Some are rude and bad. Please, like if you found this correct as I found it too.

I was born here in 1967. This is a great hospital .

Just had surgery and 2 day stay at El Camino Hospital. The staff and service are all top notch and very professional. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The nursing team was so dedicated to ensuring that my stay was warm and pleasant. Totally didn't even mind them waking me up at night to get vitals cause they brought such a smile to my face. This is my 2nd time staying here and I'm still blown away by how awesome they are. Definitely try to get your operations and stays here. You won't regret it.

Dr T and his team assisted by nurse Victoria are brilliant at their jobs! I arrived late on the 28th of August, with obstruction in my esophagus, which they removed in quick order! All care team members are professionals who enjoy their work! Thank you for the solution and final comfort! Fantastic group of people! Organized and clean facility too! Again thank you!! Francie

Six years ago I walked into the ER complaining of shortness of breath and left arm discomfort. I woke up 3 weeks later with a quad bypass (and some really crazy dreams). The doctors, nurses and surgeons had literally pulled me back from death's doorstep more than once during that 3 weeks. My cardiologist, one of the best in the Bay area, recently told me that over 25 years, he had only had 10 or 12 patients who survived what I survived. Thank you everyone at ECH!

Choose my twin baby to be transferred to this STUPID hospital was my worst choice!!! They don’t even have surgery room for my baby b. So it took my baby’s life because they can’t do the surgery and my baby need it immediately!!! Well I would say if you want someone you love to be dead there, go ahead and you will be regret of the decision in the rest of your life!!!!!!

Horrible staff my 2 year old kid got hurt and bleeding near the eyes, we are still waiting for more than three and a half hours. The guys in the front desk was very mean when asked about how long it will take. Will never come here again, no concern for patients care.

Be careful, you will receive a second bill for anesthesia without being told about it... Even when I asked "so this is the total cost out the door?" and was told yes. Then a month later came a bill for $4k for anesthesia for a 2 hour surgery. Transparent much?

What a terrific hospital Every staff member was professional, kind and explained the plan of care The ER doc, my two RNs the triage staff and even my transport person, Felix I wish I could remember all their names Great staff Nice community hospital

Pathetic hospital. 2nd visit both during emergencies on weekends. Takes 30 minutes to checkin another 30 minutes to call for triage another 45 minutes to verify insurance info. 30 minutes for vitals. Then 2 freakin hours for the doctor to show up. All for a 4 month infant who hurt her eyes. Heights of inefficiency. I see doctors walking around but cannot be efficient to see people on time.

Please be careful while stepping into this hospital under any emergency services. Let me share my experience with ElCamino Mountainview hospital in Sep-2018. On Sep24-2018 my son aged 3 years and 5 months, he put pencil in his right nose by mistake. So I rushed to Emergency care in ElCamino hospital Mountainview at around 5:20PM on same day which is Sep24-2018. Later after 15-20 mins one lady doctor came for examination and she examined and collected all of the case details from me which took 15-20 mins. Then she went out from the room and did not return for next 40 minutes. Then after 10 minutes the same lady doctor returned room with an assistance. She tried to pull the object(pencil piece) from nose and she could not able to do so as she scared. Then she gave up and suggested me to wait until next day. Still the pencil piece is stuck in nose and she suggested can you wait until. I was so panic and could not wait any longer as if it goes a little bit inside it may block his air pipe and was a life threat. If I can wait until net day then why should I come to emergency care and more over the pencil is still stuck in nose. Then I told her, I cant' risk my son's life and asked I would like visit any other doctor as she was not even trying for any possible solution.Doctor who attened my Son's case did not even took second opinion. She did not even bother the seriousness...she did not even tried/checked. I was not ready for my son's life and was very panic. Then she suggested me SantaClaraValley hospital, San Jose and we rushed there in the same evening. There they pulled the pencil with in ~10 mins. I raised a complaint NA-18-607702-1 , but no use later. I followed up with ElCamino grievance department multiple times but no use. Finally I paid the bill amount. Finally, ElCamino is more concerned about money rather service. I am not at all happy with the service and response to my complaint....sorry. I recommend not to rush into ElCamino as a first step. This is my personal opinion and you may or may not consider. Thanks Bayyanna Pandala

my mom was having surgery there last year. They put the wrong address on the profile so we never receive any bill until someone calls me over and over again. I told them the correct address and paid for that bill. One year later, I received another call with the same wrong address, and have been told we have another two bills need to pay even though the doctor told us our insurance is fully covered.

