I am employed at BRMC and have ALWAYS been exceptionally proud of where I work. However, the role from caregiver of loved ones to having my loved one cared for reversed. My mother had a stroke, one that left her at one point unresponsive and unable to breathe on her own...today we are going to rehab....almost to her baseline. The doctors were AMAZING!!!! The nurses ROCKED!!! The ancillary staff was phenomenal!!!! This hospital and our staff has been a Godsend!!!!! I’m so blessed to be able to work at such an AWESOME place!!!

I should have left a review sooner, had i known. I had ankle repair surgery in Feb 2016. Surgery started at 5 AM I was released at 10 AM I wasn't recovered from the anesthesia,I felt a little dopey. My specialist doctor ( I'm happy with) came in and asked how are you doing, I said fine, but you tell me. He says"Evert thing went great and they're releasing you" I say it's 10 AM He said "they don't want to keep you all day". Nurse comes in with a walker I say I can't use that flimsy thing. She said "it will hold you" I'm 6'180 lb I proceed to bend it on trying to stand. I asked my wife to get my own walker from the car. Shouldn't need your own equipment to check out. Disappointed I was sent home still feeling drugged. According to my wife, I passed out on the way home.I feel that ,with my surgery over and I was still breathing = Make Room for another.

3 or more hour wait in the e.r. to be seen, staff is lazy. You might die before you're seen if it's an extreme emergency. Wouldn't go there if my life depended on it, I'd just stay home and chance death. Incompetence at its very worst.

This organization bought out The Freeman Medical Group, a pain clinic serving me in the area. In 2014 the Baxter Group promptly raised their per-visit charge on pain patients to include their hospital fee despite the fact that patients do not use the hospital. In percentage terms the Baxter Group exacted an enormous mark up! I have a single remaining appointment with my former pain clinic. My primary care physician has referred me to a different care facility, one without an add on hospital fee.

I was taken to Baxter E.R. with a fractured wrist from falling from a ladder. I had substantial abrasion on my forearm that has debris from the ground and blood and they didn't offer to wash it off or take me to an area to do it myself. I was asked where I was hurt and I told them my right shoulder, elbow, wrist, back, hip and ribs. They only looked at and eventually xrayed my arm and it was pretty obvious my injuries went beyond that. Because it was a work related injury I had to give a urine sample, after the gal filled her sample vials she left the remaining urine in the examination room on the table. Eventually they got around to putting a splint on my wrist after multiple staffers asked me if someone had put one on yet. Hello? Do you see a splint on my arm? Hello???? I'm really unsure if the xray technician knew his left from his right. The ER wasn't very busy and there were several employee's just socializing and playing around with machines and cell phones. Even my co-worker that took me there was shocked at how poor their service was. I've had one previous negative experience there about a year ago, and just be aware that they don't send out bills or notify you in any way if you have a balance due. They just turn you into a collection agency and screw up your credit score. I hope I never have to go there again.

I would rather drive to another location than seek care here after seeing how others were treated. ER wait is often 4 or more hours. It was like pulling teeth to get that staff off their phones to help. We went over an hour or more between seeing anyone that worked there. My friend was admitted to ICU. The nurses were at the desks most the night on their phones. One person was constantly moving and busy. I saw that one person making sure there were things for the nurses and patients. The nurses were rude to not only that young girl but also the patients. In the room I could hear the nurses talking badly about other staff, patients, and the facility as a whole. After the wait and seeing how the staff worked in two seperate areas of the hospital I hope to never need this hospital.

Myriah Endres

If I could give them 0 stars I would... The ER part of this hospital is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never seen such rude and lazy nurses or staff. Misdiagnosis is clearly a big thing at this ER. Would never recommend anyone to this hospital unless you want to wait hours on end to only be misdiagnosed and sent home as if nothing is wrong with you.

Absolutely the most unprofessional people i have ever dealt with.sign on the wall in ER ssys if i dont understand feel free to ask questions until you do.so i didnt understand what was going on with my 11 year old daughter so i asked a couple of questions and they got angry with me.when i told them i had every right to know whats going on with my daughter they called mountain home police and had 4 officers come into my daughters room and threaten to take me to jail if i didnt cooperate.i was cooperating just had a few questions and this is how we are treated.i will never go back to this hospital,i will take my family to gainesville from now on.people beware

