AVOID!!! My daughter has had her eyebrows waxed for years and never once experienced the horror she did at Saxy! They ripped layers of skin off her eye lids and then tried to blame her! They took no responsibility and proceeded to charge us for it. I will tell everyone I know to AVOID this place and I will show them the pictures I have too.

Professionalism is lacking at this salon. I went there several times as to give them the benefit of the doubt and a few of those times I was pleased, but after two particular instances I will not go back and will definitely not recommend them to others. 1st I scheduled an appointment a month ahead of time to get hair done for a wedding party, I paid several hundred dollars over the phone as a down payment and noted I want to take 25 dollars off of each of the girls total and they can pay the rest. The day we got our hair done they still charged each of the girls an extra 25 even though I told them the morning of I had already paid some $ towards each of their hair dos. If I would not have said anything I would have gotten charged the extra 200 $ I put down to hold the appointments as they did not credit each of them the difference initially . Additionally I called the salon the day before to confirm we all needed to start at 8 am as we needed to be done by 10:00, which I had also confirmed a month ago, and she said the stylists will be in at 8 am you are all set. When we all showed up the next day one stylist was there with the rest not coming on until 9 am. We did not get done until 1030 and the wedding was delayed. 2nd I went to get my hair done there making an appointment for a foil. I showed the stylist some colors I liked and the stylist got started. The stylist put color all over my hair, and I said what about the foils. The stylist noted you will like this better. I did not like the color at all, the stylist offered to redo it and did, but then wanted to charge me another $85 for a color I was completely dissatisfied with and am still trying to fix, plus I had to come back in to get it fixed and drive another 30 minutes. The staff is also trying to up sell products which gets old every time you go in, especially after spending a fortune to get your hair done. Then they want you to buy $100 of products. I feel that this place is dishonest and very unprofessional. This is true and my name is Keri Perna. Thank you.

My review of Saxy Salon. Let's start off with the super Chic decor and warm environment that makes Saxy Salon stand out from the competition. So, typically I have anxiety about getting my hair cut. Like what if it"s not what I want.. what if I dislike it the next morning (haircut remorse). This is not the case. My stylist Sarah White has always made my experience a stress free one. Not only is she super friendly and personable. She made me feel confident in my hair style choice and was super patient and didn't rush the process. She asked for my opinion through the cut to make sure it was EXACTLY what I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Sarah White at Saxy Salon!!

I walked in and they were super busy so I wasn’t expecting to get in right away. One of the hair dressers was super busy but saw me, grabbed me and said I can do it and was able to get my hair cut with a strip of color in it. This happened within 5 minutes on a Friday afternoon!! I went in for a manicure and I was so happy to see they use all non-toxic nail polish, they’re the only salon in Eau Claire I’ve found who does! Have never had a bad experience here. Hairdressers are super friendly and if you are specific about your haircut they will make sure to do it how you like and ask before they do anything you didn’t ask for. Usually great Groupon deals, friendly staff and nice layout and environment, very comfortable and clean. Prices are a little high without any deals but well worth it.

I am very disappointed with the last eyebrow wax I received here. One eyebrow is now visibly thinner and more arched than the other. Stray hairs were left unplucked. In parts of both brows it was clear she took off too much hair, ruining the shape of both of my brows. There are just random little chunks of hair missing and now I’m embarrassed to go out without filling in my brows. I didn’t tell my stylist about these problems in fear that she would make my brows even thinner, I would rather wait for the hair to grow back and fill it in in the meantime.

This was my first time here at Saxy Salon. I was very impressed with their overall appearance and selection of products ranging from hair, makeup, and tanning. It is very sophisticated and professional. I made an appointment with Sarah W. very easily on the MINDBODY app. She cut and styled my hair and I preferred her experience with curly hair cutting. Sarah listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. I will be coming back to Saxy Salon in the future and requesting her again. She made me feel comfortable and welcome. Guys. I am sitting in Saxy as I type this, getting my coloured by Lindsey, and I am having the best time. I put off writing this review for a couple days because I honestly thought I was just being picky, but after having one of my extensions pop off in the shower I felt the need to share. I had UV gel extensions put on my nails 7 days ago. When arriving at the salon after making my appointment a couple hours ahead of time online they told me that the scheduling was messed up and that I would have to wait an additional 45 minutes. Not a huge deal, I said I would wait. When my stylist arrived we briefly discussed what I wanted for my nails, which was a short matte black stiletto. The process itself went fine, and I was very happy with my nails when she was completed. Upon going out to my car and being in the sunlight, however, I realized that the black she use was more of a dark gray and was sheer when my nails were held up to the light. The job on the lacquer was streaky and left my nails looking cheap. The shape was inaccurate throughout all of the nails and the matte top coat was thicker in some spots than in others which made the nails look bubbly. I paid $61 for the service and am very upset because something that should have lasted 14 to 16 days only lasted 7. I will be going elsewhere to have the rest of the nails taken off later and will not be returning here for any future purposes.

