Decent hospital, but the security guard I had to deal with was disrespectful. Probably had his dreadlocks on too tight. 5/25/18, 9:40 AM.

When I was taken by ambulance to Lenox Hill Hospital with a blood pressure reading of 180/120, I was fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Aviva Lubin and her team. She is a neurologist who specializes in strokes. After conducting all appropriate tests, lowering my blood pressure to normal, and determining that I had not had a stroke, she gave me the option of going home in less than 24 hours. Dr. Luben and her team are among the best medical professionals I have encountered.

Everything I've heard or imagined about an ER was the opposite of this place. Everyone was friendly, I was admitted quickly, and even the patients seemed happy and attended to. I left in a good mood, and was smiling most of the time I was there. I was there while it was slow, so I'm sure things won't always be this ideal, but they've won me over for the future.

Doctor SAMI SABA was not well-qualified. I didn’t like his process. He needs to improve his proficiency.

jesse eski

I felt safe and cared for the whole time I was there. And they feed you good.

Carmelo Arroyo

The Doctors and THE Nurses are excellent! The Dietician and her staff are the best. I felt well taken care of here.

ARIS Garcia

When I arrived at Lennox Hill Emergency in 2003 my blood sugar was 1075. I was not expected to live and yet they did not give up on me. When My Doctor/Savior would visit, he would proudly call me "The Miracle Man" because it was a miracle that I was still alive! Forty-five days later I went home, healthy, stable and cured from my sugar cravings. Even the food was great as they allowed me to customize my menu my way and to my liking. Lennox Hill is my hospital of choice for Invasive Medical Care.

Lady Gaga's born here. Watch on Google.

I thought they had me confused with a VIP. The care and the attention was over the top. Private room , quiet and attentive. I wanted for nothing. The doctors made sure I was looked after and when it came time for me to go home they went over every little detail. What a class act.

Great place to work

raquel tollinche

I took my mom to the er the staff in the er are excellent from the drs to the nurse they were excellent best pat care ever god bless them you guys all need to get extra pay for your work and dedication

Ana Laura Font Hernández

I was taken care very fast and professionally. My only comment is on the toilet-like smell at the waiting room. They should try to fix that.

Joanna O

The staff are amazing and the facilities are very good. I have been there twice to have babies and the service was even better this time than last. Highly recommend it for deliveries, and if you are willing to pay up for a private room in the maternity ward you can get a really nice room! You'll wait a while at the ER but that's to be expected.

Aleycia Pauley

Another horrible inhumane experience. I've had strep throat for over a week. I've been on amoxicillin 875 MG since and suddenly have regressed in the process of healing and begun to have more frequent headaches, high fevers, swollen tonsils, trouble breathing, with white pus on them and on my uvula, itching, hives, so I decided to go back to the hospital and get things looked at... Only to wait for 2 hours in a hallway they call a room, for a Physician's Assistant to shove their iPhone flashlight down my throat and tell me to go home... Then while this lady was walking away whispered to the other lady next to her "another one faking it. she has no problems" I'm sorry that I do not have a temp of 100 or trouble breathing 2 hours after waiting to be seen that does not mean my problems are not there nor am I faking it. I found that comment and the belittling manner in which she talked to me the worst of all experiences. The only reason why I am giving it a 1 star is because there is no other way for me to write a review. I'll make sure to come back when its too late.

This is for Labor & delivery- 24/7 visiting hours, let husband stay, pro skin to skin after delivery, etc are just some of the things that stood out when choosing this hospital. It was a better experience then I thought in terms of staff and care. I've always been taking to Lenox hill as a kid+ and had 2 surgeries there, though the ER can be bit crazy and forever like most ERs their labor and delivery was different. I went in for scheduled induction but they were full and people in labor kept coming in but staff kept apologizing and keeping me updated so I didn't mind the long wait. The room was decently clean and once checked in and settled I was constantly checked on

Lorena Arce

Great hospital services I love it employees are very nice and the hospital is very clean and organized I am happy with there services

Daniel Fernandez

Friendly nurses and doctors. Do the best they can to keep you satisfied.

Dina F

I had my baby in January of this year and i had the most amazing experience at this hospital i would not want to deliver elsewhere. Amazing hospital

Kishor Kumar Neupane

you will receive outstanding care. you will forever be grateful to you all. The only thing you would fault is that it's hard to get around on your walker or crutches due to the amount of items in your way but this is a design problem, no one to blame.

sebastian tamayo

The ER here used to be one of the best in NYC in my opinion, but they have gradually been decreasing the quality of their service due to the overwhelming amount of patients at certain times. Maybe add more nurses and doctors to mitigate this situation?...

Preya Persaud

my mom was discharged over one month and we cant get the doctor to fill her disability form out, each time we call he's not there we left the form and still the form has not being filled out.... great patient service but we need this form to be filled

Elena G

Had a great experience with ER. My son split his forehead. Was admitted in 5 minutes, seen a doc in 10. Another 30 min and plastic surgeon came. He put stitches in no time. We stay another hour for observation due to possible concussion. My travel insurance got in touch with the hospital directly and I didn't have to do anything. Everyone was so nice! All smiles. The lady offered a food for my son but he wasn't hungry so we declined. But it's a nice if her to ask even though we stayed there not more than 2 hours all together.

Steven Barry

The team of doctors, nurses and support staff made my week stay there the best it could be. My circumstances for being there were not good, but everyone made me very comfortable. Constant attention 24/7. The facilities were 'state of the art'. I wish I didn't have to be in the hospital at all, but Lenox Hill made it okay. And the food was good too.

Santiago Ramirez

My girlfriend went here after getting hit by a car. The receptionist will not make an appointment for her to see the neurologist because apparently they can’t find the files. However, her primary care doctor, who is not even in the same building, has access. Sounds like lazy a receptionist to me.

Yuriy PhanUA

fast and professional emergency service, nothing to complain.

Feng Cheng

My mom was diagnosed with nodule in her lung. However, after CT scans and other cell test, the nodule was not cancer cells. The doctor keep calling her back for other useless checkup. It is very obvious that they want rip off her money. This is unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone go to this hospital.

