Second time using Providence emergency room services since I've been in alaska. First time was a good experience as far as time it took to get checked in, get seen and treated. They were friendly and took care of my pain and medical needs in a timely fashion. And now my second visit, well it was fast considering the number of patients and my reason for visiting. Took care of my pain and set me up with a treatment plan and well I almost didnt want to leave they were all so friendly. The staff made me feel important and that my medical needs were were their top priority. Wont hesitate to use Providence Emergency room if the need arises in the future. Felt blessed!

all they can do is x-ray or give you a diarrhea pill.do not rely on serious research if you have health problems.insurance companies forbid them to use the modern equipment of ultrasound ,MRI,KT,fibergastroscope ,and so an x-ray can and should as if you'll die from exposure the insurance company is not distressed

Lots of waiting and being forgotten about. 4 hours, nothing was accomplished. Had to be pushy to get the hell out of there. I get you are busy and a trauma came through the door. Staff accordingly then. Like the other reviewer said, I died of old age thanks to Providence ER.

Couldn't ask for better care and concern. Had symptoms of possible impending heart attack. Went to the emergency room after driving 200 miles and got right in, they did an EKG within minutes, blood tests, xrays and doctor visit within 45 minutes. Very thankful.

Emergency service is horrible. They will try their best to charge you with the bills.

Horrible service. I don't know why it takes HOURS for a patient to be treated when it takes under an hour at Regional Hospital. Regional is faster, cleaner, and friendlier too. I do NOT recommend Providence ER to ANYONE.

Got in quick enough and the staff was nice. They told me that some lab work they were doing would take 45 minutes, so they sent me home to get some rest. It’s been 48 hours and no call, even after leaving a message with them today to please get in touch with my results. Hopefully seeing my doctor tomorrow will be more productive, just sucks that I have to wait even longer to possibly get antibiotics for what is likely an infection and seems to be spreading.

My husband came into the Emergency Room early Saturday morning with a cough, shortness of breath and no energy. He had been to a Dr. twice before seeking the ER and was told he had bronchitis. Dr. Tiffany Peterson attended to him and informed him - he did not have bronchitis. She quickly started to treat his symptoms which was a heart problem. Long story short - had she just given him another antibiotic and sent him home - he would not be here today. Thank you Dr. Peterson for saving Bob's life!

Great medical professionals that have the care and love for their patients. I have experience both Alaska Native Medical Care versus Providence hospital care. Let me say when you can afford white man health care versus free native medical care. The white man care always my choice. Thank you for all the care your staff provides.

Never going to providence again in my life. Regional is my new hospital. I’ve been dealing with a service bill for nearly five months. Being sent to collections and they won’t even sit me down with a manager to explain. I actually went there today, asked for a manager to talk to. I was put on speaker phone with some less than manager who wasn’t not even willing to do her damn job and take care of the customer. Got nowhere again. Can’t call and get anything done. Can’t put my face in there’s for results either. They don’t want buisness. F ers If you like feeling less than human. More like a dog getting kicked out, this is your hospital! For the rest of the world, at least we have the option of regional hospital. Great work hiring. Lots of people who don’t care at providence. Thank you for your time listening to my rant.
