INCOMPETENCE RUNS RAMPANT! Most of the nurses are wonderful but there is a total lack of care by orthopedics especially. My dad was admitted on Saturday with a fractured pelvis and has YET TO BE SEEN BY AN ORTHOPEDIST. Gross negligence!! I have been in touch with your patient advocate for the past 2 days. She is very nice, understanding and has tried to help. Other doctors have requested orthopedic service to show up and they are still negligent and still haven't shown up. Hire some better, more compassionate, responsible doctors!!

These people ignore Medigap policies. Get ready for a long, drawn-out battle.

Admitted in Oct 2013 for emergency open heart surgery and throughout my 8 days in the Hospital, all pre-surgery and post-surgery care was exceptional. The entire cardiac team was excellent as well as all the personnel in ICU. My two months of out-patient Cardiac Rehab at the Medical Center was by far the best. Thanks to all the staff that had anything to do with my care.

Take way to long on blood work and didn't send my daughter to the right floor after she told them she was pregnant.... the services need to be faster I should not of lost a whole day of work because of it

i was directed by the walk in to immediately go to to the er drove 45 minutes to the beebe waited in er for almost 3 hours till i was graciously given a bed in the hallway were i was for another 2and a half hours saw the for maybe 1 minute in total and then was told go to my regular dr because they didnt know what was wrong. I mean i didnt die so atleast got that going for me and a really expensive visit.

Pwamma Perry

My grandma came here and they fixed her arm up real good.

Went to Beebe for a routine blood test. They called the next day to say they did not take enough blood. Could I come back. These folks are clowns.

The staff are UNPROFESSIONAL, UNTRAINED, and lacked COMPASSION. If you lack any of these, there is no need to be in the medical field if you don’t care about a persons life. I seriously can’t stand this hospital and the staff members! You literally have to be on top of them with everything they do, and it is ridiculous. The whole department needs to be wiped out with better trained workers who actually care! If I could rate this hospital a 0 I surely would!

Gspot Charger

Well, has anyone had a serious issue with a relative that went to this hospital, cause a relative walked into Beebe. And. Died 2 days later. With no explanation of what the staff. Had done. Or not done

JASON GENTILE

Had to go to emergency room and at the end of it all being one who does not nor can afford this affordable healthcare, now has a $25k bill, never was told any ongoing charges they just racked up the bill, CROOKED PLACE

Horrible er doctor He does not listen and makes you feel like he is God and you are nothing Refused to give me my blood test result Nurses lied to me and told me that my spouse left the hospital while he was in the waiting room GOD OF THE ER NEEDS TO GO WAS NOT EVER OFFERED A GLASS OF WATER DID NOT BREAK DOWN MY MEDICAL BILL MY VET TREATS MY ANIMAL FAR BETTER AND MUCH MORE HUMINISTIC

Tanya Ford

My son broke his wrist the first day of vacation and my husband and father inlaw took him to the ER. They said the doctors were amazing and they received the best care ever. Made my 5 year feel extra special and gave him top notch care.

I came here this morning following a negative 10 star worthy experience at Nanticoke in Seaford. I walked in, was triaged and in a room seeing the Dr within 15 minutes! Dr. Massey listened, asked good questions and had Trent my Nurse setting up my tests immediately. I had x rays and a CT within an hour. Had meds and was feeling much better with in another hour. I'm so glad I came here rather than giving Nanticoke another chance.

My daughter had a medical emergency, they were very attentive and promptly had us in a medevac on our way to chop! She had emergency surgery, if we waited much longer things could have turned out much worse! I’m grateful to the staff in the er that night!

Lesley Yingling

I am very dissatisfied with the care I received in the ER last Wednesday. My physical therapist recommended I go to the ER due to my symptoms. I felt like the doctor thought I was lying about my symptoms. After 2 hours I requested water but never did receive it. I was released after 4 hours when my husband walked up to the desk and said "I need to take her home because she is too uncomfortable here". The only advice received was to take Tylenol at home and make an appointment with a specialist. I was born at Beebe and had my child there also. I have had surgery there with no complaints. I will never use their ER again.

Walked into the emergency room told them the severity of my cut on my toe. waited 30 minutes to be checked in, waited another 30 to be registered. Waited another hour to finally be brought into the back all while im still bleeding out of my cut that I showed to about 10 people who all thought I should be stitched up for. I finally am called into the back where they then leave me in a chair in a hallway and, no exaggeration have me wait for 2 and a half hours before some doctor in a hoodie tells me that they’re gonna clean it and put me on an antibiotic. This is shortly after a nurse comes over and looks at and literally peels of the skin and clearly sees how deep it is. He puts me on the antibodies and we finally leave after a 4 and a half hour to 5 hour time there and maybe talked to their employees 5% of that time. Go home and the cut gushes blood, it bled through the bandaid they put on, the sock, and my shoe. Must’ve lost a nice galloon of blood. All while on my anti biotic and wearing the band aid they gave me. We then drive back up only to wait another 2 hours in the waiting room and for a doctor to say “Should’ve stitched it up the first time you were here, dont know what to tell ya.” I hate everything about this place it doesn’t even seem like a legit hospital.

