*BEWARE this hospital does not ensure that their emergency physicians are covered by major insurance providers or what the facility is contracted with and allows patients to be taken advantage of!!!! We have Aetna and received care for a kidney stone here. We are being balance billed even though went to in network facility, the ER physician is out of network and expected to pay $1500+ just to walk in once and give him pain medicine and transfer to floor. Will be going elsewhere for any future events but hopefully won't ever need services again.

Excellent service. The nurses were very quick and looked overworked but were somehow able to give me the attention and care I needed after surgery. The service in radiology CT, mri, were excellent and caring. I would give a 5 out of five. I trust this hospital.

I suffered a herniated spinal disk. After coming two this hosputal i was released 2 days later with no medical care provided. Just alot of empty promises.

Very slow nurses on fourth floor anf rude. But the nurses in er are so nice and helpful.

I recently spent 10 days here. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is due to the fact I was pretty disappointed in wait time, even after procedures were already schedule. I spent 2 hours waiting for a scheduledprocedure one day, and it was a tad aggravating, to say the least. Every Dr I encountered was wonderful, with the exception of "Dr. S'. The nurses and techs in tower 1, 4th floor were beyond exceptional. Their kindness,, care and genuine concern got me through an otherwise scary, serious situation. They are the unsung heroes. I witnessed them deal with verbal abuse from nasty patients ,yet never waiver from their dedication to providing the best care possible, to these said patients. I for one, am extremely grateful for the care I received.

Had we known that our cancer doctor doesn’t have priveledges here we wouldn’t have come, but we found out after day 2 and couldn’t move her at that point. My grandma originally went to the ER Tuesday night due to extreme discomfort from fluid filling her abdomen. She was not drained until Thursday afternoon. From there she was moved to the telemetry unit. They were pumping her with IV fluids so her stomach was filling up again. They said they would drain her again on Friday but it was cancelled around 6pm and she was forced to suffer through the weekend. The nurses tried their best but the doctors and nurses were not communicating with one another. There was a lot of other issues, but I’m sick of writing.

My husband and I went into the ER ...As soon as we walked in it felt weird. I should mention we're latinos (the ONLY Latinos there that day)The security guard wouldn't stop staring my husband down even went so far as to ask whether he was from The US! Yep. If you can believe that! I was called into one of the rooms by the nurse so he could assess my problem. And he kept asking if I was carrying any drugs or weapons while eyeing my bag. I said no I even offered up my bag so he would stop(which I didnt have to do) So I go back to the wait room and security called the Cop on premises and he brought a dog with him. He obviously didnt find ANYTHING!! As we walked down the hall one of the nurses kept making faces and even commented to another one of the nurses about us. My nurse was rude. The ONLY personable one there was the registration lady. Its disgusting how innapropriate they behaved. If you feel some sort if way about people than nursing isn't the job for you.

I don't know about the actual hospital, but I just left the ER where my mother has been and is still currently in room 18 since 1pm today 6/20/17. 8 hours to try and find her a room.. and still nothing??? Seriously?? Staff have been telling her for the last 2 shifts that later on they will check into getting her off the gurney and have an actual bed brought into the ER room for her if she's going to be there long.. when is later? And how long is long?? It's already been over 8 hours!! Oh, and there's been a dude wearing black shorts and grey shirt about 45-50 years old laying on a gurney In the hallway since about 5pm.. it's now 945 pm... the floors are filthy and the room my mom is in is filthy. Garbage and medical wrappers on the floor in her room that are from a previous patient before her. No floor has been sweat or moped in this ER all day.. floors are balck, major dirt build up in the corners and huge amount of dust hanging from the fire sprinklers... I am wondering how this place passes it's inspections.. I think I'll be doing some research to see who does this facility inspections like quad-a or osha.. this place is not big on sanitation in any way shape or form... better off going to thunderbird hospital, mayo...

I’m surprised this place has such a low rating. It made me a little nervous about going here. But honestly this was the best hospital I’ve ever been to. I went to the ER and ended up staying 4 days. All of the staff I interacted with were awesome and so friendly. All of my nurses and techs were amazing no matter what ward I was in (I moved around a few times). My hospitalist Dr. Zitar was so nice along with my GI specialist. This was the first hospital where I had a specialist actually try and figure out the root of a problem I’ve had for years instead of just giving up. If I do have to go back to a hospital again, this is the only place I want to go now. Thank you to all of the staff who helped me these past few days ❤️

My husband was taken by ambulance in early January to this hospital as it was the closest to us. He had suffered a stroke in the front yard of our home. All his information, ID and insurance details had been provided to the ambulance crew. The ambulance crew told me to wait half an hour before following down as he would have to go in to CT. I waited the half hour then drove the half hour it takes to get there. No one could find my husband, they even told me he must still be en route. I was asked to wait in the not very pleasant waiting room. After ten minutes I started to dial the ambulance company to find out if they had redirected my husband mid journey to another hospital, when the security guard came out and told me they had found my husband and brought me to him. He was ambulatory before he left our home and was cognizant of time and place. I have no idea why then he was admitted as a John DOE, but very obviously the reason why he could not be found. When I was taken back to the exam room he was in tele conference with a doctor. I asked the doctor to begin again so I could know what was going on. He did. We agreed to the treatment regime advised and were told my husband had to be admitted to ICU for 24 hours due to the potential risks of the treatment. He was admitted. He ended up having a major stroke the following morning whilst still in the CCU, after just being cleared to go home. Best place to have one I am sure, He was in patient in ICU for another 8 days and then in PCCU for 3 days. The CCU staff was great. PCCU a whole different story, I think this is where they transfer patients to die. My issue and reason for writing this review is that during his stay we were not given choices or asked about who should provide treatment to him. We were "lucky" the hospital is a preferred provider for our health plan, but unfortunately a lot of the people who attended to him were not. This was not conveyed to us during his stay or at any time afterwards until the bills started showing up. Several bills showed up from various providers. The company names they billed under were vague and often being billed from out of state. Once I made calls, found out who the provider was and what role they played, their bills were paid. Most of the initial bills of course went to our deductible. Not knowing who all was part of the bigger picture I had no idea who to chase or find out if they had been paid so I was "stuck" waiting to get bills. We were sent to collections for two of the providers, who we had paid in full once we got their bills, their offices just failed to apply our payments. Not an experience I wish to have again.

I would like to recommend that anyone with a child needing to be seen at the ER here see my review for the pediatric ward at this very location before doing so. Our experience was unsettling to say the least.

Richard Reilly

Absolutely no service noticed this on most of their reviews. Dont seem to care much

Charlene Ivicevic

The doctors at this hospital are the most rude, blunt, and uncompassionate that I have ever seen anywhere. My sister was told her son was dying on the phone!! Doctor couldn't even take the time to come and tell her in person! The nurse said he was one of the best neurologists around but there's more to being a good doctor than just being knowledgeable, bedside manner counts for a lot. I work in a funeral home and our deceased's families and the deceased are treated with a whole lot more dignity and compassion than we were at this hospital. The two stars that I gave were for the two excellent nurses we had. They took excellent care of my nephew and had a lot of compassion for him and his family. I personally will NEVER let myself be taken to this hospital!

Tewana Smith

Have been going to this hospital for the past 19 years. For my whole family's emergency care. From the time we walk in the staff is very caring and attentive. Recently we had to use the surgical staff and in-patient staff. They made me feel safe and aware of everything that was being done. It was a quick stay, with short waits.

Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! My wife was in the hospital for nausea, upset stomach, and abdominal pain. They had her morphine and oxycodine for her pain and after two days they discharged her saying it was just stomach flu. She was back the next day and stayed another 4 nights and they still said it was stomach flu. They discovered sludge in her gall bladder and tried to pass it with a dietary solution but said if the sludge didn't pass they would have to do surgery. Next morning the sludge was still there but they said they didn't need to operate. They still felt it was stomach flu. Needless to say we went and got a second opinion which resulted in getting surgery to remove the gall bladder which relieved all symptoms. Turns out her gall bladder was TWICE the size it normally should be. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Banner Thunderbird is 15 min away and much much much better. I will say thought the nursing staff is A++++++ they were attentive, kind, and very caring. That was the ONLY positive of Dishonor Health

Erica Spence

Been waiting in waiting room for 8 hours now This is the worst place!!

Lynda Tanner

Received outstanding, quick care for a kidney stone. Left there with a report in hand showing me more about my health than a half dozen doctors over the last 2 yrs. I am impressed!! Great staff and caretakers. And they were dealing with some crazy stuff while I was there but managed to concentrate on my immediate comfort.

Menaa F

Great place and has very caring and nice staff members, but you have to wait a long time to get into an actual room. But once you're in there, things start moving faster. I have been to the ER here multiple times and I will still go here. I'm going to volunteer here next summer.

Beautiful Angel

This isn't a hospital its a school for people in training, some nurese are nice then you have rude, careless ones. They hardly check on paitence, they take things out of rooms cause they don't have enough supplies for other rooms. WORST PLACE TO GO,"DEATH VALLEY HORRIBLE" They also had a couple of bloody gauzes stuck on the floor with medical tape and blood stains smeared on the floor, plus they sent someone with a broken bone home with no pain medication, what the hell ?

