They are dirty, unprofessional, a lot of people die there!

The doctors and nurses are great. The inept staff at the information desk should be fired. They don't care about the family members of the patients. They act as if you are bothering them if they have to answer a question. Very unprofessional. Way to go Harbor General.

When you have a baby, especially your first one, your experience should be something you look back on and smile about. My experience when I had my son here was horrible. The nurses and doctor in the delivery room were amazing and so sweet. They made sure I was comfortable and they tried they're best to make it a great experience. But after I had my baby I got moved to some other room next to labor and delivery. And oh my god I've never in my life been so mistreated by nurses before. I was given dirty looks, I hardly was checked on by the nurses, I was ignored when I told them I was in pain and the room I was in was dirty and they were extremely rude to me. I don't understand why. Is it because I'm a 19 year old mom? Is it my race? I don't understand what drove them to be so hateful towards me. I'm a medical student myself, this is no way to treat a patient we have rights, and if you have the audacity to treat people like garbage then maybe you shouldn't be in the medical field. To be a nurse you have to have something called compassion, which these nurses at harbor ucla were definitely lacking.

These 5 star ratings are fake. This hospital was rated at 2 and a half stars and then all of a sudden, non descriptive 5 stars. One admitted he worked there. Talk about padding your numbers. This place is horrible. Staff are rude and unprofessional.

I owe you guys a big thank you ❤ for putting me quickly into surgery and attending me in the most kindest manners. I literally felt like I had no hope, the california hospital in downtown did not want to do the surgery on me, I'm very happy and glad you guys did an amazing job and are very professional. Thanks once again.

Had my son there and my experience was horrible. First when i asked for them to call my husband they told him i was getting diacharged when i was in labor so he missed it. Then they were suppose to start my labor which they said i would have him the next day but when the intern was suppose to insert a ballon then i just heard her say she put double the amount of water so she made me bleed out which caused me to have an emergency c section. The worst part when they took me in for my c section they didn't give me anything they just cut me open if i didn't scream from the pain they might have never put me to sleep.

horrible hospital waited 10 hours for my broken hand

Alexys Delgado

DO NOT GO. I had a motorcycle accident and they were not very useful I had to request my own ct and other tests because I knew something was wrong, they told me “ no you don’t need it you’re ok” and when the test results came- I was right. Something was wrong. ER needs to get a better trauma team.

Meeka Smith

Love this place they saved my life last year when I was really sick and delivered my baby yesterday via c-section without any complications for me. Don't care the distance I have to drive will come here rain or shine!!!!

Sean Stow

Went in for a swollen knee. Ended up having surgery. They said they had recupritive care and was lied to. Even the shelter was lied about aswell. Now I am chilling, homeless and still in agony. Don't go there. They lie and Drs are careless

I will never bring my child here again.. Unprofessional June 13th 2019 me and my husband and our two babies came to the emergency room because the youngest which is 2 years old was wheezing we've come to this hospital before and never have we been treated this way in the beginning I gave the receptionist my daughters credentials so that I can send to my daughter and she can get the information off the card They gave her a wristband and gave us a room in the back while in the back another lady comes and tells us the reception is copied the information off the card room and if we don't go fix it our daughter cannot get care there the doctor began to argue with her and tell as it is okay our daughter will get care right away they proceeded to tell us that our two-year-old needs and IV inserted into her arm the scariest thing I ever been through like I said she's wheeze before and never had to go to this extreme they said they would have to admit her to ICU pediatric Ward that's when the real nightmare begin before they admitted her they asked my husband and five year old to leave out and they held my baby down how to insert an IV they poked her so many times in the wrong spot to the point they had to call a male nurse and he came and got the job done within 5 Seconds when me and my family enter the Pediatric area I was a little distraught to see them my daughter will be put in a cage but I understood that it was for her safety dr. Tiffany was the first person I met she was wonderful her shift was over in a few hours into our stay the staff were so rude on that floor not understanding at all of what a parent or a child is going through very insensitive of people needs are we going to get Restless so the nurse told me it was okay for me to go home I I did not feel comfortable leaving my baby alone so I have my mom change shifts also my husband I read a sign that said my five-year-old could come visit I knew that would make her sister's day staff for very rude and disrespectful to my five-year-old as well as my two year old they assigned us a middle-aged Hispanic nurse that was so rude to the point where I asked them to remove the IV so I can take my daughter to get better treatment at a better Hospital the hostility thickened once I wanted to remove my child from that facility the nurse begin to say things to make my child cry I began to get hysterical as well there was a paper that she wanted me to sign saying that I was leaving without consent I told her this was all about the money and they were just trying to give my daughter IVs and so many drugs to get paid from the insurance she would not stop saying negative things so I covered my baby's ears and got out of that hospital as quickly as possible we proceeded to Children's Hospital on Sunset in Hollywood where the care was much more comforting and my child was not as sick as UCLA Harbor was betraying her to be while I was at Children's Hospital dr. Chin or Zen called my phone to give me follow-up instructions not once did they mention they were calling the police on me and my family as well as children service everything felt like a setup I'm hoping no one ever gets treated or disrespected this way again I will be taking this all the way to the top This is humiliating for me and my family and I feel like it was also UCLA Harbor can make extra money there was no Hospitality whatsoever I've also contacted the board for registered nurse for whom this may concern.

Mireya Magana

8 hours and counting. Got here at 1 pm and still having seen a doctor. There other people coming and going like nothing.

Cheap Prices

I have absolutely no idea what any of these 1 stars are about but Harbor General is the best hospital hands down, at least in LA county that I know of and if I have a choice I would never go anywhere else. They are very very thorough.

