scott M. Larson

Even though it was busy, they got me back in the Emergency Department quickly and the nurses and doctors were awesome!

I couldn’t have had a better ER experience. I would definitely recommend everyone to come to the Candler ER for any emergency needs. From checking in to being discharged was a wonder and positive experience. Thank you to the amazing ER staff!

Crystal Hayes

I am so grateful for the maternity floor. They treated my baby and I very special. I have been there 3 times and each time was treated respectfully and caring. I love Candler

Cobalt Cr

I didn’t even have to sit in the lobby. The triage group pushed hard to get me a room with a private restroom even though I told them it was ok if I didn’t have one. They just wanted me to have convenience. I appreciated the concern. I was hooked up to an IV within less than an hour of arrival. The staff was charming and comforting throughout the ordeal. I’d never seen an ER doc in less than an hour after an arrival to an ER room either. I saw mine about 30 to 40 minutes into the visit. She actually showed up while the nurses were still getting my initial symptoms information. I had four labs, a CT scan and two bags of fluids in 4 hours. I usually spend 8 hours in the ER easily. I appreciate the swiftness of service all the while never feeling shortchanged on service, courtesy or kindness. I treated them like the hardworking people they are and they treated me like a person they hoped they could help feel a little better. It was great for a hospital ER experience.

Brett Jones

Very very Quick Prefessional Staff. In and out with the answers we needed.

Gave birth to my 9lb. 9oz baby girl Dec. 30, 2018 at Telfair Birthplace at Candler Hospital. My birth experience here was awesome! Everyone was polite and so helpful. My Baby spent two weeks in the NICU and the staff was amazing. The Doctors and nurses were exceptional from the time we arrived until the time we both left.

Paola Olivieri

I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you to the team of the ER. Specially to PA-C Sarah Henriquez and the team of nurses. They went above and beyond with my care. I went on Thursday having a miscarriage. They got me in a room as fast as they could and treat me with nothing but respect and empathy. They took the best care and I was attended at all times Again I am deeply grateful for these wonderful people that took care of me and made me feel safe during this difficult time.

Paula Smith

At the ER. As usual, amazing staff. Caring and concerned, very kind. Funny thing even my fellow patients are pretty cool.

The staff, doctors, and nurses were very good at taking care of me and my family. I was treated like a family member instead of just a patient. I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone.

Gretchen Williamson

I will be contacting a lawyer if nothing is done about my problem that I have contacted this hospital about on multiple occasions. Yall have till Friday or I will be contacting a lawyer. Thank you!

Kelly Sullivan

We had such a great experience with the birth of our first child. Labor and Delivery as well as Mommy and Baby floor we’re great! The only thing we did not care for was the ER & the pre-registration process. As a scheduled induction, they make you come through the ER first before going up to L&D. The staff in the ER are not professional & a germy ER is not where a pregnant mom with a lower immunity should be, but that’s just my opinion. Also, at our birthing class, they recommended we pre-register with the hospital. However, when my doctor put my orders in, they created an additional account with a different J number. Essentially I had 2 patient accounts and it delayed my induction for almost 2 plus hours and attached a different OB to my care. Admin seems to be a weakness. All the healthcare professionals ie nurses, doctors, lactation consultants were fantastic.

Melissa Foster

The team at the Center for Digestive Diseases at Candler was great. Very efficient, upbeat - made the experience very easy.

5 Star Hospital. The nurses and doctors take care of their patients like family. The Support System is Phenomenal. I have now had two of my daughters Surgery here, one was emergency Surgery where Candler saved her life and the recent surgery planned. They took very good care of my family. Candler has built a relationship with my family and future generations for years to come. Thank you for Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga for your Beautiful Hospital and Loving Staff ❤️

Christine Young

I had a scheduled surgery here about a year ago. Staff was great. The nurses were wonderful. I was very pleased with my experience.