Had first major surgery of my life with one Dr. Gita Pillai, following ER visit to Emergency Dept with Dr. Hadzar (?) due to freakish fall on my own staircase. Taken promptly. Dr. Hadzar has a caring, compassionate manner, in addition to being a capable, highly intelligent physician (NYU Medical School grad so not surprising). Front-end staff at Same Day Surgery (outpatient) Unit were efficient but also friendly during paperwork phase. Nurses were terrific throughout. Anesthesiologist Dr. Lim explained the sequence thoroughly, as well as her suggested post-op pain med plan. Excellent bedside manner on part of Dr. Lim. Nurse anesthesiogist, Cheryl, instilled confidence as she had worked with Dr. Lim in Wilmington for some years, and now works on Dr. Lim's team following both their moves to this area of DE. Beebe impressed me because the staff overall was superior to Sibley in DC where I had my children and one minor outpatient procedure (only other hospital with which I'm acquainted). The nursing staff in 2002 at Sibley was so indifferent that I left less than 24 hours after admission cuz I felt I'd be better off at home following childbirth. Our family used Beebe ED on a weekend about 10 yrs ago for touch football injury for our then-elementary son with good results. Great MD (UPenn-trained I later learned online) who felt finger was just sprained, but ordered x-ray in case. Just a sprain, which healed nicely with splint nurse bandaged around our son. Highly recommend, but with the population growth in this area of Sussex County, I can well imagine wait times in ED can be long, especially in summer tourist season.

I had my daughter here back in October. The staff was great to me especially considering I'd been in almost every day that month with labor pains.

David McCarthy

absolutely horrible. do not ever step foot in this establishment. I was verbally abused from both the African American woman at the front desk and from the two security guards. they ripped my phone out of my hands because I wanted to document their abuse and they deleted my photos from my camera roll and told me taking pictures of them is illegal. honestly don't go near this place.

Christine Herndon

Mother was admitted to ER. Spent over 24 hours "waiting for a bed" which I understand may happen from time to time. Never experienced it at any other hospital and unfortunately have been to several due to mother's recurring health issues. Finally assigned a room only to transfer to ICU a free days later. Some of the staff have been nice and overall knowledgeable but about 75% of the staff seems ill trained and extremely rude for people in the medical field. In comparison to every hospital, and this includes repeated stays in another state, this hospital would rate negative if possible to do. The ICU nurses and techs assigned to the department were amazingly unprofessional.

Kelly Rieley

I have had 4 babies at Beebe, each time it was an awesome, memorable experience for my husband and I. I have also had to visit the ER several times over the past few years for myself or my kids and we have always been treated in a timely manner by friendly and warm staff. Beebe is my preferred hospital.

larry steven

Stayed a few nights for an infection. Wait time was pretty long from the start, but it's expected from a busy hospital. Had a majority of very good nurses, but some were so-so who didn't really check back to me. Would like to thank the following for providing exceptionally good service : Nurse Elizabeth R Nurse Veronica Nurse Talisha Asst. Mykayla + Tracey Asst. Tammy

John Gross

My pregnant wife was being admitted for an ultrasound because a filing cabinet fell on her at work. After arriving at the hospital in a very tense state, they informed me that they wouldn’t allow me in the room with her during the ultrasound because of hospital policy. There is no reason even camping on the border of logic that could justify this. It made the situation worse and aggravated my wife even more. NEVER GO HERE FOR ANY REASON. Horrible experience. You need to use common sense and stop being lazy by leaning on "policy". What a joke.

kfcdelaware

The patience and care was exceptional. The "Behavioral RN" went the second mile for our grandson. I saw her heart and perseverance amid the bureaucratic hurdles. It/she prevailed for his benefit. thank You. kfc

Beebe Hospital has made the birth of our second child (Daughter) one of the most traumatic and long term scarring experience I’m sure we will encounter for the rest of our lives. I am so disgusted and disappointed by their services after we spoke so highly of them after our first child’s birth. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating a young mother and family the way they have through this ordeal. Wow ORDEAL, Can you imagine referring to the birth of your child as an ORDEAL!!! I want to cry for the mental anguish they have put my Giance through. We are so hurt words can’t describe how we feel. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves. They accused a mother of using drugs in their parking lot, called the police on her and refused to give the baby her breast milk. The mother willingly submitted to a drug test which came back clean with no issues at all!!!! They have stereotyped this poor girl the whole time she has been in the hospital. The nurses have even opened the bathroom door while she was using the toilet because they wanted to “catch her” using. THE GIRL WAS USING THE BATHROOM, NOTHING ELSE! The girl has been cleared by the medical staff and they have acknowledged she was unfairly stereotyped and treated as a lesser human being because of her past. Beebe Health Cares Labor and Delivery as well as their Security staff should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AND EACH PERSONALLY GIVE A FACE TO FACE APOLOGY WITH THIS POOR GIRL WHO JUST HAD A CHILD IN THEIR FACILITY A WEEK PRIOR!!!! Be very weary of this establishment if you have any kind of checkered background because you will be treated like a second rate citizen and have the police called on you when you did nothing wrong. Oh yeah, they called the police because she fell asleep in her car for two hours from exhaustion after being with her child 9 days straight at the hospital. She went outside to get some air in her car and apparently falling asleep from exhaustion is the same as using drugs now... WRONG!!! They had the police wait by her car to search it and after they found nothing because she did nothing they still ostracized her like scum. I follow through on what I feel passionate about and this establishment attacking my Fiancé wrongly and repeatedly has me at the point where this is being taken to the next level and will be handled through the civil system. Big mistake Beebe.

