If i could give no star i would. So my dad and mom have been here My dad was sedated badically his entire stay. My mom came in for pain so bad it was causing vomiting.in the emergency room they told her "well all we can do is give you medicine for pain" and in tears after injecting her no more than 15 minutes had passed and they told her "we need the bed you have to go" at 2:30AM..... she cried and begged i tried and we ended up leaving come to fine out a tumor the size of a grapefruit was causing pressure between her liver. We went to Univetsity of Miami Hospital and I cannot belive the difference. Do not ever come to this place of you want to live.

Great experience, my mother-in-law stayed on the 3rd floor and received great care after her surgery. The staff was very attentive and caring . Special thanks to Luz, Juan, Isvel and Rafael from the 3rd floor.

Reading these reviews i am terrified! My 90 year old grandmother was just admitted for swelling in her legs. So far i have noticed a couple things i don't like. The nurse aid reuses the plastic wash pans. That's kind of gross. Also the head RN in the day shift not sure of her name is kind of rude. She does not like to be asked any questions. Very stand offish attitude. I don't like the way she speaks to patients. Also the rooms are tiny and uncomfortable. But we'll have to make do until she recovers. I asked one of the nurses what medication he was giving my grandmother and he didn't even know the name. He was new at the hospital it seems. He was being trained by the nurse on duty. I finally found out but it took some questioning. Oh well i hope we don't have any major issues.

The absolute worst hospital on the face of the planet I’ve been NPO for over a day with no plan or idea of what’s going to happen for me. I haven’t even had any sort of communication with any doctor for over a day.I came in for an ectopic pregnancy and was in excruciating pain and didn’t receive any pain meds for hours. This has by far been the worst hospital I’ve ever been to ... never again. I am filing a lawsuit against the hospital, I was discharged prematurely woke up with extreme pain again went to the university of Miami hospital and found out that my Fallopian tube had ruptured and I had to have a emergency surgery and could have died. Your staff is very incompetent.

Sandra Dickman

The worst i have ever experienced. They even gave my daughter the wrong prescription. Thank goodness for the CCS pharmacist,

Geoff Paugam

Absolutely a nightmare to get rest with another person stuck in the room with you. When I first checked in there's a 97 year old man talking too himself all night, alarms on equipment going off left unattended for ten's of minutes...sure the nurses are very nice and pretty but it doesn't make up for the frustion one feels by constantly being disturbed by NOISE. Example it's Sunday morning 1220 am 2 Oct 2016 and I have an entire family yakking away with all the lights on to boot...how inconsiderate is this? My fault for coming here in the 1st place...next time Baptist or South Miami.

This place is very disorganized and slow. The single receptionist they had there at 7:00PM on a Friday was especially lazy and unhelpful. The doctor I had did a great job given the circumstances, but he was openly frustrated by the lack or organization there.

This is my first hospital stay in Miami since I have moved from New York. After suffering for a few days with intestinal pain I decided to do the one thing I dont do, visit hospitals. From the minute I entered Coral Gables Hospital Emergency room intake I knew I made the right choice. The staff up front were very friendly and receptive to my immediate needs. I quickly received medical attention in the ER from CT scans/ X-ray, and blood work. Soon after that it was determined by the examining physician (her name hmmmm) cant remeber, that I was spending a few days for diverticulitis attack. Well thats my story and all is well after a couple of days, back on my feet again..........

Luis Gort

Thanks to all the staff in my surgery, a pleasant place to stay, they were helping me at all the times.Specialy thanks to Dr. Abril surgeon and nurses like juan, wendy, emmy and adrianna nursing assistant...the nice staff at pre-op ...God bless you all

Ron Kreisel

My experience overall was very good. However, nursing care was the absolute best. I have never experienced the quality, courteous, professional, compassionate care of a nurse like Maura Young. She was constantly ahead of my needs, and saw that my comfort and concerns were her first priority. Her assistant Luz was equally caring and helpful. I am very thankful for the care I received. Although I was hardly awake at night, I would be remiss if not also mentioning my night nurse Janet Hunsinger. Janet was also very caring and extremely professional. I also felt very good after my admitting nurse, Jaime explained everything very thoroughly. He is a first class professional as well. Every doctor, nurse, assistant, and surgical team member seem extremely well trained and do their very best to make a patient feel comfortable and safe.

Mara Ruiz

I just had surgery of my back with Dr. Allan Jorge the best and all his staff I wanted to say Thank you to all the third floor staff the nurses and asst nurses that took care of me so professional caring and loving personal and professional and all Nurse Management specially Ann and Nurse Director Jonathan I was so well treated and taken careoff Thank you

Mayuly Sabellico

Excellent care. My mother was admitted with a fractured hip. She was there for 6 days. From the initial admission thru the emergency room, the consult with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Fernandez, and the care of the staff nurse/director, multiple nurses, nurses aid, both on the 4th floor and at the OR, the attention and the care was excellent. They were foremost professionals. They attended to her every need and found the time to answer all my questions despite their hectic full schedule. I am forever grateful to this hospital and its staff. Their care, and guidance made a devastating ordeal bearable.

Claudia Martinez

Great Service!! Dr Villoch and Reyna took great care of my mother in law. Every nurse and nurse Assistant in the 2nd Floor were super attentive. Specially Yoel, Lisbetzy, Lopez and Wendy.

Shea Siverthorn

I went into the ER for what turned out to be a spider bite. The attending Dr walks in looks at my arm and tells me it's a flesh eating bacteria and my arm would possibly have to come off !!! Staff is terrible food just as bad . If I ever get shot and I'm outside this hospital I'd call an ambulance to take me to South Miami and I'm not kidding

Hillary Hernandez

The staff looks like they dont want to cure the patient, even if they are seeing that the patient is cruying ans cant move or even sit down, they were saying that he didn't have any pain and he could move. Especially the 2nd floor.

Edwin Torres

They treated me with a lot love and respect i recommend them very high god bless all of them

(Translated by Google) When I arrived at the hospital I felt predisposed by the comments I had read. I was going for the first time. Being there I realized the opposite to what I read. All the staff is very kind, friendly, affectionate and very professional. They make you feel confident and secure. You get a smile from the cleaning people, security, nurses and doctors. In short, my stay despite my surgery was very pleasant. I recommend it and many times for a trifle there are people who write nonsense because they think they are in a hotel and not a hospital. Thanks Coral Gable Hospital. Gracias Coral Gable Hospital. Mis recomendaciones.

The hospital staff was kind but in a mos insincere Manor the parking garage attendant was one of the rudest people I've ever met. I truly felt discrimination due to my handicap.

Luis Rodriguez

Had a spinal surgery done here and before coming I was a little skeptical due to the reviews here but now that I'm leaving all I have are good things to say. The doctor (Dr Allan Jorge), nurses, nurse assistants etc have all been extremely nice and caring. Extremely happy with the human attention.

