The positive was that a majority of people were friendly. I went in on a Friday afternoon after the Wellness Center on my school’s campus referred me there. I did not have to wait long at all after I checked in. At that point, I was experiencing PCS for 8 months. The Wellness Center referred me to get imaging because my symptoms got worse. A lot of people asked what I needed, and I explained it to them. They didn’t tell me that “We can’t do that.” After I got my vitals, the main doctor told me that she would refuse to do the imaging. I understand her reasoning, however, she ended up being really dismissive when I said I did a lot better, but then had stronger symptoms over the past month. When I went to check out, the printer was down, which made billing difficult because they needed me to sign a receipt. That was not anyone’s fault. I’m glad there wasn’t a huge line behind me. The big thing I was upset about was the lack of communication. Luckily, my insurance only has a $75 detectable for ER visits. They covered the rest. I felt like my family spent $75 to have the ER worker tell me “We refuse to do that”. I hope it is not too unreasonable, but I would appreciate being refused during check in instead of after taking vitals. That would’ve saved $75.

They put my daughter and I through absolute hell for no reason. I took my 5 week old daughter on 2/19/2018 because I was not sure if she had a temperature or not due to a new thermometer the wasn’t working correctly. As a new mother, I just wanted reassurance it wasn’t high. I took her in and she had a temperature of 98.9. The young female resident doctor, Alyssa Heaton, insisted on doing all these tests including a lumbar puncture which I told her no, but she insisted on. She made me feel like I was a terrible mom if I did not get the test done( which she wasn’t able to get spinal fluid because she was not experienced enough.) It was completely traumatizing as a new mother to see your kid screaming and to put them through that much pain for absolutely nothing. She then said that either way my daughter would have to be admitted to Memorial Central is into pediatrics. I asked her why can’t the tests be performed at memorial central since they specialize in baby’s that small. She said we have to do all these test immediately. She then diagnosed my daughter with pneumonia off just 1 crappy chest X-ray saying the picture looked hazy. When my daughter didn’t have any other symptoms. Her oxygen levels were in the 90’s, no temperature, no cough, no congestion, her behavior and her appetite was the same. Once we were transferred to memorial central, I demanded for another chest x-ray and it came back normal. We were discharged immediately and Heaton said my daughter was perfectly healthy. Doctor Heaton performed those tests for absolutely no reason and used my daughter as a science experiment. Her and the nurses kept saying “Oh, we’ve never worked on a baby this small before.” Which half the tests they preformed on her they weren’t able to complete because they were not experienced for a baby that small and we should have been transferred to Memorial Central from the beginning. Do not take your kids there especially your infants. I simply wanted to see if my daughter had a temperature or not.

First I want to say the staff very friendly and had a good bedside manner. However if you have any medical history I suggest you go to one of the established hospitals in the Springs. Set me up with an IV with fluids and put something in my IV for pain. I still felt awful they said it was a virus so I went with it and went home. However about an hour later my upper GI tract started hurting really bad. I looked up the medicine that they had given me and it is recommended that people with stomach ulcers should not be given that. So on top of all my aches I already had I was up all night with pain in my upper GI tract. I don't think I would go back like I said everybody was nice enough but they should have not given me that medicine with my medical history.

WORST facility in the city. In the future, will refuse to come here for anything

Kara Walton

I got there and they refused to tell me if they take Medicaid till after being seen and treated. I was very hesitant to go back because they couldn’t tell me if I would be stuck with a bill for thousands if I did. When I did go back (didn’t take long cause no one else was there) I had to give a urine sample which the doctor then decided he didn’t want to test because he had no intent to treat me “on the tax payers dime” as he put it. I don’t know what else he had going on with an empty emergency room, but he wanted me out of there. It’s fine to remind me the costs between emergency room and family practitioner testing, but don’t insult a patient for being forced to be on Medicaid even while working full time. I was reminded as I left that it can take a really long time to get accepted at a doctors office these days so come back if my gallbladder actually bursts before I get in.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Do not go to any freestanding UCHealth ER. They are considered out of network for all major insurances and have outrageous prices for the simplest of tests and meds/ivs, not to mention the "facility fee" you get slapped with just for being seen. By all means, if you are sure you're dying and have $10,000 (after insurance) burning a hole in your pocket, then go. Shame on them for teaming up with Adeptus. Shame on this government for allowing crooks into our healthcare industry.