0 stars. The reviews here with 5 stars are fake as previously mentioned before. I also saw 2 stars and now all of a sudden there are random 5 stars with no descriptions. This place is horrible where all the workers are there only to get paid. After i got a menicus and acl surgery, the discharging nurse discharged me without any instructions on what to do after surgery. So for the first two weeks i was just lauimg in bed waiting for a stupid phone call from them to give me some kind of instructions. YOU HAD ONE SIMPLE JOB STUPID NURSE. IT WAS A SIMPLE PACKET THAT YOU PICK UP AND GIVE TO EVERY OF UR PATIENTS THAT WENT THROUGH SURGERY. I’ve been here several times and the workers here seem so careless. I even contacted the operator couple times but these lazy pieces of shts didn’t want to properly assist me and would direct me to departments not related to my issue. WHY DO YOU HIRE INCOMPETENT WORKERS? I am currently in the urgent care and can hear the workers through the thick glass laughing and joking around. It’s been 3 hours so far and been seeing people who came after me being assisted first. BTW average wait time for anything in this building is 5 hours plus. I said AVERAGE wait time.. there were couple times i waited over 8 hours. Some real bullcrap that they’re running here. I was not going to write a negative review because not all the workers are this horrible, but today was the last straw and sorry to the workers that’s properly doing their job and going above and beyond.

Right now still waiting. Tenth hr. Did get blood work done and ultrasound. The lady in there didn't change the beets from previous girl. I know since I saw gel on the sheets. That was gross and then she asked me if I still had uterus. S though I would have been sent there!! No insurance so felt compelled to come here. Hope to be seen soon and some idea of what's going on in my belly.

one of my friend say this hospital no charge from pations.but as soon i get there african american black guy ask me to register for pay.but i ask how much i shuld pay.he told me it will be end of sessorn.so i told him im good and say bye.they are crooks.person like me doesent have insurence very helpless, they must tell the amount in advance, but all the time they charge $900 to $1900.it is too high pay from poor patios pocket, peoples doesent have insurence all;ways helpless.i saw most of doctors talking long coversation over cell phones and nerses plying solitere medical computers.dont go there you will rather die.

Sergio Garcia

Don't come here for emergencies. The staff is very lazy and don't really care at all. They also lack the ability to communicate efficiently with patients. They spend more time talking to each other rather than making sure everybody is doing okay. It really sucks to see all these people working here and be so incompetent. During my visit I saw many employees with bad attitude. I really would like someone to supervise these people to make sure they are doing their jobs. It is our money that is being used here and we deserve a decent treatment.

Seth Williams

I just want to say that first overall I have received very good care here for my injuries. The staff here been excellent and very attentive and I feel that I am safe here . I am in a difficult transitional period in my life facing homelessness and they are doing everything they can to help me stay off the street, in addition to treating my physical injuries and mental problems. I have never been in a situation like this, never been stuck in the hospital long term, and one could definitely do worse than Harbor UCLA! I am very grateful that I have Medi-Cal to pay for this house I would not otherwise be able to have this care. Thank you God and thank you to everyone at Harbor for making my stay as good as possible

Abraham Morejon

People are nice here i have a great doctor

H.i .S

An addition to my previous rating: one more area the doctors or staff need to focus on would be detailed care instructions on how to take care of certain surgical proceedures as I wasn't informed and as a result suffered consequences, however I could have made a call & asked but due to unfortunate circumstances had to jeapordize my injury as well as the healing process of it. But just some additional factors to take into consideration.

This place is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you will get. My first time here I had snickering, condescending "staff" attending to me who were making fun of my ailments. I had a surgery here that turned out perfectly!!!! APPLAUSE!!!! I have other hot and cold stories. So as you go in, just hope for something good!

Bianca KaShMir

Horrible PLACE!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT!! HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNERS...DO NOT COME UP HERE!

Angie LadyBug

Womans clinic is the worst. Appointments take over 3 hours. Come prepared with a snack and water. I always see a different doctor I always feel rush and often forget what I intended to ask. This is my first pregnancy and I won't recommend someone to experience the same. I felt the appointments were pointless.

Carolyn McKnight

Some off the staff are amazing

I came in at 6pm, found out i was pregnant. Was bs'ed about getting a room. They wouldn't let my husband in with me, and had me sitting in the hallway for 12 hours just to say they dont really know why i am having stach problems. Doctor was rushing my service and i was forgotten about. My nurse said no doctors assigned themselves to me which is part of the reason i had to wait long in the first place. Ridiculous. Hated my experience, never comimg back, never reccomending.

olga flores

This is my worst experience ever. I went in because I have been feeling really dizzy in the last couple of months. I just fount out I have a cyst in my brain. Idk if the dizziness is caused by the cyst but when I actually was seen after an 11 hr wait in the waiting room, I was seen by student residents who looked and acted like they just graduated middle school. I was never seen by an actual dr and was never even acknowledged that I had a cyst. I was not further evaluated for this cyst issue and was actually told there was nothing wrong with me other than that I had some stupid vertigo. I don't believe this is the case and I am truly disgusted at their decisions. The residents didn't even know what was wrong with me so they decided they were going to Google it and give me some dumb stupid response. In the end I was told to look up some kind of excersise on You tube to help cope with my symptoms. This is by far the worst experience ever and I recommend people go elsewhere for urgent medical care. Even tho I had a severe headache and a bp of 204/102 I was treated like if I were nothing. I'm so disappointed in the place where I thought I was gonna get treated with respect and some kind of professionalism. I'm so disgusted and will for sure never come to this place again!!!

Brut Hh

I did not like this hospital because they did not attend my dad. I do not recommend this hospital because the people that work there are RACIST PEOPLE!!!!

Great service with my Mom and her heart attack

Marcia Guzman

Worst experience at this hospital I came in for a allergic reaction, they gave me a pill and made me sit outside for 12 hours and still no help my face is still swollen I have big rashes but no one can help The first RN that helped me was very nice and concern on how I was doing, but everyone else was so rude seamed like I was asking for they paycheck. The two nurses in the lobby we so rude and were no help, one was being so rude and smart with her comments about my visit; the other one was giving me so much push back and a attitude. This hospital has to get it together and help out sick patients just like the injured, honestly 12 hours and everyone that came after me left before 6 hours; I mean I don't mind sitting outside with everyone else but give me something for my rashes and swelling. At the end the doctor was great I was helped by the same RN if I could rate them too I it would be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But everyone else has to go to a cast training ASAP

The doctors , nurses and all the staff are so kind...