Sandra B Caceres

Worst Hospital ever!!! The nurses and doctors don't care about the patients, nasty hospital. Shame of hospital. My husband was there about one week and two days he has to share the room with a person with a mental disorder, who did his necessities in his bed and the odor was intolerable, but the worsts was that the personnel doesn't care about it. I had to go floor by floor looking for a supervisor or someone who can help us.

I've probably used over dozen hosp. in my life, so I guess I'm an authority. Ha. Well, I agree with several reviews that criticized the nursing staff. The aids especially need to be a little more energetic. The lady who complained about too much English........WHAT? Has So Florida ceased to be America? How can the country function when everyone has to speak two languages? My main complaint was going to be the reverse. I had a very difficult time communicating with anyone. Often on the 3rd or 4th try. The English spoken there is very, very broken. Now, the flip side. Registration, particularly Kevin ( I think), was fabulous. I accidentally left my wallet in the taxi, so I had to register with NOTHING. I.D.s, Credit cards, ins cards, etc. They admitted me anyway, and performed my surgery. Also, helped me call and cancel my credit cards, PLUS, located my wallet that had been returned to my hotel. This alone, caused my stay to be a good one.

Clarissa Carbo

Very disappointed. Could not reach the nurse or supervisor on the weekend. Their excuse was that it was the weekend. They discharged my 80 yo dad and left him outside the hospital without anyone there to pick him up.

ana alvarado

Number 1 hospital in south Florida. Excellent care. Nice staff, Doctors and nurses...

Best hospital in Miami-Dade County!

That all hospitals share room, that's normal now, but in the room in front of mine the lights went off and they didn't have replacement for them, or could move the patient to another room, at the end the family took her home under their own responsability. The senior sharing the room I visited was complaining because the night before he creamed his pants and no one changed him till various complaints. If u don't love ur work or ur pay then go ahead and quit, I can only think of seniors that got nobody. Make sure ur CNAs do better than that please.

I recently had physical therapy at Coral Gables Hospital after a back surgery. I was very impressed with the care that I received while I was there. My therapist, Alexis Ruiz, was excellent. Since I had just had surgery and was in pain, I was apprehensive about starting therapy. Alexis was patient with me and thoroughly explained everything to me so I was more at ease. I was also treated by Benjamin and Turkan when Alexis was out, and they were very good as well. I am happy I chose Coral Gables for my therapy. I am 100% better and would highly recommend this therapy department.

This was by far the worst hospital experience I've ever had and believe me I have been sick A LOT therefore this would be like my 100th experience. It is HORRIBLE. First, we get there and there is one person in front of us, then we ask to register and the woman (employee) in the front had a very nasty attitude. You can tell that she was not in the mood to work or deal with people. Then she asks me to leave the form and ID. I go and I sit down after 40 minutes I ask if she is done with the ID she tells me the ugliest attitude that she is not and she will hand it to me after she registers her. Then at 1 hour past arrival I ask her listen, is this going to take much longer, I know that an ER generally takes long but this lady was taking her sweet time by this time she has 4 patients in line. Then, she proceeds to tell me again with an attitude that ma'am there's nothing I can do. I go okay, but if this is going to be another hour I'll drive down to another hospital. And she goes well ma'am do whatever you please. I am highly upset now and I tell her well, can I at least have the ID back ( to put it away ) and I sit down she then tells me "The fact that you took the ID does that mean you're leaving?" Mind you she tells me this shouting across the ER and there I blew up. I asked " How much longer do you need to register someone?" and she goes " I need your ID to scan you in" there I lost it and my mother who this whole time hasn't been able to speak or walk of the pain tells her I'm sorry but I've been here before on two (2) separate occasions and the other lady has never had to keep an ID for over an hour and have never had to wait this long to be registered. Honestly, I don't know about the staff but this one employee has literally made my mind up about this place. I will be doing my nursing rotations here in November and I am seriously thinking of changing the rotation site. By the way it was 10/06/2015 at 7pm.

February 17, 2015...my mother had surgery in this "hospital" and after surgery the surgeon/doctor recommended her to remain for observation. ok, sounds good decision to me. but, the worst part of the beginning of the nightmare started that same day. the problem i dont understand why this hospital is obsessed about hiring and employing low quality nursing staff: since my mother arrived she was treated like she was an animal in a lab... nurses were rude with her, anytime they wanted to draw blood of her ( daily, twice ) they hurt her tremendously to the point that she was refusing more blood drawing ...many instances a male nurse got angry at her for complaining too much.. the first night of her stay a nurse brought a bag with IV liquid ..she simply left it hang it there next to her and left. one hour passed and my mother was asking if anyone is going to inject the IV to her since the doctor asked for it..all the nursing staff got very angry at her just for asking for help ( by the way, she was liming from surgery and had to walk to front desk where nurses gather to gossip on the floor to ask for help ) ...the nurse came to her room and very angrily she installed the IV in her arm.. the food sucks big time, the cleanliness of the bathroom sucked. when i visited my mother, patients from her room and other rooms were complaining to me about the horrible treatment they receive from nurses and even doctors. people..if you can avoid it..please, please..i am begging you..i prefer you stay home dont go to this " torture chamber " that is known as coral gables "hospital"...

I have never been treated so poorly. When I arrived I was quickly triaged and moved to a room, I got there at 10:30pm and I was not seen until 2am that I got upset and I told my nurse I was leaving because not even a Dr. has come by to check if I was in pain. Sure enough, he showed up and said he was sorry its been too busy, mind you the ER was completely empty. I went ahead and explained my symptoms and without even performing a short. basic physical exam he went back to check my blood-work and discharged me with UTI and some gastroenteritis salmonella which was at best a poor assumption as my infection is not any longer a UTI, but a kidney infection. I was in total shock. I had pointed out to the Dr. I came from Cuba the day before where there is a significant outbreak of Dengue fever and Leptospirosis. Of which both I had symptoms. He didn't test for a single one of this possible life-threatening conditions. I am still deteriorating, running a fever, in pain and I will probably have to go to another Tenet facility where I will have to deal with some careless personnel that would rather judge than treat as I heard many nurses in the halls talking loudly about their patients, violating all kinds of ethic rules and HIPPA guidelines. My wife, which is an RN for Tenet was very disappointed as in her hospital she has never seen this kind of irrational behavior. I would never step again in such a low-class hole nor would I recommend this hospital to any human being. They should be treating animals which will probably stand a better chance than a human been for a proper prognosis. I really hope my illness does not progress into what I fear it is and I don't have to visit another ER with a life-threatening condition because of the negligence of these people. This ER should be completely recycled. Their unprofessional-ism was overwhelming. Never seen such a horrible place! Not even when I used to live in Cuba. THE WORST!!!

Alex Gomez

Not a clean place. Need more maintenance. All corners and joints lacking sealant. Perfect place for bacteria to growth. This is a hospital where people come sick so any other contaminants will make the sickness worse. The people who work here are very kind and compasionate. Attention was quick. With better facilities this hospital could be a good hospital.

