Here you will be able to see the information of people who use the services and products of The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital (Hospital) in Arizona.
At present the business gets a score of 4.1 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 100 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is really high, and it's founded on a high number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Hospital corresponds to the category of Orthopedic surgeon.
Clean and offer free refreshments. Their cafeteria was AMAZING!!!! NOT hospital food. Full on chef style, freshly made to order meals. Affordable prices as well!
Can't give 5 stars. Treatment could have been better.
Dedicated staff
Its a clean place and good customer service.
Dr. Steven Werner is the best and should have a 5 star rating. The Saturday staff needs some improvement . I felt that they were in s BiG hurry to get rid of me.
The recovery nurses aren't good but everything else is great
Just another corporate Dr. Office that is too busy to properly take care of their patients.
The after surgery pain care following my knee replacement was terrible. I was in a great deal of pain unable to sleep the entire time i was there. The hospitalist doctor did not even talk to me before he decided i was ready to go home. I will not ever use this hospital again.
Like you very much
The whole staff is caring, kind and so pleasant to their patients! My best friend had spinal surgery yesterday and today they are doing physical therapy! Highly recommend this hospital!!
The Core institute is awesome. Their front desk staff is friendly and efficient, the medical assistants are first rate and helpful, and the Doctors, nurse practitioners, and Doctor assistants are extremely knowledgeable and get to the root of any injury and health concern fast. I recently had a full knee replacement and I am already up and about because of their care and attention to detail. The Core institute is a full service office. They can order x-rays that are done in-house, they also provide physical therapy and Pain Management so if you're looking for a good doctor to help you with surgery or an orthopedic injury go to the Core institute they'll treat you right.
Best doctors in Phoenix.
I've had both knees replaced here.
The staff is rude!
This place know how to take care of you. From begining checking in to checking out best in & out surgery in town. They don't east your time waiting. High recommend The CORE Institute.
This is where my grandson had his surgery done on his right knee
Very good staff and Drs
Great nursing staff and amazing food. No social worker on site. My mom needed to go to a rehab facility as she is 80, lives alone and could barely get out of her chair. They wanted to send her home 2 days after spinal surgery. I had to fight with the physical therapist to get the aftercare my mom needed. Be warned! They try to shove you out quick!
Very out dated. Very nice staff, but very uncomfortable beds and just dated
The staff here is terrific and very professional. The office itself is not very inviting. I walked in the door and there was an odor that smacked me in the face and stayed in the air for the entire hour and 40 minutes I was there. The building needs to be redone and/or a good cleaning. I waited an hour, not considerate of the patient's time. I found out there is only one MRI machines, I won't think there would have to be that long of a wait. After being at the new Core Ortho building I don't understand how Core could have an office like this.
The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable, answer all your questions and make sure you understand everything that is going to happen so you are prepared for your post op.
I know that Dr. Creasman is a good surgeon
I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I was there for total knee replacement in August 2016. My experience was great. Nurses came to walk me before lunch, late afternoon and in the middle of the night, but only if I was up for the bathroom and if I wanted to walk that late at night. The food was the best, restaurant quality (or better). Rooms are a nice size, clean, have a tv, and private. The only problem I had was with the compression stockings leaving a rash and bruise at top of my surgical leg. The doctor looked at it and agreed the stocking should be shorter length, so we cut it. I am going back for my other knee in February 2017 and am totally at ease with it this time around.
My husband had surgery here and after reading all these reviews before his surgery we were very concerned about going there. HOWEVER, the bad reviews are all BS!!!! This was one of the best experiences in a hospital we have ever encountered. All of the staff from the doctor all the way down to the physical therapist was very professional. They truly cared about my husband's well being and care. They all went above and beyond for him. Not to mention my husband said they had restaurant quality food. We would highly recommend this hospital to everyone needing their services.
No long waiting.
(Translated by Google) Great with. (Original) Great med.
The billing department never answers the phone nor do they return phone calls. Core owes me money due to my out of pocket max having been met. Please return phone calls! All of the medical staff was EXCELLENT.
Wouldn't recommend it. Came in with a broken wrist, provided my own x-rays from urgent care, talked to the doctor for no more than 5 minutes. Didn't require casting, used a splint that I self provided, doc told me to keep it on for 4 weeks. All this I'm fine with. But somehow that qualifies on billing $1000? The urgent Care where they actually had to use special equipment (x-ray) and spent more time on me charged far less, go somewhere else that doesn't view you as an atm machine.