Alicia Garcia

Best ER experience I have ever had! I can not say enough good things about my visit. Great staff, timely care, comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jason Gittman

This review pertains specifically to the ER. An ER is only as good as its providers and it seems as most of its providers are not physicians in this ER, but mid-levels who have not had any specialty training in ER or any other specialty. The nurse practitioner I had seen was evidence of this. I had a fairly simple problem which she managed to screw up. I had a cactus thorn embedded in my knee. At first she ordered an X-ray, even though I told her that like wooden splinters, cactus thorns do not show up on ordinary X-rays. Then she ordered a CT of the knee which did show the thorn in my knee. When I asked her for something for pain, she offered ibuprofen, apparently unaware the this drug is contraindicated in a medical condition I have. When I informed her of that, she said, OK, Tylenol. When I told her Tylenol, was not helping the severe pain, she said, "OK, nothing." After it was proven that there was a cactus thorn embedded in my knee, I asked her if she knew how to use ultrasound to locate it. She said she did not so I left and went to see and orthopedic surgeon to have it removed the next day. I'm sure some of the providers are excellent, but not the NP I saw.

Our family has been using this facility for years. It was always our hospital of choice when needed. In the last 2 years my husband has had some serious medical issues and has used the ER multiple times and has been admitted twice. Once admitted we have had great service, some pretty amazing nurses and stellar medical care. My issue is with the ER department. It is HORRIBLE!! The staff is rude and dismissive. The wait times are beyond ridiculous and cruel. 6-7+ hours to help people in excruciating pain or the extremely I'll. Standing room only in the waiting room. I understand that they recently upgraded their trauma ER status and this is causing a shortage of rooms/ beds, but they are leaving other patients suffering and waiting for way to long. Something needs to change. I have been currently waiting with my son in the waiting room for over 5 hours while he's vomiting in severe pain. There were 3 people waiting when we arrived. There are now at least 25. This is not the first time we have waited like this but unfortunately it will be the last. If you want efficient and empathetic treatment this is not the place to come.

I use to like this Hospital but my last visit to the ER last week, it felt more like an assembly line. Hurry, hurry, hurry, Go,go go. Even though I was there 3 hrs. The person who ordered the MRI. I'm assuming was the Dr.When they read me my results they found nothing wrong with me. I went in for shoulder pain level was at a level 8. I also had no insurance. They ended up giving me an xray not a MRI as ordered. Which showed nothing wrong. I left with fake shoulder pain. I didn't like therw service.

Juanita Quezada

When I arrived to room 408 the receptionist was rude to me and tried to force me to sign papers. Elin, the receptionist, did not want to check to see if my insurance would cover my appointment; instead she told me to read the papers that were on the counter and I told her I wasn’t going to sign the papers until I found out if my insurance covered my visit because then if she would’ve done that I would’ve signed. She only had an attitude with me and no one else.

The ER. Their only reason for being there is to stabilize you or give a patch job and send you on your way. If you expect more than that, you will always be let down no matter where you go. Are they busy? YES. Will you sometimes have to wait hours on end? YES. People complain about wait times without truly understanding triage. In my opinion, if you are well enough to complain then maybe you shouldn't be there. I think for an ER they do an excellent job of moving patients through as quickly as possible (and I've been to a lot of ER's!) I've always had kind, compassionate professionals at my side no matter what their job was. Sure, there's always room for improvement but that's with anything you do or anywhere you go. LOVE your nurses, they do more for you than you think. (No I'm not affiliated, just realistic.)

I will start by saying absolutely Amazing and professional Staff & Doctors. I was there for 2 and a 1/2 days. After a heart attack. And the care was the best I ever received. Beyond my imagination. I'm so thankful for all the people there that truly care about the people that come in with emergencies. The doctors explained everything far more thoroughly than was necessary. But they wanted to make sure that I was understanding everything. Very thorough as well. THANKS to all in the E.R. For your Quick and Great Care. Thanks to Dr Duong. And the many other Doctors. My Nurses in the ICU: Dan, Courtney And Matt. You are all My Hero's Now. But above all that I thank the Lord for getting me through it all. God-bless you all.

I wash I could give no stars cause of my horrible experience here. I went there 2 times within a few days cause my symptoms were getting worse even after my medication and treatment recommend. When I was there the nurse and the doctor both told me, and I quote, "there is nothing wrong with you, you are delusional"..then proceeded to ask me if I was on hard core drugs. I left there crying cause I was so upset that this is how they treated me. They wouldn't even look as what I thought was the problem. Just kept telling me I don't take care of myself and they won't give me pain meds to "dope me up". I told the staff that I wasn't even interested in the pains meds anyways. I will never recommend this hospital to anybody after the way the staff there treated me.

Awesome hospital. The nurses to the doctor. My dad has been admitted there twice and I gotta say is the best one. However, THE HOSPITALIST whatever her name was is cold-hearted and evil and has no understanding of what is like having an ill dad with a very bad disease. My dad has just been diagnosed with bad EMPHYSEMA - type of CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE by the doctors there and he’s a Welder which makes it even worse. He just got realeazed and I asked them to give my dad a doctors letter to take to work that says that he needs to take 1 week off work to recover because welding is bad for copd but that stupid lady came back saying THERES NO REASON WHY SHE SHOULD NOT BE GOING BACK TO WORK. Are you kidding me? Some doctors take the oath to save life’s just for the money and don’t care what others go through. She just cares about her $200,000+ check. I hope she never goes through what I am going through with me dad because the money she makes will not be enough to save her dad’s life. I am very disappointed. My dad is exposed to gases, vapors, and dust which are the main causes, of COPD episodes that keep taking my dad to the hospital. And she comes back saying that. Very selfish and evil. What costs her to write that letter? Nothing. She’s a doctor. She knows what causes COPD problems. I am got extremely sad when I got her response.

I had an outpatient procedure done and was in and out in 4ish hours. Everyone was so nice and everything went smoothly. My nurses were very sweet and genuine. I felt at ease with their hospitality and they put my nerves at rest. Someone called today to make sure I was okay and getting better. I've never had such amazing service from a hospital.

The entire Honor Health system needs to be shut down. My mother was brought into the ER for a stroke. It was like pulling teeth to even find a doctor to talk to, let alone get any answers. No one was attending to her and I was constantly running out in the halls to get help for her. While she was there, they ran a battery of tests on her, all the while, missing the very large fact that she had stage 4 cancer. 2 more different honor health's down the road finally caught that(about 3 months later). If I would have had a say, I would never have set her back into another honor health again. Don't go to any Honor Health Hospital. Anything but honorable health care. A joke. I've been in great functioning hospitals before with wonderful staff members. This doesn't even come close.

Meghaen Duger

This was by far the worst hospital I have every experienced. The ER was dirty, the hospital said they ran out of bottled water, they didn’t have food to go through a feeding tube so we had to bring it in from home and the supplies, the nurse denied my mother a shower saying the water on the hospital isn’t warm. I could go on, but honestly never bring someone you care to this hospital.

Julie Owens

I don't know who all these whiners are but Honor Health is the BEST hospital and cleanest hospital. They have the happiest staff. They always take care of me and make me well again. Their food is good and food services is very friendly. I go in sick and not eating I go out happy and full. Apparentely these whiners have never been to St Joseph or Banner Good Samaritan. There is 2 filthy hospitals. You can be there a week and not one time will they come clean your room and everybody is unhappy there.

Rachel Grace

I was here early Monday morning with a really bad sprained ankle. I wasn't sure if I had broke it or if it was only a sprain when I arrived. But it was pretty clear my foot was deformed and swollen looking. The lady at the front desk was nice. But I feel like the hospitals have all gone down hill. Not just honor health but banner as well. I don't understand why I can hear medical professionals talking about a patient who was supposed to be taking her suboxone and was on heroin instead. This is not appropriate for everyone to hear in the meantime I'm at a level 8 of pain because I waited a couple hours to go in. The reason I waited is because I hate going in the first place. So while I lay in pain I hear about the couple of patients there but nobody bothered to even give me an ibuprofen or the most common thing you give a sprain or injury to the foot a pack of ice while waiting for a doctor. Then while I'm still in pain they have 2 x ray techs come in and move me in all kinds of uncomfortable positions to get the x ray they needed, they made me feel more like an object than a human. They just wanted to get it over with instead actually caring about why I was there . This would have been easier if I had been given something to bring the pain and swelling down. Then after an hour or so of x rays being done the doctor comes in and while looking at the giant lump on the top of my foot he asked me where it hurt? Geez I don't know take a guess? He then informs me it's a bad sprain and orders a bandage and boot with crutches. They finally gave me something for the pain right when they released me. As I tried to walk on the crutches the nurse said sorry it's probably really painful because the pain meds haven't kicked in. Haha yeah at least she was smart she also bandaged me and gave me an ice pack. This was at 4 am when I arrived nobody was really there I get that I can't see everything going on but is it that hard to get someone an ice pack when their ankle is 4 x's the normal size if you're gonna make them wait forever. I would say this place has gone downhill since I last had to go there. I think for now on even if I break my foot I'll just stay home. I could have given myself better treatment on one limb. Why doesn't anyone care. Seriously I don't complain ever and I'm the easiest patient. This was just one of those bad visits where nobody cared about the patient at all. Also please abide by the hippa laws. I worked in medical records and we never talked about our patients. EVER!