Troy Barnes

I had my knee surgery here at Lenox Hill Hospital Northwell Health 100 East 77th Street, performed by Dr. Fred Cushner and his entire staff. He is an amazing surgeon, reliable and very caring. He took very good care of me. The hospital environment is very relaxing. Staff, doctors and nurses are very professional and caring. This is an excellent and amazing hospital. I would and have recommended this hospital and my surgeon Dr. Fred Cushner to all my family, friends and colleagues.

Susan Aiken

I'm at Lenox hospital in the emergency with my daughter right now. We are being taking care of in the hallway. New patients went directly to a room. THIS IS BLANDANT RACE DISTRIMINATION. LENOX HILL EMERGENCY STAFF. INCLUDING THE DOCTORS SHOULD BE PUBLICLY PUT ON BLAST. MY DAUGHTER HAS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, SWELLON RIGHT HAND ETC. THIS PLACE GETS A MINUS ZERO...

Darrel Heard

Great Room , Great Service

Nisaa Greenley

The worst hospital I've ever been to. I've been coming to visit a family member for a week now and the room is always HOT! TODAY IT'S 96 OUTSIDE AND IT FEELS LIKE ITS 96 IN THIS ROOM. NO WONDER PATIENTS GET INFECTIONS. Isn't the cold supposed to keep the germs AWAY! SMDH THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UN ACCEPTABLE! Get it together LENOX HILL! NORTH WELL HEALTH! WHY IS THE ONLY AC IN THE HALL! On some days!

keir wynn

Was scheduled for an induction. When i get there they tell me they dont have the time of day to induce me and that i should come back a week later when they 'might' be less busy. Personally i dont see whats the point of scheduling an appointment if youre just going to send me home because its not convenient to you as a department. Im not the one who set the date for the appointment. Very frustrating. So far very terrible experience everytime i came to this hospital for anything. Unfortunately this is the only hospital in my insurance network so i dont really have a choice but to go here.

Jesus Morillo

Today I went to do my CT scan for kidneys.,and ,left me tell you something the RN took care me was super nice and knowledgeable. Waooo I feel so good about the treatment I received thanks you so much

andrew ziccardi

NOTE they charge you $1,800 just to walk in the door, though they don't tell you that beforehand. Then you get the bill and a $167 CO test costs nearly $2,000...

jessie guilfoyle

Hospital is very clean and decent. Staff was wonderful. Had to get a certain thing done and had security and cops with me guarding my door at all times. The entire night I felt protected and nurses were on point. I live nowhere near here but an incident had happened on a city trip gone wrong but I have no complaints. Everyone took great care of me.

Chuck McIntyre

This hospital caused the worst experience of my entire life, and since they have very poor billing practices, it is the gift that keeps on giving. My wife and I went in to the ER during a business trip. We were misdiagnosed, kept in a small room with no people talking to us for 12 hours, transferred to another facility, pushed into being transferred by ambulance despite our protests, eventually transferred in the middle of rush hour, then kept overnight until they finally bothered to get a doctor who was competent enough to know what was going on, at which point it was far too late. We were then billed thousands of dollars for the misdiagnosis, the ambulance transfer, the undesired "room stay" and other nonsense charges. The hospital owners THEN decided to send us to collections after failing to even bother submitting their ridiculous bill to our insurance company or even giving us a bill for services with any explanation at all. Avoid this place at all costs.

May Garcia

Terrible PCA’s in URIS 4th floor!!!!!!!!!!!

l ib

Very professional and high level doctors, especially David Langer, Chair, Department of Neurosurgery. Attentive personal.

Shira Britni Rodriguez

They are so efficient and everyone wasso polite. Glad my doctor recommended I go here for urgent care.

Indrani Seemangal

Horrible experience.. P.C employees were the most welcoming. My adult daughter Who has cerebral palsy was told by her physician to go to the emergency on 11/30,for a blood transfusion due to hemoglobin that was dangerously low.the nurse or doctor who took our info, was loud and cocky...not professional at all..spoke to me instead o my daughter. Inside I helped her onto a bed, after a while she saw Dr.Ghandi, who was absolutely wonderful..explained everything to my daughter, took her time with the examination, told us what will be administered and left. After transfusions and heart monitoring, we were told a bed will be ready..saline was also administered so my daughter needed to urinate every few minutes. She is on the bed,and since she mobilizes in a wheelchair lifting to get a bed pan underneath her was a challenge I requested some disposable diapers, which the P.C said was no longer used in the hospital...I requested the alternative.. P.C came back 2 hrs later to say my daughter was "not qualified " for the Female urinal. This was already Saturday my nerves were shot,no bed was available, another doctor says she will be staying another night for observation...What observation ????I was the only there to observe my child. Luckily her doctor came and we were able to be discharged Saturday night. By the way,she was not given some water. The entire visit and treatment wa a nightmare.. it seemed that very few cared, and didn't bother to understand that the patient has a disability. Nurse Bella was our angel

Lasandra Davis-Howard

I have been trying to get the correct information to fax to Dr. Asaf Harel . The phone system is horrible. I was transferred to the wrong departments. It was very frustrating. Why have a telephone system when no one answers the telephone. Just disgusting! If this service is representative of their medical services - no thank you!

Jeff Tracy

I had major back surgery here on Feb 26th. Even though the recuperation was excruciating and uncomfortable every staff member I came into contact with from check in to discharge a week later was a high quality and stellar experience! You really felt that the team was in sync and incredibly kind and competent. I hope for the entire hospitals successful future when the new modernized facility gets built and with no nonsense neighborhood interference!

