Spectacular service.. the whole cardiology department was FLAWLESS. Amazing demeanor especially when I was writhing in pain. Mrs. Zucchini was the absolute best!!

(Translated by Google) I'm here with my sister took a week and all staff including parking have been very very friendly and cordial. I see those negative comments and think we should be grateful to have hozpitales in other countries is very different and people die at home because they do not have as many facilities. I congratulate all staff (from janitors to doctors and administrators) that allow the hospital every day that we can meet us here. Keep up the good and excellent work. Sigan haciendo tan buena y excelente labor.

The food was trash but everything else was gucci

My husband has had 2 hip replacement surgeries at DH. Both good experiences with Sanja Gupta. We loved the private room post surgery. Our son was on the oncology floor for weeks and for the most part received excellent care. There’s alway outstanding staff you feel so grateful for and few who are in the wrong field of work. Dr. Cooper was the absolute wonderful doctor who has since retired. The food was good. The menu was great. DH emergency room is awful. Dr. Black gave me two totally wrong diagnosis the two times I was there by ambulance. DH also sent our son home 2 x when in reality he had stage 2 brain cancer and we didn’t know for months later when I insisted on an mri. Of course we went to Sloan after that. All in all I’m grateful the hospital is close by. Bottom line is YOU have to manage your health care.

Debra Hayes

Never again coming here. I’m sitting in the ER 2 hours waiting to be seen as I watch everyone that came in after me get called in. 104 fever, chills, body ache, curled in a ball don’t take precedent. You can die here.

The best hospital by far! Great highly skilled staff would never entertain the thought of going to another hospital! Poo Poo on you Danbury Hospital haters! This hospital took very good care of my dad and me when we had our surgeries! Kudos Danbury Hospital and staff my hats off to you !!!!!!

HIDEOUS EMERGENCY ROOM. Just HIDEOUS. I was unable to walk on the way in AND on the way out, yet somehow, no one ordered one test. I never saw an actual physician. Rather, I saw a physician's assistant for less than 5 minutes and who examined by back while I was seated and through my shirt. I saw 1 nurse twice for seconds per visit. Post ER visit, Now it's more doctor's visits for the tests that should have been performed while I was already in a facility (Danbury ER), more visits to more physicians, etc. The bill to my insurance provider for 10 minutes with a PA, 2 minutes with a nurse and 1 shot of pain medication was $3,406.70 This place is a joke. If you're looking for medical "care" go elsewhere.

I went to the hospital with my boyfriend for his shortness of breath and tight chest A YEAR AGO. We waited HOURS for test and results from a doctor who asked if my boyfriend had a pain on his leg i’m assuming to see if had a pulmonary embolism but he had no pain so i’m assuming the doctor disregarded that. He said that my boyfriend had pleurisy which we already knew by looking it up ON GOOGLE. We wanted to know what was the cause of this and he said it usually has to do with a bacterial infection...he said he had no idea where the plerseury was coming from. He gave us a packet of what pleusiry was which I COULD FIND ON GOOGLE. we were dismissed with basically NO results and no cause of his shortness of breathe. A YEAR LATER, I found out the cause of his pleusiry which did have to do with a bacterial infection but the “doctor” didn’t even bother to ask about his past with infections when we were there. Thanks for dismissing us with no help. My boyfriend has been in chest pain for the past year and we have had no idea why. I cannot believe as a nursing student I actually figured it out with GOOGLE! complete waste of time and money.

I took a patient to the infusion department at the Danbury hospital and he was treated very well. I also saw them serving lunch i have never seen that it was looking good to me. They take care of their patient doesn't matter what state orform they are in they are treated well, loved that , that is good to see

Alexander Westerman

It's hard to love a hospital but this seems like a fairly decent place. The staff are attentive nurturing and caring. But those are common attributes of any healthcare provider or they should be. I'm not sure how to review a hospital. Is it based on level of care? Is it based on one patient never returning again because they get better? Is it based on survival rate?

Lou Bambach

Unfortunately I have been to this hospital a few times but they consistently have an excellent nursing staff and caring physicians. The security and check in procedures are a little slow but totally reasonable. Ongoing construction projects make parking and the longer walk traversing the towers and hallways a bit of a nuisance but the signage makes it clear where to go and the guards and staff are always helping those who need it. cafeteria hours and food are below average so I recommend you bring your own food especially if its late or early.