Mindy Nathenson

I was in the hospital for almost 3 days for a double mastectomy. All of the nurses and the nurse assistants were wonderful and very kind. Even the housekeeping women was a sweetheart. Room was very nice as well.

troy holland

We where here for 3 hours in The waiting Room And a man comes in with a bloody leg and has to wait 45 minutes to be seen They said a comes by medical emergency emergency really??!! Got in a Room and had a wait another hour for a doctor last time I'm coming here......

Jerry Adams

I actually came here a while back and I was dizzy and hard to breath, they got me right in quickly, I was in the back in 15 min, the nurses were all nice and prompt, they ran many tests, chest X-ray's, ekg, blood work, and more, the the Dr his first name Ronald came and spoke with me, I've never met a Dr that didn't rush, but actually cared, he went through all the tests, treated me as a person and told me he really thought it was anxiety , I was skeptical at first cuz I felt like I was dying, he prescribed a medication for me for anxiety and it fixed the whole problem, I'd always go back here if I ever need to go anywhere

Adam Boswell

The floor manager kept dabbling with the time of giving pain meds, when I most seriously in pain... the main nurses are not treating my pain. My pelvic was crushed in four places. The main nurse tell the assistance nurse to change the time by adding 2.5 hrs longer the paitence have to wait in order to get any sign of relief from pain! I wouldn't recommend Honor Health due to their poor leadership based on their personal opinion based on the cover of the book. I am in excruciating pain crying and they stretched out the time for 2.5hrs longer for my wait on my last day! I have 6 major injuries. Mostly broken bones. And my time limite of stay was exactly one week, 2 days.. I was more than kind to the employees and employers. Others that lack experience were not there to help people get well! But to only work for the greed without empathy and sympathy of many paitence... It bothers me, that I could not report any of the bad flaws some employees due to the fact others made decisions based on personal opinions labeling the paitence... My pain level were unbearable that none of the doctors and nurses could fathom my situation. They wanted to play drug dealers instead of understanding the pain people are really going through. I am greatful of the surgeon who put me together but I am not impressed of the lack of integrity these nurse making decisions dabbling around the timetable for paitence to get treatment base on their time. Sincerely from good paitence going on strike lacking sleep and comfort from HonorHealth

Ehdy Garseah

I would like to keep this short and sweet. Doctor Scott Havens & nurse Ryan thank you for everything you did for me. I don't know if you'll ever read this but to me you gentlemen are angels. Thank you Honor health for everything.

Tara Cuevas

We have taken our 3 year old daughter to the emergency room twice now, and both experiences have been great. Great nurses and staff.

Rich Reinert

This place is a complete joke, if you care anything about your family member DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE, the nurses are rude and there is a security guy (he's about 5'3) that is a complete disgrace to the human race, after my Aunt had been sitting there in a wheelchair for 3 1/2 hours in complete utter pain she was crying a little loudly and asking for help and this little guy had the nerve to tell her you need to keep it down there are other patients in here, i will file a complaint against that sorry excuse for a human you can count on that, they don't deserve 1 star they deserve a negative 10 star rating, needless to say she waited to get into the actual emergency room to be seen by a doctor around 8pm and she got there by ambulance at 430.

nargess hosseini

I went here in 2017 for a women wellness check up that's is covered by my insurance (United Healthcare). I found out today (Feb 2019), there's a collection claim in my credit report. After calling the collection company, I was told Deer Valley sent my bill a wrong insurance company (Golden Rule), and after getting denied, gave my account to the collection agancy.

Chaz Lemay

DON'T COME HERE. I went to urgent care and they said I might need an appendectomy and I should go to ER right away. I came here at 11 and 2 1/2 hours later finally was called back. You then wait in a room with 6 other people ....not a room with curtains. 6 recliners. Finally after over 4 hours I got pain meds. HIPPA does not exist here. Everyone in the room can hear what is going on with every other patient. Go anywhere else

vampYcupYcake

I went to the ER today because I was having headaches, dizziness, eye pain and been feeling really tired and during an eye exam the day before it was seen that I had optic nerve disk swelling and the ER turned me away and told me to see my regular doctor who cant see me for several days even though the headaches I have been getting can get pretty severe. I just wanted to make sure that nothing serious was happening but no one would even talk to me.

I saw Luis M. Irizarry, MD recently with pain in my upper right leg so bad it disturbed my sleep. He wrote me a prescription that I had results the first night after I took it. I am amazed and so pleased that even though I could not see my regular Dr. McClinton, he was able to resolve my problem!

First Start off ...5 Star for "Irish" a overnight nurse in observation!!!! Hats off to her bed side manner and ability to translate that she cared about you the patient and loved one of patient!!!!! Skilled and Smart!!! But people make the difference. Any Hospital in the WORLD would benefit from her patient care. Hospital wait time was long but they were busy. Didnt love greeting by person when I first arrived, my loved one was having chest pains and couldn't breathe, they hand him a piece of paper and say fill this out. No sure I love that, not a since of emergency considering its and emergency room. But overall - 3 stars Hospital 5 STAR - Irish.. Thanks - M Haynes

Waiting here for 4 hour and still waiting to get seem very unprofessional and nurse look like they dont know what to do, this is a joke

Chad Gullett

This place is simply amazing. They treated my mom with the upmost respect. All these bad reviews are just people who were stressed out at the time and get angry for no reason. I saw it for myself yesterday. If the process we went through is applied for every patient then there shouldn't be any bad reviews, because mostly its on you people who get grouchy based on the situation. Overall amazing place.

Larsa Z

Amazing and clean facility, wish the nurses were a little nicer or more understanding...

Ashleigh Poling

This used to be the hospital I took my mother to all the time when she would get really ill because her doctor is in the office building across the street but this last visit has made me never want to go there again! I took my mom in on Friday and they did some tests but we were told to call a lung doctor on Monday to make an appointment. Monday comes around and my mother is worse and can’t get an appointment with anyone until mid March so I took her back! We were told by our same doctor we had Friday that he was going to admit her and see a lung doctor immediately because waiting 2 months would be far to long so we waited and waited and waited... we waited 6 hours before another doctor came in saying she was taking over the doctor before and basically told my mother that she canceled all of the tests that were scheduled for her and told the lung doctor to not come see her because she was fine! She was the rudest most unprofessional uncompassionate woman I have ever met! She didn’t care about my mother at all, didn’t listen to anything she said, and just rushed her to get discharged with no tests trying to figure out what was wrong! I am so disgusted with everything that has happened!

I have been admitted 3 times in the last 14 mos by ambulance. Last year twice with COPD exacerbations and this april with a bacterial infection which stems from steroid use which compromises ones immune system. The doctors, nurses and staff were incredible. They were so knowledgeable and compassionate - They saved my life all 3 times. I am currently on oxygen 24/7 and am very happy to be alive. May GOD BLESS them all !!!!!

My 5 separate experiences as a deaf patient at the Honor Health at Deer Valley was not positive because there was chronic communication breakdown during receiving the treatment led to unnecessary misunderstanding. The VRI proved to be ineffective, unreliable because the internet is weak. When I was in great pain, I was forced to communicate via writing notes to add more undue hardship led to more stressful situations on 5 different visits. The nursing staff and doctors were nice but communication kept on breaking down. They expected me to lipread when I could not lipread those medical terminology that are not commonly used in daily conversation that had nothing to do with my intelligent abilities. Some other deaf patients expressed same experiences of frustration of waiting for 2 hours for live interpreters.

You guys do not deserve the title of "providing the best care". I've been in the waiting room for over an hour with severe chest pain while being diagnosed with hypertension. The nurses refuse to let me know when I will be called back. This is the absolute worst hospital to go to. I only went here because I couldn't drive far. I have always had issues with this hospital. You should be calling back by priority on the issue not who got here first. The guy next to me told me he's here because he has a flu. They rushed to get him back. I'm sitting here crying and shaking because I'm in so much pain it's unbearable, yet it's not a priority. You don't even deserve the one star I gave you. It's just the lowest I could give.

chere washburn

Took our son to the Pediatric ER and they were awesome. They were so good to him. The level of care was outstanding. The waiting room was packed and our wait was less than an hour. We would definitely go back in the future.

Hagrid the table

I was in a car accident with broken bones. If accidently upset a nurses. they, and yes i mean they because theyre in a click. You will be physically abused. Make sure you dont get your medications on time. I asked to be transferred to a dif hospital so they put resteraints on me. My leg ribs and one of my arms were broken i was crying in pain. I wasnt able to leave so idk why they would even do such a thing. they laughed at me and demeaned me. The dr walked in and seen the resteraints and got angry and had the m removed. But i still received no apoligy. This place should not exist i cant believe how many times ive met peoole and experienced myself with patients being neglected and treated like trash. Stay far far faway from here. Theres much more to this story but ill stoo here.. The workers here dont care about you please head my warning

Clay Nelson

Would have given Zero Stars if possible.... Worst human services on earth .... County was better and they charged less..... Ps tell the lady at the intake counter to do her job and stay off her phone ... She seemed to care more about that then getting us seen ....