This hospital commits criminal levels of billing. When I say that, I do not say it lightly, as I have parents in the medical field and am in the medical field myself. I wanted to attach a screenshot to this review to really demonstrate how the hospital operates. I recently received a bill from an emergency room visit that itemized the costs. Unbeknownst to me, the hospital decided to administer a pregnancy test—literally just because I am a woman. There was NO a need to do so, as it didn’t relate to my condition in any way at all, nor would’ve interfered with the TOPICAL medicine they gave me (nothing intravenous at all). At pharmacies, pregnancy tests are what, $5-$10 USD. El Camino hospital billed a URINE PREGNANCY TEST at $360.87 USD, something that insurance doesn’t usually cover. I have a screen shot and copy of the bill myself. This is a gross offense both to women in general, as well as people who cannot afford healthcare in the US. We will be fighting this charge until the end. EDIT: This is the response we have gotten so far from the hospital: "You signed the conditions of admission upon arriving in the Emergency Room consenting to treatment which would include any tests ordered by the physician during the course of your treatment in the emergency room." They are literally saying you sign away your rights even as a coherent, extremely medically stable patient with a SKIN CONDITION when you enter the ER. Though you may DECLINE CONSENT to a pregnancy test, it is still at their discretion to give you one and make you pay for it. Will keep this updated and am writing an article for the paper about it.

At the ER. We did have a long wait but everyone is so NICE. It really helps!

It's a great hospital. It's clean and nice. I'm giving it a 2 star because people here are just really obnoxious. I'm sending three women to the hospital with one almost due and one just had C-sec. It just takes them maybe ONE darn minute more to crawl out my van. The cars just can't wait for it. And yes we are in the dropping zone not on the road. Honking and stuff as if we are not on a tight timing. I parked my car on the other side and saw a jogging granny. The car came outta the gym parking lot was waiting on the traffic and this granny got pissed because the car was half blocking the ped. She kept posting this I can't deal with it posture and with some other car honking each other. Weird ass place with weird people.

In response to a video of an ER Physician, Dr. Beth Renee Keegstra, being extremely abusive and dismissive toward a young man who had been witnessed having what appeared to be a seizure by his father. At the time of the seizure, the young man’s father called an ambulance. Upon their arrival, ambulance personnel found the patient unresponsive and immediately transported him to the facility. In the video, Dr. Keegstra can be heard saying the patient “doesn’t have his Klonopin” before demeaning him at length, demanding he stand up, claiming he is “the healthiest patient here” and physically becoming aggressive with him. If in fact, the patient had been a regular Klonopin user who had not had access, for whatever reason, to his usual medication, there is a very good likelihood he may have been in Benzodiazepine Withdrawal. Withdrawal from Benzodiazepine medications can be lethal and present a high likelihood of seizures and other symptoms the patient was experiencing. It is indeed a medical emergency if seizure symptoms are present, and any health care provider worth their salt knows that. Furthermore, I understand that after the incident was filmed, the young man’s blood work cane back with a very low potassium level. This condition can also cause many of the symptoms the patient self reported. Dr. Keegsta’s response and behavior was not only poor bedside manner. It was extremely poor medical practice and could have led to the death of this young man. Is it common practice of El Camino Hospital to disrespect and fail to adequately treat patients, particularly Patients of Color? If it is not, Dr. Keegstra’s behavior and lack of medical ethics must be reviewed and dealt with at once.

The pro forma replies to the various heartfelt bad patient experiences suggest an impersonal cookie-cutter approach to patient care.

Was in ER at El Camino two times in two days with my mother. Between the lack of interest to help my mother and the snotty, rude nurses there (younger blonde one especially) I think an official smack upside the head would have been in order. My mother has since been on life support and I WOULD NOT TRUST THESE UNDERACHIEVERS WITH ANYONE. First time they put my other out in the hall because they did not have any rooms available but as I walked the halls there were many rooms empty. I understand they need staff to cover those rooms but don't understand why they are so short on staff. If you are going to choose, go to Valley Medical, Stanford, Kaiser, etc but don't come here.

Both my husband and myself have been patients there and it is a great hospital, modern clean and attractive. Staff are great and we had a very positive experience.

