Dr. Mark Camel is excellent. So impressed; including the staff at ONS. Very grateful for all the help and guidance I received. Highly recommend. To all the staff members supporting Dr. Camel; thank you thank you.

I have been here before when I broke my elbow. The treatment was pretty good. Went again today and was referred by Greenwich Hospital to see a hand specialist, Dr. Cantlon for my Platform Tennis injury (Safety tip: Never dive headfirst on a Paddle court when you are in your late 40's). I made my appointment (needed a referral from my primary care Dr.), and showed up about 20 minutes early. There were some issues with the Patient Portal app online (it's not great) and I needed to fill out additional paperwork. They helped me do it because I was in a cast and couldn't write with my hand. There was also an issue with my referral not at the office. I had the Dr's ID number for my insurance so one of the women there helped me out and was able to pull the referral info from the system. Bottom line, even though everything was done be sure and double check. Yes, there were a few glitches, but the level of service there even before I saw the Doc. was wonderful. Super-helpful staff. Saw the Dr. a few minutes early - impressive. Dr. Cantlon was terrific. He spent time with me, asking me questions, clarifying info and asking me if I understood. Got additional Xrays (tech was great too) which showed no break. So I was happy. Very happy. Hopefully I don't have to go back, but Greenwich ONS (Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists), the staff, and Dr. Cantlon (Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon) were great. Highly recommended.

Professional, friendly, caring facility. They explains all details to procedures. They don't rush you into having sugery. Excellent pre and post services.

The doctors here are great! However, I dropped a form in the medical office front desk, and two days later I came back to pick it up....unexpectedly, they have lost the form which contained personal/sensitive information, this is unacceptable! Specially now a days. You guys can do better, I am sure.

Just took my daughter to an appointment with Dr. Tim Greene after a disappointing appointment at another orthopedic office not affiliated with ONS. If I was able to...I would give Dr. Greene and ONS a rating much higher than 5 Stars. I could not have been more impressed with every aspect of my daughters care. The offices were clean & the staff was extremely welcoming & friendly. We were brought into the exam room early which in most cases doesn't happen at a doctors office. Dr. Greene came in and listened to our concerns/issues, examined our daughter and was in absolutely no rush to move on to his next patient. He answered all of our questions, explained the X-Rays to us and expressed genuine care for her injury and treatment. He made sure we understood everything and had a plan going forward. We also had concerns about how to schedule MRI's and other testing. He immediately sent a note to someone on his team to help us. We sat with Jessica who took her time and made all the arrangements for us. She also followed up the next day with info we needed to make sure everything was done right. About 3 hours after our appt. with Dr. Greene my wife and I had a question we forgot to ask. We called the office after Dr. Greene had left but a message was taken and I was assured either Dr. Greene or his assistant would call back the next day. They called in the morning and answered everything for us. Being an athlete and also a firefighter I have seen a lot of orthopedic surgeons and have been to many practices and I can say this was one of the best experiences I have had. In my opinion they go way above the standard of care. I would highly recommend Dr. Greene to anyone who may need orthopedic care.

Having awful hip pain and when trying to make an appt was told there was a wait WHEN Michael H went out of his way and called me back to offer me a cancellation for tomorrow! I am thrilled I can see the surgeon tomorrow but even more so with Michael H. that he went out of his way to provide true customer service! ONS you are lucky to have such an individual in your office. Thank you Michael!

Dr. Wei is the best. He is a warm and kind individual and clearly knows what he is doing. He diagnosed and took care of my problem quickly and, if you have to see a doctor for hand problems, I recommend him highly.

I have been a patient since 2004 with Dr. Clain. He has done amazing things with my ankle. I don't think I would be walking today if it wast not for his expert surgery procedures. Thank you Dr. Clain

I went to ONS after experiencing lower back pain. I received x-rays and an MRI. My doctor (Dr. Sahler) left information out of my MRI, and only told me I had a small bulge in my spine. He neglected to mention it could be a herniated disc or arthritis. I am still dealing with the repercussions of his negligence. Nice guy but didn't seem to go the extra mile to help me out.

