Front desk people could use some training on compassion. I understand they have to deal with us “crazy vets,” but really please have some empathy.

Mismanagement at its worst. Staff of 6 talk to us like we are garbage. I took them food and coffee for 3 years and the first time I needed their help they turned on me. I have never met a more dictatorial, condescending, untalented, vicious ugly group of people and their hatred for us is plain to see. Their supervisors hide in their offices 100 miles away and their tone is pure condescension and I wonder who hires these overpaid knuckleheads. Abusive, no regard for the client and they work for us...I cannot allow my Marines to come into such an unsecured area and these thin skinned, easily offended, ruthless who take everything as a threat. I stood up for us vets and they call CHRIS HUMMEL AND BARBARA OMECKE IN PRESCOTT AND THEY STEAL MY BENEFITS FOR 2 YEARS AND 4 YEARS LATER, AFTER A BUNCH OF NEEDLES IN MY BACK AND NECK, THEY LOST MY RECORDS AND I STILL DONT KNOW HOW BIG THE TUMOR IS. I TAKE THIS AS A LIFE THREATENING ATTACK ON MY PERSONAL SAFETY. AGAIN, A SMALL GROUP DECIMATE OUR QUALITY OF HEALTHCARE. SORRY ABOUT ALL CAPS BUT HELL YES, IM YELLING....THIS HAS GOT TO STOP.

There is no real doctor at this facility. NO DOCTOR! YOU WILL WAIT A MONTH TO SEE A NURSE WHO THEN WILL RECOMMEND FOR THE VA TO GET YOU AN APPOINTMENT WITH A REAL DOCOTR. THAT RECOMMENDATION WILL TAKE 15-30 DAYS TO GET APPROVED. IT WILL TAKE TWO MONTHS TO SEE A DOCTOR WHO WILL THEN RECOMEND TO THE VA YOU SEE A SPECIALIST. THAT WILL TAKE 15-30 DAYS. THIS FACILITY HAS RUINED MY LIFE. They have down played my injuries until they got horribly worse. Then I have had to get EMERGENCY SURGERY because the VA is so dragged down by this CBOC.

Don't know how good the care was because I couldn't get any! Was coming to Flagstaff from California. I walked in to get a flu shot and an doctor appointment. My facility in CA said Flagstaff would be able to pull my file right up. But the snippy woman at the front desk in Flagstaff insisted they could not do that, I had to either fill out a paper form reapplying for VA benefits, or apply online for benefits. Flash forward 2 months. I completed online form for benefits in AZ. I immediately got a response saying thanks for applying for benefits in California!!! VA Help line had no idea what was going on when I'd just applied for AZ benefits, but transferred me to Prescott Benefits Eligibility office. Who confirmed that what they told me in CA was right: the Flagstaff clinic could have transferred my records over in literally 2 minutes, with no reapplication necessary, and that furthermore they have told the Flagstaff clinic staff that several times, but the people that man the front desk @ Flagstaff clinic can't be bothered to do their job. Front desk staff needs to either be replaced or retrained to do a conscientious job, because they are clearly NOT doing one now.

Before I start with what I witnessed today. There are a few excellent people here. Yet there are 2 that ruin everything for everyone. Front desk clerk [navajo woman] & one nurse are horrible and rude. Witnessed today a vet get humiliated in front of 10 people in the waiting area. An elderly man tried to sign in on the computer for an appointment which quit working. He then stood behind another man being helped at the front desk. She raised her voice loudly at him, "Go stand behind the sign, didn't you see it!?". The man replied, "no I didn't" and in shock. He stood on the right of the sign down another aisle of chairs and she yelled from 15 feet away, "BEHIND THE SIGN". 5 minutes earlier I was standing where he was on the right of it, and she didn't yell at me? Even today I was treated rudely by a nurse. It was the first time I went to their medical part of this facility. I asked a simple question and she pointed up towards the wall. "Did you read the sign?" I said "No this is my first time being here." I don't care how people treat me, but treat an 80 year old man like garbage? Plus by a twenty year old women? I won't tolerate that one bit. I am reporting these 2 people to the Office of the Inspector General of Veterans Affairs. If you've had any other issues with staff here, please do the same.

Terrible place!! Heavy set guy at front desk is the most condescending service person I have ever met. Megan does nothing to help or talks like she is reading from a script. Felt like all they were trying to do was fill what ever quotas helped keep their jobs. Place is a joke please someone do an audit of this place.

People at the Front Desk are pitifully ignorant of the system and could care less! Use your Medicare and get treated by a legitimate medical facility.