I have never gone to an emergency room and waited as long as I am waiting here. There aren't that many people in this waiting room but some of these people were here before I got here and their names haven't even been called. The thing that I don't understand is that when you get here they have a nurse look at you they take all the tests that they need to and so in the end you really just waiting on results. It doesn't make any sense why they can't have a doctor read results to you and why you have to wait for her room which can take hours. They don't tell you how long it's going to be which although I understand I still think is fairly dumb. What they will tell you is that the longest wait time is 10 hours and then let you know how long you've been there and tell you to count down from there. Over all the nurses that I experienced were good and or nice and for that reason I would probably give it three stars. But other than that I will absolutely never come back here and it's a huge disappointment. The people at the front could definitely use some work with the exception of this one really nice lady who tries. It should not take this long to get results back and when I asked them if I could get my results the next day and take it to my doctor so I don't have to wait here because I have work in 4 hours they told me that it would take 3 to 5 business days for me to be able to get that. It's just frustrating because when they send blood back it doesn't take 3 hours, and x-ray doesn't take 3 hours for the results, what's taking so long it's simply that they are waiting for a room for somebody to be able to read me my results that is ridiculous.

Vivvermonroe Young

My doctors, surgeons and nurses are very nice, diligent, and thorough during my stays there.

Jo Garcia

Brought my mom checked in at 8pm today and it’s now 6am 10 HOUR WAIT plus they didn’t label my moms pee cup made her fill another one drew her blood 3 times and we don’t even have a clue as to what she has. 10 HOURS in the dark and we are still waiting for a bed. She now has what looks like pink eye mind you she did not have that before we came in. Now it’s literally a game as to how many nurses I can help find patients to. One called and called till I told her they already called him inside. Second one was placing a patient in a room then franticly calling for him when he was sent to room B so I let them know where he was sent to. Like seriously I’m either here for way to long I am memorizing patients name and where they go or staff is well I don’t have word that’s beneath no ethics and morals. TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES SOMEWHERE ELSE. 10 hours and still waiting !!!!!!

Jonathan Choi

I came to UCLA-Harbor for emergency medication needs because of my indigent status as an ininsured college graduate fresh out of school and because it was open on weekends. I was told that I was to go to the Exodus Clinic there. I walked in about 50 minutes after they opened and seated myself in their waiting room in front of their television. The one nurse that they had in the front was very nice and welcoming. They took my vitals, something I have done on an unfortunately frequent basis since I entered the healthcare system as someone with a permanent medical condition, and watched the television on the wall. There, I waited in their rather comfortable chairs for about 3 hours before anyone saw me. I was told the wait was so long because the doctors had to attend to the needs of the patients in the hospital, which I could respect. When the doctor saw me, I have to admit I was getting very antsy and impatient. But I kept my calm and remained respectful. The doctor was an older gentleman who seemed to be in his early thirties. He asked me the standard questions: what medications I took, how long, any allergies, how many hospital visits I have had, if I had insurance, what my primary medical conditions were. Then I was asked when my last blood test was. My medication requires me to take blood tests regularly because of the impacts to my liver and kidney function. I told him the last time I took a blood test was about a month ago and everything seemed to be fine regarding my lithium level. He then asked me to go outside and wait for him to come with my prescriptions. After another wait of about 30 minutes, he came out again. He sat next to me and declared that he had both "good news and bad news". The good news was that he could provide me with one of the medications, the one I had still a lot of and wasn't urgent to my medical condition. Then he told me that he wasn't able to provide me with the other medications because he would need to take a blood test. I answered that I would agree to a blood test. Then he told me that they would be unable to provide me with a blood test without really explaining why. I was completely stunned at his answer. In frustration, I asked him rather rudely why he was unable, as a medical professional, give me a blood test. He didn't answer. Instead, he said that I should go to the emergency room to get my blood drawn. I knew that since I do not have insurance, that I would be billed a huge amount for an ER visit. I told him as much and he just shrugged as if saying 'Not my problem.' He then proffered a limp "I understand your frustration", then left me speechless. I waited four hours (one hour in the car and three in the waiting room) for a medical professional at this hospital to tell me that he couldn't help me. I have had many bad experiences in the mental health system in Los Angeles. And I am a responsible person. I work 40 hours a week and commute by bus because my illness incapacitates me. Unlike some others that I know, I work hard to stay stable and have access to my meds. But it almost seems like no matter what I do, nobody gives one iota of empathy to my situation in the mental health profession and the community at large. I could pay huge sums out of pocket for my medication to stay stable and responsible and they find some way to screw me is how this experience made me feel. And, when I was distraught and asking the same nurse in the waiting room who I could talk to about this, he told me rather brusquely with accusing eyes that the doctor I had spoken to was the only one in attendance. So I left helplessly. I apologize for the rather lengthy review of this hospital. But if you live in Los Angeles and want to get some emergency medical care and you have a mental health condition, DO NOT come to this clinic. It is a sad excuse of a clinic and the doctor is a fascist who probably cares more for his rich patients in Palos Verdes or Beverly Hills than the poor, working class patients in the community that he works in.

alphonse rodil

This place sucks. My dad has an open wound and its bleeding really hard. It took me half an hour to find parking, 1 hour to be taken care of and 3 more hours and counting now to see the doctor. If you dont want to get your loved ones killed dont bring them here.

