Wow! I was just told that you do not bill Medicare, which I am 2 months shy of, so I am officially rejected as a patient of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. So does that mean you only accept young people with cancer or older ones approaching Medicare age that you think will die before the age of 65? For total disclosure I think uou should definitely include in your many TV ads that you do not bill Medicre, that you only accept a select subset of people who have cancer.

If I ever get cancer, this is where I'm going, even if I have to pay for a lot of it myself. My mother ended her days at CTCA and it's unfortunate that she didn't get to go there sooner. Pros: 1. The doctors and staff are some of the most compassionate people you'll meet. And, that matters. They also are very talented at their jobs. Those two things combined, for almost everyone you will interact with there, are very rare. 2. You can feel whole while you are there. Because everything is done in one building you don't have to worry about...can you make the drive to get acupuncture today? Because...you just have to go downstairs to do it. Being able to combine your cancer treatment, acupuncture, massage, nutrition, etc. in one place is a godsend for those with cancer and those taking care of people with cancer. 3. Costs are subsidized. I'm sure that if you don't have insurance that fully covers you it will be eye opening as health care always is, but while you're hear everything is subsidized. The food, getting your hair and nails done, etc. 4. You cannot beat the positivity of everyone around you wanting the best for you including the other patients. My mother came to CTCA as she ran out of options other than trials. They spent a week and a half assessing her situation and finding the right trial for her. At the end of the week and half she received a brain scan that had shown that her cancer had spread to her brain and she had a sizable tumor. The immediately began radiation treatment to get her back to a stable place so she could start her trial. While the entire time she was there (it was only 3 weeks) it was very taxing on me as a caregiver flying back and forth from CA to AZ she couldn't have been with better people or in a better place. She ended up in the hospital twice too and it was so amazing to just have it 1 floor down from her room. Anyway, if you have a loved one try and see if you can go here. It may not work out financially but if you have any way possible of doing this I highly suggest it. I forgot to mention that if it weren't for them we wouldn't have even known about the brain cancer.

my son in law died from cancer because he did not have the right insurance and you refused to treat him i called for weeks and months daily i begged and i cried but you refused to see him because he was poor and sick cancer sucks and so do you because you have no compassion all you care about is the almighty dollar and you should be ashamed

Terrible. This organization wanted alot of personal information prior to allowing consultation regarding my illness. I have complete coverage so affordability wasn't the issue. There are so many other cancer centers who actually care about healing the patient more than your money. CHOOSE someplace else! There are many in Arizona to choose from who don't advertise on television nationally.

I am blessed to have such compassionate people taking care of me. They listen to your concerns and don't rush you. They make sure all your questions are answered and are extremely compassionate. THEY KICKED MY SISTER TO THE CURB IN LESS THAN 14 HOURS FROM RECEVING HER CHEMO INFUSION AND 24 HOURS FROM RECEIVING HER BACK SURGERY AND WITH A PLATELET LEVEL OF 21,000, WITH NO PLANNED TRANSFUSION!! GIVEN ONLY A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AN ONCOLOGIST 51 MILES FROM OUR HOME TO SCHEDULE A NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT!! NO REFILL FOR MEDS WHICH THEY PLACED HER ON MORPHINE!! HER BACK PAIN HAS BEEN 10 FOR OVER 6 MONTHS!! SHE IS RECOVERING FROM A BROKEN ARM. CTCA ACCEPTED MY SISTER WHO IS ON MEDICARE WITH BCBS SECONDARY. DUE TO THE INCREASED CANCER ACTIVITY OF MULTIPLE MYELOMA, MY SISTER IS UNABLE TO WALK. NOW CTCA SAYS SHE IS A HIGH RISK FALL AND THEY CANNOT ACCOMMODATE HER! I AM LEFT TO FIND A NEW ONCOLOGIST, PAIN MEDICINE SPECIALIST AND A BACK SURGEON. DON'T BELIEVE THOSE TELEVISION COMMERCIALS! THEY DO NOT TALK WITH YOU, YOU ARE NOT A TEAM MEMBER! THEY ARE SLOW TO RETURN CALLS. THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. WE HAVE BEEN THERE 6 MONTHS AND HAVE SEEN HER ASSIGNED ONCOLOGIST TWICE. THE TRANSIT DRIVERS DO NOT ASSIST AND ONE IS SO ILL HE CAN BARELY WALK BUT THEY HAVE HIM DRIVING A MEDICAL VAN WHICH I HAD TO PLACE MY SISTER, PUT THE LOCKS ON HER WHEELCHAIR AND SEAT BELT AROUND HER BECAUSE HE COULDNT BEND FOR FEAR HE'D BUST HIS COLOSTOMY BAG. I was told after a pet scan that I had tumors in my liver lungs and spine. Needed biopsy done urgently Most likely metastasized cancer.my doctor was very concerned. Sent to local oncologists in modesto It took me a month to be seen and a month later I still had no idea when they would proceed with the biopsy. I was stress and angry that it was so slow going.constantly calling and inquiring putting pressure to get things done.finally a friend TOLD me she was a patient ant cancer centers of America. I called and they took care of me. I gave the information I had the sent copies of record .they made all the nessacery arraignment for to fly to Phoenix they got me hotel and a very discounted price that was wonderful. I was there three weeks had 4 biopsies done several other test .A team of doctors that kept me informed. Called with results as soon as they had them.kept me sane and felt cared for.they were an answer to my prayers Dr Stephen Lynch was fantastic. Dr jabber the pulmonologist. Is brilliant. Dr Weber the gastrointestinal specialist was warm and kind very informative. All there staff were top notch .state of the art facilities they saved my life and will forever be grateful for there care .God bless all the work you do!!!!!!

