Had outpatient PT at this hospital. The one on one care was amazing!!! I’ve been to PT at other places in the Philadelphia area, as well as Dover and they group you 3 to 4 patients per PT, so your PT appointment takes 1.5 - 2 hours.) Not so at PAM Dover, where I was out within an hour. PAM Dover did an amazing job with 1 on 1 staff, and I dealt with the Director of Physical Therapy since they were still so new. But all of the staff there, from Environmental Services to front desk reception to kitchen staff, nursing...any employee I came in contact with were all so wonderful and inviting. Special kudos to their administrative team who seem to be leading really well from the top down and took a few minutes to listen to my suggestions.

this facility was absolutely wonderful! The nurses, doctors and therapists were all amazing. My father was recently in 2 other facilities and PAM was the 3rd. There is no comparison. Thanks so much for your care, compassion and specialized attention.

My mom was there for less then 2 weeks and you discharge her. First problem was no one called us to discuss her treatment plan. I called and left message and no return call. Finally Ms Black called me a few days before her projected discharge date. How you thought she was strong enough to return home baffles us. I am her full time caregiver and I explained she had 5 steps to walk up to get in the house. You said oh she is ready to go home. I questioned it. But you said she was ready. She had a horrible time getting up those steps. My mom has been to rehab in the past and she was never discharged in less then 2 weeks. We feel you just pushed her out. She had medical coverage that we called to verify and she had coverage to be there longer. We thought the purpose of rehab was to get her stronger. She is no better then the day she went to the hospital. Also with my mom having dementia you should have included us in her treatment plan. The other rehabs we were invited to join the treatment plan meeting. How does someone with dementia relay this information to us. I never write reviews for anything and I debated doing it this time - I had to say something. You could have worked with her for another week or so. Just seems you didn’t care or listen to my concerns.

PAM is exactly what Dover needed.

Qualified SLP

First year pay for Speech Pathologist is apparently 95k according to the Speech Pathologist they just hired (he posted it online). This is not commensurate to his level of experience (no experience in post acute rehabilitation, also posted online). If you have a loved one with speech-language/dysphagia impairments, I'd advise sending them to a facility that has more experience w/ caring for these needs.

My Daughter in law was a patient here and the care that each person gave was truly remarkable. The amazing staff took the time to address each question and the improvement was nothing short of miraculous. Amazing hospital & amazing people.

This hospital is phenomenal!! The nurses, Doctors and Aides. There was a aide there named Phillip and he was beyond professional and I was very impressed with the way he cared for my uncle. All the aides there were great but I was extremely impressed with the way he made my uncle feel as his needs were top priority! If you have to go to this hospital request Phillip to be your aide!! You can feel comfortable knowing your loved one is taken care of if he is caring for them. Thanks for employing amazing staff to help our community!! Thanks again to all the doctors nurses and the amazing aide Phillip you guys rock

My husband Al went to PAM when they first opened. Everyone treated him so well. They also made me, his spouse, feel welcomed as well. He had suffered two heart attacks and two strokes and wanted more than anything in the world to get back as close to his former self as he could. He had also been in a coma for close to a full month. He suffered. Doctors didn’t think he would survive, but he DID! I had become very particular who would care for him and PAM fit the bill. I had stayed by my husband’s side at all times during his hospitalization and it was beginning to take a toll on me. But now I feel quite comfortable in leaving him there because I know they will take good care of him so that I can see him in the daytime and go home at night. It had been suggested by Bayhealth that he go to two particular places. I asked about PAM but KGH told me he needed a skilled nursing home so right away I made some contact with those associated with PAM. They immediately got on it, checked Al’s condition, called me back and said they will take him now (which was last night) and made things happen in a total of 20 minutes! It’s a fabulous place and Al loves his two Ladies Who work with him in therapy. He says “they really work me hard!” which is what Al likes because he is so anxious to get better! We strongly recommend PAM!!

I had spinal surgery and arrived at PAM 3 days after the operation and stayed there for 11 days. it was the most wonderful experience in post opperative care that one could ask for. Everyone was so attentive and truly cared about my progress. The 4 X daily of pt and ot was outstanding as were the nurses and cnas who looked after my medical needs. I cannot thank you enough for the kindness of your staff that made a difficult rehab such an enjoyable experience.

The facility is nice since it is new to Dover however the CNA staff were very laid back and inattentive. Had to make a formal complaint against 2 of the CNAs involved in my mother's care. They lost my Mother's throw/blanket and a few pieces of her clothes. Nursing staff was good however my mother had to be transferred back to Kent General due to worsening health issues during her short stay at this facility. I hope they work their kinks out quickly so patient can receive better quality of care. My family member will Not be going to this Facility ever again.