Mohammed Aldahabi

The worst hospital in the world and a complete rip off (and they know it)... I was in the ER with my wife she had an allergic coughing, and despite that we told them this... they did unnecessary examinations and now charging me a fortune for a treatment that was not needed... not only that but also i get separate charges for their physician who came for 10 seconds and asked 1 question ... a total theft in the middle of the day with a medical license ... a total disgrace to the area of Coral Gables Wow... on top of that.. it seems that their accounting dept is also a mess! they keep sending me charges that i have settled already! such a big mess

I went to Coral Gables Hospital for Physical Therapy and I had an excellent experience. If I could give 10 Stars I would! Thank you to Turkan for providing compassionate care and to the entire department for an overall great experience. The area was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend this hospital and rehab services department!

roger grimshaw

My recent experience was excellent. Great staff throughout the entire facility from the security guard to the discharge nurse. Literally, everyone I met was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hospital. Five stars in my book!!!!

Alex Guerrero

Terrible experience the ER Doctor night shift was the worst ever I actually came out worst then when I came in never again save yourself time and money.

Horrible experience with social worker. My husband had a stroke and when he was discharged from the hospital, the social worker told him that on the same day or at the latest the next day he would receive a walker for adults, but it was not so. We had to call to find out what had happened and they told us they would call us back. The call was made at 9am in the morning Today and at 12 a day a social worker called to ask me about the case and that at that time they were going to process the order, because I had to call the insurance and process the rest. We have not received the walker yet which affects us to take my husband to his therapies. I'm waiting waiting waiting......

Everyone & I mean everyone who has worked on my surgical procedure( Total knee Replacement) & recovery process Has been awesome!!! Dr. Rich is the best!!!!! All the nurses in operating room made me feel safe, secure & went on a few steps further with personal care to ease my ANXIETY. Angela was incredible as well as all the other staff......I cant remember their names, but i will never forget their faces. My dads care wasnt the best, they messed him up. you need to stay on top of them, have family sleep there everyday. When i asked social service for help, that was the worse. social workers are not there to help at all, very unfriendly, very unprofessional. Im sure there are some good nurses if your luckly to find them. Won't send my dad there again. Going to UM next time. They have better care. Horrible experience and you cant bring it to anyones attention, because no one knows whos in charge.

Rosa Linda Granados

The worst hospital ever.. if you care for your family member keep them away from this place. My aunt was schedule for surgery to get her leg amputed. Every day they kept postponing her surgery for a week finally they said the anesthesiologist did not feel comfortable cause it was a high risk surgery When we reached out to Baptist for an immediate transfer the social worker said they were going to do her surgery the next day. The next day they reschedule the surgury again. Thank God my Aunt is out of there and now in recovery at a different hospital.

Dad was attended in DR well fast and was taken to telemetry. Has respiratory distress from aspiration they gave him quick care with the proper antibiotics and respiratory treatment. His doing better today. Dad is a 96yrs old doctor that worked very much helping people. I'm so far grateful for all of the fast care he has been given.

The WORST staff and uneducated nurses. My grandmother was very poorly attended and I worry for any patient who has the unfortunate luck to end up in this hospital. The hospital is filthy!!!! I asked to speak with her doctor and no one knew who he was. The IV collapsed in her arm and she had swollen ball to prove no one had come to check up on her. The nurse took out the IV and placed it on the table. That goes against standard biohazard disposal procedures!!!!!! There was dried up blood on my grandmothers bed rail, was it hers , was it old , no body knows!!!!!! I am appalled at the lack of sanitary procedures and the uneducated stuff !! Please do yourself a favor and prevent a nosocomial infection to you and your loved ones. Why is one star even an option?!?

Leo Stache

Only one person signing people in. Waited 5 minutes at the counter in the ER before anyone signed us in. The ER doctor asked what was wrong but never let us get a word in. Requested for several tests but none were ordered, so I had to talk to someone else entirely to get them done after we waited two hours. No one really helped us without us actually telling them to. One would expect that in an ER, they would come help you and you wouldn't have to look for someone to tell them to help you. I know her case wasn't as bad as a heart attack, but when ond sees a girl all pale and taking short breaths, one would expect a nurse or doctor to have a bit more concern.

Curt Henning

They treat like $#!+ here do not use there emergency rooms it's filthy filled with dirty mouth animals who call them selves nurses and doctors. AVOID !

Zoltan Adan Rodriguez

Is the worst medical facility that you can go they only care about money. Also they are lliars. First they said that they have an specialist to treat you but they don't have it.And the note of the doctor's said: he barely made it up on floor when he decided to leave and didn't give to him the chance to talk with me. I arrived at 8:44 am and leave at noon tired for waiting for a doctor. That's unprofessional. Liars. They still liars only to cover theirs back with my insurance. I didn't deny any things. Also I'm going to request the state of Florida investigate your facility and the treatment you give to the people of this state .I didn't mention that i was waiting 15 minutes in reception of EMERGENCY because i wasn't no one over there only the security.

Mom came in for minor surgery, stayed overnight. The building itself needs renovations. However, the nursing staff was PHENOMENAL (Mayra and Adrianna were absolutely SPECTACULAR examples of what all nurses should aspire to be). They not only demonstrated onfidence, professionalism, and true competence, they did so WITH GENUINE AFFECTION and JOY. THANK YOU! Olga Grisell Perez, PCT, added an amazing departure as she worked on my mom's "check-out" to take her home. She was friendly, outgoing, professional, and genuinely affectionate in how she cared for my mom. The entire nursing staff, and nursing reception staff, earn a solid 5 star rating!

Patty Gutierrez

My 71 year old mother just had surgery done at this hospital with Dr Joseph Salem. My mother is feeing great and we thank the doctor and the staff at the hospital for this. Everyone at the hospital was very nice. My 3 brothers, my father and myself are grateful for the whole experience with Coral Gables Hospital, their staff and Dr Joseph Salem.

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. By far the worst hospital ever. Beware of parking in the rehab section of this hospital. Perhaps after this stellar review, a sign will be posted designating physicians parking. Like all things in our fair city, so third rate, this hospital had decided that the parking along the wall in the rehab section, was deemed physician parking only. I'm guessing it was decided one morning over a donut and coffee meeting. However the geniuses totally forgot to put any proper signage but said 'we will impound whoever parks here'. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we must also be mind readers when arriving at Coral Gables Hospital. The parking is already quite small but it's more important for a physician that can walk without a disability to have their cars close by vs individuals like my 90 year old mother that has scoliosis and fractures in her spinal column to not have parking. On July 23rd at 230pm after my mom was done with her therapy, I found a nice bright orange violation sticker on my drivers side window, stating my license plate had been recorded and my car will be impounded. This directive, to vandalize my vehicle in a parking area with no proper signage was given by the brilliant Mr Carlos Saborrio, whose hours are 7a to 3p. It was 230 and he but had already gone home. There was only one space when I pulled into the parking lot at 130p and that was over by the 'imaginary' physicians parking. Did anyone ever tell Coral Gables Hospital that you can't enforce a parking without proper signage? This place is a joke.