Ellen Blasi

The staff took my symptoms seriously although not enthusiastically. One of the doctors really stepped up and worked with me to resolve the issue with a "How can I fix this attitude", not a "How can I get this off my plate?" attitude. His response solved the problem and I went home the next day. It was Thanksgiving Day and I was able to be with my family.

Bill Brimmer

This hospital is well-run and efficient. There is a commitment to patient care.

Kay Ashley

Hands down WORST E.R. in history. Do not come here if you have ANY serious problems. You will likely be ignored and sent home. I have multiple illnesses and arrived tonight with chest pain and a heart rate of 120, and insanely high blood pressure. On top of that I had brutal joint pain and an agonizing migraine. I was sent home after an hour of a bag of IV fluids and a TECH DECIDED MY CARE, not even a doctor!! I asked to be admitted for the night for observation at the very least (then maybe I could have seen a doctor) but was told there was nothing wrong with me medically that was needed to keep me here. Are you kidding me?! JOKE of a hospital all around. I swear to god I will never come here again and neither should anyone else, not even if your dying. You'll be ignored. They don't care about their patients.

I visited the emergency room I was there for about 1 hour, no surgery no injury I was lucky. Till I received my bill, $4,900.00. Lets say that again $4,900.00 can you imagine? Thankfully paying our bills on time but Danbury Hospital accounting department keeps adding to our bill not subtracting 4-1=3.. Terry 4-1=3...7 months later I actually owe according to a statement that I "had to" request 5900.00 LOL...Horrible Horrible..When you call to discuss this you get rude and horrible people. This is exactly what is wrong with healthcare today. Oh and they have no online payment system LOL, and they do not send out monthly statements it is just weird. This hospital literally services 10,000's thousands of people has 24,000 employees how on earth do they not have a proper website how is that even possible ????

Howard Danoff

John Bento

The worst service ever. My son broke his wrist and waited for 40 mins when I asked what order do they take patients into ER I was told depends how bad the injury. People went in and left without help and my som suffered with pain for no reason.

Excellent Hospital

Was just a visitor for my spouse . Overall not very hospitality. At one point prior to discharge my husband needed to get dress and I pulled the curtain and the discharge nurse just came in without knocking as he was just closing his pants . The doctor I assume because he didn’t identify hisself nor ask of it was ok to speak in front of me since I came hours later. The wait was extended to what seemingly appeared to be a not so full night. The only friendly person was a patient intake representative who pointed me to the coffee pot. My husband was ok so I wasn’t vocal about the wait time. Night time visit after 11pm

John B

Had hip surgery st this facility. This hospital gave me cellulitis. Not a good gift and don’t wish this on anyone!!! Did Kramer drop that junior mint in me?

I have been to many hospital ERs all over the country throughout the years with myself, children and grandchildren. I have had two occasions in the past month or so to visit Danbury, once for myself and once with my granddaughter. I drive 23 miles to get there and it is well worth the trip. They have an unbelievably kind and empathetic staff at all levels. These negative responses shock me. Clearly these people haven't been to Emergency rooms in many other cities.

Madian Yahya

Excellent care and service.

Kimberly S

ER Nurse incredibly rude. Doctor as well stating he would not utilize his staff to "deal" with a patient. They should review those phone calls.

anthony anthony

i would give this hospital 5 stars for there care but you have to review the whole experience. if you have no insurance they charge double possibly tripple you cannot do anything about it you argue the bill they simply send it to collection agencys and destroy your credit . i dislocated my shoulder so i went to danbury hospital i went in to the emergency room and was there for 45 minutes. most of that time was spent filling out forms for information on billing. the doctor spent about 5 seconds to pop it back in .no medication no nothing 1 xray and 5 seconds of a doctors time got me two bills one for radiology and one for the hospital $5900 yes thats right $5900 for a guy to push my arm for 5 seconds. i will drive an extra 10 minutes to a different hospital on deaths door or not i will never go there again. one big rip off

Jon Jon

they don't listen! is their real problem , always thinking the worst of people, this is because the majority of people here were raised in a sheltered society, they should have training classes called "real life" that should bring them back down to reality.

Corey D. Ruddy

Clean, modern, great doctors and nurses.