Staff was so friendly and doctors were wonderful. Had a torn ACL a new one was grafted from my hamstring and they made sure I was taken care of any any pain was felt with immediately....clean and awesome place!

Victoria Lindgren

Took great care of my husband but a bit more communication would have elevated this to 5 stars.

Dawn Anon

Since they are relatively new not many people know about this location. I can only comment on the ER but there was practically no wait time. The lobby and ER was very clean. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. All around a good experience as hospitals go.

Anonymous

Went into the E.R. Got treated immediately. The staff was very nice, and seemed very caring. Dr Conrad is a excellent, understanding doctor. They really helped me as much as they could when I was in a very bad state. I would recommend this Hospital.

Clifford Banks

I don't know why they open this facility. I really don't know why, the services is unprofessional....

Donna Whelan

Without a doubt the best ER experience I've ever had. Made to feel comfortable and in good, friendly hands. If you have to go to ER and hate the terrible wait, this is the best choice in the Springs. Just 1 suggestion..in the bag you give on discharge, maybe change out the suckers for kids with stickers?

Chris Young

I took my wife here for an injured knee and hip pain.. they couldn't be bothered with her knee saw the the swelling she was talking about went down and didn't even check it.. we were there a total of 20 minutes.. i dont recomend taking your loved one there unless your dying.. then maybe they will help you.

When and if you have a choice for an ER or inpatient hospital care, even if others are closer, move Grandview to #1 on your list of first-class medical care you can trust. We've been treated in 3 hospitals in the Springs, all were good, but Grandview gets the gold medal, hands down, for doctor expertise, nurses and techs going-the-extra-mile skill & compassion, and courtesy/respect for the family. My wife came thru the ER and then spent 4 days admitted to Grandview due to this horrible flu. Our son from Los Angeles visiting Mom at Grandview said, "Wow! This place is beautiful...like a hospital in Beverly Hills that treats celebs, but with compassion and class." He's absolutely right. Even the food is amazing! Needing an ER or inpatient care is no fun, so do yourself a favor — go to Grandview, the newest hospital in the Springs... you deserve the BEST, don't settle for less. Thank God now we have a choice for medical care like this. And here's to your good health!

Daniel DiCenso

First of all the staff were awesome! The food was good. The treatment was great and they got me out quickly. The bad stuff was the bed was horrendous and it killed my back. It was so bad I ended up trying to sleep on the couch which wasn't much better. The room was miserably hot and no one could get it cooled down during the time I was there. Luckily I got discharged after only one night or I was going to demand they transfer me to another hospital because of the bed and the heat. Upon being discharged, the prescriptions had no phone numbers on them which I verified and this lead to myself calling the pharmacy and the hospital about 10-15 times over 6 hours trying to get it resolved because the pharmacy didn't know who to call with questions. There was no phone number to call on my discharge paperwork as well which could be troublesome for less resourceful patients as myself. I didn't like the policy of the hospital not wanting me to use my own daily medication and trying to get me to use the hospital's medication. This seemed like another money grab to me as they eventually gave in and let me take my own medication. Again the staff was awesome but the rest of this stuff needs work.

Great experience. Thank You to all the staff.

