Comments related to Parking Garage issues: I had an appointment at Riddle Hospital with a physician in Health Center 2 building. I drove into the entrance looking for the building and followed the signs that said Health Center 2, 3, 4. The first thing I saw as I rounded the curve following their signs was a garage opposite the Out Patient Pavilion. I then followed the road all away and wound up back the front door still looking for Health Center 2, 3, 4. Out of desperation, I parked at the garage across from Health Center 1 and entered the building hoping Centers 2, 3, and 4 would be there also…. No luck! I am a senior who has great difficulty walking at the time and now I have walked from the parking lot into the building and back and still could not find the correct Center. I then drove back again to the next garage that was opposite the Out-Patient Pavilion. Out of desperation, I entered the Out-Patient building and I asked where Health Centers 2, 3, and 4 were. An employee said, “sorry… it’s here but there are no signs”. I am shocked that a hospital as old as Riddle does not have the proper signs out. All your garages should say, “Visitors Parking for Health Care 1, 2, 3, or 4….etc. Your Out-Patient building should also display “Out Patient Pavilion/Health Centers 2, 3, 4. I wasted 20 minutes looking for the correct garage.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My aunt received horrible treatment from the Palliative Care Unit The doctor, if I can call her that, was brusque, uncaring , unempathic, spent no time with the patient, not even bothering to gown when she stepped into the room for all of four minutes. She was not overworked, either , because she spent the next 20 minutes loudly socializing about personal business at the nursing station . Overall, the Palliative Care Unit was negative, dismissive, and insensitive. I should note that, against their expectations, my aunt recovered. I am amending my living will. Should I find myself at Riddle, I wish no involvement from that unit. They are not healers. I would welcome an opportunity to further discuss.

They did a wonderful job with me on both of my surgeries the hospital is amazing

Debra Stanley-Childs

I had the best experience at riddle starting off with the Colon and Rectal Surgery Ltd Dr Samir Parikh and the surgical scheduler Melissa were very warm kind and patient with myself and 85 year old aunt, but it did not stop there every one I encountered was so nice kind and professional , not knocking any other hospital but I will use Riddle hospital hands down this was my first time, if ever I need medical attention or my husband trust me it will be here all I can say is all of the staff I came in contact with it was a pleasure . While waiting for the family member to finish surgery they have some to keep you updated plus the computer in waiting area very great experience

T1G Setsukko

Absolutely horrible experience. Watching staff argue on phone with significant other, crying. 4 hours waiting never to see a Dr, total time explaining my son's injury 1 min. Another 30 minutes waiting for my son to get a immobilizer after taking him out of his. Ridiculous service.

Tom Babcock

A very nice hospital that is easy to get to off of RT 1/Baltimore Pike. Even the cafeteria food is decent.

Jennifer Corbo

Brought my daughter here and she ended up staying for three days. We couldn't be more happy with the staff. They were attentive and knowledgeable. They took very good care of her. Food was pretty good as well.

Firstly, I want to start by saying I am a Respiratory Therapist. I was in Mermont treatment center to detox from Ativan. This is a benzodiazepine and if you stop suddenly you can have a seizure. I had a severe allergic reaction to one of the meds they gave me and was covered in hives from head to toe. I felt as though my airway was being affected. As a Respiratory Therapist, I know how quickly an airway can close. So, I was taken to Riddle Hospital. They treated me horrible. The Dr was so rude! He didn't even come near me. He didn't look at my throat or body. He said, you don't need to be here, they can treat you at mermont. I felt as though he was judging me. The least they could have done is given me a steroid for allergic reaction. I would absolutely never recommend this hospital.

My mother had been admitted to Riddle. I had never heard of this hospital and did not know how to get there. I was coming from out of state so I called the nurses station and was given directions. The nurse stayed on the phone with me until I pulled up to the hospital. She displayed Excellent Customer Services. I was impressed with the staff and their willingness to be helpful to me and my family as we visited our mother (C. Webb). I can't remember the nurses name right now but I will call and ask for her name and revise this update. However, I just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the staff at Riddle Hospital and Dr. DG is one of the Best!!!!!!! Sincerely Submitted.

