Our experience was great. My husband went there with a health issue and he left his medications in NY and the dr there was so friendly they helped him out right away and knew how important it was for him to get his meds

Freddy Hernandez

Ive been here many times always been treated with care and respect

Butcher block hospital. This must be where all the flunking med students wind up. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE.

This place is a joke. Go anywhere else if your are in need of an ER or or placed in in the hospital.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hospital. Sad that I actually worked for Fl Hospital and I’m writing this review. Came into the ER as referred to by a CentraCare Doctor (which is an urgent care chain by Fl Hospital) that was concerned about my state at the time. I have two ear infections, one ear is almost swollen shut and I am in a lot of pain the doctor stated my lymph nodes are very swollen as well. I have a soreness yet numbing sensation along each side of my face. It hurts to talk and I can feel pain in my gums and through my teeth. The right side of my neck is firm and in pain going up to half my head and the right side of my face. I have been waiting a year to go see Ed Sheeran but was not able to go because of the pain that I have. The last place I wanted to be at was a Hospital. Due to the past experience I had with a very quickly progressing Ear Infection and almost hadn’t to have surgery and had a few injections I wanted to take care of this as soon as possible especially since I work tomorrow and have to be on the phones. Coming into the hospital no one knew what they were doing and seemed lost. The nurse that took me back didn’t even have eye contact with me asked me if I had previous illness or diseases, as I let her know she acted disinterested in everything I had to say looking around and was just not there mentally. A nurse named Nicole cane in and just started asking why I was there according to procedure it’s normal so I answered and explained to her that I had been refferred by centracare cause the doctor was very concerned. I told her my ear was almost swollen shut and in a lot of pain and she said, “That’s weird, and hmmmm and all these rude comments” to my answers on how I was feeling. I started to feel uncomfortable with her questions so I started asking why? Like is it weird for me to come into an ER after a Doctor told me too and cause I’m in a lot of pain? Her reply was it’s pretty Dramatic. My ear is almost swollen shut when she looked into my ear with the plastic cone thing she said I can’t see if your pulling away which I wasn’t my ear was swollen so it was a hard thing to get into. So her solution was yanking my ear and shoving the plastic thing into it further than any QTip would ever go. Later following her statement I don’t think it’s infected but I see a little bit of wax in there. When I promise you it is very obvious it is infected it is extremely swollen. I walked out and refused to sign the liability form. I suggest that if you ever have a bad experience walk out and don’t sign anything cause if anything happens to you they’re the ones in trouble. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had, they were careless, rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. Being man handled wasn’t a fun thing about it either, luckily I’m young but my concern is for elders or children to be physically handled like that is insensitive and also dangerous when there’s no diagnosis on the patient you have to be gentle with the areas of concern. I will never go to Florida Hospital again. I am extremely disappointed in the humanity, I did not feel like the employee there were extending the healing ministry of Christ. I say get an entire new staff and train your employees correctly and serve them with corrective action when mistreating patients especially as a nurse or doctor. If you are not concerned about a patients healing don’t become a nurse. I suggest you go to ORMC where the nurse looked at my previous history and is now very concerned about my state. I’d rather wait hours then go there and even then as soon as I got to ORMC they took me back quickly. This Hospital is awful and is lacking compassion and humanity. How I was treated lacked morals and was inhumane.

WARNING DONT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL PLEASE!! I would have loved to give them no stars. Long story short I went to the hospital 3 times the 2 times they did NOTHING and let the patient decline in her health, until her last days when they finally did something. Nurse with the last name of Casey ( a discharge nurse ) has stated she made and appointment, actually many of them. When we called nobody had no idea who the patient was and had no appointment on file. This hospital TAKES INNOCENT PEOPLES LIVES! LIES! Wich causes people’s health to decline. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!

Seen recently in ER. Great experience! Waited less than 15 mins to be in triage, less than 20 mins after that was getting meds to feel better. Nurses were excellent. If sick again, will have no problem coming back.

Never go to this place. There is zero communication between staff, the nurses although nice are inattentive and have little to no information. There is such weak follow up when you do ask questions that you wish you never asked them in the first place, almost to the point that you don't trust their decision making. I have been looking at my lunch tray for 3 hours now. I'm betting that the people who drop off lunch won’t pick up my dirty tray until they drop off dinner. Came in for mild chest pain and they are keeping me because I have kidney dysfunction, something that i have already been living with for over a decade. The fact that a cardiologist signed me out 12 hours after admittance and the resident nephrologists wanted to keep me for 2 days just for observation is absolutely absurd. This is where the lack of communication was. This is so bad. I'm writing this review in while in the hospital bed. I'll drive out of my way to never come back here again and would never suggest anyone to come here if they had a choice.

From arrival in the ER to my discharge this was the fastest experience I think I have ever had at any hospital.

James Patton

Very good hospital 5 thumbs up

Tracy Hebner

Very caring and competent staff. I was terrified and in pain when I walked into the ER. Their customer service and care is excellent. I hope I never have to go back, but I'm very happy with the care I received all of my nurses and doctors were excellent.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Unsafe and unprofessional. Particularly the Endoscopy and Surgery department. Latorie and Ken from the Endoscopy department were the worst. My procedure wait time was 3 and 1/2 hours in the department all while I could have waited in my room instead. While waiting 3 and 1/2 hours I had to listen to Latorie go on a rant about how much she "HATES" animals especially dogs and would cause harm to them if they get close to her. Also hear Ken talk about his vacation non stop and play on his cell phone. This is VERY unprofessional for nursing staff and to top it off I found out that Latorie is the supervisor of the department. What a joke. I asked Ken how long he had been there and he said some odd teen years. This is not a good hospital to have such unprofessional staff like that. To top it off doctor Shaikh was extremely aggressive and could not sedate me enough as they do not use anesthesia in the Endoscopy area and I had to be rescheduled in the Surgery area the next day. Why is this the only hospital that doesn't use anesthesia? Once in the Surgery department again I experienced inappropriate behavior. This time it was from the surgery manager Donna. Donna was having an argument with a nurse and I witnessed the whole dispute. That should not have been in the patients view. I wish I could rate Florida Hospital East a zero. Run while you can, this place is horribly mismanaged.

Grandma Dearest

The best hospital in the area. Took my husband there & he received the best care. Everyone from nurses, to techs to the Drs were attentive, professional and compassionate. The nurses seemed overworked but what nurse isn’t? Yet, they still gave excellent care with a smile.

Gladys Serrano

The worst expierience ever the head nurse Arlene 6039 the worst attitude no care for a patient in pain. I walked in @7:45 didn't get medication till 11am I had to call them so I could get anybody yo come check me time n time again.. I left worse than I came in I gave birth in this hospital so upset that the staff has become the worst people ever never in my life have I gone Tru such a bad expierience Einstein is considered the worst looks like they the best to me Florida Hospital East I would not take my chances there not even if it was the last hospital to exist I'm so dissapointed ....

Dad (76) was admitted for Bronchitis. Then they changed the diagnosis to pneumonia, then they were not sure. They kept saying regardless of 4 stents there was nothing wrong with his heart. Other than a cough he was fine and he was discharged after a 7 day stay. 2 days later my father died.....FROM COMPLICATIONS OF HEART DISEASE. 2nd person I know that has been seen by these INCOMPETENT drs HAD DIED. This hospital REFUSED to sign off on dad's death certificate for the coroner to take dad's body to the morgue. GUILTY of something? Mom (79) fell in July and broke her hip and it's been recovering but never completely healed due to another incompetent drs negligence and ignorance telling her it's been six weeks since her surgery that she could drive when it had only been 4. She fell again Christmas eve and fractured her shoulder. The same side as her broken hip. Now she cannot do anything for herself prior to her fall she could. She cannot walk, feed herself, use the bathroom, take a shower, dress herself, she is in alot of pain and 100% relient on others. According to these INCOMPETENT staff and drs, she don't need to be admitted or anytime of rehab or physical thereapy and sent her home in a cab at 4:30 a.m. Christmas morning. Are you F@#$&!* kidding me? I am appalled by how much HELL I go through to get my elderly mother the proper care she needs. I was advised by her primary care physician to take her to the emergency room to see the neurologist due to her delusions, hallucinations, confusions and the stories she tells that are not connected with reality. The vital nurse KNEW we were there to see a neurologist without an appointment and let her sit there 3 hours in agony to be told by the ER dr that thier emergency does not have a neurologist and put her back in the car ignorant to her obvious condition. I am taking my mother to a different hospital for a 2nd opinion. UPDATE- 2nd opinion (ORMC) ADMITTED her and she WILL get rehab after her hospital stay for dangerously low potassium. Something this hospital SHOULD HAVE DONE instead of sending her home in a cab 4:30 a.m Christmas morning. Thier incompetence took my father and damn near took my mother too. My advice, DO NOT BRING YOUR ELDERLY PARENTS HERE. This place should be ASHAMED of the negligent, ignorant, incompetent care they give to the elderly and SHUT DOWN! UPDATE January 19th 2019- mom is still hospitalized. Ortho follow up appointment caught the broken pelvis this hospital MISSED! She has been cleared from her "knee sling" (paperwork) that was missing parts being used for a fractured shoulder. I REPEAT- DO NOT BRING YOUR ELDERLY PARENTS HERE! Final update- February 20, 2019 The elderly woman you sent home in a cab Christmas morning 100% IGNORANT to her OBVIOUS condition claiming she didn't need to be admitted, rehab or physical therapy is being discharged from "55" days in the hospital. She got the BEST CARE she deserved at Conway Lakes, everything you INCOMPETENT people IGNORED! FINALLY we can celebrate our Christmas AND New Year! Mom and I have been put through LIVING HELL and still working through the long path of recovery. Do NOT bring your elderly parents here! This place needs to change their INCOMPETENT employees instead of the name formerly known as Florida East. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Worse hospital ever....... long story short, if my fiance gets worse by tonight and I have to bring him to ormc, this hospital will have a lawsuit against them