Unexpectedly had to bring my dad here on our 4 hour way home from his most recent hospital stay in Denver. We drove up to the Emergency and was quickly greeted with staff to take my dad from my car into the facility. They were very efficient and lovely. They also gave my mom some wipes and gloves to clean up the car. My dad, who is a very hard poke for IV with all the swelling was quickly inserted with not only one but 2 IVs quicker than any hospital (3) we have been to in the last month. Less than half an hour and we already have a game plan of what is going to happen from here. Thank you to everyone who assisted!

Stacy Lambert

We were from out of town and my husband got sick so we went here because it was the closest. He was the ONLY patient there at the time so they took him straight back. We were there about an hour and they had no answers for us so sent us on our way to follow up with a doctor here at home. Then we got the bill..so unless you are dying do not I repeat DO NOT go here. The bill was over $11k and $5600 was for nothing other than walking in! We are middle class so we have been screwed over by Obama and we make to much money for financial assistance...so needless to say we don't have insurance. We pay out of pocket for any medical issues and until we got this outrageous bill that has not been a problem! We had to go to the emergency room here at home when we got back and the same "level 5 emergency exam" they charged 5600 for there only cost 1900 here! This hospital will way overcharge for their services and don't seem to care at all! We even disputed the bill and they still don't care. This hospital needs to be investigated for fraud!

Blessed to have doctors, nurses, and a warm welcome from the young woman at check-in window, and a security guard standing by. Had a broken toe and they were very caring and professional and friendly. Took their time to do things right helped relieve what might have been a stressful night. Plus I did not have to drive across town, UCHealth Grandview Hospital was surprisingly close. Thanks to God for all of you.

Dude Man

Excelent patient care, friendly attentive staff, made my stay as pleasnt as possible. These people are amazing!

Let start off that the night shift was grate but when it changed over to day shift that’s when he’ll started had horrible nurse that would come in the room to give me meds only when I called which was well past the time window for pain meds and antibodies because they diagnosed me with skin cellulitis which is not something I would wish on anyone. The pain meds were not working and they told me the amount they were giving me was there max which is BS! I weight 290lb and I should at least get double of someone that weighs 150lb. Then they proceed to tell me that they are short staff at the end of there shift. They also told that I would have security called on me if I were to go outside and get cigarette to calm down which is not the best thing to have when your sick but that’s my stress relief. Then to top it all off the iv they were using in my arm was pulled from vain and never redone so I have antibiotics and pain meds I the tissue of my arm which made a huge swollen part of my arm that burns profusely I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. And another thing is they were more worried about getting paid! I will be expecting someone to contact me about this because I will have my attorney involved do to the wrong treatment I had here.

Joel Loomis

Nice doctors and nurses. This place is typically pretty quiet and fairly empty so never much of a wait to go to the ER.

They don't even deserve 1 star but Google requires something. Wrote the same review with Yelp. UC Health emergency room is a joke! Completely incompetent and arrogant staffing. I was the ONLY one in there and they spent hours bumbling around. I will NEVER visit this horrible facility again! AND gave me the wrong antibiotic. When I called a few days later to have it corrected, they refused. I spent more money seeing my primary care doc to get the right prescription. This facility should be shut down or at least inspected. What a bunch of idiots! Then, as Anne W. mentions in Yelp, the billing nightmare. I did not receive a bill and called to asked about it, I had already received my EOB from my insurance company. I was told ,it's on it's way'. 2 months later, I do get the bill and they have the audacity to claim they sent 2 bills before and now this is my 3rd notice. I never got 'notice' 1 and 2. There are plenty of choices in this town, DON'T choose this facility unless you want slow, incompetent service and completely screwed up billing! This company is pathetic and should be embarrassed of themselves. Same goes for their urgent care.

The care was OK. It's been 8 weeks since we visited the ER, for a very minor issue and we still have not received a bill or Explanation of Benefits from our insurance. After carefully scanning and writing down the patient insurance information and billing information, the hospital does not bother to share the information with the ER physician so he can bill insurance . We got a bill from him, and then we had to call them and give them all the information they needed to bill. Don't we have the Electronic Patient Records act where this information is shared among providers? Being proactive, I called the UC billing dept and they have no record of the bill after 8 weeks. What? The rep stated that well , yes it can take more than 8 weeks to get it out. For this reason, I would not use this hospital system again., even though the doc and staff was fine.