All the health care professionals at this hospital (and I bet all hospitals around the country) meaning RN and MD needs to be retrained or perhaps be replaced by those who fully understands what it means to be an RN/MD. Those RN/MD we witnessed at this hospital (and again I bet other hospitals have selfish RN/MD) were there because of them caring for their licenses and collecting money only. They do not care taking care of patients.

Adam

Best hospital if you are suicidal or don't care for your well being. An hour wait in empty waiting room with dehydrated infant with 104 fever. Asked same questions a bazillion times. 2 hours later, still no fluids or dr., not to mention tylenol. The triage nurse with tattoos is a burnt out version of cruella deville. This place needs to be shut down. I have pictures of other patients detailed info which is an obvious violation of hippa. America deserves better, we should be able to take care of our children.

I need to go to the emergency room

Had my baby here since it is supposed to be the best but im almost considering speaking with a lawyer about my experience here. When we first showed up the doctors were a mess telling me I didn’t go to admissions and provide my information prior to coming but i told them i did a week ago i went down stairs and spoke and signed papers with the lady down there. They made me feel like i was in trouble. Im the type of person where i dont always speak up for myself or am quiet so i feel like i was completely taken advantage of as far as treatment when my husband was not there and he is the opposite. After i got out of surgery from emergency c section i went to a room with a few nurses and another lady came in a minute later asked how i was feeling and i said im doing ok and 1 nurse that was on my right side said” oh you speak English “ i just looked at her and no one said anything to her about that comment. I was half awake from just getting out of surgery. But i heard that clear and gave her a look. I assume she judged me by my skin color and thought i didnt speak English. Second, i was given papers in spanish, i told the nurse i cant read spanish and my husband and i only speak English ( we had to say this more than once)again judging us since im super tan or because our last name. Third one doctor came in while i was extreme pain crying but being quiet about the pain during my whole stay . She was asking if I needed more medicine but looked at me like she was irritated and annoyed by me. Her face was clear as day. Forth when we first came in and i got a bed the nurse that it was a bright idea to disclose EXTREMELY PERSONAL INFORMATION in front of my little sister who is a kid and of course my sister asked me about it what the nurse said. The nurse should have asked for her to step out for a minute. Then AGAIN two days later a doctor did the same thing in front of my grandma like seriously. Does no one ask for others to step out... i will never return to this hospital. I was admitted to the hospital on july 25th around 11pm baby was born 26th at 10:26 and stayed at the hospital for 3 days.

All the nurses from night shift are very unprofessional Service on this hospital is nowhere near to three stars

I have cripplinh anxiety that is exacerbated in hospital settings. I was dealing with extreme abdominal pain and anxiety that induced hyperventilating and self harm. When I asked Dr. Ramberger if I could have a second dose of Ativan and pain meds, she immediately labeled me as some druggie. As someone who suffers with mental health, I am terrified of psych wards, she threatened to send me to one after I expressed thoughts of self harm. I said I would not go to the psych ward but just wanted Ativan to calm down enough to be safe and go home. so she told me I was manipulating her. While I’m hyperventilating in terrible pain all monitors on and she tells me I’m just manipulative. I’ve already been judged enough but now a doctor actually calls me manipulative while I’m in a crisis? I was appalled and because I did not get the treatment I begged for to calm down I did participate in activities I was scared may happen with out the ability to be helped by my doctor. I am very much considering filing an official complaint possibly through the law. El Camino Hospital and Dr. Ramberger put my mental health in such jeopardy it could have been an act that wouldn’t have been reversible: the PTSD from the moment alone haunts me. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