Whenever I go to the Coral Gables Hospital emergency room I receive the best care. I was to the emergency room on (Thursday) May 3, 2018, and the staff were amazing!!! I didn't have to wait for a long period of time. I was seen by the doctor, treated by the nurse and on my way home before I knew it.

(Translated by Google) My husband went to the emergency and it was only a couple of hours, the horrible conditions: they changed him from one room to another as in 3 occasions and the last room the smell was to urinate according to them for a previous patient and even though they were treating it was worse the environment: I do not recommend charging you more than in other centers and the conditions are heavy from short socks to what is necessary for someone who is sick in that place: the only good thing is the very treatable and professional nurse. The rest is not recommended.

My stay at Coral Gables Hospital was very pleasant. The hospital was very clean and he food was decent. The best part though was the staff. The doctors and nurses were very caring and showed genuine concern for me. I recommend this hospital to anyone.

Great service and outstanding attention given to my mother as she was admitted today. I would like to recognize her nurses Elio and Ms.Small for their super professional demeanor and great knack for detail. Food was very good and the delivery person was very nice. The room was in impeccable condition. Could not be more satisfied. Felt like home. Thank you for you great service.

Arismeldo Vaquero

Last week on 01/22, I went to Coral Gables hospital with my wife and the emergency department was over the top amazing. I was helped by all the nurses and doctors, especially by Dr. Gutierrez. Also, a gentleman named Efren helped me with the admission even though the hospital was very full. He took the time to guide me through the whole process to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Really good department and will always be my first option.

Luisa Garcia

Great service! The staff is amazing and compassionate. I would highly recommend it!

Eliseo Ruiz

Congratulations to the ICU team for their excellent job during my father’s stay in the Coral gables hospital, to all the nurses Carlos, Norka, Claudia and specially nurse Frank Simon Canellas for going the extra mile

Monica Couso

My aunt received the best patient care while in the ICU of Coral Gables Hospital. The doctors were professional and the services 5 star. Special thanks to nurses: Gracie and Lynette. A great experience and she says, "I feel 100% better now than I did before the accident".

Martha Lop

A special Thank you to RN Jayme RN Rafael and Nurse Asst Luz, third floor, for their compassion and professionalism in their efforts to care with a genuine approach to my mother and also all the patients they were assigned to .My mothers had left knee replacement due unbearable pain never an issue of cosmetic Again thanks to your staff, especially ones mentioned, for helping the process alittle easier to mom and us , her family.

After one week of dealing with the mostly incompetent staff, I would need to re-evaluate my last score. If there was less than one star that would be my option. The personnel at the hospital (with perhaps exceptions of a few dedicated ones - I didn't meet any personally) are the worse bunch of illiterates I have come across in the medical profession (doctors notwithstanding). I was put on hold for what appeared to be an eternity only to get status information of a patient (my dad). He was recently moved from a different room and was not listed as such (If you move a patient shouldn't that be pertinent information?) The care being administered is something I highly question (from other comments). The both separate times I called I was told he was 'sleeping'. I've called twice this morning and have yet to communicate with the nurse in charge. They keep telling me she's on another call, really? What about the patients? Needless to say, this place makes me nervous, not the kind of feeling someone not admitted there should have. The staff, mostly Hispanics, can't seem to make up their mind if to speak English of Spanish, or a mixture of both. I'm tired, frustrated and mostly ANGRY. Never again. Unless I (or loved one) is dying and this is the ONLY hospital left in the county, this place is out of service for me!

Mr. Patrick Downs, CEO September 12, 2016 Coral Gables Hospital 3100 Douglas Road Coral Gables, Fl. 33134 Mr. Downs, My Mother in Law, XXXXX XXXX was admitted to your ICU on September 6th after experiencing an event in your emergency room. After our experience we’re not sure how this hospital still has a license to practice and we will spread the word that will reaffirm what people already know about the reputation of this hospital. My Mother in Law came in by private ambulance for having trouble breathing. The ER gave her a medication to help open her lungs and it sent her in to fibrillation. After receiving this medication she complained to the staff that it was burning and pressure in her chest radiating to her jaw. Even a lay person would know that this is a possible symptom of a heart attack. They ignored her and told her it was just the medicine without checking on a monitor what was occurring with her heart. That was because they never hooked up the 72 year old patient to a cardiac monitor which should be standard protocol for any senior having respiratory difficulty. After my wife arrived in the ER 2 hours later and got upset that Ms. XXXXX was being ignored, they did an EKG and the rush began to start giving medicine to try to convert her rhythm. The professionalism of the employees in the hospital leaves a lot to be desired. You have transports pushing patient on a stretcher, speaking in Spanish out loud, like they were in their backyard having a beer with no consideration for the patient in that stretcher and what they may be feeling or experiencing. The entire staff should be trained and have continuous training on how to handle patients and be more sensitive to their needs. Imagine if you were that patient, feeling horrible and these employees are speaking out loud as you suffer on that stretcher like you don’t exist of matter. In the ICU unit that Ms. XXXX has been in for a week has to be one of the worst I’ve been in in my 51 years of life. You have equipment thrown around the room that was previously used on other patients sitting there beeping and causing irritation to the patient trying to rest. As you are aware, after equipment is used, it should be returned to the Central Supply Unit to be cleaned, checked, charged and be ready for the next patient that may need it. Not thrown on top of other equipment, dirty from its last use and then placed on the next victim without their knowledge. Unfortunately that is not my last story from the Intensive Care Unit since while there, calls to the nurse on the remote doesn’t get you help. Ms. XXXXX is having difficulty breathing which would be obvious with a bout of double pneumonia and how does Coral Gables Hospital help her, by providing one of the worst A/C that a hospital should have! Please see the attached photo from the air intake in her hospital ICU room. (no photo but this intake was full of dust to the point that 1/2 inch holes were clogged with the dust). Your facilities Director should be fired for not catching this! This is unacceptable and will be notified to the correct governing bodies since we have the documentation to prove this. From what I see, you nothing has changed! You should be embarrassed by the way this hospital looks where you have visitors that could run this organization better that most of your staff. We are not looking for anything from you in regards to this letter, but you are surrounded by a great City in Coral Gables and you should strive every day to run this hospital with some class that the neighborhood affords you. You should be ashamed of how this place looks and the reputation that you allowed it to have. Best regards, AG 9/30/16: Updtare

I went to the hospital at 4:40 AM just for them to check on my chest and I had to wait until it was 7:30am so they can get done with everything SMH...

WOW! What an amazing customer service experience. The entire team in emergency room were outstanding. The nurses, techs, registration personnel, X-ray, physician and security guard were very caring and expedited my care. Very special people providing excellent service. KUDOS to the emergency room team. Highly recommend this hospital.

This is a great boutique style hospital! The staff is amazing...from the moment you walk in, you feel like family! They really care about the patient as a person and not just a medical record number.