Went into the Emergency room for a sprained ankle and was seen as soon as I filled out the required paperwork. The staff was so courteous and sympathetic to my injury. I was in and out of this emergency room in one hour. Definitely recommend this hospital to anyone.

This place is great they always get me in and out at a good time. They are kind and honest. They also are very knowledgeable and give good information.

Wow! Nice staff but the doctor didn’t listen and called security as I complain about the VA mistreatment. Last night they did great but tonight ruined that. So much for taking care of retirees or veterans. Hire another doc who can do his job.

My wife recently had a hip replacement surgery here and spent one night. We were both incredibly impressed with the place. The admission process was swift. 100% of the staff members we met were friendly and seemed to be extremely competent (with the minor exception of one new nurse who had a hard time putting in the IV). The room was good sized and in pristine condition, and even had a view of Pulpit Rock. The food was simple but good. I can't over-emphasize how nice the staff was. Virtually every one of them took a little time to actually chat with us a bit and treat us like human beings, not just bodies to move through the system. Being in a hospital is never a fun time, but this is just about as good as it gets.

My girlfriend and I came in after being sick for two weeks and were met with a doctor who treated us poorly and judged our reasoning. If we were white and looked more "conforming" we most likely would have had a better experience. It's sad to see professionals act this disrespectfully.

Amber Hansen

My daughter was released from penrose main ER with severe abdominal pain, and knowing something was very wrong, we decided to take her to Grandview. They took her right back, and ran her labs, and it turned out her kidneys were failing. She was sent to pediatric ICU. Without Grandview, she could have sustained permanent kidney damage. They were fast, kind, and compassionate. As a person with chronic illness, this is the best ER I have been to. As for the billing issues, yeah they might be slow, but I prefer quality health care over quick billing.

If you actually care about your family members DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my mother here on a Sunday because she had been in so much pain she was actually crying when she normally has a very high pain tolerance. I will say the Dr who came in was really nice, the rest of our experience not so much. They determined it was sciatica problems, gave her a pain pill while there but then wrote a prescription for muscle relaxers, and refused to giver her pain medication. They said someone from physical therapy would call me in the morning. Well 3 days later and still no call and my mother, who is 74 years old, was still in extreme pain and the earliest her primary doctor could get her in is still a week away. I couldn’t stand to see her hurting like that any longer so finally last night (after searching online forever to find a place with good reviews) I took her to ER Specialist Urgency Center, where she was treated like an actual human and not just a number. The Dr there actually cared that my mother was in so much pain. I will never go back there, nor will anyone I know. To make a 74 year old woman feel like she’s less of a human because she was in so much pain & wanted pain relief is absolutely ridiculous. No one should have to suffer like that. Not to mention when I went there a few years ago for abdominal pain, they treated me like I was a problem & told me nothing was wrong with me. Well not even 10 hours later my doctor sent me to emergency to have my appendix removed. I should have known better than to take my mom there, but it was close. Please if you care about your family & yourself & want to be treated like an actual human, please go somewhere else, I wish I had. So many negative reviews & any of them that actually got responses just got the same generic response as everyone else. That right there should be a red flag. I hate writing reviews, especially negative ones but this time I had to.

Matthew Cline

I was seen in the ER. I need to follow up with my primary care dr. This was the best care i have ever received in an ER. They made sure I was comfortable and were nothing less than amazing.

Daniel N. Hewitt

Amazing ER group. I've unfortunately been in twice this month and both times the wait was very low and care provided was exceptional. Nurses are great and doctors are caring.