Michael Cain

I went to this hospital needing help I could barely walk I needed a wheelchair I go from One room to another then some kid tell me to fellow him to the clinic I can barely walk I'm in pain and he's got me walking across the hospital he's looking at me like I'm bothering him never once asking me if was ok . So I get to the clinic and I'm thinking wow there's getting to me fast 1st person to see me is the some guy with a two thousand dollar bill tell me I need to go to the financial office within 7 days ok I know that finally the nurse come in does her thing Then the doctor come in tell me to move my legs for him were talking and he asked me about the financial thing I told him the guy said to come back in 7 days for that He's said I should go today . They give me a shot said it would help it didn't help the nurse tall me to wait in the waiting room I can still barely walk about a half hour later I tell the nurse the shot didn't help I ask her why no x/Ray's said I didn't need for sciatica Tell me to sign here I tell her I need wheelchair to get to my car she ok she comes back with a new cane I tell her that not going to work I'm in to much pain I need a wheelchair all I got was the cane I barely made it my I car couldn't believe that let me leave there like that she could see that I was a fall risk just didn't care if I was to fall The nurse and the doctor seemed like people maybe there to busy

Flora Grant

I had surgery here great place

Richard Lares

My youngest child was having a earache and staff was fast and made sure my kid was attended to in a quick manner. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Billing gives you the run around when it comes to sending out your bill to your insurance company!

Billy Dennis

I am on my husband's google account but I have to share my experience. I started going to harborUCLA faithfully when I found out that I was pregnant. It was all good up until I went in to deliver. The doctor that delivered my child had been there the 3 previous days since I was admitted. I truly doubt she got a good 8 hrs of sleep all together within those 3 days and because of that she was not patient with my child and ruptured nerves which caused brachial plexus in one of his arms. I am extremely grateful that it is not severe but I do blame her.

Miriam Nieblas

Terrible service at the ER 11hrs waiting for my husband to be seen he is in pain with knee swollen and infection,

Juanuriel Ulloa

If I could give them a 0 star in the pedeoatrocs side I would because I always come in time and they take so long to attend me worst service also they use there phones and laugh when there’s people waiting and the doctors just talk and laugh like it’s a party do not recommend always laughing and joking instead of attending the people waiting

Edgar Tapia

The truth they treat my uncle real nice, from the beginning they act real professional!!!

Brittany Snowden

I have never ever stayed at an emergency so long 15hrs. I have been at different emergency rooms before that have been busy. This was nothing that looked busy. To stay that long is ridiculous. They need to improve.

James McCoy

About 600 people went through today. Been here 6hrs. Dont have bed yet. 9+ pain. (Kidney stones). Nice enough people.

Joseph Anderson

Professional, caring doctors and support staff cared for me during my stay. They went above and beyond to facilitate my every need and request, making sure I received proper medical attention and placement after my discharge even though I had no expensive insurance.

Rosemary Barron

Since 2am I've been telling them they need to call my methadone clinic so i can get my dose. Next day, NOTHING!! never got my medicine. I told them all day that i need it & they need 2 call. 6:20 Dr comes in 4 the number but i told him"THEY CLOSED AT 6 p.m." Now i got to wait & see if they call @ 5am so i can get my dose!!!! They dont care! There's a guy yelling for food & nurses are laughing, its real funny to ne HUNGRY!!!

Florence Guerra

The doctors and nurses here are very friendly and knowledgeable. However, my uncle ended up passing away after he had been told that he would make it. (He had squamous cell carcinoma on his cheek) Not the hospitals fault, just life. It is a horrible thing to see someone you love so much suffer and have to die this way. Fortunately, he died at home and not alone in the hospital like so many others do. Overall, I do believe the doctors, medical students, and staff did the best they could.

Daniel Davis

Came in lost and broken. By the time I get home I don't recognize my reflection, those doctors transformed me back to shiny and new. Thanks Dr. Hoshino. Thank you Dr. Taylor P. S. I really don't know what happened to the wound vac.

Pastor

Excellent customer service dr's and nurses most specialy 7th floor! God bless us all

Yazmin Lopez

Doctors And nurses are super helpful. During my grandmas last days they made sure she had anything she desired. Really appreciated there service and kindness during those times.

Kyra Kurita

Literally, there is 3 patients in the ER department and all of us are wondering where the heck the doctor is and all the nurses are sitting around having fun with one another, and when we ask for help, they ignore us. Been here for over 6 hours, over an hour ago they said I was going home with a prescription. I'm literally sitting and waiting for one stupid prescription and none of the "attending" staff are doing anything! Also, be careful, ALWAYS ASK WHAT MEDICINE THEY ARE GIVING YOU, I was prescribed medication I'm severely allergic to, and that information is in the system, so they knew about it.

Cisco Gomez

Remodeling in process, new installations are nice, security checkpoint at the entrance make you feel safe, trying to find a parking spot is a mission impossible....

Jocelyn Boo

Well I love that everyone is genourous and nice and can keep calm no matter the situation. Kids go in very fast I love it.

Arlette Amezcua

This is the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a hospital. The front desk girls were so rude. My mom and I waited there since 11:30pm to 9am in the morning and they still wouldn’t attend my mom. Girls in the front gave my mom attitude saying there’s more people ahead that have bigger health issues. Girls there are literally stuck up and they even talk about you with their other coworkers right in front of you. Will never be coming here again.

Mau Eb

Workers of here included RNs are not so helpful. It is not at all but it was unless people. Talking too much, I have to ask the same thing many times. They forget esilily to tell what I asked to proper person so many times. Unfortunately I can’t count on them as medical specialists..

Ayana Saunders

Certain I would get better service and be seen faster at a veterinarian hospital. The nurse at the front desk was so curt... basically told me my wait time was not long enough compared to other patients who had been waiting for 10+ hours!!! First, what does my wait time and medical issue have to do with theirs? Second, doesn’t that in some way violate patient privacy? As my head continued to spin from being ill all I could do was burst into laughter. The system is broken. Folks just don’t care. I cry for people that are in more pain than me. Everyone (patients and staff) deserves better...

Claudia Chavez

I had the worst experience ever I arrived with chest pain and hardly breathing. I checked in at 1:30pm and checked out at 4:45am the next day that's more then 15 hours this is outrageous what is wrong with this hospital emergency. Then I have to wait so long with so much pain I have nothing on my mind but pain and I had my husband with me to help me out and he could not come in with me because of their policy what is all that about I needed help and I did not get it I truly do NOT recommend this hospital at all their employees are HORRIBLE....