You should be aware of a few things before having surgery here. 1) NO visitors are allowed in the recovery room, no exceptions. 2) Plan to be in a LOT of pain post op, as pain is not talked about unless asked about (pain is the 5th vital sign). Patients have a right to pain medication and it should be obvious by non-verbal indicators if the patient cannot speak up for themselves. 3) They don't staff their units with *just* RNs, they have LVNs which will come to your aid but can't push any IV medications, so when you haven't been treated for pain for 3 hours post op and you arrive to their unit, good luck getting someone to give you IV meds quickly. As a RN (I have worked in the ICU, telemetry, OR, recovery room & L&D) I cannot believe the lack of attention around pain my husband received from the nursing staff. I am furious with the state I found him in, abandoned in his med-surg room. We will never come back here. ***Here is my experience in more detail if you want more of an explanation:*** We came in for a routine right hemi-thyroidectomy. The doctor was great, and said the recovery should take an hour, the surgery and recovery was deemed "easy-peasy". I was never made aware that I would not be able to enter the recovery room to see my husband, so that was a big disappointment to me, as a nurse & as my husband's advocate while he is drowsy and not with it from anesthesia. In every single hospital I have either worked in or visited for other surgeries, you are always allowed one person back there with you -- so why? Is it so you can deprive your patients of post-op pain medication have better scores for pain management? This is unheard of. I was continuously checking in & at hour 1, was told his room wasn't ready. Hour 2, still not ready...annoying but I understand. Hour 2 1/2, I was told he already went to his room and was NEVER notified. I found his room, and upon entering he was hot, sweaty, grimacing and he couldn't speak because his pain was so bad. He had pulled his gown off of himself and it was bunched around his groin, whispering that he had to pee but that the pain was too bad. I WOULD NEVER LEAVE A PATIENT LOOKING LIKE THIS. If I hadn't walked in, how long would he have been alone, in excruciating pain? We called for the RN and were greeted by an LVN. She took vital signs and my husband's blood pressure was through the roof (160s/90s). They knew he has hypertension and is on meds for this. I am baffled and I can't believe what is going on. He is a high risk for a stroke! I asked the nurse if he had received any pain medication post-op, and find he was NEVER medicated post-op. WOW. He visually looks like he is in incredible pain, can't move, can't pee and nobody asked him about his pain? Nobody saw sky high blood pressures in the recovery room? A man that could barely talk, diaphoretic, red and grimacing? The LVN is not blaming the high BP on his "full bladder". You can't fool me, it is through the roof because of PAIN, and as I explained this she tried to talk us into an oral pain med, which takes at least 30 mins to work. We asked for IV medication. She can't push it with her license. We waited another 10 minutes in agony for an RN to arrive that could push the one dose of morphine ordered. It brought it down a smidge but because it had been 3 hours post-op at this point it didn't do much. When asked for additional IV meds the nurse said they only had an order for one dose. I could tell they really didn't want to call the MD for another order. He was never treated with additional IV medication and when I questioned the RN about the entire situation she informed me on how the hospital doesn't like to address pain unless the patient speaks about it. HOW IS THAT? So you can't visually look at my husband, see the high BP and put two and two together so he doesn't have a stroke here too? I am left baffled, angry, and disappointed at my own profession. If he had been treated properly post-op with adequate pain medication his entire recovery would have been different.

I saw the vid online abt the women antagonizing the patient

I writing to say my thank you to the Emergency room specialist for their professionalism, empathy and care about patients. I came to ER with food poisoned and they did my tests very fast, explained me everything, gave me not only receipt but also instructions how to take care of my health - in English and in my native language! They were very kind and attentive to everyone who was seated with me in the ER yesterday. Thank you so much for your hard work!

Joey Weitz

Absolutely rethink your decision if you’re about to have a baby here. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and follow through on commitments is abysmal. Nothing like almost to having your baby delivered onto the floor and a nurse thinking that your wife is not in labor yet, yet having contractions consistently for a couple of hours. I can’t say enough about how disappointing our last child’s birth experience was here. After you have the child they seem to care for a bit but soon after shove you off and basically say sorry, not sorry. Promises were made by senior level managers to offer post natal care, billing concerns, along with many other accommodations. After playing ball for several months with their department leadership, we are just forgotten about and disregarded like nothing bad ever happened. They are lucky that I was paying attention during the delivery of my son and that I noticed she was about to give birth, because the professionals in and out of the room didn’t care at all or were too incompetent to perform the basic duties of a delivery nurse. Again, this place has gone severely downhill over the last few years and I can’t recommend enough that you look elsewhere. ***update 8/19: They decided to send us to collections even though the original plan was to not have any charges. What’s that oath...? Do no harm? These guys are just horrible. Recommend anywhere but here.

Never go to this hospital. I was admitted by ambulance into the hospital because my foot and lower leg was ice cold. The doctor decided to order an ultrasound instead of the MRI that the doctor who sent me there ordered. The ultrasound couldn’t be completed because it hurt too much and the technician said that I would need to do an MRI. The ER doctor decided that “everything was fine” despite the fact the test was not finished. I began arguing with her at which point she decided to tell me that “MRI’s are expensive” again despite the fact there were two insurances listed. In the end, she ended up doing an MRI after I said I wanted to speak to the director and after finishing the MRI, she said again everything was fine, which I ended up finding out a year and a half later during a third party evaluation that I had a fracture and torn ligament which she read as fine. This hospital should close down because they’re obviously not operating to help people. But they had no problem billing me for this horrible service.