Staff is nice but completely unorganized. I cut my hand open about 2 months ago and went in. They set me up in a room for about 4 hours and by the time that they actually looked at my hand it was too late to stitch it up. It almost two more hours for them to decide what to do. They ended up telling me to wash my hand and bandaged it and sent me on my way with an 1800$ bill (how it came to that price I have no idea) Gave this hospital another chance when my friend had an emergency relating to drug abuse. He was charged a ridiculous amount of money and had a similar experience to mine in which he was just locked up in a room for a few hours while they decided to do nothing and overcharged him as well. Will not be returning.

I recently went to the ER department because I was having a severe Crohns flare up. In a matter of 10 hours they moved me to 5 different rooms. I had to ask several time for pain management and the time between asking and getting was always over an hour. Most of the time I spent waiting for a room since I was being admitted. I was treated like trash and they have the worst communication skills I have ever seen. I would recommend staying the heck away from this facility until they can figure out how to properly treat and communicate with their patients.

Bethany Schivley

The staff, my nurse, and my doctor were absolutely wonderful. Going to the ER is never fun. Today I was treated with respect and care. I truly felt like they cared about my well-being. Thank you, you made me feel important and cared for in my time of need.

For us physicians working in the office buildings in our practices its becoming increasingly hard to find parking spots and we are constantly under surveillance from security staff to the point of harrasment. I know its not their fault as this is probable a order from higher ups, but this is truly a slap in the face to the people that provide services here. All our staff is put in danger by having to park far away in a overflow lot faraway with no safe crossing area identified, even worst no cecurity at night when our female mas and nurses have to risk their safety after a hard day of work. The worst is that the top administrative staff have their own private parking.

Luis Ramos

Nurse and doctor where good but the one that bring you to the room wasn’t good had like an additude face and I told her nicely to bring me a chair for my grandma my and never saw her face again what a worker

Rosa Alexandra

Literally the worst hospital I have ever been in. My husband had an outpatient surgery on May 2017 and at the beginning they told us the surgery will cost about $ 6k and enssurance must cover it, but the fact is the surgery was about $18k and they still are sending new bills to us (seven months after procedure). They are stealing from people so do not attend do this hospital for surgery you will definitely end bankrupt.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE WAIT TIME! PEOPLE BEING CALLED WHO CAME IN AFTER ME!

My experience was a total disaster. I went to the emergency room of Advent Health in Orlando, with nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. The Doctor sent me to my house with a Gatorade and some pills for nausea. They did not pay attention when I told them that I still felt terrible. They did tell me that it was lousy digestion and that it was normal and that it would be taken away later. Two days later, I had to go back to the same emergency room with intense abdominal pain, and after more than an hour waiting with a lot of pain without giving me medication; they wanted to send me to my house with a Gatorade again. But my companion entered into an argument with the Doctor, and that is why they made me a CT, which detected appendicitis. There I was admitted and operated the next day. To finish destroying me, the surgeon made me an ileocecectomy removing 8 centimeters of the colon and 8 centimeters of the ileum. The surgery left me with three scars totaling 23 exterior points and six days admitted to the hospital and with several postoperative discomforts. We are in the 21st century, where laparoscopy or robotic surgeries do almost everything. Getaway from this hospital!

MY daughter is 3 years old and I always go there when she don't feel good. I love the treatment from the doctor and nurse !! and they are so fast and compressive.

The E.R nurses whom cared and tended to my mom on her 2 separate visits in the last week were amazing. (Laura and Brittany). The Dr. L, was not caring at all. In the hospital once my mother was moved to PCU, she had some better care. Male nurse Andy was good and the next day Fallon was amazing (so caring and attentive to my mom's needs, can't praise her enough, top knotch nurse.) The lady caregiver (nursing student?) Dusty was very caring as well. The neurological dr(a lady, forgot name) was good, thorough and explained every thing to us clearly. My rating could easily of been a 1 if not for these few angels. Could of been a 4 or 5 if the actual hospital Dr's called us or were more visible. I will say that on her first stay, Dr Winn (?spelling?, as Asian dr) did show care and help us with his knowledge, just felt discharge of an 84 Yr old woman with parainfluenza 1 after 2 days was a bit quick. This all added up to my 3 star rating. You have at least 2 bright nursing superstars in the ER (Laura and Brittany ) and in PCU Fallon is a true credit to her profession, Andy also an asset. Build on these great souls and things will improve.

Went in May by ambulance and was sent home with a catheter and told to try to locate a Urologist (by the way, that could be a week to 20 days). Went back the next morning and was diagnosed with a colon blockage. I didn’t receive anything for pain until I suggested a topical. Pain management was even worse once I was admitted. NOTE: I paid before I left on both days as there was a 20% discount for doing so. DO NOT do this. DO NOT!! I can't get a detailed billing of first day or second one with overnight stay. I’ve called several times and dealt with both rude and nice people but haven’t received any help. I was actually denied a copy of my payment receipts. I know they owe me money back but I can’t determine how much as I can’t get any real info from them. This place needs a huge overhaul in more areas than one. I won’t go back nor will anyone in my family.

Jennie Dooman

Last time I went in this place, I ended up with staff being condescending, refusal to listen to me OR my daughter who is STILL in pain, and STILL none the wiser as to WHY she's in pain. Almost every time I go in here we get substandard treatment. And I REALLY HATE having someone talk down to me like I'm an idiot. And having a Dr and a nurse change what they think is wrong halfway in the diagnosis. Oh... and what was found to be wrong three days prior? Wasn't anything to be worried about, even though it WAS what they worried about. I'd suggest ORMC, which is where I WILL be going from now on, even if it's WAY out of my way. At least there I know for a fact they won't send a patient home still in agony, in tears, and felling like they are nothing more than a piece of meat.

don wesley

I love fl hospital.. they've saved my life..the only thing I have bad to say someone in the emergency room left their children in the waiting area..which is wrong.i agree but Catlin made a big deal about it with everyone in line but not the mother.other than that..fl hospital is 2nd to none ,btw,I suggest Dr.Perez..she knows her stuff

Julie Singleton

My elderly mother was transported to the ER via ambulance and kept overnight with stroke symptoms. This was by far the best hospital experience we have ever had! Every staff member that entered her room went above and beyond to be kind, compassionate, and helpful.

THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER TAKEN MY DAUGHTER TWICE AND BOTH TIME THEY GAVE ME A DIFFERENT ANSWER AS WHAT SHE HAS. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY IN HERE NOT A REAL HOSPITAL THE DOCTORS ARE THE WORST AND THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WONT EVER COME HERE OR LET ANYONE I KNOW GO TO THAT HOSPITAL

Absolutely 10 Star ⭐️ very friendly staff clean and they helped me when I was almost dying, god bless the doctors and all the staff. Thank You!!!

About 4 years ago I got to the ER at midnight...waiting room only had 1 person other than myself. Was not taken to exam room until 6:40 in the morning! Did not see a doctor until 2:30 in the afternoon. The only reason the doctor came in then was because just before 2:00 they were told they were not getting my deductible until I saw a doctor. Total time in ER was 22 hours. Hope this hospital has improved since 4 years ago.

Nicole Reeder

This place has became a horrible hospital my grandfather went in there on Friday because he was very sick and weak in my house he's 82 years old they let him go back home on Sunday on Monday he woke up so weak that he couldn't even breathe I sent him to Orlando Regional Hospital and they had to give him three pints of blood this hospital did nothing for him!