Desiree/ Richeen

This place is absolutely horrible. We have experienced the worst service at this facility. Everyone needs to be retrained starting from the security to the cleaning staff. My daughter was involved in a traffic collision and was transported to this hell hole. She arrived around 8:45 am and did not receive anything for pain until 10:30am, it took 5 trys for them to get an x-ray. We we're never asked if she was comfortable with a student attending to her. We did not know he was a student until he was leaving for the day. Around 8pm we we're told she would be admitted, and we asked why and we we're told so she can speak to a Oetho doctor. They figured out she has damn good insurance and they wanted to start billing for stuff. Nope discharge. I am filling complaints, law suits, and everything else. This place is horrible, people that work there are only for a check. No one has good customer service, bed side manner, or manners period.

monica garcia

First of all the rooms were dirty second they changed us to an even more dirtier room I can honestly say the doctor that was assigned to my daughter was very nice! But the nurses in the pediatric emergency care need more professional training!! I was there for 4hours without nothing being done it was until I spoke up that they wanted to act like I was over reacting maybe if they quit talking and do thier job I wont be rude..Never coming back to this hospital again!!

Sarah Brito

this place is horrible. they have absolutely no care for their patients whatsoever. my girlfriend and i got here around 1am and it’s it currently 11:30 and we’re not even close to being done. not only that, once we finally got looked at, we got kicked out of the room for another patient. not to mention this place is disgusting. if i had to choose between suffering with whatever it was i had or coming here, i’d choose to suffer. this place sucks. save yourself 16 hours and go anywhere else but here. wish i could give negative stars.

alvin choi

i am very happy with excellent service here highly recomemded

Alvin Z

Donna, the RN was very caring and very professional. Wait time was under 5mins then my dad was taken inside to see the doctor. Very clean facility too. Sick people do feel better when treated with dignity and respect. Thank you. My dad feels better already.

Aleminesh Meshesha

If l am allowed to name the hospital, I would call it the dead ucla hospital or killer ucla hospital instead of urbor UCLA,l believe all the staff in there is doneat there heart, they're working with out heart, knowledge, respect, they are a lier, I have to sit on the dry chairs for 19 and half hours, I don't speak English and Spanish, my daughter asked them to go with me,one of heartless nurse said oh no family we have translater, sftaf 9 hours waiting for call satdown in different chairs for another 5 hours, aftet total of 14 hours my daughter came inside ,but nothing was happened, no body said nothing for all that hours after the nurse said they have translator and prevent my daughter to come with me, finally while I have abdominal pain and head ache with swelling on right side of Head, they did chest x-ray and EKG, they said I am ok, of course I don't have chest pain or SOB, I am ok with that the problem is in my abdomen and concerned me my head is swelling on one side and psin include my eyes and forhead, the doctor keep telling me"I am not sure" ok if she is not sure, how come I didn't have test for my abdomen and my head, I would rather to die instead of going to that hospital , I keep beg to my daughter to go home, but they said I will have problem later to see a doctor if l live with out proper discharge, what is the difference? I am 66 years old woman had different situation in life, I never cried, but that day I cried, I raised my children, and two of them working as a burse, I told them that I am ashamed on them if they are working as urbor UCLA nurses, I raised them and sending them to nursing school without nothing, I beg then and ask them the name if God to leave the Job and look for another one, I don't know what to say, about the hospital and nurse and doctor who works there, are they grauatde? How? That means I can graduate and be a nurse or doctor hmmm.

Claudia Zaldivar

Dont come up hear with expired tags.sheriffs are so bored..they are looking to tow your car.& dont care the situation your in.My mother is in I.C U!!!GIVE PEOPLE A BREAK UP HEAR!

Margueritte Hillman

Today I am frustrated...... I have gotten excellent care here a few times. I've gotten very poor care too, which forced me to get properly treated at other hospitals. Harbor UCLA saved my life 2011, but the bureaucratic hoops that you have to jump through and endure are nearly unbearable. There are Great employees at Harbor UCLA, Yet the unprofessional employees that patients are at times forced to tolerate in order to get good care make people wish they could go anywhere Except Harbor UCLA. I know that the majority of the employees are excellent and doing the best that they can have their jobs, at the same time, if the customers could weigh in on how the remainder are doing their jobs, I'd speculate that at least 10% of that work force would be fired tomorrow. But this is what happens when there are guaranteed government jobs with no job oversite creates a insular attitude where all you have to do is clock in and clock out no matter how good a job you do or how bad a job to do. The public health system (MediCal) is chronically underfunded, but there was apparently enough money to renovate the ER Dept and other sections of the hospital. In the grand scheme of things, being underfunded is not a reason for keeping employees that are just there to punch a time card and be dismissive of patients just because they can. An electric patient satisfaction survey needs to be at every department desk, just like the more effective and efficient hospitals have. I am on my way back to Harbor UCLA for the FOURTH time because the urgent care clinic doctor said she'd make sure I got my prescription this time, but like before, did not put an override on my medication to the insurance company. Having spent 40+ hours at the ER and Urgent Care, I needed the medication yesterday.......

Spatula Street

Just about the most useless doctors and staff I have ever encountered. Been here since 1pm and my girlfriend still needs her blood transfusion. We are now approaching the 6:30pm mark

Nelly Corredor

If I can rate this hospital a one star I would! My mom went to the ER due to her loosing a lot of blood. Knowing my mom was loosing a lot of blood they had her wait in the waiting room for 3 HOURS! Finally they called her in they had the audacity to tell her she needs a blood transfusion due to loosing to much blood. I couldn’t keep my mouth shut on that one. I told the nurse if you guys would of admitted her right away she wouldn’t need a blood transfusion! The nurse responded “we have other patients as well”. When he said that I told him “when we were walking in right now I saw at least 3 rooms EMPTY!” He had no response of course. I know this hospital has good doctors and nurses but they need to step up when it comes to patients having serious conditions like my mom.