To the nurse that sent my mom to internal medicine for further diagnostics and monitoring while she was having extreme panic attacks during her visit, thank you. You were the only one who knew and believed something was seriously wrong. I believe if they proceeded with her chemotherapy as planned she wouldn’t have made it much longer. This was my mom’s final visit to CTCA and I believe her life was prolonged in the best way because you knew she needed medical attention immediately. If I can ever figure out your name, I hope I have the chance to thank you personally for being so empathetic and caring. The doctors here could definitely learn a thing or two from you about compassion. Although no longer here, I know my mother was so grateful to have you there that day.

There are no sufficient words to describe how grateful I am to be a patient at this facility! My doctor and care team are like family to me. They genuinely care about me as a fellow human being. Each time I go, I am visited in my own private room by my oncologist, a naturopathic physician, and a dietician. They spend as much time as I desire going over my results, discussing my treatment, answering questions, and just talking about life in general. I've been a patient for 2 years, and not not once have I felt like my care team was too busy to spend time with me. I could continue to go on and on about how amazing this place is. EVERYTHING about it is wonderful! They are founded on compassionate, advanced, integrative care, determination, and hope! The level of care offered here is above and beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere.

This place isn't any different than any other place. They just offer chemo, radiation and surgery like all the others. The nutritionist tells you to eat more protein and drink water. The naturopath gives you a couple prescriptions. If one cared about really getting well, one would look into a good naturopath that specializes in cancer. Or a clinic like Euromed in North Phoenix and also go to the truth about cancer and cancer tutor on the web. Frankincense essential oil is proven to kill tumors and there are other natural things to reduce cancer cells such as the extensively researched turmeric or one of the compounds in it curcumin. Food is medicine and we are told to move our bodies for good reason. Not the Mayo clinic or this place talk about why you got the cancer. There are other options than the poison, burn and surgery that our western medicine doctors recommend .

Unfortunately, after talking to George Ewert he said that I may not have the right insurance but would look into it and give me a call back and I haven't heard from him since. I have called and left voice messages numerous times and have yet to hear back. Very disheartening.

What a great place for a team approach to the treatment and healing of various cancers. I am so happy to be here in Arizona where their SW location is. They listen, they are a one stop shop. They keep your PCP upto date. Totally professional in your entire time spent here. They have agreements with a few local hotels for $50.00 for multi day appointments

This place ONLY fights cancer! And they do it well! My husband started his treayment in Reno. We fully believe he wouldnt be here today if we hadnt changed places! Reno had him on such a strong dose, that the chemo would have killed him! When we got here, they put him right in their hospital! ALL his counts were in the tank! After his levels came up Dr. Tan started him on half the dose of chemo. Which worked for awhile, and gave him more time. When the chemo stopped working, Dr. Tan put him on Keytruda, an immunotherepy treatment! My husband is doing so well on this so far, that he is going to go back to work at the real estate office! I would highly recommend this place if you have cancer! They give you HOPE here!!!!!!

This place is not good. They don't care about aging people and discriminate if u are on Medicare. All talk on these commercials, but they are a money racket. Better more caring places in Phoenix. Don't waste your time
