After waiting 3 weeks for this appointment, we were told to come inn earlier for an MRI, appointment was at 1pm and we are sitting now it is 4 pm all I hear is busy, we don't know when we will go for MRI, they were pretty accurate asking for $500 co pay, and now wait and wait and wait, if you have a choice go elsewhere

My family came in because my grandpa had a case of hematuria and pain while urination. The triage nurse, Kristin, blonde short hair, was SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. She made my family feel stupid and unwelcome. I am a nurse as well, I know the stress but you NEVER make a family member or the patient feel dumb. Ever.

Cynthia Juarez

I went in at 2 in the afternoon they told me I was going to get some blood drawn and put me in a room to Waite for a nurse,I was in that room for 3 hours before someone came to move me into a different room waited another 2 hours before someone took my blood, doctor came in and touched my chest (for my chest pains) he said I was hyperventilating and sent me home. I went home with so much pain I tried a different hospital turns out I was going into cardiac arrest this hospital needs to be shut down it's dirty, the staff is very rude, and the hospital is really dirty!!

I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this place. I came to Emergency 3 days ago suffering from an allergic reaction to some food I'd eaten the night before and was totally ignored.I came in about 5 am and there was only 1 person in front of me and as soon as they looked at me the ladies at the front desk said have a seat. I was having a hard time breathing and was trying to let them know this and instead of listening to me she looked me right in my eyes and walked to the back of the office and never said another word to me. I had to ask the other patient that was in front of me where was another hospital and he directed me to Long Beach Memorial Hospital who took me in right away. I'm not sure why I was treated this way but I personally will never go back and recommend anyone else to go L.B.M.H Instead! Sincerely Joel Childress

Cris Saldana

Tony Lopez

Gabriela Vasquez

Love it!!

Norrine Burke

Insanely unprofessional! A NURSE came in after waiting almost 5 hours to see a doctor to tell us we were being discharged, and blurted out our diagnosis. We refused to leave until we spoke to the Dr, who magically came in seconds later, only to confirm what the nurse had accidentally told us and advised us to get surgical treatment elsewhere. After writing this, I realize they did us a favor! Drive farther, folks, if you want better healthcare!

Ivory Mccullouch

This hospital is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. They don’t care for there patients or the babies. Don’t ever go here, if I could put zero stars I would.

Internet explorer user

Pretty clean and friendly people but they literally took 6 hours just to call me. I was the only one and I came first. More people came late and they started to call them instead of me. Told the lady what time will they call me, she said in a couple of minutes, but it was actually hours. Not coming here again.