Orangypie

This is a decent hospital. I broke my collarbone awhile back and I had to go to the ER. They did put me on a hospital bed and told me to wait for a doctor. This part is why I only rated 4 stars. WAIT TIMES. I understand that an 8 year old with a broken collarbone isn’t as important as an unconscious person bleeding from they’re head everywhere. But still. I waited an hour to get an x-ray. Then they took another hour until they told me I had broken my collarbone. And then 4 HOURS. 4 DAMN HOURS. Until I got a sling. All in all though. Nice staff and my doctor was no nonsense. Good place if you aren’t in a hurry.

Sue Staltare

Beautiful hospital. Excellent patient care.

Joanne Williams

Don’t get hospitalized on Saturday.

i once had a friend. the hospital's complacency and maladroit doctors killed him. I would suggest not going here. Want good doctors? Seek help elsewhere. If it were possible Id give 0/5 stars

I’ve always had my issues solved and them finding out that I had a low IGM PROTEIN DEFICIENCY which was causing me to be hospitalized every two months. Dr Fort is a awesome Doctor. I wish to find another primary doctor like him now that he’s in a different position at Danbury Hospital

Lucky if you get a Good nurse who takes Job serious , you'll be here ALL day & nothing is done in order to make you feel comfortable

The doctors were attentive, nurses were very nice. Social worker was absolutely horrible. Misinformation for word go. I recommend not taking a lot of what they say at face value and talking to doctors or nurses instead. Danbury hospital saved my grandmothers life. I cannot thank them enough.

I refuse to attend this hospital for any of my future child births as long as Dr Goldstein and Dr May are in the maternity ward. I will now drive to another Hospital for my next childbirth as they have stolen the magic out of my child birth experience and turned it into a night mare. The community needs to be made aware Danbury Hospital supports rude, careless and judgmental doctors. I will make sure no other woman will have the same experience as I had. No woman should ever have to miss out on the bonding of their new born child due to a doctor violating their patients rights.

My only complaint Is the restricted menu and their lack of urgency when I felt it was time for me to leave.

Hit or miss with doctors and nurses. I've had more good visits than bad ones, however the bad were AWFUL. Night staff are the worse. Rude, inconsiderate, apathetic and unorganized. Sometimes they forget you. I spent 4 hrs in a scale of 9 pain... when my screaming alerted the doctor he seemed irritated with me. He treated me so bad, I signed a form, and left the ER. Second time I went in they put me in a room around 2am. I didn't get actual treatment until the morning staff came in. I had to tell them, a whole new set of people, why I was there again. Morning staff did treat me fast and great though. Like I said, it's a hit or miss.

Had my 2nd baby here after New Milford Hospital closed. NEVER AGAIN. You’re nothing but a patient number and dollar signs. First, it was a revolving door of unannounced visitors (students) in the delivery room even after my birthing plan stated I didn’t want that. Then the revolving door continued as nurses and other staff came in to check you and take the baby. Family who was visiting was interrupted several times by people wanting to take the baby. So Annoying. I wish they could do everything while in the room like New Milford hospital had done. New Milford nurses also came in, in the morning, and let us know what to expect to for day (this way it didn’t seem like a revolving door of unannounced ‘guests’) I guess New Milford set the bar pretty high for me, especially when it came to the meals. Where NM offered generous portions, Danbury’s were more like toddler size portions-no exaggeration. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and get home to destress. We checked out early.

I had a wonderful experience here. Caring and very professional staff, and open to alternative methods of patient care. Kudos to the tireless staff! Everyone from nurses aides to financial office. Had an amazing and very caring surgeon in Dr. Ganal.

I had never been to Danbury hospital so I cant speak to the upgrades to the building but it was impressive. I went in to the ED and from the moment I arrived, the caring man at the door who helped me into a wheelchair and recognized immediately that not only was I in pain, I was also having an anxiety attack to which he offered caring words and reassurance, helping me focus on providing accurate information on my symptoms and medical history. My wait time was minimal and every person I interacted with was friendly and caring. My doctor, Melissa Said, was amazing. I was made comfortable quickly and my anxiety calmed. The facility was impressive and completely updated. I was not admitted so I don't know about the patient rooms but the overall decor of the building seemed very nice that I don't think the rooms would be a disappointment. I have made may family aware that this is the only hospital I want to go to in the future.

