She never rushes through my time, asks if there are any changes I'd like and makes sure that I am happy with the style and cut. I have also been very pleased with the other services Ruffolo's has to offer. Everyone there tries to help meet your needs. I would highly recommend Ruffolo's and if you're looking for a superb stylist - ask for Vanessa.

To those of you with long luscious locks and the dreaded fear of going to a new person or even a new Salon... this is for you... Thank you to Tom Tassi (Owner of Absolute Computer Systems in Kenosha, WI.) for referring me to Ruffolo's Hair Studio. Upon walking in, I was extremely nervous about this unknown place and the person potentially touching my lovely brunette locks. To my dismay, the front desk kindly greeted and welcomed me immediately walking in the door (even with guests at the front desk and others in the waiting area). It felt as if I just walked in to an old friend's house that I haven't seen in over 10 years. The overbearing angst of this unknown person to call my name was nerve wracking. The thoughts raced through my head, "Does she know how to cut long hair?", "What if she is new?", "Did she just graduate?", "What if she cuts too much off?", "How long has she worked here?"... A soft gentle voice called my name from across the waiting area. Emily sweetly introduced herself and shook my hand. Polite and extremely professional to say the least. She escorted me to her chair and allowed me to put my belongings within arms reach. Not knowing this person, I was slightly reluctant and needed to give much detail as possible about my locks with the caveat - "DO not cut too much off!" As I shared with Emily my requests - She intently listened and assured me of the next steps. What I liked most, is that Emily even through the shampoo / condition session explained what she was using on my locks and why. (FYI: This doesn't happen often in other salons) and oh! head massage - yes please! Emily massaged my head and scalp reducing my high anxiety for the time being. So gentle and yet effective. and ...that Hydrate Pureology conditioner! AMAZING! It exhilarated my head and scalp all the way through my haircut (super cool stuff! - Pun intended) After my locks were clean and refreshed, the nervousness kicked in once again. (oh my gosh! what is going to happen... deep breath.. here goes nothing...) Emily reiterated what I requested for my locks earlier -and I have to say, spot on! She carefully examined each and every lock and began to showcase her expertise. Little by little she used her mad cutting skills to bring my hair back to life. Although, Emily and I both knew she had other guests waiting - I did not feel rushed, slighted or hurried. Emily took her time and even asked about my life as a person, a career woman and a wife (no one likes a stylist who talks about him or herself during a salon session). 40 minutes later... Emily not only resurrected my lifeless locks but gave me a renewed sense of hope. Summary: ($40.00) Emily's MAD cutting skills ($26.00) Emily's recommendations for products (PRICELESS) - the best hair cut and Salon experience I think I have ever had! If you have any angst or anxiety about trying a new Salon or a new Stylist.. Now is your chance to take a risk! - and I guarantee it will be WELL WORTH every penny!!

I walked in to get a haircut today. There was no receptionist in sight, but I figured someone would be around shortly to acknowledge me and let me know what the wait was like. Instead, one of the stylists walked up to the cash register where I was standing, twice, and not only avoided eye contact but completely ignored me. Not a single word. After she did this the 2nd time I walked out. I won't be returning. This is a shame because I have been there before and was never treated so poorly.

Amanda ❤is phenomenal hairdresser she filled in for my regular Stacy who's another fantastic hairdresser but Amanda has a style all her own that is excellent doesn't cut too much or will cut just what you say she has long hair but can work with short hair like mine and make it look excellent which not many people can do. Had my toes done last week and the young lady that did my toes didn't know what she was doing. She said that many of them do all services, but I would recommend that if your not confident in doing a certain service you shouldn't do it. It took me like 2 hours to decide where to go because I want it a good pedicure and I regret coming here. My toe nails are so nasty looking it's embarrassing. I actually didn't say anything because I thought it wasn't to noticeable, but once in the sun you can see the bad work. I could not return I had my children to pick up from school. I will not return and I sure won't recommend and if you do decide to go please ask your stylist if they have experience and they are confident in what their doing.

First let me say that the studio was absolutely beautiful. Second everyone was so sweet. I can’t remember her name but the girl at the front desk gave me a tour of the place and offered me something to drink. Then I met my stylist Ashley; she was smiling and ready to give me a new look. Before I was very self conscious as one brow hung lower than the other and I could never get them to look right. This is not a good place to go for toddlers. It was my 1.5 yr old daughter's first haircut, I did not like their work. Cons: The kid's place upstairs was smelly. The pony ride type of chairs for toddlers were very uncomfortable to sit; one has to lean forward too much to hold the handles. Hair cut was clearly uneven. Though my child was crying but not resisting, the stylists tried to finish off the job haphazardly. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Over all the haircut looked like a amateur's work not professional. Pros: Stylists kept checking with me several times if it looks ok.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Professional services but 10 day wait when called to get back in for another cut & color. It only took a couple of days to get my first appointment. That seems a bit long to have to wait for a salon appointment. Plus the hair color that was used was apparently not a permanent color as it lasted only 6 weeks. If I colored it myself, I would have gotten at least 8-12 weeks before having to recolor. I might be wrong, but I believed I was getting a permanent color treatment. Will give it another try.