I just visited the hospital for a procedure as an outpatient this morning. I had visited some hospitals in Queens for my mother when she got real sick, if I really have to compare, I would recommend anyone, please go to a hospital in Manhattan, like this one Lenox Hill Hospital. My mom broke her back few years ago due to her bone density was real low. I accompanied with her entrance to a Queens hospital. The so call male nurse grab my mom arms and threw her from the stretcher into a emergency room bed, my mom was suffering a unbearable pain. I can’t say all the staffs are good in Lenox Hill, but no one could say they could be ALL good in any places. The majority of the receptionist, security, pc, pa, doctors are likely friendly. A few of them are especially fabulous. Smiles can be found almost every face. They know precisely every step that they are going through, each personnel did introduced themselves before proceeding (that they are suppposed to do). Info been double and triple check before work is done. They made sure the patient could understand what you have to be done. Like what they say, and what I think, the “culture” in here is to make things go best with each one doing their own job. I only spent about 4 hours in the hospital in the morning, I do not know how it look like in pm side. But I can say this no room to compare with the Queens hospital with this top notch institute Lenox Hill.

Cynthia Mateo

Excellent attention, nurses, doctors, staff. Everybody was with a smile and ready to help me. The food was delicious.

Christina Singh

Excellent hospital. My dad love his experience at the hospital and the staff was very helpful

Jacqueline Alessi

The BEST hospital I've ever been to!!!!!!! The care and treatment I received was AMAZING!! Also, I am going to deliver my baby there next week. I feel comfortable and safe knowing I'll be in good hands.

marsha delatour

I was hospitalized for 5 days and I can't begin to express how well the nurses on the 9th floor took such amazing care for me. Everyone on that floor is pleasant, knowledgable, courteous and just made my stay that much better. A nurses job is not easy and I truly take my off to them and appreciate all that they do. To Charge Nurse, Mrs. J, you're staff truly rocks!.

Aria Smith

I was transferred here from the 14th street location for emergency surgery after a hit and run. Everyone from the nurses to the surgeon to the wait staff deserve 5 stars. I stayed in the executive suites which were stunning and the food was amazing.

Vanity Banks

The staff for the young adult are amazing the doctor not sum much he want to give my child seizure on purpose and never have a ever heard of such thing NEVER EVER AGAIN HERE TOO DANGEROUS FOR DISABLED PEOPLE

Shekeithra Foster

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. I WAS BROUGHT TO FASt TRACKS, NEVER EXAMINED THEN BROUGHT TO NORTH SIDE AND FORGOTTEN. MORE THAN 2 HOURS AFTER MY ARRIVAL WITH A PAIN SCALE OF 10, I WAS NEVER EXAMINED. I EXPLAINED TO THE E.R. NURSE AND WAS TOLD ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GET UP AND LEAVE IF I CAN'T WAIT. SO I DID. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INHUMANE. I GUARANTEE NO ONE WILL FOLLOW UP. ALSO A REGISTRATION CLERK RAN OVER MY FOOT WITH HER MACHINE.

Caprijan Webb

3 stars because the hospital was clean, and the service I received wasn’t the best the physician that seen me did a rush job and they took blood work never gave me results after they gave meds they asked for a urine sample (that’s backwards) and the rooms are so small the stuff patients in one area and separate the patients with curtains (no privacy) the registration lady completed my chart with another patient sitting right beside me.

Gerald King

Annie in the Emergency room is what i say an outstanding nurse. Very helpful, kind and most important. She is very concern about her patients. Great job with me.

Tim Newis

Given that we had to visit the ER, I'd have to say that the doctors and staff that attended to us were professional and attentive as you can expect given the broad range of patients and problems they have to attend to. I have no idea how many cases they were working during the 7hrs we were there, and there were times when we thought we'd been forgotten, but someone would eventually put their heads into our cubicle to make sure we were ok. I don't have anything to complain about; it is what it is and the service we received was exactly what I expected.

david morris

LOUSY HOSPITAL EVEN THE EMERGENCY ROOM IS TERRIBLE AFTER MIDNIGHT THEY DO NOT GIVE A DAM !!!! THIS IS A HOSPITAL I WORK FOR THE NEW YORK POST AND I GOT TO TELL YOU AWFUL NURSES WITH BAD DIS POSITONS THE DAY SHIFT IS MAGNIFICENT BUT THE 12 AM TO 8 AM SHIFT IS AWFUL WHEN YOU WANT TO CALL FOR A NURSE ON A REMOTE CONTROL BUTTON NO ONE ANSWER IAM GLAD I AM OUT OF THAT PLACE WHEN I LEFT THE HOSPITAL THIS LADY DID NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR ME AND THE DRIVER WHO WAS PUSHING ME ON THE WHEEL CHAIR LENOX HILL SUCKS. kumarvelayudham

They charge an extra $1000 a night for a private room, and that is for a tiny 8×8. We took one since my wife had a c section. The service on the 4th floor, private rooms really sucks. Everyone seems busy entering stuff into the computer, no idea why. There were some good nurses, but most of them acted as though they were being bothered. Everything was late, be it medicines, be it food, any other service. Never coming back to this hospital.

Jacqueline Watts

Held hostage for 6 hours (and counting) with an IV needle in my arm and waiting on CAT scan results. Was told the doctor is on the way to give me results. I could take the train home to DC and been back in less time.

Ajmal Saghar

I am here for one week. Hospital environment, staff, docs and nurses are very professional. Good hospital for any treatment.

Alison Bowie

So scary...over 3 hour delay in administration of critical medication. And over 24 hours without any form of nutrition. Criminal negligence !!!

Susan Czeladko

Wonderful, nurses are caring ,helpful, knowledgeable, same as doctors ,rooms are not bad size very clean ,friendly staff ,accommodating to patients and family ,friends. For a child visiting family members patients they make it as pleasant ,understandable, nurses, doctors explain to children or child all the in and outs in terms they will be able to understand and not make it frightening. You can have no worries, if a someone you love is here.ICU 8th floor, & step down.Remember there will always be a bad apple in every bunch. More great apples than bad!!!!!

My grandfather was treated here for a stroke . Many of the doctors and nurses were extremely helpful and caring but unfortunately there were others that were not . Nurse Brigetta Williams was absolutely horrible. She had no patience , no compassion and was extremely rude . If you are not happy with your choice of work consider doing something else . It is not fair to the hospital or to the patients . We had a family member there every day supervising my grandfather and helping out with anything that was needed . If anything we made the nurses job easier . Another individual who needs lessons in compassion and decency is the night nurse Manager “Victor “. His personality was the equivalent of A Nazi . His only concern was kicking out family members when they are trying to comfort a loved one in distress . My Overall experience at Lennox hill was decent with the exception of these two individuals . Please don’t let this take away anything from this hospital as there are many employees who do a excellent job here and have wonderful attitudes . My grandfather was released after two weeks of treatment and we felt confident that the hospital did everything they can do to help his condition. God bless .

