It's an very good hospital in my hometown. The hospital staff is always an very nice, polite, good-looking, and responsible. I have been there lots of times for my ankle surgery, and other things there at the hospital like visiting an gift shop.

My husband went into anaphylactic shock. The medic saved his life but had to transport him to Rockville Hospital where we incured an over $2,000 bill for the doctor to tell him didn't know what happened and to see a specialist...spent less than 5 mins with us. Double the price of the ambulance medic who actually administered life saving medicine. Oh and come to find out they are supposed to keep you for at least 4 hours to ensure you don't have a second attack...we were there for 40 mins.

Emergency nurse staff Sandy was kind be and lovely, Dr. D'Angelo saw us quickly. X-Ray tech was nice. All the bad reviews on the hospital an ER had me worried but our experience was great.

Worse hospital I've ever been to. The nurses and nurses' aides have little to no care. Have to pester them to get anything done. All they do is sit around the nurse's station and gossip.

If i could I would give this place -5. I went there last month with chest pain, they ran all these tests and dc me back home with instructions to take pepto. A month later I had a heart attack and thank God the paramedics took me to Saint Francis and not Rockville or I would probably be dead. I had to go back there today because my chronic calf pain returned as my trigger point injections wore off. This E.R doctor told me he can’t do anything for me and had the stones (I’m on blood thinners because of the heart attack) to offer me anti-inflammatory medication....I just looked at him and left...Stop treating your patients who are in pain like they are trying to get one over you, some of us are really in pain and need help...if I could take ibuprofen or if the extra strength Tylenol would have worked I would never showed up to the E.R. Last time I go there for anything!!!

I’ve been sitting in the Rockville ER for TWO AND HALF HOURS, and guess what? I still haven’t seen the TRIAGE NURSE!!!! Most urgent goes first, blah blah I get it. But I’m in excruciating pain from serious a fall. I have an artificial hip, both shoulders, neck and back in serious pain, and they just took a woman who wanted to see if she was dehydrated. I should've stayed on the floor and called 911. Reviews, you have to choose at least one star. I would’ve liked to mark ZERO.

Came to the emergency room a few days ago to get my blood drawn, came home and woke up the next day with a gaint blood blister and an electric shock type pain shooting all the way up my arm it’s been 4 days and it’s getting much worse, I can’t even straighten my arm without a terrible pain. I called the hospital two days after I got it done to ask if i needed to be concerned and the nurse on the phone was extremely rude and told me that the pain I was feeling doesn’t even correlate and that I shouldn’t even think about visiting the er because of it. Basically called me a liar and showed absolutely no compassion or sympathy. She told me that she couldn’t help me or talk to me over the phone even though I got “treated” there!

Great staff, everyone I spoke with was very helpful, and seemed to genuinely care. That said, the 6+ hours spent in the ER was a bit much for a cat-scan and blood work. No complaints with the facility or equipment being used, only the slow turnaround.

I did something to my foot running down my stairs (broken or fractured), went to the ER at Rockville thinking that they could help. Unfortunately, the receptionist (Vince or Vance was his name) was very incompetent and rude. After giving him my insurance card he continued to ask my last name and birth date, which I verbally told him both, he continued to say that he couldn'tt find me and he told me it was neccessary that I write it all down, including my social security number (then left it in plain sight on the counter for others to easily view). A gentleman in his mid 70's came up to the desk and asked him for help, Vince said "I don't know where the staff is, you'll have to sit down", next thing I know the elderly patient had fallen face first onto the floor. My father and I had to help him up, no staff member even came to help. After helping the elderly gentleman up I asked why Vince didn't help, or call for help, he responded by saying "I'm in complete control of you, and him (the man that fell), and that he could wait on the floor for his turn". At that point, breaking HIPPA protection laws, watching a vietnam vet fall on the floor and do nothing, as well as his inability to accuratly record my information I felt as if staying in that facility would jeapordize my safety, I asked for my insurance card back, he audibly laughed at me, and I walked out on a very painful broken foot to choose a safer hospital. As I was leaving a woman had discharged herself and was outside, she said that she had been having trouble breathing and after 3 hours still hadn't been seen, and was having a friend take her to another facility where she could obtain the care she needed. It is truly frightening to see such incompetance at a place that should be known for compassion, diagnosis, and healing. Be very careful if you're forced to visit Rockville Hospital.

RGH may have had some growing pains in the last few years but I still think they provide appropriate care. My dad was taken care of during his last stay and the staff was there as needed and helpful with paperwork. I would give the ICU 5 stars alone. However, there is always that waiting factor in the ER, PromptCare, blood draw, and radiology.

The emergency room is slow, even when your the only person there. When I had a bad infection they didn't do anything except give prescription for antibiotics. We ended up going to Hartford Hospital instead, who had handled the situation way better, receiving surgery and proper treatment. Only good thing from Rockville Hospital is the food.

Wonderful phone system never calls you back. Can't get through to a real person. Overcharged because they are sending the insurance company the wrong tax ID, so they show up as out of network.

I had my hernia surgery there this morning with Dr.Karabinis and I had nothing but the best experience. Everyone was attentive and took care of me 100 % My nurse Debbie was fantastic !!!! I know that while everyone has their own different experinces (I read some of the reviews before having my procedure sone here) I was more than pleased with the service from everyone I came in contact with. On the mend,thank you so much !

I was here for one day surgery and I was taken care of very well. They were very polite and helpful the whole time I was there. The nursing staff especially Donna and Debbie who were very nice and accommodating even when my ride took 3 hours to come and get me. I recommend them highly.

Honest to God people, I wouldnt bring my dog to this hospital. Doctors there or under knowledged. I had a cut open thumb and they stitched it back together when they weren’t supposed to, two days later I came back with infection. They had to undo the stitches for the infection to go away.

This hospital is no good at all. They don’t tell you the full truth when things are wrong. Also, I was calling to check up on my mom who is in surgery and they hung up on me. Not pleased with this hospital at all. Not to mention a lot of the nurses and doctors are very rude.

The "Same Day Surgery" department for GI has the friendliest and most caring nurses in the entire ECHN network. I come here every three years to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy as ordered by my gastroenterologist. I have never been made to feel like a job in the surgical queue. All of the nurses are courteous, mindful and attentive to my concerns and comfort. Nurses Michelle, Elena, and Pam are super nice. They treated me like I was a family member. Doctor Keri Pinnock, the gastroenterologist who performed my last procedure is an adorable angel with a warm smile. Even though I lived closer to Manchester Hospital, I prefer to travel and have these GI procedures performed at Rockville General because of excellent people who work here. From the moment you enter through their doors, you are immediately greeted by helpful people who will ask and walk with you to your destination within the hospital. Highly recommended if you need a colonoscopy and/or endoscopy procedure.

So upset at this hospital. My brother went to the ER and was admitted. He has open wounds and needs to be patched up daily. I went to the nurse station on friday and told them his patches havent been changed. He had been in since Wed to Saturday. Still no one has changed them. Very upset at this hospital and their staff.

My friend is a 24 year old diabetic and was having very severe stomach pains followed by nausea. When we arrived at the "emergency" department he was moaning and crying because of all the pain he was in. He was throwing up as well. It was 90 degrees outside and he felt very dizzy. The "nurse" and secretary were extremely nonchalant about it. He was the only one in the waiting room and the secretary and nurse were laughing and hanging out in the lobby not paying him any mind. This is not a real hospital. If you have a true and serious emergency do not come here. They are not official and do not fit the description of a hospital setting. Over all poor experience. I do not recommend.
