The staff and customer service was terrible. Got left in the bathroom by nurse when I said I needed help. My fiance was the one to get me n help me.

Miranda Mute

Just go in person if you call all they'll do hang up on you. Their staff members are very unprofessional. Even when I tried to set up an ER follow up for my child. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Nichole Tsosie

5 stars for their Dental department. The front ladies are very welcoming and helpful. The female dentist, Dr. Haase is the best dentist! She is very professional and she gets the job done.

ALERT!!!!! ALERT!!!!!! ALERT!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL !!!!!!!! Me and my fiance had to go to this hospital because I had a severe case of carpal tunnel syndrum, my hand had 0 resistance in them and I could barley move my fingers/wrist. As we get in the hospital, the nurse behind the glass gave us a lot of attitude including rolling her eyes at us. As the nurse checked my vitals, she was telling me that she doesn't think my hand was that bad, (without even exam it or anything). While this was happening, all the doctors and nurses were starring and talking about my fiance body. When the doctor came in the room, he doesn't say one word, just stares at me with a mad look. As he checked my hands, he completely disregards the fact that my left hand could barley move. He tells me that I do not have Carpal tunnel syndrome and he has no idea what is wrong. They did take xrays but they never showed me or my fiance them. After disregarding the fact that my hand couldn't move, he tells me to take ibuprofen to help with the pain. I informed him that I have had serve near death ulcers due to ibuprofen and cannot take that. Without knowing more information about it, he tells me that I am able to have ibuprofen. This hospital is HORRIBLE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! P.S after we left this hospital we went to another and they knew by just looking at my hand that I had Carpel tunnel syndrome. Because of Phoenix Indian Medical Center, my hand go it worse and I now cannot raise my finger. I am now being treated properly by a hospital that knows what they are doing.

Doctors are great, it’s just the receptionists who really make this place terrible. You ask them a question and they give you a run around whether it’s regarding appointments, finding out your results, etc. The receptionists don’t even know how to properly greet someone and come off as unfriendly, and unwelcoming.

Heather Hand

Scheduling appts at PIMC, specifically with a specialist, is always unnecessarily difficult. You're instructed to call back at a specific time of day and when you do, the line either just rings and rings or you get a recording that says to callback later. By the time you are able to get through to someone, you're informed that all of the appointments have already been filled and to call back another time. They then take down you're information and say they'll call you back to schedule but no one ever calls. I work for a facility and have been attempting to schedule dental exams for 2 clients for almost 3 weeks now, to no avail. Also, the receptionists are always very rude and just sound angry when they finally do answer the phone. I've worked in the medical field for 5+ years now and I understand how stressful and frustrating working in a busy medical facility can be but that's no excuse for poor customer service and downright rudeness.

Totally impressive care all around. Helpful staff, and Great Dentists.

I went and got seen immediately and the staff was so amazing

how is the dental here ??

sheen2728

the worst dental service you can imagine! If you can pay and go somewhere else where the doctors would actually care and be compassionate about your issues concerning your dental needs. . Do that ! Because the Indian dental emergency has some the worst doctors. I’ve been there and my father has been there for emergency’s service.. For me; they did some crappy fillings and pulled out about two teeth because they say they don’t route canals which is kind of stupid because I’ve over heard The doctors with other patients scheduling root canal . . But I don’t get one.. okay! For my father; they had to pull one tooth out but ended up knocking out to other teeth when they were trying to pull out the one tooth in front which caused him to lose about three teeth . My mother was going the sue, but they ended up fixing the two veneers they initially knocked out of his mouth. All in all, bad hospital.

Marlene Curley

This whole facility is very unprofessional.. extremely slow in every department , especially ER!!! You would think they would have better service/ system going due to being in demand for high number of Patients. Filthy as heck!! Reservation facility is better in my opinion

I went thier 3 times for pain in my lower back and legs it hurts so bad the first time I went they gave me ibuprofen and said I might have a pulled muscle sent me home,2nd they checked again gave me naproxen,x ray said it might be a pinched nerve,3rd time and all 3 times I'm in really bad pain 1 0utta 10 the level was a 10,they did blood test, xray, urine, said I would need to make a appointment with the orthopedic but hes backed up it'll be weeks,I call in today to see if I was gonna get a apointent was told they cancelled I didnt need it?I'm still in pain it affects my life 24/7 that's all they could do I know its free you get what you pay for I understand the b.s the employees have to put up with I really liked this place been going since a kid even when I did have good health insurance still chose to go to this hospital to give back for me to go 3 times spending hours each visit last visit 11 hrs to get sent home with ibuprofen and no answer to the source off my pain feels scrappy someone should look into whos running the show and make improvements

Krystle Garcia

It's always busy

Stephanie S

Dr. Webb at the dental clinic is wonderful no pain at all

I feel like my daughter and I always get the care we need. We get almost all of our medical needs here. My daughter was born here and I had an excellent experience. I also had surgery here and I felt that I was well taken care of. I really like how this hospital serves it's people even though it's not an updated facility.

Joseph Bigbey

Went in for what I thought was a lung infection (which i did have)and when i went back a few days later for a work release, the PA found I had a fever, following her training and her gut instincts, discovered I had had a heart attack a few days prior, and got me started on a series of tests that ended up with me getting 2 stents implanted, saving my life. How can I say anything bad? Yes, sometimes the waits were a little long, but when you're sick, don't they all seem long? THanks to Dr Gary Cole, and his PA for keeping me breathing.