Best food in the world
Great place they are so nice and they care about u and your problems I just love them and my surgery rent great
very big organization but I have never felt like "just another number"

This is my 2nd knee surgery and I had to stay over night.. I wanted to send out big Thanks Dr. Moore and his team. Secondly I want to give a shot out to Pre-Op nurse Vivian I was glad you were on duty both time...She is the best I.V. gal that I every had. The night nurse Brittany Thank you watch over me like your new born baby.. Luz & Jill thank you too... The caferitera was off the chain like 4 star restaurant.. everyone was on top of things!! I can't say I'll be back unless I need a hip surgery.... Thank you! For everything! Susan Olawale
The nursing staff was very nice, however, it seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. Each time a nurse would come in, she (they were all female) would ask questions and state to me, "Oh, that should have already been done". Basically stating that the previous nurse didn't do what they should have. One nurse told me I needed to get up and walk around the halls and she would come get me later, she never came.... One nurse left me in the bathroom and said she would be right outside to help me back to my bed. She disappeared and I ended up walking back myself. The doctor asked if I was given lozenges for my sore throat, I told him the nurses never asked me if I needed any so I suffered for a while. The doctor also asked how many times I was taken out for a walk, again, none of the nurses took me. I can go on but I did not feel in good hands while I was there. To end it all, the doctor did not put the quantity on my pain pills so when we took them to Walgreens they could not fill them because no quantity was on them. I had to call the Core Institute twice as it had now been several hours later and Walgreens still had not heard. The 2nd call I was told something different than my first call, I was told that I need to "call the doctor who did the surgery, not the doctor who released me and wrote the actual RX scrips". Meantime, I am in major pain. Overall, I will personally never go there again. I hope I don't need too! Staff was friendly but clueless and my life depended on them. I would not trust them again.
There are good hospitals and doctors and there are great hospitals and doctors. Core Institute Specialty Hospital and Dr. Steve Myerthall are among the GREAT!! I needed knee replacement surgery but live primarily in another state. Dr. Myerthall’s staff took care of arranging testing and were flexible in finding dates that fit my travel schedule. It was effortless. Everyone in the scheduling all the way through every hospital service and hospital discharge were outstanding. My career was in hospitals and health care so I know the biggest decision is selecting the right surgeon. Dr. Myerthall has a well-deserved rock star reputation for knee surgery. My son has been in his care and recommended him. That was the best decision. Of course a great doctor will align only with great hospitals so I had ultimate confidence in Dr. Myerthall recommending Core Institute Speciality Hospital. Every attention to detail and staff were outstanding. It was obvious the folks working at Core enjoy their work and their engagement shows in their compassion, efficiency, stellar competence. Even though shortly out of the hospital I know I had the best in care and without hesitation recommend Dr. Myerthall and Core for knee surgery and will have the second knee done quite soon. To say I am impressed with this care understates my profound appreciation for GREAT care with Dr. Myerthall and the entire staff at Core Institute Specialty Hospital
My wife had surgery in January of 2016. Thankfully, the surgery went well, however, it seems that the "hospital" leaves much to be desired. Rather than waiting in an assigned area, I waited in the lobby on the first floor. That is where I saw my wife prior to surgery and where I saw her when she was ready to go home. It seems as if they call themselves the "CORE Specialty Hospital, the only affiliation they have with the CORE are doctors. The CORE docs are great! That said I did not see the doctor before or after the procedure..which is based upon my experience, somewhat strange. That said, the only two people I met t the hospital was a security guard and somebody from the Business Office. The Business Office representative said that unless we paid $461 immediately, the surgery cannot take place. Again, thinking that this hospital was a CORE facility, I thought that the $400 we paid at the CORE a few days ago, was our deductible for the hospital. In February my wife had to see another doctor. Shortly thereafter, we received his bill, which would have put us well over our deducible. It did not. Seems as if the "hospital's" bookkeeping staff did not file a claim for almost six-months. As a result, the hospital now owes us $461. We tried calling the CORE to see if they could assist us. The CORE advised that they had no affiliation with this hospital. Recently I was near the hospital, so I thought I would drop by the business office, the time was 11:00 a.m. All the doors were locked for all outward appearances it looked deserted.
Great place to get quality care from quality Doctors..Had 2 Total Knee Replacements & post surgery almost 3 yrs to date..I had Dr Douglas Werner for both surgeries & can't say enough good things.
They do not answer their phone and the message is very unprofessional. There is no operator or recorded message. Very frustrating and disappointing for such a well known group.
Excellent staff and facility!
Orthopedic Surgeons at The CORE did both my ACL/Meniscus & Carpal Release surgeries - I highly recommend both Dr Tony Nguyen (knee & shoulders) & Dr Scott Edwards (hand/wrist).
I had a total knee replacement January 2016. Was totally petrified as to what to expect. I have to say EVERYONE on this hospital's staff was so very kind, understanding and patient with me. Dr. Werner and his team did the utmost quality work you can't even see my scar. The only thing I didn't like about this hospital is they kicked me out after an overnight stay. I love the food so much I wanted to be there for a week or two! Thanks to the wonderful experience, I'm having my second knee done tomorrow. Not as frightening thanks to the staff and doctor!
My daughter had to have ACL and Meniscus repair today. From the first day when we got an appointment to meet with Dr. Nguyen everyone was amazing! Very friendly and prompt! Heather Doyle and Victoria our patient navigator were amazing getting us scheduled right away. Dr Nguyen and Tanya the nurse in recovery were so informative and kind and we didn't feel rushed in any way. I am so happy I took my daughter here! Thank you for making this run so smooth
I had a total hip surgery done on January 3d. I had the best experience at The Core Specialty Hospital. The staff was very kind, considerate and genuinely caring.( I was nervous because I had a procedure done a few months ago that didn't turn out the way I expected it to.) Dr. Omar Abdul Hadi was absolutely wonderful and explained everything. My pre-op nurses were the best and made me feel so relaxed. All of my nurses were wonderful and kind but I had a special nurse also and her name was Dakota! She was my guardian angel and was genuinely concerned about me. Actually all of the staff was genuinely caring about me. All in all I had a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone involved in my case!