Lori Schwartz

We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff of Riddle Memorial Hospital who gave such amazing care to our son. This was our first time at this hospital and we were so impressed with the individual care we were given. From the escort back and forth to the patient registration area, to the constant check ups during pre-op, it was just top notch! Every employee showed kindness, caring and professionalism. Our son was in excellent care at your hospital. Thank you for putting patient care a priority. We are so grateful.

Came in through ambulance but when my lawyer call to get a swers on the company name, in my documents they have that I came by personal transport. They must not know the little things that they do can effect people bug time because here I am happen to continue to call them and I'm getting all different answers. Very frustrating

Switched to this hospital this year. Tried to get multiple appointments in the past few weeks. The call center is EXTREMELY incompetent. They actually laughed at me over the phone when I was trying to see someone after I was hit by a car and having difficulties getting the insurance of the driver that hit me. Almost understandable, right? Set up an appointment and went in only to get turned away. There's one day off for nothing. I'm currently trying to see a dermatologist and need a referral according to Aetna but apparently you also need an establishing patient visit? ....Except that they aren't open until August and they're during business hours(less to be honest). Basically I need another random day off work so I can take another day off just to say hi, you have my file and there's nothing wrong with me for Riddle to check out? That's basically stopping by to say hi. Their ray of hope is you go with the new doctor or a nurse practitioner. (Why is anyone paying for insurance again?). Unfortunately, I would be more comfortable talking about things with a woman and also preferably not have to take off work for 'establishing' anything. Seriously, August when it's currently May? Ultimately, this hospital cares a little too much about themselves rather than their patients or relationships. I get that to an extent for certain things but at this point it's pretty petty and one sided. Also, seeing that a majority of the good reviews are sketchy looking, that should tell you something in itself. They're so shoddy in service that I'll actually be willing to pay out of pocket somewhere better until my company's insurance signup comes again. It will literally be less time, money and disappointment.

In regards to Dr.KITCHEN, I have to disagree with Mr.Sekel! I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Dr.Kitchen. I personally think he is absolutely amazing! He took care of my husband and my daughter on two separate occasions and was phenomenal, he definitely knew what he was talking about and both of husband and daughter were feeling much better when he was done with them! He had great bedside manner and i have worked in an ER for a very long time, I remember saying to my husband " I wish there were more physicians like Dr.Kitchen"! God bless you and I hope you stay well! I think riddle is a wonderful hospital ! There are some Labor and Delivery nurses they could do without ? The rest of the hospital is absolutely amazing and for the most part the labor and delivery nurses are fabulous except for that handful that make it quite obvious they don't want to be there? I was a first time mom and NO one even showed me how to breast-feed? I had to ask a coworker ? I would've learned before hand but was told I would be taught at the hospital which was not the case!

I went to Riddle ER today. My family doctor actually sent me as it was a serious issue. My disappointment is that the doctor never came in to see me. I was taken to a room right away and was only seen by nurses the entire 3 hours I was there. Had multiple tests done, ekg, chest X-ray, cat scan, bloodwork. All these tests needed and the Doctor NEVER EVEN SAW ME! When I asked the nurse said Dr Kitchen was busy. Well this unacceptable Riddle. Maybe I will contact JACO and the attorney generals office. I am also informing my insurance company as we pay to be seen by a doctor.

Dina McGillan

Worst 6 hours ever! The ER was no help to my son and wasted a room on him when they should have discharged us or not even allowed us to be registered given they could not help him. Outcome was to be referred to another bad facility.

DO NOT GO HERE. I have tried over and over and over again to give Riddle a chance. I had a horrible ER experience a couple of years ago. Went there because my asthma flared up. Get there, they make me wait, finally get me back, listen to my heart, take my blood pressure and my temperature and send me home. A few hours later, my mother came and got me and took me to Penn Medicine all of the way in Philly and they provided breathing treatments, scanned me for pneumonia, just a totally different level of service. Riddle still managed to send me a $900 bill for NOTHING, so I will never go to their ER even though they're a little more than five minutes away from where I live. Now, i'm trying to give their OBGYN office a try and I am going to have to go back to the doctor that I had in Delaware. The people at the front desk....unprofessional, ghetto, attitudinal. The office is not clean by any means....I just can't imagine having a baby at this hospital. It's just not going to happen.....Riddle should be closed down!