Debra Menefield

Terrible. Meds not ready. Was called in by nurse @ 12:30 still not ready. 20 more mins. They run sick people all over the place. I have bad heart. Nothing done in timely manner. They want you to do all these test a week before your surgery when I could have been had all these tests done earlier in the month. Two tests this week to test last week to take test week for last it's just stupid when they call you at the last minute want you to have a chest x-ray before you see an anesthesiologist well they should have gave me if it was mandatory they should have gave me that x-ray the same time I had the appointment for the anesthesiologists

Rosario Gonzales

Immediate atencio. In emergency room.

Ron Bakke

Well first i would say Wow! I was born at this Hospital in 1969. And I've been a patient here for many things. I was treated with the up most kindness by the Doctors and Nurse's here. Since i been here last 2006 for an ear infection, The Hospital has remodeled and added so many new facilities for Health Servies, and more. (Two thumbs up) Today i had to visit the Emergency room and my visit was not long and again the Nurses were Awesome!!! Can't remember there names. But 5 stars to all of them.

Perla Luna Sanchez

If I could give negative stars I would. My mother has been there since 9 am 2/15 it's 9:30 am 2/16 and she is still waiting to be seen by a doctor. When she asked the nurse how much longer it is going to take they simply say it's a long wait. The receptionist and nurses are beyond rude they have the worst attitude and you have to tell them what they need to do when they are checking you! Why do you have to tell a nurse to check your sugar because you are diabetic and that's the reason you came in for! They should know they have it written down in their chart. This is honestly the next Martin Luther king hospital. Horrible!

Randy Cohen

Trama team B has no compassion whatsoever. They want to discharge me without a wheelchair even though I have a broken leg and cannot walk for at least 6 weeks. Stay Far Far Away!

Jonathan Hil

Orthodontist lady just completely rude disrespectful in a way with her voice people have just arrived to there appointment and she keeps complaining not the first time she been like that complaining about other workers that work here I feel that’s very rude

L.A. Prodigy

From what Ive heard the ER is absolutely terrible. However I DO NOT recommend anyone to have their Primary Doctor in this place. Your appointments would go on for weeks, possibly even months, and when you seriously need to see your doctor they''ll still make u wait a good 3 to 6 weeks. Not a good place if you need to see your doctor in a daily basis

Jenice Richards

I was here at 12pm. When i Arrive they checked everything to me and do some urine and blood test. The nurse gave me a pain reliever and sit at the waiting room again. After like 15-20mins the nurse called me again and ask how was my pain? I said its the medicine didn’t help. So she tell to wait outside. I waited for a hour a hour a hour. I waited for 8hours still here. I ask the front desk already they said need to wait to be called and waiting for my spot. I don’t want to go back here anymore no no no. Now i decide to go home and go to the other hospital.

•j e n n y•

Good hospital and the nurses/doctors are very kind and we didn’t have any problems here people here actually care about the patient Also I see many negative comments about this place and honestly this hospital is better than Gardena Memorial Hospital

Viridiana Gonzalez

The staff in this hospital is very bad, the employees have the worst attitude when they should we working on raising the bar and ensuring patient care is superb. The hospital needs to give Etiquette classes to their employees and learn some maners. I don't recommend this hospital for anyone they have a lot of things to work on.

John Soh

Parking is Horrible. MUST Come least 1hour early. People are arguing for parking spot. Hospital is good.

Angelica Ochoa

I swear the Emergency Area is the worst here. You can be here for more than 5 hours and they will not care to even see you. The wait is way too long!

Marika Blue

One crucial good thing you need to know about this Hospital is that if there are complications during labor they are the absolute experts. But after I gave birth I wasn't being cared for and the hospital took over the role of mother and made all decisions for me for my baby. When I had to stay over the amount of days I was allowed to stay there, I was given a chair in the nursery to stay overnight with my son who had bilirubin and needed to stay longer than me. I was not allowed to eat anywhere but in the waiting room that had a big sign saying "do not eat in the waiting room!" Then after my son was born I came into the hospital at least once every one to three months for one and a half years to make sure all of his shots were up-to-date. Now that he's 2 years old I'm finding out that he didn't get a bunch of shots when he was 1 year old. How can this happen? I don't understand the incompetence. When I go to a hospital I expect to be taken care of. I'm scared of this Hospital although they have experts in their back pocket.

Robert Meister

Excellent experience. Staff attention first rate. Dr. Muhammad was the most caring in the place. He answered all my questions and gave me true and helpful advice.

Latasha coates

If your appointment is a 8 o'clock in the morning you don't get seen till 10 minutes till 5 pm

Road Life

Great with delivering babies but terrible with hospitality when it comes to listening about food. They don’t care about the father or the other kids just the newborn and mommy. As far as they’re concerned anyone other than the mom and baby can take care of themselves. Ask for food and get brought the wrong food.

Rodriguez Izac

I had sergury for my gallbladder and was released the same day. The following day, I went back(emergency room) because of severe pain. I had to wait 14 hours in the waiting room. Recuperating from my gallbladder surgery. 14 hours to see a doctor. It has been my worst visit at this hospital. I am disappointed in the team work this hospital has done today. I hope to get my process over with and never come back. Unsatisfied with the way they run there system.

Kimberly Perry

Got here at 2:30 am! It is now 6:57pm and they only let me lay in a bed for 10 min. Then pulled me out to sit in a chair again. I have not drunk, eaten or slept or layed down all this time. People coming after me has passed me and already gone home. Bad enough the nurse practitioner was pulled away and no one would help me for hours. Now they just keep smiling and saying sorry while I cry out of misery. This hospital is horrible so many things I can say.. definitely the new killer king

Julene Stephanie Good

Bruce Lawrence

Great nurses and drs.

ki G

The worst experience. I arrived at 11am at the ER room and left at 2am when I finally was called back to see a doctor I did not get to see a actual doctor but intern (I found out the person was a intern hrs later) the intern talk to me I had several health issues and he said I should follow up with primary care physician. I was told that he didn't think I needed to stay overnight in the hospital (this was excellent news to me) and made it sound like he would be discharging shortly. One hr goes by I ask the nurse who never got back to me I had to walk to the ER station where they where all congergate and then she finally ask doctor, or who I thought at the time was a doctor, if I could be discharged and was told he needed to get approval from "doctor. We ended up spending an additional 4hrs in the back and I was told that they didn't know when doctor would discharge me. My elderly mom who drove me was w/ me, we where both exhausted, hungry, and just feed up so I left so that I could get some rest. You are treated like cattle with a tracking number at this hospital. My experience was beyond disbelief and I would say go else where for emergency services. I will never return to this hospital again. Never. As an aside, I could hear all the nurse staff laughing talking about movies their personal life from my room in the emergency room. When your in pain and discomfort or when 12am rolls around you think the staff would show consideration to their chuckle and noise level so patients can rest while waiting. Run from this establishment if you have other alternatives it was a very depressing and demoralizing experience.