Yanna Holt

What does the labor and delivery provide. In the rooms for the newborns

JLane Hardy

I regularly go to this hospital. I have insurance and could go somewhere else but I choose to come here. I think most people don’t understand that IHS is socializing medicine, there is going to be a long wait for some visits, there isn’t a lot of money flowing through here because, guess what? You don’t pay anything out of pocket for any services. Yes, customer service isn’t like Chick-fil-a, but just be nice and they will return the favor. For the most part, I have great interaction with people even those who were having a bad day, all I did was smile and had some patience. I have had few bad interactions with some doctors, and have decided not to ever get appointments with them. I have that choice. To be fair, I have also had horrible experiences with private sector doctors as well, so go figure it’s every where! All in all I would recommend going here, the midwives are spectacular!! Wouldn’t have my children anywhere else! The dental has been great for my children and same day surgery is great! Pediatrics has some good doctors but also has some doctors that are very judgmental and belittling, esp of alternative medicine.

Ree Begay

Always great customer service. Been coming here since the 80's.

Marissa Cedillos

Worst customer service ever!!! They are so rude, horrible attitude, and very unhelpful. They are the worst at scheduling appointments. Benefit coordinators also need to work on doing their job correctly.

EM WINTERS

The opening hours for star clinic is supposed to be at 8am on a saterday and sunday. Currently it's almost 815 and they still havent opened. This is the most unprofessional indian medical center I've ever been too. I've been here before and they are rude.

Franky Uff

Been going to this hospital for quite some time now my kid's always get treated well here and never get issues.

Erin Nelson

PIMC treated me with the most respect and even got me to a transportation company so i had a ride home. Day and Night med transportation showed up within timely manner and everything was smooth sailing after that. Phoenix indians are very blessed to have a hospital that truly cares for their patients.

Samantha Kee

Andrea Martinez

I went to the Star Clinic for a pelvic exam and I was not very satisfied. I gave the review an extra star because the appointment time set up was right, it was a long wait but they were truthful about it. When I went, I was told to take a urine sample and when I finished to leave it on this thing outside the room and they must’ve forgotten about it and I’ve waited a long time for the nurse or doctor to ask about it and I told them where I put it and it ended up being tossed in the trash. It made me a bit angry because to me, they’re supposed to be responsible for it. Also, they told me I would receive a phone call for my results in a week and I patiently waited and more than a week past I eventually called for my results. I felt like the staff did not care at all about anything.

Michael H

If you can, do not take your family here for any observations for behavioral or psych needs before transferring out. Professionally, I fear their lack of support and understanding. I've observed the ER nurse not fully clearing an environment for a DTS individual.

Jefe Sang

Long waits, rude service and probably underpaid workers. I don't known but this place for as long as I remember has been a hit or miss. I.appreciate free healthcare very much but the I got treated on the.phone is unacceptable. Jason in ER needs to work on his customer service and not hang up on people. It's a freaking hospital, what's you problem....

Angie Tapia

I would not recommend this hospital to anybody. Especially if you need medications that you depend on every month. My Dr left and did leave a directive for another physician to cover his patients, so meds I called in last week cannot be filled until he returns. That is irresponsible as well as negligent.

Sophia K

I've been going there for over 20 years, since I was a child. Every time I go there, I have a mediocre to TERRIBLE experience. Some employees are rude, clueless, slow & they act like they don't care because they don't. They’ve been argumentative & nasty. I just spoke to a nurse about 30 min ago who was so wretched that I just hung up on her. I'd also like to add that I'm sure the majority of these 5 star reviews are simply because there's no cost to the people who can go there. 2019 Update: they now have a call center to make the appointments & I Love the mail program for Rx refills since I don’t live in the area. There’s definitely room for improvement but they’re making small steps in the right direction. Parking still sucks but not much they can do about that. 6/12/19 Update: I went for an appt w a new Dr in Primary Care on 5/31/19. She was so incredibly rude & condescending. She never smiled, shook my hand, introduced herself, or had any sign of being educated on bedside manner. I felt like crying, honestly, after walking out because of how belittling she was. I called & left a message w the patient advocate that day & I was supposed to get a call back. 12 days later & sill no call..yes, 2 stars is still very appropriate.

This place needs to get there s*** together. Even other indian hospitals in the middle of nowhere do even better then this.

Ernestine Lamone

This visit is ridiculous! Checked in at 230 in the afternoon it is now 900 at night still have not seen the dr. Ridiculous is all I can say!!! Express Care Clinic patients were transferred to the er.

Dereak Sikes

I was a great service here never experienced any weight times I've been going there since 2007 never a complaint

CoffeeSpiller

I had a doctor from here tell me to go find a primary doctor because the problem that I have is a real problem for real doctors not these phonies in training that work here... They all act like they better than everyone else.

squirrely5089

Every time I call to schedule an appointment, the people on the phone don't care to listen they transfer you and ends up going to voicemail. All the native workers who work as customer service do not smile, are grumpy and gives you a "F off" kind of look.

Katrina Dean

I've been coming here for years. The staff is helpful and pleasant if you are to them. Doctors and nurses are helpful if you're admitted. E.d is always busy but it's gotten better over the years. Express care is pretty fast but they close at certain time.

