Incredible first time experience. I was initially scheduled for October but I called this month in June to see if they had any cancellations. They didn’t at the time but they took my info and said they would call if they did. I received a call a week later and was seen within a few days by Brittany Sedlacek, PA-C. Her bright smile lights up the room and puts you right at ease. She was professional, courteous and very thorough. I quite enjoyed her bedside manner. As a former nurse who has worked in the field of Rheumatology it was familiar to me and she was again very knowledgeable. I liked that she made clear what her thoughts were about my case, and discussed a plan for initial treatment. I look forward to seeing her at our follow up and continuing a partnership in my healthcare.

Walk-ins start at 12pm which is when I arrived and about 15 minutes later I was seen for pain in my left shoulder. X-ray was done. The PAC didn't seem to be to sure if the problem was arthritis or not. Then prescribed Celebrex but told me to contact my back surgeon to see if they are ok with me taking the medication.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! When I first arrived there, I thought it was going to b at maximum a 10 minute wait time, but I was wrong, waited for about an hour and I got there right when they opened, so I just decided to leave without getting an x-ray (which is what I came there for). Not to mention they let someone who I came before go back before me. Also, instead of taking patients they were just sitting back there eating! I went on a Saturday so it opens at 12 so they should of had a meal before they came here. Very disappointed. DO NOT GO HERE!!

The PA-C I saw acted like my problem didn't warrant a visit to the clinic. The original diagnosis form, the referring physician, turned out to be wrong. The PA-C seemed to take great pleasure in telling me that it wasn't osteonecrosis, but it was arthritis because I was getting old. It felt like a personal jab like I wasn't aware that I'm 44 years old. I wouldn't waste my time or medical professional's time if I wasn't in tremendous pain and wasn't sure what was causing the horrible pain.

I guess they were okay in that they gave me a script for the physical therapy I needed, but both visits I had, they kept me waiting 45 minutes to an hour after my scheduled appointment time. The receptionists were cold, and I never saw a real doctor, only a P.A. He was dismissive of my injury and not very informative.

We were in Alaska on vacation and needed to see someone. OPA was able to get us in very quickly. The new patient process was outstanding since all the paperwork could be done online before we arrived. Check in took less than 5 minutes and we were in to see the doctor 10 minutes later. Everyone was very nice and very efficient. We saw Travis and he provided us with excellent service. He was very thorough and provided detailed explanations for our issue. The facility was clean and very modern. We needed x-rays done and that was done right on site in less than 10 minutes. We were very impressed with our entire experience with OPA.

First visit was billed as round 400 and they didn't even find anything wrong on my left hand. Doc felt around my wrist and said " oh yeah I can definitely feel something wrong". Got an x-ray and they found nothing. Doc gave me a brace and said come back to do a possible MRI. MRI cost according to Google can range from 600-800, on top of the 215 they charge for the visit. So I would have to essentially spend around 800-1000 BEFORE I even find out what wrong with my hand. The health care system in America is a joke. People were nice though

I’ll have another MRI and then another follow up. I wish I would have went there in the first place for all of my physical therapy and MRI’s. I just didn’t know about them until Surgery seemed to be in my future! I recommend him highly. His nurse assistant left a lot to be desired, especially patient confidentiality breach. She was the only let down of the whole appointment. Otherwise, this would’ve been a 5-star visit!

As accident prone family we’ve had many trips to OPA over the years. The entire staff is great! We tend to go to the anchorage walk in and have had a great experience every time. They were very understanding about my sons sensory sensitivity when he broke his arm. Took the time at each step to explain what was about to happen, were patient and kind. The casting team even designed him a transformer for his cast (something they do for all kids). Can’t recommend enough.

