In here with my grandson and being ignored by damn near every person working here except registration. Had to ask the nurse for some pain meds for him and a half hour later...still nothing

On Saturday morning 3/16 I was having a major heart attack. My wife took me to the ER. Within 30min. I was being operated on. Dr. Sardi and his team was wonderful. I was awake throughout the whole operation, they made me feel so comfortable, making sure I was OK every minute of the operation. With all the pain that I was indeering, they all were very supportive. After the operation, I was transported to ICU .There I was taking care of by a great team of nurses. I owe my life to everyone at Easton hospital and Dr. Sardi and his team. Thank you all so much. Joe Kent

Misdiagnosed my son's broken foot sent him out without even an ace bandage..less then 3 hours later took him to an ortho because it was black and they looked at disc of his xray from hospital and saw clear as day a severe fracture and because he was left to walk on it it ended up worse and he needed surgery and by time he was able to see a surgeon the ligament between bones was so damaged that surgery was more intense...then I was misdiagnosed and mistreated

Brought my wife here with pains in her lower abdomen set here for 9 hours just for them to read the results of her CAT scan slow place ce here to die and a a large bill they be good for that

This place is horrible. I was sent their by my local urgent care for a potentially life threatening infection. Waited 2 hours and was never seen by a doctor so I left and went to Anne Arundel in Annapolis. Worst part is there was no one in the waiting room at the ER when I arrived and still couldn't get any service. This is a good place to go if you want to die!

Lacy Savage

The doctors and nurses were very kind and friendly

I’ve had both hips replaced at Joint Replacement Center. The care was excellent. All the staff were very attentive to my needs. They gave more than expected. As a former RN this was first class care. As the 4 stars: the bed and mattress as well as room was inoperative and defective. It didn’t effect my care only comfort.

Elle Prince

This is the 2nd worst hospital experience I have had and this time it's with me. I work in the healthcare field and this is a place jacho should come surprise visit. The HIPPA is bad I was triaged and I could read everyone's name on the computer in the ER and why they were there. I was put in the "psych" area where the door has no way of being opened from the inside so when registration came the room next to me could hear everything. The room was not cleaned when they brought me back and I had to stand there and wait for the nurse to come clean it. The nurses are all just standing around laughing and no one has come to check on me. I have been waiting for over and hour and still no one has come, I am glad I am not passed out or not breathing because I don't think I would have been found. The room next to me the pt left a long time ago and the room still has not been cleaned. Next time I will take the drive to either Anne Arundel or PRMC. I was here a few weeks ago with a neighbor who fell who is in his 90s and was brought in by EMS and when I came back to sit with him they had him on a commode in a random room. He was having trouble breathing and when they took his vitals his heart rate was fast and there was no concern about getting him on a stretcher and doing an ekg and we had been there for over 30min. Not to mention it took them a while to get a stretcher when there was one outside the room and then we had to wait longer for the room to be cleaned. This guy should have been on a stretcher had an ekg and a cat scan done within 30min of his arrival being that he fell and hit his head and on certain meds that cause concern for bleeding. I can tell you I will not be returning to this Hospital for anything in the future.

Not sure on the rest of the hospital but the birthing center was OUTSTANDING! Very tenative to baby and mom. Very understanding to how she wanted to give birth. Very supportive both before and after birth. Nice large birthing suites. Nurses and midwife we're very knowledgeable. I really can't say enough good things about having my second son here. Just awesome.

Theresa Romm

This place is freaking horrible! If I was a gun shot victim in their parking lot I'd ask to be taken to Cambridge or Annapolis!

Dorothy Burchfield

Caring, loving staff and great food. If only I could move in. Hop surgery yesterday.

Completely awful experiences, I've been here over 5 times for my wife's issue and each time they tell me they do not know what to do and to just come back when it gets worse. It keeps getting worse, we keep coming back, they do the same speech each time and tell us just come back if it gets worse. This final time we tried to be as blunt as possible and state "it has gotten worse, we have been here and though this already, the doctor said come back so now we are" a nurse finally comes in, only to ask us if we've ever been there before, we repeat the same symptoms, and they tell us the same thing again then leaves. Completely insane. They then proceeded to blow out her vein trying to take blood samples, after she replied "ow, it felt you blew the vein," the nurse simply told her no and that she was fine. The vein is now insanely bruised. At that point, I snapped and said "we need to be somewhere else right now if we can't get attention immediately" to which the nurse said "okay, this is the last thing I need right now anyways" The health of my wife is the most important thing in the world to me. This hospital thinks differently, that her health doesn't matter.

Worst hospital. Id rather drive to Annapolis then here (and they are only a block away) wait for 3 hrs and never see anyone is crazy. Glad my kid just felt like he couldnt breath. Instead of truly not being able to.