Sally S

They don’t require their employees to be vaccinated.

I spent 7 hours last night at emergency and hospital with strong abdominal pain. After 7 hours I decide to leave facility...with pain One of the worst ER in the state of Florida . The good reviews are from the people who work at the hospital.

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I suffer from Lupus, RA, Depression/Anxiety, and just recently diagnosed with MS. I am prescribed 16-18 different medications at this time and I am on MANY serotonin increasing medications due to my conditions. I was suffering from the worst migraine I had ever had in my entire life which left me confused and disoriented. My husband was away on business and my only option was to head to the ER . I get there and immediately tell them I am a PRIME candidate at this point for Serotonin Toxicity and show them my complete medicine bag for full disclosure so they can begin assessing the different types of meds and how they may interact with each other. I also try to show the Dr. (some extremely young resident who is clearly annoyed) my drug interaction report that I printed online - which clearly spells out in BOLD RED LETTERS that every single med I’m on interacts in a MAJOR way and that yes I am the PERFECT candidate for serotonin syndrome. The problem with this is...serotonin syndrome is NOT uncommon. But the doctors who recognize and diagnose it ARE. This is a SERIOUS problem in the medical field and especially this hospital. My frustrations with this dismissive doctor and this staff caused me to then break down and sob uncontrollably . I said fine dont listen to me about that or look at my report; please just treat my migraine as it is literally killing me. He then looked at me and asked if I was suicidal; I said no but the pain is so bad if I thought several Tramadol would have stopped it I probably wouldve already tried that. In no way was I suicidal. I was scared and in pain and begging for help. This doctor mistook my sobbing and begging for help and turned it around and used it against me. At that point I could clearly see him mentally washing his hands of me and giving me the “this emotional woman is clearly mentally unstable” diagnosis. He then told me he would be initiating a Baker Act on me. I had no idea what that was. I was alone and scared and in so much pain all I wanted was for someone to help me. Someone to listen to me and not automatically assume that because I am a female suffering and showing emotion that I am mentally unstable or a risk to myself or others. At this point, he left and I never saw a Doctor again. They completely ignored my migraine pain and no longer viewed me as someone to help; no now I was someone who they were stuck with until they could transfer me somewhere else without dealing with me. I was transferred to the psych unit immediately. Stripped of my clothes and all my belongings. My dignity was nonexistent. I then asked countless nurses to please give me something for my migraine because by now it was about 90% worse. She looked at me and said she had no orders for meds. Well can you ask?!?!?! About 3 hours later I was given a Tylenol. Thanks, Florida Hospital. Long story short, my husband showed up and thank God he was able to fly in from Colorado. He finally talked to a Dr. who seemed to have some sense about him and he had me interviewed by a psychiatrist via Tele Doc who immediately rescinded the Baker Act as clearly I was not in any way a threat to myself or anyone else. My story here is absolutely terrifying and even worse...it is 100% true and it happens every single day. I will be exploring any and all options I have regarding the horrendous misdiagnosis and extreme mental anguish this entire situation has put me and my family through. And btw. My migraine still hasn’t subsided but as God as my witness I will never go to this hospital EVER again.

12 hours After foot surgery, the nerve block wore off rapidly, It felt like my foot was exploding. All that night they didn't give me anything that helped. By the time a Dr. came to see me the next morning, I had taken MY OWN PAIN MEDICATION meant for at home post surgery.

Joe Giusti

Force every patient insert an unnecessary IV even if its not needed. Order unnecessary ct scan saying insurance will cover it then send a $2000 bill.

Stephanie Martin

Horrible experience. Unfortunately, a family member had to go to the ER here. The ER physician completely disregarded any of her complaints and brushed it off like it was nothing. No further work-up or consults pertaining to her health were even considered, but yet when she went to another hospital she was admitted immediately to be taken care of. I am in utter disbelief a facility like this would HIRE such incompetent employees. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.

John MacCracken

Only saw a nurse with a title I don't have insurance .They refuse to let me see a real doctor treated me really bad and fast and then wrote a prescription for ear drops it was so expensive I couldn't even afford it with a full-time job. This is not a Christian hospital and they should be ashamed of themselves all they care about is money. They are unprofessional to everybody I miss the old Florida Hospital.

Edward

This location has changed a lot, the ER rooms look better than actual patient rooms in south now, for those not from Orlando, south was the place you wanted to go. East is becoming a better hospital structure wise.I have always had a pleasant experience with staff. Where the better doctors are, I do not know, but If i were a doctor, this is the hospital I would want to spend my work week at.

I came here a month ago for a UTI because my OBGYN was closed and I thought the infection had spread to my kidneys. Turns out it was just a regular UTI and they gave me some fluids and antibiotics. The doctors and nurses were okay but I have yet to stop receiving bills from this hospital. Every week I get another bill! The total is climbing up to $5,000 and I have insurance! When did the health care system become a "let's bankrupt all our patients" system? $5,000 for FLUIDS and ANTIBIOTICS? I am a struggling college student and I find this ridiculous and I will never step foot in this over priced hospital again. Go to ORMC not here. I hope you enjoy ruining the lives of college kids, congratulations!

Worst experience in this hopistal the first time I went I had kidney stones and they sent me home because they didn’t wanted it to do a surgery I had to come back after a month with a lot of pain and finally they decided to do a surgery.... Today I passed out and my mother took me to the hospital and when I told them my feelings and how bad I was feeling the unprofessional doctor said I was lying!!!!!! The only who actually took care of me was the nurse Now I’m here at my house with a lot of pain on my chest because those unprofessional people hurt me!!!! And plus I’m still feeling really bad and feeling very weak and dizzy. You guys are the worst people I ever met.... learn how to do your job....

Patrick Earls

I've lost track of the number of times I've had family members come to the hospital through the ER. They have been nothing but outstanding and I've never encountered a problem of any kind. Everyone is super kind and helpful. Kudos to all who work in the ER!

Desire' Rico

The male nurse I saw who did my I.V was probably the only nice expierence. 5/5 Starts for him. The nurse who came in after his shift was unpleasant. When taking the I.V out half of it was bent up making a C shape and the other part was still in my arm. It was so uncomfortable she took her time opening the gauze. That should've been opened and ready before she even took the I.V out. I'm assuming I was put back in the behavioral ward section. Bathrooms had no exposed pipes, no plastic bag in trash can , metal hole in wall for toilet paper and you had to wash your hands outside the bathroom where the nurses can see you. I've worked at Behavioral Centers and that's how they keep their bathrooms. I felt like they thought I was on drugs.... kind of annoying but I understand that's their job. There was some guy in there that was doing drugs/behavioral issues and being loud. I defiently didn't enjoy being in that part of the hospital. The triage nurse who I saw before going back didn't even listen to my symptoms. The nurse who was in the room with me said she didn't put anything about me taking potassium, or any of my other symptoms. She just put it as chest tightness/anxiety. I've gone to this hospital and the other Florida hospital in altamonte which both convinced me my heavy chest was anxiety after having a normal ECG and Chest X-Ray. I do not have anxiety. I come in with a heavy chest feeling like I can't breathe and they label me as anxiety.Asthma is a disease of the airways, not the alveoli where gas exchange takes place. My oximeter was 100% so I didn't feel that was a very good way to measure a disease of the airways. Maybe good for someone with CF or emphysema. I'm clearly hyperventilating and trying to breathe. Never did any tests that involved A peak flow meter , spirometer... Well come to find out I have asthma. I have a constant tight chest and apparently that is an automatic label for anxiety at hospitals. My PCP told me to go to the hospital if the inhaler and prednisone aren't working. But what is the point of going back to the hospital with my same symptoms if I'm going to be told it's anxiety? I felt more could of been done. I understand anxiety is more common in people my age than any cardiac issues or asthma. I just hope they take this comment and maybe start trying different methods of testing instead of a triage nurse assuming anxiety. Her exact words " sounds like you're just having anxiety. " I have the perfect life in my eyes. I literally have NO reason to have anxiety. I stressed that to her. But what do I know? Don't let anyone dismiss your chest tightness and inability to breathe as automatic anxiety. You may have a type of asthma! Defiently see a PCP. ER doctors are there to stabilize you and send you on your way.

This hospital is excellent love the doctors hardly no waiting and the explain everything step by step I never go to any other hospital but this one 19 years and counting keep up the good work

Ashley Roman

It was the worst experience ever. The two nurses who treated my husband were very rude and the experience was awful.