One Nation Great

This is not an equal opportunity environment at all. Nurse Practitioner Angela needs to be fired, PERIOD!!!! It is apparent California has a major race issue against black people when entering particular communities!!!!! Several weeks ago I reported nurse named Angela at the Saint Mary's hospital for her inappropriate behavior and negligence during my stay at hospital. She not only was rude to myself but as well my children. Angela forced myself and children out of hospital building at 2am in the morning in Long Beach California because I told her she do not understand the human heart. Her actions were biased and hateful. As a result of calling local law enforcement on Angela for such actions, myself and children were refused medical service at Reddys urgent care in Long Beach today. Myself and children waited in the waiting room for 3 hours finally being triaged in the back to be told we cannot be seen due to a incident that occurred St Marys Hospital with Angela. The nurse refused to treat my children due to recent complaints. Not only did she she refused to service my children she also created a negative behavior in her coworkers who were completely nice for the first 3 hours but then there was a complete game changer once they told us to go into the room.we waited for 30 minutes going live on instagram just goofing off in the room and then Victoria from Reddys Urgent care came in the room very angry and told all of us to leave or she will be forced to call other alternatives. For full video login on Facebook and follow: Indigenous Movement @OneNationGreat for live streaming at 11pm pacific time. I need you all to judge this one. I am happy my kids are so in tune with making goofy videos because if it had not been for that I would have never captured this. This is total discrimination!!!!! And this was apparently with intent by staff to purposely inconvenient myself and children. We were referred to this urgent care by 1333 Chester in Long Beach we spoke to Yervand A. Mr. Yervand A. Was extremely helpful with calling clinic's and urgent cares nearby due to a over capacity at his facility Mr Yervand A. said he didnt want my children to wait all day so he called many places and one being Reddy Urgent Care. He called them and spoke with the receptionist and confirmed that they have 4 doctors on duty and that both children will be seen within an hour. When arriving at Reddy Urgent Care there was what appeared a normal wait. 3 hours! I know their intent was to cause a reaction but, instead they were all left shocked that I responded with the utmost professionalism I let my camera do the talking instead. In today age cameras are a great protection against liars!!!!!! When people try and change the narrative but the camera says otherwise...... Please tune in.... I'm exposing all racist and bias people and companies. This is America Jack!!!! And you will learn to play by the rules or be reprimanded.... This country has had enough of you sick people treating black people like we are trash.... I am not an object!!!!! And my children are not some social experiment!!!!! No one nurse or doctor should have the power to refuse to see my children nor should they have the power to have other doctors to refuse my family service as well. This injustice is reaching it's maximum peak..... #BlackLivesMatter and you dont have to like it..... But when you work for a hospital or a school or any work environment you must be professional... The signs in California that state we have the right to refuse service is another way of saying no colored allowed..... You are busted!!!! Also!!! St. Mary's staff have no right discussing my medical records with other staff without my authorization...meaning what happened at St Mary's hospital should have never ever been anything continued nor discussed with employess about my reason of entering St Mary's although it was for high blood pressure that shouldn't even be upon discussion with staff at Reddys Urgent Care. This is complete disrespect!!!!!!- and VIOLATION!!!!!!!

Mariana Cortez

I had my son there and it was great! The doctors were kind and one of the nurse was so friendly and supportive. I loved my experience.

Great help. Friendly people. Even in Er.

Leah Brown

Going to the emergency room there is a big hassle . Most the er staff treat people as if theyre all there trying to get pills for some kind of habit. This place is also known for working with the police and acceoting in whoever theyve beaten up at night , theyll treat them and then release them onto the street w/no bill or paperwork descrining what care they provided. Tell me when the last time you were seen by a doctor in a hospital without recieving a bill? Doesnt happen right? Well if the cops drop you off after messing you up theyll treat you and you wont get a bill.proves theres aevident level of cooperation between some of the nightime er staff and the police officers who make a habbit of roughing up whatever local they find suitable for violating. This all needs to be investigated. What happened to the "do no harm" ethic care providers are supposed to stand behind. Clearly that depends on several factors when it should be across the board instead. Try community or memorial better. They also dont recognize marriage or life partners in the gay community . So expect a fair anount of disrespect if in fact you are part of that group of people.

max polynice

I spent 4 days there 7/18/19 to 7/22/19 I was treated with care. The doctors are understanding. The food was good. I got a ride back home. My discharge was a bit too sudden.

Theachenda Hok

Don’t sign up for online waiting service it’s all bull!!!!did all that for nothing registered with confirmation number and still had wait 3hrs to be seen.. registration didn’t take my confirmation number she said it doesn’t mean anything..

Joseph Griffin

I go here a lot. Most all my drs are located on the same campus.

Amanda lacayo

WORSE HOSPITAL FOR ICU PATIENTS! if your loved one gets sent here in critical condition, I would try my best to avoid it and have them transfer somebody else. I just lost my mom there and all I can say is, be aware.

Robie Solis

Nurses and staff here are amazing.

mohsen abdullah Mamlakatie

My wife gave birth to a child in the hospital and this was my experience with the reception and obstetrics department Alfototiraba were wonderful times thank everyone from my heart and wish them success Luma their sincerity in the transaction and the dedication and work

Nita Nika

Had my babies here. Nurses are friendly and nice. Care given was exceptional. Parking is okay. Plenty of food options nearby if you hate hospital food. Staff at the main reception area are friendly. It’s a smallish neighborhood hospital. Not overwhelmingly huge that I would get lost or anything.

Theron Dennis

Doctors and the medical staff are very helpful, kind, and friendly. TD

Caleb Grodsky

Birth of our first child -- very professional, perfect bedside manner and excellent private rooms.