Brianna Pizana

Worst experience ever. I went in after a car accident. They took a whole day to take me back. They literally lost me when I was sitting in a room they placed me in. I heard some one run by saying “have you see Brianna, no one can find her”. Then when I called to give them a claim number they refused to take it and refused to give me any help with it.

Danny Gorman

The ER can get a bit crowded, especially at night, but the staff are friendly and helpful regardless of your reason to visit. They have 4 steps/stations that do help to fill the time while you wait. We were in and out over 3 hours, while not ideal, was decent for the number of people.

Maryam Alizadeh

Waited for over 3.5 hours to be seen. Put me at level 4 and kept saying I am next. Meanwhile, people with headaches or simple coughs kept walking in and being placed at level 3, so about 40 people got to go ahead of me. SUCKS. Who the hell determines what level you are? Stupid. However, I must admit though that once called, nurse and PA and doctor were really awesome. .

Jania January

In addition to the fact that a nurse died of a heart attack here, this hospital is just awful. The first time I visited for a deep cough it turned into a bladder removal procedure which was entirely unnecessary. When I asked the doctor why he removed my bladder, he left the room and I never saw him again. My second visit, a man shot at me in the parking lot and a bullet grazed my shoulder. Though a doctor was right inside the hospital, they refused to treat me, putting a 'closed' sign at the front door. I went to the Santa Clara Hospital the next time.

Mrs. Fairfax

Heard about the vulgar and verbally abusive white physician they have working here on ABC News. I would never walk into a hospital if I knew I'd be met with that treatment in my time of medical need. Thanks for spreading the word, ABC News!

My boy was born there on April. We had best doctor ,nurses and team. Thank you ECH. J.Huang is the best nurse. She even came down to say good bye to us and my boy. Thank you again with our whole heart ECH.

In March, 2018, I had a C-section performed for the delivery of my baby with Dr. Cary Hill in El Camino Hospital. One day after the c-section, a huge tissue came out of me. A few hours later, another huge tissue came out of me and dropped into the toilet. I experienced heavy bleeding and psychological trauma. I was sent to the Radiology department for an ultrasound. The obstetrician on duty (Dr. Karen White) ordered it to check if my uterus is empty now. When I got there, the technician said the obstetrician ordered the abdominal test which didn't include assessment of the uterus. She said she could only do what the doctor ordered so I was sent back after the abdominal test finished. We asked Dr. Karen White who ordered the abdominal test to explain but she refused to show up or talk to us. Only the nurse came and told us the doctor ordered the wrong test and would order the correct one. On the afternoon, I was sent to the Radiology department again. This time the technician drew a sharp intake of breath when she saw my surgical wound and said she couldn't do the ultrasound over the incision. She called her manager and asked another technician came in to witness when she explained it. So I had to be pushed back again. I was sent back and on the verge of collapse--I was very weak after the surgery and heavy bleeding, scared about the accidents, worried about my baby, pulled out of bed twice a day but didn't even get the correct ultrasound test. The journey between my room and the Radiology department was torture. It was very cold on the way and there are many bumps. Every time the wheelchair is over a bump, my wound feels very very painful. After a few days, when Dr. Hill finally showed up, he was very cold and indifferent, only interested in shifting responsibilities. He told me it was "normal." I asked him for more details regarding the membrane tissues left inside my uterus. He was very impatient and kept saying things like "I have already told you that..." He didn't have any patience to people whose native language is not English, and doesn't want to take time to explain things clearly to patients. I have reported this to El Camino Hospital, but they said it is only related to the doctor and has nothing to do with the hospital.

Mike Brady

Super disappointed with my experience here. The doctors and nurses were fine, but the facilities are sub-par and expenses are insanely terrible. $5k invoice for 1 hour of IV and to be told to drink clear liquids while sitting in a cold, loud room. I live down the street and won't be back for any reason.

This place takes 3-5 hours to attend people even if you are really sick.I do not recommend going here at all

I came in with a sprained ankle and wanted an xray because it hurt a lot. They told me my insurance had me fully covered, but ended up billing me 1176.00$ after the fact. Thank you El Camino Hospital.