MAR MARTINEZ

The offer a really good service ...

Ellen Katz

Absolutely wonderful, caring environment to have children.

Lauren G

Surgery great Hospital stay- less than ?? Nursing staff- you ask for something and you have to ask again Use the call button- they don’t come Have a family member stay to advocate for you

Susy Santo

Excellent hospital. I went there for ambulatory surgery and I was very satisfied with the good quality care of nurses and doctors.

Ishaq Luqman Sr.

A reliable and convenient way to map out this terrain. Commendable & Recommended for availability. Navigate OMG Google

Jelena Kashyap

Horrible experience after delivery. Staffing is beyond unprofessional. They allow anyone to come to the recovery rooms at anytime. Security is absolutely horrible. Can’t really get a private room due to the demand. Shared rooms are such a traumatic experience for a mom and a baby. Would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

Heather Malek

Outpatient care incredible . Has foot surgery. Kind warm and attentive to all needs

Elle S

BEING THAT A BLACK MAN RUNS THE ER DEPARTMENT U WULD THINK THAT RACISM WULD’NT BE A THING BUT ITS CLEAR AS DAY IT IS FROM THE ADM SYLVIA TO THE ANM C. TOBIN EVEN TO LUCY WU!!!!! YOUR SKIN COLOR PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN HOW U ARE TREATED THEIR . . . DR. DUROSEAU U BETTER PLAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO UR STAFF OR UR DEPARTMENT WILL FAIL N U WILL BE OUT OF A JOB

Lynn Littau

Lennox Hill Emergency Room SAVED MY LIFE. THEY WERE SO ATTENTIVE, UNBELIEVABLY THE BEST!!!!!!!!! AND THEN THE MAIN HOSPITAL WOULDN'T LET ME LEAVE UNTIL THEY WERE SURE I WASN'T GOING TO DIE AND WAS ALL BETTER. NO TIME LIMITATIONS ON BEDS THERE!

Denise Fowler

From the time I walked in the I found the staff to be most helpful & caring. Had surgery there in August. My Dr. was wonderful & caring and the week I was there the entire staff from the nurses to the kitchen staff that brought my meals were professional and pleasant.

Essie S

I was born here just like Blue Ivy Carter. Five stars. Holla atcha bway.

Eugene Baik

I loved this hospital. Staffs were nice and friendly, also professional :) My wife and I had an excellent time here for our baby.

Xinyi TAN

Very kind staff for my father's surgery @ ambulatory surgery center, Tks to Fides. Merci pour votre patience.

gatsby fitzgerald

Best hopital I have stayed at so far . Had both my kids here . Great attencion and care . Had the same nurse for both labors .

Fuseguy is Cool

The best hospital in New York City. Lenox Hill strives for excellence and professionalism and cares for their patients at their ready.

Chaya Bornfreund

I was extremely happy with the service I received from the hospital personnel, the anesthesiologist, the hospital residence and all the nurses involved in my surgery and my overnight stay in the hospital. There was one grouchy, impatient nurse who came in to assist me once during the night, but thankfully she was not my night nurse who was on duty, she was just assisting the other nurse who was likely busy with another patient. Otherwise, my experience with the hospital was great. Everyone was courteous and professional and I was happy that my surgeon works with this hospital.

Colleen Schmid-Dina

Had a wonderful experience at Lenox Hill. The nurses were beyond exceptional and attentive. Emily was our favorite nurse, she was super sweet and soft spoken-excellent bed side manor. Overall, highly recommend! Our OBGYN was Dr. DiGregorio from 1060 and she is FANTASTIC !!!

Rode Diaz

No one in their right mind should go to this Hospital. I waited for 2 1/2 hours to be seen. A Physician Assistant ask me two questions in the middle of the hallway, they took Xrays and sent me home with after gave me a pill for the pain. I gave them my insurance and they are sending me all kind of bills claiming I did not have any insurance. During that time a guy was screaming all over the emergency that he was waiting for two hours and no one was seen him. Another guy make a fuss because they lost his shirt and security was all over the place for 20 minutes, while the guy was screaming that they stole his shirt. It was madness + the worst medical attention ever + worst timing attention + worst administrative attention. DON'T GO THERE.....FOR ME NEVER AGAIN.

David Dore

Excellent and caring surgical ICU professionals

Christian Rodriguez

Not returning. The sneak you a second copay by mail because the forst in office was for the doctor, and then the mailed bill is a copay for Northwell. On top of that it was the worst care received. 2-3 hours of nonsense and all of 2 minutes with a PA and 15 SECONDS with a doctor who doesn’t care to listen before they send you for tests and scans, recommended you go in their facility. I had runners knee... I just needed a script for PT or a consult and advice from a doctor. I don’t like that their offices are in the hospital and they sneak more payments out of you. Go elsewhere.

Pablo Robles

Small waiting room in the six floor and no room available for new mother and baby since yesterday. Poor diagnosis of patients health during pregnancy. My sister daughter was diagnosed with low level of magnesium after baby delivered yesterday 9.24.2016. This condition should had been diagnosed during the pregnancy, not after the baby birth date.

Oguz Yurttas

Medical care was very good for my wife. Doctors and nurses very nice . I wished they have a chapel for multi faith pray room. I end up shuffling to closest places. Hospital is an old building, I guess NY typical. We came all the way from Dallas for a specialist in this hospital for surgery.

Yusuf G.

I had to wait 6 hours for an x-ray and the hospital that half empty. From 11pm-6am. DO NOT go here at all, ESPECIALLY for emergencies.