Mariela Rivero

My husband went in through emergency at 7 in the morning with a gallbladder issue he was told in emergency that he was going to have surgery so they pre-opt him and moved him to the 4th floor they had him there for 2 days without eating and as well no doctors came to do anything as last resort they requested an MRI on the third day that still till today we have no results and my husband now has the pain again and we have to go to another hospital. This hospital lacks any type of medical professionalism.

I recently had to take my aunt to the hospital as soon as she flew in from another state because she began to feel sick. Everything was running just fine until she got transferred to ICU. I have been part of the medical field back in North Carolina and never have I been somewhere that was so loud. This floor had so much noise and was insane that I requested my aunt to get put in another room and they did not do anything about it. They were practically having a party in the unit and all having coffee in the middle of the day. I do not remember the nurses name but that really angered me. I hope that this problem gets taken care of in the near future.

Lez Luser

This hospital is a joke the staff is rude as hell. The emergency department is terrible. They use profanity they talk about explicit topics leave garbage all over the floor and are bothered when asked questions. The nurse named Medeline is a rude uneducated horrible nurse. She treated every patient terrible. Please avoid this place at all cost.

recently I went to the hospital with my mother, who does not speak English. Even though the nurse care was good, it seems there is an English only policy and my mother could not communicate her medical problem because the personnel would not talk to her in Spanish. . Fortunately, I arrived on time to help her; It is unfortunate that a hospital such as this one, right in the center of Coral Gables, has implemented an English only policy. According to an employee that is what happened and is a serious problem.

Giselle Lopez

This is the worst service ever, staff members are rude, they are screaming all the time, talking about other patients and you can literally hear them screaming, my father was admitted to the emergency room for high blood pressure and he is been waiting for more than 4 hours because they don’t have rooms available and they are very rude and offensive to the patiens and the relatives this lady is (supposed to be a nurse) is mad and screaming at me just because I’m trying to ask her a simple question and talking about a supervisor that never shows up and saying things that aren’t even making sense. The whole situation is simply out of control I feel like I’m at a 3rd world country hospital because of how they handled the situation and the way they refer to you, this is bs!!!!!!

Miguel Columna

Worked here temporarily and have also had trips to Emergency room personally and with loved ones, usually fast and attentive. Parking is an issue at times.

Enrique de la Barrera

I will never go back to this hospital again. The very day of the surgery they were waiting for our deductible payment of $3000+ at the door which we did very quickly of course. Then, afterwards they had to issue a refund for that amount to us. The refunds department has our case since the end of July 2018, I already spent the months of August and September on the phone with them and this people haven't send the refund back to us yet. Every time we call is a different excuse, excuse after excuse. We are thinking to sue the hospital. Will never be back there.

Eric Erazo

The emergency department does a wonderful job at making sure their patients are well taken care of and make sure everyone is well aware of their situation. However, the main issue is when you're admitted into the hospital. My sister was admitted for throat issues and she suffers from low blood and sugar. The staff refused to give her food, instead only gave her water and broth which made her low blood and sugar worse. They tried to give her a medication for heart problems when she doesn't have any. We did NOT see any doctor or specialist the whole time there and the staff kept on making excuses for lack of presence and one if the nurses insisted that her "pain and hunger" was a mental problem.

X Dr. Luis E. Gurierrez MD was amazing. Makes you feel like family and does his job incredibly awesome. Also the Nurse and Staff members who attended me. Thank you for doing such a great job. They work fast and very efficient. Hospital is clean and easy to get around. They gave me the proper treatment and im feeling and doing better than ever. Thank you so much again to the whole team at Coral Gables Hospital Emergency. Highly Recommend !!

I would like to give my outmost gratitude to everyone who cared for me during my stay here. Everyone was super comforting and made my stay feel like home. I couldn’t have asked for better service. I’d like to mention the incredible work of Rosa Martinez, Lijo, and Yamilka for making sure I had everything I needed. Thank you for the great service.

My son was in the hospital for almost one week for surgery, and everyone, starting with his wonderful doctors, Eric Valladares MD and Dr Frank Aranda, Sandra Vera Zuniga, his Wound Care Specialist, Mayra Young, Assistant Nurse Manager, and his team of nurses and assistants, Roxana, Juan, Loynel and so many others that may his stay at Coral Gables Hospital a pleasant one. The only reason I did not give a 5 is because the blinds in his room were old and stained, and one of them could not be opened, but besides that, I would recommend Coral Gables Hospital to anyone.

Pop Cult Collectibles

Coral Gables Hospital is a death trap. You can find the biggest neglect there, be aware .. the intensive care unit is a door to death, they do not even have doctors available there. ICU is like a horror movie..

my wife has been here for a week already due to extreme abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and the Doctor prescribed her medications to be given to her every 4 hours. Now the problem with that is, is that the nurses NEVER, i mean, NEVER, arrive on time to give her the medications she needs for the pain, they're always half an hour late and on top of that they take another half-hour to prepare the medications that she needs. Most of the time I have to be constantly reminding the nurses to please not come at the last minute with her medications and they do not listen and just tell me to wait til it's time. It's very annoying for me to be doing this and my wife always has to wait in pain for an extra hour so the nurses can finally give her her medication. There has been only 1 nurse who throughout the whole week that we've been here, that comes on time and never has to be reminded. The CEO or someone in charge need to Please do something about this ASAP.

Melyy B

Horrible experience in the er. I arrived there with dehydration and was in the room for more than 2 hours and had not been given an iv or any medication to help with vomiting. The doctor saw me once and they took 5 hours to discharge me. They completely forget about you. Dont ask if you need anything or feel better. Never going back to this hospital ever again!

Horrible attention. I was there about a year ago . I was having chest pain and I was also pregnant. When I got there the lady in the front was on the phone, gave me a form to fill out. I told her I was having chest pain and again she replied, "okay have a seat and fill this form out". I responded I am having chest pain and I am 3 months pregnant. She completely ignored me and just repeated herself "fill this form out and provide your health insurance card". I looked over at my grandmother who accompanied me in disbelief. As I was filling out the form, I heard her on the phone. It seemed like someone was looking for a family member in that hospital. All I heard the front desk lady say " you need to stop calling, I already told you, our system is down and I can't help you, what do you want me to do, get up from my chair and find him/her?". I just couldn't believe my eyes. I waited 20 minutes before I was seen. I guess since they saw I was young they assumed it wasn't "life threatening" Aside from that, the nurse who attended me was very nice and so was the ultrasound tech who performed an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay with the baby. I only saw the doctor once which was to give me my results of EKG and blood work. I was there for 3 hours and my total bills were over $10,000!!!

I want to thank all the staff at Coral Gables Hospital, on November 26, 2018 my father Salvador had a full knee replacement done by Dr.J Rich followed by physical therapy at the rehabilitation center at tje same hospital. His recovery has been amazing.therapist Lyn and Kelly are very proffesional and showed concern for him physically and emotional. My father felt right at home when he first arrived till his last day at the rehab center. The center was always willing to work his therapy sessions around his time. I would also hope that the hospital might look into having the transportation travel further down to Homestead for their patients so more people can benefit from the excellent serives.