Been there, service is great better than outside the VA. Have watched other veteran demand and not being to polite of the staff as they explain this is a doctors office! For what most needed they had to contact Prescott and as far as no doctors I will take there 2 provider over most doctors any day

seems like no one here knows what actually goes on in their own office of about 6 people. many can’t answer simple questions. the mentality of it’s not my job is very prevalent in this location. just going to do the min appts i need for my disability here. thanks gawd for va choice. if you have your own insurance, use that instead.

The people in front office will do everything in their power to belittle and deny benefits that we as veterans are entitled to. Every time I have called to seek any treatment, assistance or services I am told I don't need any help or the provider may only be available in 3 or 4 weeks. I asked what if I needed to see a provider sooner for my copd. I was told it better be an emergency or have other insurance. I told this moron I was a Registered Nurse and he refuted this as well. Heaven help our veterans. I am ashamed of our country and our VA system. We deserve better, I know I have given better in my service and my practice as an emergency department RN

Scott Radman, the deceitful employee on staff who posted here and 1 of the 4 people who decimate the quality of healthcare at this facility and this post of his is supposed to put him as just a vet....this behavior is just a small part of the vet hating dismissive, disgusting way this facility operates. PAM Bahler, a so called doctor, is the most abusive of all and looks like she just climbed out of a dumpster and won't let us finish a sentence and to think that people like this are in charge of the future of our healthcare...my God folks!!!!THIS IS THE OBAMA HOLDOVER SYNDROME AT ITS WORST. ITS LIKE THE CRAZIES RUNNING THE ASYLUM. TINA AT the front desk drags her UGLY life into the job daily and sets a vicious tone for the abuse and disrespect you will endure while there. Raising her voice and shutting the window in your face is just for starters. Linda, who comes out eye rolling and looks and acts like a witch from the dark ages with her childish silent treatment walks you into what feels like a death panel and teams up with PAM emitting gaseous OTHERWORLDLY sounds and passive aggressive agreement with what ever PAM of the flies says. AND Scott, who barred me from appt. In front of the entire waiting veterans for my properly registered military service dog that people wait in line to pet wherever we go, is hated by these sociopaths. So I called the police and they went in and straightened it out cuz this is a veterans facility and they work for us. So they called CHRIS HUMMEL IN PRESCOTT AND HE FLAGGED MY FILE FOR 2 YEARS AND THIS IS HOW THEY HANDLE OUR ISSUES...LEGALLY SPEAKING THEY HAVE MISHANDLED MY CASE FROM DAY 1 BASED ON 3 OF 6 MRI IMAGES MEANING ONLY 3 TURNED OUT AND THATBWAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM, AT 34 DAYS I STILL HAD NOT HAD A 2ND MRI AND I FOUND OUT PAM HADNT ORDERED ONE SO I DID IT FOR HER...SO FOR 34 DAYS I SLEPT 26 HOURS WITH NO PAIN MEDS AND I HAD TO STAND AND SIT ALL NITE DUE TO SEARING PAIN. THIS PERSON COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS...I MADE A SCENEBUT DIDNOT THREATEN ANYBODY...THEY SAID I HAD A KNIFE WHICH I MADE THEM AWARE OF ANDPUT IT IN THE CAR. OLD LADIES CARRY GUNS AND KNIVES HERE CUZ ITS AN OPEN CARRY STATE AND WE ARE IN A NATIONAL FOREST AND MY DOG HAS BEEN ATTACKED BY COYOTES. SO HERE I AM STILL NO SURGERY DUE TO MALPRACTICE AT ITS SICKEST. THIS HORRIBLE GROUP OF PEOPLE BLOCK US FROM ANY HEALTHCARE IN ALL OF NORTHERN ARIZONA FOR 2 YEARS WITHOUT HEARING THEVETERANS SIDE. THEY LIE AND STRETCH THE TRUTH TO THEIR ADVANTAGE AND HAVE NO REGARD FOR US..AND HELL YES, IM YELLING!!!!!

The middle aged native woman that does the labs/front desk is very condescending and confrontational. She threatened to cancel my appointment because I couldn't make it in for bloodwork, even though i had spoken to her four days prior informing her i couldn't make it in for a blood draw due to my work schedule, and she stated that would be okay. My appointment was for lower back pain, and totally unrelated to blood work. When I arrived for my appointment she said next time I don't do labs she will cancel my appointment. What a terrible experience, she is very unprofessional and makes it very difficult to continue to go to this clinic. If you have other options for your care, do not use this clinic. I will also be placing a formal complaint about this woman. The provider was pleasant and attended to my needs as a patient, the assistant that took my vitals was very informative and nice.