Nice facility. Very clean. The tech was very good and I efficient.
From the moment my family and I walked in the day of my surgery we received nothing but exceptional service! their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! A very clean hospital. All of this was crucial for us during this times and made it a lot easier for my wife, my two girls and myslef, last but not least I'm very thankful for the opportunity to be seen and taken care of by one of the best Doctors in the country, Dr Justin Field.

Yes ,they did a great job here. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Very nice . Food was Great!
Very clean. Unfortunately, not all nurses are created equally... very attentive doctors.
Great surgeons. Excellent nursing care .
The staff is very Knowledgeable and Friendly the hospital is very clean.
The billing department is worthless. Same as the other reviewer here, they charged me an estimated amount upfront. Later, after the insurance was processed, it turns out that they had overcharged me. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE HERE! I called at midnight and one of the nurses answered. She left a message and I got a call back. The billing person agreed that I was due a refund, and said she would take care of it. This was ten days ago and nothing... Messages go unanswered. I am about to bring my doctor into it, as well as the Better Business Bureau.
This week, I had spinal surgery at the CORE Specialty Hospital on 19th Ave. The entire staff was amazing. I have a lot of allergies and the anesthesiologist spent time determining the best approach for pain management. This was very helpful. The nursing staff were amazing. If you hit the call button, they are there in seconds to help you. They don't forget you and explain everything. The only negative is the small, uncomfortable waiting room for pre-surgery waiters and visitors. The room is not big enough to accommodate patients who are often accompanied by more than one person and the chairs are low to the ground and terribly uncomfortable for waiters with orthopedic issues. The site is ongoing renovations, so hopefully they are planning on fixing the waiting room too.
BEST DECISION I could have made. I was nervous about staying here for recovery after reading some of the reviews, but my experience was amazing! My nurses Amy and Dakota were wonderful, sweet and very attentive. Hands down the best decision I could have made. They kept ahead of my pain and controlled it. Very clean room and they were so accommodating, even having a bed ready for my husband to stay with me. Absolutely wonderful experience!
My husband is there now and the care is excellent.
Dr. Brown did my husband's shoulder surgery. From the time we entered, everything went smoothly. The medical staff was top-notch. They were reassuring and* after the surgery, Dr. Brown came down to the cafeteria to get me. We stopped off at a waiting room where he went over everything that was done and then one of the nurses took me to the recovery room, where my husband was waiting. So glad that they suggested the nerve block. *As I was trying to make my way down to the cafeteria, I got lost. One of the nurses, was kind enough to walk me all the way to the cafeteria. It was after breakfast and everything was cleaned up but, he personnel had no problem in creating me a vegetarian breakfast burrito. They even brought my food to the table and checked on me part way thru my meal. Over-all we are impressed with Core Institute and their Specialty Hospital.
Dont judge the book by its cover! Seems to have state of the art equipment Excellent caring staff and physicians A special thanks to Terri W., the evening nurse. My doctor Dr. Myerthall and his pa kristin
Had my right knee replaced and came out perfect. Private room and nurse were great. Food was off the charts excellent! Kudos to the chef! Everyone was caring and helpful with everything on December 14, 2018 operation. Back to normal after PT.

Talk about good nurse and good food both went over and beyond the call of duty thank you for being there for me ,when I was so far from home I said a prayer for all of you to be blessed for your good deed, and thank u for the ride back to the hotel sense the shuttle didn't go that far =_=Dr Feilds is the best Dr =_=
My last appointment was April 23. Saw pain Doctor. It seems I am just passed around. Doctors here refuse to help after they have been payed. I am lied to about what's gonna be done. And after I wait 2 to 3 months for an appointment nothing is done. I was doginosed with my 2nd spinal disorder. U have been in pain for over a year with no treatment. I can not move my neck side to side. I can not drive,do regular housework, computer, travel or get a good notes rest. I have lower back ,neck and spine pain 24 hours a day. I have seen over three digits about this matter. I continue to be lied to and passed around. I ask for a letter or visit report. With all my diagnoses and medications. This is not the first time. As usual. They act like they just don't understand what you need and promise you what you need ASAP. I was told on my out. I would be called to pick up the letter when it was ready. Today is Thursday, may 10 th and I have not received a phone call nor a letter of any kind. Nor any treatment at this time. Some of you ask why do I go back. I will not be turned away or discrimination will not take place. I have a right to get service just like everyone else. And I will go to management, supervisors, corporate and I will go to social media and even the local news team. I am a dick women who needs help. And I will get whether core wants me to have I or not. I will not stand for it.
Good hospital
Great place excellent staffing ratios wonderful nurses, patient care is a top priority which you don’t find just anywhere. These doctors really care about their patients I’m totally impressed ❤️