The atmosphere and stylists were fun, upbeat, kind and out of their way to acknowledge you. With that being said I got a full set of nails done while here in town for the week. I do not live here I am here bear hunting. It is the most expensive Nails I have ever paid for and mind you I have been getting my nails done for the past 10 plus years. And they are the worst set of nails I have ever had. 2 tips broke off the very next day. They look horrible and I can feel how flimsy the others are and can guarantee they will not stay on for 2 weeks. I have a difficult time writing a bad review because the stylists there were all very amazing fun and friendly. But the Nail Tech just doesn't know how to put nails on yet as she is new. I want my $60 back. I will never go back to this salon and that makes me sad because it was a very very friendly atmosphere.

For 2/3 of the times I have gotten my haircut here, I had a good experience. I used to see lIndsey but she was not available. This last time, they were fifteen minutes behind on my appointment. The gal that shampoo-ed my hair was condescending about my haircare routine, saying "do you really think your hair has volume?" after I said I thought it did. I know I am not an expert in haircare but her attitude was disappointing and made me feel inadequate. Both stylists I had were pushing products to sell throughout my cut. I think I will pursue other options.

I used to think box dying my hair was the greatest thing ever. It was fast, cheap and easy to do. Until it turned my hair orange and I couldn’t get my blonde back. I went in to see Sarah at Saxy Salon and she nailed it! She brought back my natural blonde hair color. But I didn’t learn and box dyed my hair again. This time it faded green. But Sarah yet again saved me! I can go in there with damaged ugly ass hair and leave feeling like a million box. I checked available appointments on the website and saw there were a couple stylists with open schedules. When I arrived I was rudely told that they were busy all morning. I pointed out their online scheduling showed time available, the lady at the counter advised she would only have 15 min until the next appointment. I gave her the name of the stylist with the completely open schedule knline, and was told SHE'S BUSY. I don't like being lied to, or being talked to in such a condescending manner. Would not recommend.

I have never lived in the Eau Claire area at all. I used to live two hours away, but now I live in Oshkosh, which is three. I have literally traveled across the state to have my hair/eyebrows done by Cassy for the last two years almost. Cassy is extremely professional and attentive to detail. She asks more than once before and during my appointments about what I want to ensure me having the ideal outcome that every girl envisions in their head after leaving a salon. Cassy is easy to talk to, narrates what she is doing or about to do (which is helpful and reassuring if you're like me and know nothing about hair), and always keeps in touch to make sure I am happy with the service. As for Saxy itself, it is a wonderfully decorated salon with a happy, friendly environment. My very first pedicure was at Saxxy, with Stylist/Cosmologist Sarah. My youngest sister was preparing for her baby shower and reaching her toes was out of the question!! I couldn't think of a better gift than a pedicure to not only relax her but add some lavish to her beauty, for such a special day. The initial appointment was scheduled with two Cosmologists, when arriving we were told there was only one available to perform the hour pedicures on both of us,( due to last minute misplacement). We contemplated going elsewhere, but Sarah assured me that she'd be able to attend to the both of us and provide the quality of service we were expecting and paying for. I chose to stay and very glad I did! I have been going to Sarah every month ever since. I'm normally not one to leave reviews, but I had such a horrible experience I felt that it was needed. First of all, the stylist who did my hair had a horrible attitude the whole time. She wasn't very talkative with me, yet was talking to the girl sitting next to me getting her hair done instead. When she washed my hair she told me it took some time for it to warm up, but didn't wait for that to happen and the water was cold the entire time. I felt like she was hurrying through the whole thing and I was inconveniencing her. AND I told her I wanted it shoulder length and it ended being about 1-2 inches shorter than that. I wasn't going to leave a review because hair grows backs and people have bad days... But on top of all that, I had straightened my hair a week later (instead of curling) and realized it was not cut evenly! There were so many spots around my head where there was random long pieces.

I went here one time about 3 years ago.. My hair cut wasn't bad, but it was shorter than i had wanted cut. Went there this year and absolutely hated how many hair turned out, that i came back 2 or 3 days later to get it fixed but since it was so short, there wasn't much to fix n i left still hating it. Still waiting for it to grow back out. 2 hair stylists were arguing and talking trash about each other in front of me and 3 other clients. Not very professional. Very expensive. I have been going to this salon for around 6 years Laura is amazing she does my hair an eyebrows an also I bring my kids in an she does their hair as well! All the staff their are super friendly! I recommend this place to everyone because I know You will not be disappointed!

Sarah White does my hair and has never failed to do a perfect job. I have naturally reddish orange hair so it’s very hard to color and she makes it look so natural to the point I don’t have to come in every 6 weeks for maintenance. I am not sure I’ll let anyone else touch my hair she’s so good!

I got the gel nail extensions done a few weeks ago. I went in on a Tuesday and was leaving to go out of town Friday morning, I noticed one of the nails had broken off. I didn’t have time to go in and get it fixed before I left for the weekend. As the night went on one after another started to pop off. The nails lasted a whole 3 days! I wrote an email to the salon and asked for a refund for the service. I was not offered to come back in to get the nails reapplied or anything was just offered a store credit to be used on hair services only. I have a stylist at another salon and am not interested at all in a credit for a hair service. I then read another review in google finding out I was not the only person to have this issue. When I emailed them back just saying I’d like a refund and then pointed out the other review I have had no response. I got my nails done at a different salon and told the nail technician about what happened and showed her a picture and she explained to me why I ended up having issues with the nails. I spent a lot of money here and would just like people to be aware of this issue.