Christopher Cruz

Everyone that works here has superb bedside manor. Throughout my multiple times here, I would highly recomend this hospital!

Christian Corpuz

If there is a way for me to leave a ZERO STAR I will do it. I had a terrible experience dealing with this facility. Rudeness and incompetence are beyond measure. I will not recommend this facility to my friends and family.

Tracianna Williams

Absolutely terrible!! Went to the ER for lightheadness and heart issues. I was admitted a couple hours later, placed on a heart monitor and kept overnight. Did not see and actual doctor from cardiology till the next day mid afternoon. Monitor showed runs of A-flutter and multiple extra beats. Cardiologist who clearly got into the business for money walks in and says without asking more then a question or two “it’s been hot the last couple days drink lots of water and maybe take a walk.”Well I’m no doctor but shouldn’t fluid correct that and I’m still lightheaded got no answers but glad I will get a astronomic bill for NOTHING. Take the time and make the extra trip to YALE or Hartford. So disappointed!

Clarence Fernandes

My daughter was born here. Great staff. Oddly the food was really really good

I was recently treated in the ER and it was pleasant from start to finish. Dr Smith was excellent: straight-forward, attentive and knowledgeable. My nurse, Mercedes was great. The staff in radiology and other attendants were all friendly. It’s clean, beautiful facility with valet parking.

I had an emergency with my little girl and this Hospital was amazing at everything. I was in and out before I knew it. I am thankful beyond words for all the staff members that work the night shift at Danbury Hospital Emergency Room. I mean the triage was quick, everyone from the receptionist and the guy in triage was really great and helpful. Dr. Jennifer Dugan was amazing and the medical technician Cheryl I believe was her name, was awesome. I had an overall great experience with the Hospital Godbless everyone, Best wishes.

The very best! They care about their patients and encourage them. They have a great sense of humor and well educated. I had a very severe operation that required 10 hours and 2 surgeons. They removed one rod that I had since I was 16 years old. Then in my 50's pain started became so intense. That the answer was surgery. Best decision ever. 4 rods later, pain lessen .I feel great! The staff is second to none. I then went to Grimm's, insurance purposes. But if theirs a choice, Grimes!!!!!!!!! You won't regret it.

Horrible wait time in the E.R at about 10PM 7/8/19. My 10 and 3 year old sons had a fever 101 degrees and swollen tonsils. We waited until 11:30pm just to be registered. We had about 8 patients ahead of us, no urgency or attendance of staff. Ended up leaving and will head to urgent care in the morning.

Horrible my 13 year old son had to have his appendix out the er was quick about finding the problem and getting him into surgery however after was a nightmare. My son was never listed so they never told me when he was in recovery he stated alone for 4hours with a stranger scared. When I finally asked what was going on and where my son was they had to track him down. His nurse was less then friendly and just wanted him out the door she took the iv out way to early. He had a supposed reaction to the pain meds a rash that lasted 5mins so the on call doctor not the one who did the surgery that doctor was great the on call doctor said he was to be sent home that day with nothing but Motrin. I tried in vain to plead with them to give my son something else didn't need to be a narcotic she not only refused but talked to me like I was below her and didnt know how to parent. I might add I have a 23yr old who had the same surgery when she was younger this was not my first time dealing with this. That doctor was rude had no manners and was way out of line. She just didn't care. Her attitude not her kid and once gone not her problem. Worse experience ever!!!

Fritz The-Jovial

Nice people, somewhat decent care, but unbelievable billing errors. I am fully insured for ER visits. After a quick ER visit for my knee. Started receiving bills. I called and told the nice billing staff to bill insurance. I didn't understand why they didn't in the first place. Since then, I have been told on three separate occasions that the bills being sent to me are erroneous and I should ignore them they will fix it for me. I'm reluctant because, forgive me but I don't trust them, and I don't want this to escalate. I have been pushed to my wits end and this has been going on for more than a year with no change in the issue. This is either gross negligence or bordering on fraudulent billing practices. Again I don't want to escalate this issue but I don't see much other option. No one should have to go through this. If you are injured go somewhere else. If the injury doesn't kill you, their billing dept might...

