My grandfather was Diagnosed with so many problems in his body along with fluid & we went to Kent general in the ICU and they pulled the fluid off his body but other problems arose so he was sent to PCU , they diagnosed him with heart failure & kidney failure & there was no hope . They wanted to then send him to hospice or at home to die . But then finally there was one final option and that was to be sent to select (this place I’m writing the review for) where we are still as of 2/19 at with my poppop for him to be treated . He seems to be getting better by the grace of God and the wonderful staff EVERYDAY! THANK GOD for a beautiful staff such as the staff here at select (st Francis) . -The Quail family

I spent two weeks at Select Specialty in Wilmington in January of 2018. I found the staff to be the very friendly and helpful. The rooms are private and very clean and the hospital very quiet at night. The physical therapy staff was awesome and help me greatly. I would highly recommend Select for rehabilitation needs. Absolutely the worst place you could imagine! The nurses are unresponsive and uncaring. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Monica Williams

I came here 7 days ago and the care has been excellent! The Chief Nurse Michelle is amazing and Jimmy the DIrector of Business Development and Karen the Clinical Liaison were extremely helpful prior to coming here and explaining what kind of care I would receive. The nursing staff has been very pleasant and helpful during my stay here. I did experience a few issues but they were addressed in a timely manner and the issues were resolved and followed up on by Michelle the Chief Nurse and Jimmy- I highly recommend this place!

I have been at Select for approximately 30 days for pancreatic abscess . I would like to thank my primary doctor/ surgeon Dr Metrivelli and all the other doctors that helped me through this process. I also want to thank the nurses and CNA,s who took care of me during this difficult time. I also want to thank all the departments involved in my recovery. I do sincerely thank the staff at Select for contributing to my recovery and being there for me when I needed it the most. These are my true angels who stuck by me through the ups and downs of my ordeal. Sincerely with all my heart, I want to thank all of you and I will miss you all. Wilfred Dorothea

My father was placed there after leaving Christiana. After 4 weeks there he was sent to rehab. The case manager asked where we wanted him to go. I said Cadia in Pike Creek. Case manager said that they don't accept tracheotomy patients that have not had traech in for at least 6 months. Also said no beds were available. So we asked for Cadia in Middletown. Upon arrival Cadia manager asked for the respiratory Specialists from Pike Creek to come and examine my father. Muhammad was the specialist. He said Dad's cap on a strike was all plugged up. Said he had a bed waiting at Pike Creek but that the manager said we wanted him at Middletown. Manager At cadia also said that he should not have been discharged from select in the condition he was in. They asked if they could transfer him to Cadia in Pike Creek.

Very nice people n very good place to stay I did not mind here at all only thing I would like to see change is the people seem very overworked n I think they need more help here but otherwise nurses and staff were very pleasant I could just tell that they are overloaded .

On advice of surgeon I made the transfer of my wife to select specialty hospital in St. Francis, Wilmington. Due to complications from surgery remaining at an acute treat and street hospital was not in the best interest of my wife. The goal of select was to serve as a bridge from post surgery to either home or temporary nursing facility for further rehabilitation when appropriate. The course of recovery was complicated but progressed at an appropriate pace. The staff showed dedication and competence and a team effort was truly apparent from executive level to housekeeping. Requests were met with cheerful compliance. This is the appropriate facility filling the gap in the current health care continuum. I gladly recommend this facility .