I just left this place this morning. I made it there around 11PM in pain to the point where my leg was giving out. Upon registering I went straight to triage. The lady in triage and I mean lady because no nurse would check my blood pressure by putting a small cuff on my elbow. I failed to mention that I do have hypertension as well. I left triage where i was then greeted by the registrar who was very rude until her & the officer looked at pictures on his phone. I waited about 20 minutes in the lobby which is to be expected & the nice lady who escorted patients to their rooms was very sincere with her apologies to everyone she assisted. As I sit in my room I can hear nurses gossiping about a lady who said she didn't know she was 25 weeks pregnant. Okay cool I guess if it was for everyone on the floor to hear. My physician came in and told me she would check my ultrasounds because I was just here a couple days ago. About an hour later a nurse came in & gave me a pill and was gone. I asked my nurse to please check my blood pressure & she said she would. Another hour goes by and nothing but nurses cackling and gossipping again. And yet again they were talking about the lady with five kids, two miscarriages and how she knew that she was 25weeks pregnant but saying she had no idea. So about a half-hour I heard silence & by then I was agitated because I had been itching the whole entire time but no one came in but I heard all these stories about patients and surrounding hospitals. I politely got up opened my door to the same triage lady looking at me. As I stood in the doorway she never acknowledged me so I walked clean out the door and waited on my Lyft to a hospital that would care to treat me or acknowledge I was there. All in all I received the worse service in my life for the second time here. I will never go back I recommend Memorial hospital to those who truly want the help they deserve. After 5 hours of nothing but knowing other patients information this hospital needs a total rehire.

Worse service I have ever received. It takes the nurses at least 30 minutes before they come to your room even though you have paged them 2-3 times. The doctors do not discuss your situation with you, they are to busy rushing in and out.

Sylvia Arnsdorff

I had surgery Monday. Everyone was great. All the nurses and techs were caring and very good to me. I would certainly go there if I have any more surgeries.

Ogun Cananoglu

We had our second baby`s delivery at this hospital and it was amazing. Our nurses Kat, Shaine and our doctor Mr. Robinson gave us an incredible treatment from the beginning to the end.

Brittany Bearden

I went on Christmas eve. The staff at front desk are very rude. However I had some of the sweetest nurses although I was not checked on the whole time I was there they got me taking care of. I had to go back in the following wed and still no one checked on me none but I was out pretty quick. I finally had the surgery in outpatient yesterday and the staff and experience over in that department was by far hands down the greatest. Shareen, Amy and Mary were amazing!!!!

Kaitlin Winn

From my prenatal care at Savannah OB/GYN with Dr. Smith to the labor and delivery teams and the postpartum care, I could not have asked for a better experience. The nurses were amazing at keeping us informed and checking in, and their bedside manner was above reproach. Our birth plan went by the wayside as our situation declined, but the staff was especially kind to keep us reassured and aware of our options. My son was born healthy, and safely and we are both home and I am recovering very well. Thank you so much to Crystal, Karen, and LaCameo for the extra love and attention you gave us through our time with you. To anyone considering where to give birth, we highly recommend Telfair Birthplace at Candler Hospital!

The nurses in labor and delivery were exceptional. They made sure our entire hospital stay was smooth and effortless.