They have very rude nurses. Ok I went to the emergency room because I had broke my toenail and it was bent back, I was in so much pain, And once I got there they injected my finger to numb it, because they were going to disinfect my toe. So 10 minutes later comes the rudest nurse or the doctor i honesty did not know who the hell she was, she came to see my toe and to clean it, even though they had numb my toe i could still Feel the pain, So she tells me that she was going to unbend my broken nail, I told her seriously that is going to hurt even worse.? And she responded with a '' I know it's going to hurt, but you are here for me to help So Do you want me to unbend your nail yes or no? because I have other patients to go see, and I obviously said no. So she got out of the room angry with out saying a word, she did not give me a bandaid or anything for my toe so I asked one of the nurses for a bandaid because I did not want my toe to get infected and She said Are you sure you want a bandaid because you don't even want us to touch it, I just replied saying, yes , I will put it on by myself she said it ok, I honestly had a lot of pain to be arguing with them. So I headed to the emergency room at memorial even though they take a little longer they are more polite and treated me very well I will never go back to St. Mary's.

Cydnee Chambers

Reasonable wait and very good at making you feel better. This emergency room is my go to when i am in the area!

antonio colon

Taking too long to see the doctor in the E.R.

Lineda Malvoisin

Shawn Lorenzo

Delivering the most beautiful baby ever

Anjolina

I have an appointment, I'm in waiting room on time and I'm still in the waiting room almost 40mins later! They also charge for parking and they call you in and out constantly like you want to pay for parking. Look else where for a doctor that takes thease things into consideration. Needs better service.

leroy brots

Staff takes too long

Troiesha Robinson

I was a patient in the emergency room With a sprained knee, the services are horrible the nurses are UN attentive. I set in a room of four people seperated by curtains. The nurse would leave in not return for a long time so in my case because I couldn't walk I was stuck without a way to contact the nurse for assistance until whenever she returned. the other thing that was horrible was that there was one doctor to the whole emergency room, so I spent over 8 hours in the emergency room during my visit. after being there so long I had to leave so I asked if I could have wheelchair to leave and I was told No because I was leaving on my own. so I stay because I was then told that my discharge papers were going to be ready and it took more than an hour for them to be done. I will not recommend the hospital for emergency!!

Abbey Rain

Their emergency room is quick, I got great care way quicker than I'm used to. They didn't rush me out, any care that I requested was given without question. I'd pick it over the other ER's in town.

Omobono Gomez,jr.

The employees responsible for keeping this hospital clean do an exceptional job in housekeeing!

Marshall Buck

I was first taken to St. Mary's in 2012 when I broke a leg in a fall at the Long Beach Grand Prix. I was well cared for by surgeon Eamon Mahoney, and am now fully recovered. The 12 day stay was marked by the cheer, grace, and competence of the staff. Later, I chose to go to St. Mary when I needed an elective shoulder arthroplasty, expertly performed by Dr. Raymond Klug and again it was a very good choice. This time I was out after one night!.

Jessica Contreras

Nice staff, very professional. Took my3month old baby there because we was visiting and she ended up getting sick. I loved it, reminds me of St.Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, NV.

Maria Raygoza

Because ur taken. Care fast theres no. Delays

Tom Freeman

An advanced Hospital with a modern emergency room and exceptional staff. My daughter had her baby there and the Personnel was helpful and warm. I suggest sticking close to the hospital. Maybe inside. The neighborhood around this facility can be a little harsh. Beware and keep your experience inside the hospital. Go to the first floor kitchen cafeteria. They had great food and it was fairly inexpensive. Alot of thoughtful options. Great coffee!

Tony McCabe

I work here

Sonia Bentancourt

Love my doctor won't change it for no one else

The best service ever......

Paige K.

I went into the GI medical center for a very simple and short procedure on the 12th of July, 2018. By all accounts, it was supposed to be a quick and eventless process. However, before the procedure could be started, a non-critical but personally terrifying complication arose. The details of the event are unimportant, but what is important is that all of the nurses were incredibly caring and compassionate. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was physically stable and also not frightened. I really really really appreciate all of the nurses that helped me that day and I sincerely hope that a manager from their department sees this review. I already thanked them profusely, but I think that they additionally deserve a raise.