Andy Dwyer

Our daughter had a nose bleed that we couldn't get to stop. We brought her in, the doctor informed us it wasn't a big deal. They were able to stop it and the nurse gave us a clip we could use on her nose and some advice for the next time it happens. That cost $1600 + almost $300 for the physicians personal fee. One of our other kids was recovering from a concussion and we were told we should bring him in if he had certain symptoms. We did bring him by, spoke with the doctor, had him checked out. And I don't even want to say how much that cost. The only good thing I have to say about Grandview Hospital is that the nurses were friendly and helpful. We talk about medical costs being out of control, this specific location is out of control. I would not recommend going there unless you have no other choice. I contested the charges of course, but the "review board" said they were justified. I would recommend going to Memorial North or Children's hospital if you can. We've unfortunately had to go to both of those locations and had much better service and it cost us far less.

I was sent to Grandview by my physician who seen my for abdominal pain. I went into the ER and was called back immediately. My nurse, Glenn, was very kind while taking my vitals and blood. The doctor came back shortly after to let me know they would be conducting ultrasounds on me. Stephanie, the woman who did my ultrasounds was very reassuring and sweet. She made the experience much less stressful and collectively, they figured out my issue and sent me on my way. I was in and out of the ER within 2 hours. Best patient care I have received and in the quickest amount of time considering all the tests they ran. Amazing!

Michael Hampton

My daughter was rushed out the door, and collapsed when they tried to get her from the wheelchair to the car. They graciously allowed her to go back to a bed. Twenty five minutes later, when asking what to do next, her boyfriend was yelled at by the Doctor. I arrived, and was escorted to her room, where the nurse introduced herself and said "We really need to get her out of here, can you get here out of here?". I could and did. Six hours later she was still running a 100+ degree temperature. Perhaps the staff should consider that people come in to be helped, and most young people are often afraid. Professionalism would help, a lot. I will not return. Nor will my children or wife. I urge you to find a place that actually cares to do something more than move people like livestock. Why two stars? The receptionist was polite. EDIT: I called the number provided to express my concerns. I got a voicemail, and left my number. One week later no response.

Rude front desk staff

So not impressed with the care on the post-op unit. Mother out of hip surgery only 5 hours an they leave her sitting on the toilet for 20 min while alarms are going off an shes in severe pain.. she just had a hip replacement.. who does that!!!!!!! So dissatisfied. And the night staff RUDE AS F!

Bobby Rose

No complaints about the care. I arrived very late at night to get treatment for a stomach bug. I received an IV of fluids and an anti-emitic. I asked the front desk if I was in network and they said yes after looking at my insurance card. I am otherwise healthy and was in and out in about 2 hours. I received an out-of-network bill for over $6,000.00. The EOB from my insurance said it would have been a $1,200.00 bill had I been in network. I spoke with their billing dept and offered to pay $1,200.00 to settle the bill. They refused, would not negotiate at all. Still waiting to see what happens because I'm not paying $6,000.00 on a $1,200.00 bill. Be very careful that you are in network for not only the hospital but for the staff who treat you.

leandra smith

Fast, friendly, thorough, and very good equipment. I didn't come across a single employee that wasnt helpful and/or kind. Totally would recommend over any other ER in the springs.

I may be no expert but the doctors and staff seem kind of lost and do not know what to do there are staff here that know what they are doing but the docter that my mother was assigned felt like he was just there to collect a check and did not really care my mother is old and is very sick if you have patience and tolerance for bad attendance this is the place we did not have a choice because it is close to our home such a shame that our taxes are being wasted on unhelpful facilities

Shahala vigil

This was the best experience I've ever had at a hospital in Colorado Springs. I could tell the nurses as well as doctor genuinely cared about my health and symptoms. I spent more time talking to the actual doctor than I did waiting and talking to the nurses. This place is fantastic!

This place is a joke. I do not know how they are still in business!