I would like to share our recent experience with Candler Hospital while my husband was having Lung Cancer Surgery. We are no strangers to hospital stays nor surgery, as we have had many more than our share. Our Candler experience was on both extremes; our worst and our best! Upon arriving for our surgery at 7:30 am instead of our appointed time of 8:30 am we immediately were registered and given the "clicker" for being called back. We were put into a room to prepare for surgery at 8:45 or so. We understood that we were 2nd for Surgery behind the first patient. We settled in for our wait. We saw no one for hours! No checking on us, no "are you ok?" Nothing. Because my husband had been given a shot to relax him along with his iv, he slept a lot, as I just waited. At approximately 12:30-1:00, when my husband's shot had worn off and he was getting anxious, I opened the door and saw our nurse and asked if there was any update on our schedule and she said that it was just taking longer than expected and our doctor is very thorough. I explained that I was glad he is and I knew that about him. However I was asking just for information, since we haven't received any. Long story short, we waited for 9 hours and were only talked to once and then when the Doctor came I to get us. I, as a previous teacher, flight attendant, business owner and now home stager have been taught that communication is imperative. You just have to let your people know what is going on, what is happening, and what the next step will be! After 9 hours of waiting for the surgery, I waited in the downstairs Day Surgery waiting room for our doctor, as he had asked me to do. It is now about 8:30 pm. There is no one there but me and the maid. He come by to give me our surgery report and says someone will come get me when I can see my husband. I wait.... and wait until I go looking for a person to ask information. There is no one to ask. Eventually I find a staff member looking for me and she sends me upstairs with vague information, that Turned out to be incorrect so that I couldn't find my husband for a long time. Almost in tears, I find someone who took me to ICU and they had been looking for me and wondered why I wasn't there. Again, Communication is Key! Why is there no staff after 5:00 if the hospital is still serving patients and attending families? I have no complaint about lengthy surgeries, or doctors taking all of the time they need for each and every patient, but they must provide help and information to the waiting families to give them the assurance and the direction that they need. This whole experience was the worst I have ever experienced, in 6 hospital stays and 8 surgeries, this was the worst! The best of our experience was two fold! Ou Thorastic Surgeon, Dr Robert Jones is the best! After performing the 9 hour surgery before us, he acted as if he were just starting his day! Fresh as a Daisy comes to mind...he was ready to go with our! We sure blame him in no way for our above complaints! He is the best! The other best was our ICU nurses! John, our p.m. Nurse is the best nurse we have ever had! He is the hardest worker, kindest hearted, most informative and all of this with the most pleasant disposition! He turned the worst day and experience into the best when I saw how he worked with my husband! He is superb and I hope you know that about him and that you acknowledge his excellent service! Wendy was our other "best". She was our AM nurse in ICU and she, like John was superb! These three people turned our worst experience into a best and to them we are thankful! Candler, you should respect your patients families enough to provide them with information, and a caring atmosphere where they can suffer less stress put on them by the lack of information. I hope this gets into the proper hands, because I intend to deliver it until it does. Thanks, Brenda Adams Bluffton, SC

Just visited the ER with my uncle for what might have been a heart attack. Really great care here. The nurses and doctors were all caring and attentive.

My son had a kidney removed at this hospital. My son is disabled and has had over 30 surgeries before in Milwaukee & Atlanta. First, the nursing staff. Most of the nurses were rude, used sarcasm, and talked down to my son. NEVER in my life have we been so consistently disrespected. The one bright star was a nurse who was from Memorial hospital who was doing a contracted shift. She was cheerful, respectful, and a breath of fresh air in our otherwise gloomy stay. Second, the non-medical staff. Housekeeping was actually nice. Each time they came into the room they were pleasant and cheerful. Food service on the other hand, terrible. You have a cafeteria at your hospital. You have menus that patients can order from. Yet, each time my son tried to put in his food order he was dismissed and hung up on by the food service supervisor we were transferred to after complaining about the regular people. The "supervisor" said "I'm on break" and hung up the phone on my son. NEVER in my life in ALL the hospitals we've stayed at between Milwaukee WI and Atlanta GA have we EVER had such an issue getting food that my son would actually eat, OR been hung up on by staff personnel. My son had only said, to this person "I was transferred to you because I'm trying to order my next meal and I keep getting disconnected" That's it. That warranted the nasty "I'm on break" hang up. I had to bring food into the hospital each day for my son to eat. I heard food service outside of our door complaining to the nurses that my son wanted a hamburger and he should just eat what was given (each day they gave 2 choices of food, and didn't allow him to order food from the menu like has happened at all the other hospitals we've stayed at). The doctors. We have since stopped seeing Dr. Andrew Michigan (the son) and will likely never see whoever the doctor on staff was for the day. The staff doctor gave my son DOUBLE his high blood pressure medication which lowered his BP so much he was dizzy and passed out. When I questioned him about it the Dr. said, it was ordered yesterday. Yes, it was - for a SINGLE dose before surgery so they could feel comfortable about his bp - NOT as an ongoing medication. The Dr. made some snarky remarks about knowing better than I did and that they needed to lower his blood pressure, when I retorted not so much that he is dizzy and passes out he left. The next day Dr. Michigan came in to check on my son. During the check up I asked about his BP medication and wanted to make sure it had been adjusted. Dr. Michigan's response was "Yes, I heard you and Dr. Whatever-his-name-is don't like each other." I said, "I don't care if Dr. Whatever doesn't like me, I am here to make sure that my son is appropriately cared for and questioning the medications is part of that process, especially since no one else is going to advocate for him. Has the medication been adjusted?" Dr. Michigan confirmed it had. SERIOUSLY - are we in high school that the doctors & nurses are so disrespectful talking about their patients and who likes who INSTEAD of focusing on patient care? From the admission process to check-out, over and over we were confronted with rude, angry, disrespectful people. The culture that the administration of this hospital has is obviously very poor, because if the employees were well treated, that would trickle down to their patients. We did tell the patient advocate who came to my son's room on day 2 of his 4 day stay. They said they would speak to their supervisor and follow up with us. This never happened. So if you're going to respond for me to call a number to give you more information - I'm not going to. Obviously none of your staff actually care and I'm not into receiving platitudes. This hospital is the WORST experience we've had in 21 years of care. I will NEVER set foot in that place again nor be seen by any of your providers. If you care about your loved ones - you will STAY AWAY from this place. If you can't stay away, never leave their side because you will be the one doing all the care.