I suffered a silly accident at home Thursday evening and ended up with excruciating pain in my foot. I am so thankful that Beebe Healthcare Emergency Department is only a few miles away from my home. It ended up that I have broken my ankle. The care from the moment I walked in was wonderful. I can't say enough. I could see the waiting room was extremely busy. Still, the triage nurse came out, asked me several questions and let me know if would be a little while. I knew I wasn't dying and I am sure there were people with much more serious injuries than I. The x-ray tech gave me a painless x-ray. The ER physician Dr. Haldar was excellent and clearly experienced. The clearly experienced emergency medicine nurse George Austin was gentle and thorough, and I believe had a good idea it was broken, though didn't say anything until the results of the x-ray were read and Dr. Haldar discussed the situation with me. Anyway, I am now home, immobilized and I have my referral for Monday with Lewes ankle specialist Dr. Orsini.

Garnett Mukoyama

I had a biopsy here at Beebe and Dr Kwan did a wonderful job. The nurses were very friendly and very professional. Being treated nice is important to me. The whole staff was outstanding. Thank you, Sam

Jodi Ruffino

If i could give a negative 5 i would! Avoid this place at all costs! They discharged my mom twice while she was in tremendous pain saying they couldn’t figure it out and both times released her with the wrong meds!! If they can’t figure it out they should transfer the patient to somewhere that knows what they are doing!!

Lisa isbarbie

I arrive at the hospital at 2pm and been sitting in the hallway in the emergency for over 2 hours

Bob Eggers

This review is directly for the nurses and assistants that have been here for me for about 3 weeks of the last month that I've been through the ICU, ER, and other levels. They have provided nothing short of care, concern, and support even through trying times of insurance issues. True professionals in Jessica, Michelle, Camille, Crystal, Veronica, Lydia, and others especially in the ICU.

Marianne Goodwin

If you are looking for a hospital with that can take care of a patient with more than one symptom this is NOT the hospital for you! This is the second time that my family has had inconsistent, incomplete and conflicting care plans for my dad! The staff is reluctant to coordinate care or even communicate with any other doctor the patient has been working with for a related condition I.e cardiologist with vascular department! This leads to more complications and less long term health goals. The staff was unprofessional when the family was asking for clarity. In addition the ICU unit is not procedural- lack of follow up and even protocols like wearing gloves for examination was rare. If you need serious medical attention- go elsewhere!

J C

We were in vacation when my wife got sick sand went to the ER. They took great care of us and went through troubleshooting to figure out what was wrong. Eventually was admitted and the nurses on the 5th floor we're amazing, Kay, Carmela, Candace and so many more

Cathy Leyden

Ridiculously long wait to see the Doctor. Left unattended for hours with no answers.

Jacob Murray

Paige Kiefner

Their staff sucks. The wait time is ridiculous. So I left to go to another ER, I was that irritated. Needless today nanticoke is better.

Rebecca Resnik

My parents both live in Lewes. Beebee is in a small town, but has given both my parents terrific care. My mother was just in with e-coli. Because she has irritable bowel syndrome, it would have been easy for them to blow off her symptoms and send her home. But they didn't. They took her seriously, and they caught it early. A few years ago, when my father was in septic shock, they also saved him. I'm very grateful to the staff there. I don't know if you guys will ever see this, but well done

diana schnoor

Billing department is poorly run. Doesn't take responsibility for their errors. Inefficient, inaccurate. Give you the "runaround". Watch Your Bills!

Don Brittingham

Like all emergency rooms extremely slow. But after patiently waiting for doctor to return to go over test results. Have to deal with one of the most rude doctor. She snapped that they are busy very unprofessional.

Abdoulaye Diao

Worst hospital I have ever seen. Took my infant child to emergency. They couldnt admit him for almost an hour or more due to lack of room I was told. But they sure did make sure we had health insurance which we did. Not even a nurse would come out and speak to us and check my child. When he finally got admitted, their staff and doctor had no clue. One nurse in the E.R was highly motivated and caring. They finally called I.A Dupont Children Hospital and he got transferred. My child died couple days later. We found out he had a heart attack. I was warned before about Beebe, but we had no other choice since it is the closest location from where we live in Lewes.