Deborah Holtzscheiter

Our experience with the ER and subsequent 2-night stay was as great an experience as anyone could have with an hospital. My husband was exhibiting symptoms of what we thought was a stroke or heart attack (jaw pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, just not feeling right and weakness in left arm). All of the staff was pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. They went through proper protocol to diagnose the problem. To our surprise, he ended up having a blood clot in both lungs. If we had flown out the following morning as planned, he probably wouldn't have survived the trip. The stay was equally good and the staff were all wonderful to deal with and extremely competent. We would highly recommend this hospital.

Eric Stockton

Very slow to act, you have to tell someone many times if you need something, IE,,Food ,Meds, Discomfort, rude to my 82 year old Mom, who was sick very bad there, not a good communication between staff, Nurses, & Dr. s & ,,,,My mom told them many times she had to use the restroom & each emp keeped on saying someone else will do it, or you just have to hold it, She is 82 with major back problems, after waiting over an hour , my mom peed in her pants. Then they told her NOT to use call nurses as much as she was, But if they helped her the 1st or 2nd time in a timely manner she wouldn't have to call so many times. I will revise if anything good happens there today, with my Mom in there.

I still believe they chopped half my foot no reason they didn't even try to heal ulcer on my foot.. Wish I can find a lawyer who will take this on for me. Florida east is always misdiagnosing me last month went in cuz my left was and still in great pain and Dr say I had an UTI. Very bad doctors there

Lee G

Late evening ER staff on 07/10-07/11 is very nice, they listen and explain well. We got results in less than an hour which was great. The only downside to the experience was the room we got put in smelled like wood, but it was clean.

Jessica Alcazar

I was in the Hospital since 7/3/2019 until 7/5/2019 am really was pleased and happy with all the staff from 5th floor God bless you guys always from OR Mrs Linda,NataliaThe Drs the Nurse Carmen Luis Ivan Mr Joe cathy overall all the staff im sorry if i missed a name but overall the nutricionist everyone was very cortious and nice thank you so much for taking good care of me ❤⚘

Yenisleidis Hernandez

Very bad experience with Rocio she was the one on the front desk. Very ugly attitude , not doing good job . My little sister was taken to the emergecy , she couldnt find her in the system. let me wait worried because she was not paying attencion was not looking at the right place . People at the front desk checking patients or visitor should be con caring and considerate !

Chelsie Freeman

Had an outpatient surgery here and nurses Sofia in pre-op and Miguel in recovery were amazing! Dr. Wilson the anesthesiologist was also very kind and made sure to answer all my questions. Dr. Coutsoumpos the surgeon is always very caring and made me feel less anxious for the surgery. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the nurse I had in the outpatient post-op was not very caring.

Kristi Lowery

I had a procedure done on Friday in the Endoscopy outpatient. I wanted to say Susan RN and Ken were outstanding. Ken went out of his way to get me put into they system and Susan was the BEST nurse ever. Very caring and attentive.

ramonita pagan

They treat me with honesty , courtesy

This has to be the worst hospital I’ve taken my fiancé to! From the slow check in the emergency room while she’s is pain to the doctor forgetting about her in the room and never put in the request for the medication in the system. After hitting the nurses button on the remote we were told to wait a bit and 20 minutes later nobody came. I heard the entire emergency room staff laughing. I open the blinds to see one of the nurses giving the doctor a shoulder massage. This hospital, nurses, and doctors do not care about the patients at all. We’ve been waiting here in the results waiting room (pic attached) for more than 4 hours without any answers. Worst of it is that we are the only people here! NEVER COMING BACK HERE! Take the longer trip to winter park where they go actually care for the patient

Sylvia Bishop

My mother received a 5 star service at the emergency room yesterday at Florida Hospital East ... everyone there went beyond the normal of “my name is” and “How do you feel Mrs Fernandez?” From Kevin our nurse technician to Dr Cooper they we’re so helpful and caring to my mother God Bless you and your family.

Kathy Arias

Dr's are incompetent they lie can't trust a Dr. If they lie. I THOUGHT this was a great hospital but is not never again Wil I set foot in this unqualified bunch of so called doctors 0 stars

Jesica Rabbit

The nurse on staff was EXCELLENT he was kind caring and informative he took just enough time to make me feel cared for , the Dr on duty was great as well visited me just before I left just to check , sometimes we as patients need to understand drs and nurses aren't able to give individualized care because hospitals are busy and they have so many patients but when you're able to get that care it's a great feeling!! great staff today !

Lori BlueEyes

Just gave me 2 shots when my arm and neck was a lol swollen and I felt short of breath and then sent me home (billed me for 500) and told me then can't do anything just make sure I am not going to die.... and I had to go to ORMC the next night for the same thing.... I will never go back to fl east agin.....

Quratulain Sheikh

I have been twice to the ER and once even had to stay for 3 days under observation . From the front desk to the very last person who transported me back to my ride on discharge , they were all very diligent and caring. They recieve you as professionals and try to give you the best of care as promptly as possible . I always loved Winnie Palmer 's care but I have to appreciate AdventHealth East for their amazing service. Nurse Mae , Nurse Andrew , Nurse Suhail , Nurse Angela , Waleska and all the amazing doctors who attended to me , Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care and compassion. God bless . A few days ago I went to the AdventHealth East Orlando or better known as East Florida Hospital. I was dreading to go. All due to knowing that emergency hospitals are there to solve the problem(s) not to solve them and play cosmetic. In other words, they are going to butcher my skin. I went for an abscess. I love me and feared that. However, it was not like that. They made a very small cut. There was no need for sewing or stapling, etc. All due to Julie Sweet, ARNP (nurse practitioner) and Alex, RN. These two women were great at their skills. Such a blessing to have them take care of me as well as studying so hard to be in this kind of career field. God bless you ladies and thank you so much for choosing this career. I know how hard it must have been.

Llyana Hong Vu

So far so good but staff, presumably a nurse or nurse assistant, who took my husband in was so rude. Unbelievable. Someone like that should not be working in this profession. Other staff were professional and courteous.

thomas gaudino

Been here since 12:30am very good at bring me back now you think that am having chest pains they hook me up to a monitor nope they havent told me at 5am there gonna admit me here it is 9 am and still waiting in er for room plus only seen dr once gotta buzz desk to see nursei get more. Better service at macdonalds

Gisselle Acosta

As soon as you walk in they already trying to get rid of you , dont expect for them to find out why you have a pain or why you feel sick they will just stick and iv on you give you some meds and tell you to make and appointment with your primary care doctor . next time ill go to another hospital . awful service with doctors annoyed about doing their job and trying to be done with you as soon as possible !!

monica061208

If you're very ill, DO NOT COME HERE! They treat you like a junky, and send you on your way with NO real answers. If you came here, go somewhere else and get a second opinion! My dad was here five days, was a known renal failure patient, sent home with no answers, went to another hospital and died two days later because his kidneys had shut down! My mom has a pain pump and they gave her lorazepam which could have killed her combined with the medicine in her pump and already having trouble breathing!

joy roehnert

Good Doctors in ER. Quickly seen to r/o DVT Kathleen in Radiology was so kind & Helpful. She got me a copy of my MRI for me to take for an epidural for pain Coumadin Clinic Pharmacists are fabulous. She told me to park in the circle since I had pain. Front desk were nice and got me quickly to IMR for X-rays. Negatives: impossible to get parking. I had to walk further than my sciatica allows. I always leave 15 minutes just to search for parking. Your phone triage is hard to get through. I think staff should park far away & ride a shuttle bus to their work. It has made me decide to get routine & specialty care where I can get parking & where the triage lets me speak to a human on the third choice not "9". The care is good. The staff is too. But Access is Awful!

Pelle Pelle 183

Get a new security guard this place will be ran better theres a tall heavy set spanish guy that needs to be fired i witnessed this guy harassing peaple for no reason.he likes to start arguments then likes to be sneaky and call police on peaple without warning.sorry excuse for a security guard.i do not recommend this hospital as long as that a**** is still working there.

Rina Nuessle

This hospital is horrible. Delayed visits by doctors, delayed testing, botched surgeries, nursing and doctors who don’t even care about their patients. Believe it or not FHEO, there are people out here who are not drug addicts looking for a fix every time they go to the hospital. Never come here. When we went to another hospital they referred this hospital as East the Beast.