Samantha Begay

So hard to schedule an appointment, you can call 30 times in one day, and they still won't answer the phone. Your midwife will tell you to come back in 2 weeks but realistically with their openings you go back in 3.5-4 weeks IF you're lucky. I suggest if you have insurance and don't mind paying the copay. Go somewhere else for your prenatel care. The nurses are nice it's just PIMCWC has crappy scheduling and crappy phone systems they need to upgrade to something that helps them deal with such high number of calls instead of the rude response the receptionist will give you all the time such as "well if you called yesterday..." The hassle to get ONE appointment is overwhelming most of the time. I can be the first caller and they would say call back tomorrow after telling me that the day before. Go else where!

J Bilducia

Dr Pond is the sweetest and caring doctor! we love her!

Kristi Kobinski

I love the Indian Hospital! I’ve been seeing my Dr. Keith Noback for sometime now, and I think he is an amazing, kind, and very smart Dr. in the primary care building. I’ve never been treated better!!! Dr. Noback and his assistant rock!!!!

Jennifer Loma

Wow. The emergency room staff made my pain seem like it was all in my head.. definitely getting a second opinion.

Ryan Veale

Going on hour 6. (Waiting)

Wanda Martindale

If I could leave a negative star I would... This place has the worst customer service of any place claiming to provide health care. The staff are rude, ignorant and dis-interested in finding a solution. They wonder why they are under funded... Its because anyone with insurance better than AHCCCS goes where they don't get disconnected every time they are transferred.

I was here 3 days ago. The last few years I have dreaded it. Between my paperwork getting lost, basically every time I visit to, just this last visit in the ER. It was a short visit, went in with shingles which I had previously been diagnosed with, I've had it 6 times just within the last year, so I know the signs. I get in to do "triage", tell the very nice lady what it is. Then a very condescending man comes over and tells me it's just a rash. Literally like 3 times comes to tell me it's just a rash then tells me just to go down to the clinic, it's a shorter wait. I go back to the waiting room, keep in mind it's a Friday night, there is one other person there and I waited maybe 10 minutes to get pulled back again where I'm asked by 2 other ladies what the issue is, one of which tells me do not touch anything or move and contaminate anything, after she tells me the man told her it is just a rash. I again disagree. Third woman comes in, asks the question, she comes and looks and says, "looks shingley to me, nice boots. What types of medications do you take?" I tell her and then she walks back to the desk to do the prescription and I hear them all joking about how they hope I'm not touching anything and it's a trauma room and I should not be contaminating anything. Now I can continue to deal with the loss of paperwork but to be made fun of and talked about and literally told over and over that my shingles is just a rash, even after being diagnosed was literally one of the worst visits I've ever had and I do not ever want to go back.

Amber Alejo

The worst place ever been waiting for 6 hours the the doctors and nurses and doctors not doing nothing

i am trying to find out if my son has an upcoming appointment scheduled at PEDS and i am calling the main line to the hospital , i get transferred to the correct department but apparently i was told they have an answering service now and they are handling all the calls for peds ... well they are not answering phone calls ... but of course they tell you they are and of course they do not have a number you can call them directly .. omg who's idea was this anyway ??? Seriously people .. ??? Great idea whoever thought of this ... ( i'm being sarcastic by the way ). >: (

Fast, Easy, and Clean. They took my wife in the same day . On the dental side. She had two tooth extractions. And have the Pharmacy on site. They were professionals from the first time I called them for directions and information until I visit the facility. Thank you All .Keep up the exceptional courtesy and work !!! --The Cortez's--

very unprofessional. receptionist scheduled different time than she told me , kept telling me i never been there to have a folder ( been there in my adolescence years, i know i have a folder there)and when i did arrive they didn't have the birth control i requested 3 weeks prior and tried to pressure me to get a different brand. Coincidentally after i left for my 2 1/2 drive home they call and said oh we do have the birth control come back !! if any other hospital in az provided the birth control i want ..i wouldn't even go here.

Gina Marshall

Myself and my daughters have only ever received great treatment and friendly staff. Wait times can vary from very quick to all day in the ER but thats to be expected these days in any ER! My youngest had oral surgery there and we were treated wonderfully!

Tiffani Clark

The star clinic is a great addition to the hospital and it seems like they do their best to get through the large amounts of people in the waiting room however the dental part of the hospital is very frustrating to deal with. You call to try to make an appointment. They tell you to call on Mondays at 1pm to make an appointment. When you call on Mondays, they shut off their phone lines. The one time I managed to get through, they put me on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up on me.

Worst hospital I've ever been to in my life... better off going to a regular er better and faster service I'll pay 1,500 dollars to an er before i ever come back here again... horrible horrible

Wraydell King

I'm from New Mexico and the IHS is better than this. Emergency Room wait is horrible! I think literally they hired anybody to "play" doctor. I'm Native American and never been told to apply for insurance...after moving here they tell me that I have to apply for insurance before I get seen. Horrible!!! The ER and Star Clinic staff are very rude!

Dru Etsitty

I enjoyed my stay here, the staff on the 3rd floor were great to me. I got the care I needed. They sent me home with the supplies I need. Keep up the good work.

KAL- EL

The environment of the institute is good, service is alright and of course I appreciate the staff's hard work to help people. My only concern is why proper testing isn't fully taken? I understand there's got to be certain procedures before taking the next step to testing patients. Each visit I get seen by a nurse for vitals. (Proper procedure- Thank you) Then the doctors comes in and ask simple questions, based off the answers they send you to the pharmacy for medications. I'm concern why proper testing isn't fully done. Few times in the past I had chest pains, chronic neck pains etc.. and most recently food poisoning after returning from another country. No proper testing to see if I was in good health.( Left the hospital with MORE medication no proper professional help, Maybe it was something I could've read about on Web MD and bought over the counter drugs and stayed ill) Just a simple two question and the classic nod with the famous words "Head to pharmacy and take the medications." Of course with a brief description of the meds and off to the pharmacy. Indulging in medications with no full diagnoses and most importantly hurting the liver more Instead of another alternative. Doesn't feel right. It's been over 4 yrs now and nothing's really changed. Disappointing and still feeling sick. Overall my appreciation still stands.