I wish there was a minus. I would rate you -5. I did not have any problems in emergency. But the 2nd floor stay is horrible. The nurses are rude. You have a great system of pass the bucket any time you need anything. I have to called the nurse station 3 times to get my pain medication and it took 1 1/2 hours to get. Same for anything I needed, food, pillow, blanket. The floor stinks and the nurses keep speaking Spanish to me even when I spoke English to them. I told the lady I did not understand what she was saying and she left in a huff even when I made it clear I needed help to go to the restroom. I have to remove the oxygen and iv myself so I could limp to the restroom. I have been at Mercy, at Baptist, at Jackson and this is the worst experience I ever had in a hospital. I came here because I live 2 blocks away. But I'm never coming back.

Arturo Munoz-estay

I went to the ER and turned out I had colitis (colon inflammation) so I had to stay over. During the two nights I stayed I couldn't sleep mostly due to the loudness of the people who work there. They come to clean the room and make a lot noise changing and moving things around , on top of that they (including male nurses) speak so loud that you can hear what they say in the aisles. It feels like you are in a open grocery plaza while you are trying to move away from your pain and get some rest. In fairness, there were couple of exceptions in the nursing staff that they were professional and accommodating of my situation. They were great.

Kiara Krystal

Leave patients unattended for a long period of time and their attitude is as if they don't want to work here & unprofessional staff.

This hospital is the worst . Do not take your family there . My daughter was in town for a conference , and had chest pain , so a co-worker took her to the closest hospital . She was seen quickly , and they performed as many tests as possible . Also admitted her quickly under Observation. This after the CTScan and Cardiac Enzymes normal . I am a nurse, and knew something wrong . So I flew there to get her out of that place . She had been admitted , and would have sat there all night not being seen . Also got a bill for 20 grand. After insurance 7 grand .. charges ya for an overnight ! I am taking this to the appropriate next level to report this hospital . Have tried to call billing and discuss the bill . Now my insurance is handling for fraud . Don’t charge someone for something that wasn’t done ! Do not go to this hospital.

Shark Outs

Not exactly the fastest ER processing

Manny Zamora

My grandmother was admitted and the love to order tests unrelated to the patients admission in order to bump their insurance billing and profits. Horrible Dr communication and required me to file a complaint with the Hospital association and Medicare reporting both the hospital and the Drs clear intent to over utilize services which were unnecessary as well as bill inordinately large amounts to Medicare. I suggest you go to any Baptist and drive past this hospital even if you have a legitimate emergenc .

My experience with Coral Gables hospital was nothing short of awesome. I came in with extreme abdominal pain, and was quickly diagnosed with acute appendicitis, and got operated on the same day. Special thanks to Carlos in Security, Efren in ER, Yosnai in Radiology, Dr. Abril, Dr. Brero, Adrianna, Elio and Ana from 3rd floor, and everyone else who I have failed to mention for treating me like a rockstar. It's been less than 72 hours since I started to feel the pain, and now I am walking around with minimal discomfort and should be able to return to a normal routine in less than a week. Kudos to a great hospital

Zach Henry

Luz was absolutely terrible. Does not care about the patient or there needs. Asked for assistance and was just sitting on her computer playing with her phone. Unfortunately she left a very bad taste in my mouth about the entire hospital. She needs to be addressed of this situation as I know other patients were not happy with her work eithic.

Susan Quarry

Old hospital and good care, The staff was good to me, from registering to surgery and after care. The 3rd flood was noisy at night, would recommend ear plugs and the food was not good. The care was excellent. The operating room staff was GREAT, Thanks for everything.

The Hospital STAFF is simply AMAZING ! from the security guard at front to ER personal, ER Physicians, nurses, every single person I got to meet were always willing to help you, service is fast, we got in and less then 30 min we had already spoken with a Doctor, second floor service its great too! I've made the best decision bringing my boyfriend to this Hospital, I am definitely recommending this hospital to everyone I know.

Im giving it 5 stars I had wonderful help from amazing professionals and exceptional human beings like Juan Cosmo,Jessica Carrasquillo and Nicholas Fernandez,Emily Freedman,Greisys Montesdeoca, Douglas.Charge Nurses Craig,Ana Alvorado and Mayra, the PCA's Michael,Gema,Margarita,Guillermo. The food dept girls that delivery the tray Maria and Marta ,Chris andSmokey from the kitchen ,The pre-Op nurses Karina and the guy I can't remember he's name, and others that I can't remember their names they are really God's angels on earth. Most caring and helpful people I ever met they love what they do and they do it with love.Juan Cosmo took care of me like a father after the miserable day I had not only because of the surgery but also because of the nurses Zoraida Beltran.she's a despicable human and the most unprofessional nurse in this hospital...I had just came back from surgery back to my room where my mom was waiting for me.I was very pale and having wheezing due to some reaction from the anesthesia plus in excruciating pain ,I needed some Benadry for it Nurse Zoraida Beltran said that it was not an allergic reaction but a pulmonary problem and refused to give me Benadryl for it even tho I was itching, wheezing and red from rashes, plus she left me without any pain medication for hours and lied to us saying that the doctor didn't want give me anything and had cut it out from every 3 hours to every 5,right after the surgery I was left without any pain reliever, because she was saying that it was the meds that was causing the wheezing, and I had to go down in a very tiny and uncomfortable wheelchair for a nuclear test without any pain medication, lay down and get up from a hard table all by myself while the whole time I cried in excruciating pain and every time I cryied in pain she rolled her eyes annoyed, when I got back and I was still crying she got angry and told me and my mom "I will give you the medication and I don't care if you passed out I will intubate you and send you to ICU " My mother was horrified and Charge Nurse Mayra was in the room as well so she told Nurse Zoraida she couldn't say something like that. All our life's We seen a more careless, unprofessional, heartless nurse .The next day I had Hubert Fatal as nurse he threat me so bad,he's lazy and unprofessional.I don't understand how would hire a nurse like him. Then I had Nurse Madeline Regueral,She saw me crying myself to sleep two nights in the roll because of the pain and did nothing I asked her to call the doctor so he can prescribe something else,.she said she wasn't going to call him because she didn't want too and for me to stop calling her and complain cuz she had other patients. So I called Craig very nice polite guy who placed the call to the doctor and straightened everything out and apologized for her.So besides Nurse Zoraida Beltran,Hubert Fatal and Madeline Regueral Everything else was great and fortunately most of the staff it's helpful, caring and professional those 3 are the bad apples from a beautiful tree!!!I would definitely recommend this hospital

Maria Colimorio

My Dad was here for the first time from 3/16 - 3/18. He was happy with the staff, the food, the attention etc . It's a very clean hospital. Thanks to all the Drs, nurses and the rest of the staff that took care of him :)

M Caceres

This hospital is a legit embarrassment to The City of Coral Gables. I was rushed over here by the fire dept for an intense allergic reaction due to several hornet stings. Once I got there, my nurse could not even provide me with an ice-pack in order to cool down the burn. Twenty five hornet stings... rushed by the fire dept ... and all I'm asking for is a damn ice pack for the time being... yet the nurse denied me as if I was an inconvenience. Had to sit in a visitors chair because apparently there was no room; when I specifically needed somewhere to lay immediately due to the symptoms of my reaction. Shame. Don't let the name fool you. Ask around. This is by far the worst in the area. Absurdly unprofessional in more ways than one!