Brooklynn Sulzer

If I could give zero stars I would. I took my daughter in one night (she ended up being diagnosed by another doctor at a different hospital with Scarlett fever) very ill, the Red headed doctor that ‘saw’ us at this hospital had not only the worst bed side manner of all time. She was rude she had no idea what she was talking about every time a nurse came in they had a different story as to what they thought my daughter had. From the nurses to the doctor all of them were very unprofessional. My daughter was discharged when she still had a fever. They never even gave me my discharge papers I ended taking my daughter to another hospital her feet and face were beginning to swell very ill from strep throat and Scarlett fever and these so called medical professionals did absolutely nothing but keep us there for two hours. No diagnosis no tests they hardly even looked at her. The doctor touched my daughters swollen feet and she said ow and started crying due to the pain and the doctor said ‘that didn’t hurt’ as if my daughter was exaggerating. Worst experience of my life. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy I’d hope they day doctors are better than the one we saw that night. Just awful.

Sue Auriene

H O R R I B L E. I don’t even want to waste any more of my life explaining why but do not go here! Terrible treatment, not clean, completely disorganized to the point of losing blood draw samples and having to redo, taking blood in an unsanitary office room, no labels on body fluid samples, nurses bad talking each other, noisy, uncomfortable and not to mention the hours and hours of wait time in the ER and no priority for serious illness.

Andrew Hill

Well this place is another insurance chop shop. They do not save ANY appointments if by chance you actually get sick. They do not see you when you get sick. I Just tried to day because i might have a secondary infection and the soonest i can be seen is in 4 weeks...Keep in mind this is not my first visit here. My entire family goes here and this was our first sick visit. I was stunned when she told me that. So I asked " So you do not save any time just in case one of your patients get sick?"... no they do not its a first come first serve insurance chop shop. Do not take your family here. unless you never get sick, otherwise you just have to go to urgent care anyways. HORRIBLE.....BEWARE

Mckenna M.

Very rude staff. I felt like a burden while waiting to be seen. Then was told I was "faking" my panic attack and that I wasn't worth their time.

Pamela Thompson

This hospitals my hospital of choice I've been coming here 10 years. It's gotten worse you can't get into the ER you can't see anybody there's no seats in the ER. I'm changing my hospital a choice

Danielle Smith

If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would. This is the worst hospital ever. The staff is horrible especially the nurses in the ER department. No compassion what so ever and just down right nasty when you ask them anything including to take my grandma to the bathroom because she isn't allowed to by herself and than when they finally get around to it leave her on a bed pan for over 30 mins. Don't ever bring your loved ones here it is a joke.

kimberly jeffers

Worst Hospital the wait time is outrageous. Then the security guard turned down the lights in the wait room and basically told us they wanted us to go to sleep cause they didn't want people to bug them cause the wait time was outrageous there were some people that had been waiting 9.5 hours

Miss KSimone

while in the process of having a miscarriage, i had to wait AN HOUR before i was even taken to the back. the nurse who took me back didn't even bother to walk with me as she just walked 20 steps ahead of me. no empathy. no sympathy. nothing. the nurse who drew my blood doggone near burst my vein. the ultrasound tech was nice, but he's about the only one i saw. i will NEVER come here again!

Jill Pierce

Modified review: (my first tenure) Poor service, used to be just John C Lincoln but nothing like it now. Would only go if very last choice and you are going to die. Maybe not even then. Dirty ER waiting room, small and they don't take you in any logical order. (I put the review in while I was waiting with my sister last year. We waited for about 4 hours to be seen and guit they around 3 p.m. and I should have modified the review earlier. My sister endedup spending 8 Weeks in the hospital and the staff and facilities were very good.) NEW REVIEW: I had to go to ER for myself and they are only a mile from my house. Came at 3 a.m., within minutes I was in a room, within two hours checked in the hospital. I have realized part of the problem with any ER are the people going there. ER stands for Emergency Room. That means an emergency. These numbers are an example, but for every ER the are probably 30 urgent care centers. For every Urgent Care the are hundreds of doctors. So why are people going to the ER? 1) they don't know any better. 2) No money for doctor and no insurance. An ER has to evaluate for life threatening and get you on your way. So when you go to an ER and it's full and the wait is 6-10 hours, don't blame the hospital for trying to do the best they can. Evaluate the reason you're going. Do you really belong in an ER? My Dr sent me to the ER, we knew they couldn't help me the way I needed, I had already been to see them on Tuesday. I'm still here, checked in for four days. The facilities in this ER where clean, the staff extremity friendly and above average in ability. After being checked into a comfortable room, the capabilities are just as good, rooms cleaned regularly and food service was very good. Did they forget a thing or two? Yes, but not the treatment you need, just the comforts you might need and when you ask again they get right on it. They have to prioritize their work, just like any other job. So the lady who is barfing on themself is making them forget your ice, but thank god for their compassion in helping her. This hospital is A+ in my books.

Carla Ivey

I was impressed at how fast my son was seen and how quickly they gave him pain meds( he had kidney stones). I wasnt impressed at how long it took tbem to release him and send him home. It took two hours and tbe pain meds were wearing off and he was not a happy camper. We just wanted to get out of there, get his Rx filled and home to bed. They lollygagged until I decided to be a " squeaky wheel" and made a fuss.

Fabian Montoya

Being admitted and seen soon was a definite bonus. If the review were to end there, it would be a 5 star review. However, it does not. I begin my stay in immense pain. I advise them that I suffer from migraine headaches, and the rest of the reason for my visit to this place. Thus begins my ordeal. It begins fairly well - I am given a course of antibiotics and one of the side effects (yay me) are headache. So, as I am being given my antibiotics, I begin to suffer a terrible migraine headache. As I am lying in bed, crying from the pain of not only my infection, but one of the worst headaches ever. I tell my nurse, and he tells me that he will look into it. As he comes back, he explains to me that I am being given some Oxycodone for the pain. I explain to him that the Oxy will do nothing at all for my headache and request a different solution. He explains that he will be back and that is the last I hear of it until I get a new nurse who shows up and gives me another course of antibiotics. At this point, I have been suffering a headache for 14+ hours, and it's damn near unbearable combined with the pain of my infection. I tell the new nurse if he has anything for my headache and he again informs me that he has something that is 100% not effective at all for migraine headache. I tell him exactly the drug that I need and a few hours later I finally get what I have been asking for, almost a whole day later. This place is a joke - do yourself a favor and go to a Banner instead. You'll thank yourself for it.

Brittany Keeton

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. My brother was in a quad accident going 60 MPH and we took him here to get treated and he was in extreme pain and we sat in the waiting room for an hour while he has a broken bones. Worst hospital I’ve been too. Not very friendly and worst care giving. We should have drove further to get a better hospital. This place is trash.

Kumar K

We came to honor health emergency section for my sister. She is 3 months pregnant and a sudden bleeds we came here and waited more than 4.30 hours to meet the physician. They are not taking anything serious and working very slowly. Very worst experience we got. I will not recommend anyone to go there for emergency.

Corey Nance

Completely unprofessional. I was a previous patient with Dr. Bode at this location. Dr. Bode was a phenomenal doctor, but he was constantly overbooked. Recently, Dr Bode quit working for Honor Health and zero notice was given. No one had answers, and it's near impossible to talk to anything other than a voicemail. Months had gone by, with zero answers, and now they're telling me that all of their other doctors are no longer taking patients, including previous patients of Dr. Bode. They literally dont care about patients who have been coming here for years. Luckily for me, my medications are "manageable" to do without for a short period of tine, but if I had been taking serious life-depending medications, i would be in an incredibly bad spot. If I were you, I would not risk your medical health at this facility.

Sushant Sood

It was the first time I had to visit Emergency Center and this first visit ended up a miserable day where I went with a hope of getting recovered from fluid loss but I was left unattended for 5 hours in emergency waiting, at the end after losing hope of meeting any doctor and waiting for 5 hours I decided to leave from emergency center without being able to consult with any doctor in the center and returned after just kept waiting in waiting room. I would suggest this center to have some kind of online queue system or atleast make patients aware of their waiting time.

Jeff Swartz

Worst nursing staff in the valley. Didn't have any knowledge about my Epileptic condition and worse yet didn't care they just made assumptions and made me wait while other people that were there after me and not as Severe we're being seen. DON'T GO AND DON'T TRUST THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A HOSPITAL!!! P.S. I LEFT AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Angela Bertoli

My mother was admitted to this hospital last week because she was throwing up a significant amount of blood. They did a GI scope on her and when she came out of the procedure she looked like someone had tried to kill her. She had a visible hand print on her face that extended from her jawline up onto her cheek, it was black with bruising. Her neck was black and blue and the way around and was about 5 inches wide. The physical therapist that came in was rude and threatened to discharge her to a rehab center if she didn't get out of bed right now. A nurse told her that if she didn't pee in a cup right now that she was going to put a catheter in her. She didn't receive her daily medications that she's been on for years. Food was disgusting, no changing of sheets, or help with personal hygiene. I was scared the entire time that my mother was going to die in the hospital and it would be from neglect on the part of the hospital. Not a good feeling. She was discharged yesterday and is not in good shape, surprised they sent her home with the problems she is still having. DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. RUDE, INCOMPETENT, NON-CARING STAFF. DOCTORS, NURSES AND AUXILIARY STAFF INCLUDED.