Michelle Haas

Like any hospital emergency room this place was extremely slow (understandably). We were there for 8 hours for the doctors to basically take blood, review, and determine nothing was wrong. The staff was fairly nice and accommodating, just never came to check up on us at all, we had to repeatedly go to them to remind them we had been waiting for hours and all that was needed was the IV to be taken out. The absolute worst part was once it was determined she was to be discharged, the nurses did not tell us she could eat or drink (she had been starving dehydrating for 8 hours), did not remove the painful IV, and would not discharge us for nearly 2 hours. We had to speak to 5 different people before they finally got the paperwork together. If you get rushed here for an emergency or need to quickly go to a hospital emergency room, make sure you bring a book.

Fran Mitchell

I had a very positive experience at St. Joseph Candler thanks to Dr. Richards and his competent, caring and professional team. Also, I was well cared for by the floor nursing staff especially Kathy with whom I spent the most time after my surgery. Her care, concern and sunny disposition were most appreciated and helpful. She anticipated what what needed to make you more comfortable. Thanks to everyone and God bless..

rashad roberts

I have been treated with disrespect and rudeness from employee Martha White today,I was deeply interrogated by this woman on who I was here with and she also told me I wasn't allowed to bring electrolytes in the back for my fiancee who needs the hydration because of her constant vomiting.once I told her that was the reason for me bringing a beverage in the treatment area Ms. White continued to give me a hard sigh and rolled her eyes and proceeded to take her access card and violently smack the card verification security verification box to let me in. Martha White has an evil attitude, maybe it can be a race issue, I wouldn't doubt the racism since she showed an unbiased approach.

Jeremiah Mack

It is quite ridiculous that you can only have one visitor. Especially when you came in by ambulance. Not only that you sit someone in the lobby who has been transported by ambulance. I didn’t rush from work in Richmond Hill to be seated in the lobby because y’all want to allow only 1 visitor. This is ridiculous and you guys need to get it together. All y’all are doing is sitting around and talking and laughing while you are supposed to be taking care of your patients.

Jay Freeman

Had a bit of a wait in the waiting room but once I was taken back to be triaged then back to the room they were very quick to take care of me and get me the care I needed.

Laura Bielec

I could not have asked for a better hospital experience. Wonderful attentive care by all staff.

Sha Holmes

This is by far the worst hospital in Savannah Ga. Bad enough the ER is extremely slow. Not to mention when we finally arrived in the back the nurses came and got urine sample which set for hours. And when we finally made it to a room well let’s just say it could have been cleaned oh and get this they don’t change linen everyday unless however you tell them nor do they clean the rooms properly and bathroom. We had to ask to have the linen change on bed. They also forgot to bring breakfast. All I can say is go to Memorial because Candler has turned to garbage.