My husband about a year to two years ago went by ambulance because he had a massive nose bleed and it was coming out his eye. I got a phone call to go to the hospital. I got to the hospital and the receptionist at the ER desk was nothing but rude, and wouldn't tell me if my husband had made it in or not. Finally a nurse came and got me after 45 minutes to take me into the back. The nurse didn't know I was waiting for him until she came out to ask. My husband was sitting in this really small room in what looked like a dental chair, hunched over a trash can. He was still bleeding out his nose, he said he felt like he was going to be sick, and he was sweating so much his shirt was drenched in sweat. No nurse to be found on the floor or at the nurses station. After I threw a big fit 8-9 nurses show up. The doctor comes in and examines him and said they need to cauterize his sinuses because they were causing the bleeding. He gets a nurse to come in to run the machine while he cauterizes. The nurse didn't know how to run, let alone care. She was back talking the doctor the whole time. He asked her several times to run the machine. she said she didn't know how, and if he wanted it to work, he should do it. If I get in a situation where I need to go to the hospital, I'll go to Harrison.

DONT DO IT! Went in to ER after a bad fall&that silly nurse practitioner refused to give me anything for pain. I could barely walk! Inconsiderate, uncaring &uncompassionate people.Did they get their medical license from a cracker jack box?Management needs to educate their employees on bedside manner.

I've been there several times yes the ER is a long wait. But I have been in the hospital for 3 surgery's I had 1 extremely horrible stay. After my hysterectomy it was my husband staying there to help. They were very rude lazy and let my husband take care of me afterwards. My last stay 3 4 yrs ago they were AWESOME I broke my arm in 2 places and had to have surgery. The staff was caring very easy with me I couldn't of asked for a better staff. ER you will wait unless like my broken arm and my children no waiting time at all. Guess it depends. I'm neutral.

I went in with what could have been heart attack symptoms. A nurse and doctor shared a disparaging remark about me in front of my face (although they hid it behind the patient file, so I have no idea what was actually said, but they were pointing to portions of my chart and giggling). It turned out to be, in their words, a major panic episode. I was told to go home and hope it went away. No information on how I could help alleviate the symptoms. CERTAINLY no medicine. Just "Bye! Maybe it'll just resolve itself!"

My wife went in with pain to ER after a few hours their they could not figure out the problem so told her to go to her primary doctor the next day. She did and was sent immediately back to the ER. It turned out to be a pulmonary embalsim that they had misdiagnosed.

I was recently a patient of BRMC. The staff was excellent. Everyone did their job with love , kindness, and professionalism. Not once, did I ever feeI ,that i was not getting excellent care. I want to thank everyone , including those wonderful meals , kitchen staff...Everyone a big thank you for awesome job taking care of me in such a bad time. To many people to thank....But I did so love my night nurse Joan. Also a big thank you for bringing my surgeon Dr Malachi McCurdy to our area, he is an asset and blessing . All the sweeties at Ozark Surgical Group. I thanked God many times through this whole ordeal how blessed I have been.

How do you even begin a review to thank a team for saving your life? If it weren’t for the ER docs/nurses and their quick actions, I wouldn’t be here. I received the most genuine care from everyone I came in contact with once I was admitted to a room in the ER and then the women’s center. Dr. Corey Smith, Dr. Schulz, nurses: Kimber, Kimberly, Zach, Elizabeth, and Crissy..I will never be able to repay you for your expert medical care and also your kindness. You are all hero’s in my book! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Two stars is being generous after driving an hour and sitting in the er for 3 hours miserable and barely able to breathe only because my Dr office is so over booked u couldn't get in the apn on staff Thursday walked in and in less than 5 min tells me I have viral infection. Wow I can self diagnose just as good as him did he do labs to rule out bacteria NO did he do xrays as to why my lungs are in a vice and I can't breathe NO. He didn't even do a simple UA. Never have I seen a Dr so smart he can diagnose someone without a single test. Biggest waste of my time. And now after 5 days im still so sick I can barely move waiting on the new week to see a knowlegable Dr. Baxter you sure have went down hill with your staff.

Excellent medical and nursing staff, who provide compassionate care. Facility easy to navigate and kept clean. ER is timely, responsive and thourough. This community is fortunate to have access to such high quality and compassionate care.

I can only speak to the surgical out patient clinic in my review. My daughter needed her tonsils and adenoids removed. From check in to the pre ops to post ops she was put at ease which lessened her already scary experience and that helped calm her anxiety. She is 6 and this was an experience she was dreading but at check in they addressed her directly and the stuffed animal they gave her eased her some as well. Pre ops nurses were fantastic and also addressed her directly and putting her at ease by involving her as they prepared her. They were so caring and comforting that she hardly flinched with the IV being inserted. Post ops treats awaited her and once again the nurses were fantastic with her. Start to finish what would have been very traumatizing was made bearable by some amazing, caring staff that went that extra mile to ensure HER anxieties were calmed as much as possible. We appreciated all of them very much for all they did for her. The next day the post ops nurse even called to check on her. Great care! Caring professionals and staff at BRMC surgical clinic.