Went in for thirty minute appointment and came out in more pain than I went in with. The Dr. Was a joke. Acted like I was bothering him. I have seen two different doctors in the past few years and they both told me different things. one wanted to do partial shoulder replacement and I had arthritis in my shoulder. Yesterday the Dr told me a complete different story. They can't make there minds up. One of them is lying to me. I'm in more pain than I went in with in the beginning. Hope they can make better decession. I would never recommend Dr Hall to anyone. He was a jurk only thing I can think of is that he acted like I was bothering him or it because I was was on Medicaid and Medicare it seems like they were not going to make the big dollars on me. I had asked for the first Dr. I had seen but ended up with this jurk. Would even recommend him to my died cat. He would have some smart remark about it. He has no bed side matter at all and doesn't listen to the patient. He treated my caregiver even worse. They need to get it together or close their doors before they hurt someone else like they did me.

From the start; friendly front desk experience; Stephanie was fun, informative, and went above and beyond. "I like to treat people how I'd like to be treated" was her answer when I told her she treated me above and beyond, and i was so thankful and grateful. During my stay, I could hear her out in her station, phoning here, phoning there, phoning everyone, it seemed; to try to fit me into an MRI appointment ASAP for my injury. Normally id have to wait three weeks to get an MRI approved; with my insurance; She did it! She pulled it off, and I was able to get an MRI the next day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such kind, and serving attitude. I wish we all treated eachother this way. I know I can certainly do better at this. Dr. Ellis was fantastic as well. Very personable, informative, and seemed sensitive to someone who struggles a bit in living. The most outstanding memory was the "Office talk." There was laughter, comradery, teamwork, uplifting communication. Seemed a fun and uplifting place to work. And I was just there for a visit!!! Thank you so much everybody for the kindess, the cheer, and positive energy I got to share. Its important to me on how us humans treat eachother. This place will be my first thought for future help for me, and for anyone I can pass this Office's services to.

Ortho of Alaska is wonderful. Always so helpful!! I see Dr. Engler there and she is hands down one of the best doctors I've ever worked with. Kind, compassionate, and so clearly brilliant. I feel luck to have found this place.

Five stars because my doctor is awesome and I never have to wait long. I’m usually there early and I can get in and out pretty quick. My only problem is that sometimes I feel like a number and not a person. Doctor is very busy and I don’t feel he spends enough time to answer questions. His staff and PA have always been very helpful and knowledgeable but sometimes I’d just like to chat with my doctor.

My initial visit to OPA was very good. First , they were very accommodating because I was having trouble with transpo. They were able to reschedule me without me having to wait a long time. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted with courtesy and did not wait long for my appt. They explained everything nicely and I was asked at least twice if I had any questions. The people in exray were professional and competent as was the doctor I saw. I am looking forward to some resolve concerning my present issues. I feel I am in good hands!

The process for setting up an appointment & being seen is horrible. The receptionist was supposed to have someone call me back & no one did. When I followed up 3 days later they said they didn’t get the message. When we got to our appointment they made us wait for over 40 minutes in a waiting area full of people who were waiting to be seen by other medical offices. All of the offices are private but th waiting area is crowded & disgusting. The service overall was horrible. I don’t recommend these people & thank God we won’t be back.

I just want to let everyone know that OPA is the place to go. I slipped an fell on the ice am fractured my wrist. I went in to see Dr Powell he is a great guy ant the staff is top notch. They are very professional ,nice and friendly. I had to get a cast an staff was si nice and I got a really cool Dallas cowboy cast. This is a great place an they will take excellent care of you.

The service and staff were wonderful! I only gave a 4 star bc it took so long. We got to the walk in clinic about 12:45pm and my 5 yr old son finally had a cast on by 4pm. We couldn’t schedule an appointment bc they didn’t have any availabilities for the same day which is fine. But it was hard waiting 3 hours with two little ones. BUT, the staff was kind and helpful and happy which is awesome!!! The guy who actually put the cast on my son was a crack up and made us very comfortable! He gets 5 stars!! The facility was clean, modern and well arranged! I also loved the tablet for filling out the forms instead of writing it all down!! Very nice! I do recommend OPA!

Dr Botson is a very caring and personable doctor. I was in for a consultation and knee injection this week. I can now lift my left leg without the intense pain I was living with. His assistant listened to me and was very helpful as well. Your front desk staff have always been attentive and helpful.
