I have been going to Union Hair Parlor for several years now. Love this place. I get my hair cut only 3-4 times per year as I keep it long, but my stylist, Lucas, remembers me and our conversations every time. Plus, he's magical if you ever want to do some fun colors in your hair. (I'm currently rocking some electric blue!) I would highly recommend Union Hair Parlor and Lucas to anyone!

I got my eye lashes tinted and I can barely tell there was anything done. I guess a lack of communication was the issue. I made a comment that I didn't like putting on mascara so I kind of assumed, it would look like I had mascara on. I have had my eyelashes done at another salon and that was exactly how they looked, so I assumed that was the result I would get. I was disappointed and feel it was a waste of time and money.

This is my new favorite place to get my hair cut. I called the day before and they were able to fit me in not problem. The atmosphere is really nice and I got one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a while.

Cuts are ok; customer service is terrible. I've gone here three times and each time has progressively been worse than the time before. The attitudes have always been hard to deal with, but to have a customer come in at their appointment time and wait 45 minutes because the stylist didn't make it in on time isn't acceptable. This has happened twice. No "im sorry for the wait' or anything- its just expected you'll wait it out. The third time I actually got in on time, and the cut was ok, but the stylist was just short and rude. I guess if you have someone you consistently go to you'll probably be ok. If you don't, go elsewhere and don't bother with this place.

May 2019, Editing from 4 to 2 stars. I emailed them over a week ago to ask about an update to when the online scheduling will be back and have heard nothing. Communication is important, and they are dropping the ball. But hey, if you are obsessed with cars and parking, they are posting near daily updated on the status of Winnebago Street. We know they can keep us updated, I wish the same was happening for the online scheduling system. It went down in August of 2018, so I suspect we will hit a year before anything happens. I have never had a bad experience here. However, I am quite disappointing at the removal of online scheduling tool. My first visit to Union was before I even moved here. I had my hair cut by Bria while I was in town for an interview. It was perfect. Since moving here I have been primarily getting my hair cut by Jessica, and it is always amazing. I switched to an undercut, and she does such a great job with it. She does great designs in it as well, both creative ideas off the top of her head, and things I show her a picture of. She is also a pleasure to chat with. Service has always been great by everyone I encountered including the receptionists. My only disappointment is the removal of the online scheduling system. It seems to have gone away around August 2018 and has yet to be replaced as of February 2019. Trying to find a hair cut appointment for a stylist that is quite in demand while having a busy schedule myself, is a struggle. I don't want to have to go through my whole schedule with a receptionist while trying to find a time. I want to do that myself. Please bring this vital tool back.

I got my hair cut by Mary and I have never been happier!! I went from very thick shoulder length mixed curly hair, to a beautiful curly pixie cut. She asked questions, I showed her a picture from reference and she matched it perfectly!! I am very happy and will be going here for all my haircut needs from now on!

I took my 5 year old to cut his hair. That staff was very friendly and kept my kid comfortable during the whole experience. It is a little expensive but it seems like that's the case with every hair dresser in that neighborhood.

This place is perfect. The staff is so very friendly, it's pretty easy to get an appt with the stylist you want, and they do an amazing job! I've had a big change haircut and facial waxing done here, and they are fantastic! The salon is also so cute and fun. I would recommend this salon to everyone!

FIRE THE RECEPTIONIST. The stylists at this salon are probably good at their jobs since there are so many good reviews, that is also the reason I called. However, the reception is so rude, talking in a way like the customer is owing her something or begging to make an appointment. Without answering questions, she pushed me to make an appointment. While talking to me, she still talked very loudly in background with someone else. Without any doubts, i would give one star. I will never go to this place because of her. The hair salon should find someone better especially if her only way to get paid is to talk to customers.

If you have curly hair, go see Karlijn! She is fantastic. Every cut I get from her brings out my curls in the most beautiful way. I've been stopped in different states multiple times by people asking where I get my hair done! On top of that, Union has a great selection of cruelty-free products.