Treat your patient and not cause them more pains please her leg is hurt stop causing her more pains...

Angelique Porter

Worst experience here for their ER and I've been there multiple times before. Went in and took 5 hours to get seen by a doctor. The nurse, Cindy, tried to insert an IV while on the phone and with the lights off. They had to get another nurse because she put it in wrong and was very painful. They also didn't fully check my test results and called me a week later to fill an antibiotic that I went days without. Next time I'll just drive the extra 10 minutes to Crozer.

Went to er and was treated wonderfully by check in,guards, nurses and doctors. If you ever want to find the nicest people in the world, they are here.

I will change my star review when and if I hear a return call from patient advocate. From previous experience, it doesn't hold much promise.

Unless you have money and damned good insurance, worst place to go. Expect to be mistreated, especially if you choose to show any signs of intelligence in regard to what is wrong with your own body.

ER visit yesterday (Sunday) Whoever answered the phone before going in was nice, intake person was nice. Professional. Wheelchair was shabby. Then it went all downhill. Intake orderly, or nurse, or whatever - I couldn't read his badge, was unprofessional in so many ways. The PA was disappointing, the nurse or whoever upon discharging was just OK. The X-Ray techs seemed were good. Doctor? No doctor. Sorry. I expected more.

MY MOTHER WAS TAKEN TO RIDDLE AFTER A MASSIVE STROKE, THE CARE SHE RECEIVED WAS EXCELLENT. SHE WAS TAKEN THERE ON SAT. N PASSED AWAY EARLY MONDAY AM, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BUT MAKE HER COMFORTABLE N CLEAN. WE STAYED THERE IN THE ROOM WITH HER SOMETIMES ALL 5 OF US. THE NURSES COULDNT HAVE BEEN NICER TO US,WE WERE OFFERED ANYTHING WE WANTED TO EAT,DRINK N BETTER CHAIRS. THEY ASKED IF WE NEEDED BLANKETS OR PILLOWS. THE WHOLE TIME THEY WERE ALSO GIVING OUR MOTHER THE BEST CARE THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN.WE WERE ONLY ASKED TO LEAVE THE ROOM SO THEY COULD REPOSITION HER N CHANGE HER. THEY WERE THE BEST YOU COULD ASK FOR IN EVERYWAY. THEY BRUSHED HER HAIR , USED CHAPSTICK ON HER LIPS N EVEN LOTION ON HER FEET. EVERYTHING TO MAKE HER COMFORTABLE N CLEAN, WE STAYED AROUND THE CLOCK N WERE NEVER ASKED TO LEAVE OR THAT THERE WERE TO MANY OF US. WE WERE EVEN TOLD WE COULD SLEEP ON THE OTHER BED IF WE NEEDED TOO. I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD PRINT THERE NAMES BUT I WILL IN A LETTER TO RIDDLE. GREAT CARE FOR OUR MOTHER N WE WERE THERE TO SEE IT ALL THE FREEBORN FAMILY

Dr Lindholm did absolutely nothing for me. The visit was horrible. I walked in got my nose looked at. I was told I had allergies and that my nose is ugly but my smile was nice

Mr. Tree

Terrible service. I have a bad sprain in my right bicep and they prescribe me children’s medication for pain. They can’t give out opioids because of the addiction problem. I’m not an addict, I’m in pain and this hospital could not do anything for me.

DO NOT GO HERE! My brother went to the emergency room after getting jumped at a concert, and we found out through another doctor that he had suffered a concussion among his other injuries. Riddle did absolutely nothing for him as far as CAT scans or checking for hemorrhaging or structuring damage. they sent him away with tylenol and basically said good luck. Worst patient care ever.

Riddle Hospital is the most amazing hospital. I had my son there 3 years ago and went today with a horrible abdominal pain. They took great care of me and were SO nice and caring. Thank you so much to all the nurses and doctors who work there. The room they have you wait in while waiting for test results is the best too.

