if your illegal your ok there :( and will recieve better care !! Dr. Shaw shoundnt be a Dr. horrible bedside manner and doesnt care !!! i woundnt recommend taking your loved 1's there if you really love them, find another Dr. ASAP if Dr. Shaw is your DR. trust me i know from dealing with him myself !! sorry but its true !!

As an administrator of a long term care facility there are times when residents go thru an episode of behaviors that they normally do not exhibit and we as care givers are at a loss. We don't have the ability to change meds and find the right regimen because we dont employee full time Psychiatrist to constantly monitor these med changes. Enter Buttonwood.... they are a behavioral center that one of their specialties are geriatric Psyche. They employee a number of full time Psychiatrists and Geri psyche nurses to care for these residents and get them back on a med regimen that can control a assortment of behaviors. From the admission process to the weekly updates to transferring them back to our facility is always done so professionally and so cohesively. We are always so happy with both the medical and physical condition our residents when they are returned to us. Buttonwood is such a needed partner for us Long Term Care Facilities.

My father was there sept 2017, they treated him terrible. They never changed his medication, and was giving haladol and other meds. The dr's and social workers were fired shortly after our meeting in oct. In the midst of all this, he had heart failure twice, hallucinating, dehyrdation and bed sores. When i finally found a facility back in north jersey, they brought him up, he had a heart attack that evening and passed away. Oh and if you bring clothes, you never get them back. This place is horrible, if you have a loved one, don't send them there. For the record my dad told me they beat you and hit you!!! Lawsuit pending:

I am an Administrator of a long term care facility and I recently sent a troubled patient to Buttonwood Hospital. The patient returned like different person. The patient told me he feels better now then he has felt in a long time. Thank you!