Mary Middleton

I heard mixed reviews about Lenox Hill. My Mom has had great out patient care. This is the first time she was ever an inpatient. The ER was quiet and peaceful maybe because she came on a weekend. And, when she got admitted her room was pretty quiet and she got alot of much needed rest. But, when it was time for her to be discharged and transported they made a mistake due to lack of communication and requested a wheelchair ambulette when she can not even really walk. I was a little disgusted because this is the second time that something didn't go according to plan because of miscommunication. The first time the miscommunication occured was when she was not supposed to eat until her procedure was done, and they forgot to take her off the no food list after her procedure was done. As a result she was never given lunch or dinner. Luckily I was with her and was able to get her some outside food. This place is great and strange at the same time. I give them a 3.25 star rating. Update: I reviewed my Parent's hospital discharge notes for the fourth time and realized that the secondary diagnosis was never treated. All they did was change my parent's catheter, but never treated the UTI. Now my Parent may still have a UTI thanks to the hospital's oversight in not treating it in the first place!!! I originally gave 3 star rating. But I am downgrading to 2 stars.

A.J. Henri

This hospital is quite frankly, the best hospital I've ever seen. Everyone that works here are knowledgable, kind, caring, and hardworking. If I ever needed urgent medical care myself, this would be my first choice in NY. Months ago, my dad was checked into the ER here and then had to get emergency surgery to treat a perforated ulcer. He was in extremely bad shape and spent days in the ICU before and after the surgery. He developed a recurrent bleeding ulcer and had to have 2 more high risk surgeries. The doctors told me he was the sickest person in the hospital. Everyone who participated; the nurses, doctors, the attending surgeon, Dr. Valery Dronsky, and all other staff played a part in saving his life. Twice. Even if he wasn't saved, I would've left knowing that they did everything they could.

Nichell Robinson

I have been dizzy and nauseous since last Wednesday. Went to urgi care 3 times and results were the same. Visited Lenox Hill and immediately I received the royal treatment. Everyone was so attentive. Not a fan of MRI, and found out that Lenox has open CT scan. Turns out I had vertigo. The team of doctors and nurses worked with me until I was discharged. This will my new hospital in cases of emergency. Thank you Lenox Hill.

Sarina Fay

absolutely amazing the doctors here and nurses are a blessing they helped me deliver my twin babies beautifully

Shakeel Ahmed

Nice caring

914 NY WAY

Nurse Berely who works the nightshift on the 8th floor was very insensitive to me during my recovery. When I was discharged from the hospital the guy who was sent with a wheelchair to help me tossed me in the lobby like a piece of furniture. As if this was not enough a very insensitive and unprofessional security guard that works in the lobby gave my wife and I attitude and then rolled his eyes to us because we walked through the automated glass door even though there was no sign posted that said do not use. I will never recommend Lennox Hill Hospital to anyone I promise you. If anyone at Lennox Hill cares about what happened to me my name is Richard and I left the hospital on june 7th at about 5 oclock.

ri sh

For all the ones that rate 1 star just a quick question have you ever been in any other hospital in your life. Because I have and I see a lot of difference they will treat you as the best they can or they will send you to a different and bigger hospital. Been there a lot can't write all the visits I came here for..

Melissa Rodriguez

Came to visit my friend who just gave birth, and the heat inside is similar to heat outside. This is unacceptable.

Ad Kara

My wife gave birth at Lenox Hill this August and we had a terrible experience with this hospital. First of all, their information technology systems (IT) are out of date and thus any record keeping is a huge mess. Still getting bills from them even though paid everything in full. Nurses are hit or miss and all depends on a shift. We saw both sides (best and worst) and could not believe how incompetent/unprofessional/irresponsible some of them are. I don't think this hospital is managed well and thus I would avoid it by all means.

CallieDel Boa

Where are the ER doctors? What happened to X-Rays and real diagnosis? I was in an accident while in New York to help my mother who was in the hospital for pneumonia. As fate would have it I had a bad fall, sprained my ankle, not to mention did damage to the herniated discs in my back from an accident where in my home town 500 miles away I was hit by a Mayflower Semi-Truck.. My first trip to ER the person who saw me was very caring and helped me with my pain.

Tom M

Nice enough hospital but wait times are bad. My partner’s ultrasounds always start 40-50m after the appointment time.

Stacy Presser

I WAS ADMITTED TO LENOX HILL (NOT MY CHOICE) FOR THUNDERCLAP HEADACHES, A.RED FLAG SYMPTOM FOR CEREBRAL VASCULAR EVENTS. DR LUBIN, A NEUROLOGIST AND STROKE SPECIALIST, TOLD ME I NEEDED AN MRI, THEN COULDNT MANAGE TO GET ME ON THE SCHEDULE. SHE SENT ME HOME WHERE I COLLAPSED WITHIN THE HOUR AND WAS ADMITTED TO MT SINAI (A REAL HOSPITAL) WITH A BRAIN BLEED. I WOULDNT TRUST LENOX HILL OR DR LUBIN TO TAKE CARE OF MY DOG. LENOX HILL HOSPITAL USED TO HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION. IT'S TURNED INTO A JOKE. THERE ARE SO MANY FINE HOSPITALS TO CHOSE FROM IN NYC. BETH ISRAEL. NYU. NY PRESBYRERIAN.COLUMBIA. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND LENOX HILL ISNT ON IT.

Emergency Room is a complete mess with foot shuffling nurses from exotic ports in the world up against face paced over stressed educated medical team. Not only will you stay in the ER for a very long time, you will be crammed in - military style - or like a deck on any Carnival cruise ship - smelling the person next to you, Our latest visit for a gall bladder attack lasted 12 hours and frankly the medical staff completely forgot about the patient. This is a place to go when you have a bloody nose, need to get off of work, or have a workers comp claim. Not sure I would bank on the hospital portion.

Virginia Benedict

It is a good and immaculately clean hospital if you can afford it. Generally good doctors. However, none practice Functional Medicine.