Sean and Varma MRI techs were excellent

Greg Mills

Staff was very friendly and concerned about the patients

My husband went here to get stitches and while I thank God that he is okay and we are blessed that someone helped heal his wound, this hospital was all over the place. We live the same distance away from Beebe hospital as nanticoke. But, we went to this hospital as it's one my husband prefers. The front desk wasn't very friendly, there wasn't clear direction on if I was allowed into a room with him or not. The doctor didn't have a cheery bedside manner or a happy disposition. He seemed like he didn't want to be there to help my husband at all. The hospital itself was very clean and they did inform my husband on SOME aftercare procedures. Again, I thank the good Lord above for my husband's good health and hospital staff working to ensure the health of others. But, Nanticoke has provided more information with a happy smile to my family time and time again. This hospital was very chaotic and not so nice.

Marisa Mastrangelo

Keith James

Worst hospital ever. ER did their job. They finally got me to room, where it is just filthy. Stains on the walls, door and floors. Night shift nurses are very rude. I came in for cellulitis, and they are treating me for my toe. Just crazy.

Sandy Brittingham

I had my first ever experience with Beebe Hospital. It certainly was not my hospital of choice for major surgery due to past experiences with family members. However, my surgeon is affiliated with this hospital and I had the utmost confidence and respect for him. I must say that I was extremely pleased with the whole experience, from OP registration, to pre-op care and post-op care. My surgeon, anesthesiologist and assistants were great and explained everything while I was still awake. The post-op care I received was the best I’ve ever had. The nurses and assistants were so professional and caring; I couldn’t have hoped for better. The therapist, housekeeping, and nutrition staff were all great too. So I now have renewed faith in Beebe hospital and especially their orthopaedic unit.

Do not go there..went to get lab work done--gave them my insurance card and they said they accept that insurance..received a bill and when I called I was told by them that they take all insurance cards but it does not mean the insurance company will pay for the services..what a scam...

Rebecca Beausoleil

Nurses at this hospital are not in the habit of washing their hands. I witnessed one nurse with long painted nails skip hand washing, and then change an IV without gloves on. Like many of the nurses her hair was not pulled up above her shoulders. This was on their ICU unit.

My son in law recently had a triple bypass at Beebe. Dr. Wehberg and his team were amazing. From pre-op to post-op everyone was kind and professional. The nurses, dietary, rehab, respiratory, EVS, volunteers etc made a challenging stay a positive experience for my son in law and family. We highly recommend Beebe.

This hospital has a history of being threatened for suits for malpractice. Delaware is a State of "Don't rock the boat" where the healthy and wealthy need not be bothered. This idea manifests inside this hospital in the worst of ways. Are you dying? DOCTORS will claim you are "of poor condition" and refuse to give actual medical feedback. Their commitment consists of the bare minimum necessary by law but they'll gladly send suicidal alcoholics home with naught but a phone number; simply because the patient "can walk a bit" and "know the time of day". Delaware is full of the old and wealthy, such a shock to see the healthcare not be up to par.

Melissa Savage

For the last year I have had nothing but bad experiences at this hospital. I took my daughter there for a small rash on her leg it looked like ringworm to me but they treated her for something else it got worse in a few days what started out as a pinky nail size rash turned into a rash as big a soda lid from misdiagnosis and treating her for the wrong thing. so I took her back they gave me medicine to treat it but the medicine they gave my daughter was allergic to I told them that they refused to change it said I am the care provider not you. so needless to say I had to get the head charge nurse involved finally got a different medicine this was in January 2014. Then I went in June for severe dehydration the same nurse that took care of my daughter was my caregiver I gave her the benefit of the doubt and let her be my caregiver big mistake. They started me on fluids and ran some test all the test came back fine she was like we are sending you home I still felt really bad worse than when I first came in so I asked to see another doctor she told me no I am your caregiver I'm sending you home finally after not feeling well my anxiety kicking in another Dr came in ran a few more test gave me more fluids and the right meds I was fine to go home. I went in this past week for sever anxiety attacks I told them when I went in I was having a little chest pain but its not heart related I was having severe anxiety. So needles to to be safe they did an ekg which was fine I understood they wanted to make sure it wasn't heart related. when I got in the back I told the Dr. I had a heart work up the year before everything was normal that this was anxiety I needed some relief till I can get to my Dr. so they gave me meds to help in er and ran some blood work well they ran test something was off to indicate I may have a blood clot somewhere so they said they wanted to admit me so I went along with what they said they put me in the cardiac unit with Dr Kim as the attending Dr worst Dr I have ever had in my life he never asked me what was going on never asked me about my history nothing he went off of what the test in the ER said nothing else. A nurse came in and asked me who my pharmacy was I told them next thing I know they are saying I have some meds for you and it was medication I went off of a year ago that I didn't need I told them I wasn't on that medication anymore. They started me on anxiety meds while I was there for two days which I did need well needless to say the test they did for two days came back negative they said we are sending you home so I was expecting to get help with the anxiety while I was in there Dr Kim told me yiou can do that out patient afer he already started me on the meds in the hospital for my anxiety. He refused to run blood work for issues I had been having said you were admitted for other reasons I explained to him what I was admitted for is not what I came in for the issues I came in for are getting swept inder the carpet. I asked to speak to another Dr he refused to let me talk to someone else he was very cold and callous and uncaring. I will say the nurses are awesome but the overall care is horrible I will never go to this hospital again I feel they did not listen to me at all and just went their own way so needless to say I did not get relief from the real issue I was there and had to suffer with the symptoms I was having for a week till I got to my dr and have to pay for all they did that was unnecessary. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone horrible care

