I have had many bad experiences with other hairstylist at other hair salon's when coloring my hair that it was very hard to trust someone to do my hair again. But ever since i found Brittney she made that fear disappear! She is very knowledgeable, honest and super sweet. She really knows how to take care of your hair and get you the color and hairstyle you always wanted. If your having trouble finding a great hairstylist i suggest you go with Brittney she is the best!

I went in for an updo for a wedding, never having been to this salon before. Jensen was my stylist and she did an amazing job. I had a few photos from Pinterest of what I was generally looking for and she nailed it. She regularly checked in with me to make sure none of the bobby pins were uncomfortable and was a pleasure to chat with during the process. My hair was comfortable all day and not a single hair fell out after over 12 hours, including many hours of dancing. Yet when it came time to take it down, all the bobby pins came out easily and my hair wasn't a nasty mess of hair spray. Very expertly done. I highly recommend both Scottfree Salon and Jensen!

When scheduling my appointment (being a first time customer) a gentleman answered the phone and made it super easy to fit something into my crazy busy schedule. He also helped me make an appointment with one of their professionals that he thought would best fit my hair dilemma situation. I went in to get a bad grown out balayage fixed. Natalja exceeded my expectations and did a fantastic job. Words cannot describe how happy I am with the results. She treated myself & other customers that were there like family. I have been to many high end expensive salons and Scottfree has been the best by making sure I was comfortable & that I understood what was being done to my hair during the process every step of the way. I really don't know how these people walked out with a good color, but I went to Scottfree for an ombre with Jensen (basically JoJo Fletcher hair), and three days later when I looked at the back, realized it looked like one of the horrendous bad ombres you see on Instagram. I called and emailed pictures, explained the situation, and asked for a more senior stylist to fix it. But all she did was add some color to the front, and barely blended the harsh line in the back, which was the real problem. I was basically in tears in the chair as the bleach was setting, and asked her why the back wasn't blended more. She told me there wasn't much she could do since she wasn't the original stylist that did it and just washed it out and put toner in. I told them I was still really, really upset with the results and that I just wanted a refund, and made an appointment with my old salon in downtown Chicago to get it fixed. That was when things got extremely nasty. The owner, Scott Yance, told me to come in just so he could "check the integrity of my hair," turned me around from the mirror while he was talking to me (I later learned he was secretly taking pictures of it while the stylist was holding it out in certain ways--which is insane and seems illlegal) so he could try to refute my claims. Joke's on him, because in that lighting it actually looked like nothing was done to my dark brown hair at all, so anyone would want a refund just for that... He tried to convince me to have a third stylist work on it, and when I said I wasn't comfortable with that, since I had already asked them to fix it and it didn't work, he asked me what I paid for it and if I wanted the entire amount refunded with tip or just the base charge. I said the base charge was fine, Jensen could keep the $40 tip. He agreed to it, but also meanwhile completely flipped his lid, proceeded to yell at me that I was scamming him, to get the h*ll out of his salon (like I would ever set foot in there again based on my experience, even before he went psycho?). Moral: Unless your friend works here, avoid this salon. The owner is volatile and crazy, and no one should be treated that way, period. For pictures (both his and mine), go on facebook and look at my review. I would have been happy to accept the refund and just let bygones be bygones, because stylists make mistakes too, but after the way I was treated, I will make absolutely sure everyone hears about the other side to this salon.

I spent $50 for a Mens haircut with Jennifer and the experience was nowhere close to it for many reasons. I arrived on time for my appointment but she was running behind on her last appointment. After waiting for a while she started cutting my hair but then went away for a few minutes to finish her previous appointment. I had water all over my shirt from washing my hair. She cut it too short and not exactly what I had asked for. And finally when she was all done I had hair all over my shirt. Never going back there again!

If I could do zero stars I would. I was charged almost $500 for a balayage!!! Was not told there was "upcharges" because the women doing my hair was a "senior" stylist. I have had my hair done MULTIPLE times in the past for the SAME style and has never been more than 250. I didn't even get the look I wanted. Management refused to give me an sort of discount even though they were not honest about pricing. What is listen online is NOT CORRECT. Oh and my hair is turning BLUE! My hair has been blonde for years and I have never had any issues like this. Please please please save your money and go somewhere more professional and worth your time. Just because it 'looks' like a nice salon means nothing!