JOSE ESCANO

This use to be a good hospital with good doctors and nurses, they use to be very nice now they have such a bad attitude. My name is Jose I was there today and they refuse to see me, intend of taking care of me one nurse was checking black Friday deals, nurses were talking to each others and doctors sitting there like patience have no needs. I was there at 6:30 am, nobody was able to see me I decided to go to a different hospital need to change your attitude and be more respectful with patients

R F

Good ER experience

Ghada Proenza

The stuff on the first floor are not friendly and it was mixed between my daughter file with a 12 years old file

Shakira Fernandez

I went to the emergency room, I waited about 10 minutes and was immediately called. Once I was inside, all of the workers addressed me by my name and asked how I was doing whenever they'd pass by. I had to wait a bit for a ultrasound, but nowhere near enough time for me to feel impatient. I spent about 5 hours in there,, went to a different floor, came back down and they still remembered my name!!! I will never forget this hospital and will likely go back

For the ER...escorted a friend to ER and and have nothing to convey but glowing reports. The guard at the front door was so kind and gracious. We needed a wheelchair and he was there for us. Also assisted us upon departure. When we made it upstairs to radiology-the staff could not have been more sensitive and gracious. Even in New York! Kidding. We have been in a couple of emergency rooms and very impressed with Lenox Hill. The elderly woman taking the"intake" was only okay.

Rocket Razon

Great Hospital. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Very Professional and caring. Honestly one of the best hospital experiences and I felt very comfortable! I trust this place!!

Sally Bregman

If I could give it a zero I would. I have had the worst customer service experience at Northwell than any other health service provider. There are plenty other facilities and doctors out there so I advise to save yourself the stress and frustration and use anything besides Northwell Health.

Inessa Borochov

The worst hospital!!! The worst ER The worst surgery department no bad side manners I wish she was not in pain I would have taken her to a different hospital

Richlyn Fraser

This is the best place to give birth , they treat you like a queen

Horrible 7 hrs of waste of time. First the nurse Kristina took my blood and then spill it on my gown and said she will be back to bring me a new one. Never happened. I had to asked someone else an hour later. Doctor don't come and see you till an hour and 1/2 after that. Don't know what's wrong with you so they send you to all this x-rays and ultrasound hopefully they find something to report so they be happy. Nothing , you lost day of work for what for sitting in the emergency room for nothing.

UK Man

Unfortunately, I had to use the Emergency Room last night and from arrival at 3.30am through to discharge at 7.00am, ALL the staff from the guy and cleaner at the entry door through to the lady at Discharge were incredibly helpful, informative and caring. The medical team were excellent and regularly checked on me. The main doctor I dealt with was also entertaining which made a nasty experience more bearable.

Martha Castillo

This is an amazing hospital. Today I have a pleasant experience. I live in Queens but, Lenox Hill hospital is my hospital. If you want to be treared with respect and consideration Lenox is the place. Can't wait to have my surgery.

Gen Laylor -Onyebueke

Great helpful staff. The social workers are warm and caring!!! Would definitely go back!

Robert Ramos

Very nice caring hospital thank you all

Azimullah Rehman

It is one of the best hospitals that have good as well as the experienced doctor. I must say that these doctors are the real experts. It is the perfect hospital that is equipped with all modern facilities.

**Update** someone did eventually contact me regarding this issue. I was asked what would I like to happen to resolve this issue. I told the person over the phone. Make sure the family room is clean proper and get rid of the mice. I also asked if I could have my bag replaced. Then I was asked how old was the bag. I told the individual that the bag was 5 years old. I even emailed a few pictures of the glue trap stuck to my bag. I was then asked if I could take any more pictures

The security guards were the only good thing about my visit there! They are the only friendly people in the hospital. I was at a club and brought in after passing out obviously from being "too drunk" well, no. I had two drinks and nothing to eat all day so my blood sugar dropped so low that I passed out. When I got to the hospital I got a guerney in the hallway, after some time I started coughing uncontrollably. Then I was coughing up blood, after coughing up blood onto the blankets they moved me into a room and asked why I had to spit blood all over the blanket. I only spoke with the doctor maybe once the whole time I was there but next thing you know there's a nurse in there trying to take my blood and someone trying to do a chest x-ray. No one told me anything, I had no idea what was going on. I'm sitting there cold and scared about everything. When I asked to see the doctor, they refused. The nurse brought in a peanut butter and jelly snack for me and told me I have to eat. After I tried to explain that I will not eat that because I do not eat peanut butter and jelly she walks out yelling "she's refusing to eat or let me do anything" After about another hour I asked if I can leave if the doctor won't see me. They said they would get my discharge papers....and guess what? An hour later I still have no papers. I put my shoes on and walked out into the lobby and said have a good night. Just like that. I walked away from the hospital coughing and still feeling light headed.

Amanda Guitteye

Stomach pain... They did abslutely nothing besides treat my hives with Benedryl... Knowing I was driving home... Talk about dangeroud

Diagnosed my daughter with pulmonary hypertension while she was on vacation with my grand-daughters (Heart-lung transplant the only cure). After 2 weeks of worry and tears the QUALFIED doctors at the Baylor College of Medicine, back home in Houston, determined my daughter has acid reflux. DO NOT TRUST THESE IDIOTS! No test (echocardiogram} was performed to accurately diagnose this disease. STAY AWAY! I am forced to give this dump 1 star to post my comment.

Joy Progga

Its 1 of the best hospitals in NYC. Excellent service on ER. I didn't had to wait much to see a doctor. Doctors and nurses are really Good. Tests were done quickly and the thing I liked most is they Care about patients and are always there for any need of patients. It's really opposite of what I read on its review. Great hospital service and the Quickest n Best ER.

My mom was recently "diagnosed" with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) and was referred to Lenox Hill hospital for an ERCP. During the ERCP, stents were placed in her liver. Despite my mom being in frail health, Lenox released her two days after the procedure. Once back at home, my mom began to throw up this brown substance, which my siblings and I suspect was bile. Upon carrying her back to Lenox Hill, we learned that she had developed multiple life threatening infections--including an infection in her bloodstream and an abscess that formed on her liver. Although the doctors were able to address the infection in her bloodstream, the abscess that formed on her liver could not be drained due to its proximity to one of her tumors. Ultimately, because of this highly risky procedure that the doctors performed on her, she developed a life threatening infection, and now no cancer treatment will accept her. In my opinion, the procedure should have never been offered to her due to both the stage and aggressiveness of her cancer. Although she was unable to get a biopsy due to the stage of her cancer, her MRI, CT, and ultrasound all showed a significant amount of tumors on her liver--suggesting that she was in a very advanced stage of cancer. A very important factor that I feel was overlooked in determining the best treatment option to relieve her jaundice. Since developing these infections, my mom has been in excruciating pain and requires heavy sedation just to stay out of pain. At this point, the procedure did way more harm than good to my mom. The infection is now taking over my mom's body and shutting down her organs and she will likely pass. I would definitely advise cancer patients to avoid this hospital at all cost.