AngieJ R

My son was transferred from Millers in Long Beach and they took excellent care of my son while he was inpatient. The team of doctors would come every morning and i couldn't of been more happier with the service and care while he was in the hospital. Thank you!

Jacob Jones

Good nurses.

Chanelle Jones

Best hospital. Full of eager Dr's wanting to make you look and feel and be healthy!!!

Neslihan Payne

This is the absolute worst hospital. My brother was in the emergency room waiting for hours and they didn't want to attend him in the end because he "didn't have insurance." He did. He needed surgery!!! Whoever runs this hospital shouldn't be qualified to. The staff isn't professional at all. They could risk the lives of others because of their incompetence.

Anjanette Dodd

Nice place

Jehiah Davis

Dont ever want to have to come back here again. They're pretty much, in the way instead of out. They all had attitudes and all refuse to listen. You get fired for having an attitudes and being rude to patients. Its ER's wait time is exactly 24hrs. For an emergency. Well the nurses run everything. Not even the drs have a say. All I remember were those nurses. All 10 of em. Then once they were done with me they handed me off to an even worse facility.

Michael Mandel

Nine hours in the ER waiting room plus over 2 more just to see a doctor for a serious health problem, 10 of 10 pain. Once I was seen, thw circus began. Rooms with no functioning call light, doctors that could not care less and know very little of actual medicine, outside boilerplate one size fits none solutions. Extremely poor communication, and a patient advocate that does not take phone calls. Do whatever you can to get yourself or a loved one to an actual hospital, like the real UCLA. I have no idea what to call a mess like Harbor, except a tragic farce.

jimmy hayes

How is this place still in operation? This is a medical facility there are rules and regulations for patient care! Waited for 5hrs only to keep being handed ibuprofin, never saw a doctor once, people are sitting and standing everywhere while staff are on Instagram behind computers! Homeless and drug addicts hang out in the lobby for HOURS harassing patients. This place needs to be investigated and shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hector trujillo

Aa for me the best

Tita Stallings

The pediatrics here is Outstanding the staff went above and beyond for my son simply one the best

Juan Ochoa

The most NASTY PLACE EVER, the clinicwas nasty, someone threw upon the floor and they left the towels and throw up on the floor and didn't bother cleaning it up, also they told me they wouldn'ttake my insurance after they say the would, got tothe clinicand they said they can't see because we don'ttake your insurance, they never called or said anything. They are no help, they wanted us to get they insurance... the place is nasty not clean and the staff is horrible.

Vaness Perez

WORST HOSPITAL!!!

ghani dickerson

Nurse and doc are very nice answer all tbe question you have

Dhrupad Joshi

Great county hospital for all. Everybody gets medical care w/o ability to pay. Level 1 trauma and all sub specialties are available. Since it's a teaching hospital patients will be seen by many doctors and team of physicians and hence decreasing any chance of errors. I would highly recommend this county facility.

Hi There

Terrible

Ady Challoob

I don't have any problem with the service, the only bad thing is the parking... always I stay driving and driving to find a parking

William Ortega

Our baby was born here. Extremely happy with most of the staff that helped us in this special day of our lives. From the doctors to the custodians, I couldn't be more grateful for their time, dedication, support and knowledge. Thank you all!!

Scott M

Always a pleasant experience here. Treated with dignity and respect

A g

I haven't been here in years. the er looks remodeled. but I don't want 2 wait 5 hours 2 see a doc. reviews here are bad. I went 6 years ago. I always got thru fast? you have to listen. because they have a triage system.

Jose Guzman

This place only cares about getting patients money. U come in n there quick to register you and give you your bill without even have done enything besides weight u and evaluate you(could have done that my self at home) then they send u bak to the waiting room with your bill in hand ..its been 5 hours and still waiting to be called ..im feeling better already with all this time that has passed, i wonder if i leave if i will still get billed, most likely, smh this place is a joke...never again

Jesse Anaya

Very respectful and polite. Took my wife and they checked us in ASAP.

Allan Gutierrez

People friendly hospital and the staff are helpful.

Kittle Phoenix

If I could rate lower than a 1 star review I would. I've spent over 7 hours in the waiting room after coming in due to a 10+ minute long seizure followed by several shorter seizures. As it stands now, in the last 30 minutes I've had 3 seizures and it will still be hours before I'm seen. This hospital is horrible. If I rest, which oh by the way is what you are supposed to do after a seizure, then I may miss my spot and have to wait all over again. This is the worst hospital I've ever been to in any part of the country.

Richard E. Gentry

Seems to be a well kept hospital with a reputable staff. The only drawback is parking and especially handicapped parking is nearly impossible to find.

1990h woop

This hospital is horrible had me waiting 14hours sitting from waiting room to waiting room ignoring me most the time its ridiculous theres never any beds or rooms just plain horrible worst experience ever!!!