BIO-CHEM PEST CONTROL DEPARTMENT

Overall I've had a great experience going to PIMC... all doctors and nurses are professional and well knowledge in their fields... I have never felt like they didn't care about what I was going thu... Yes sometimes wait times are ridiculous but you will get taken care of... for someone who can't afford insurance I am very grateful...

Amiyah Ty

The staff here is absolutely ridiculous They are rude and forever with that serious look on their faces it's amazing they work in the field that they do. And why is the wait forever and a day while you see so many staff sitting around jibber jabbering always. I was admitted here awhile ago and had surgery which is the worst thing ever because the nurse that was on duty was actually giving me more Tylenol then I should of had and the day I was scheduled to be discharged they come in and tell me they are taking me to ICU because the nurse gave me more then she should of given me and once in ICU I was given something thru and IV that caused me to vomit all over. If I could I wouldn't have even given a star.

Lynette Noline

Chelsea Hathaway

We are very pleased with all of the nurses and doctors at Phoenix Indian Medical Center! Our kids Doctor is wonderful!!

Ejay Agnes

Wait times shouldn't be this long. Smh please improve or get new management

Jennifer Zuni

There needs to be a better way to setup an appointment for dental. Calling every Monday to try to get an appointment is crazy. This is my third Monday and I can't get through. I don't understand why they can't schedule you or put you on a waiting list. Calling 87 times to try to get scheduled for a check up is just not right.

Ana B.

Primary pharmacy front desk help could have a little more professionalism.

Scott Thomas

I took my girlfriend there yesterday and wow this place is a mess. They have no organization. Everyone there is sloppy and unprofessional. And I have read some of the reviews on here where they say that they are busy. So what. That is what they are getting paid to deal with. And every hospital is busy. And every hospital has a time programmed protocol as to how you will be treated. But the worst part is they really don't seem qualified to give health care to begin with. We arrived at 10:38 A.M. And left at 4:50 P.M. and still never saw a doctor. Kept getting told we are next on the list but no one ever showed. Meanwhile all the nurses where making jokes that weren't even funny and taking lunches. But never saw a doctor. They are pathetic.

Kalvina Vidal

My experience was great!! I received the healthcare that I needed. Admitting process was done on a timely manner and the staffs are very professional. I give alot of thanks to the nurses on the 3rd floor and doctors that help me back to good health. I would recommend to others. Its all about patient's care.

Lucius Vavages

Awsome

Stefanie I Miranda

Emergency room is under poor management, Wait time is to long. There is alot of miscommunication within departments, I waited for labs forever since they took forever to put in orders, under staffed and customer service is very poor with emergency staff.

Kori Gilliam

Although the staff at the Indian Hospital are often moving at a snail's pace, and the wait time is sometimes atrocious, nothing beats free health care. And, although they are slow, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Brooke Bekis

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars...went into the ER today for a sprained ankle/torn foot ligament....I didn't get any pain meds, no bed to sit in to elevate my foot, no cold compress!!! Just sat in a wheelchair waiting, only to be given a side ankle foot brace that was too big when my foot was the problem NOT the ankle. I told the nurse the brace was not supportive and was told by the nurse she put the brace on loosely because of my pain, when I tightened it at home or was TOO BIG! The person who fitted me for my crutches talked to me from behind and I didn't know she was talking to me until my husband, who was facing her and whom I had my foot elevated on, told me she was asking me questions. By far the worst care I've received and will be getting a 2nd opinion tomorrow from a different health facility. Negative stars would be good for this place! For the love of God DO NOT go here unless you have no other choice!

Angelina Smith-Johnson

Dr. Josephson and his team are amazing! The care and compassion is definitely present the their office! They are kind and very helpful also making the trip to the dentist not scary at all. For my cleaning and exams I will keep coming back, I know I’ll be in good hands with anyone of them. Thank you Dr. Josephson for taking such great and prompt care of my smile!!

Rachel Wendt

I’ve been going to this hospital my whole life and always had a good experience. This past month I’ve had to make a couple appointments in the Women’s clinic and it’s finally led up to getting my surgery today which was my first. I was nervous but the nurses and doctors were reassuring, lighthearted and professional. Dr. Kohr is the best. She’s been so professional and definitely knows what she’s doing. The staff is always polite and friendly. I feel confident in what they do and I’m grateful! Thank you PIMC!

Leena Antone

If you have the insurance or means to go to a real hospital please save yourself the aggravation and do so!!! The ER wait time is ridiculous. I've been sitting here with my 2 year old son who is bleeding profusely from a gash on his chin for almost 2 hours. And there's hardly any other patients SMH I wouldn't send anyone I love or care about if there was any other options. This establishment is a joke.

Claudina Lopez

I'm SORRY BUT I THINK THIS HOSPITAL/STAR CLINIC IS. So HORRIBLE!!!!! On FRIDAY (2/1/19 I HAD A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT IN PRIMARY CARE...THAN WAS GOT A VOICEMAIL, SAYING THAT MY APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED, CAUSE MY DOCTOR HAD CALLED OUT!!!! I WAS SO HEATED BECAUSE OF THIS!!!! To MAKE A LONG STORE SHORT....I NEEDED TO SEE MY DOCTOR...THAN HAVING TO GET THE RUN AROUND FROM THE PHARMACY AND STAR CLIMIC!!!