Angie Bailey

Worst hospital ever, they racist, and turned me away, cause I had no I'd and info wasn't coming up, especially the ones registering you in the front, be you go to the main. There was one girl she wore glasses and short black hair, Chinese background, very nasty, she shouldn't even be there. So if you not rich, don't go there it's all about the money

Johanna DUBBIEMEL@AOL.COM

I been going to the primary care on 63rd st. For so many years lately the turned around of different NP's says a lot of the management in that clinic also Dr. In charge not pleasant and make everything so difficult for the patients what a shame. Make very impossible for my pharmacist to get my refills because head Dr. Is always out and NP is only there at the clinic 2 days a week .....what a real joke

karl

The doctor does a round and mentions all things that need to happen, then nothing is done. I'mStill waiting for a bandage to be changed 13 hrs later and no sign of anything happening anytime soon. Update: it's now been 25 hrs and still no clue as to when my dressing will be changed. UPDATE: dressing eventually changed by very capable and friendly staff member. Note: all staff were extremely friendly and courteous, it's a shame there was such a breakdown in communication somewhere which resulted In my predicament.

Susana Garcia

I am very grateful to staff, nurses and Dr. Weinberg. They demonstrated professionalism at all times and went out of their way to fit our needs. Thanks to them, our experience was a very good one. Thank You! again for taking the time to analyze and provide your knowledge and experience in this matter. Our family are very grateful for my dad's recovery.

Jeffrey Desrosiers

This is best hospital for any care. The ER is fast. They treat you like a celebrity. I would recommend this hospital. Ive never seen a more caring, personal, and friendly hospital. More persons should come here.

Gwendolyn Burton

This worst hospital I have ever been to I will never ever come back here . They take 1 room and make it 2 got patients and the visitors on top of each other staff is unprofessional (some) . The worst experience ever I made a complaint to the HHC That was ignored. The worst case of unprofessionalism I've ever experienced & I've experienced some bad ones. It's to small & you can't pile people on top of each other the minority they do I notice they don't treat the jews like that they have they own room.

Andrey Kustovs

My wife and I are giving birth here for the second time. Very good medical staff, everything will tell and help. All nurses and doctors of high qualification. If there is an opportunity then I advise giving birth only in this hospital. Thank you very much for your support and help.

I Cummings

The best care I’ve ever experienced as an inpatient at Lenox Hill Hospital. Very Professional, Caring, & Polite❤️

Working on hour 3 for something that is suppose to be 1 hour.

Miami Scene

May this never happened to you- I was trippedby a waiter in a restaurant and ended up in the emergency room. We arrived, ye, there was a room full of unusual people. After 40 minutes I was seen by the first wave: intake number one. Then we progressed to the second intake where eventually, Gandhi came to see me! Smart woman! I felt that was in good hands... staff of the radiology department was delightful accommodating and very sensitive to me. Nurse by the name of Clare assisted me with a leg brace and crutches. Very smart young woman. (NOTE: Never offer broken Knee victim a cane...Crutches or walker only) think we're very lucky to have encountered so many excellent staff members. The Best thing ever is that Lenox Hill gives you a Takeaway sheet which is a summary of what transpired during your visit. Had to call for records - later- and Patricia was the most accommodating and kind.Gold Stars. Kaiser California listen up!

Camila YNC

Very grateful to the nursing staff on the 4th floor! My daughter was born in Feb/12 and it always be an unforgettable experience! Thank you nurses Fran, Kasya, Danielle, Janet and all the staff who provided us with respect and care. Best regards.

Jakir Hussain

Nice and clean Stuffs are very nice also service are great

Sneha Walia

Shana Grover should not be working here. She treats people so poorly. I will never go back to this hospital.

Maria Santiago

They are one of the best hospital in NYC! Excellent Doctors.

Elliot Iocco

The emergency room staff is top-notch. Every single person I interacted with (and there were many) was polite, thorough, courteous, and professional. Many, I felt, went the extra mile. I was extremely pleased with and grateful for the level of care I received. Thank you.

Robert Gunderson

When entering you are 'greeted' by someone not with a 'hello, welcome, what can I help you with' but rather 'where are you going' with a tone of disdain. Apparently 'to an appointment' is not sufficient. After explaining in a non-confidential area to someone who is clearly not a medical profession the reasons I am here I am given a hall pass and allowed to enter. What is the point of this pass? You don't wear it. Is there a roaming security patrol asking to see your pass? It's not like the guy verified I had an appointment so clearly it's not to ensure only patients and those visiting patients are allowed in. Also, the only reason I have the time to write this review is because I've been waiting over 30 minute past my appointment time. Why is it that medical 'professionals', and I use that word loosely, waste people's time so often?

Stephanie L Davis

My ER experience this time around since I had insurance was quite pleasant (unlike the last time when I did not have health insurance and the experience was quite different). Yves was my physician and he was awesome. He listened, he asked questions and he let me ask any question I needed to just to make sure that I was clear and that I felt that I had been heard. I can't say the rest for the staff in the ER, although I will give them a bit of a pass because they were inundated. But my main doctor Yves - excellent. If I could just rate Yves, he would get 5 stars!

denise garcia

My son had surgery done here, I’m very greatful with the pediatric team.Thank you so much to the doctors, nurses Alexandra, hope, Ana, Renee and all the staff.

