My daughter was admitted here last night. When she was transferred we were greeted by the doc right away. They worked quick and hard. Staff is very friendly and will do whatever they can to help you.

Great ER staff for children!

We had the best experience there when my four year old needed some stitches. From the front desk, nurses, P.A.'s and doctors, everyone was so nice and efficient. They had a child specialist that came in and explained everything to my son that was happening so that he wasn't scared. Very impressed!!

This place doesn't seem like an a "children's emergency". It seems more like a children's doctors office. I am thankful that nothing bad happened to my nephew while we waited for confirmation of insurance. The sign says emergency. After my nephew was finally seen, his parents struggled with limited after care instructions for a serious injury to his neck.

Fifth hospital to let a violent autistic child walk out without any help.

They really helped me. With me being a first time mom, I was worried about my month old baby. They made me feel like they actually cared about us and explained everything very well.

I would never choose to come here by choice. Was transported due to it being the closest childrens hospital. We were cohearsed into doing a risky procedure I did not see necessary on my son. Only to feel like I was backed into a corner about receiving medication treatment they weren't 100% sure he needed. Then turned around took him off medication and ordered more extensive testing that was suppose to be closely monitored and observed. Monitored and observed by myself and my husband apparently. Our initial entry through the ER was pleasant but once transferred upstairs we had one good nurse and a string of younger non caring non attentive rude bad ones. Shift change would take place and it would be hours before anyone would come into check on my son. Even when they did enter I would be questioned if I was performing their jobly duties and asked to come and find them when I had to provide them the information needed to complete their reports. We become extremely frustrated and upset with lack of care my son should've received and we were so obviously being billed for. Lets not forget how eager they were to come in and make sure to get insurance info. I was relieved to leave there only to under no circumstances ever return.

I would not in a million years take my kid back to that ER to have his NG tube placed back in. The nurses are rude disrespectful and homophobic. They taped his tube so bad i had to redo it because it was blocking his nostrils. Which resulted in him having even more skin breakdown then before. Don’t learn the hard way like us just drive to Denver children’s.

I don't know if it's policy to ask for payment information first or what. They cared more about payment information then for our grandson.

My daughter had tonsils and adenoids removed here by Doctor Dobbie. I was a bit nervous coming to the new hospital but knowing they are strictly for children is helpful. I met a lady named Jen in the surgery department while waiting for my daughter and I must say she was so great! She talked with me, kept me updated as to every little detail she could & even opened doors for me as I pushed my grandmother in her wheelchair around because there was no buttons to open the doors for handicap (STRANGE.) Doctor Dobbie is AMAZING, her bedside manner is extremely sincere. She actually cares! The multiple check ins on us made us feel comfortable knowing she remembered us. Unfortunately we were admitted as we had a few complications so we were moved up to a different floor. The staff was pleasant, there were a few hiccups along the way as it was a new hospital and not everyone was in sync quiet yet. The PICU was helpful and quiet. I was pleased with the treatment my daughter received! I can say I am thankful to have the new children’s hospital here in Colorado Springs! Now, Security really needs to step up the plate tho, they harassed my family at 9am in the morning but the same people were allowed in at 830pm the day prior with no check in, no stickers no nothing. (However there was an employee sitting at the picu check in desk chatting with her “friend” for all hours of the night so not sure who slipped up here.) Tho security was playing video games and sitting on Facebook directly by the front door ignoring people as they come in shouldn’t be the proper example for the new hospital...

We just relocated from Florida, and right before we left our 2 year old was diagnosed with impetigo which worsened once treatment ended instead of improving. We were prescribed an antibiotic by a separate dr, and by the following morning she was having a full blown allergic reaction. We rushed her to Colorado Springs Children’s Hospital and received immediate and wonderful care. The entire staff were very helpful and kind. I’ve been having trouble landing on a family doctor, and thanks to the recommendation the doctor gave me I feel much better about our long term care as well. Definitely recommend this hospital.

We just had an amazing experience with the ER this evening. The staff was so friendly, patient, and attentive, the facility itself was clean and bright, and I loved that they offered so many amenities to keep the children comfortable and happy (toys, movies, popsicles). Hopefully we don’t have to return, but if we do I’m glad to know we’ll be in great hands.

Mason broke his arm jumping from the monkey bars. We were sent to Children’s hospital so that an orthopedic surgeon could determine if he needed surgery. We were taken in right away when we arrived. The doctor wanted to do a reduction, when it’s your child you are a nervous wreck, she however kept me calm and explained everything to me. The hospital staff were amazing. Thank you for keeping Mason comfortable and getting his arm fixed!

Absolutely caring and thoughtful staff. Each of them made me feel at ease

We were so nervous to come to new hospital, as we have been commuting to Anshutz in Denver. My girl is fighting cancer once again, this visit has been more than amazing considering all circumstances. Staff has been so friendly, treat us like family. I love the attention she receives and the top notch nursing and oncology care. I’m glad God made our stay as pleasant as possible as we walk in fear of...what next. I’m very comfortable here and will return to this hospital if needed.

At the old location they used to have an urgent care and they could get you in with a specialist in a reasonable timeframe. That was three years ago. Now in the new shiny building, the only two options we have are emergency room or waiting 6-7 weeks to be seen. Really? How is this improvement? I was glad to hear that we have a children's hospital in Colorado Springs, until we actually needed to be seen but could not. We won't be patients here until they fix their processes. If my kid has an issue, I need an appointment soon not 6-7 weeks from now! Sounds like military/VA health(nobody)care.

This place needs more diversity, took my son here for a appointment he had. The nurses were rude this is a children's hospital they should at least smile if they don't like there job they can go work at a regular hospital that's not for kids, the greeter at the front desk was nice though other then that they need to work on there costumer service .

Jennifer Shepherd

We came to the ER bc my son had a barking cough and was wheezing. There was no one else in the waiting room and my son (4) was seen right away. The nurses/doctors were great. They diagnosed him correctly and quickly. Even put on the Minions movie in his room to calm him down. I'm thankful they're in the Springs now. Edit: I do wish they would open the Urgent Care again. I don't know if there's a huge difference from the ER, but insurance companies definitely say there is!

Ashley Norton

My son was in the children's hospital for 2 days for low oxygen. The staff was very helpful and comforting. I appreciate all the doctor and nurse that took great care of my son. And made it also comfortable for me also even though a hospital stay for your child is never fun.

I had to take my daughter to the Children’s Hospital ER last week and I was a little skeptical based on the reviews. I was very relieved because the staff that helped us were amazing!! Caring, friendly, patient, and they took their time with us. We didn’t feel rushed or like we were just another number. Our ER nurse Stephanie and ER Doctor Listman were phenomenal!! They continuously checked on my daughter, played with her and answered all of my questions!!

My daughter who has a complex medical history, suddenly become ill and was treated for some mild respiratory distress. The entire staff, from the front desk, the nurses, respiratory therapist, and the ED physician were all very nice and accommodating! It's a relief to know we now have this resource close to home.

Great experience. We were quickly seen at the ER and had a positive experience from the Dr and all the staff. The mini-Till restaurant was a nice touch as a food option. Glad to have a resource like this in town.