Nick Santangelo

The nurses were nice people, but the overall service was crappy. I know this wasn't their fault, but there was a woman in the room next to me who wouldn't shut up about getting a paper cut and they told her to go home multiple times she wouldn't listen. They should have had security kick her out sooner. The ER took FOREVER and all of the rooms were empty.

Jessica Bernstein

Nurses who think it's party time in the middle of the night and wake you up when you're sick and in pain. Most of the nursing staff were excellent....but tonight....loud, argumentative and uncaring that patients are trying to sleep...because they're SICK.

Incorrect diagnosed!!!! I took my dad to Riddle hospital emergency room on Thursday morning. I told them that my dad has not been able to sleep for 3 nights due to shortness of breath. He would wake up coughing and tried to catch his breath. They did blood works and chest xray on my dad. The ER doctor sent my dad home in that same night saying my dad has a nasty cold. The next night my dad's breathing problem got worst. I decided to take my dad to Taylor hospital ER instead. The ER doctor did a CT scan on my dad and find out my dad has blood clot in his lung. He was diagnosed with Pulmonary embolism. Please make sure you exam everything before send the patient home. Your incorrect diagnosed can caused a person's life.

The absolute worst ER experience ever. Brought my boyfriend in today because he was having neurological issues and pain. The first nurse assigned to him had extremely poor bedside manner and was rude any time I had to ask her a question, and then was literally answering phone calls on a cordless phone while putting in his IV. After hours of tests and waiting the doctor comes to tell us they can’t find anything wrong and he needs to follow up with neurology and urology. His pain, which was bad to begin with was worsened by the ultrasound and prodding yet I had to practically beg for him to be given any med stronger than Toradol. Finally the doctor said yes he could give him A shot of something stronger, but an hour later, still nothing. My boyfriend just wanted to leave because it became clear riddle’s emergency department had no help to offer him. We kept being told the copies of his test results were on the way “shortly” an hour later after asking the desk it turns out no one had even put the call in to request them yet. I asked again about the promised pain meds and the doctor claimed he ordered them. Why is it taking so long? A nurse came in and removed his iv but apparently never documented doing so. We ended up leaving without any paperwork or copies of tests and no pain Meds because my boyfriend was now becoming very agitated and couldn’t take sitting there any longer feeling like he was being strung along and clearly not a priority of theirs. None of the staff tried to stop us from leaving or said much of anything as we walked out yet as soon as we left and were driving home someone from Riddle called my cell phone, his cell phone, and his mother’s cell phone wanting to know if his iv was taken out and by whom. Seriously?? The incompetence absolutely blows my mind. I finally got him home only to have riddle call the Aston police on him saying he left AMA with an iv in his arm. This is absolute insanity, a blatant lie, and I cannot wait to speak to someone about this tomorrow. Rude, unprofessional, uncaring and my boyfriends initial issues are much worse than before we visited the hospital.

My father worked as a radiology technician for some time I recall being put in the hospital after having two serious seizures which changed my life, and I ended up spending the weekend. the quality of treatment was great during that time. last year I was helping my grandmother at Boscovs, and she was taken to the Emergency room after a Crockpot box fell on her leg from one of the shelves which resulted in her leg bleeding really bad but the doctors took good care of her to patch her leg up. but overall great hospital

Unapologetic Woman

My grandmother had her hip surgery performed here. She stayed in the regular hospital part of the building, was moved to the transitional care unit, and was then sent home. I have NEVER encountered such a trustworthy and caring hospital staff!!! From the nurses and physical therapy person down to the custodians, all of the employees were so friendly. One of the nurses even brought my mom and I a warm blanket when we said the room was cold! I was very impressed as most health care facilities usually employ rude people, but this place didn't fit that stereotype whatsoever. Not to mention the food was delicious!!!!!! This had to be the best food I've ever tasted from a hospital. Their oven baked chicken tenders were so delicious that they tasted fried, and the French fries were better than most restaurants. Last but not least their pizza was phenomenal!!!!! The cafeteria was also clean, and they play music to keep the mood cheerful. They offer ice cream on Fridays to both patients and visitors in the transitional care section. The whole environment was filled with so much positivity. Staying upbeat is crucial in a place where people are recuperating from illnesses and/or surgeries. I definitely recommend this hospital. Whether you're going for yourself or a family member you will not be disappointed. Keep up the awesome work Riddle staff!!!