Troy Sebastian

The staff is exceptional!

Olivia Mori

when you're trying to make an appointment by lorraine at front desk (Woman's Clinic) you can expect either rudness, lack of wanting to work there, & jst an unpleasant monotone voice. I've NEVER been talked to do unprofessional the way she was on the phone. & her adding in a "wooowwwwww"was jst the cherry on top

Patricia Maki

I would give one star, except the doctor who ended up seeing us was great. The staff is awful. I took my youngest. They denied seeing her before and claimed I couldn't prove decendancy. This time, I brought what they said I needed. They turned me down again! I have been seen here and received awful service for 20 years. I only was here because my work decided to wait to have my insurance kick in. Every person we talked to, in the STAR clinic, records, and benefits are obviously cold people and didn't care a 3 year old was miserable. The only people who acted like they cared was in the ER and they and the pharmacy had us on the way in no time. We were there for 2 hours just trying to talk to people and how ridiculous they were being. When I don't think they can go lower, they know how to stoop further. The lady with the drawn in eyebrows at the Star clinic was particularly rude. She was probably the one who answered the phone when I called beforehand and didn't answer my question, but stated "we just opened."

Lee Edwards

good friendly staff who take good care of u

Tiffani Redhouse

They are very unorganized. Only one doctor works over nights and er is always packed. Most of the time they dont have room to put patients in. If yu want a wait time, ill give yu one. Its going to be 4 to 6 hours for sure.

Shy Sanchez

The best care hands down!! After years of going to banner medical

Shajuana Nixon

The ER needs to stop forgetting about their patients. They're so rude, and forgot things alot. I feel like the doctors need to communicate with each other. Because they ask you the same questions just different doctors. So horrible at customer service. I regret coming over here to check up on my pregnancy. Half these doctors don't know what they're doing.

BrotherLee21 Xbox

Long waits hate going to the hospital from the first place never wanted to but my friends said they'll probably find something wrong. Screw that this hospital made me wait for 2hrs and I still haven't seen the doctor I just left because they said their is more people ahead of me there was only 3 people when I got there nd when I waited to see the doctors 5more people came in and they got called first to the doctors this is why I hate hospitals my friends learned first experience with me because they were they're next to me

Personally the times that i've been there they have treated me very well. I have no complaints my stay there was great. The doctor that i have been seeing at the women's clinic is great and the nurses are too.

Horrible ....most useless hospital I been to and by far the rudest. DON'T GO HERE !!!.......

Owl Feathers

I came in one night after my baby accidentally swallowed an object. I was afraid it might have been a coin battery that popped out of her big sister's toys. Knowing the risk (acid burns, esophagus erosion, etc). I quickly buckled my baby in, raced over to PIMC, ran in, and my baby threw up on the floor in front of the glass window. People allowed me to cut in line after seeing THIS. I cried and explain to the nurse on the other side of the glass that my baby was crying all the way over because she swallowed an object that had now become lodged in her throat and is in pain. The idiot nurse, Barb, looked at me blankly and annoyed and said "Well, is she blue?"!!! The room was silent, people were looking at her. I again explained, through tears, what happened and this heartless nurse carelessly says "I need you to fill this paper out first" !! People were disgusted by her careless response. Then Barb the Heartless Nurse turns around annoyed and (w/her monotoned voice) says to a nurse "Can we take her in now?" I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS WOMAN!!! A nurse behind Heartless Barb, after hearing everything, quickly gets up and says "I'll take her" and came to my aid. Jeniffer (or maybe Jessica) you were wonderful and so kind. You saw the fear in me, a distraught mother. Thank you!! Heartless Barb shouldn't be up front assisting emergencies!! I don't know what her issue was but anyone, after seeing a mother and 1 year old in distress, would have taken immediate action. She just had no compassion and I couldn't believe this sort of person interacted with people in emergency situations. *All the other nurses were wonderful. My baby is well. No serious harm. I know it could have been worst. If your a mother you know accidents happen especially with curious little babies. I'm not a perfect parent...who is anyways? But I did everything that night to help my baby. I'm just disappointed that I experienced this at PIMC.

I have had nothing but great experience with this hospital. I have had NUMEROUS surgeries over the last 5 years, While yes their service is a bit slow, their staff is CLEARLY over worked and deal with RUDE people I can see why their attitude is bad to those who clearly are treating them poorly. Free doesn't mean you get to treat it like trash. APPRECIATE what you have people. Spouses who are non native, have no health care definitely would appreciate what is offered here, why dont you go buy insurance and go somewhere else and let people who appreciate the staff and service they provide use it, maybe spouses will once again get service if those who don't like it get their own insurance thru Obama care. This hospital gets a bad rap from people who think they DESERVE it and just don't outright thank their lucky stars its even here.

Worst service ever! My child has an infection and the staff are falling asleep and on their phones while we wait going on four hours to be roomed!

Staff is not very friendly at the ER. Wait times are extensive. Ive been coming here since i was a child and nothing really has changed. Very comparable to what you experience at the VA. Many people have left in the past 3 hours that were very sick because of the long wait time they were experiencing. Does not appear that the issue is monitored by the administration or that they care since nothing has really changed in the past 45 years or so that I have been coming here. They are short staffed and no doctors. Only see Physicians Assistant s.