Bob Holden

Despite the ER full of flu patients, I was treated pretty quickly and expertly. Definitely on my list of "go to if" places.

Me

I don’t know about this place about of doctors are good but some of the nurses don’t wear gloves

Bonnie Shanks

I went in on 4/13/17 for a total hip replacement and was treated amazingly until my last night there. The night nurse never changed the pee catcher in the bathroom, she actually didnt do a dang thing. I had 3 of the staff during the day that were amazing, Christina was on her game, Bridget and Deserie were awesome as well. All in all it was a 4 star for me.

Rob Murray

absolutely the worst hospital i’ve ever been in stayed there 3 days in pain wouldn’t do anything about it room was 85 degrees never changed my clothes or linen staff let me sit there moaning in pain worst experience of my life DO YOURSELF A FAVOR ANYWHERE BUT DEER VALLEY

Joann Baca

My son came here, ER nurses are rude, they would not listen to his complaints, they sent him home, he came back with 2 blood clots, went home and then had to go back 3 days later and now they say it could be a collapsed lung or pneumonia, they never give him a straight answer, if anything happens to my son I will definitely call my attorney! Also patient advocate was no help and was also very rude!

Jingkie Ecija

I wish I didn’t have to leave 1 star because they don’t deserve it! This hospital is seriously the worst hospital in AZ! They wait 1-3 years to finally bill you and then send your bills to the collector because they did “not” here from you. I have never gotten any medical statement from them nor have ever gotten any calls from them asking for payments. I am very disgusted by their service and will not recommend it to anyone! They give the worst care and all they care about is the money! The RN never cares for you and give you an attitude for being there! I am not even going to waste my time or energy anymore on this disgusting place.

aimee valadez

On hold at them moment. I'm calling the Emergency department to ask on updates on a patient and the lady has been really rude and snappy. She hung up on me twice, when I called the second time I commented on the lady being rude she was saying they're taking emergency phone calls, I told her that's understandable but that there's no need for the attitude. I told her I'd like to speak to her supervisor to let them know how rude she's being and I've been on hold for 20 minutes now. I doubt she even went to get her supervisor. It's really unprofessional and just nasty, I mean people are calling to check on their loved ones and this is how they respond to people.

Mark Martinez

I was well taken care of, will update after my bill.

chelsea oliver

First things first, do not go here unless it is 100% an emergency. Seriously. If you can make arrangements to go to physician or an urgent care do it. I know that that is obvious. But when my eyes were swollen shut with no history of allergies and I thought I was having an allergic reaction, this hospital was the closest thing I could drive to. They will not always give you (a) in network PA or (b) an employee of the hospital. Some are contracted and they will bill you for the same stuff. So yes, it's ridiculous BUT ASK. I have not had a good experience getting information from the hospital and now I am out of a lot of money for being dismissed easily with no real exam or care.

Kari Van Wyk

Driving from Oklahoma to California and I needed an ER to be checked out. This hospital was one of the best I have ever been too. From the clerk, the tech, the RN, and the doctor. Every single person was perfect. Professional, great bedside manner, funny, and fast. I was impressed with the tests the dr ordered and checked for. I wasn’t rushed out but the whole experience was very fast for an Er. I highly recommend this hospital for your needs.

Leila ronson

I was treated at immediate care 2 wks ago and given amoxicillin for bronchitis and Sinusitis . It did not take care of the bacterial infection. I went in 2wks and 2 days later on Monday still having a bacterial infection, bronchitis, Saw Dr. Gawelko told him I was still coughing up green plugs and still running a low fever and feeling pretty run down by this time. He never addressed the problem and just treated me for another pain. I have called 6Xs now trying to get him to help me with the infection. I have gotten 4 calls back from his staff trying to send me to a Gynecologist instead of addressing the Bronchitis bacterial infection . I suggested to the girl that called, maybe a different antibiotic would help. I never write reviews but I feel I need to warn people about this very broken medical system. If he won't address this today, I will be forced to see another Dr. Who is more responsible and reliable. . I can only hope my insurance will pay for another Dr for the same problem. I just called their office one more time at 4:49 PM thursday and found he was given an urgent note from a staff member and ignored it. I was told he was gone until Monday. I went to a fast care clinic near my house and got immediate treatment. They gave me a different antibiotic and said that sometimes that one is not good for this kind of infection. I will be changing Primary care Drs to someone responsible tomorrow 1st thing. You've been warned.

Avi Naftali

Horrible horrible service. Horrible hospital. If you love someone DONT send them to this garbage of a hospital.

Sam Wang

My experience was good. Doctors know what they are doing and they are good at it.

Eldin Avalos

So I have come to realize that this isn't a very big hospital. It's more of an emergency care. They are quick to get patients in that need care. I have been here 3 times, twice to get stitched up because I need to be wrapped in bubble wrap or something. The doctors that saw me were super kind and understanding, they helped me to the best of their ability with in a good time frame as they are treating many other patients at the same time. The nurse that was there while I was getting stitched up by the doc was very kind, made sure I was comfortable and was well taken care of.

Shannon Acton

Chris Bennett

Best ER visit I’ve ever had. Everyone was polite and friendly.

Anthony Daniel

I came to this facility 5 years ago and the nurses saved my life. Now, I feel like I'm getting in their way. It's never personal, and it's never about your health or well-being. I was thrown out not too long ago for not being sick enough!!!! They used to put patients first, but now it's the rules that come first. I feel shame and anguish being here at this hospital. Don't let that happen to you.

Stephanie Jacobs

Best place to leave your life open to the public choice of people who don't matter..

Kameeka Leves'Que

This used to be a great place to come, shorter wait times than banner thunderbird, but that was past tense, now even if they get you in a room, they will keep you for a whole shift, meanwhile you'll rarely see anyone come in your room, or anything done. Don't get an arrogant, pompous, uneducated, no bedside manner Doctor like Dr Rodriguez, came in with Chest pain and this guy wanted to give me something off of my allergy list, that was off limits so for 4 hours I received absolutely nothing, then he says to me the patient, oh you didn't ask for anything, I didn't go to medical school either, what a joke. Don't go there unless Dr Drobka is there which is from 6/pm-5/6 am, he's a great doctor, who's determined and has great bedside manners, empathy and an honest caring, honest individual. Good luck

Jerry Snead

My wife recently had to go to the ER here. We had to wait almost 3 hours in the waiting room before being taken to the back and even then she was put in a bed in the hallway. So far this sounds like a definite 1 star review (at that point it was and I swore I would never come back to this hospital). However, once my wife was given a bed, everything drastically changed for the better. At this point everything moved in a quick and efficient manner. The doctor, nurse, CT tech and everyone else were topnotch. They were all very friendly, understanding and put my wife's care as a top priority. Within two hours, my wife had her diagnosis & treatment plan and we able to leave the hospital. The care in the back was superb and for that reason I give this hospital 5 stars.

Lisa MIller

Don't go to this hospital! Terrible experience!Waiting for 4 or 5 hours with my husband, a senior, that was not feeling good, to see the doctor! Another man there was in pain, craying and they didn't do anything just said to him to wait! Absurd!!!

Debbie Mitchell

This is the ONLY hospital I would go to. They have the best nursing staff and Doctors. I've had all my surgeries there. At least the last 2 by the best surgeon in Phoenix. My insurance didn't cover Dr. Ehtashami to see him at his office, I lucked out when they called him in to be my Dr and surgeon both times I needed neck surgery when I was paralyzed. He did such an awesome job that I'm not paralyzed anymore because of his quick diagnosis. I always get good care here. I always get the best nurses and i'm never ignored. What's funny is, I cry when I have to leave the hospital because the care is that good. The foods not so bad either! Lol

tara joy

This hospital is awful they don’t care

Shiva Khademi

This is not a hospital, it’s only a business center. I went to the emergency room with a worst sore throat and pain, after 3 hours and 2 lab tests they told me go home and we’ll call you when the tests answer came back. They didn’t call me even after 12 hours, when I called them they said we cannot give you the answer on the phone, I asked if I come in person will give the test answer back, she said no, if it was something serious they call you. My pain get even more, and they just made money with my insurance.

David Villasenor

Just recently had to take my 6 month old daughter for an emergency. Staff emediatly began helping in any way possible. This was my first time in this situation. The staff however made this experience very fast and helpfull. I was very impressed how they were able to get my beautiful daughter to smile again

Andy Goin

not so pleased. new to the area and my wife is waiting to have surgery in 2 weeks. she was so pail when I got home I forced her to go into ER after 5 days of watching her miserable. I chose the close quick place to go. The main doctor came in and immediately asked my wife why she didn't go to the hospital where her doctor is staffed. He then said well what do you want us to do for you?? She was asked that 2 more times by staff ( very sarcastic and snippy every time). My wife felt belittled and was upset I made her go in. Mind you we were instructed by urgent care earlier in the day to go in if worsened. even the guy doing her ultra sound was rude about it all. he couldn't find a cist and treated her almost like it was made up. upon internal scope they found were it was and the whole attitude changed followed by ohhh it was there. a very large spot just like urgent care had mentioned. They also warned it had probably or would rupture if continued to worsen. It's amazing how open and rude the doctors where. Almost like we were wasting their time. this along with multiple nurses forgetting about us. sitting in a freezing dirty room. trash cans full with garbage on the floor. my wife waited 20 mins to get anything after she was told to get undressed and into the gown. it was even made a joke that we had the cold room!!! crazy the cost of an emergency room visit especially with such low quality, careless acts. Take pride in your hospital and treat people like patients not just another annoying diagnosis.