Tom Kroh

I had chicken pox for the 1st time at 31. Dr Kitchen said it was a skin injection and refused to give me Valtrex or acyclovir. Just some Vicodin and steroids. Went back the next day because the pox was dangerously close to my eyes. He just wrote for Percocet this time. I didn't want pain medication! I wanted an anti-viral ad that's the standard of care for chicken pox in adults. I ended up having to ask a friend for some of her acyclovir. This place is incompetent.

There is no signage to indicate where health center 3 is located. Once in the comprehensive breast center, there is no signage to indicate a need to sign in. The receptionist saw me walk in while working with a client. I didn’t want to disturb her. Another client came in, A invited her to sign in and took her and another visitor before me. Not a welcoming first visit to this part of Main Line Health Care. Nonetheless, the technician was professional and kind and the valets were wonderful.

Must read .. Hospital and Staff are 5 Stars! Spinal surgery in June of 2019. With a one day notice I needed a revision to my spinal surgery to repair significant issues in my back. The prior doctor made mistakes and the new surgeon was taking immediate action to make things better for me. I was not familiar with the area nor the hospital that the surgery was being performed but I trusted my surgeon. Initially I was concerned because of the reviews posted on Google. However, I felt that reputation of my surgeon he would not operate at a facility that would jeopardize his patients health. I trusted him. I’ve had 4 prior back surgeries and the last one was made even worse because it got infected and required another surgery to cleanse the hardware etc. This would be surgery number 5 for me and I wanted it to be the last one to correct what the other surgeons could not. The surgery was a complete success (fusion) and what’s even better is the staff, nurses, physicians were excellent!! From the moment I checked in (again this was done with one days advance notice) I knew those bad reviews were just the usual complainers that have ridiculous demands of everyone else but themselves. Everyone was extremely nice, patient, courteous, wanting willing and able to assist me with anything that I needed. I could not believe that after reading some very concerning can negative and critical reviews that what I experienced was nothing short of 5 stars from everyone there. I have never taken the time to write a review or a thank you letter previously. However, as someone who’s had several surgeries and many hospital stays I am compelled to offer my own opinion and experience of this very fine facility. The hospital management has to know that the staff is doing a fantastic job there. I mean everyone including the food service team. Example: I forgot to complete the menu for meals because of being so exhausted from surgery. The team were very accommodating in getting me a meal all with a smile and pleasantries knowing how much a good meal means to a person recovering from major surgery. The surgical prep team was outstanding in keeping me informed while also calm. The post surgery team was great as well monitoring my vitals and acknowledging my pain. The care team who continuously monitored and cared for me during my 5 day stay were nothing short of AWESOME!! Riddle Hospital, you have a wonderful team of professionals who truly care about the patients and the work, service they each provide!

I had back surgery on February 13, 2019. A spinal laminectomy and fusion. The surgeon was Jeffrey Rihn, Rothman orthopedics. I was up and walking the next morning, and the terrible right leg pain was GONE!! The physical evaluation was the very next day. Using a walker, I walked from my room to physical therapy. No pain!!! I was able to get into a make shift car unassisted. After I got in they told me I'm not allowed to drive yet, get in the passenger side! I had to laugh. Sure looked like a set up, but it was ok. I was able to get in and out of both sides unassisted. Boy, what a spirit lifting moment that was, despite the post surgical discomfort. I walked up and down stairs without any leg issues. The nurses were all angels. They were patient, kind, compassionate, pleasant and helpful. I can not say enough kind things about them. All of them. I went home in about three to four days. The first 10 to 15 days were tough. The surgical pain was tough, but the leg felt great, and as of today. 7-8-19, I feel great.