Not the best doctors are here

I’m having a hard time getting through on Mondays for a dental appointment, any tips or better way to get in or heard quicker. Today I called 30 times, from 1pm to almost 2pm. Help!

I went into the ER with my two kids around 11:15am, we were all running fevers and had body aches. They just gave us tylenol and had us wait in the overcrowded lobby for 5 hours. Lady that checked us in was rude. Then we had to wait over an hour for meds. My niece recently went in with a fever, heavy breathing, and throwing up... they had her wait in the lobby again and the ladies at the front said they would only take patients in the back if they were dying and the wait time was confidential! They were straight up rude so we ended up taking her to another hospital by 2am.

LEE ANN RODENBECK

I am so upset right now. I have been in the ER since 11am. Sunday I slipped on my tile floor and landed flat on my back. I hurt my back and I am in a lot of pain. Right after I got here they had me go for xrays then had me sit in waiting room. I have been waiting for over 4 hours now. I asked at the window why it was taking so long and why so many people are getting seen before me. They told me it depends on what's wrong with you. I went back up an hour later crying. I told him I am in so much pain I didnt know how much longer I could wait. He would not tell me anything just told me I had to continue to wait. I dont know what to do. I feel like I'm in a catch 22.

I was born at this hospital and have been seen here by wonderful doctors and nurses for my whole life, and have only started having these issues with the hospital for the past 3 1/2 years. I scheduled an appointment with the women’s clinic a month and a half ago. At the time I scheduled the appointment I asked which trailer the women’s clinic was and was told it was the one right next to the dental one. Come to the day of my appointment, the women’s clinic trailer is not right next to the dental one. So I called the womens clinic 6 times to ask for directions, the same number I called to schedule my appointment, and got no answer. So I called the mainline and asked them to transfer me to the women’s clinic hoping they would transfer me to a desk phone or something other than an automated message, but it was the same one. So I call the mainline again and ask if they can transfer me to the women’s clinic and I called the number that the automated message says to call if you would like to speak with someone and still no answer. I call that same number 3 more times before I gave up. So now I’m 15 minutes late because I can’t find the trailer that the women’s clinic is in so I walk into the ER wait in line to ask, only to be told “It’s back behind the hospital next to dental.” So I walked over to primary care to ask because I don’t trust that answer and she tells me it’s right next to the main hospital on the left side of the ER. So when I finally get to the women’s clinic, I’m 20 minutes late. The woman at the desk was very polite and asked me to sit down while she tried to find the nurse that my appointment was scheduled with. I sat and waited for another 15 minutes only to be told that I can be seen but only if they have a no show. They can’t tell me when, but they can call to let me know. I work 2 jobs today so that doesn’t work for me. So I told her I would call to reschedule, but I would rather go into debt getting medical care at a different hospital than come back here. The misinformed staff, no one answering phones, no one knowing phone numbers or where different clinics are located and the way making appointments is set up are the reasons why I haven’t seen my primary care doctor or been to the dentist in a few years. It’s impossible to make an appointment for anything, and even more impossible to get correct information from staff. I have always loved this hospital, but now I feel like the only reason to come here is the star clinic but even they can’t do much to help you.

I've had multiple surgeries at PIMC and use their services for all my medical needs. I've never had an issue. I've gone to the ER for a concussion, torn calf muscle, eye trauma, and a respiratory infection. Each visit has been satisfactory. Follow up appointments have been professional and the staff have treated us well. As long as you show up on time, follow their directions, and take your medications as instructed, you will be fine.

I recently gave birth at the PIMC. Kim Couch delivered my beautiful little girl and was absolutely amazing. Her sense of calm and experience in the field gave me the courage I needed to get through labor. She was wonderful, kind, and encouraging the entire time. Thank you Kim for providing my husband and I a truly wonderful experience!

Janice Brow

Had eye surgery, staff was confuse on time, and appointments.

I hear a lot of complaints, but i was always treated very well by the doctors and nurses. It's best to make an appointment first and you can do that over the phone. When there is free health care, expect that there will be delays or very long wait times, and if you don't like it, go some where else. I like bring things to keep me distracted and snacks. If i don't have to pay $200+ for medical, I'm okay with waiting.

5hours for a damn strep and flu test.... Unorganized AF, they tried giving me an x-ray three times, and taking my blood twice. Nobody knew what I had already done. Looking at me with a??? Oh you already did it? Hmm hold on... 1hour later.... Let's do it again we lost it

Currently waiting over nine hours now in ER just for results of flu swab and chest xray. Worst ER visit ever!

My husband Ronnie gets awesome care from there, great people in every department. Podiatry saved his feet and primary care has saved his life.

I have been to this facility 3 times and had great service every time. The Doctors and the staff at the Star Clinic, Pharmacy and the Dental Clinic were all great and friendly! My son has been several times as well and always receives great service. Also, I am so happy that they have the Star Clinic so that when you have to see a doctor on the weekend you don't have to wait in the ER. Thank you all making it a great experience!

Shaniee Williams

This place is the best! The Doctors and Nurses there are beyond incredible making sure they help with all of a patient's needs. Sometimes it was busy with so many people being helped it was tough being sick and waiting. They always helped so we made it to get the care we needed helping people in most danger first. They are very much the best. Thank you all so much!

Ken Harjo

Awesome Dental Clinic. Especially the denture and partial clinic. Expert technicians. Nice work. I love my teeth now.