Good but not best

We been here since 10pm and now its 230am. No one cares. I am bleeding they gave towel that is it and said to wait. I could have done that at home. I never seen such hospital in my life. Luckily we dont live close to this hospital. One in Tracy is great. At least someone seats ppl and makes sure urgent first. Here such a careless people. Dr. Late. We are still waiting while bleeding from head. If its emergency DO NOT COME HERE. Better off drive a little bit far.

baba Gee

one crapy hospital, I will never go to it. They have so many problems with their equipment and staff. Actually I want to call this hospital a junkyard.

Alex

Look it's cheaper and faster to fly out to Canada for care. By the time you arrive to Canada they will finally see you here.

Came to the hospital with my mom after her falling and either fracturing or dislocated arm an had hit her face been waiting for three to four hours while looking for her nurse to be able to get her pain medication I talked to another nurse (young blonde) was very rude an short with me I get your not her nurse but she didn’t have to be rude with me and me being me I haven’t said anything due to not wanting to be removed from the hospital an leave my mom alone the main doctor was rude an stuck up seeming not to even care of the situation they say she hasn’t gotten her CT or X-ray since it’s so busy but mind you this hospital is usually pack an it is dead at this time which made me think my mom would be seen faster but that hasn’t been the case. I should have just taken my mom to valley from now on we will be going to valley since el Camino doesn’t seem to care or have the time to take care of their patients

I was a patient at El Camino Hospital's ER 2/13/19 and must say that my experience (from registration thru discharge) was excellent, in fact the best I've experienced - other than that at Houston Methodist in Houston, TX (unfortunately for me, I am an experienced ER and extended stay hospital patient). The staff I encountered listened and explained, were professional, caring, courteous, and friendly. I think we all can agree that no one really wants to go to an ER, however if I needed to go again, I'd have no hesitation based solely on today's ER experience. I am glad your Saturday team was there. Kudos and thanks to all for helping me today!

Criminal Billing Department! I came into the ER with a dislocation. I waited for hours in the waiting room while in pain. I finally did get an X-ray and a temporary splint and sent on my way to see a specialist. Nothing was done, and I never seen or spoke to a doctor. The bill arrives and now I’m $3000 out of pocket AFTER insurance. You are kidding me right? The itemized bill is ridiculous. I was charged $2600 for Level 2 service (use of facility). The level of service is apparently on a scale of 1 to 5 with each level increasing in price. So if getting NO TREATMENT is level 2 service I don’t even want to know what level 1 or level 5 is. I don’t think this hospital cares about it’s patients and only cares about being profitable. Take a look at their “Chargemaster” online which entails their pricing for all services. You’ll notice all the pricing is crazy crazy high on everything, on purpose. A replacement Stainless steel screw for example for the hospital beds over $14,000.00. At the hardware store $0.40. When I spoke to the billing rep at the hospital she told me they set the prices to be competitive with other hospitals. So what she is saying is the entire healthcare system is criminal? Ahh yes that makes much more sense. I WILL AVOID THIS CRIMINAL HOSPITAL FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE AND I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME!

Dan

I saw the video online and I can't believe they would hire someone like her and it seems like this isnt the first time this hospital has treated patients this way ..very sad! ya'll need to really manage your hiring process

Probably the worst phone operator out there. Has no idea what she is doing.

These nurses are truely soldiers of God. They take utmost care of you and each and every nurse is too good... They attend you immediately and attend to all your requests. Best hospital . People are very very and very good here. Right from emergency care, all the doctors helped me greatly and addressed my issues. The doctors were good.. I The nurses I had were best of best. There was only one lady who scanned me (/ultrasound) was a bit rude but I think it's ok as long as she has done her duty. Overall the hospital is best place and we will be in safe hands .

Mark Snell

This is a hard one to rate, on one hand the nurses before and after the procedure were awesome! Some of the best nursing care that I have seen in this area. However the procedure itself was a nightmare from hell. The medicated me late, as I never went out during the Angiogram, They put like 20 lbs of blankets on me then had my wrist tied down. I am claustophobic and told them this 4 times as I was sweating like crazy and couldn't move it was not until the 5th time I said anything, and only then they responded as I told them I was going to vomit. Most horrible and god awful procedure ever. I will not name the doctor, he knows who he is and his staff in the O.R. were not very professional. Nor did the doctor even bother to come see me after the procedure. He very briefly even spoke to my wife in the waiting room. So bottom line, nursing staff is awesome. Pick your doctors carefully.