Jaleel Robinson

I went to the ER in February. Before being serviced, I asked the staff how much it will cost under my insurance to service me. They were unable to look up this request because there systems were down. The staff told me to wait in the waiting lobby while they tried to figure it out. The staff took me into an ER room to see a doctor and they were still unable to tell me how much I was going to be charged; therefore, I told them I didn’t want to be serviced. After a couple of days later, they still billed me $240 even though I didn’t get serviced. I submitted a claim with my insurance and the hospital about the situation that occurred that night of my visit and this hospital is claiming that I am still responsible for this bill. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not visit this hospital.

Jacqueline Crozier

The nurses in the ER were so professional and nice. They interact with each other with respect and help each other out!

My husband had a procedure which required him to stay overnight at Riddle. From the time we entered the hospital until the time we left it was nothing less than a wonderful experience. After my husband's procedure he was transported to the forth floor. The nurses were very helpful and knowledgeable. Their mannerisms were so giving and kind. They answered my questions and took very good care of my husband checking up on him and even me in fact. They checked his vitals, gave him his meds accurately. I can't say enough about Riddle Hospital except Thank you!

If I have to go to the hospital my first choice is Riddle Hospital. I visit this hospital recently and the young lady at the intake desk was very rude. I was standing on the other side of the desk because she was on the phone. She said do you need help I said yes I need to be checked in and she said you need to come over here. As she was on a call she was trying to process me at the same time can you say HIPPA! I know my name and she trying to change my when I told her several times she then asked for my ID and said my name. I said yes I gave you my name three times even spelling it she proceeded to tell me that not what I said. I am very displeased with the services she provided. She and another staff member was discussing a matter that was inappropriate in front of

NOTE: This rating and review is based only on my experience undergoing a short procedure at Riddle Hospital. Parking is very easy. Short stays of 30 minutes are free, but visitors must pay for longer stays. The hospital is a little difficult to navigate, with a lack of sensible signage to help you find where you need to be. The staff and nurses in registration and the short procedure unit respectively are very attentive and helpful. The quality of care is excellent, and the hospital is clean and welcoming.

I arrived at Riddle at 1:10am to be seen by a nurse who isn't taking my daughters pain serious. I say isn't because I'm still here she has not been seen by a doctor yet it's 5:14. Nurses were seating around joking and eating. The only concern the nurse seems to have is why isn't she sleep yet. I explained that I took her to Crozer Monday and she is still having the same symptoms I called her on call doctor she told me that Crozer could have missed diagnosed her and to rush her to a different hospital, this is my first time here and I will never come back!

Suite 2304 is the most ridiculously slow doctors office I have ever seen. You wait HOURS after your appointment time and the staff is rude and really don't care how long you wait.

Samantha Sendlewski Banyar

I have been visiting Riddle off and on over the past 20 years. Today I am giving a 5-star customer service rating to Riddle and the outpatient check in area. The staff is so warm and friendly, and you can tell they want to make sure everyone is taking care of. The leader/manager goes above and beyond even in times when the facility is super busy. The technicians are sweet and make you feel comfortable. One time I had to go all the way across the hospital and they had a guide escort us. Thank you for all that you do (especially in times that can be extremely anxious or difficult).

Mitch Vidovich

Avoid. Avoid. Nurses were great but the billing overcharges and administration were horrendous. They had a hearing/vision provider on run tests even though they were not in our insurance network. This resulted in a $1600 surprise bill. Then after there was a readmission complication 2 wks later, they still had the audacity to charge us another $1500 even though it was due to their incompetence from the initial delivery.

Sara Feinberg

Staff is very helpful

Came in today for severe abdominal pain . Nurses were very kind even though I was a miserable mess ! I appreciate everyone there . All staff members were nice . The ladies who did my CT scan were great ! Nancy the woman who did my MRI was so kind ! Thank you everyone

Their employment system is very flawed. Very much so. I wouldn't recommend getting your hopes up for this place. I have qualifications and experience. The interview went great, they emailed me telling me I wasn't qualified for the job, if I wasn't I wouldn't have gotten an interview.

