I was brought here with no choice in an ambulance ride. This is the only way this facility should get patients. The air conditioning was broken, it took two days to get a tooth brush, and the "doctor" I saw for five minutes, dr Jamoona is a joke. I stopped going to my follow up visits after he wasted two of my days off and what was his offices first call to me? Did I do my referrals so he can get paid. They have never called to find out why I stopped going to my follow ups. Good thing I didn't have to depend on these people for my life.... I would be dead, but their doctors would be paid.

Broke 5 ribs in a fall... was transferred here due to trauma. What a fabulous experience. Staff is amazing, everyone we came in contact with was helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and kept my hubby updated on all procedures. We cannot say enough about the professional treatment I received. Clean private room and good food made a terribly accident bearable.

My brother was taken there as a trauma patient after he had a seizure and had subdural bleeds requiring craniotomies. He received excellent care in the trauma ICU as well as on the 4 Harmony floor. All the staff were attentive, kind, understanding, and helpful. The communication between the surgeon/doctors and our family could have better, but that is my only complaint. It is clean and provides a high standard of care. Thankfully, he is recovering and going to a rehabilitation center.

Shannon Bailey

My child was denied care. When I ask the doctor his name he refused to tell me. He had a coat covering his badge. Don’t bring your children to AtlantiCare.

I took my brother to the Atlantic city medical center and they were the words from beginning to end when he went to the emergency room the nurse was nasty they try to discharge him three times not knowing what was wrong with him they finally kept him but they had no clue what was wrong with him he was in there from Sunday to Thursday and I had never did a MRI on his back until they were ready to discharge him again and he started having pain so they gave him the MRI they said they didn't find anything and then they kicked him out in pain at 9 o'clock at night with no medication just in pain and to top it all he asked for a walker or a cane and they said they didn't have one so they put him in a wheelchair and that was it to wait for someone to come pick him up if you have to go to any hospital make the extra trip to shore memorial or Pomona.

The staff management everybody was incompetent. I learned my lesson and will travel the other way to virtua hospital in the future.

Surgery waiting section has barely any seating. Been standing here waiting to go back for surgery for over 45 minutes. Everything is dirty and looks like it hasnt been wiped down in a week. Seriously thinking about walking out of here.

Nurse Mathew was very rude and unpleasant to be around. I was transported by the ambulance to the ER. while in his car, he mad inappropriate/unprofessional comments. when I asked for extra blankets due to shivering, he stated there was none but when I asked the doctor he gave it to me. He was not comforting or nurturing at all. He did it even try to assist me and kept saying, “you want to go home right” The security was also rude to my family. They went to sit in the waiting room and fell asleep. I was there from 4am to like 8am. He told them couldn’t be there if patients are discharged (I was not yet). He made them wake up and stay away. He even shut off the TV on them. Worse experience ever.

Great hospital with nice and clean private rooms. Five star nursing care. Compassionate staff.

My grandmother was in a life threatening car accident in late January 2018. We honestly weren’t sure how long she would make it considering her age and all of her broken bones and other injuries. The trauma/icu unit and staff saved her life. I am forever grateful for the staff and all of the care that my grandmother received at this hospital. My family and I would not have wanted her to be anywhere else. She is still in recovery but she might be in worse shape if the helicopter hadn’t gotten her to the hospital and if the staff did not tend to her the way they did. The staff took great care of not only her but they were accommodating to my whole family. The nurses and doctors explained everything to us and helped us move her to the next point of her recovery after two weeks in the hospital. THANK YOU !!!!

Very year for female check mammography. Thanks.

4 stars may be over-rating, what can you say when a loved one is injured and sent here? Not their fault, not pleasant for patient and families. That said, after 5 days, the staff here has bent over backwards to make sure we're safe and comfortable. Extra points for Starbucks kiosk on 1st floor and polite and brisk valet parking. Advice: let the pros do the worrying, you're in good hands here.

Dominque Davis

Staff is very unprofessional, use alot of curse words, their sleeping while they should be checking the patient's out, very ghetto. It's also dirty looking like they don't clean up. They took so long to provide service so me and my wife decided to just leave and go to shore memorial hospital. Very childish, just horrible. Never coming back

I recently spent three days at this hospital after my cat bit me and I developed a severe infection that required hospitalization. The only other time I had ever been in a hospital was when I was born! Plus, this hospital used to have a horrible reputation. So I was understandably scared. But I was amazed at the level of care I received. The staff members were kind, caring and professional across the board. Plus, it is a really beautiful facility. If you live in the area and have to get sick, you will be in very good hands here.

My brother was admitted into the ICU recently and the staff could not have been more professional and caring. Every person that we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The building is very clean and well cared for, I was very pleasantly surprised at the level of care and support provided.