I have been going through chronic pain from a 14 year old injury for years because I got so used to it I didn’t realize how used to it I had gotten. For the last 2 1/2 it became Debilitating and I’ve gone to SO MANY doctors with no answers or guidance except physical therapy and meds and stretching! CLEARLY wasn’t helping. One day I saw ad for ONS on tv then a billboard on the west side highway and decided it’s worth one more try. While they didn’t have insurance compatibility yet in Harrison which is more convenient for me to be honest so was a little annoyed but they did in Greenwich and I went to see Dr. Heftler I ran couple minutes late and was strsssing because usually offices in doctors are so rude when you run late to fill off papaerwork abd she couldn’t have been more patient, understanding and put me at ease. My first visit he was super helpful asked me no other doctors had. Perscribed me something no one else had that helped and helped to slowly deduce. I’ve had 5 MRIs and not one doctor asked if I did with contrast until him. I did and found the problem. Now onto next steps. I couldn’t be more relieved, grateful, validated and appreciative. Thank you so thinking outside the box to figure it out. You have no idea what you did for me. I will recommend this establishment to everyone I know for anything relating.

I had total knee replacement in both knees by Dr. Berliner. He is an excellent surgeon and was great at explaining and guiding me through what to expect. He welcomed my questions and understood my concerns. His office staff was amazing in every situation.......Best decision I ever made

Elizabeth Wayne

I was super disappointed with my experience with Dr. Kavanagh. I felt like a number, rather than a patient, and received no personalized care. I left with no advice to improve my knee issues after being seen for less than 5 minutes. He assessed my knees for 20-30 seconds and then sent me for an x-ray. It felt like he was just trying to make money. He was also seeing 3-4 other patients at the same time as he was seeing me.

Giselle White

I switched providers to Dr. Heftler after a bad experience elsewhere and the Dr/ONS lived up to its excellent reputation and beyond. I can’t believe I wasted time going anywhere else. Such a relief. Thank you!

I recently had bunion/hammer toe surgery with Dr. Clain. My experience from the initial consultation to several months post op has been excellent. Dr. Clain is caring, kind and top of the line at what he does. The nurses, front desk help and physical therapy at ONS has been awesome as well. I really appreciate the very good care I have had with Dr. Clain and ONS!

Not happy with my experience with ONS/Dr. Wei. The actual visit was fine! Trying to get my x-rays including the one I took to his office and forgot in his exam computer has been a nightmare. The Prescription provided by Dr. Wei was extremely vague and the x-rays are needed. I am almost paying another co-pay and just getting new x-rays. In this day and age, burning a CD image should not be this difficult.

Dr Greene was great but the billing has become a nightmare. I have a high deductible plan. The front office staff and to some extent the woman scheduling the MRI assured me they wouldn't do an MRI if I was going to have to pay for it because it was somewhat proactive anyway. Later on a call re the bill the director of finance admitted they have an employee that is supposed to call before the MRI to walk you through the cost. This person never called. The director also said they run into this a lot with high deductible plans. Now they basically want to have a condescending conversation explaining I'm responsible because it was covered but I owe 90% of the $900 because of I have a high deductible plan. Who cares if it's covered? Patients care whether their insurance company is going to pay for it. Stop acting like you're providing a service by just checking if it's covered. It's not that I don't understand a high deductible plan. It's that they just basically quickly checked if it was covered so they could schedule the MRI. The staff tries to be so service oriented but they at best irresponsibly and arguably unethically scheduled the MRI without properly verifying whether or not I would be responsible for the payment. I could have done this myself but they really were somewhat aggressive about reassuring me that they would check. Now I've received 3 follow up calls to go on the payment plan. When the staff tells you they'll take care of the billing believe me they'll take care of it but it won't be to prevent you from paying for an MRI. It will be to check if it's "covered" so they can do the MRI regardless of whether you're going to pay for it.

Great experience. Dr.Clain is at the top of his field, is knowledgeable and caring and a true perfectionist. Surgery was so well performed, follow up and healing monitored consistently and thoughtfully. Staff is terrific and always available for questions.