Kathy J

Worst hospital like hell!! Doctors don't know what they doing. I spend 4 days in hospital. Every times I see a new doctor and he asked me questions like he don't know anything about my illness. I believe they don't quardinate each other. Every doctor tell me a new story and he disappeared. Nurses are good. I will suggest you if you live around Fairfield county go to yale it's far but worth. God bless all of you.

Never had to be on bedrest but everyone here has made this the best possible experience for me while I️ am away from my family. Hats off to the Danbury Hospital Labor and Delivery Staff!!

I had a good experience at WCHN last year and they saved my life. Now I'm concerned about the Main St. Gym that doesn't have enough help to help maintain what they did for me, You need more trainers and physiologists to maintain the place to continue supporting the good care you gave me, there are a lot of people who are desperate for help at that gym, Come on support it for everyone's good health!

I would not even give this hospital any stars! My husband had a hernia surgery in March. But, in January, he was in extreme pain so we had to go to Danbury Hospital at 11:00 pm at night for an emergency. They did a CAT Scan, Urine test, and Blood Test, which took less than an hour. We were in the hospital for 1 1/2 hours. I already paid them $675 dollars in the first bill. Then, they send me a second one with a bill of over $8,000! And this does not even include the other $8,000 I have pay for the surgery. And what did they do...nothing! They are asking $8,000 just for 3 tests! My husband makes less than $45,000 a year and I am not a millionaire. When we pleaded them for financial aid, they were merciless and refused to give us any type of discount! In my life, I have written only two other reviews for products which I have bought, but this experience was so angering that it forced me to come to the computer to write this.

Charlotte J Priestley

The staff there nurses are deplorable. Try learning ENGLISH! They left my mother without her ativan because they don't want to do the paper work she is 70 plus years old had a concussion and was agitated when they Told her she needed to go to a home! She is still in there so to speak and was restless due to losing her home of 40 years! THE LACK OF COMPASSION IS ASTOUNDING ! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOSPITAL OR ITS AFFILIATES GOO TO NEW YORK INSTEAD OR ELSEWHERE IN CT!

My sister was in and out of that hospital following a small surgery that she had. She died 2 weeks after Christmas, at 30 years old, due to the Dr's and ER mistakes. She was 30! She never once thought she was going to die, yet she died alone at home from unknown complications after leaving that hell hole. 4 Days after she died the Dr's office called to confirm her next appointment. Are you kidding me?! They killed my sister and call my house asking to see her? They shouldn't have let her go at all from that hospital if they had diagnosed her properly. Terrible place.

I was there for a week in the psychiatric unit and it honestly saved my life. Amazing staff who were welcoming and had my best interest at heart and kindhearted patients that understood what I was going through. They made sure upon my departure that I would be in good hands in an outpatient therapy group and let me tell you, those therapy sessions helped me immensely. I was also in the hospital because of a seizure and they were nothing but kind and accommodating. The staff made my stays comfortable and if I ever need to go to the hospital again, I will not hesitate to return to danbury hospital. I cannot thank danbury hospital enough for the great care they provided me.