Lisa Blevins

Was a tourist in Delaware on 9/01/15, and had to visit the ER. Dr. Cowan was very professional, as well as Nurse Lisa. Both were very caring and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Rengasm

Unprofessional attitude. They prescribed an antiepileptic which is causing extreme side effects (0.3% reported) and I was hung up on by the ER staff while trying to speak to them about this. They have not followed the FDA guidelines which say to monitor the patient while starting this medication for dangerous side effects. Unprofessional hospital, unprofessional staff, and doctors seemingly hired out of the back alleys...

Alice Bowen

They have been kind and sweet to me and taken care of all my cardiac issues ...

Chelsea

I would give 10 stars to the labor and delivery nurses! I had my baby boy here February 2019 and the aftercare from the nurses was amazing! However my labor and delivery experience was not the greatest...the anesthesiologist would NOT numb me all the way no matter how much I complained on the pain I was still feeling....she told me I was feeling "pressure" and it definetely was not pressure it was pain...I may as well not even had an epidural because I felt my whole delivery and my induction and labor was being controlled due to the doctors schedule as well....it was a horrible terrifying experience...

Vixus Aqueous

Unprofessional staff. Lacking compassion. Threatening at times. Would give less than one star if I could there needs to be more training with mental health and chronic disease. Most staff came off as aloof and disrespectful. Charge nurse Collen was the an abomination.

Michala Abrams

kenya butler

Very Long stays nasty attitude and you can hear their conversations about the patients so unperfesional

Ashley Graham

I have never in my life met such rude and indignant nurses. They act like you are bothering them by having an emergency. My doctor sent me to the emergency room and the nurses and doctors treated me like I was lying or exaggerating my symptoms.

My mom went to the hospital with severe pain, got a number of tests done on her, was told they couldn't find anything wrong. Two days later Alantic General found out she has a severe gallbladder infection, is being admitted to surgery asap. Good job, BeeBee!

Beebe Hospital sent my wife a adversement claiming to be Americas 100 Best in coronary Intervention Procedures. The problem is my wife died at Beebe of a heart attack in 2015. Beebe is an on going disgrace for Sussex County DE. Tip, do not sent advertisements to people that died in your care.

In the ER for 6 1/2 hours waiting for results that were said to take 30 minutes and the tests were done 5 hours ago!! Horrible experience! Son was told not to eat but when I asked again 6 hours later cause he hasn't eaten all day they said oh sure we'll get him something. No attention to the patients at all!!

Dec 22, 2016 went to Beebe Walk in, Georgetown, De for a migraine that I had for 3 days. I didn't really want to go there, because the last time I went there I had a terrible experience. The PA Marsha Reynolds, has to be most rude and obnoxious "health professional" I have ever encountered. Her beside manners need a lot of work. She gets right in your face and you feel like she is attacking you. All I wanted was some relief from the migraine, and told her my meds would be ready the next day. She proceeded to tell me that she has no drugs in the office, I didn't ask for narcotics, and SHE asked me what I took for the migraine, I told her, and she went on to say she doesn't have that med. I know that, if I had wanted a narcotic, I would have gone to the hospital. I just wanted to take the edge off............never again will I visit that walk in......she needs to go to "Beside manner school" and "How to be nice to people". Don't bother giving me a number to call for patient services. Rant over. I had to mark one star to be able to post this, but this facility, with her as a PA deserves a ZERO

I have had several contacts with Beebe since moving here in September of 2016 and every one was the best I have ever experienced in this type of setting. My wife is an RN (OR) retiring out of Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, PA. With her critical eye she is, and has been, truly impressed with the hospital and the Beebe Medical Group. We simply cannot say enough as to the greatness of this institution.

Richard Pounsberry

My mother was recently treated at the Beebe Hospital; and my family and I wanted to thank you and your wonderful staff for her care. Dr. Zangari, my mothers attending physician, was extremely attentive, professional, and listened when my family explained our concerns for her treatment. In fact, everyone we came in contact with during my mothers stay, from clerical to medical staff, were extremely helpful. Thank you again and please convey our thanks to all of your staff members for their help during this difficult time.

Jeff Walls

While all my visits haven't been the best. On 6/18/19 I was seen in the ER by Dr.Kevin Earnes MD.. He was awesome! His bed side manner wonderful, and was very thorough. He took the time to answer my wife, and my questions. Thank you

Naomi Wagner

This is the best experience I've had at any hospital I've ever been to. Every staff I've come in contact with is pleasant, esp the doctor and nurse that I've seen. They both are understanding, kind, and explain everything in a clear and easy to understand way. They have gone out of their way to help me not only here but to make sure I understand all my options and resources in the community as well.