Its A Hard Knock Life

I went to the emergency room and the ppl there rude as hell made it seem like i was bad person or something yeah wouldn't recommend going there for eny body! Very rude ppl and so i walked out and went and got better service somewere else and i did, glad i left .

Rocky Barnes

Good service except the one mental health care doctor who straight up told me adult ADD/ADHD doesn't exist. If that is true, why do I still have the same symptoms as an adult as I did as a child that qualified me for a diagnosis?

Leanna Walker

This whole facility is very unprofessional, extremely slow in every department, especially in the ER. I have kidney stones and it was painful sitting here for 8 hours. You would think they would have better service/ system going due to being in demand for the high number of Patients. They need to run their hospital like Gila River Health Center in Sacaton. They need to get on board with providing high-quality health care. They need to treat people with kindness, dignity, and respect. I overheard them in the other room saying rude remarks about a patient. I would like to know who the patient advocate is because they definitely need to work on this issue to help and support us fellow tribal members to receive the compassionate and considerate care we deserve.

Julie Gilbert

Am so grateful for this place. I get almost all my medical needs met here I love that because I can then receive coordinated care. I like my doctors and the medical staff and feel I am getting excellent care.

Describe my experience at PIMC...If I could give it a "no star" I'd would. I just moved to Phoenix and I am a native blood. I heard of PIMC how bad the services they provide but I never been to the place so I couldn't judge. I did come to the PIMC's ER for abdominal pain on a Friday 8:45PM, did my insurance application in time, waited, then waited and kept on waiting I ask the front desk person how long is the wait but the person was very rude and says, their backed up and told me to sit. Well I didn't get seen until 10:30AM the next morning - that's just disgusting. When I did get called to be seen, unbelievable. The Staff's attitude in customer services, OMG, it is horrible! When I was able to see the doctor, it took them 20 mins then told me to make an appt with a provider and out the door. So 13 hours to wait and 20 mins to be seen. Hmmm i'd say horrible experience and their service is horrible. They need to be accountable not the patients fault. PIMC's customer services is very horrible. Today, I go to Gila River, I'd drive a distance for better services and customer services.

heven 652

PIMC is absolutely ridiculous! The waiting time is terrible, I can't believe how this place is still existing. There is no one that greets you or even tends to your aid even when you are in pain. ER is just a joke, keeping patients there the whole day while the staff sits around or crowds around talking to other staff while patients wait in the ER room in pain.

Chastity Yazzie

Always have good service. I have recently been taking my children to the peds department. Although the sign in receptionist, male, is always rude and abrupt when you sign in, everyone else's courtesy and attention makes up for it. I have been to the dental clinic and every visit was great!! Good staff and dentists. As for the ER, what do you expect? It's the Emergency Room. Obviously they will tend to the sicker patients before the people with a cough or labs results. That is why they have their clinics (primary, peds, express care). The coughs, follow ups, lab results visits are not what the Emergency Room is for, but the fact is that's what people use it for... so you may have to wait for someone with more severe conditions to be seen first. Anyway - always fair to good service from staff who are doing the best they can with the limited resources they have. Thank you all!

No One

If I could give this place a negative I would. Horrible customer service, staff nurses and doctors would rather chat to each other than to give immediately service in the emergency center. What a joke of a place. They would leave ppl in pain and not treat them for more than a hour.

sailor precure

I tired many times to get help for an appointment. All i got was attitude and no answers after being transferred. They dont care!

Achee Winnie

It's a great hospital. It's not a new facility but it's ran pretty efficiently.

Christine Herrera

Pimc pharmacy was amazing tonight. 5 stars to Vivian and team. After a long day of work I expected to go to the pharmacy and wait for hours on end and I was in-and-out in under 20 minutes. I was struggling with the automated system and when I went in Vivian was so helpful and kind and pushed my order through without hesitation. Best experience ever.

Katelynn Clouse

This is my second in a row awful experience here. (The last time I put a complaint in with an advocate also)I’m currently still waiting to even be seen by a dr or nurse or anyone to help my pain 3 hours LATER in my room. I came in at 3:30 am with SEVERE chest and back pain. Hard to breath! I’m 27. I’m not a drug user. I got sent to labs for urine and blood tests. I left there at 4:00 and went back to the lobby and was called back at like 4:30am and put in a room. From 4:30-6:30 ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CAME.At this time I had already told 2 people my pain level is a 8 already by the way. So. At this point I have no IV for fluids. Nothing for pain. No xrays or ultra sound on my chest to monitor the chest pain and/or breathing. It is 6:52 am and I have had the nurse and someone else come in in the past 20 minutes. Both asked about my pain level again. My pain is so high at this point I’m getting nauseous.(I have a history of uncontrollably committing when my pain level is too high; like for kidney stones that I get).... so at this point I’m about to go to another hospital and actually get help on this to make the pain stop. I couldn’t care less if I get pain meds or not; I do however want answers so this unbearable pain goes away. Update: dr came in. Very nice man.he is now sending me for ekg and chest x Ray. Update: DR. Smith is the dr.’s name that attended to me when shift change had occurred. All the new staff was amazing. So it seems as though their night shift/early morning crew needs to be re-evaluated because it’s not going well with them. But happy with the new staff that came on shift and took care of everything very quickly!

Dr. RIBNIK is a very nice pediatrician. Nurses move fast and very patient and nice. The rez needs more nurses and Dr's like them

Briggetta Hawks

I have been going to PIMC since I moved to Phoenix 8 years ago. Although I have other insurance, I continue to use this facility because of the staff and interaction with others. The only complaint I have is the switch board operators. Very unprofessional. They answer and transfer. Customer Service is their job.