Worked here briefly. Got this "rash" suddenly, not sure if it was from a patient or outside of work, but I went to the ER to get checked out while at work. Some "doctor" came in the room for a brief second just to ask me what I think it is and then wrote a prescription for what I said it possibly might be, which was a shot in the dark. Then he walked out. He seemed so dopey... and dumb. I paid for the prescription and left. Anyway, I received a bill for $137. FOR WHAT. For the dopey doctor that came in my room for 10 seconds? For the guy at the front desk who took down my address, etc.? Dumb. I should've just let the rash go away on its own and saved $137+$20 for prescription.

Nathan Inlow

The staff is the worst in my opinion. No urgency or kindness.

Fast, efficient and friendly outpatient services. Polite and respectful staff. Convenient downtown AC location. Sweet Coffee Bar. Comfortable waiting areas. 24/7 security.

Was in an extremely severe and life-threatening car accident. They saved my life in the few weeks I was here. I could not thank all of the surgeons and nurses enough. I don't remember everyone's name or else I would list them, but nurse Sarah in the CCU was amazing and went above and beyond for me. Brushed my hair, even gave me Christmas presents... the list goes on. There was another nurse that did the same for me, drawing a blank on her name, but you are just as appreciated :) And a huge thank you to every surgeon (Stidd, Bazelwitz, and many more..) -Alexis Ramirez (admitted November 2015)

I have a big fall down and make bad back hurt. This place make me all better and take care of me good

I had an emergency, possibly a stroke on Thanksgiving Day, 22 November 2018. The staff and team were wonderful, absolutely remarkable! Efficient, courteous, responsive to your needs, they were so efficient! My husband and i cannot express enough gratitude to the entire staff at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, in Atlantic City, NJ.

k's beautiful

I will say I have never been dispointed in this place. I have taken my child here a few times and same good results. I will admit their have been a few long wait times for me but it's not always going to be peaches and cream people can only do so much at once. But I was always lucky to have my child in and out . I think we just got lucky because it wasn't busy at those times.

And they wonder why they get called the worst hospital and have low reviews! No respect in care, i guess a broken tooth isn't a emergency or painful in their eyes, even though special dentists is on vacation. Don’t call in the scripts until hours after the fact! and it was only clindamycin, like that's going to help with pain. Thank god for the black market. At least they care about their patients pain. Will always be a one star hospital

Severely understaffed. Spent 6+ hours to be told our situation could not be dealt with, with my husband in horrible pain the entire time. 6 and a half hours for 15 minutes of their time. Avoid if possible.

My 84 year old mother was brought in by ambulance in may of 2018. At first we were pleased with her care but it seemed like all they really wanted to do was keep her as long as they could. She apparently was suffering from severe dehydration. Three days of testing and they still didn't want to release her. They never contacted her heart doctor to review ekgs even though they were given his number on day 2. They put her in a room where she could not shower for 3 days because there was no hot water and didn't feed her til she asked for food. Now after over 40,000 in medical bills I can't even get an explanation as to what was actually done. Never ever would I return to this hospital.

Phi Nguyen

The most worst service, most nurses very nasty, no humanity at all, unprofessional...Facility very dirty! First, I thought may be I had a bad luck meet all these people. Then second time happened to my Mom when I signed Against Medical Advice to bring her to Jefferson Hospital they don’t even let me borrow the wheel chair to carry her to lobby. Now, my father in severe pain at his chest, throw up, dizzy, ... really sick ... lay in ER room almost 6 hours already not even have water or an Tylenol or do something... I took care my Mom at Jefferson Hospital, took care my sister at Minaoppollis, my brother at another hospital ... visited friends at another hospitals I realized this is the MOST WORST HOSPITAL in the country!

Diane Byrnes

My father was in the acuity specialty hospital. The staff is top heavy with management who are incompetent, condescending and patronizing. The nurses and physical therapists were understaffed but for the most part competent. Some more caring than others. One out of the two head nurses was a nightmare. Very, very nasty individual. I would never send a family member there again. There is no one in management available on weekends or holidays either.

Lance Mccormivk

Horrible! Horrendous! They dont idte! They don't care! Papers that I was discharged with, had nothing to do with ANYTHING?? IF YPU ARE ABLE TO GO ELSEWHERE, GO???

I'm here right now with my son who is 3 years old. We came up for a family trip. My son has broken out in some type of rash and patches. He keep jumping out of his sleep and has been complaining about his throat ( which I'm concern it may be feeling like it's closing to him. He has been complaining that it was hurting and he couldn't eat. I have been here over an hour. I have seen drug addicts go back and people wanting pain meds go back. No way in the world should a three years old be still waiting to be seen. They said there are no beds and nowhere to put him. Then how can you constantly be taking others back. At least they could have started the process of blood work. I pray to GOD I never have to need the service of this facility. I have one star for it being nearby.

This place is great. My grandmother was admitted after being in a horrible car crash that resulted in a life threatening breakage in her leg. The staff was very welcoming and the ICU nurses were very good. The surgeon she had was very nice to us and explained how dangerous the procedure would be. However, the surgery went amazing and she is up and walking! These doctors and nurses are amazing.