Amber Richards

Came in after I twisted ankle, it was about 4x the normal size. I got x-rays, the techs were gentle and caring as I screamed in pain the whole time. Then I was left alone for HOURS. I had 4 different people tell me they would bring me pain medicine, as I was continually crying. 3 1/2 hours later they put a splint on me, my being gentle or anything I couldn't stop crying from pain. 1 1/2 later a nurse brings me a motrin, 200 MG, and hands me discharge papers. Nobody told me it was sprained until I asked, they didn't explain to me how to take care of it or anything. They didn't give me a prescription for anything. And they made me walk out on crutches. I will NEVER in my life come back to the hospital or send anyone I care about here!!

Hugo Perez

Its a hospital i personally dislike them but the staff is friendly makes things easier

briana hatfield

This place is amazing. Everyone from registration to the intake nurse, phlebotomist to the Doctor, was attentive, actually listened, and offered solutions. I avoid the ER/Hospitals like the plague

Jessica Gutierrez

Waiting time is good. Clean place, nice staff. Very professional.

Kathleen Contreras

Nice but forgetful. They put you in a room and are very nice and seem understanding but then they forget about you no matter how much you go looking for someone because your pain is coming back full force again. Then they send you home saying nope it was just the flu when in reality it is appendicitis.

Jorge Escobedo

The hospital and staff were kind and friendly to my sister who was a patient there. My personal experience just waiting there for her release was unpleasant because two armed security guards went up to the fifth floor of the parking structure just to tell me that I couldn't sleep there. What??? First of all I wasn't sleeping, second what's a guy supposed to do if he's tired of waiting in the lobby, I mean sit straight up with eyes wide open staring out the windshield the whole time. I guess the information I gave them checked out & they haven't returned yet! cause I'm still here! To be continued...

triller queen

ER sucks & they're rude but labor & delivery has an. Awesome staff

Andrew Jones

I have been to this hospital many times. It is a bit old, but the doctors are good.

joanna zepeda

They were so rude when I went to labor & delivery. They have attitude when they talk to you. They sent me home because I wasn't in enough pain for them, they told me I had to be crying for them to attend me. I don't record at all.

Sara Weil

Serving the needs of the community

Peaches

Horrible!!! Every time I or any family member has an exoerience with this hosspital.

Natalie Florencio

Being from Las Vegas and going to ER here at home and having to wait 4-5 hours to just be seen this ER really made my ER experience amazing. The provider the nurses X-ray techs were so great. They provided my son with amazing medical help. I was seen by a doctor within 30 mins and was out within 2 hours. My son was happy and taken care of. Friendly staff. If I ever run into an emergency again in California I will be returning to this ER.

Eulonda Calloway

They have improved their services. Especially in the E.R. Im impressed

Guss ferretti

Rudest nurses! that's what happens when you get a degree to get $$ these workers belong in Mcdonalds not a hospital rude, entitled, and uneducated.

Kit F

They were extremely homophobic and rude to me when my partner passed away. there is no dignity in their care. They wouldn't even let me see her even though she had NO family here. Go to Memorial up the road!