Yunior Delgado

My grandfather was admitted and placed in the ICU after being intubated. Three to four days later they removed the tubes and he’s gotten much better so he’s no longer in the ICU. The staff and RN team is excellent! They treat patients with empathy and respect. I wish I had the full name to every nurse and staff that aided my grandfather because they all deserve a shoutout.

Had the most traumatic experience at this hospital. I went in last night at 8:15PM. I was greeted by the blonde lady with lip ingections in the lobby (I don’t know her name, but she’s hard to miss). This was the beginning of my nightmare. She was rude and seemed careless. There was no sense of urgency whatsoever. An hour and a half later I get called into triage where a very nice male nurse took my vitals and honestly seemed like the ONLY person in that hospital who actually cared about the patients. Another hour goes by and I’m finally in a bed, where I can hear the nurses yelling to each other across the room about their patients. There was a lady in bed 2 who apparently had vaginal discharge and this I know because one of the nurses yelled “I have an abdominal in 2, she has burning and discharge.” I should have known this was my cue to LEAVE this place, but I was in so much pain, I stayed. After waiting for another 3 hours I became enraged. No one had come to see me, I flagged down a nurse and she simply said “we only have one doctor today, you have to wait” and walked away from me. I grabbed my belongings and walked out at 1:30am. WASTED 5 HOURS IN PAIN FOR NOTHING! I was forced to go to yet another ER, which took me a bit long but I’m feeling better. I am appalled at what this hospital has become, I used to come here because I felt it was the best in the city. Always fast and amazing service. But as of lately you come in and spend hours here, the nurses are careless and don’t mind speaking about your personal business loud enough for the other patients to hear. I feel sorry for the woman on that room, as I’m sure she was as embarrassed as I was for her. The director needs to get involved! I keep reading te reviews and all they do is ask you to call the gentleman in risk management, who you can NEVER get a hold of to begin with. This place is a scam!!!!

Dr Issac

My name is Dr issac have been in the medical field since 1995. I walked in this hospital's ER for a family member. We we're treated like goons from the second we walked in. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to enter this hospital again. Beware.

Where do I started? After having a laringitis abcess in the morning ( 3 saturdays ago) I rushed to this ER . I had completely swollen tonsils and I could barely speak. The medical receptionist didnt knowledge my difficulties and asked me to " have a sit" for more than 40 min. My abcess got worse and started to affect my ear / vestibular system with this worse excrutiating pain . I was crying like a baby because I have never felt a pain like that. Thank God this other patient helped gain balance and take a " sit " for more minutes of waiting. After being called by the triagem nurse ( that did not introduce himself or even demonstrate any mercy )he transfer me ( to be sitting on a bed in the middle of the hallway ) I almost felt twice because I didnt have any balance and he did not ask any related to dizziness or anything other than vital signs. About the second nurse Eli. He saw me crying and came to help me immediately. He is amazing and deserve the word. About the attendant physician: she was straight to the point , yet did not wash her hands between seeing a patient next to me and me afterwords. ( I had a virus, so , nothing else to say) She was kind on my discharged and I was overal happy with her) Overal rating : avoid this ER if you have emergencies and are concern about safety/ disease transmission.

Chauncey Mayfield

My family member spent four days in this "hospital". Coral Gables Hospital is the worst place for medical care. Let's start with the nursing staff. My relative spent most of his stay on the fourth floor. The nurses on this floor are rude, unresponsive and in some cases, appear to be down right angry. Fortunately, there are few exceptions like Nurse Norma and Nurse Katellen (ICU) and there are one to two others whose name I am uable to recall.

Second, the hospital rooms are circa 1964. In fact, the room my relative was in ,while relatively clean, lacked hot water and the bathroom shower was missing the shower head . These are deplorable conditions for a hospital that is in the business of caring for human beings. If you hate your family member have them admitted to this place.and your family Thanksgiving dinner will never be the same.. On the other hand, if sincerely care about the well being of your love ones, stay away from Coral Gables Hospital.

Horrible service would never go back to this hospital . I was treated in the hall way as if my insurance was not enough to get an actual room thus being there were 2 empty room available across the hall from me. Doctor Lugo had an attitude I requested a small ultra sound he's response were let me determine that I feel as if they don't care about the patient were are all clients in that hospital. My personal experience .

This hospital is one big scam

pablo barrios

The worst service ever....they take hours and hours ....the doctors are talking about their vacations and other things that dont have nothing to do with the patients. El peor servico del sur de la florida, doctores incompetentes, enfermer@s malisimos....te dejan botado horas y horas por gusto...lo unico que hacen es sacar dinero al seguro... I will never go back to this hospital or recomens to others...they dont care about your health they just want money from the insurance..

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. This hospital will treat your loved ones as if they were family. The nurses, Marrero and Barreti went above and beyond to care for my 89 year old father. The doctors were great and the workers were amazing . My father was well taken care of physically, medically, always clean, fed but most of all always done with the kind of love and care only a family member can offer. This hospital is not just a hospital. It is the closest thing to a family. I AM SO IMPRESSED. Thank you for loving and taking care of my most precious possession.

Horrific experience. It took 5 different people to put an IV on me after waiting nearly an hour to get attended in the emergency department. Nothing but nurses judging you too, saying you’re a baby and that you have to be a man, when they were literally not hitting my vain, and stabbing my fore arm. It took the final person who was the actual doctor to actually get the IV in. When she GENTLY put it in instead of wiggling around stabbing in and out of my arm. That was just the beginning, they(the doctor) prescribed me an anti biotic that had nothing to do with my stomach issue. In fact after I was told to go to a gastroalogist , the doctor there told me the medication they prescribed me could have made things really bad, for which as I was leaving the receptionist told me it’s COMMON for coral gables hospital to mis prescribe things. I have since not gone to that hospital and have advised my friends not to even dare go there.

Very nice staff.

This questionable hospital was the worst care facility I ever come across, After arriving at the ER in sever pain I was kept waiting for seven hours and never got to see a doctor I strongly discourage anyone needing medical attention from going here !! I went to Doctors Hospital less then a mile from this dump and was treated with professional care by a professional staff who quickly provide the care I needed AGAIN avoid the place or you`ll be sorry !!!!