I have lived near Savannah all my life and my experience with St. Joseph Hospital has always been very good. Have always had the best care from the Dr's and nurses. They are always very professional and polite. I would recommend this hospital over any of the others in Savannah. Have had 3 heart surgeries there and have always been cared for properly. All the Dr.s and nurses have always treated me with respect and are very caring and attentive to my needs. My Dr's have checked in on my daily have come to my room in person to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. I wouldn't go to any other hospital, this is the only one I prefer out of all 3 we have in Savannah.

My wife broke her leg at home took her to the ER they admitted her to the hospital and operated to set her leg. A few day s later they replaced the frame she had on her leg with another and she cut her other leg on that. She laid there for 2 hours bleeding before a nurse rudely told her she shouldn't be moving, and continued to talk to my wife like she was a idiot. A week later I get a call from a nurse about 10:40 at night, she told me I should come down there she was having trouble breathing. I had just work up and I ask her what was going on and she said "Do you want me to call you when it's over" I said no I'm on my way. By the time I got there she was gone. My daughter was with her an hour earlier and said was laughing and joking with my daughter and a little over an hour later she's dead. My wife had health problems but she was neglected as this hospital, talked to like some kind of animal and not given her meds when needed. She had heart problems but she had no monitor on her. A doctor came in to look in her nose and the light did not work so the nurse said use your cell phone, How do you see up a persons nose with you cell phone. If you value you life on your loved ones life stay off the sixth floor.

I brought my brother, who lives in Cordele, to get a MRI. My brother has no job, no insurance, nothing. We were given the appointment. WE WERE TREATED SO KINDLY!!!!! We went to the wrong place, but a courtesy car, driven by the nicest man, took us to the door of the right place. The people in the imaging department were so nice. We were constantly asked if we were cold....offered warm blankets. Everyone was friendly and even though my brother was in pain, we left the hospital campus, feeling so good. What a testament to a caring hospital!!!!!!

Tressar Benjamin

I had the best Nurses before my surgery, Denise and Sheila they were awesome and made my experience a pleasure thanks to them and the best Doctor Surgery team. Dr. Vazquez makes miracles happen. Thanks!

Outpatient surgery & services receptionists need more training & tools to adequately address the concerns of family & friends.

I have never had to go to the hospital. I arrived not knowing I needed emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. The people at the from desk were calm and helpful. The nurses were beyond amazing, they joked with me, were kind to me and very understanding. The doctors knew the condition I was in and were still very calm about it all to prevent me from panicking. They were swift and successful. I want to give credit to the mid day and nightly nurses, the shadowing doctors, and the anesthesiologist who was by my side when my family was miles and miles away. Thank you Candler, you saved my life and made it all such a wonderful experience.

Missy Benford

My grandson was admitted In pediatrics yesterday and from the time we stepped in the door they have been extremely nice, caring and friendly! His first nurse Taria was super nice and explained everything to us and catered to us without hesitation she is the true definition of s great nurse . She was amazing! His nurse JaNrina is super nice and friendly she made us feel comfortable and it shows she loves her job. Both of these ladies were great makes my grandson feel comfortable ❤️Thank you for the amazing experience ❤️

Maria Frasier

My husband and I are new parents, and bringing our little one into this world started off rough all the way from delivery to after his birth. My OBGYN Dr. Jarrell and staff, the Labor and Delivery nurses, Mrs. Angela and staff on the 5th Floor Childrens Place, and Dr. Payne and Dr. McClean have all made the rough road bearable for us. Although scary at times for us as new parents, they went above and beyond to do their best to guide and comfort us. We are ever so appreciative them all!

