Staff has not been trained on how to handle patient personal lñformation. These breach of imformationhas cause clients undo stress.The majority of staff are arrogant and hostile toward the clients. This is because staff feel as though they are intellectually above their clients Do not look for help from HEPA they do not help people who are harassed because of metal illness. HEPA is a goverment program set up for the rich.If you feel you need help be vary vary carefull where you go to for help. Once you are classifyed, you will always be classifyed. This is one of the hospitals that does not care about their clients personal imformation and how breachs in handling them hurt their clients.

They let people steal all my son clothing and mp3 players, I need to do something about this, I should be reimburse, also they stole his Christmas gifts, these people is getting away, taking other people stuff, I am not for sure, but O know its the staff, doing this, but wat comes around goes around and the wiil get their turn really soon, because I am taking these people to court.

Staff is rude & racist & if you got beaten up by a fellow patient they would side with the one who beat the crap out if you & I wouldn't come back there to get help if it was the last place on earth. I would go somewhere else for help.

This “institution” is incredibly depressing as you drive through, no decorations for the seasons, giving the patients a sense of well-being. The staff are not on the same page and communication is not passed on properly. Sometimes I have to wonder if the workers have any form of education under their belts as they do not know how accountability and oversight works. Sedating and zombifying the patients is not treating them it’s pacifying them for a time being. What can you expect from a place where the justice system has investigated them over four times... *sigh* mental health in NJ doomed.....

First..I would love to know why the first visual you see online for this Hospital...is a CEMETARY SIGN??? REALLY? That REALLY makes me worry more about my Son who was just transferred to this place. Also...I am also very concerned about all of the Negative comments made about Ancora. I definitely will be going to see him this weekend. I live in Bucks County, Pa...it took us almost 2 1/2 hrs to get to the last place he was in Bridgeton But..I HAVE TO SEE THIS PLACE AND CHECK EVERYTHING ELSE. As a kid growing up in Pine Hill then Williamstown there were bad accusations going around about Ancora then. I am now actually Afraid to see where he is! Ok..thats enough..I will let u know what I think when I see and hear how the staff treats me.

The staff is rude, lazy and down right unprofessional. The patients are treated poorly. You can't have nice things because patients and staff will steal things from your room. The staff just sit around and chitchat for hours while the patients are neglected..

This Facility is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!!! The staff needs to be retrained altogether! They ARE RUDE, INSENSITIVE, NON PASSIONATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! THE VERY REASON THE HOSPITAL IS OPEN, IS BECAUSE OF THE PATIENTS AND FOR THEIR CARE AND WE'LL BEING. BUT THEY ARE TREATED INHUMANE AND IGNORED!!! THE DAILY ROUTINE IS JUST TO MEDICATE AND GET THEM OUT YOUR( AND BY YOUR..I MEAN THE STAFF THAT IS SUPPOSEDLY HIRED TO HELP THEM) WAY. THERE IS NO REAL TREATMENT, COUNSELING, OR ONE ON ONE TO REALLY GET TO KNOW THE PATIENTS OR WHAT MAY WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS/ HER TREATMENT. MEDICATION IS JUST GIVEN WITH NO PRECAUTION THAT MAYBE...JUST MAYBE IT MAY NOT WORK FOR THAT PARTICULAR CLIENT AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ALTOGETHER!! WHO IS LOOKING OUT FOR THE PATIENTS?? WELL IT SHOULD BE THE PATIENT ADVOCATES..BUT OFTEN TIMES THEY LOOK OUT FOR THE HOSPITALS BEST INTERESTS!! CALLING TO TALK TO THE STAFF HAS BEEN A DISASTER..THEY COULD CARE LESS. THERE IS NO REAL ENGAGING THE CLIENTS, JUST THESE SO CALLED GENERIC GROUP'S AND SITTING THEM IN FRONT OF A T.V. IN A DREARY DAY ROOM TO WATCH THE NEWS, JEOPARDY, WHEEL OF FORTUNE OR THINGS OF THE LIKE. THE FOOD THEY FEED THEM IS DISGRACEFUL, YOU USED TO BE ABLE TO AT LEAST TAKE THEM FOOD...BUT NOW YOU ONLY CAN PURCHASE FROM THEIR FACILITY! IT BAFFLES ME HOW INDIVIDUALS GO INTO A CERTAIN CAREERS LIKE PHYSICIANS, NURSING, CAREGIVERS, HUMAN SERVICES BUT ACT AS THOUGH THEY DON'T LIKE HUMAN'S!! THEY DON'T DISPLAY ANY CARE OR PASSION ESPECIALLY WITH THE MENTALLY ILL CONSUMER!! THE STATE IS SUPPOSEDLY MANAGING THESE HOSPITALS AND LOOKING OUT FOR THE PATIENTS AND THEIR CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS, BUT THEY DON'T!! THESE PATIENTS ARE NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND ARE OFTEN DEGRADED BELITTLED AND MISTREATED!!! THEREFORE I WILL ALWAYS BE AN ADVOCATE FOR THEM!! ANCORA SHAME ON YOU!!!!

If I could give a negative number it would be like -100. That place is hell and many of the people working there are evil. Many of the patients are mistreated by the compassionless staff. Pray for the patients to get well* so they can be free.

Don’t ever send your loved ones there for help or geriatric care the staff doesn’t care abusive towards patients & patients are abusive towards one another. This place needs to be overhauled & staff has to get better training. Or shut the whole place down.

I only know of what I have been told about there. It never seemed too rosey. However, I was held for a while in Sainte Anne in Paris for a spell. When I left there I had a "new" fibula in my leg because it was so shattered after an "accident", it still has to be held together with 11 - 13 screws. If I try to survive dysthymia or PTSD, I still might find a reason to alleviate my ages old call for suicide.

Staff are abusive and get away with hurting the patients. They do nothing but sit on their ass. The administration threatens you. They refuse to allow charges you press on the workers to go through. They punish you for being I'll. They encourage racism. The staff also encourage others patients to heat up the patients they do not like with no consequences for the ones who attack. Shut this place down they hurt people for no reason.

My favorite part of ancora were all of my friends. They were generous, friendly, and they never let me down. I don't care if no one else could see them.