Nancy Fass

I have been ill for the past few years, of all the hospitals I have been to Lenox Hill was the best hospital I have been to. The staff was wonderful and they also responded with a smile. Great food. Not much waiting in the ER .

daphane gunn

Had surgery today, came out to wake up in recovery. I had a nurse Marie; whom was very sweet, concerned, compassionate, helpful and very friendly. She went off duty for Janice to come aboard. She also was very seeet, concerned, compassionate, helpful and very friendly. As my husband was tired and sleepy from his delayed flight. Janice offered him a lounge chair to relax, knowing we are from florida. I get to my regular room my nurse Manni and assistant Jameel are also so Awesome. A blessing to get Awesome treatment and feel at home.

Shaquanna Pierson

Had my last two babies here, I like it no complaints. 24 hour visiting for new babies and their mom's and nurses were very attentive.

BEST HOSPITAL.

Валерия Рошак

Very good personal, doctors and hospital!

Miriam Marmolejos

I had my two children in this hospital, the first one back in 2002 and since then this has being my hospital for everything. Faster, excellence service and well take care of patients. Dr. Plakogianis and Dr. Spang are the best.

Esther Odiete

Lennox hill hospital saved my LIFE TWICE. The medical team in the EMERGENCY ROOM AND 7TH FLOOR ARE THE BEST. THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS. I thank God that I am still alive and well. Thank God for LENNOX HILL HOSPITAL. THANK GOD.

Kim Handelman

I can honestly say my daughter wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the staff in the ER, the OB floor where I spent a month and then the 3 months my daughter spent in the NCCU. Having spent cumulatively 4 months there, I don't have one bad thing to say!! Cheers to all the staff who helped me, my husband and my beautiful daughter through the toughest time of our lives!

Faina Levitsky

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR LABOR/DELIVERY. The worst possible experience of my life was delivering my son there. My water broke and I was in triage for 11 hours before they started inducing. Then I was being induced for 23 hours before I developed a fever and had to have emergency csection. If I had been admitted upstairs earlier I may not have needed csection and my son would not have needed to be in the NICU for observation due to my fever. The communication between the staff in the nursery is atrocious and frustrating. The discharge took 2 hours longer than anticipated bc they didnt have my paperwork and gave me issues about my pick up even though they screwed up the discharge. The worst was the pediatrician (dr. Nunez) who told me my son was coombs positive and gave instructions for follow up that were completely inaccurate and when I called him and left a messag he never called back. Do not use this hospital!!!!!!

Rilka Spieler

This entire hospital is disorganized and neglectful. They are understaffed and the nurses are incredibly overworked. The few non-nursing staff people we interacted with were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Most people are not in the hospital because they want to be or for happy or good reasons. This support staff needs to be properly trained to deal with people who are going through trauma and suffering. They are woefully ill-prepared to actually be of service to families dealing with difficult medical situations. The doctors tell patients that they’re going to do one thing and then do something else. The rooms are far too small and they stuff too many patients in each room. The food is disgusting and nobody in their right mind would eat any of it. They neglected to ask about the patient’s dietary restrictions but that’s probably because they are unable to accommodate any dietary restrictions. This hospital either needs to be shut down or completely overhauled.

Denise Kapaun

Was brought here to the emergency room. Everyone was professional and proficient! Especially Dr Anderson, and nurses Kim and Gina and and cat scan men Henry and ? and Roua?, who brought me to cat scan

Tom Amico

Emergency room is horrible. Total chaos. Not enough beds. Dirty. And get dufirganuzed. Been to several er on the city and this is the worst.

Niranjan Deshmukh

I am an Orthopedic surgeon from India. I was at Ranawat Orthopaedic Research Foundation, Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, US on a Fellowship in Total Joint Reconstruction (Hip & Knee Replacement Surgery). Dr. Chitranjan S. Ranawat, MD is a legend in Orthopedics who pioneered modern Knee replacement surgery. During my fellowship experience I found out that that he pays as much attention to the patient’s pre & post-surgical care details as he pays to the surgery itself. And he takes that onus on himself. And he is also a passionate teacher. I wholeheartedly recommend him to any arthritis patient for a hip or knee replacement surgery. I think there is no one better than him for these 2 surgeries in the world. And I am thankful to him for the learning opportunity that he gave me.

Jeremy C.

This hospital runs hot and cold. As a patient I have experienced both. Some nurses and doctors are excellent while we pray I never have to see others again. I was yelled at called names by nurses. Heard a particular nasty nurse on the 7th calling a older patient with dimenia the Devil and hoping she dies. I was screamed at by one doctor who then discharged me from the hospital, mind you I couldn't walk or stand with out someone on each side of me. When I and the nice nurse asked his I was supposed to manage on my own at home, the doctor turned and said not her problem I need to leave. I tried to file a compliant against the doctor only never to get calls or emails returned. I highly recommend you look for a better hospital, unless it is an emergency.

pinkphoenix1111

Hated it. God forbid one of your loved ones has a heart problem. Put a plan in place because they will shove you right out the door or threaten you with a hospital bill for cash as I was threatened yesterday by a RUDE uncaring social worker named JAMES. He just wanted to go home. He did not offer me many options for my father. I hope I sue the pants off this place. They kept calling me and calling me and I was traveling from out of state to get him. They also lied. They claimed to have told me the day before that he was going home. We can all take a lie detector test. I will be the one to pass. The only reason I gave 2 stars is he had 2 good 1 to 1 patient sitters. The rest of the heart staff I dealt with were BOGUS. The nurse Amelia was no help. Very short with us and seemed to be in another world. I almost popped a vein myself from the stress they were causing me acting like hellhounds pouncing on me when I was still discussing plans with my family. He also was in because he had heart attacks and was given no after cardiac care and I was told he has no dietary restrictions which is bull! *And I just took away another star because they called me to follow up and did NOTHING about my complaints. They are useless. Avoid this hospital like the plague!!!* 1/11/17- I also filed a complaint with someone named Joyce 2 days ago and she never followed up. I am getting the runaround now. She is dodging my calls and never called back. * And OH PLEASE to the review that says the social workers are good. Some may be , but this one was HORRIBLE and he does NOT know how to treat or speak to people. The dirtbag just wanted to go home.*

ravi Sookdeo

This place is just ridiculous if you are planning on having a procedure done or surgery and have time to plan it, choose a different hospital!!

Ziyoda Khamidova