Afua Kumasi

I went to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center at 5 am in the morning because I wasn't feeling well. I didn't want to wait a week to see my primary so I went to the emergency. They ran all the tests I needed pretty quick and I was told to go back to the waiting room and expect to see a doctor after 20-30 minutes. I was in the waiting room from about 5:30 am until 2 pm when I left without being seen. Yes I was waiting for 7 hours. I asked the front desk clerk twice to check my status in line. The first time she said I was second at the 6th hours of waiting and then she said I was 3rd at the seventh hour of waiting so I left. I didn't want to be there another 3 hours with 10 people ahead of me....you get what I'm saying. When you ask them for updates they are instructed to tell you as basic information or no information at all which makes it very frustrating because you are waiting blindly. When I left I felt sorry for all those people who had come in after me because I know they would be there 12 or more hours to see a doctor if ever seeing one at all. I think the whole process is a mess. By the way they had mosquitoes flying around the hospital and I was bitten twice on the back of my arm. We all know that mosquitoes transfer viruses and to have them flying around biting people who may have something viral is super scary. I think I am going to change my health care provider asap.

sibia Lopez

I do understand it's a county hospital!but patient's needs their privacy!my mom got diagnosed with Cancer and I had the opportunity to go with her to her appointment, and I saw how a rude a lady was telling my mom your appointment was 10mnts ago the she had cancelled her CT ABDOMEN/PELVIS! Scan And to reschedule her appointment!but she was not speaking she was yelling and others patients were listening I asked her where was my mom privacy?she stayed quiet!another patient went inside same thing she was yelling to the patient and making faces to her. So inproffecional, which I could of heard all the patients business..

Jose Alfredo Mendoza

“Great Nurses and drs.

lydia shors

I was referred to Harbor UCLA by Kaiser Perm. For a MRI spine on Aug. 20 at 2:45. I was taken to a waiting room and told to put on a hospital gown and wait for the attendant to return. I waited 45 min. And no one returned. I went out into the hall and saw no one. I knicked in several doors until I found the technician for the MRI machine. The tecnician said the machine was broken and he thought he could fix it in about 10 min . He said I was next. I waited 20 min more (now 4:00) and went back to talk to the technician. He was redoing the test of the patient scheduled before me (the 2:15 patient). Finally at 4:15 he said he was ready for me. He rushed me into the treatment room. And said he would only need 15 min to do the MRI. The machine was very old the tube was tiney and showed signs of wear. He said that it would be noisy and close. He put ear plugs in my ears and gave me an emergency button. I lasted about 60 seconds in the tube before I had a panic attack from all the previous stress and the fear that the machine was defective. I left and went home shaking. The girl who spent 2 hrs. In the treatment room left crying. Do not ever go to Harbor Ucla. I never did see the person who put me in the MRI waiting room again. When I left at 4:30 there was one person at the desk in the lobby.

TheTelefunke

Employee are very concern about your health, good customer service

Cathy Linson Taylor

If you ever need to call there for information, don't bother! They don't answer the phone!

Luz Reyes

My mother was brought in through the emergency room by ambulance. They assisted my mother right away. They examined her, did testing, etc., and provide great care. She was admitted that evening and her room and bed where provided. For the majority part the staff is really friendly and caring. Nurse Wendy from the emergency room was outstanding. Kuddos to her for her excellent service.

Juan Preciado

My experience with this office is they never anwer the fhone's . I my self had to drive all the the way over for a ?

Virginia Killebrew

Today I believe they're celebrating safety Awareness Day showing demonstrations aiding an emergency care you don't have to be a professional it's so you can help someone and needs

Ginny Krone

After reading the reviews , I was leery to go to Urgent Care. Possibly some of these reviews are for the emergency room though as the Urgent Care clinics hours are 7:30 am to 9 pm, so it would not be possible to be waiting for care for a full 24 hours as per some of the reviews I read. I felt the wait time was reasonable although I purposly did not go in during peak hours. I did have to wait a bit for the discharge papers, but it wasn't crazy. All of the staff were very friendly and respectful

Don Julio

Such a great hospital. Yes the wait is long it's a County facility! Excellent Dr and nurses

Morgan Craig

They psych department treats patients inhumanely and withholds life sustaining medication from patients. Be your loved ones advocate if they are ever held at Exodus.

Jocelyn Hernandez

TOOK OVER 10 HOURS TO DISCHARGE... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE THERES MANY OTHER GREAT HOSPITALS AROUND.

Oscar Rayo

Excellent Service, very caring staff!!

Goodly Player

Very clean facility, caring, friendly and knowledgeable staff

Rosie Arreguin

Emergency service is having to wait all day! I went in with a broken knee I checked into front desk service, the employees there are rude, unfriendly, unprofessional, unhelpful. I got here around 9 am for Emergency I was in very much pain needed asap service. After a few hours if waiting I had to go and ask what's going on am I next? How many people are before me, please help I'm in pain! All the girl said was I will give a note to your doctor and let knew know you are in pain. Around 3 pm they called me in what an Emergency service that is. I would definitely do not recommend this hospital not even to my worse enemy.

efren martinez

Good hospital if you don't have insurance

Kalindi Chow

Saw a doctor earlier at a clinic and was told might have apendicitis or cysts in my ovaries to go to an ER. Came in around 7pm, shared my symptoms pain was about an 8. It’s almost 6am I’ve been given two rounds of norco and still haven’t seen a doctor, nor do I know what’s wrong with me. I don’t really feel like they’re taking my pain serious. They could have just sent me home and told me to come back when the doctor was ready to see me instead of having me wait in the waiting area for hours uncomfortably. Met a lady who had cancer and she had been waiting since 2pm. I just don’t get it.

Cesar Murillo

Excellent Service.

Shairi Wells

This hospital not right tell lie about patient met doctors back 2012 in harbor ucla tell me and mom wrong information about us nobody what list to me about crazy doctor never go to this hospital never in life again

D S

Very Long ER waits norm but good care, especially ir only Medical or no insurance

Karen Picado

onces you enter the hospital it scared me but when you go the six floor its not scared

John Lucatero

One of the worst hospitals to go to I spent 12 hours here waiting to see a Dr. And of course when I finally did get to see one the only thing he could tell me was to follow up with my primary Dr and sent me on my way stay away from this place Idk how they stay open. They should really conduct some sort of inspection or something to better treat the patients.