Susan Hanophy

The doctor's, nurses and staff are exceptionally professional and caring. They were all wonderful. Thank you

Garrett Guilbault

Horrible. Went to the Centra Care on University Blvd for pneumonia to get antibiotics, was told I had a collapsed lung and had to rush to FHEO. Arrived, waited about 4 hours to be told I did not have a collapsed lung and just had pneumonia as I originally thought. Wanted to leave as I was sure I had already racked up thousands in bills by stepping inside, and as a relatively healthy 27-year-old I do not need hospital treatment for pneumonia. The only reason I entered the building in the first place was the misdiagnosis of a collapsed lung. Multiple doctors, nurses, etc. told me that I would need to go AMA to leave, and implied my insurance likely wouldn't cover anything if I did so. They gave me IV fluids and antibiotics and kept me overnight, despite my fever being below 100 and my repeated statements that I did not feel it was necessary and I wanted to leave rather than accumulate more medical bills. I spent over 30 hours stuck there while they used me and my insurance to rack up fees. I had clearly expressed my desire to leave after the first 4 hours, and again to everyone who would listen to me. The nursing staff was understandably agitated that I kept asking to leave, but they did not have the authority to allow me to do so. In the end, they required I see an infectious disease specialist to get the clear to leave, for a simple pneumonia case. The specialist cleared me in less than 3 minutes after examining me. Everything in between was somewhere between billing abuse and extortion. I was confident I did not need medical treatment, but was made to feel that AMA was not an option as it would increase my out of pocket expenses. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any sort of health care, and I am still awaiting my bill 2 weeks later, which I am sure will be extensive. Edit: Forgot to mention that they gave me a printout with a followup appointment today, June 20 7:30 AM, at the Lake Underhill True Health Center. Upon arriving, not only did I find out that they do not open until 8:00 AM, but FHEO had never contacted them to make an appointment. The staff tried to be helpful, but did not have any open appointments until July. I had a physical printout they handed me at the hospital showing the date and time of the appointment that they clearly did not bother making for me.

Briana Boyett

Only giving one star because that’s the lowest possible rating. After a 5 day stay and coming in by ambulance, I was treated horrible by staff, doctors had no answers and I wound up signing myself out and going to a different hospital which in minutes addressed the issue that these doctors couldn’t and wouldn’t in five days. Worst hospital EVER.

April Bird

Endured a horrific experience last year. This is not a caring branch of Advent Health. My experience with other branches were very positive. Be careful where you choose to go for your health care needs. Be blessed!

Ricardo Caban

Got to be the worst hospital in Orlando.. literally... I called up there to check on a loved one and they hung up on me.. so I asked to speak to a supervisor and she hung up on me too... It just goes on and on from there... My wife went into surgery for her intestines and came out with her appendix missing never fixed intestines now I have to go back for V surgery

Terri Desalvo

This place absolutely suckssss the doctors do not care to help at all if you are in pain and really need help stay away from here cause it will get you no where

lyd M

Went to the outpatient lab on a Saturday morning, waited about an hour for turn which was surprising. I was there at 7:30 a.m.. The staff was super nice and helpful, esp Suaze. She was very sweet and worked with me to get an order from my doctor for a different test. I like the lab here, a lot.

This hospital is only good if you have a broken bone, anything else I would say go to another. No one communicates in this hospital to each other, very unprofessional. I had issues with the nurse and tech and the "Nurse Leader" came and talked with me and said "He will handle it, and that's not right" ok..thanks? Don't talk about your patients behind their back, LITERALLY behind my back. I have ears, I can hear you. VERY rude. Of course when they hear what happened you get "we care" ... Show it then? My mother is diabetic and she was in the room with me and went to the nurses station and asked for some juice the lady stared at her and said "Go back to your room" WTF?!!! There are so many other things ..I am actively going to sue for the poor service I got! I have proof! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!! PLEASE!!!

Brett S

Some of these reviews make me laugh with people self diagnosing and expecting immediate attention when there are others waiting as well. In the end, every hospital will have its compliments and complaints. Compared to other hospitals in the area, wait times here are generally less than the rest. I was admitted for 6 days and overall the staff was attentive, listened to my needs, addressed my pain, did testing and procedure in a timely manner. It was expensive as all hospitals are in the U.S. Nurses and doctors treated me and my family with respect and I never felt like they were rushing to get out of the room. Maybe it's not the best hospital in the country but I'd go here again.

Jessica Chadwick

I had surgery to have my gallbladder removed. The surgery went well. Staff was great. The issue was post surgery. Dr. Ali Mahrukh was the doctor in charge of my care. I was discharged home at 4 pm. The nurse, Jackie, and the nurse lead, Cenderella, were both very clear and adamant that Dr. Ali Mahrukh was sending my prescriptions electronically so I was sent home. Then, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medications around 5pm. CVS stated they did not have mine on file, and I need to call the hospital. So I called the hospital. Cinderella apologizes for the issue. She stated Dr. Ali Mahrukh told her she was sending electronically but she will have it fixed right away. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK, so I assumed they called them in. I went to CVS again. They stated only my Zofran was called in. I called Florida Hospital East again and spoke with Cinderella. She told me that Dr. Ali Mahrukh left for the night and wasn’t able to call in my pain medications because it was a narcotic. I asked what they were going to do. She said Dr. Ali called in what she could for me. I became very upset and hurting. I threatened a lawsuit so they finally found another doctor to write my Rx BUT I HAD TO COME BACK TO THE HOSPITAL TO PICK IT UP. The nurse, Ashley, was so rude to me because she had to go get a new Rx from Dr. Bruno who wrote it for the future. I go pick it up. The doctor wrote 8/919 on my pain medication RX. By now my pharmacy is closed. I had to go ALL night without medication. I almost went back to the ER because I was in so much pain but it hurt to move. The next morning I call the hospital back to get a new RX. There are all new staff there and Dr. Ali Mahrukh. She told me to come back to the hospital for a new Rx. She said she don’t know what the hospital done with the Rx during my transport from surgery to my room. She had the audacity to tell me, “Put yourself in my shoes. What was I supposed to do.” I said, “You were supposed to do your job which you failed at.” I went to the hospital and the lead nurse insinuated I was a drug attic. She stated, “Well this is the first step to getting help, right?” Again, Dr Ali Mahrukh tried to give me a Rx that was not on Rx paper. I explained that won’t work. She didn’t know what Rx paper was or how to print it. It took two nurses, including the lead nurse, to check the printer for Rx paper. According to my lawyer, I have a lawsuit for medical negligence against Dr. Ali Mahrukh, Dr. Brown, and Florida Hospital for having to go ALL NIGHT without pain medication after just being released from the hospital for surgery. I am pushing this until the end since I need to put myself in her shoes and the black lead nurse recited the NA 1st rule to me insinuating I am a druggy.

Alyssa Gonzalez

Very helpful and really nice. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and I’ve always had a pleasant experience with them.

Carmen Coffman

Awful service, no sense of urgency, no communication, my uncle has been here for 2 months, you never see the doctors, sit and wait during the hours they state the doctor will be in, never shows. The nurses tell you they know nothing. They state the doctors notes don't show until 48 hours after their visit. He's fallen off an alarmed bed twice, they state someone forgot to turn the alarm on! Do your loved one a favor and take them elsewhere.

Sharon Sandulli

Not sure who voted this hospital #1 in Orlando. I go because it's closest to home, but no more does that matter. The Emergency Room staff is always amazing. The hospital staff once you check in is rude, condescending, uncaring and provoke arguments. Nurse Mona needs to go on suspension until she successfully completes sensitivity training. This is the worst hospital in Orlando!

Kevin Hall

Most discusting place I have ever been in. I refused the IV because of how nasty room D40 was. Blood on the walls, blood on the bed. The floors have not been clean since they opened the place. And the Nurse and Doctor information had not been changed in 3 days. What a terrible example of heathcare. JCAHO needs to close this place down.

Jorge Aguilar

I came in with a seriously high fever. The nurses were all very attentive and professional. The doctor was great as well. My first time ever in the ER and these professionals made it a great experience.

Amy Kirby

Disappointed in the lack of professionalism from my interaction here on 9/7/19. The office staff was rude and having inappropriate conversations amongst themselves while patients were approaching and in the waiting area. It's clear there are several, inexperienced young individuals who truly do not care about their jobs here. They were gossiping, using profanity, and having completely inappropriate conversations. You're working in a professional setting, and it may be that due to lack of experience and/or lack of management, they do not understand their duties. I'd recommend better management to make this setting more professional, versus gossiping with your employees in front of patients. I've never had an experience like this with any AdventHealth branch. Had all other locations not been closed, I never would have visited here. I do not recommend this location and truly hope they get it together, as they're giving AdventHealth a bad name with the staffing here.

Hadiza Umar

I was so disappointed,I rushed my child on Saturday 3/9/2019 with cough, vomiting and general pain.He was throwing up so bad that he couldn't retained non of his meds. They gave him Ibuprofen in an empty stomach and zofran but kept throwing up.I thought they will do blood work and xray for him because I told them he is asthmatic but unfortunately they told me to go home and monitor him.He threw up 4× but still rushed us out.We came back,he suffered like that Saturday and Sunday. First thing in the morning I rushed him to his primary physician, God bless her heart, she did blood work and chest xray and the result came back positive for pneumonia. Poor child, she puts him on medications and now he is improving. And they will bill his insurance for doing nothing for him.