for eoe awareness testing for those with mental disabilities, and ability to change and adapt in danbury to differnt cultures, remembering the complaints of the disabed, that we are always secure in ourselves, and fine under limited supervision, unless proven to be violent. in which case dignity and sober coaches need be. Danbury Hospitals U.S. news key would display factual taxation representation of this due to distribution of funding by the US news key. now this is important because i do see a large amount of corruption at Danbury Polce concering unawareness, ignorance, axis, and disabilities. They are very big on distributing immunity carelessly. As a town of Hatters, i can not take this test monitored without sight, and given permission by cpc associates in a compromise before we have A REALLY BIG AUDIT okay. im not kidding lol. im sure itll be fine but just a heads up, be prepared for national impact and awareness v. factual data representation of lack of impact in unawareness, a balance is good, but its coaxiling and there's gonna be a lot of alarms and people without a need to know that are just subject to whipping boy treatment from Beauracries to Danbury Police and most likely disabled people, who are the most adaptative to themselves in articles of clothing. I also want to look with Bethel Health Care in kind of a give and take with Danbury Hospital at the potential for a Distribution of Town of Newtown v. Danbury Superior, inability to represent factual data and then distribution to the elderly in nursing homes prolly more at Danbury Health Care, becuase everybody loves to pick on "the brother with a car" now i see a correlation in a 4 part enabler system with cancer, kidney stones, heart failure, colon cancer, when there is a dominant female and a submissive to mother but dominant male son relationship that exposes mitosis in receptor cell bacteria surrounding virii. This four part enabler system, such as a mother smoking in teenage years, through pregnancy in the 70;s (happened all the time) and a say 40 some odd male who has a good standing daily relationship with the mother and a larger scale role in the community and smokes in teenage years into adulthood and just doesnt care. I see an indirectly proportional relationship to hightened supervision from type a fathers who do not smoke, drink alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee (and now monster, which i love it but you really dont know long run) and a quicker kind of rip off the band aid rapid mitosis surrounding receptor cell inception. A study, i wouldn't have a need to know on, but for the purposes to learn and apply for the greater danbury in kind of a give and take with Bethel Health Care, a more affluent nursing home, and Danbury Health Care a more historical preservation of diversity and the mad hatter due to the fleeing of diversity, the economic segregation and the impact on the economy slaves had since reconstruction. This would require group therapy between the two nursing homes and raised awareness between the two cultures now in a probelmatic situation nationally, a battle between full of vitality gen yers xers and zers that are gearing up with the new election to really overthrow Trump who i say 2024 for a little time. This would be a good correlational study to have a record for in case of emergency auditing and factual data to represent the City of Danburys impact nationally v. just locally which can be an issue. I see this happening a lot. Nobody really understands how uncontrollable case law and taxation without representation can be. It would be important to report the findings to the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Danbury. Just a warning shot. The hospital looks great, but the city, is really skimming a lot of budgets and quite franky doesnt even know what its doing. The study would as well be useful in your tipping point role with new construction to support the increase in the bulding process and development, which hey, thats where it started, with the Hatters, so be prepared for a big audit in the city

Spent the past few days here with my wife for the delivery of our newborn. The staff have been great, they make every effort to keep you comfortable.

Depends on which doctor you get ! I got an awful woman who told me to go home and exercise even though I thought I broke my hip . Ended up getting surgery elsewhere

I’ve managed emergency departments for over 10 years. ER is so beautiful but lacking in wait times...waited 2 hours to see a doc because the initial nurse that triaged us thought my husband’s complaint was bogus. Wow was she surprised when we were admitted (should listen better!) ER doc Dr. Weiner was amazing- didn’t judge, was open and approachable. Mike from the ED that transported us- wonderful! But where is housekeeping?! Blood on the floor in the ED, now garbage all over the hallways as I sit on the 9th floor tower...not used to the lack of cleanliness. People just walk by and don’t pick anything up! Hospitalist team led by Dr. Miller- thorough and compassionate. Maria from Case Management was lovely. Nursing team is kind but overwhelmed. When we arrived to the floor at 1am, I listened to a tech say “I’m getting another patient? That’s not fair.” Really?! Lot’s of work needed here to compete with Yale. Not letting a spouse stay overnight with a scared loved one who has never been sick or hospitalized? Not Magnet. And certainly not patient-centered.

Cli Bat

Had a back surgery here with a 1 night stay. They told me to be at the surgical center at 1:30. At 6:00 I was finally entering the OR after sitting in various different areas for 4 1/2 hours. The nurses for the overnight were terrible. Every time a nurse entered my room their phone immediately went off because someone hit the call button. They would walk in, phone would beep, and they would say "I'll be right there". One nurse came in the room and asked me what time my surgery going to be. She had no idea that i had already had surgery. Then they started talking about checking me out to go home. 4 hours later i told them to check me out or I'll just walk out. That was the only time the entire stay i saw a nurse for more than a minute. When i finally was able to get up i took a look at the paper that was hanging from the door that i couldnt read from the bed. It was an hourly check in sheet and every single hour was checked. They must have just filled it in all at once because there is no way a nurse stopped by once an hour.