Mo betta Blues

Whoever answers the phones does a horrible job.

Get out medical fast from the ER

Wade Anthony Cadman

Great place to stop by and get checked. I got checked just so I can keep partying. People tell me to slow down, but I take it as speed up... Cuz theres 24 hours in a day so you gotta keep your kitty hand Strong ✋ =^-^=

Tiffany Edwards

Everyone complains about the wait time and bad customer service. I have been going here for as long as I can remember. If you are nice and patient with them they will be nice and patient with you. That is how human interactions work. I'm very thankful for the work they do especially for those who don't have the money to seek primary care on a regular basis. No matter how many times you go expect a wait. They are busy treating other people like you and deserve the benefit of the doubt. Often times they have an estimated time in the clinic and that helps wonders. I do like the improvements they have been making of late. Please please keep it up!

anshe 88

I'm going to experience this hospital for the first time with my son. I will comment on the visit and rate it in a few days. I've gone through and read all the reviews. I hope most of the issues have been addressed as of April 2018. Very interesting experiences written..good and bad, but mostly bad. **Recent 2 visits went well..don't have any problems to report. I am just thankful and grateful these services are available.

melissa clinton

I hated the experience(s) I have had with the Women's Clinic Clerical Staff. The HUGE lady at the front was annoyed when I did not have documentation with me for my first appointment. When I schedule the appointment over the phone they never asked for me to bring any documents to my appointment. Secondly I called to schedule a follow up procedure and was not able to contact any individual for one week because the Womens health clinic said I needed to speak to Janice (who retired and is no longer working) and she was the only person who could schedule this appointment. In my opinion these clerical ladies are rude and are do not show compassion and empathy to those seeking medical attention.

We have *always* had excellent care from peds to adult care. The DOWNFALL is the emergency room. The wait time is absurd. People I swear, go for a flippen hang nail. We have never walked by where it has not been pack, people out the door. I'm not sure if it's under staffed or what the issue is. The second down fall is we live in the East Valley and it's not a short drive in the least. Other that, we've had excellent care.

Marlyce Gala

I been trying to schedule an appointment here for 3 weeks n they say call n call from 1-4 till they answer n they tell u its all full u can not schedule until next monday the same way

laughs a lot

You spend a whole day there for an appointment. And if your pretty the Native women are Mean and Yell at you. But the doctors/men are nice. And complaining doesn't help because nothing has changed what so Ever.True story, It's been going on as long as I have been going there, so basically all my life since 1967!! #RezzedOut #JealousBitches #Setinthereways #VenusQueen >> #OftheIHS!! #Sickening

Cheri Smith

I have had nothing but excellent care here. From doctors to staff I haven't had any experiences that have been even slightly negative. You have to be patient getting in at first, but once you're in the system things move along at a reasonable rate. I have a long drive out of town to get here, and it's well worth it!

Brianna Smith

For the first time in a long time I had a great experience at the Star Clinic. Thanks to Kelvin Coleman, I was well taken care of. Also, a nurse but sadly I didn’t get the chance to get her name. Definitely need more doctors and nurses like them!

Maria Justin

This place is horrible. Guess you have to be actually dieing in order to be seen.

Airin Castro

If I could give this place no stars I would. Every time I come to this place for a family member they take HOURS I mean 3-4 hours to get you out with ibuprofen

Van Luc

Awesome staff and service, always asked if my insurance is current if not they provide info to help you get assistants, after the paperwork and seeing the doctor it was great, no needles or inside medication, was offered ibuprofen for pain but decided to decline it for other people who need it. If your kid is hurt maybe the parents to to be trained on how to watch their children and provide better hygiene. A lady and her child was not far from where I was sitting and her child had pooped and the lady didn't bother to change the child. Poor kid I don't know why people who can't be good parents have kids.

Ronnie Stump

LOVE THIS HOSPITAL!!! Best care ever!!!

Jesse Hinshaw

Rude staff, zero stars

Shawna Johnson

I've been waiting since 1:30 pm with my mother for her to be seen in the Emergency Room. It is now 8:27 pm and we are still waiting. I truly hate this place but my mother's medical records are with I H S. This place sucks.

Gail Crittenden

PIMC is a wonderful facility, they are prompt, professional and compassionate. I recently went to the ER and the wait wasn't to long. Of course they see people with the most serious problem first. When you go to Primary Care they have a sign, if you've waited more then 10 min let us know. I've never had a problem with anyone there.

Kay Lonni

They are always rude. And have attitude they also don't do there job . And womans clinic phone service is horrible they hang up on u and don't answer phones. This hospital needs alot of help and a new management .

Farnando Tso

Nobody works there, on Indian time.

ariia h

I love the Women's Clinic at PIMC, I chose to have my kids here over a number of other hospitals much closer to where I live in Gilbert. The Clinic has 10 midwives on staff, a benefits coordinator on-site, a nutritionist on-site, very qualified, kind, and encouraging lactation specialists and they all offer a ton of resources along with answers to my questions. The nurses are kind and take their time with patients during their appointment. I come here for ob/gyn as well as pre natal care. One of the doctors followed up with me via phone and even text after an appt. I'm extremely confident in the staff and honestly believe they look out for our well being and are there to help. Sometimes a particular lady at the front desk can come off as rude, but there are cultural factors, that I understamd, and never take personally. I love the service I receive at this Clinic, and hospital. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone looking for quality care.