Matthew Coyle

This hospital has rather long ER wait times for being in a rather small town. Most times I've been to the ER there are not that many people there but there can be incredibly long waits for some reason. The staff is a mix, some nurses are very kind and caring, but others clearly do not care or they do not know what they are doing. The same goes for the doctors. I am no expert in medical technology, but it seems that a lot of stuff here is quite outdated compared to other hospitals I've been to. When my grandmother came here for an emergency, the staff had sent her back to a nursing home behind our backs without trying to help her. I think the worst thing I've seen them do is send a dying old woman back out to the ER waiting room to make room for a woman with light burns who clearly wasn't suffering. I guess they were thinking that she would die anyway or something. I would recommend going to another hospital, like Anne Arundel Medical Center, unless it's an absolute emergency.

My husband just had his hip replaced 6 weeks ago, and another major surgery 10 weeks ago at Easton Hospital. For both procedures, we had nothing but an outstanding experience at this hospital. They are efficient, courteous, quick, care about their patients and professional. They keep the patient and their family informed about everything going on - during the surgeries they were in constant contact with those waiting for the outcome to quell anxiety. The care of the nurses (especially in the 4th floor orthopeadic section) was better than we could have ever wishes for. We would not hesitate to recommend this hospital.

This hospital is a joke. my baby was born at this hospital and did not even have her lungs cleaned out after having a first night of coughing and spitting up. Baby had a lung infection and had raised blood levels. They ran multiple tests to find what was wrong in two days and they ended coming to a conclusion that he couldn't find anything wrong with our newborn. Wanted us to wait a day to get transfer to the nicu. We immediately requested a transfer and glad we did because the baby was diagnosed in a day with a lung infection by the nicu. Won't recommend anyone to this place, a serious risk to keeping people alive

Benjamin Burrows

In the damn lobby of emergency room in pain for over two and half hours! No communication, no information and not a soul in site! Pretty bad hospital so far. This hospital is where emergency room patients come to die!

Valerie Fluharty

My daughter, kristen has been here for 7 hours and have not got a doctor to respond to test results. Very unacceptable and rude. We asked twice with no response. Worse service ever experienced. Anne Arundel medical center is defenately more professional .

OMG!! The negative reviews are true. I’m not sure what the day shift is like, but the night crew is run by rejects. Worst of all, the blood draws were absolutely a torture and these people had no idea what they were doing. Poked, and poked and finally got a draw. Would move the needle around inside instead of just removing the tornitiqet to allow blood flow. Oh get this, the doctor left and never gave us an update. Nurse came in and said”you’re still here after 10hrs in the ER. Whatever you do, don’t take your love ones here!!!!!!! Ever! The place appears dirty, room was never cleaned before we entered. I never saw a cleaning staff in those 10hrs.. Really!

Horrible experience. This is the worst hospital I have been in. My husband was brought here for a biopsy after finding he had cancer in his liver while in Chestertown Hospital. I had no idea who his doctor was. The doctors had no idea who he was or why he was there. They all use hositalists and these are just doctors who walk in a room. We asked one doctor (who we never saw again a question about his diagnosis and the doctor said he was only here to treat his pneumonia. No one told us he had pneumonia. In fact there was only one doctor we saw more than once. No one told us how sick my husband was. He had come to Chestertown Hospital about 1 week ago and we thought it was a heart problem. One doctor told us he had liver cancer which had metastised but they didn't know from where. The next day a doctor came in and sat with us after doing an endoscope and said there was cancer in his stomach and we should just him for for his last days. It is like a horror story. The nurses showed no compassion and gave us little attention and my husband wad dying. His backside was so raw he kept saying how it hurt. I turned him over and was horrified. He was so raw he was bleeding. He was not kept clean and I was the one who noticed a rash on his wrist which as hidden under three wrist tags and said it looked like shingles. The nurse said you don't get shingles on your wrist. Well it was shingles. They moved him to the cancer unit I assumed. The room, the entire floor was DIRTY and they still didn't keep hi clean. They discharged him on a Thursday after a trial treatment and had no idea where he was going. We were able to get him into a rehab that evening because Hospice became involved. The nurses or workers never even helped getting him dressed and out of bed. Nor did they ask about or care about transportation to the rehab. We never saw a doctor and no instructions were given. This was on Thursday Jan.4, 2018. He died in the rehab on Jan. 7, 2018 and we have yet to have a doctor contact us. I don't think I need to put y opinion down if you read this. I do want to say another thing. The nurses and staff were rude and uncaring. This experience from Chestertown Hospital to Easton Hospital was a nightmare I willnever get over. It was like I brought him to Chestertown Emergency room and he ate something poisonous and died within 2 1/2 weeks.

An educated consumer is not their best customer. Ask them no questions, they will tell you no lies. If you don't ask, they won't tell. They are so wrong in so many ways, too numerous to mention. Good at pulling the okie doke, back peddling, evading answering questions you ask, by deflecting and telling you about things you didn't ask. An educated person who knows their way around the system, asks and demands appropriate answers to questions, holds them accountable, etc. etc. is their worst nightmare. Human kind...human but not kind. God help you when you bring your elderly, medically frail loved one here. In bed with big Pharma? Upon discharge, my Dad had 2 hospital doctors prescribed nasal sprays that were practically full. My Dad was coming home via ambulance, so I spoke with several staff members who assured me that EVERYTHING would be packed up. Of course that did not happen. A call to the nurse's station, just to confirm what I already knew; the medicines were discarded. But get this! Prescriptions had been called in to his pharmacy for the exact same medications. Things that make you say, "Hmmm what's that about?" How many times a day, a week, a month, a year does that happen? Who benefits? Who does it hurt?

