I was there in September, 1950 when it was called Grace-New Haven Hospital. I got the best treatment there. I was not overstretched like I was at Newington Home for Crippled Children. The hot packs were not scalding and even the maintenance men were friendly giving us kids toys to play with in our beds. My physical therapist was great. I finally worked hard and ended up using only two short crutches but now with Post-Polio I get around very well in an electric wheelchair and scooter. I was blessed by God and this hospital. I'm sorry that others have not had the same good experience as I but we're all only human. It made me appreciate what I do have more-eyes to see beauty, ears to hear great music, a mouth to pray to God with and thank Him for all my blessings and a mind that works most of the time-just kidding. I now live in St. Petersburg, FL as I cannot take the cold weather. I do miss the changes in weather and the mountains-Green Giant, West Rock, Mystic, Bristol where my father's family lived and fought during the Civil War. God bless Connecticut!

The doctors and staff there are very professional and kind my baby girl was born premature and had an bacterial infection they treated her and thanks to the doctors and god she is healthy and growing everyday becoming stronger. I will always be greatful

Came in with 1 year old grandson with fever of 105!! They Gave him Tylenol over 2 hours ago No one has even came in to check if fever has gone down or check anything on him

I have been here almost 10 times with a recurring croup on our child. EVERY time was amazing. As a parent who is bringing a child to the ER( by ambulance two times), everyone from the parking, to the security officers, nurses doctors and cleaning staff were HIGHLY professional, comforting, and helpful. As odd as this sounds, our child likes the hospital because he gets snacks and a toy. Any facility that can hire great staff and create a smile on the face of a very sick child is a five star operation in my book!

I am appalled that a hospital that is known for their expertise did not evaluate my daughter's symptoms but just told us to go home with a popsicle in her hand. Thank you but we did not need the popsicle we needed answers, help, and attention. I am irate with anger that I brought my daughter under my doctor's orders because we feared dehydration and knew that something else is going on after two weeks of vomiting and diarrhea, and left with no answers. It doesn't take a brain to understand that something is wrong. My child has not eaten in two weeks either. Instead of running tests for an infection I was told to leave and come back if the symptoms persisted. Obviously they are persisting that's why we came. This was wrong. Very wrong.

Big thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Yale New Haven Pediatric Hospital. These folks are pros. Some great things: free valet parking for surgery patients, good toys and TVs in the waiting rooms, coin rewards system with little prizes for different tasks that the kids need to do, optional auto-text messages to reassure you that the surgery is going as expected, great artwork (even on the ceiling) and, most importantly, people who love kids and know how to deal with them effectively. Hats off!!! Would highly recommend.

so far i arrived around 6:36 for my son's sleep study at 7 they made it seem that as soon as you pop up they are gonna start the process for the sleep study ..it is 6:53 and they keep telling me i have to wait for the doors to open and my 4 year old is restless and whining :((

In a hospital where you bring children, the people with least patience of any of us, a valet parking that take more than 30 minutes to get your car is unacceptable. The staff just doesn’t care, is cold so you can’t stay outside, the worst expierence!

If I could give zero stars I would. My infant daughter came in tonight barely able to breathe due to coughing non stop. After a 2 hour wait, we were finally called to the back to be placed in a room to wait some more. I guess her extreme coughing was disturbing others. I would have made it back to NY and had her seen in less time

Very, very slow service…it should not take over 4 hours to get results from a urine sample! This is unacceptable service for a place dedicated to emergencies such as a hospital (specifically for children and minors). Even a regular hospital with 24 hour service should not be so slow, but this one’s for children…the staff needs to act faster.

We took our children to Connecticut Childrens Medical Center. We always dealt with rude and unprofessional staff including Doctors. Too many issues and concerns that I can't write down. We came to Yale for a second opinion regarding my sons condition and surgery. And to our surprise all the hospital staff from valet parking to Doctors were outstanding and very dedicated. My son did not need surgery and is better than ever thanks to Yale. A complete 180 in the right direction compared to CCMC. It's a 45 minute drive to Yale and no complaints from me. I know my kids are safe and in great care.

Brought my daughter for a sensitive test here. They had no record of her appointment, although i had multiple phone calls and emails with their team about it, and the prep instructions. We waited two hours while they got their act together. We then waited 45 minutes for a doctor scheduled procedure, while my daughter cried in pain. The next 45 minutes of the procedure, which was only supposed to have "slight discomfort" i watched my daughter scream in pain for 45 minutes. No one in the room seemed to even know what to do. It was a bizarre and horrible experience. To create an environment with bright painted walls, clowns walking around, child specialists--yet to miss on the major important stuff like being on time so a child doesn't have to unnecessarily suffer-- seems bizarre. I would never want another loved on there.