Baxter Hospital has taken care of my husband and now my adult son.

The hospital would be so much better with a better staff. A staff that is caring. I have no idea why Lacey ROBB is allowed to work at the hospital and be on airvac crew Any one that knows her personally, would NOT want her working on a loved one. Keep her out of the ER and out of Baxter she is taking up good space. Seems like a conflict of interest and I would like to see her be kicked out! Would love our hospital to get their own helicopter as well so no one in the county has to worry about a over priced bill for air ambulance. It would be covered by our insurance! Let's get a better staff and get rid of the bunch of vamps!!!

My brother was air lifted from compton arkansas on April 11 2017 with chest pains. When my husband and I got there ..,they had his social security number wrong and was saying that he wasn't a veteran . I told them that he was having pains and could they do something to relieve it. No response . I went out again and said that he was having chest pains could someone do something. They said they were trying to figure out if he was a veteran my response was what does that have to do with getting him some pain relief . They said nothing and that was exactly what was done... nothing. A nurse by the name of tara came out and told me that he would not be staying there in a very loud disrespectful manner to me and was very rude and very unprofessional . My brother will be transferred to little rock arkansas where I'm sure it is much more professional and will give a veteran the respect he deserves.

Baxter is ok if you stub a toe ,need a mamogram ,or get a cold.If you have anything serious wrong with you try to get to Springfield or Little Rock.I have had two close friends to work there as well as worked in local beauty salons and heard a lot of horror stories from the ladies that had procedures there. One lady said that they left the cotton swabs in her by mistake when they sticthed her up.On a personal note my mom went in with a mild ,no damage heart attack. They botched her heart up so badly that it was irrepairable. We had to take her to Cedar Sinai L.A.They said the scar tissue was so bad in there from a bad surgery that there wasn't much they could do for her. They put stints in there and she is on heavy heart drugs for life.So beware.

The APRN Jared needs to find a new profession he has absolutely no interest in listening to patients experiences with medications, he just prescribes the same stuff over and over. Because of him my sons rash developed staph and he could have died all because Jared was convinced creams and powders would work if i applied them long enough (over a month) and now hes decided my husbands abscess that did not go away with a round of amoxicillin and penicillin needed, you guessed it! MORE PENICILLIN. This man does NOT belong in healthcare!

My experience with this hospital was a positive one. I was transported to the ER by ambulance and from the time I arrived until I was released 3 days later I received excellent care. They were quick to diagnose my illness and were very responsive to any requests I has. I can't say that I enjoyed my hospital experience but if I had to be in the hospital this one was good. I can especially appreciate it now that I am staying with my sister in another hospital in Fayetteville that is so grossly understaffed as to be dangerous for their patients. Keep up the good work Baxter Regional.

My son did not receive proper care during his time of need from 12-26-18 to 12-27-18 from most of the ER staff. Starting with the employee that does the initial patient processing. This person was extremely rude and not compassionate what so ever to the family whom is worrying about their loved one. The RN in charge did not wear gloves when examining my son and did not act professional at all. The RN also gave her diagnoses of my son’s condition by saying “he is faking his condition to get attention”. The RN also said my son was pretending to have a condition in order to receive meds. After 8 hours in the ER my son was still having seizures. When asked the RN for help she said” yeah, he has been doing that”. This RN is the worst that I have ever been around. I do thank BRMC for transferring my son to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Within 24 hours of him being admitted to Mercy, my son was diagnosed with PNES and now he can receive treatment to stop his seizures. Mercy Hospital was top notch and very perfessional. They ordered a MRI and used an EEG machine to help diagnose him. BRMC turned him away 3 times in the last year. Maybe BRMC should invest in a MRI and EEG machine.

After waiting 2 hours in the E.R. waiting room with my very sick son, with only 2 other people (one showed up after us) we finally got into a room where we waited an hour and a half to be seen. After we finally were seen we were told to go to the window to get my son's school excuse (for the next couple of day's) where we waited more than 10 minutes to get it just to be told to leave by the woman that checks you into the E.R which still only had one person in the room and another checking in. I left without the excuse since the woman didn't even turn around to tell me to leave just told us to leave while she sat there and the other person behind the desk was doing nothing. I called this morning was hung up on twice when I called back the THIRD time I finally got to talk to a nurse told her my son's name and what happend, just for her to be rude and see what she could do to still as of yet not get a call back. This is not the first, second or even third time I've had problems with this hospital. Rude staff, lazy staff and No one to call to get their employees (who make a lot of money doing what they do, which I appreciate what they do since my family all work in the medical feild) to act and do what they are supposed to. Hate this hospital!