With two hip replacements in 10 months I can not say enough about Dr. Berliner and ONS. Professional, caring and superb quality of care. Would recommend Dr. Berliner and ONS to anyone with orthopedic concerns.

Ron Tobias

Sixteen years ago I had a total hip replacement with Dr. Kavanaugh at ONS in Greenwich and it was a great experience with no pain killers needed after the surgery. A little less than a year ago I had a total knee replacement with the same surgeon with the same type of result. I am planning to have another total knee replacement for my other knee and would not consider anyone else other than Dr. Kavanaugh and OND

I feel like I’ve gotten my life back after having back surgery performed by Dr. Fiore. He was honest, thorough, patient and kind. I was able to walk without pain the day after surgery and slowly (you have to take it easy for 6 weeks) learned how to move, bend and use my body correctly with physical therapy. Thank you Dr. Fiore

It's difficult for me to believe or understand the complete failure of this group to deal with me professionally or even courteously. I called with 2 simple but important questions related to dealing with pain and starting physical therapy - I made a followup call. Four days have passed no resolution. What type of physician's office would do this?

Woodie Stevenson

I have had very good experience with Dr Clain on foot surgery. He worked on my right foot. The foot is perfect to me. I just completed surgery on my left foot with him. The team is attentive. Pain control is good- my block lasted. We are hoping for a similar fine result on this left foot as we have on the right. Fingers crossed. I have great trust in Dr Clain.

My experience with ONS and Dr. Delos has been outstanding in every way. I had been suffering with osteoarthritis in my knees and was looking for a second opinion. During my first appointment with Dr. Delos and after his review of my x-rays and my medical history, he thoughtfully explained all of my options and we worked together to determine next steps. My condition was advanced and I had already tried medication and physical therapy which had not relieved my pain. I tried cortisone injections next, but this too proved to be of limited value and my ability to walk and degree of pain worsened. I ultimately decided to request bilateral knee replacement. Again, Dr. Delos went over everything with me in a patient and clear manner with all of the risks and benefits identified. I felt confident and prepared after our appointment and I knew that if I played my part both in prepping for and participating in the hard work after surgery, that I could return to a normal life. The entire ONS team was incredibly organized and helpful in every way. In no time, I was scheduled for surgery, booked for a pre-surgery class and all my questions were answered. Each person I interacted with was friendly, competent and caring. My surgery at Greenwich Hospital was a complete success. Dr. Delos and his team did an amazing job and the staff at the hospital was fantastic. I could not have asked for more. Today, 5 months after surgery, I am walking normally and without pain. I am continuing to exercise and follow the advice provided by my physical therapists and with each month that goes by I continue to be amazed at how different my life is than it was at this time last year. This surgery gave me my life back and I am forever grateful to Dr. Delos and his team of dedicated professionals for making that happen.

Today was my 1st visit to see Dr. Carlton and he has such a great bedside manor, he's gentle soft spoken, and easy on the eye lol. In all seriousness I really appreciate him and his staff taking such great care of me, and let me add no wait time which is very important to those of us who work.

The Doctors are first rate, but the back office is a nightmare. All calls are routed to doctors’ assistants and in my case they are seldom answered. On one occasion I needed the intervention of my internist to arrange an appointment, and more recently I called three times without a response. In the meantime, my post-operative question goes unanswered.