Samantha Doty

I almost didn't come here after reading some reviews, but this hospital and the emergency team are some of the best in the valley and definitely the best in the area. My nurse Rachel was so pleasant and caring, Dr. Merchant covered all the bases. Thank you Honor Health team for helping me.

Jackie Jones

I have a chronic disease and I'm in the ER and am admitted quite regularly. This hospital and doctors have saved my life on more than one occasion. I will not go anywhere else. Sometimes the wait in the ER is long but I am more than willing to wait. This just means that they are busy saving lives and working diligently on those who need care more than I do.

Alina Hernandez

This is the worst place you could come to get treatment. The ER does not care if you come with a major pain of a heart attack. They make you wait for 4 hours or more to ne seen, good luck if you come.

Joella Douglas

I am actually currently here, and as I type this two machines are beeping like crazy, my grandmother needs her shot and no nurses are in sight. Don't come here if you need help. Though, miss Elaine F. Is absolutely wonderful.

Emily Sanchez

ER takes forever and nurses are really rude. They will take 10+ minutes to answer your call light and you’ll be waiting hours to have tests done with no update on what’s happening.

Sherry Duffy

**BEWARE** My friend had a medical emergency while we were visiting from out of town, this is the SCARIEST Hospital I have ever been to in my life! We arrived to the ER with staff enclosed behind glass, security casing and really sketch patients waiting to be seen. There were multiple officers going in and out of the ER dealing with what appeared to be a pretty serious situation. A patient was wheeled in with what appeared to be either a gunshot or stab wound. I have never been so uncomfortable, feeling as if I needed to map out an escape emergency plan for what was about to happen next... The waiting room was absolutely disgusting, the chairs were broken & ripped, even what appeared to be blood running down a chair. When we left there were about 8 police cars out front surrounding a vehicle out front. The entire experience was absolutely disturbing. My friend had a serious enough situation she was admitted, I felt absolutely sick leaving her there. I returned the following day to see my friend and experienced another entire list of disturbing things. If I were an admin of the hospital reading this, I'd be embarrassed to say you are associated with this uninviting, crime ridden, disgusting place. I so much more appreciate the hospitals in the Northwest. Chills as I'm writing this...

Nichole R

This er use to be so much better...really disappointed this trip. Waited for 2+ hrs to even go back, they were busy okay fine. Got back to a room about 8pm and took forever to see a nurse and even longer to see the doctor...came in with high heart rate and chest pain/pressure. Just got home at 12:45am...come to find out I laid in the room with an iv not hooked up to anything, with no way to get to the restroom and no one checking in on me until discharge. According to lab slips the results were done 2 hours before I heard them from the doctor. I know they were busy but I felt that there was a big lack of communication and caring from the doctor and nurses. Definitely will consider other emergency rooms before returning here should I need one.

Cynthia D

I'm here now, came via ambulance quickly from Sonora Emergency Cntr 2 days ago for acute kidney, painful muscle spasms, severe dehydration. Staff, food, clean I am rating it a 5-star. Happy to be one of the fortunate ones to b getting better faster than they expected a kidney to heal.

Em Jay

My go to place for me my bf and our daughter. The staff here is amazing. No long wait and they work quickly to get you in and out.

Will L

The cafeteria is the best food in town!!

TwistedSox

Great hospital! But one of my doctors when i was in pain after my tonsillectomy seemed to ignore me when I pressed the nurse button but besides that my experience was great! (Besides the excruciating pain i was in)

Mary Blackwell

They gave me a medication that first my insurance didn't cover. Then it took them a full 10 days to call me back just to prescribe something different . And my condition worsened. I'm just going to go to urgent care because they still have not called me back for a different medication. Ridiculous !

Hollie Broadbent

Had the absolute worst experience here. First, time frames are absolutely irrelevant and arbitrary. "We will get you right in, can you wait 15 minutes?" turned into an hour wait. Once in the room, the equipment was useless. The heart monitor stopped working every 2 minutes. Every nurse was on their phone in between rooms, checking Facebook and texting. At one point, I asked another visitor if they needed help finding something and they said she was waiting on a nurse to help her daughter go to the bathroom and they buzzed over 10 minutes prior. At two different times, a male staff member took off my girlfriend's gown without asking permission or a warning, then didn't offer to help her put it back on - No considerations about modesty or personal comfort. When she went in to the MRI, a tech ignored her statement about not folding her glasses and snapped them in half (one of the sides was glued on). At the end of the visit, the doctor came in saying "Great news from the MRI! You have (a serious lifelong condition)" When we asked how this was great news, he said that he couldn't do anything and would not be providing prescriptions for pain management or recommending physical therapy. My girlfriend was sobbing in pain by the end of the 5 hours we were there and none of the doctors or nurses offered any help or concern. If it's an emergency and you need help, don't waste your time here.

Karen Beecher

I love this hospital. Always clean, I've rarely had to wait. I've taken my family, friends and even myself here. They saved my life. This is a Magnet hospital, a highly coveted designation. They've proven to me over and over again why they deserve it.

Alycia Smith

The staff and doctors where nice but the after care for the ER doctor is a MAJOR PAIN. I have no insurance and personal member said she was going to apply for me for State insurance. For the hospital it only takes 7 days to get a letter from the insurance but if I was to apply it would take 45 days. I found out that there is no application submitted.

Nate Bojorquez-Murphy

HORRIBLE SURGERY EXPERIENCE! I was here in June, having surgery at the main hospital (pavilion 1) and I would NEVER return. My surgery prep went ok, except for being an hour and 50 min late. The main issue is that they left surgical gauze INSIDE ME!! I went home and was ok until late the next day, when the pain was getting MORE intense, not less, like they said to expect. It was rectal surgery, so percocet, ibuprofen and an Rx stool softener, to counter constipation from the opiate. I have a very high pain tolerance, but I knew something was very wrong. The swelling was horrible, the heat eventually spread and I graduated to a horrible fever and eventually chills. Then uncontrollable shaking. I'm an otherwise healthy 32 yo guy, maybe 185lbs wet, so not normal at all. I didn't want to go to the ER because of the cost, so I went to a 24-hour emergency clinic ($250, btw) and they took one look at me, got quick vitals and said GO TO THE ER at the SAME hospital, because if emergency surgery was required, a surgeon could opt to not operate on "someone else's mess" until my surgeon could get there. I'd been calling my surgeon's "after hours" line because it was now the weekend.... except no "24-hour answering service"... it just rang and rang. Really? I was so horribly swollen, bloated and in unimaginable pain and I could feel so much pressure. Nothing was coming out, so I knew there was a blockage. After more hours on the pot, after wiping, I felt something... a tiny bit of gauze! I laid in the bathtub with the shower hose keeping me warm and over the next 4 hours, I pulled a very tattered, very long piece of gauze out of my rectum!! My husband documented it, for proof. The smell was horrible, as was all the putrid bloody liqid behind the fabric! Literally, a couple hours later, almost no pain, no fever, chills, uncontrollable shaking... all gone. I got a hold of the surgeon's office monday am and they told me to come in THAT day, emergency status. They apologized repeatedly, saying they didn't understand how that could ever happen. I don't think it was intentional, but I couldn't afford the $250 trip to the overnight urgent care, especially since they didn't actually DO anything and the office apologized again for the lapse in their answering service. Speaking to my surgeon's office, they said yes, surgeon and the assistant were at fault, but that there were 4+ hospital staff IN THE ROOM for my surgery, paying attention, who missed or didn't follow what had happened. They said that the gause left inside me had gone septic, leading to all the horrible pain and that it could have been fatal, if that septic bloody bile would have ruptured into my body cavity and bloodstream. WHY WAS NO ONE ELSE PAYING ATTENTION?? On top of all of this, now the hospital is still billing me for things that the insurance said should have been covered, since we met our deductible already.... out of network stuff, etc. Every time I call, a different answer and different dollar amount. I've never thought I was going to die until this negligent staff almost sent me to my end. I literally thought I was going to die, laying there in my bathtub in agony. Attached, pictures (g-rated ones anyway) of what was accidentally and admittedly left inside me, during surgery. Common surgical pad, partially SEWN INTO my rectum, hence the ripped edge where I ripped it out of me, ripping some stitches, also. Think of ripping out a giant, sewn in clothing tag, except up inside your infected rectum. And again, NO ONE WAS PAYING ATTENTION? 6+ PEOPLE, of which 4+ were hospital staff? REALLY??