Kris Cantrella

Last Thursday 8/22 while on vacation I had to go to the emergency room to have my ankle checked out as I had fell down the stairs. All of the staff was pleasant, helpful and caring.I was taken care of right away. Sandra & Gavon were excellent as well as everyone I dealt with. I am recuperating back home in New Jersey. Thank you for all of your help. Sincerely, Kris

Every single time I've been at thia hospital thw triage nurse is rude and miserable. The response is fairly quick but the billing and coding is incompetent. Every single time they get it wrong and try to extort money from a government insurance.

Jeff Spade

What a beautiful experience for my family. The doctors and nurses made a hip replacement ho so smoothly and easily. Friendly attentive nurses and therapists....This local hospital is amazing!

Sunbin Song

Great care and caring nurses with particularly excellent expert advice from trauma surgeon Dr. Higgins.

Michelle Roberts

I had a cardiac catheterization and showed up with a broken foot, which I had broken a few hours earlier. My nurse April was extremely patient with me, Dr. Q sent me for an x-ray and delayed my procedure to make sure I could go thru it with my foot the way it was. The entire team, but especially April, were great. My only complaint would be the back up at the security desk, waiting to get a visitor pass, as a patient, I think there should be a better way to allow us thru. But overall, very satisfied!

Mel Jones

We were visiting DE from MD and had to take our daughter in because of what looked to be a tic bite. The nurse took blood from my 15 month old to run a test for Lymes disease. We were never contacted with the results and the results were never sent to our pediatrician. When we called the hospital the first time they said they would fax the results, but our pediatrician never received them, so we called back again and was transferred to the lab where we were told the the attending nurse did not collect enough blood to run the test so there was never one conducted. What a terrible experience to find out almost a month later that your child might still be sick and this facility did nothing but prolong the ability of her recieveing an actual medical diagnosis and treatment. So disgusted.

Jay Janowski

Had to go to the ER while on vacation and had a really good stay here. They were very prompt to fix the issue I was dealing with and super nice and respectful. You can tell some of the low reviews people are giving are BS, and they are most likely leaving big parts of their story out..

My sister had extreme stomach pain and vomiting for 2 days, they told her it was from smoking marijuana. Then they said they would take her back when they had a bed available. When we went back we passed 5 empty beds and 3 empty rooms. On the intake the lady tried to tell her she had cyclic vomiting syndrome from the marijuana. NOT EVEN POSSIBLE. Marijuana is used to treat cyclic vomiting syndrome. Can't wait for the new Bayhealth Hospital to open in Milford.

My review is in reference to Beebe's patient portal system. Terrible. My Beebe doctors use a portal that is different from the one used by the Beebe hospital (different accounts are required for each). Results of labs or diagnostic tests done at a Beebe facility never make it to my portal, even though I request that they be shared. So, I then have to "manually" (telephone calls, emails) track them down and have them faxed. The idea is a good one, but no thought or provision was made to integrate all of the data. This is ALL Beebe data people! I also find the "messaging" feature available on the portals is of little use, as the staff rarely respond in a timely manner -- weeks sometimes. If you can't make it all work, or don't use it as intended, then pull the plug until you can get it right and make it a useful tool for patients. It's 2019!!

The doctors and staff are fantastic...at 3:33 AM the delivery of a wonderful baby boy while on vacation. The staff is friendly and professional. Everyone smiles and is genuinely friendly. The delivery couldn’t have been better if fully planned. Much happier that the baby was delivered here instead of in Hagerstown Maryland.

I had to wait a bit too long to get my scalp stiched up and my relative was being airlifted out without him or his spouse being told why

Do not ever think to go that place again . .. Total waste of money and time.

One of my worst experiences I have ever had during recent hospitalization. Not treated with respect and all they seemed to care about was their jobs and licences. If I ever have to go to a hospital again I will go to Baltimore.

Sophia Bell

I wouldn’t even rate it one star. When I went in because I couldn’t walk, I asked everybody if I was in observation, and they said no. Then, once I was discharged I got a bill for $400 that said I needed to pay for observation. I sent an email to Bebe and it got denied. I went to Bebe and they wouldn’t help me. Worst hospital ever. They don’t really care about the patients after.

When a stroke patient enters the ER and the admitting staff does not recognize the very obvious signs and neglect to admit that patient immediately - you know you would have better luck getting treatment at a gas station. This is the worst hospital. I'm sorry google requires reviewers to leave one star for a review.

This is literally the worst Hospital on the east coast, and I have no idea who's at fault. I'm currently at work, and my wife is at this hospital at the moment for what has been around 2 hours...and they're still in the waiting room!!! My daughter was referred to go to Beebe by her pediatrician immediately for lab work to see if we need to go to AI DuPont for further evaluation and I call to check up on them, and they're still in the WAITING ROOM! If for whatever reason you need to go to this Hospital be prepared to spend all day there, no matter what you're going in for. P.S. Don't give me some B.S. reply about how you care and give me a number to call, cause judging by all the angry comments left, you top dogs running the show obviously don't care...Sincerely, a pissed off father.