Carol Henry

Totally disappointed...Having a baby (mother or father) should be a happy moment from admission to discharge. My (son) daddy of newborn was treated below standard...never asked if he needed anything for the 3 night stay. No blanket first night (nurse) on duty said they were out of them. A hospital out of blankets??? Thats a big issue. Asked for a chair or bed to sleep in...We are out of them...sorry...not heartfelt whatsoever! Totally understand "the insurance" only covers the mother but the experience in all should of been a happy one for both parties! I wouldnt of believed it until i was there to experience the ignorance of one nurse. UNEXCEPTABLE Caitlyn! Nursing should be a compassionate field ....totally disappointed in the experience here in the maternity ward..FYI new daddy's... dont ask questions, bring a blanket and pillow, food, and possibly something to sleepon!

I spent r\4 days at Riddle in March. Having no experience with Riddle, I read reviews and was somewhat concerned based on a number of negative comments. The nurses, techs, maintenance, and PT staff could not have been more helpful and gracious during my stay. I can't say enough good things about the culture that manifested itself in the high level of service I received. Bob Grim, Macungie, Pa

GREAT hospital I've been to others but they couldn't figure out why I'm in so much pain until I came here in emergency room! Nurse Gopal and Dr. Pasdon are the best! thank you so much.

I must say I'm shocked to see these bad review. I love riddle hospital. I have 2 other hospital closer to my house and prefer to drive the extra distance to be seen there. I had my gallbladder out a few years back and they were nothing but kind to me. I've also been to the ER a few times and was seen and treated in a timely matter. I am currently seeing Dr white for my prenatal Care and plan on delivering there. Always a comforting experience. Thank you!

I had a shoulder replacement surgery almost four weeks ago.... Then visited the ER a couple of times for pain ...all what I can say about the staff in this hospital that they are the best I have ever seen in my whole entire Iife... I can recall the name of each and every angel who took care of me and spared no effort whatsoever to make me feel better and alleviate my pain .. Thanks to every wonderful human being working in Riddle Hospital..god bless

Ellyn mcgurk

charge me 800 for 4 stitches hope you feel good about that grimy

As a physician who works out of this location and community member this is my hospital. When my mother needs her mammogram we head to Riddle. When I need blood work or and x-ray, Riddle is the location to conveniently access the best in routine healthcare which is about 95%+ of healthcare.

Dr Kitchen In The Er is a joke my son was almost in renal failure and he never told us his LFT levels were off. It’s like kiddy city there. I would NOT send my dead dog to riddle. I’m sure they would just tell me it’s sleeping that’s how bad it is there.

I was going to call into the hospital, but I have not had the time to. My parents had a terrible time in the emergency room a couple of nights ago. My stepdad had a high fever and was in a lot of pain. First of all they waited for 4 hours before anyone came to my parents to ask what they were there for. Once a nurse came to see them, they half-assed their job and even forget some of the tests that they did on my stepfather and remembered an hour later to retrieve them. Even the doctor had a childish attitude and disrespected my parents because they were not fluent in English. I do not think that at ANY hospital, this service is acceptable. I will make sure they never go there again.

I went in with a very sharp pain in the lower left side of my abdomen. I went into the er and was immediately seen. The nurses were extremely nice and they took their time with me. They gave me pain and nausea medicine that made me feel so much better. They did everything they could to find out what was wrong and they finally found out I had a kidney stone. Gave me prescriptions and directions and told me to do a follow up. I appreciate all of the staff of this hospital.

I went to the hospital in December to get stitches on my finger. We told them that it was a workmen comp case and they said okay, and took our information. Two weeks later I had to go back to the hospital because they told me my stitches would dissolve but they never did. When I came in, they said "oh the doctors gave you the wrong stitches." When we back the second time, we told them it was a workmens comp case and they even had someone come over who works with workmens comp. and she took our information. They billed me and sent a debt collector even though we told them two times already and both times they took our information, but didn't acknowledge that it was workmens comp. I'm not sure how the system works but to give me the wrong stitches and bill me for something we told you that was workmens comp is very frustrating. I have other stories too. This is not a good hospital.