I was told about this salon from a friend a while ago but it took me time to build up the courage to change my hair style. When I went in, Emily asked me what I was looking for, how I styled my hair, what I did with my time and how much effort did I want to put into the hair style. I donated 10+ inches of my hair, had it cut and colored and can honestly say that I love it so much that I won't let anyone else touch my hair anymore. I keep coming back again and again for their excellent service. Before I leave each time, they double check to make sure I like the style and color and that I am happy with it. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave the salon.

As a dark brunette I was a little scared to add light highlights to my hair but after reading the great reviews I decided to go for it. Well I am floored! Lori did the most amazing job and I will never go anywhere else again. I would have paid double for what a transformation she did on my hair! Not only with the highlights but also the amazing cut! I don't remember one time that I have ever been this happy with my hair!!! The salon was also great! The front desk guy not only offered me coffee but asked me exactly how I liked it . This salon is worth every dollar I paid and more:)

An absolute FABULOUS experience here for my wedding hair and makeup! Believe me, I did a LOT of research on hair and makeup artists, so trust me when I tell you to trust the great reviews, do not hesitate and book now, brides! The whole experience was great, and this was absolutely the easiest part of my wedding to plan/book. All the staff was wonderful, and their location gorgeous too. I specifically worked with Dani Headley, and she is such a creative, professional, talented individual. My first hair and makeup trial was spot on, exactly what I wanted. Then when I called her months later saying I found a different, antique (slightly more difficult to work with) headpiece, she fit me in the schedule for another hair trial, listened to my vision and created another secure, gorgeous style with the new piece, leaving me feeling confident once again. On the wedding day she arrived at our getting ready location on time, positive and ready to go. I was confident about her abilities, and so were my bridesmaids after she did all my bridesmaids for hair so quickly and off of what they wanted, even having never met them before (most were from out of state). She also did my mother-in-law's hair as well, leaving her feeling beautiful. My hair and makeup went off without a hitch as well. Payment on the wedding day was not confusing and easy to figure out. Unsurprisingly, all of our hair was beautiful, looked professionally done and lasted ALL DAY long. The only thing I touched up on my makeup was the outer corners of my eyes after a couple happy tears escaped during the ceremony, but that was more of a personal preference to feel more "put together" again :) Hopefully the photos do her work justice, and I will absolutely recommend Dani and Scottfree Salon for all brides and special occasions!

For those looking for a quick review: I absolutely recommend Scottfree. If you've come this far, just go check them out. Ask for Parker, but everyone I see walk out of there looks great. If you like your reviews with a little more detail, this one is for you. Let me start by saying that I am very particular about my cut and style. More so than most guys, I would think. I bounced around from stylist to stylist at other places until I landed at Scottfree. I started with Mara. She gave me an excellent cut, but I didn't connect with her the way I would want with my stylist. My next cut was randomly scheduled with Parker. Absolutely nailed it. I haven't even come close to considering a change. Parker doesn't just cut hair. To him, it's an art form, and he is an excellent individual to spend an hour with. There is always a great positive atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Try it once, and if you don't like it the least you'll walk out with is a great haircut. Spoiler alert, you're going to come back.

Best hairstylist I've been to in a really long time (Jennifer)! Definitely best place to go in Milwaukee... really, it's probably the best salon in Wisconsin! I think I'll be sticking to this Salon for life! It's been nearly a decade since I moved away from my stylist in California, and that's how long I've been looking for someone who can work with my thick, naturally wavy hair. I've been to just about every salon and stylist within a 2-3 hour radius of Milwaukee, and nothing comes close to Scottfree!! They are miracle workers it seems, and most definitely ridiculously talented!