Traditionally you have to go through hours of waiting for procedures, scheduled in advance. A place always seems to be understaffed, employees look stressed out and underappreciated. I feel sorry for them.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! While I was having seizure after seizure the ambulance was called. The EMT had the nerve to tell me I was faking. When we arrived at the hospital, they didn't check my vitals or anything the doctor came in said, "you're fine I don't want to see you again and I'm not checking you in. Go wait in the lobby for a ride." They treated me like I didn't matter. I'm a wife and mother of 2. I certainly matter. I went to West plains and They took the time to run tests and figure out what was wrong with me. It's sad for those who's only choice is Baxter.

Billing department are complete rude and wrong, I have insurance and they want 50 percent of the surgery cost up front and wnot even put you on a payment plan for this amount first. Already paid doctors up front and now have to go through them to get money back. Also I've already paid my deductible which is all a hospital can ask for up front from what I've read and been told.

Went to the ER with my daughter and the MD Dr.Kinney was horrible, terrible bed side manner. He had no intentions on listening to our concerns, he would talk over us and had no compassion towards our daughter or us. Terrible terrible, sad to see people in that profession just for a pay check and not take there oath seriously. They are supposed to be there to help people not dismiss and collect the check. Seems that all the local hospital are getting worse and worse. Think we should all be in prayer for the hospitals to be turned around the right way. Sorry yall but I would advise to go to a better hospital elsewhere.

Don't bother taking a family member to the Behavioral Unit there. The only thing good about it was the nursing staff. They were all excellent! As far as the treatment, there is no treatment plan . My mother was in for 3 days, granted Saturday & Sunday there is nobody there qualified to evaluate her. On Monday their so called psychiatrist talked to my Mother once & said she can go home Tuesday. Not once did they run any important tests on her or contact me for her bizarre behavior. She is depressed & sucidal, but just stating she is not was good enough to release her. So if you believe that then you have a lawsuit on your hands due to my mother stating that she was abused by your staff, two male nurses came into her room one night & wanted to get in bed with her & my sister in law that lives up North was a nurse there. She even talked to the nurse as if it was her daughter in law & was upset she didn't give her a hug & kiss. So if she said it like she told the doctor she's fine it must be true! Plus the crude sexual behavior & words coming out of her mouth in front of staff was ignored. Me telling the staff about all this & then relaying it to the doctor meant nothing. So the little piece of paper saying they will help & work with the family is just a waste of paper. There is no way my mother can go out into society as they claim after the care she did not receive from that hospital. So I start at square one & hopefully she won't kill herself & she will come out of her delusional state. It's best to go to Fayetteville or Springfield. This hospital may look nice & fancy, but it's not a 5 star facility.

Better off taking the risk going to another hospital somewhere else other than this hospital, I mean if you want to live. You can go into the ER for a ear ache and somehow be diagnosed with a UTI. It's ridiculous.

4 years ago I went to this hospital by ambulance because I threw my back out and I couldn't move without muscle spasms. I had just moved to the area and didn't have a PCP yet because the closest one in network for my insurance was in Heber Springs 2.5 hours away. The ER treated me like a drug seeker and acted like my back pain was not their problem. Prescribed me tylenol and told me to see my PCP. Eventually, they roughly pulled me out of the bed, and pushed me into a wheelchair where they rolled me out outside and left me while I waited for my cab. It was snowing. I couldn't move without pain shooting up and down my entire spine (I have slipped and degenerative discs that are compressed). I was crying, in very light clothes because my jacket had been left at work, and in the snow unable to move. The cab driver helped me into the van and then helped me into my apartment. The next day I had to go to the ER again. Not by my own admission. I had called my dad crying (I had no family in the area) about how I couldn't move and the ER had only given me tylenol. He called a home health nurse and scheduled one to come assist me. I was 24 at the time, embarrassed, and I hadn't relieved my bladder in over 24 hours. The nurse got there and she couldn't help me so she called an ambulance again and they drove me the half mile to the ER. Same thing played out. Treated like a drug seeker and I text my dad for help. They only prescribed me muscle relaxers AFTER my dad called in a complaint and explained my situation. I understand the area is filled with drug seekers and working in healthcare is draining but no one should be wheeled out into the snow to fend for themselves when they're lightly dressed and unable to move.

I want to thank all the wonderful nurses and doctors for the emergency care they gave me after a tragic boat accident we had August 5th. The staff made me feel very comfortable and took good care of me. Thanks again for the kindness that you showed me.