Came into the ER with chest and stomach pains. They ran multiple tests and never felt like I was waiting too long for any of the results. Everyone was super friendly. I went in at 6 and was out by 10 having done at least 4-5 tests. Doctor and nurses answered all my questions. I was alone so they made sure to check on me every once in a while as well. Not sure why their overall rating is so low but I feel like for a hospital by the beach in the middle of the summer I had a great experience.

I will have open heart surgery and each person that took care of me were excellent I felt very comfortable.

A 13 hr wait in the ER on a stretcher and no care-no IV, oxygen, pain meds etc with blood clots in my lung and leg. Consistent hassles at Beebe labs trying to get doctor's orders completed. Leaving frustrated and angry. And insurance information inputted incorrectly creating hassles with bills that should have been paid. I am currently looking for NEW doctors that are NOT affiliated with Beebe.

I saw Dr. Sofronski for a second opinion on my VSG surgery. His staff took the time to greet me and make sure I was comfortable before I even sat down in the waiting room. The receptionist was amazing. She told me about her own experience and hearing it in her words made me feel that I made a great choice. During the actual visit, the RN Leanne was just incredible. She took the time to listen to me, and I don't mean just nod and "mhmm", she locked in and really listened. She then spoke with the doctor prior to him coming in. When Dr. Sofronski came in he really listened and tuned in as well. Although some of my issues were just my personal view of prior care, he STILL LISTENED and moreover took the time to understand. Highly recommend this facility!

Unfortunately, when i burned myself with boiling water this hospital was the closest to my location. I came to an ER. They gave me pain medicine which is fine. The nurse was trying to put bandage for like 15 minutes and as soon as i got up it fell down. Horrible! Did i mention they gave me nothing to protect my burn from bacteria? Anyway, two days later i fell down with a fever because my burn got infected. Duh! I thought i was dying, and i was so angry with them fot not properly healing me. So i went to a small walk-in clinic where a true competent doctor gave me the right stuff and told me that i should sue Beebe. I went to see my lawyer, she told me since i didnt get any lifelong complications i had a small chance of winnig the case. And yes, they pour tons of money for the best lawyers because they know they are bad incompetent screw-ups! If you can try to avoid this God forsaken place!

Lois Timlin

All staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They put me at ease and I received wonderful care.

Samantha Cedeno

My primary doctor sent me to the ER to rule out a blood clot because I had swelling in my left calf. 2 hours + later and numerous people seen in front and I'm still waiting room. Horrible service, unable to give you any ideas about wait time and even if they aren't busy you will end up spending hours in the waiting room.

They were very rude because it was close to closing time, so they avoided treating my sister by all costs. The doctors and staff looked very angry that we came in 15 minutes before they closed at 8pm. It was an emergency, and they really made us feel uncomfortable, and unworthy of the proper services needed. It was very unfair, because we were out of town and that was the only hospital close to our location. I'm very glad to say, since we have grade A hospitals in Pittsburgh we never go through these problems. Please step it up for your clients, we deserve better treatment under your care...

My Aunt is in the hospital dying of cancer, and pneumonia in her lung, on tube feedings, etc. And I was there for 3 hours and didn't see none of the Nurses on the 5th floor wash their hand or use hand Sanitizer, before or after patient contact, even after doing a glucose check.... This is a BIG DEAL. I work for one for one of the largest health care systems in the Nation and this is WAY BELOW standards...

Please notice that Beebe did not respond to my original post. I obtained evidence in April 2017 that Beebe's CCO made false statements to HHS OCR, after Beebe had already colluded with HHS, in her letter to OCR in May 2015 that caused OCR to close my legitimate complaint against Beebe. By federal law, Beebe is supposed to append written statements of disagreement to the patient's medical record. Beebe has refused to append my record with the evidence that their CCO lied about me personally by claiming that all of my contacts with Beebe were complaints/grievances; and by claiming that a diagnosis that I was asking Beebe to explain had been confirmed by another medical facility and Beebe had investigated this. Delaware State has been complicit in the collusion that occurred in March/April/May 2015 that resulted in OCR sending me a letter stating that they had received my April 14, 2015 complaint against Beebe; they reviewed my complaint; and they closed my complaint without action. OCR's letter contained confidential information that is also in my letter to the Delaware DPR asking them to investigate Beebe physicians for creating false medical records. There is no complaint from me to OCR dated April 14, 2015. The letter was a result of collusion between DPR, Beebe, and HHS OCR. Delaware and HHS have refused to investigate the collusion; and when OCR received my actual complaint against Beebe, the complaint was processed fraudulently and was closed based solely on the false information from Beebe's CCO. I have also learned that DPR provided the same false medical records that caused me to file my complaints with DPR to the Medical Board for review so that my medical records still contain false information that has the potential to cause me harm. I provided evidence of the collusion and the false information from Beebe's CCO to my State Senator Pettyjohn in May 2017; and his June 2017 response informs me that he will no longer communicate with me or allow his staff to spend time on my issue. Making false statements to OCR violates 18 U.S.C. 1001; and I was given a written warning from OCR that I could be prosecuted if I made false statements in connection with my complaints. Beebe is being protected by Delaware State and by the federal government. If Beebe did nothing wrong in connection with my treatment in their Emergency Department, why the need for protection from state and federal government; and why the need to make me the offender? This facility deserves a zero rating; however, I had to give them one star in order to post my comment. They do not follow their own Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities; and they do not adhere to the HIPPA Privacy Act. In my case, they created false medical records; and they have refused to amend my records while disregarding evidence that their records are false. If you are mistreated at this facility, do not count on the Delaware State agency responsible for investigating to do so. My treatment has been covered up by the Patient Advocate, the President/CEO, and other individuals at Beebe with responsibility and Duty to Report unprofessional medical conduct at this facility. The initial creation of false medical records has been compounded by false written statements made by Beebe staff to the Department of Health & Human Services and by State collusion with the HHS. Evidence of this is the fact that a Beebe physician has been allowed by both Beebe and HHS to alter medical records while being investigated to remove information that is damaging to the physician and Beebe.