My wedding party and I got our hair done at Union Hair Parlor, and we absolutely loved it! We had a large group, and we were able to reserve part of the salon for our bridal group. It was really great to have everyone together like that, and it allowed things to feel a bit more private/like we weren't in the way of others at the salon. We were also able to bring in breakfast/beverages for the group, which was incredibly helpful! We were all able to eat and hangout and get ready together the morning of the wedding, thanks to the setup at the salon. Coordinating everything with Ari from the salon was great and it all went very smoothly. Laura did my bridal updo, as well as some other hairstyles for the bridesmaids. She was INCREDIBLE! She was totally open to ideas/suggestions, and my hair turned out exactly as I had hoped. She's also just incredibly kind and friendly, and I would recommend her to anyone for their wedding or just for a hair stylist in general.

I went in for my first haircut at Union, and couldn't have been happier with the experience! The stylists/staff are very friendly, inviting, and definitely listen to their clients. The cherry on top was that my cut was affordable!

So i came here over the summer getting my hair done ombre and i normally have really thick curly hair thats dark brown, i also recently got a hair cut around that time too but from a different hair salon, the lady who did my hair was very very nice i love her a lot her name is Maddi, but it's just when she dyed my hair she over bleached my hair and i didn't notice until i got home but i combed through my hair and CHUNKS of my hair ripped off atleast around 5 inches long!! and all my curls were completely gone! i tried everything i could to fix my hair so i went to another salon and the lady said my hair was severely damaged when she fixed it. It's been 6 months now and my hair is still like this, all dried up, frizzy, breaking off everywhere, and i can''t get it cut off because my hair is still too short! And this costed me 140 dollars here.... all of that money just to ruin my hair. It took me such a long time to finally give feedback but im not normally the one to complain, i feel bad but at the same time its better that i said something then never. i have to say i love this salon so much but i wont ever come back here because i have to look at my hair everyday and straighten it because im still with this broken, damaged, frizzy hair, i just miss my curly hair, but thats my review

I had a great experience with Camille on my first visit. I wanted to get highlights done but wasn't sure what it was I wanted. Camille was very nice and patient. She went over different colors with me until I was set on the look I wanted. I loved the end result and overall had a very good experience. I would recommend this place and Camille to anyone!

I wish I could say it was lovely... unfortunately I had the only bad haircut I've ever had in my life? Camille was my hairdresser, and a very nice woman, but I asked for "chin length hair with some layers to lighten it up and bring out some curls/waves" and unfortunately she took that to mean ear length hair that will be layered so short that it is too short to naturally curl. My beautiful thick hair has been reduced to thin, teenage boy hair and I honestly think she thought she was doing me a favor by making it not thick. My advice if you go here is to be very clear about what you mean for your haircut. I thought I was. I probably won't return. Back to the Aveda beauty school.

Went 4 times and tried 3 different stylists. Most recently was overcharged for what was listed for the kids cut for that stylist and the cut looks awful. Would absolutely not recommend for a kids cut. Edit: I did end up speaking with someone who was able to track down a manager, and was refunded for the cut. The hair ended up much too short, so there isn’t much to be done, but everyone I spoke with was kind about it. I personally would not go back for a kids cut, but everyone there is very nice.

Good location but no parking. Clean shop. Decent people. I ended up having to go back for a second color process because my stylist didn't get it quite right the first time. No big deal though, because they fixed it for free and got me in the next day to have it fixed. Overall very happy.

I've been a really happy customer of this shop for a while (especially with Jamie Seroogy, who's been my barber for a good while now). I never feel like I'm out of place here--great friendly staff, chill, laid-back service, and they really want you to walk out with hair you feel good about, and they work with you to do it, even if it means forgoing an upsell on some product or more expensive style/service.

I won't get my hair done anywhere else. Daisy & Rosa and the whole team at Union Hair Parlor are all absolutely amazing. I always look forward to getting my hair cut. They have a mini fridge fully stocked which is such a treat. You can book online anytime with their website- but be aware that it'll take almost a month most of the time before you can get an appointment. 100% worth it though. If you have curly hair, this is absolutely the place to go.