JOEY BURNSED

Its a shame that people employed by Candler Hospital don't know the difference from out of pocket expenses and coinsurance. After calling two different times to try and explain it I finally gave up and canceled my procedure. Candler Hospital you just lost a forty eight thousand dollar procedure. Really it should be zero stars because that's the amount of money they will get from me

Tracey Sandnes

Great experience, I felt well taken care of and cared for.

Jade Oliver

Wonderful staff!! Made labor and delivery a breeze!! Sweetest and most helpful nurses around!!

Ben Gibbs

My wife delivered our daughter here in Telfair Birthplace. While the Telfair facilities were nice and the staff friendly I can only give this hospital 2 stars. If this was a review of the Telfair Birthplace only I would give them a 5 star. However my daughter had to spend 2 weeks in the NICU at Candler. While to doctors and nurses were great in the NICU the doctors were contracted through another company called Onsite Neonatal. Onsite Neonatal has a nice scam going where they are not in network with any insurance company. Its a scam because legally the insurance companies still have to pay Onsite their in network rates then Onsite can turn around and balance bill to patient/patient's parents whatever they want. In short Onsite Neonatal still gets the same amount of money from the insurance company but then can bill the patient 1000% more then what they would owe if they were truly in network. I would avoid having your baby at Candler for this sole reason.

Fran Schlairet

All of the staff were excellent....I would definitely recommend this hospital to everyone !!

Kimberly Jennings

ER and ICU staff are wonderful careing people.

Lillie Shaw

Was admitted on Saturday evening from the emergency room nurse Emma Freeman is a great example of how you are to be treated with compassion, information, and true example of a true Nurse who enjoys her job and, it shows. Young Lady I truly thank you for making me comfortable in a not so pleasant time. Keeping me informed as to what was going on. Answering my questions and just being just genuine. Thanks to your Parents who did a wonderful job of raising you! And may God bless you in all of your endeavors.

Elmer Martin

Spent most of my stay.in ICU, not because I was in critical condition, but because the surgery I had required constant follow up by the nurses. The nurses were all fantastic even though they had not dealt with the surgery I had previously. When I was able to call the cafeteria the food was decent.

Mark Berry

Great experience across the board with all of the staff at Candler, including ICU, PCU and Rehab...highly recommend!

Jessica Antonette

Horrible, Horrible experience. My vist was neither prompt or professional. I came in 4/12/18 complaining about abdomen and buttock pains. I am 24 weeks pregnant with a history of preterm labor and births, which the front desk was well aware of. Instead of handling the paperwork on the labor and delivery floor while checking me out, they had me wait in the ER department for 2 hours. I continue to complain about the terrible pain I was experiencing only to have it fall on deaf ears. Once I arrived on the labor and delivery floor, I was disregarded by a very callous and rude nurse named Sharon.(Sharon refused to let me speak to a doctor)After being ignored for 3 hours I asked for my discharge papers. I would have never wasted time or resources to be turned around with no treatment. I left just as I came with a dose of ambien.? I am truly terrified of having a c-section at this hospital.

A Blase

The "doctors" and "nurses" here do not know what they are doing! My mother is very sick and came in for her heart problems, but the "doctor" that was "treating" her falsely diagnosed her as bulimic, even when she told them that she wasn't, they didn't listen and didn't care! I am so surprised that nobody has sued them yet!

Cynthia Brown-Barnes

I had such a great experience at Candler hospital. My labor and delievery nurse Emily Brown was amazing. She was reassuring, personable and she connected with me by sharing some personal stories. I loved and appreciated her honesty. She is definitely an asset to the hospital. She went above and beyond anything that she had to do. Dr. Scarborough was the doctor on call and he was great! I was very nervous but he listened and respected the things that I asked of him. He was top notch and helped calm me down and put me at ease. He trusted his instincts and experience. I can not thank him enough. After delivery in the recovery, my nurse Shaine was so sweet and helpful. She made sure we were all set and she comforted me while we had to stay a little longer. She even came down and checked on me and my baby a couple of days later. The fact that she took time out of her busy schedule meant a lot. I really appreciate her going above and beyond! I would highly recommend Candler hospital. I received top notch care from everyone that I encountered.