I and a very sick family member have been to Danbury Hospital ER many times. Also been to their Medical Arts building for outpatient testing and their affiliated Western Connecticut Imaging for x-ray and CT scan. The ER staff try their best, but if your condition is complicated these people might be in over their heads. The outpatient testing and Imaging are awful. Two of three CT scans they did had to be repeated at another facility because the quality was so poor. Their radiologist couldn't tell a cyst from a tumor on a CT scan, which my GP could tell from a 3-second look at the CT. The medical arts outpatient testing facility is like a ghost town. Despite no other patients being there before, during, or after me, they still couldn't get an EKG read and sent to my doc who asked to have it the same day. Overall, I would say if you have an emergency and it's the closest hospital, there's a pretty good chance you will get the attention you need. If you need any kind of diagnostic testing that is not an emergency, go somewhere else. If you have any type of complicated illness and have a choice, better to go somewhere else. NYC is just a little more than a 1 hr drive from Danbury. Go to NY Presbyterian, Mt. Sinai, NYU Langone, NY Hospital-Cornell.

care might be good but the prices are highly inflated and can blow you away with their bills .

The emergency room, is one of the seven circles of hell, if you survive it..the Hospital itself is great,... The emergency room should be completely restructured the entire staff should be relieved of their duties, I'm sure there are probably a good one or two in there, but the only way to get that place back on track is to get rid of everyone ...maybe they've forgotten what aa hospital E R is supposed to be .. for actual emergencies, there is absolutely no triage, or prioritization by severity of injury, . you'll rarely find Danbury emergency room full of emergencies ..but flu shots and school shots and the surprising number of people who walked into doors if you know what I'm saying.... Social Services gets a workout, as does financial aid, something that shouldn't even be in the same Department.... If you are suffering in pain and really injured,,.. hang on to your hat cuz you'll suffer when you get there... * three times I went there with my left arm numb and was sent away ..the last time with some bald-headed idiot doctor screaming in my face.. WHY ARE YOU HERE. !!!! .. After menacing & threatening me they did absolutely nothing to treat me and security escorted me out... it turned out that I had had a massive heart attack and .. thank God Kathleen D'orso..APRN.. Western Connecticut Medical Group Mount Pleasant.. in Newtown, had the good sense to give me an EKG to find a branch bundle block.. I had two blocked arteries and ventricular fibrillation, and I am lucky I survived the emergency room,.. the only time I will ever go to that place again is unconscious horizontal.. and hopefully they won't lose my body, that place is a death trap... Steer clear of the ER at all cost ..go directly to the satellite offices . where they'll refer you to the correct specialist, Danbury Hospital has great specialist, the Duracell Center is fantastic the cardiac department is fantastic gastroenterology department is fantastic... The ER is a death trap. heed my warning stay away from that place you risk your life.. .. abandon all hope, ye who enter here

Sucks, big time. Good luck getting through by phone, and when you eventually do, a specialist appointment is only 90 days away. I wouldn’t send my dog there!

Drove 12 hours to see my brother’s baby after he was born. After waiting 3 hours in the waiting room, the hateful lady working the desk on the maternity floor yelled at my three young children and told us to go home that we couldn’t see the baby. The ones visiting the hospital, that are getting kicked out, aren’t strangers, this is the baby’s grandma, two aunts, and two uncles.

Super great places

This place sucks. No one wants to help you during the day. Only when the night shift comes on after 5 pm do you get any help. If I could give this Hospital a negative 10, I would.

M Coates

Their ER unit is a joke. Unclean rooms and 5 hours wait time to see a DR for ten minutes.

Gillian Beswick

Wait in the Er is ridiculous- no one checked on my 7 year old for 2 hours at 2am in the morning. And this is the 2nd time this has happened. Last time we were there for 4 hours before the PA came in to say the 105.5 fever was fine and just to rest. 4 hours?????

The worst hospital ever.

My Father was admitted to the emergency room on June 7th and ended up having to have a procedure done which was a high risk for him in his condition, he had a complication after the surgury and ended up in the ICU. The caring, compassion, attentiveness shown to my father and us as a family was amazing, we had one particular nurse for three consecutive days and she was tireless and on point and showed amazing compassion I would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses from the 7th floor ICU for the care they gave my father Robert White Sr. during his stay there

The new wings, especially the ER and lobby are incredible. Rooms are bigger with more space and seating for guests, lounges on each floor are available for family meetings with doctors and the new bistro is great although understaffed at busy mealtime hours (cafeteria closes at 3pm so only one place for dinner/ late night food). Teaching hospital with friendly atmosphere thanks to the staff and students. ER and oncology programs may be growing soon too which is great for the community at large because less having to travel to bigger hospitals in New Haven/ NYC.