Amanda Molina

They took me in right away since I was having an allergic reaction to antibiotic so that was good. They were able to relieve my symptoms. I saw 3 nurses and 1 doctor. The male nurse was amazing, the new female doctor was a little lost and the nurse who helped with the EpiPen was the worst!! She told me it was my life, not hers. On top of that they failed to list the two allergies I have, mind you the one I was there for. The doctor prescribed me a medication with the main ingredient I am allergic too because they DIDN'T list my allergies. I will never be going to this emergency room again.

Victor

ER doctors and staff have no knowledge and skills. The only things they have are new offices, arrogance, and ignorance. I had a small injury. They gave me an internship without asking my permission. I ended up with surgery. Not only I had to pay big bills and suffered lots of pain.

Elesha Ford

I would give a zero if I could. I am absolutely not paying the bill and disputing it when it goes to my insurance company. I have had such a terrible experience with the hospital, the staff, the risk management department, and grievance committee I have started an advocacy program to help others out there file complaints, claims, and abuse reports on the staff at hospitals when they are injured or mistreated with poor health care. If you are affected by this hospital or any hospital please see my Facebook page for Allegience Against Poor Medical Services. I left this hospital with bruises, pains, and unresolved medical conditions from their staff. I tried to work with out but they did what those with money do after they take yours, they swept me to the side. My bills exceeded $120,000 and most were paid. I will not be silenced. I have instructed my family to look further into this if I die. Too many people in America die due to the negligence of those who are paid to care the most. They were horrible to me and i am still searching for appropriate care. and I have documentation and pictures to back up the lack of competence that exist in this hospital. This review is just to warn people not to go. Please don't go if you care about yourself and have a choice!

Peter Rodriguez

Hands down the best hospital in Florida

Kenneth Quinones Jr

This hospital was the most wonderful hospital ive been too. They treated my sister extremely well and treated us as well. They treated other patients with respect and the doctors and nurses were really good at what they were doing. This hospital like i have no words for them because this is how good they are!!!

Gigi C

I took my baby to the ER Pediatric department. Conor and Jon were amazing. They made us feel very welcomed. Conor was super friendly and gave not only the baby attention but also to my two older kids that were with us. Kept them entertained. Jon was very sweet to the baby and very friendly to us. The rest of the staff was also very nice and helpful. We were in and out pretty quick. Thank you guys for your welcoming attitude :)

Kathy Jimenez

One of the worst hospitals in the state of Florida . The good reviews are from the people who work at the hospital and they're all the posts about liars

Martha Upegui

I would like to give 5 stars to the fast attention, but I m going to give zero stars to the nurse practitioner very unfriendly, very sharp, asked a lot of questions but didn't let us really answer, or may be I had bad luck that afternoon and the staff were in a really bad mood. He honestly was just not a people person. One of the nurses that took me to get an X-ray left me by the room and said someone would come and get me. When the guy came to get me he said that he was sorry and didn't know why she left me there without knocking on the room or letting him know he had a patient. The only way he saw that i was there was because he coincidentally looked at the cameras. That was very unprofessional of her. He told me that I have nothing wrong with my knee ,also he said I need an MRI but they don't do it and I walk out the hospital still in pain. He prescribe me Ibuprofen and recommend me to see an Orthopedic, I feel like I wasted my money and my time.

Lindsay Ritner

This is a sad excuse for a hospital. Complete waste of money. Don't go unless you have a broken bone because that's probably all they're good for. Failed to mention (or maybe even notice) so many critical details that are quite literally life or death.

J'Vaughn Barnette

i always have a good experience a lot of the doctors know what they are talking about. wait was not to long but also i did come on a tuesday morning.

Merlita Balaoing

If one has to wait 15 minutes or more on hold just to find out if they are taking new patients and make an appointment, one wonders. I hung up and called another.

Melinda Maughan

Worst hospital experience ever. I have gallstones and they want to send me home with just pain medication that does not work for me and come back when it gets worse . Or go see a specialist, yet they have surgeons here! Ridiculous. They just want you to die at home!!!

Abigail Corner

Ridiculously Expensive. Unfortunately, I needed an ER visit. I have insurance. Like all plans, its a high deductible plan at this point. The cheapest you can get out of the ER is $1500 out of pocket (Pathologist + Labs + ER Facility + Physician/Staff fee). It's just nuts. You read online if you have certain symptoms to go to the ER right away, so you go, and then you get crushed with large bills. You ask for justification and they tell you that because they are a Level 4 unit and it's East Orlando that is the accepted rate.

Caroline Dillon

The ER Dr n staff was the best I ever had. Told I'd b transferred to FL south as colorectal surgeon didn't have surgery privileges but there was one in the ER. I'm bleeding blood running down my legs my anus completely blocked, excruciating pain. The great ER Dr comes in n says the surgeon from FL south wants pictures. How humiliating. So he takes them n texts them. He comes back in n says they told me to discharge u n Dr and surgeon in hospital will not come see me. They referred me to 2 different colorectal surgeons. I'm screaming n crying that I'm going to go home n jump off a cliff n kill myself. I then received my discharge papers. My regular Dr well PA couldn't believe it. I called Fri morning to surgeon n she doesn't have the authority to give me an appt but will have the supervisor call me. I called Fri am when they opened it's now wed afternoon. I really don't know what to do. When u call it days if this is an emergency plz hang up n call 911. I told her I woke up up in a puddle of blood ECT ECT. No one will help me!

Michael Dumas

Horrible customer service. If you need to call them get ready to be put on hold for long periods of time and hung up on. The nursing staff is great.

Larry Neitzel

We were scammed. The wife was admitted to Orlando east and after 5 days the doctor said she needed a procedure that could only be done at Orlando south. When I ask if I needed to transport her there , we were told that since she was a patient of Orlando east and Orlando south was part of the same hospital network that the hospital would transport her and it would all be covered by our insurance. They took her to Orlando south and performed the procedure and brought her back the same day. She checked out 5 days later. The next month we received a bill from Advent Health EMS for $1350 for transporting her to Orlando South and back. After talking to multiple people at the Orlando east office we were told the “ we should not have been billed for this but there was nothing they could do about it”. So we paid $1350 for something they said should and would be covered.

Jrip OnTheTrack

The worst hospital in Florida! Don’t waste your time!!

Adena Oliger

I have a friend sitting in this ER right now. She is having a severe allergic reaction to a new medication that was prescribed to her. She was advised by her primary to immediately get to the nearest ER. These incompetent people have left her in the waiting room. I am have to sit on Skype with her so that if anything happens I can call 911. She obviously would have been better off risking her life and drive somewhere else for appropriate care.

Mimi Morales

Lucy (ER)Jim(ICU)Stephanie +Nursing staff were very prof & caring///Very Bad Comm between mds & nurses(-medications-diet instr&poor care bef & after a dialysis procedure. We ended up in Rollins-Downtown-Better equiped./)Lk.Underhill isGood hospital for issues that do not require a specialist.Your health is at risk if you are a Dialysis-Cardiac or Diabetes mix patient-Not my advice to come here.

Stacy Aquino

The ER nurses and Dr. Trivino were awesome. Very knowledgeable and efficent. We appreciate your assistance.

John Holland

Wonderful experience, if you are allowed to use “wonderful” when having an emergency operation. Staff are nice, knowledgeable and professional. Rooms and common areas clean and updated. Thank you for taking good care of my daughter.

JessB70

Wow. My mother-in-law is currently admitted - 90 years old, memory loss, minimal eyesight, etc. It is unsafe for her to return home where she had been living by herself. While the nurses and doctors seem fine, the Administration is awful. Last week, there was zero sense of urgency as far as paperwork to get her released and admitted into an assisted living facility. Nobody appeared to give a sh*t and the social worker assigned to her case was unhelpful and pretty b*tchy. All of the sudden, they must need the bed space because they are pulling out all the stops to get rid of her. Including lying about my husband, who is POA, having financial responsibility for her medical bills and trying to send her home with anyone who visits her, whether or not she should be released to them and despite the fact that it is not safe for her to go home by herself. If given a choice, I would never want any of my loved ones admitted to this hospital again due to the horrible administrative management and lack of concern for her safety.

Jean Bluty

Really Bad Service. I went to the ER to get treated for Severe Headache and treatment took about 4-5hrs, headache didn't went down and they billed my insurance company over $6000 and my insurance company rejected it. Not happy at all.

Maria Vigo

The emergency room is disgusting, dirty furniture and seats. The staff is very unfriendly wherever you go.