Kelley Monroe

The ER staff were excellent!

Timothy Freeman

Hands down the best place to be, compassionate nurses, intelligent physicians and I would never even dream of going anywhere else for my health care needs. Thank you so much for all that y’all do!!

Justin Trosper

Had both our kids here. Good medical care, sweet nurses, intelligent doctors. Patient food is terrible tho - and you're lucky if the cafeteria employees ask you what you want to eat for every meal. Better to order in!

Pamela Collins

UPDATE: I would not recommend this hospital. I found out one of the tests done shortly after labor was poorly conducted. If the nurse had done it correctly she would have caught my baby’s heart condition. He literally could have passed away due to this miss. Plus the facility is extremely old and dirty.

Vienna Coughlin

A joke of a hospital. If I could give 0 stars I would. I come from a city where we have several of the best hospitals in the world, where people fly out to receive wonderful treatment. I was met by incompetent hospital staff. Like, my mind is still trying to understand the situation I just went through. I arrived with what I thought was a broken toe. Come to findout its sprained. Okay fine. I had to get taped up. The doctor barely spoke with me. Said he'd give me a post ortho shoe then decided against it. Okay again, fine. You're the doctor. So he asked the nurse to tape my toes and she says, "No way. I dont touch toes" THEN WHY ARE YOU A NURSE?! You'd be put in your place so fast if you worked up in Boston. There's a reason why this hospital's rating isnt good. I work in a Lab and deal with patients daily, never once grossed out. Its called PPE, and common compassion. Your staff should learn it. Then your rating wouldn't suck. Dont talk to me as if I'm dumb either. I comprehend more than you realize and work with all types of patients. I dont understand how some of these people have their jobs. Mind blown.

Lillie Shaw

We have always received the best of care here over the course of many visits.

Whitney Lavallee Lowery

Our son decided he wanted to be born 10 weeks early and we could not have found a better staff and facility. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, janitorial, food service, financing and records department, and med students exceeded expectations (I apologize if I left out any other departments)!!! Everyone was very knowledgeable, honest, and truly had our and our son's best interest in mind. Bed side manner was caring and professional, facility was clean and well stocked and if there were any needs, everyone was prompt and accommodating. Food service staff was super hospitable. Definitely recommend going to candler for any medical needs!

Marsha J.

I was recently hospitalized here...visit was great once I got upstairs to the PCU...My nurses Brian, and Carla in this unit were amazing and very attentive.... I also had one amazing nurse in the ER. By the name Boston she really rocks great attitude and very helpful...

Laura Evans

Staff was great. I had a good experience with gynecological surgery.

Bubba Hagan

My brother has cancer...we were scheduled for a pre registration for out patient surgery... on 8/13/18...we did pre cert paperwork with John from outpatient surgery... He was very rude to my brother because he accidently signed on the relationship line instead of signature line... Honest mistake... But John handled it by sucking his teeth and shooting a scowled look at my brother...my brother should not be treated like that especially in his condition...John...you have ZERO compassion and need to be relocated to the morgue!

James Hon

This is the worse hospital ER I've ever been into. My fiance is sitting in the waiting room 31 weeks pregnant with issues that could cause early labor. She has been in the waiting area more than 3 hours. People are walking in and being called back within 15 minutes. We've watched the lobby clear and refill and yet to hear any word at all about even getting a chance to see a Dr. All they tell us is "I can't tell you how long, it's against policy"

Paula Capps

My grandmother was taken by ambulance to this hospital and the ER did not even have a pillow for her to rest her head on!!! Not to mention they took 5 hrs to admit her (and there were only 3 people in the ER on this particular night!! Step it up Candler....you need to be BETTER than this. We didn't even have a nurse call button THAT WORKED or a tv remote. As much as y'all charged for the time in the ER y'all should be ashamed! Paul.Henchey-you need to fix these issues!!!!! Citizens don't have to choose your hospital...there are other options!

Terry Medley

the nicest nurses i have ever met, they were wonderful, i hated having surgery but i'm glad it was with ya'll.