My room had hair all on the bed the staff was rude and just didn’t care to even be sympathetic just walking around like they want to go home I’ll go to memorial instead even though this place is 3 min from my house

If the hospital was just the care providers id rate it 5 stars but my experience with the billing department has completley discredited any trust i had with this orginazation. I asked for a bill to start an insurance claim. It took me an hour on the phone i had to get a supervisor on the phone becaue the agent was rude and had no care or consern about the issue at hand. Even the supervisor was not empathic at all just told me i have to wait a week for a bill ive been waiting a month for already. I need this bill to file my insurance claim the hospital will not work with me at all. Next time i get hurt ill be goin some place else for treatment.

We went there today because my son broke his hand and it was very noticeable. He spent 10 min in the waiting room and 30 min in the room. After 40 mins and seeing 4 nurses standing around at the nurses station I asked them if they could just give him a pain pill and the nurses said they couldn't do anything and we had to wait on the doctor. Come to find out there was only one doctor and she was terrible. We decided to get up and go to St Francis's hospital and they got us in and X-ray within 15 min.

Chelsea Petro

Great hospital. Excellent patient care and amazing food!!

ella hyatt

Don't take your kids here! The tech, Cinthia, tried to start an I.V. line in my 12 year old, went for a little surface vein that won't give near enough support for a blood draw, kept digging around, blew out the vein and then tried pulling from the vein with a caring, draw back getting nothing, then are you friking ready for this, pushed the air directly into the vein. Now taking my child to children's to have him checked for that ontop of the original issue...

Jennifer Cottey

Biggest waste of time each time I've come here. They never let me finish my iv fluids any time that they're given. I only ever get half of it or less. They do not help with pain whatsoever unless you're dying so don't bother trusting them with your care. Nurse and doctor let me sit in agonizing pain for 3 hours only to be discharged without finishing my fluids. Gave me something without telling me what it was and made me super sick. Will not be going back ever again.

Charles Foldes

BEWARE, if this hospital is out of network for your insurance and you are not brought here on stretcher, your bill could be astronomical! Went here for lab work, blood panels, and asked the approximate cost. The receptionist and one of the nurses could not provide any cost information. They also did not tell me there was a number for UC Health I could call to get an approximate cost. I figured it could cost about ten times what Quest Diagnostics would charge. Try more like forty times the cost of Quest. One panel alone cost $400. According to UCHealth, the cost of a test tube, some small quantity of reagent, and a minute of a technicians time to read the result is $400 worth of service. The nurse who did the blood draw did do an excellent job, I wish I could give a good rating for that. I am especially disappointed with the two employees I asked at the hospital for an approximate cost who did not tell me that a phone number even existed for UCHealth that I could call to get a cost estimate. I feel like I’ve been robbed with no recourse.

If you think memorial Central, is bad don't go here!! IJS.. staff was rude, moving quickly and just didn't give AF!! How they even got in healthcare is beyond me. Hope they never take care of my family members in the future. CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING IS NEEDED HERE.. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! HIDE YA KIDS.. RUN..

Celeste Bogdanoff

Got in quickly. All medical personnel were attentive and caring. Felt very well taken care of.

Monique Palacio

Would give 0 stars if I could. The doctor and nurse were very rude. They didn’t seem like they cared or even listened to what was wrong with there patient. I would never recommend anyone coming here even if you were dying. All they cared about was talking about themselves. Very unprofessional!

Jordyn

place never bills insurance even though you let them know before even getting put into a room, will harass you through the mail for your money and dont even have a billing department to dispute issues like IGNORING someones medical insurance, staff overall nice but way overpriced, i would rather suffer than come to this hospital ever again. pretty disappointing.

Cathy Cupp

This was the most pleasant emergency room visit I've ever had. I got right in, and the staff was upbeat and helpful and sweet from beginning to end. The doctor was personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. I would highly recommend this place.

Katie Barron

I've never been treated with such kindness at a hospital! The nursing staff is great, and I haven't had any issues with any of the physicians! Thanks for taking care of me so well! I will use only this ER from now on!