Monty Giles

Excellent staff..very friendly and caring. Doctors were great. No complaints.

Valentina Rodriguez

I want to tell Thanks so much to ER And the staff from the Hospital from the excellent attention to my Dad. Special mention to the Dr. Ruth Ramirez, for her dedication and special attention to my dad, Rafael Rodriguez, and all the doctor, nurses, who gave my dad their love . He finally go back to Venezuela after 15 days in critical condition. I don't have words to describe my infinite thanks. God BLess everybody.

sam noneya

This is a great hospital. I've beed here several times before and had great experiences. People act like hospitals are a five star hotel. When you come to a hospital, expect to wait. If you think that this is the only hospital that you have to wait at, you're in for a big surprise. There are other people that are sick and possibly more sick than you. If you think that you're being over charged, then once again, you're in for a big surprise. Every hospital is expensive. This one is no different then any other. The charges that you receive is because of the type of insurance that you have. Like I said before, if you think you can walk in to an ED, immediately be taking care of before everyone else, think there's another hospital cheaper out there, you all are living in a fantasy world.

Matt Jones

Service is a bit slow but otherwise not bad.

LeFrantz _

Took my daughter to the ER because she was not feeling well. Since the moment we walked to moment we left, everything was smooth and inviting. The nurses where very friendly to my daughter and I. We came in with a problem and walked out with a solution. Thank you guys for doing your job right.

Zlatan Elyjah Calixte

I wish they had less than 0 rate cause Nurse Morgan she works in the children emergency department, if you are a black man taking your daughter there get ready to answer her stupid nonsense questions, and she even dare asking my daughter personal questions about me, like is my daughter feeling safe around me. #BeingBlackisnotaCrime

Melli B

I really dislike this hospital. The doctors here seem like they don't really care about the patients. Its more about lets just get them in and out. I was here yesterday. I was so I'll and in extreme pain. I'm at home now and still feel the same. They didn't do anything for me. I like Florida South the best.

Robert Giffin

Went in with high blood pressure at 152/95 and having a headache for 3 weeks now. Was treated by nurse Dan and Dr.Rivera. Long story short, they gave me saline and took blood for tests. Dr.Rivera said im not in critical condition and wanted to give me drugs for my headache. I refused in search of the cause. Before I left my BP was at 144/88. Still high but headache less intense. What really concerns me is that when I went to review my results online, they lied about my BP and in my results they put in 135/75. I asked so what is wrong. They couldnt give me an answer. Just to follow up with Physician. Only thing I learned is that my headache intensity is related to how high my BP is. This I learned myself from watching the machine take readings 3 times. Add: Forgot to mention, the nurse which took my blood and did EKG was great. She got my vein in one quick shot and was very sweet and caring. Unfortionately I forgot her name. She had bad knees from soccer and blonde hair.

The ER staff here was incredibly kind, polite, and professional. If you come in as victim of a crime, they will give you ample opportunity and information about filing a police report, while at the same time not being pushy or judgemental. The billing was the most straightforward and easy to understand of any medical facility I've ever visited. The wait time was probably about average for a major city hospital on a Saturday afternoon; I was there 4-5 hours total. I would highly recommend this hospital and am impressed by everyone from the front desk attendant to the doctor's professionalism in handling trauma.

They have a great staff. Is a nice location

Terrible care found here. The fire department/ paramedics did way more for me than the nurses and physicians in the emergency room unit. Had severe pain from multiple kidney stones and an awful gastrointestinal virus. I was so weak and miserable. The paramedics were caring, sympathetic, and acted quickly. The nurses acted put out (probably short staffed) and it took forever for me to be seen. It seemed like they thought I was just there for the drugs. I’m not from there so it may be an actual problem in their area. However, they were very wrong about me. I felt very judged and degraded. I hope the nurses here can learn to gain some of their lost empathy back. :( If you’re in severe pain and need a hospital, I suggest staying in the ambulance a little longer and going to a different emergency room. I ended up flying home and seeing my doctor, where I received proper treatment.

Great staff every time I've been there for someone or my self thank U,all

Have a little cold, old pains yeah fine but anything else I would not trust this place opinion. I've yet met anyone who has had a good outcome. This seems to be the "learning place" or for starters. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

I am very happy with my stay. Everyone was very helpful and concerned that I was doing better. I loved my experence. The meals I was served was very nice aswell. If I need to go to er again I will go to Florida Hospial East. Thank You to all and the Nerses and staff in Unit 5. Thank You. Aaron J.Gordon.

I went in the ER because I thought I had blood in my urine. After about 2 hours later Dr. Ademola Adewale and his fellow doctors came in and told me it wasn't blood in my urine , and we are going to release you. I asked what was in it? his response was "I DON'T KNOW." he became aggravated, and I said " I would rather be dead than feel like this." The next thing I know I'm being sent to an institution for suicide watch. next time I will say I would rather be tortured than feel like this. after two days of being sick as HELL, I was released. I immediately went to another hospital where they found CANCER in my lung and liver. This is documented, so if you don't believe me, do some research.

Omg, better is imposible, starting with the men who is in the front desk, was nice and gentle. The nurses, sweetest like they have to be, the MD’s the best. I hope to never come back because is better out of the hospital but if I have to, straight to this place. I am from Venezuela and I am very happy to find this emergency. Recommended.

I was brought there by ambulance from the waterford lakes er. I was supposed to be admitted for a infection in my face a iv antibiotic never got it was released instead so i was transported for no reason. Doctor told me it was a abscess tooth not a reaction to the new medication my real doctor gave me.He gave me a antibiotic sat there in a hospital bed for 4 hours no iv or anything told him my doctor wrote me a perscription for my diabeties. But wrote a script any ways. I went to the dentist Monday and my real doctor it was not a abcess it was a allergic reaction to medication like i said. She gave me the correct medication i needed to help with swelling.

Well first of all if you have a teenager with mental health issues because they were bullied remember Timothy will meet with you last and tell you that it was something that the parents did that was wrong and you need family therapy. You will talk to alot of staff members that will do absolutely nothing for you but listen. They will not admit your teen unless they are Baker Act Material and then your child gets tied up in the court systems and it will be difficult to get them back. So now they are really depressed because they want to come home and they cannot. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEENAGER STRUGGLING WITH ANY MENTAL ISSUES HERE. Unless you want to be insulted as a Parent of a child that got bulled and can no longer function properly. I do not even think that they have a Psychiatric ward there due to FEDERAL CUT BACKS. Just remember Aaron Cutter is a Doctor but Timothy in the Education department makes all the decisions. He looks like a Catholic Church priest trying to protect a child molester at Church. The priest did not do anything wrong you are low life immigrants and did something wrong as parents. If you see him tell him to GO TO HELL for me. Thanks

WORST HOSPITAL IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!! Every time I went there, I was treated poorly and was there for at least 6 hours! Once I went there because I was 5 weeks pregnant and bleeding and they did an ultrasound on me and said I was fine. But of course, I had to wait like 3 hours for the doctor to come in and tell me. So they put my boyfriend and I into a room to wait for the 3 hours. It wasn't even a normal hospital room. It was a supply room with the letter B taped to the door. So after the doctor came in to tell me everything was fine, he left without even taking my IV out. So I got dressed and then finally had to ask some random nurse in the hall to take it out for me. To make matters worse, I stormed out of there and left my discharge papers which I needed. I had to return the next day. When I showed up there, the lady at the desk asked me what I wanted. I told her I called before and I had left my discharge papers the day before. So she goes in the back somewhere to go get them. When she comes back out, I was asking her questions about getting Pregnancy Medicaid. That's when she looked at my papers and said VERY loudly in front of a beyond full waiting room that I "wasn't pregnant and I had lost my baby." And she laughed about it and everyone turned to look at me. I was mortified. I told her the ultrasound said everything was fine and she said on the paper it said "possible miscarriage." I snatched the papers out of her hands and then I left. Well my son will be 2 in October. Obviously it wasn't a miscarriage. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT go to this hospital for any reason. Try Winter Park Hospital. They are awesome and fast and friendly!

Been here for two days my mother had a heart attack and was admitted and treated immediately the Doctors and staff have kept us updated with every thing they are doing and the nursing staff has been more than outstanding everyone has been very kind and courteous and treated my mom with the utmost respect. Kudos

Sir Pumpington Of Dumpenshire

Stay away from these incompetent, clownish thieves. I went in here with a severe case of pink eye, my eyes were about to pop out of my head, and I had to sit and wait for about 2 hours was and billed $750 for the "visit" apart from the $200 I wasted on several medications that never worked. I sought an eye doctor afterwards who actually knew what she was doing and saved my eyes from becoming a viral slush with only ONE medication. They should make red noses and rainbow afros a mandatory part of the staff's uniform so people can at least be visually aware of what they're getting themselves into.