Mommy & E

Seriously the worst hospital I have been in. Worst nurses and staff. I’m very irritated and displeased. I came here to have my baby and i honestly would have drove to Atlanta to have my baby if I knew I would have to go through all of this. I probably will never come back if it’s in my control.

heather love

I recently gave birth on January 2nd. Although it was my first experience I couldn't have asked for better treatment. All of the nurses were very kind and caring. They all provided me with information and helped to show me how to make my life a little easier with a newborn. They also saw my needs when I didn't like requesting lactation consultants more than once. The lactation consultants are the only reason I can say I continue to breastfeed. The food was delicious and always hot even after sitting for a few if I wasn't quite hungry when it was brought. Anything I asked for it was promptly provided. I would recommend everyone to have a child here.

Latoya Mack

The staff was amazing and would like to think Dr. Richards for making me feel better

Trina Winegar

I went to the ER because I have been having extreme pain in my back. It's been broke twice before & I have extreme osteoporosis. I was afraid that I had broken it again. I had been and still in horrible pain. The Dr came in & looked at my back. She then told me she believed it was just a strain. They took 2 xrays of my back. ( only had me to hold my breath the first time.) When the Dr came back in, I was told my back wasn't broke and I needed to stop lifting heavy things, etc. They had gotten a urine sample from me, which they didn't check it to see if maybe it was my kidneys that was hurting me so bad. Didn't draw blood to see how my blood count was. I had told the Dr that I've had strains with my back before & this hurts worse. Have a hard time doing almost anything. She said, " as I said before, if you'd listen to me, that you strained your back and there's no need to check the other. Whaaat???? I am STILL in misery and can't help but wonder what the problem is. This Dr had a very poor bedside matter. I want to know why I am hurting so bad. Is some genuine help to much to ask for ??? Update: It's been a while now. Haven't heard back from anyone. Still waiting.....and waiting.

Matthew Sweetman

Worst hospital and staff!

Janice young

I love this place talking about love respect kindness is at a all time high everyone I came in contact with was very caring I couldn't believe with tears in my eyes they were treating me like royalty when I only have Medicaid they main concern was to get me better and they did that in a cold world to see the staff even the security guard who ask did I need assistance with a ride home let me know I wouldn't trust my health just to anyone I love this hospital I wouldn't go any way else

Yarely Brookshire

Wonderful service.

kierra cutter

This hospital deserves a 5. If you wanna die go to memorial!! I was hospitalized and my nursing staff was awesome down to the dietary specialist. Thank you to all my nurses Ms. Gloria, Ms. MJ ,Ms. Melissa. My PCT Ms. Ebony. You’ll are great ! Thank you so much ! I was in room 415 not sure of the unit

Lindsay Holloway

Wonderful hospital stay! All the nurses are very nice and made my stay comfortable and very enjoyable.

We brought our daughter into the Candler Emergency Department last night. Everyone we saw, the front desk team, the nurses, radiology, Dr. Moore, Ms. Mona, and even the sweet nurse who brought our release paperwork, everyone - was wonderful. They were calm, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind to our child - no small feat when dealing with an unpredictable 3 year old. One nurse even brought her a Popsicle to help keep her calm while we waited. They were able quickly assess her and make sure she was OK before sending us home. They made what was a potentially frightening visit smooth, calm and easy. We are so thankful for their expertise and kindness! Well done, all of you!

Whitney Norwood

We had a great experience at Candler having our baby girl. From labor & delivery to mother baby and now special care nursery. Everyone has been so caring, compassionate and personable and have made sure that all of our needs are met and our voices have been heard.

I can't imagine why the review is a 3.5. My brother fell ill suddenly, he was quickly diagnosed and treatment started. The condition is rare, but the staff was knowledgeable. When my sister and I arrived after a long trip in the wee hours of the morning, security found us, took us straight to ICU and arranged for us to see our brother and talk to a nurse, easing our minds enough to get a few hours sleep before regular visiting hours. The care he is getting is amazing, and we're kept updated at every turn. Everything I could want in a health care facility.