Having moved to Milwaukee from Brooklyn,I struggled to find a hair salon that fed my soul--sounds weird, I know, but I needed a place that was aesthetically pleasing and delivered edgy results. Needless to say when I found Scottfree Salon my search was over. First, the space itself is amazingly unique. Second, the people who work there, especially Calla, are these artistic geniuses who will blow you away--not only with a hairdryer--but with a finished result you cannot achieve anywhere else in this city. I am so happy I found a little bit of Brooklyn flare at Scottfree, and I guarantee you that if you went you would find just what you have been searching for too.

Terrible experience. Just moved from Atlanta and decided to try Scottfree. Cheyenne was my stylist, my first appointment we had a pretty length detailed consultation. I told Cheyenne I was not happy with the current color I had (golden tone) my hair has always been dark brown with ash-blonde tone highlights. I explained to her that I wanted to get back to the ash color. She proceeded to say that she would do highlights and when she got to the top half of my hair she stopped and said she was just going to do low light at the top so it wouldn’t be too light. I thought this was very strange but I didn’t say anything. When I get home and I start playing with my hair it looks like I have 3” of growth and like I need to get my hair done again. Even my husband noticed it. I call the salon and explain the situation and set up another appointment to have this corrected. Cheyenne seemed a bit bothered in the beginning that I came back. She was talking to me as if she did exactly what I told her to do not once apologizing which is fine. Then proceeds to charge me again full price for a partial highlight. I shouldn’t have paid but I did. I sent her a message that evening letting her know you can barely see the highlights and they still look golden not ash! She tells me that I keep contradicting what I want. Talk about great customer service! I called Kyle because at this point I am pissed! How hard is it to get ash highlights vs golden tones. And how many times do I have to say I want ash highlights???? But apparently I am being contradicting in my message. At this point I want a refund for the $85 why do I have to pay twice for a service that should have been executed the first time??? Kyle told me he cannot give me a refund but he can set me up with another stylist and apply the $85 towards that service. Which means I will have to pay the difference. So 3 appointments in a span of 3 weeks and 3 separate payments. Terrible customer service! Very disappointed in how this situation was handled. I have pictures to show the bad job that was performed.

Came for an appointment upstairs and had the rudest experience with the staff at Scottfree. I thought I was just thinking too far into it until I was explaining to a coworker the next day about how uncomfortable I felt and she told me she has had the same experience being a customer there and that she personally knows a few ex-employees who left because they couldn't deal with the attitude issues. Reyna is a master colorist!!! I’ve been getting my hair done with Reyna for the past year almost, and I loved my hair each time I left Scottfree especially the color, Reyna was able to get the color and tone I like and ensure I have no red anywhere in my hair. on a lazy day last Saturday I decided to go to a different salon (closer to home) to get my roots done. Long story short I ended up with dark brown hair with red tone that is / was the ugliest thing I’ve seen - called my Reyna and she saved the day as usual and was able to get the red out or most of it at least and correct my color by a lot. Reyna is dedicated, listens well and is always delivers with great results. Love the salon vibe, music, decor and the simplicity - very chic!

This is the best experience I've had since visiting a salon on the Vegas strip for A LOT less money!!! Reyna is AMAZING!!! I have a combination of super curly hair at the roots and underneath my hair then it turns wavy to straight on top of my hair, all the while being fried and frizzy. Reyna's haircut not only was flattering but also easy to style. She TOTALLY gets how my hair is unruly! I could go on and on, but, just GO!!! You won't be disappointed!

Haircut and stylist were great. But pricing is deceiving. The website lists men’s haircut at 35. When I scheduled I wasn’t made aware of increases associated to level of stylist. I was charged 55. Certainly understandable if this is the case, but bad business practice to not make that clear.

I've been going to the same stylist for over 20 years so when I received a gift to have my hair cut at Scottfree, I was tentative. The moment I walked into the salon, I was greeted by every person I passed and my name was displayed on their welcome board making me feel extra special. Matty cut my hair and I was amazed when he finished. The cut wasn't a major change from what I had before (which I was grateful for) but I noticed the subtle changes and loved the outcome! He even took the time to show me some tips when styling it myself at home. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I've already booked my next appointment.

It is natural looking which is what I was looking for, and since my hair has so much gray it is great to have someone find that color balance so it looks just right.