GRACE HAGERTY

they take forever to fill out ur child's physical paper do not go there

My pregnant girlfriend whom was in labor, 5 cm dilated was sitting in the waiting room along with another women who had preeclampsia. Fast forward 2 days later discharge time is 11am, and we didn't get discharged for almost a hour and a half later. Wonder why they didn't have enough rooms available. Worst hospital experience ever, especially with the birth of my first child. Something needs to be done immediately so this never happens to another patient again!!

After reading these reviews I felt compelled to write something about my experience. Firstly, Dr Kitchen is excellent in both his bedside manners as well as his care. Dr Diamonte is absolutely a pleasure and has a great sense of humor that was greatly appreciated during a stressful event. The nurses were unbelievable during a terrible time when they lost power and had a computer upgrade to deal with and were working longer hours. for the disgruntled out there, this is an emergency room which means that serious threat to life is their first priority and it will take time. My suggestion is that if it is not an emergency, go to urgent care and leave the ER for events that you will be happy that they are there and not about their bed manners.

I just stayed in ttc unit. It was very dirty. I had a major surgery and they left my towels all over the bathroom which was far from sanitary. Nurses were extremely nice but the one therapist I had was so forceful n shoved my knee down with her hands as she said to me "you'll do as I say"and extremly hurt my leg. Needless to say that didn't end well. The social worker was a completely nasty disrespectful n unprofessional person I experienced in any medical environment. I heard many bad things about this hospital an I should have listened. Next time definitely will not go here. Wish I could post pics how dirty it was.

Worst hospital stay ever! I've had different surgeries over the years, 1 being part of my bowel being removed. I had hernias done here and they left me in pain crying for days! They opened the belt that was put on my after surgery and didn't put it back on correctly and moved me before I should've been moved, while screaming "please don't move me"!! I got a bed sore because they sat me back on the drain and didn't bother to check! I still have a drain in 6 weeks later and they don't know why and won't see me sooner even though they have my Ct scan results. I'm definitely going back to Crozer!!! I should've never switched!! Taylor Hospital has always taken good care of me. I should've stuck with them!! A lot of the nurses were exceptional but the bad ones made it unbearable!!!

Amy Weigand

The 7pm ER staff reacted so defensively to a simple request for information, then made it worse by being condescending and refusing to drop the issue. They really seemed to need to make me wrong. I can't wait to get my family member out of here.

Jeff Crespo

Is it normal for a staff member to be condescending and rude to a father in the delivery room. Older Dutch lady just kept hammering away at me with questions about my tattoos all while looking at her screen. She was rude to my unborn's mother as she blatantly said "when you see someone come in here with purple hair, you know you have to drug test them". So my tattoos and her hair were a problem for her. We are loving parents and 2 of my children were born in that nursery.I have NEVER had a problem at Riddle. You guys saved my life twice!

So many Unprofessional employees Baby birth room is so old seem like 90s Just the few nurses know their job If I have another baby definitely not coming here Right after we left the hospital i had some issues we came to emergency room still waitin for the doctor i just kad the c section newborn baby with me nobody cares

Angela Williams

The perinatal testing center is a joke. Made two appointments for ultrasounds and when I showed up to the first appointment they didn't have me on the schedule so they sent me all over the hospital ended up in 4 different offices trying to figure out how I wasn't on the schedule when I was scheduled for the next appointment which I made at the same time as this one. So I spent 2 hours running from office to office at 7 months pregnant after taking off work for the appointment only to have to reschedule for another day and had to pay for parking for the 2 hours wasted there. Completely unprofessional to do that to someone.

my niece just had her baby via C/section and both mommy and daddy have raved about how great the staff has been and the care that they are getting.. All the staff has been helpful and address all concerns. As a retired L&D nurse, I know the impact that staff makes on patient experiences.. Thank you for taking great care of the new family.. the Morris'..

I wish I could rate the hospital different from the doctor but I can't so I only gave 2 stars. Doctor Kitchen was the worst thing about have to go to the ER last night. He has absolutely no idea what bedside manor is, he seems to forget that just because someone come to the hospital they're not beneath him. He's extremely ignorant and rude; did not give a crap about the person he was treating. But besides him every other person was very nice, welcoming and helpful. The speed at which they had everything done was amazoning. Thank you riddle staff! (Excluding doctor kitchen)