Katrina Sellers was the absolute worst nurse I have ever had in my whole life. She was extremely unfriendly and made me sit in pain for 5 hours without anything accomplished. I would rather drive home from the beach than wait here again. Worst hospital I have ever been to.

Mariachi Panda

Went to ER after nearly slicing my finger off. Was there over an hour before i had to ASK for something for pain. After it was stitched, i waited 7 days. Went to a walk in to be told its not closing correctly because its not stitched correctly. Im in severe pain. Ive called the hospital repeatedly to deal with rude people and be hung up on.

Maria Schiano

Doctors are good but I don’t know what happened with the bills and the insurance information they handle, but before my daughter went she asked them about that and they said that work with our insurance and now it ends up that we have to pay the whole bill because they don’t have it, I’m so upset because of that...

Chris David

Honest to goodness better than I ever expected. My wife and I had our first child here a few years back and the staff was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Big thanks to every nurse who helped us through our stay.

priscilla payton

I got to the Er around 6:30 pm and at 9:12 pm I’m still sitting in waiting area waiting to be seen. This has truly been a bad experience especially with my pain and running a high fever. I watched a couple with a baby leave because they had not been called back either.

Michael Catalano

Doctors were rude, popped my should out of socket and put it back in myself. Doctors didn't help whatsoever, still can't move my arm and they sent me home with Ibuprofen . Awful experience at this hospital don't even want to give it one star

During a visit with family last Christmas, my husband who is a diabetic had a malfunction with his insulin pump. The staff was totally uneducated about insulin pumps. One nurse even asked if he could see it because he had never seen one. My husband was admitted into the hospital. He was in ICU..............not sure why. The staff had no idea how to deal with a diabetic patient and as soon as the diabetic nurse educator came to see him (after the weekend), she was appalled at the treatment methods they were giving him. We called his endocrinologist in Pittsburgh and she advised us to come home ASAP to receive proper treatment. As if that wasn't enough, the accounting department at this establishment is unprofessional, rude and as careless as the medical staff. If you are going to be vacationing in this area, beware if you become ill.

I was in emergency room. Laid down for 15', spoke to a nurse, and a doctor for less than 15' with 2 tablets relaxing muscle and my problems still there. And now I just received a phone call to notified that they charged me $1100.00 for emergency service. Which it rid of a patient budget. Such an expensive service! Update: when I tried to called the hospital, there is no one to answer and voicemail was full. After decided to pay the bill. I received a collection bill from a company from the hospital. It was $100 some due. Is it possible just for $100 some ... and sent direct to debt collection? Such an overcharged to patient and made a wrong decision for such a small amount. Very annoying!

Horrible hospital very unprofessional I went to the hospital for a hit and run accident I was involved at work I first went the day after the accident on July the 3 so on July 4 th I went extremely sore they had me in the hallway the whole time I was never in a room !! They gave me some muscle relaxers but did NOT WORK !! Still in extreme pain ,so I went back to the hospital today (July 9) they took my information down then they had us waiting in the waiting room when it was empty , so I finally get called again they have me sitting in the hallway for hours ( 4 hours to be exact ) so the DR comes up I told him what happened that’s when I said can I have a cat scan he said “ foooooor what “ I said for my head I get headaches he said that’s normal in a car accident luckily my boyfriend came back from the bathroom and told that DR she needs a cat scan , the DR denied it at first and I could tell he really didn’t want to give the cat scan he’s exact words were “it’s really expensive “I said my work is paying for it since it happened on the job, next time I need to go to the hospital for any reason I’m going to Milford

I would rather die unattended than suffer such humiliation in the Beebe Emergency Department.

Extremely slow staff . Brought my wife in after a dnc for abdominal pain( could barely walk) drank contrast , told us it would be an hour . Still waiting 3hours later. This is the last time we will be here . Better off going to seaford.

Perfect service, quickly arrived on the call, examined and prescribed treatment.Nice and professional nurses and doctors! Thank you very much!

The doctors and staff don't take patients seriously unless your absolutely dying. They think everyone is out to get pain medicine. They have horrible bedside manners.