I've had to come to this hospital on numerous occasions and none of my experiences have been pleasant. My mom was admitted yesterday because she had chest pains, numbness in her entire left side, slurred speech, her vision kept fading in, she lost consciousness, stopped breathing twice, and collapsed to the floor. All they saw was that my mom had her medical card and had a tiny brownie and decided to blame everything on that. They didn't run any tests to see if she had a stroke or a heart attack or anything along those lines. They just pumped her with fluids and sent her home even though she is still continuously saying that her entire left side feels funny. They don't listen to their patients and they don't care about them if they don't have insurance. I would recommend going to literally any other hospital before even, considering this one.

I've used this hospital a number of times over the past 15 years. In the last few years the service and professionalism has been very good. Just a few months ago my visit to ER was swift and responsive. Last night my sister became ill with sudden bleeding. Her doctor had previously advised her should this happen go to ER. She arrived at around 9:30 pm. She was triaged immediatley. She was in the waiting room as the 10th in line. People came in after her who were seen over the following 7 hours. Because of her persisting pain and discomfort I insisted she leave to protect her health. This was absoulty horrid. One woman who had been there when she arrived, husband came in after she had been there only 4 hours insisted she leave and he carried out to find another facility. One 94 year old was asleep on her walker was taken back within 3 hours. They need a PA system that can be heard in the bathroom. When they call a name an effort to fine the person should be made. One man was asleep in the chairs after several hours and didn't hear his name and my sister called out to the nurse he was there. My gosh, what is wrong? This must be fixed or close the ER and stop torturing patients not arriving by ambulance or put a sign up "beds full" so people who need help can go some place else. Horrific responsiveness 7 hours. Shame shame

My family was visiting from out of state when my son experienced a seizure. We were taken to John C. Lincoln where he received very good care. I am very grateful for the care given and how accommodating they were to my family. I highly recommend this facility.

Devon Brenner

One of the most nasty and foul nurses omg my mother how is about to get a big surgery nurse Lisa takes her time with everything and is extremely nasty also unprofessional if I were dieing I would never got to this place my God so disgusted

Let me start out by saying I'm an RN) This hospital delivers really, really awful care- with very few exceptions. ICU can't be a "good" experience -ever- so I'll confine myself to a review of the med surg unit (3rd Floor) . Out of an 8 day hospital stay, only 2 RN's were competent. The others were respectively: unconcerned, slow, inconsiderate, marginally responsive and lacking in knowledge or basic competency. The room was never cleaned, I had to request fresh linen and assistance with hygiene. My arms looked like an incompetent IV drug abuser due to poor IV start skills. Go to a veterinary clinic rather than here.

johnny G

Horrible service, came in with back pain. Was told I have pinched nerves and herniated vertebrae after an mri. Sent home with nothing for pain. Stay far away if your in need of actual treatment. Great hospital if you just need a set of shoulders to cry on.

My husband had surgery and a one night stay at this hospital. I would not ever go back here if I didn't have to. Everything from recovery to the room he was in was poorly run. They didn't have any rooms available so we were in recovery for several hours and the nurse wouldn't even let us close the curtain a little so he could get some sleep. When he finally got to a room he was not taken care of. Not told he needed to order food, was not brought water or any toiletries to brush his teeth. Asked for things on several occasions, told they would get it and then they were never brought. My husband is paralyzed, he needs to be turned in bed, they didn't do that either, even after he called the nurse. He was told they would be back, but they didn't come. Over all just a very poorly run hospital. Some of the nurses were good, but you could see they were understaffed. Others didn't care at all.

This hopsital is the worse I have ever seen they don't that patient far or good at all my mother has been in and out of that hospital they do not lissen to family history my mother had a stroke 8 months ago and she can not talk well I fought with the hospital to lissen the 3 south nurses and doctors are not good doctors at all I'm pulling my mother out of the hospital as of tonight and taking her to a different hospital to get her treated my mother's name is Debra crosser and they messed up her state insurance as well and had to refile don't go there they will not traet you well at all

Kristina Steele

i have been in and out of the hospital quite a bit over the year. i usually go to banner thunderbird first because of our insurance. i will not so anymore. i have been misdiagnosed 2 times. life threatening issues. when i come to deer valley. i feel like the employees are genuine and like their jobs. i dont feel like another person coming through the door. The nursing staff here is AMAZING! Kat in the ED, made being ill easier. my nurses on the 3rd floor Janet and Christina were the same. i wish i could just take them home with me. PJ in the nuclear medicine was fantastic as well! keep up the good work!

Bi Varmaz

Me and my husband waited 7 hours in the ER and after 7 hours we ask what happen they said "waiting for room"and then enter 6 people. Kept delaying us for no reason. You go to hospital to seek help and they can't even help you!! This Hospital is terrible!!!

Kim Wortman

obviously the people that gave this place 3 to 5 stars never dealt with the security guard (rambo) he looks like he is 12 and acts like he's 5

Riley Henson

My son was injured while visiting the area. From the time we arrived in the emergency room, every staff member, nurse, and Drs. were professional, helpful, and did an outstanding job. Thanks to everyone at DVMC!

Corinne Bellars

Great experience in pediatric Emergency Room here! Efficient and caring when our little one needed stitches.

Mike Gordon

I'm in my middle 60's and had to go to the emergency room for extreme pain in my left lower back among other things. My primary care physician had told me that morning to go to an ER if the pain got worse. I can't say enough good things about my experience at this E.R. ALL the staff was friendly and had a GREAT attitude towards me and my issues which turned out to be kidney stones. P.A. Randy Spencer Hann was most kind and understanding man I have met in many years. Very knowledgeable and he explained my options clearly. Apparently Honor Health has initiated a fast track emergency room procedure that is brilliant in my book. Not one time did I sit in a chair for more than ten minutes without one of the staff there to answer questions or move me to the next step. I can't say enough good things about my experience. You guys and girls ROCK!!!

Jennifer Bauman

Stayed at Honor Health on 3rd and dunlap last week after surgery...the nurse Summer on the 5th floor was so aweful. She never gave me my med lamictal i should have had the day before until 7 pm the next night and only because after she rolled her eyes at me about it and left the room i called the charge nurse. Why do ALL nurses make you beg for the meds your dr already established you to take at certain times? Isnt that like a main part of their job? Not done yet in another Honor Heath currently and the same things. Im here for pain from surgery and ive been on a gurney since 5 am it is 3 pm I went to the restroom around 1pm no one has come back to hook me up to anything the machines were making noise no one came. I again feel like i have to beg for meds or frankly to be acknowledged as a patient here. Somewhere Somehow Health Care Needs to get better. Everyone else gets a response? Oh you get a response only if it is a good one right?. How about a reply stating your looking into the matter. But since your not acknowledging me i will make a formal complaint. And i let MARK know how i was treated.

Rosalinda Gonzalez

I work there thats how I know that amswer.

Tiffany Landreth

There was not an option for no stars.. I would of chosen that if I could! I was not called for a reminder apt. I thought it was made more 1:30 pm then I HAD TO CALL to make sure that, that was the time.. nope I ended up missing my apt. I had to wait over a month to get in. The guy who answered the phone was rude then befor I could even try to reschedule he hung up on me! That's beyond rude! I won't be making an appointment with this place any time soon.

Ken Pancost

My mother in law has been in the ER for 18 hours now. This hospital is understaffed and the staff they do have is rude and in my opinion incompetent. There is absolutely no and I mean NO compassion here. My mother in law was left with no choice but to relieve herself into a trash can that was in her room. They never came to help.

Jeff Lesko

My wife was in with pneumonia a while ago, and Bobbi and all the others were fantastic. They treated her like I would have wanted her to be treated. And when it was time to leave, they all did all they could to go through their countless procedures before you can go. I haven't been in a hospital for a while, but I was impressed. Thanks to everyone for being so nice to my wife.

Luis Lopez

Been wating at the loby for 3 hrs, nurses and securty guards are just laughing around people are crying the in bathroom and loby of pain, just go to another hospital

Michael Harding

I went into the ER at this hospital at 3 AM due to severe stomach pain. The ER staff was quick, friendly, and understanding about my anxiety. They ran some tests and took some samples, and discovered I had appendicitis. So, I was moved up to a room in the Honor Health building. The staff was friendly and polite in this building, too, and kept me informed about what was going on and the process I would have to undergo to remove my appendix. The actual surgery took about 45 minutes, and I woke up and began recovery with no complications. This is, all around, an excellent hospital. I would recommend it to any of my friends or family.

Crystal Pfeifer

Havent had a great experience here. My dad has pneumonia 2 weeks after having knee surgery. The nurses are all over the place and they dont keep track of the medications. They only good experience here is our nurse sherry. Shes very experienced and knows what shes doing. Other than her nobody at this hospital knows anything. And the cafeteria here the staff is rude and very unorganized.

Kitsuween

Go elsewhere. Horrible lying staff. Facility is not up to date and the rooms are very run down. Will cause you nothing but stress and a miserable time.

Theresa Petzel

I went in because of my asthma and found out I had the flu. They had no rooms available which I understood due to the amount of patients they were dealing with. But the food they provided was much later than if you were in a room and it was cold. I was given fluids via IV but the only time I got water was when I was given medication, so I had 3 6-8 oz cups of water in a 21 hour period. I needed to use the restroom but no one could come and unhook me from my IV so I wound up wetting myself. My son went out and notified them of the situation and nobody ever came to check on me or clean it up so my 13 year old daughter had to clean it up. I didn’t have a private bathroom so there were no towels or washcloths to clean myself up. Meds were delivered hours after they were due. I was so completely stressed out and anxious I wound up checking myself out. Because I did that, the Dr would not give me any scripts to treat my asthma or the flu nor could he be bothered to come in and speak to me. I was told to go see my pcp for my meds. Worst experience ever!! Next time I will drive farther and go to Scottsdale if I need hospital care!