James Willis

A few years ago, my daughter had an appointment. She was feeling ill that day and her regular doctor was not present. But there was another doctor in the office. As my daughter and I got to a patient room. We waited for fifteen minutes, the doctor finally arrived. He was an Asian man, average height (5"6-5"8), and dark skinned. He talked to my daughter unusually how an adult should talk to a child. I was suspecting he was a pedophile because he was asking if my daughter have a boyfriend, if she had done sexual actions with someone, etc. I was so upset. As a parent, I would not want anyone to go through that especially a child. She was a very innocent 11 year old that time. After a few questions, he asked my daughter to lay down on the patient bed and checked if she had pain on lower abdomen. But my daughter had no pain there neither asked her first if she had any pain in that area. So, why would you just continue checking there. I noticed he started to move his hands lower and quickly my daughter had moved away. She looked uncomfortable and I am very disappointed that I met that doctor and that my daughter had to go through something like that. I could not believe the way that doctor acted around my daughter. A doctor should be professional. A month ago, my mother had a doctor's appointment at 8:30a.m. she was in the clinic at 7:10a.m. Apparently, the clinic's door was left unlocked but there were no nurses in the clinic but three patients already waiting. About fifteen minutes later, one nurse finally had arrived and was surprised that there were patients already in the clinic. Many waited in the lobby and a few more nurses had arrived. The doctor had arrived around 9a.m. The clinic was so full and others had to wait outside or make-up another appointment. The nurses were having a conversation talking about love life, marriage, high school past relationships, etc. My mother was finally checked up at 11a.m. before she was done, she had asked the doctor for a medicine and to have it re-filled at a near drugstore. For four days, there was no doctor recommended medicine at her drugstore for her. My mother called the office of where she had her appointment but they would always hang up on her saying that they are currently doing something. They couldn't even hear my mother say, "hello" yet. My mother decided to call me and ask me to call the office when I am free. After half an hour, I called the office and a female nurse had picked up the phone and said, "hello" and I was going to reply till she hung up.

Leonardo Santos

Takes very long just to see a doctor

Dan Suter

Was working from out of town developed a serious knee infection. Everyone from receptionist to doc's especially the nurses were not only through but kind and careing

Rafael gutierre

Took my wife when she was 6 months pregnant, she was having pain and chills. Little did we know she had the flu and it was causing her to go into pre labor. Excellent services, very nice staff, professional people working here. With this being our first child we had nonidea where to go . definitely would recommend this hospital.

Virginia Killebrew

Visiting was wonderful very quiet

Marshall Munn

the best hospital in my eyes it saved my live.

Michael Fedorra

Been there as a patient! Outstanding hospital & I should know! Worked in one for years, food service!

Norma Jimenez

The OR staff are very helpful. They know what they're doing. They explain everything in detail. For sure a place to come in Whenever sick.

Michael Hall

Misdiagnosed, unnecessary surgical procedures, refusal of second opinion (I was told that if I wanted a second opinion, I could discharge myself against medical advice and get one elsewhere!), refusal to change attending that I had filed complaints with the State Medical Board against for failing to adequately treat on an outpatient basis, "forgetting" to remove NPO (nothing by mouth) orders to allow me to actually eat (I ate ONE meal in 4.5 days; nurses kept forgetting to remove the order, then I would be put back on NPO without being told about it, and would happen again the next day), and refusal to perform a reasonable test before resorting to surgical procedures. In fact, had they performed the "reasonable test" (a pulmonary function test, or a chest CT), the surgical procedure would likely have been unnecessary. I have never had such a horrible, terrifying experience, and have never felt so uncomfortable in a hospital. I felt as if they believed they were some elite institution doing me a favor I would otherwise not be entitled to in providing me medical treatment. If you value your life, and sanity, I would avoid this hospital at every last cost possible. There are two much better hospitals (both are actually part of the same system) in the immediate area -- Community and Memorial Hospitals (both part of Memorial HealthCare).

Genesis Rodríguez

I just gave birth to my second daughter a week ago today,at St Mary's,best experience ever! I wish I would've giving birth to my eldest there.

William Pollo

First was my daughter in the pediatrician and the nurses and doctors were great unique i would said.. now is my Son and the assistance is the same great assistance. i would like to thanks all pediatricians on floor 4 specially Dennis.

Darryl Fitzhugh

Had my first born here. Awesome! The staff was very attentive to my family's needs. I gave care to a cousin for a few years. He went here from time to time as well.

Morgana Rae

The WORST most incompetent company! I waited, alone, in the waiting room for over an hour after checking in, because the front desk didn't tell the nurse I was here. Then they failed to call my last doctor for my files, so I had to call the doctor myself, at the office, to fax my records. Then, two months after I paid my bill (and they deposited the check) they started sending me "past due" notices. No way to get through to their billing office. Nobody answers. Nobody calls back. What a bunch of lazy incompetents. I don't know how they stay in business. Stay away.