Noreen Mcbride

I have visited 3 separate friends in this hospital and have been impressed with the quality of care they received

Marlene Oliva

I took my son for an emergency visit and the first lady ( I think her name is Juana ) was very kind when i explained my situation. You see my son , a Marine, was taking the bus to go to his base in about four hours; so I explained that we didn't have that much time. As soon as she finish with the questions, the male nurse ( sorry don't remember his name) called my son right away. We wait like 10 minutes or so and they called him to fast track. The whole process took like an hour. Everyone from the first lady that we saw to the last doctor WERE AMAZING KIND AND PROFESSIONAL...They took care of my son and even we had time to eat something before we said Good bye to him again. SO BRAVO !!! AND THANK YOU FOR CARING...Sincerely Mrs. Oliva

This is the worst hospital ever, save your breath and go to mainland or shore memorial.. .. Pain is a 8/10 and only getting worse and I'm still in the waiting room..they are awful I hate this hospital

Shawnmarie Bryant

This is one of the worst hospitals I have ever came across. I would not want any family members to come here.

Adam Jones

My son Adam Jones was severely injured in a fatal accident on 10/07/2018 in GallowayNew Jersey. Dr. Thompson- RN Gina, and RN Leader Chet wants to discharge him 10/08/2018. I think they’re insane. Would they discharge their child and he can’t walk nor eat. Concussion, body pain, neck brace etc.

Received excellent care at the facility, and if the "experience" had ended there, i would give the facility a four or five star. But the care was followed by THREE separate bills - one for Atlanticare and two for Atlantic Emergency Associates. my insurance paid the Atlanticare and one of the Assoc, and i paid the copays on those two bills. but the third remains open - i have written & called, but they have not provided documentation on why the third bill was issued, and why my insurer did not pay. in fact, all they continue to don is threaten collection action. if you go to this hospital, i believe the emergency treatment will be good. but expect to spend time and money trying to get the billing correct.

I came to the hospital in emergency..in general the emergency room they really seem kind of rude..not concerned of the patients upon arrival..I wasn't given a blanket..a gown with the back out and a woman..no one answered the buzzer ..people just walked back and fourth while I waited for doctor..never took the urine sample with them.the nurse..the nurse never came with the things there supposed to offer u upon arrival..that insurance companies pay for..crazy..the buzzer rang for more than 30 min no response..I was shivering..and other people looked in my room in which I had on a gown and my back amd legs out..terrible..this hospital. There not to welcoming either. The main desk in emergency room they seem to have attitudes.Make u uncomfortable. You just want whatever treatment there going to provide and get out of there.

NEVER NEVER GO HERE - FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT I have a "special report" on Atlantic Care Hospital - HORRIBLE I have a "new" "report" from an "operative" in Atlantic City That he got sick Had infected ankles, shins and knees related to the heatware of summer 2017 Along with a "strange" skin infection with 5 different stages on his body He went to the ER An Older White Haired Doctor (CRAZY SELF-IMPORTANT JERK) making strange comments... On Behalf of the late Mr Alvarez I can tell you that you guys are very professional team specially the 5 Harmony staff. All of the the employees that we have dealt with here are insensitive, unprofessional and condescending....they don't take into account what some families and patients may be going through and they just treat you by their current mood at that time it appears....if you come here I would highly recommend that you get a complete list of all rules for visitors and family members to come see a patient, they tend to be very strict with that and they change the policy and the procedure from room to room minute-to-minute symptom to symptom...which I do understand is necessary to be in place for many reasons but it should be communicated.... Even if you complain to the head of nursing they do a lot of nothing to de-escalate the issue.. also if you have a minute extra to take yourself to shore memorial or to a better hospital instead of Atlantic care (at least not the one in Atlantic City) I would highly recommend doing so.... the people are just not adequately trained with bedside manner here in A.C.... If anybody higher up is reading this I think you should definitely train your employees better on informing policy and procedure and bedside manner definitely needs a huge adjustment here...there's quite a few employees here that just don't belong in the healthcare industry where you're supposed to be empathetic and sympathetic but also keep your professionalism at the same time ....I think it's too much to juggle for quite a few people here... And amazingly after discussing this with a few other people, they seem to feel the same way along with the ratings that it already has from other people I can see that I'm not the only one that has an issue.. might I add we are not homeless people, not addicts or seeking drugs of any sort (not that they deserve any less treatment) we are a working class family that has been treated less than acceptable...in the end I would just like to say that I just went up to the counter very quietly to ask for some more blankets and overheard the nurses all gossiping and talking about my situation!!! If nothing else at the very least if I can hear that I'm sure other patients with closer rooms can also hear that, this is my personal healthcare business..it seems like there's obviously no repercussions ever otherwise I would expect them to be a little bit more discreet...I cannot wait till I write a letter to the director and speak to somebody before I leave here again, GO TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!

sherie reed

I worked there on contract in PIP. Honestly I don't know how this place is a magnet hospital. I literally watched staff punch a patient in the face several times in front of a supervisor. The nurses on that unit are horrible.