Elias Edmoundson

Over 3 hours to be seen. Figure your staffing out.

Pastor Al

These people were GREAT! I went in with 5 cracked ribs, they got me stable quickly and set up surgery within 30 hours. Dr Sucher ( spelling unsure of) was a great surgeon who explained everything and has done more rib fixations than anyone. He was kind and humble, as well as compassionate. I spent one week on the Ortho floor and was so impressed with the empathy and care of the entire staff. The nurses were out of this world, and everyone else was so encouraging. If my ribs didn’t hurt so much I’d give them all a hug! Great hospital and staff... and I didn’t have the accounting department visiting me to talk about payments. The whole time I was there, it was obvious their only concern was my health! I am grateful I ended up there!! Pastor Al Cassel Peace Lutheran Church, Peoria, AZ

Our daughter had a fever with fibrile seizures. No one ever told us about them and it scared is to death. The ambulance took her and dad here. The police came in and arrested dad while he was holding baby recovering from seizures and accused us of letting our baby get into illicit drugs and sent CPS after us. All this because another ER told us the wrong dose on diluted fever medication and antibiotics, which is what dispatch interpreted as "meth" as one cop said. Absolutely f&$@ing ridiculous and false. Everything was cleared up with the CPS interview and nothing was the fault of the staff here. The ER staff were the sweetest, most caring medical professionals we've encountered. They gave us a better antibiotic than the broad spectrum the other ER have us, gave us a simple fever reducer and our baby was better with an hour.

martin auzenne

I went to my doctors appointment today and after examining me he said I should drive myself to the emergency room of my choice. I was told I had a good chance that I may have a blood clot in my lung.I chose to go to honor health because they had seen me when my motorcycle accident happened weeks before. My doctor was very concerned and called ahead to let them know I was on my way. The two guys running the triage were not very nice or understanding and might even be considered smart Alecks by most. In there judgment a minor injury to a fingers was higher priority than a potential blood clot in a lung. There were many people who had waited for 4 to 5 hours in the lobby and it just kept filling up till there were no chairs left. I left in frustration after 2 and a half hours not including the heads up from my doctor. I would have to be unconscious and on a gurney to return to honor health emergency room.

Brittany Perrone

I've been waiting for about two hours for a doctor. I've heard all the wonderful gossip from the nurses and hear were the best places are. I'm the last room that everyone walks past down the hallway. The room next to me has been refreshed two times over and I was forgotten. Walked out.

seth fetters

Had a large (8mm) kidney stone that had me literally crying in pain and unable to sit still.. they made me wait in the waiting room for roughly 3 hours plus another 1.5 hours after, before I received any type of pain medicine. All they could say the whole time I was suffering was “I’m sorry”. Now I have a stent placed that the same urologist is supposed to remove tomorrow but is saying that I need a referral!! Referral for what? It’s a follow up appointment from something YOU DID. I definitely don’t recommend ever stepping foot in this place! Now I have to figure out how to get this stent removed from my body!

Prasanth CL

I took my wife with a reference or urgent care for a head scan as she failed the nuro function test. Instead of doing head scan they did abodomin scan and with no sense doc Came back to me and said no blood clot in head. After seeing insurance bill I realized that they did abdominal scan . Heights of irresponsibility. Never go to urgent care at this location

Nunna Biznez

I went in for knee repair surgery this week and while I was hearing a couple people not very happy with what they were experiencing, I had just the opposite. I had calls the day before to confirm my check in time and my surgery time. I was admitted in a timely manner, even tho they did have a slight back up with the recovery unit which slowed down things a little bit. But everyone I encountered from the admissions clerk to orderlies to nurses, everyone, was extremely nice was making sure I was comfortable and ok. I ran into breathing issues during recovery but my nurse, Amanda, made sure I was good, and helped me thru it all. I am grateful to everyone for making this experience a good one for me.

Tiana Bell

This is my 1st at this location & I have to say it was a good experience besides being ill. The nurse Adele was beyond amazing. Besides being very professional; she was also extremely nice, caring & went above and beyond to help me. She made me fell like she really does care about my well-being. I think she should get the 5 stars for representing this facility in such a great way.

Aniko Jensen

I cannot recommend this hospital enough. My son had to get stitches way too close to his eye and the hospital staff were so amazing and great with him. They went above and beyond their work duties to make him feel safe and protected as he was pretty scared going into it. The pediatric nurses, pediatrician, pre op nurses as well as the surgical team and anesthesiologist were so great and outgoing making him laugh and smile when even I couldn’t. He had such a positive experience that made the world to him and I know from experience you don’t receive that from just anyone.

Marissa Burnett

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Staff is extremely rude and sarcastic! If you do something to upset them (simply being in need of their assistance) they will truly make sure that is exactly what you DO NOT get from them. Stayed there 4 hours and was only visited about twice after REQUESTING a nurse or some kind of assistance numerous times! Absolutely worst hospital I have ever experienced! If it’s possible avoid this place. Looks can be deceiving.

Heather Burke

Terrible experience with staff. It's very disheartening to know that people in the healthcare profession can treat people with such disrespect and disregard. What's even worse is that they mixed up patient orders and almost administered an unnecessary test.

Ashley Brown

Thank you to the amazing Urologist Dr. Roscoe Nelson! Your team at Arizona Center for Urology has been so helpful and the most caring staff I've ever had the privilege to come in contact with in years! The buildings are beautiful, clean and everyone in Honor Health or association has been so helpful in the care for my loved one. I appreciate Michelle for getting him in so soon after seeing how much pain he has been in to help relieve this for him. They even have monitors that update for the waiting room. I'd highly recommend treating your care through them!

Bobbi So 100

The worse experience of my LIFE and I've been through nasopharyngeal cancer!! They refused to assist me...I had been in a horrible wreck with excruciating pain!! The assigned ER doctor was very rude!! Released me but provided NO assistance whatsoever...as I held onto the wall trying to escape the hell (with no assistance) I ended up falling in the employee parking lot and luckily was found by Security!! Please don't go to this hospital for anything!! They don't care about their patients AT ALL!! I'm contacting the Board on Monday in reference to my nurse and doctor!!

Bonnie Owen

This is the worst place ever! ! If I could so a - ⭐ I would Will never go here again !!

Sonof Liberty

Hospital staff never contacted me when my husband was injured in a motorcycle accident. It was only after 10 hours that he became conscious enough to text me.

Paula Heath

I was hospitalized at Honor Health Deer Valley for four days to treat an infection. I was very impressed with this facility. When I arrived at the ER I was in a treatment room within 15 minutes. Treatment started right away and the staff was friendly and efficient. It was determined that I needed to be admitted and I was escorted to a pleasant private room. In the four days I was there I didn’t encounter a single hospital employee that I didn’t care for. From the nurses and doctors to cleaning staff and food services all of the employees were wonderful. I felt I was treated with the utmost respect and care. My case manager was also terrific, assisting me with finding a new primary care doctor. I highly recommend this facility.

Sarah Gilbert

Came in last night with my daughter needing stiches. The Dr. was just about to numb her when she said she had to pee. The restroom was 2 doors down and we took less than 5 minutes for her to use the restroom and when we returned everyone was gone. After waiting 45 minutes my Husband polity asked the Dr. how long it will be since they were ready to do it when she used the bathroom. The Dr. got rude and said since she wasn't ready they moved on to the rest of their patients and she would just have to wait another few hours until they were done with everyone else. We live in Scottsdale and told the Dr. we were taking her out and going to the Scottsdale hospital where we are treated better. The Dr loudly scoffs and says, "Ha, Scottsdale good luck!" The waiting room and ER was nasty and so is their Doctors attitudes! Guess what?! Took her to Scottsdale Osborn, not only in and out in less than 2 hours but, much much cleaner and the entire staff had great attitudes! Also, turns out they can't stich the kind of cut she had on her finger, Dr said it would work so they used steri strips. When I told them what the Dr. At Deer Valley said and wanted to giver her stiches they couldn't believe it. I guess that's what you get from a DR that works at a hospital with a 2.9 rating! Not to mention the heroine user nodding out in the waiting room!

Chazz Gallardo

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. I wouldn’t go here if I was dying. I broke my hand and had surgery done to it, they pushed my surgery back 3 hours, held me there more than 4 hours after surgery without checking up on me and the service is terrible! Called for Doctor Haymond multiple times but he is no where to be seen and he did my surgery. Very unhappy with everything I went through at this poor hospital I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE.

Kara Barron

I reluctantly went into the ER with stomach pain and was treated very nicely by every single person I met at that hospital. From the ER nurses to the attending staff on the 4th floor and the surgeon and hospitalists and the surgeons assistants. Everyone was kind and helpful and things moved quickly and efficiently. I don't think I've ever had a better hospital experience. I am truly grateful.