John L. Davis

I came here today for a torn ligament in my knee. Good experience and nurses and attendants were great. The doctor however looked like a homeless woman who asked questions but never listened to answers. What was that? Good thing I was in and out. 4 stars for quick.

Have a autoimmune disease was transferred to here from Chestertown Shore Medical Center. 15 days as a inpatient 4th floor neuro to advanced rehabilitation on the 5th floor. All aspects of care excelled from housekeeping to doctors Could spend all day raving about the excellent care, courtesy, compassion and professionalism I have received there. From my personal experience I would have to say that any negative comment would have to be the patients doing and not the staff, or a very few and far between negative encounter with a staff member

Came to the hospital with my father from his oncologist with explicit orders to be directly admitted because of his feeding tube issues. Sat in the waiting room/ER for 7 hours getting the run around about how we couldn't simply be admitted, regardless of his doctor's orders, to not even SEE a doctor the entire time. Walked out AMA. ONLY after we insisted to be discharged did ANY nurse want to take time for us to convince us to stay until they could straighten the issue out. No thanks, you took enough of our money for nothing. If you actually NEED medical attention, avoid this hospital like there are plague patients quarantined here.

This is a place to go if you want terrible service. The nurses stand around laughing while people are waiting to get treated.

My father had a brain tumor removed at this hospital. As far as I know the brain surgeon did a really good job. But during his recovery the neurological wing was an actual nightmare and I feared for my dad to recover there. He shared a room with another man who from what I heard was in there for awhile. My dads roommate was moaning and in deep distress for hours. No nurse came in to check in with him until my mother stepped out to say something to a nurse. When my mom said something to the nurse the nurse just responded with "oh he's always like that!" and still didn't check in with him for another 2 hours! Basically once shift changed happened did someone see this man who was crying out and in so much pain. Once the new nurse came in she checked this mans diaper. Threw his pooped filled diaper in a regular trash can, didn't take the trash out until we said something. Lied to us saying she didn't throw the poop out in the trash. Even though we saw her do it. The man is still crying in pain and she dismisses it. 15 mins later the man has a stoke! I believe his lack of care could have attributed to him having a stroke. And my poor father is right next this man under the care of the same shitty nurses. I was scared to leave him alone. I had to remind the nurses to give my father his seizure meds. We trust these people to take care of our loved ones in the moments when they're are most vulnerable. This place is dirty and I'm not sure if the nurses lack care, have too many patients to do their jobs properly or what. I also watched the nurse throw wet naps covered in poop and pee on the floor so she could more effientaly clean her patient. I was so disturbed at the lack of safety and care that was happening here. I'm happy my dad made it out ok. And I hope other people think twice before bringing their loved ones here. If your loved ones do come here I suggest you make as much time as possible to be there with them so you can make sure they get their medicine. That is absurd that one would need to do this but honestly this place is just a nightmare.

Saved my husbands life repeatedly! Did my gall bladder removal two months ago. But the five stars belong to Liz the sweet lady that delivers room service! She's the nicest person in the whole hospital and could teach bedside manors to all the staff.

Jocelyn Granados

Came in with my sister who was having heart pain and we were told the doctor would be in to see her in 2 hours 5 hours later he/she never came and in those 5 hours only saw the nurse once or twice just terrible. Left without being seen.

Barbara Mudd

My dad cut his shin with a chainsaw. First our nurse couldn't give us a wait time. The receptionist said there were 3 doctors On with no chance of a wait time. There were 3 people in the waiting room and supposedly ambulances were coming in (zero sign of an emergency). After 2 hours without any sign of an actual doctor we decided to leave and go to Choice One Urgent Care. The shore medical center is ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. DO NOT even TRY going there first. If only zero stars were an option

Logan Sinclair

I lost my son to these pathetic excuses go to prmc. it happened in 2015.worst worst place ever!

Devin Trinkley

The visit has been great except for the nurse. Susie , RN was assigned as the nurse and even after 2 hours we had not met her. We believe she may have walked in once but had a scowl on her face and never said a word. The PA was in to see us multiple times, the radiology tech was in and the PCT was amazing. Overall the visit was good but we received absolutely no nursing care. Being in the healthcare field..nursing specifically...this should never have happened. I would hope no one else recieves this kind of care and if by chance you have this nurse expect no kind of nursing care.

Carol Craig

I spent a week inpatient with pneumonia and asthma. The staff was great. They were very caring and made me feel very comfortable. They checked on me several times a day and made sure I didn’t anything. I was very satisfied with my treatment and care that I received while I was at Easton Hospital. Thank you to all of the staff that took care of me.