Excellent staff with excellent service. I had my baby here and there is not one thing about the hospital that I wasn't comfortable with.

The best hospital in Silicon Valley.

Naman Bapna

The best hospital of Silicon Valley. My sister was born here. The staff and doctors were always very kind and caring.

After watching the video online I am very glad this was brought to light. It is near impossible that this is the first time something like this has happened. I wonder how many complaints were filed against this same doctor and resulted in no consequences! I noticed not a single review was responded to before this incident which shows how poorly management is doing.

I should have given -5 stars if I could. Worst service ever. I had a fever of 105 and we went to ER of this hospital at 4:30 am. They took blood test from me and Dr. came and tried to check me up but he did not even check me up correctly and completely. I was almost dead and they told us it takes withing an hour to give you results. Finally, it took more than 6 hour to give us the results. Then the nurse came to us and told us you are good nothing is wrong in you blood .... the Dr. did not even took responsibility to come to talk to me again. It was funny because I had 105 fever and they said I was OK. Ridiculous. Then I questioned them that they do not know anything check my long by Xray or something. they said OK it is very quick. It took us another 2 hours and after 2 hours a nurse came to us and told us I have pneumonia. They did not even diagnose that how can you call it a hospital. Then they gave me wrong antibiotic and my fever did not go away and I had to go to my own Dr. and he changed the antibiotic to the right one and I got healed in 2-3 days. The funny thing is that they charged me and my insurance almost $14000 for no service. Very very disappointed. I can even sue the doctor easily because he did not diagnose my dangerous infection in the first place and secondly he gave me wrong antibiotic. Very very disappointed and I recommend not to go to this hospital. They only think about charging huge numbers for even small things and they do not care about your health. Please save your life and your health and go to another center.

Slow and unprofessional ER team.

If this hospital can allow someone like "doctor" keegstra anywhere near a patient then it doesnt deserve your trust! Disgusting and racists!

Great hospital if you want to die while waiting 6+ hours in the emergency room to be seen by a doctor for 2 minutes. Complete lack of transparency and accountability -- no one working there has any idea what the wait time will be (or they just don't want to tell you). The doctors are great, but whoever is running the emergency room operations is a moron.

I was met with major car accident. I been El Camino Hospital ER. I found no one in reception. eventually security called someone from inside. After initial triage I was called for registration inside and then made me wait in waiting area. Then taken for CT scan and once again taken to waiting area. When I asked why I'm taken back to waiting area then said there is no room available. I was already in shock from accident and frustrated due to hospital's treatment to me like this I asked staff to take me out he literally obliged and took me out side of ER door and I left from hospital. Now I received bill of $ 10,541.26 for which hospital got paid $6,734.81. After El Camino hospital I been to another hospital who treated me well including same CT scan which El Camino hospital did. They got paid $1,794.00. I'm not able to understand how come El Camino hospital charged me so much for not treating ?? I decided never enter this hospital rest of my life. I was scheduled for spinal surgery here on 4-9-18. I am new to the area and was not familiar with the hospital and was nervous to say the least. In the end, I had as good an experience as one can have after going thru major surgery. I was on 4th floor for recovery. The layout of the rooms and hallways make it quiet and spacious , the entire staff at every level from check in , to prep nurses, OR, Therapy, dining to housekeeping and the care given were all first rate, even the food was tasty. I was very impressed with this hospital. Unfortunately I have experienced surgery and recovery in the past at other hospitals and have experienced very different levels of care . I literally had no complaints at any level with El Camino and I was treated well by everyone I dealt with. If you must be hospitalized, I can recommend this hospital. All of my nurses were great, especially Michelle at nights. She was very patient and kind.

In October 2017 my wife, Jenny, suffered a severe stroke and was rushed to El Camino Hospital for brain surgery. We are happy to report that after a period of recovery, she is on her way to a meaningful recovery. The family wishes to express its gratitude to the great medical staff at El Camino for saving her. Of note are Dr. Onibokun, surgeon for his skill, Dr. Jindal, Neurologist for her early and accurate prognosis, Daniel, RN for his diligent care and all others involved. Andrew Barnes, Husband