On Monday, October 1st, I went into this hospital for the first time in my life with the doubts that we all have when we go for the first time to operate on something. It was a partial replacement of the left knee by surgeon JEFFREY Rich. Throughout the day I received incredible, fast and formidable attention, so I want to thank that great team of the Hospital for all the care they had with me, my family and friends who visited me. Professionalism, cleanliness, good food and very good service

Crystal Ohayon

Wow really bad service just over the phone , I'm over here dying and she told me to call back in 5 mins just to see if they take my insurance

Reinier Veloz

Worst experience ever .! I went in through the emergency room , the Doctor that was in charge of ER was so mean and did not understand my needs at all . He was disrespectful and showed a lack of human actions ,the nurses were all talking loud and the one that was taking care of me did not know the test I wanted to have done .

Care is ok, but they keep patients long after they have stopped treating them, just to collect whatever the insurance will pay for. Staff is efficient and caring, but doctors are unavailable. My mother caught pneumonia in this hospital because they kept her too long, and passed away in another hospital. This place is all about money.

God First

Ghetto as hospital !

Paul Ponce Aya-ay

Pathetic IVR. Incompetent operator. I've never been to a place but I called them once as part of a job. The IVR is messed-up; it gave an instruction that lead me to a department (supposed to be Operator) who doesn't know what's going on. No opening spiel even. I had to dial them again, this time I was able to speak with an actual operator who I had trouble understanding due to the noisy background and bad line (plenty of static).

Hospital has mosquitos! Great way to transmit disease!

Barbara Ley

NEVER AGAIN!!! The staff has no consideration for the patients at night, they are loud, and they walk in your room while you are sleeping and leave the lights on at night. The food is horrible. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. This hospital doesn't even deserved a 1 star!

Gentlemen, During the last few weeks I have been doing therapy for my knees at the Outpatient Rehabitation and Wellness Center. I have been very impressed with the staff and services offered. Their proffesionalism, dedication and patience is outstanding. I have noticed all this specially in their treatment of elderly patients. My condition has improved tremendously due to the treatments given to me by Lynn Von Schwab. I am extremely grateful for her kind and patient manner. I would like to take this opportunity to also thank Dr Liliana Cabal for the excellent manner in which she runs the department. Regards, Rogelio de la Rosa

Worst hospital to have a family member in, nurses do not care or have concern for patients pain and discomfort. Second floor supervisor Michael is the worst in dealing with patients. He has very little to none empathy specially for elderly patients. I don’t understand how he still has a job at this or any hospital at all.

Service is horrible. Last night my mother in law was admitted to this hospital. No one has come to ask her if she wants to shower. Now that she asked to take a shower, the assistance nurse came and told her that it is frustrating to have to take care of that at this time and asked her why she didn’t say anything during the day. An unexpected answer from a professional. Maintenance personal is excellent.

I just had cervical surgery. Even do I heard ugly things about this Hospital. I was treated like a king, the staff was very helpful and sweet with me. I had Dr. Allan Jorge. Very professional and very honest. To the nurses of this Hospital. Keep up the great job. You guys are the greatest. Love you all....Roberto Macia.

During my post laminectomy stay on 3rd floor, my encounter was very warm, welcoming and caring. The nurses were very attentive to my EVERY needs, the Assistants Luz Valderamma and Maria were the best. Always willing to help with whatever and made sure I was comfortable and did whatever they saw fit. The Therapist (OT and PT) are awesome and very professional and on top of things. From Day one when I met Mayra Guerrero-Young, she made me feel as though I was family, checking in on me throughout the day to ensure that I was well cared for in every aspect. Actually EVERYONE from environmental to food service was the best I've ever encountered. Patients belong to all departments. I thank GOD for them.. post op recovery can be very scary time but having these individuals lessened that fear immensely. Cudos to them all!!!!!

Don't go, even if you are bleeding, take your chances elsewhere, " amazed at this place,"

Orlando Alessandrini

Very clean, friendly staff, very welcoming and the surgeon was very informative and caring. 3rd floor staff were very compassionate and quick to act and take initiative. Food wasn't too appetizing but that's understandable. All in all, highly reccomended.

Alejandro Agrelo

I had little at the hispital and I went very happy and very satisfied the treatment of the doctors was very good as well as the nurses I finally felt like in family a lot of hygiene and the cleaning very good the food very good in order thanks to All for the treatment and the good attention I would recommend it to my friends and family which is a good hospital I have been in others and as this is the best thank you

Myrna Chico

I has been in this hospital for the last past week the administration and the social worker doesn't care about the patient.

Barry Long

I can't believe they are allowed to stay open. If you are in front of this Hospital and need emergency care drive to Mercy or Doctors Hospital. The risk in travelling far outweighs the risk of going to this dirty , antiquated incompetently staffed hospital . It all started after fasting and not drinking for 10 hours before surgery , having a nursing assistant bring me a pitcher of water while I was in a room waiting to have surgery under general anesthesia . My Doctor is great . After being returned to my room around 3 , the nurse said my dinner would be here soon since I hadn't eaten all day. I had to complain 7 times, including to the floor supervisor before getting something to eat more than 6 HOURS later . The staff with the exception of a few who seemed to have good intentions but always went off shift before they did what they were supposed to , were loud , yelling at each other and kept us awake all night. 2 were hiding out in my room where the other patient was totally drugged out with the curtain pulled and keeping the bright light on his side. Talking about their personal lives at full volume. Did I mention I was supposed to have an ice pack for the swelling site from surgery and it took 5 calls to the front. Every Time someone came and asked what I wanted but never brought back the ice pack . Again I demanded to talk to the supervisor . Just to get an ice pack.. I could go on and on .

Sabrina DeeBunny

Even if your dying and someone offers you to take you here die instead it's the more humane way to go))

Adriana Lugo

Thank you so much to Jason, he was the best nurse!!

Alejandro Hernandez

I decided to come to the rehabilitation department at Coral Gables Hospital because it is very well recognized in the community. My physical therapists Benjamin Segura and Evaristo Rodriguez were very professional and caring. I accomplished excellent results with my treatment.

Karla Santos

My father had a surgery at this Hospital last week. It was a very pleasant experience. All staff very polite, friendly and extremely professional. They all made us feel good and cared about. Excellent experience. I strongly recommend this Hospital. Congratulations!!!

Jessica Fernandez

If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would. This is the most unprofessional and careless hospital I've ever been to in Miami. If you or a family member want to receive proper care do not go here! I was in a bad car accident and they didn't properly triage me when I arrived. They didn't check my abdomen, lungs, or heart to see if the impact caused any damage, and I sat in a chair with huge swollen legs from my arrival at 4:30pm until 9:30pm. That was 5 hours of no patient care. It took hours for a nurse to even bring me ice for my legs. The doctor and nurse didn't introduce themselves when they finally showed up, and were very rude and unprofessional. Also do not expect privacy, the doctor lifted my shirt without warning and my breasts were exposed. I was very uncomfortable and very upset with the treatment that I received. I am lucky that I wasn't dying cause there was no sense of urgency in this "emergency room".

Carolina FStubbe

Today my mother had a surgery and I have to say that Ana from the staff Nursery Director Yinnet nurses: were really helpful and caring Thank you for the proud of what you and make feel patients a great humans Room 322