Nicole Mclaurin

Beautiful hospital, great staff!

$14,000 bill for a dislocated shoulder that took 30 seconds to pop back in place. The staff was friendly enough but did not seem to know what they were doing, did not seem to know where supplies were located, had to go rummaging around in different lockers to find what was needed. I would not go here again.

gloria warner

I came here yesterday to the emergency room for abdominal pain. My nurse, Ellen, was so kind and went out of her way to show me my test results and labs. My tech, Mac, was amazing and gave me the fastest IV I've ever gotten. My CT was administered by Mike, who told great stories and treated me with respect. They found out that my appendix needed to be removed. Thankfully, they have an outpatient surgery center attached. My nurses on the surgical side were exceptional, funny, and so caring. Jessica and Barbara did my pre and post op, answered all of my questions, and made CERTAIN that all of my concerns were addressed. They introduced me to my anesthesiologist, Dr. Irelan, and my surgical nurse, Heather.

Rachel Onken

I went in because my symptoms got so severe I was really scared. I do not have insurance and understood this would be a huge bill on my family. I am married with three children. The only thing the Dr could worry about was if I drink or use illegal street drugs? Is that your way of not having to do your job? I am so upset!! Because I just go in to the er knowing I will have a huge bill because I am a drug addict alcoholic. Turns out it's an Aura migraine. In his report summary wanting to charge me for a drug screen was his main concern. What ever happened to the care in health care? Now I have a huge bill just so I could be treated like something I am not. UPDATE: I did receive a phone call back regarding this matter. The woman I spoke with was very kind and listened to my concern. It has made me feel much better about the situation. I will change this review after the situation is handled. The care I received last night was not how I was treated today.

Bryan White

Very happy did great job

If I could give 0 stars, I would!! I was admitted here after complications to a surgery that I had. Upon arrival, they had to change my room three times (although I was only one of three people on the floor). So although in tons of pain with a husband trying to find me, I wasn't placed in a room until 10 minutes after arriving. That was after the EMT had to call the hospital to unlock the door to even wheel me in- like, really? After being admitted, I was told that they would be taking multiple vitals and blood samples from me. Anytime I got a new test it was sent to my UCHealth app but never once discussed to me in person. One of my tests came back with a low count in my white blood cells and they were worried I had Leukemia and did a second test. Guess how I found this out? Through a message in my UCHealth APP... not one single human ever spoke to me about these! It wasn't until I asked my charge nurse that I even got acknowledged about them and her reply to me? "Oh, you're going to make me really sad. Please don't look at those." Uuuhhh.... Three days in the hospital and I was finally able to be released. The next 7 months after my stay were going to be the worst. Grandview tried to bill my stay in FULL and didn't even go through my insurance. When I found this out and called them, they didn't even know who I was, because the hospital didn't keep record of my stay accurately. When calling my insurance, they said they spoke with Grandview and Grandview admitted they didn't even process everything correctly. Needless to say, my husband and I have called Anthem 8+ times, Grandview 3, and we are still waiting to get my actual bill. What an absolute mess!! Please, do not go to Grandview.

I went to their ER to get my blood pressure checked, they checked my blood sugar with a pen,did a urinalysis and an echocardiogram and they billed me almost $7k! So ridiculous! It's almost like i had a surgery or something. This is why their lawsuit is going to pile up! They overbill!!! Do not go to this place!

Make sure this hospital is in your network before you subject yourself to subpar care. Bring part of the UC Healthcare system does not guarantee they are considered to be in network for your insurance. I have one of the largest insurers and they are considered out of network. Because I trusted the CU Health system I am now paying thousands more. I was admitted with diabetic ketoacidosis via stand alone CU emergency room. It took a good hour before anyone showed up to evaluate me. At this point everything the ER staff did to stabilize me had worn off. I would never recommend or elect to go back to this hospital.