The most pathetic and rude nurses I had ever seen in labor department. Please do not take your wife or GF to danbury hospital for birth child. My advise to Danbury hospital Management is to educate their nurses how to deal with a labor patient. I hope Danbury hospital Managment will contact me and I will provide them complete information. Thanks

Worst Hospital Ever My uncle is being treated here and for more than five days he’s here waiting for his gold bladder surgery to be done. All they been doing is giving him pain medication to keep his pain under control and every two to three hours different doctor comes in and tells us an excuse and keeps dealing us tell four more hours, we have been on this case for five days now and his pain is getting worse and there are not doing anything about it please guys don’t do the mistake that we did and come to this hospital we got tricked and thought that just because it’s a near by hospital it’s a good hospital but sadly it’s not it looks good from the outside but severely bad from inside from doctors treatment to the nurses.

This hospital has the most backwards stance on birthing. There "Birthing center" after combining with New Milford has the worst policy I have ever seen. It is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT THEY TRY TO PROMOTE A FAMILY BONDING DURING THE PROCESS WHEN THEY FORCE YOU TO SHARE A ROOM WITH SOMEONE THEN FORCE THE HUSBANDS TO LEAVE AT 8PM WHEN THEY ARE IN A SHARED ROOM. I can understand the reason to have shared rooms as a last resort. I can ever understand new time frames for visitors but how can you promote family bonding when the husband can not even be there to help the wife in her time of need. Now the nurses are the nicests in the world but you kick out a husband that has helped his wife in her hardest hour because you are too full and have to put them in a joint room but your nurses are so understaffed that they cant even perform simple tasks for the wife while the husband isn't there. WHAT THIS HOSPITAL DOES TO NEW FAMILIES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL AND IN MOST FIRST WORLD COUNTIES WOULD NEVER BE TOLERATED. HOW IS THIS ALLOWED IN THE US, THESE KIND OF SCENARIOS THAT HAPPEN TO COUNTLESS OTHER FAMILIES AT HOSPITALS SHOULD NO LONGER BE TOLERATED. WE NEED TO ACT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!!

So let's get one thing straight. You go to a hospital when you're sick, right? Or you go there when your loved one is sick, right? Right. You're not there for an amusement ride or a picnic. You're there in a depressed mood, hoping that the person you're visiting becomes all right. You're still working full time, hoping that you can pay the bills for this person you care about. So. Why is there need for a bad attitude by some people in the front desk? Today, at the Praxair Cancer Center at 7:10pm, this woman blond, white woman with a blue shirt would not let someone go visit a patient. She also refused my mom from seeing my sister when my sister's nurse clearly said that she could. When the nurse called that annoying woman at the desk, that woman seemed surprised. Yeah, you thought we were lying? Why didn't you call the nurse up yourself? I totally understand the need for confidentially and rules. I am willing to abide by them. Just don't treat me like an illiterate person when I ask to see the written rules. Who's paying the bills for this institution? Yeah, me. So why are you giving me attitude when my life is already going down the drain? So yeah, all of Danbury Hospital is fine, except for her. She's the only reason that I give this place a one star. I won't change my rating until she is fired, since today was the 3rd day that she gave my family and I a hard time.

Ximena Sixbey

They do have very poor service!!! no in off people (nurses, nurses aide, etc) Is just about $$$$$

Daniel Sorrentino

Avoid! They do not treat patients well and their billing is unreasonable. I'd rather die than be a patient of Danbury Hospital ever again.

Ronaldo Fiorentino

The bills are ridiculously high and the staff is rude and doesn't seem to care about their patients at all. Absolutely dissatisfied.

Thomas Perone

I got my records from this place after my visit. They completely lied to myself while I was there and I have proof.

Mary Guimaraes

Very well attended by all, of attendant, nurses and doctors. Congratulations on making us believe that our health is in good hands! (Translated by Google)

I am extremely happy with the service that the ER doctor and nurses gave to my mother at the emergency room at Danbury Hospital. They were ALL courteous, patient and explained the medical procedures that would be done. I also was very appreciative that the ER doctor took the time out to show and explain my mother’s blood test results to me. They did a VERY thorough job. Thank you to the ER staff at Danbury Hospital on early Thursday morning, November 1, 2018!!!!!!