I was told when I got to my appointment that ONS did not take my insurance (Medicare based PPO), and I would have to pay before leaving. I asked how much it would cost and receptionist said it was up to the doctor and she didn't know. After the appointment I went to check out and it was $195. I didn't have the money and didn't know what to do. I said, this is really expensive, and the billing person said, "You're lucky the doctor didn't charge you $350 which is the charge for a first time patient." I called my insurance company and they said I should only have to pay the $40 deductible for out-of-network doctor. I have a PPO and can go to any doctor or specialist that I choose. If I paid the doctor first and the bill was submitted to my insurance by their office, it would take 30-60 days for me to get reimbursement, and I can't afford to wait that long. The doctor's office billing person got upset with me when I said that my insurance told me I should only have to pay the deductible and then she said she was calling someone in the billing dept. to come talk to me. That woman came into the office and pulled me into a separate office and closed the door, kind of like being pulled into the principal's office. She went over the procedures and said ONS does not take Medicare and I would have to pay. I said I don't have enough money, and broke down crying. I explained that I have a disability and can't work, and I have a child who is disabled and my family doesn't have a lot of money, and is there any way to please bill my insurance company. She made a phone call to the manager of the billing department and told me she could bill my insurance directly, but JUST THIS ONE TIME. I told her that the doctor told me he could help my problem, but the injection is $5,000. I asked her that if I need the injection, would I have to pay ONS $5,000 before I leave that appointment, and she said, yes, she couldn't guarantee that they would submit the bill for me again. A humiliating, degrading, and upsetting experience all around. I left in tears. Now I finally found a doctor who can help me and I can't pay out of pocket first for the treatment. They would get reimbursed 100%, I'm not asking for a discount or free service. But now, I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess healthcare is only for the rich.

Multiple surgeries here and it's been wonderful every time from start until completion of physical therapy.

I have had surgery with Dr. Miller on my shoulder a couple of years ago and he was excellent However that's where the excellence stopped. I went to ONS with severe neck pain and saw a Dr. Fiore His solution was to take and x Ray and send me to physical therapy. The physical therapy was horrible without any interest on the part of the therapist. She spent 10 minutes with me and then passed me off to her assistant who was totally disinterested and spent time texting the entire time. I then went to see a Dr. Levchenko D.O. He was told by Dr. Fiore to give me trigger point injections. They did nothing.. I went back to see Dr. Levchenko D.O. And he said I needed the next level of injections that would be steroids into the bone. Before doing this he wanted to do an MRI as a precaution that there was no tumor in the neck area. My pain is excruciating and ONS did absolutely nothing. I never went back and all they want to do is camoflouge the pain and set you up for surgery. My problem is still getting worse and I am very disappointed in the lack of good physicians at this location. If I could give then zero stars I would.

Arnold Eventoff

I recently saw Dr. Vitale for a wrist injury. Dr. Vitale is not only extremely knowledgeable, nice to work with, but he explained my situation and told me how to deal with the problem without the need for surgery. He is an outstanding physician and person. I highly recommend him especially for hand issues.

Dr sees you in timely manner

Good doctors but find another place to have your MRI done. They scheduled us for a 2:30pm appointment and said "we'll see you at 2:30pm". We were on the highway about 5 min away from ONS at 2:15pm and they called my wife's cell and said don't bother coming, you're late! Say what?? Very un-customer friendly, zero flex, pretty rude.

Janice Murphy

Dr Apostolides performed surgery on my spine following an a car accident . Within 5 minutes on my first visit he explained exactly what my injuries were and what my options were and his dynamite communication style and genuine personality made me feel that he knew his stuff inside and out and that I could trust any recommendations he offered. I felt he wanted me to feel better not sell me a certain procedure. My surgery was successful and He encouraged me to work on a recovery mindset and not my surgery and pain. He has an upbeat personality and a good sense of humor. If you are having spine pain or other complications with the back I recommend Dr Apostolides as a very competent physician who is an ethical and talented physician.

I was extremely happy with the services of ONS. I never waited for appointments and the doctors did not seemed rushed when they talked to me. The big thing of course is that Dr Fiore was able to diagnose and repair a back problem that other doctors had missed, and that I am again able to walk without pain. I didn't have an easy time of it, but the ONS office always responded to me. The PAs were all well informed and compassionate. I liked the fact the Greenwich practice had everything there..MRI, Neurologists, etc so I did not have to go to many different places to be treated. I could not have asked for more.

Thomas Fanelli

I walked into the office of Dr. Kowalsky, as a first time patient without an appointment, he saw me in less than ten minutes, sent me to the hospital, ordered tests and operated the next day. During my recovery he was always available to see me and answer all of my questions. He and his staff always made me comfortable, it was like dealing with family.