Lizanne Bonilla

To be honest they should care more about the patients pain that they are going thru find out the problem n fix it...not send them home with narcotics n tell them if it gets worse to come back. That's not caring about the people well being that looks like it's care about there money only....something needs to be done I hope Trump can fix all these problems.

Nothing but good things to say about this hospital. Went to the ER and had a wonderful nurse named Alison. The doctors were friendly, helpful and caring. Was later admitted and moved to CDU, everyone was very friendly and helpful from the techs, nurses, doctors and transport staff. As a mom of two I'm not used to being the sick one and I don't like it much but I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else during that time! Thank you Florida Hospital!!

Exceptional and Outstanding are only some of the words that describes the care, service and assistance provided by this hospital's staff. I am a snow bird from NYC. I had recently arrived when I had a serious accident. I dislocated and broke my ankle. The multiple fractures required emergency surgery. From the very start of my journey through my medical emergency, I have only PRAISE for all the people who helped me at AdventHealth East Orlando at Lake Underhill (formerly Florida Hospital). From the varied disciplines: Surgeons, CNAs, nurses and aides, physical and occupational therapists, doctors, case workers, admission, admin, social workers, Chaplains, visiting churches, dieticians, maintenance...I may have missed some departments...but ALL of them were absolutely remarkable in the CARE AND ATTENTION and the COMPASSION they gave to their patients. A SUPERIOR hospital because of its AWESOME STAFF: Surgeon Butterfield, Dr. Hussaini; nurses: Bleusy, April, Maria Koni...; Nurses Ass'ts: Ivan, Lisa, Erica; Maintenance: Joe, Milagros, Maria; and the Chaplains. The case workers dropped the ball when the discharge was finalized but I believe that Mimi and Christina had been genuinely and earnestly trying to get me to the right rehab. I finally wound up in the rehab that would be as equal in superior quality as this hospital, AdventHealth Care Center Orlando East at 250 Chickasaw Trail. AGAIN...it's about the STAFF that makes this hospital SUPERIOR! My sincerest thanks to you all!

The ER staff and the staff on the floor were extremely courteous and professional and really listened to my concerns. Very attentive to my needs. Everyone had a wonderful bedside manner.

I have had the opportunity to have two elderly parents in this hospital, I am always appreciative of the excellent care that is dispensed here. The staff is caring and professional. It is a well ran hospital in spite of the people that go here and leave bad reviews. It is a hospital, health care is difficult and people expect the hospital to cure years of bad decisions. Your health is your responsibility The negative reviews are typical of people that don't have health insurance and use the ER as their personal doctors office. Some people believe that this is a luxury hotel, it is not. They are here to help you heal not be your servant. if there is a long wait it is tough. Be thankful that you have a hospital to go to.

Mind Water

Got there at 11am with extreme abdominal pain and wasn't taken to the back until 4pm. No explanation. Waited another 30 mins finally I said I guess I'm not important. Nurse didn't care gave me a paper to sign to leave. Went to Dr Phillips hospital today 11 am and was discharged by 2:30 Staff friendly, informative, attentive and apologized for delays which were hardly any. Your emergency staff didn't care about My well being. I'm disappointed. I live on Goldenrod and Curry Ford. I drove all the way to Dr. Phillips because I remember how AWESOME they were ❣️Take notes and I'll NEVER come back EVER! TAKE NOTES FROM DR.PHILLIPS YOUR HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

My ER visit here a few years ago was awful. In an emergency, try downtown at ORMC.

aahniyah thomas

Went to the hospital after just being in a car accident, told them about my head, they did nothing. Boyfriend jaw is popping out of place, she said all his teeth clamps down right so nothing feels broken because he could open and close his mouth, and said it MAYBE strained. That’s fine, how about we get some x-rays and catscans to know exactly what happened? Literally sent us home with muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatory medications. Staff was friendly, but that’s about it.

Amanda Rios

From reception to discharge everyone was so nice and attentive to my issue. Always making sure I had what I needed and leaders making sure I was being treated with dignity and respect. All my nurses on 5 West were amazing. Nothing negative. My nurses Jaqui, Sarah, Maritza, Sammie, Katie, Marcene, Olga, and Tech Quelty, are amazing.

Mark Harper

My mother in-law is currently admitted to Advent Health East Orlando (3/15/2019) with Alzheimer’s disease and cannot communicate along with other complications. The nurses on duty have been great and very kind. The problem is on 3/18/19 we noticed two necklaces had been removed from her neck and are now missing. I spoke with security and requested them to check lost and found in hopes they were removed when she went to x-ray. Instead of helping the security was rude and would not listen to my request. Now we have to get Police involved and all security had to do is be somewhat helpful as the necklaces were a gift from her late husband and her grandson. Very disappointed, lesson learned!!! Once this review was completed along with other complaints the items were returned. Thanks for finally helping.

Patti Hoyt

Very friendly, clean and knowledgeable

In 2018 we have medical procedures so advance that you can change the sex of a person but you mean to tell me this place and the one on mills cant figure out why im suffering from severe stomach pains and vomiting and diarrhea!?!? They did a cat scan n that's it throw their hands up n give up. I want to know what's wrong and have this problem fixed. I guess v the doctors figure since I already have kidney disease (I'm on dialysis) I can also handle living with this problem. Incompetent fools...

Maddie Balmer

If there was less than one star I would be giving it to them. They dont even deserve half. I came in with a deep dog bite and they brought me back within 10 minutes... This was great. As soon as I got back into a room, they told me they were worried about inefection, and then left me for an hour and 45 minutes with no contact whatsoever. No one cleaned my wound, they just disappeared while I was bleeding. Then, when I got fed up and decided that I'd go to an urgent care I told them I didn't want treatment and would be leaving, they told me they were going to charge me for everything whether or not I got treatment because everything had already been ordered. Then I was there for another hour waiting on everything. No one knew where anything was and - let me stress - the emergency room WAS NOT BUSY. The whole experience was terrible. The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a hospital. Will never go back, no matter what.

Gita Prihatini

The staffs are great. They’re super friendly and very accommodating. Will help you out for any concerns that you might have and for some reason everyone feel like a family ❤️

Cheyenne Casteel

I am appalled at the lack of care and professionalism by the “doctor” that was assigned to me. When she came in my room the for the first time, she was unconcerned with any tests, having me see a specialist, or managing pain. She immediately left the room and told them to discharge me and they still had no idea what was wrong! I was still in pain even while they had me on morphine and she tried to send me home with Tylenol and medicine they already knew made my symptoms worse. She is obviously young and inexperienced, but there is no excuse for letting her handle real patients. If you absolutely have no choice but to go to AdventHealth East, I just hope to save you the trouble of being assigned Kimberly Mohar, who did nothing for me and tried to get me out of the hospital as soon as possible for no reason.

jose g Pickard

Poor slow services I do not know what happened to this hospital and staff in the past was 5 stars plus now I do not give them a single star. The waiting room in er the broken seats staff with attitude

My 73 year old father went in on Wednesday 4/11/2018 to the ER with pain in his arm, shoulder, elbow, and wrist. They gave him pain meds and antibiotics and still showed no signs of improvement. They did an MRI and also a work order to drain the liquid from his wrist to see exactly what was going on. They did the MRI but took 2 days to review it and the work order for the wrist NEVER got done. When I ask the nurse on Saturday why it was never done and just sat there for 2 days she didn’t have an answer. She said she would look into it but turns out they don’t do it in the weekend and have to wait for Monday. Come Sunday 4/15 they discharged him still in pain. Monday night he as for us to take him back to the ER and the doctors refuse to admit him. They pump him up in pain meds and that’s it. We still don’t know what’s causing the pain and it’s now in his leg to the point he can’t walk! This hospital just put band aids on major issues and send you on your way. Malpractice lawsuit waiting to happen for negligence. Back in 2016 they failed to diagnoses me with Bells plays when my face was half peralized. Go to Orlando Health or Dr.Phillips where they actually care for their patients. Yes I am putting a major complaint.

Joe Landor

Service was incredible, we went 3:20 And leave 4:25 we attend both my wife And our bby..... Just amazing

Alba Cintron

My sister recently had surgery the staff very pleasant, friendly and constantly asking if we needed anything great service.

carl cheshire

Drive the extra five/ten minutes to another hospital. My wife received the worst care I have ever seen in my life and I used to be a paramedic/firefighter.

Jill S.

Terrible the staff does not communicate from the nurse to the doctor. They need TQM or six sigma to fix their problems. I was warned not to go there, I should have listened!!!!!!

Johana Marin

I like this hospital they take care my daughters very good and fast everytime that i go to e.r