Love this place, the people are nice and they offer you free drinks (wine is extra ;)) during downtime. My stylist, Melanie, is very talented and makes going to get my hair cut a treat. The front desk staff are also very friendly and cheerful, and have a good sense of humor. Overall, this is a place run by people who love their jobs.

I really love the environment of the salon and all of the stylists are extremely nice and talented. I went there to get a cut and a perm. I have flat and boring hair and decided I wanted a change. I was extremely excited and I loved my stylist, she was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I was satisfied with my perm at first. After a few hours, (about 4,) my hair was already flat. Wavy, but very flat. After 3 days my hair was completely flat and has slight waves as if I braided my hair and took the braid out. Fortunately she let me come back to get it redone and now it's what I want and it hasn't gone flat, (fingers crossed.) She's never seen that happen before but we've come to the conclusion that with my type of hair we needed smaller rods. Problem solved!! Love this place and all of the workers, definitely going to be my salon from now on :)

It's honestly a hit or miss with this place. Depends on the stylist. They are very over priced and will not tell you when booking an appointment that each stylist has their own prices. Some stylist charge a ridiculous $41.00 for a hair cut while others charge $30. I will not go here again because they definitely ripped me off and didn't give a care in the world. Megan who is supposed to be so "knowledgable" was just rude. If you don't like your hair, the staff will use an excuse to make it not their fault like blame the customer for the way the hair turned out. Just a fair warning- be careful who does your hair. I highly recommend hair international in Kenosha. They are a lot friendlier and their prices are spot better- not too much everyone there knows what they are doing.

I have never loved a Hair Salon more than Ruffolo's!!! My stylist is Emily and she is the greatest!!! No one has ever cut my bangs so well in my life (I have a huge cowlick), and my color always comes out perfect!!! The staff are all very nice and you instantly feel relaxed and at home.

Called early morning just after opening to schedule an appointment for a hair trim for my little girl, when we arrived, no appointment was on the books therefore we had to leave. My poor baby came home crushed, she was so exited to get her hair done before school. I always walk out of Ruffalos feeling and looking like a super star. I've been to multiple hair dressers and each one brings unique skills to the business. I've never been disappointed by a trip to this Kenosha Hair Styling hotspot. They accomidate last minute appointments and work with their clients to make sure they get exactly what they need. I will remain a faithful customer for a very long time. :) 10/10 would recommend.

First, let me say, the updos, manicures, pedicures, and makeup I've had done at Ruffolo's have all been fabulous! They do excellent work. Jessica did my most recent pedicure and she did an excellent job. My four-star review is due to a few smaller reasons unrelated to the quality of the actual services provided. The girls at the front desk were not very friendly when I came in. They took my coat and got me a drink, but seemed to only do it because it's their job. Also, I wish they had an herbal tea or hot chocolate beverage option. If you don't drink coffee, the only warm decaf option is hot water :/ I did have to wait for about 15 minutes for my pedicure. Ruffolo's is pretty pricey. Their quality work is worth the price. But, for someone like me who can only afford a place like this every few years as a special treat, that means I hope for my experience to be very good. It was certainly above average, but not exceptional. Also, I was charged a bit more for the services than I thought (apparently pedicures START at $45), and as a result, did not have enough left for the tip amount that I would have liked to leave. So you may want to check beforehand to confirm the price if price is a factor for you! So, all in all, a very good experience with the actual services (pedicure, updos, etc), but just a few areas for improvement in the service received at the front desk.

Honestly my feelings were hurt by the stylist that cut my hair. I was on time to my appointment and she called me back 15 minutes late which was not a problem for me until she rushed through my haircut. I explained to her that i haven't had a haircut in a long time and it was time to treat myself. My hair was almost to my bum! She did not seem thrilled about that, and that was confirmed when I was being shampooed and another stylist walked by and said "omg, mini heart attack!" Like hello i am not a manican!!! I felt like I was constantly apologizing to her about the length of my hair and as much as I did she didn't even appreciate it just kept rushing.. & She kept asking the other stylists to see if her "next one was here yet". Now, I wanted a good amount cut off so the amount she cut off was not an issue but I simply asked for lots of layers to liven it up and she hardly gave me any.. And on top of that the ones she did give me aren't even!! I chose ruffalos for my haircut because i recently moved to Kenosha & I have heard wonderful things! But at this point i have had stylist actually care about their work and take their time on me for a $10 hair cut at haircrafters... And I find this very sad because I chose to pay $40 for a quality salon haircut and the outcome was a nightmare. We go to salons to be pampered.. We pay good money for QUALITY and deserve to be treated professionally and with respect. This is not the way customers should be treated whether their hair is long short or purple!!!

I moved to Mount Pleasant a few years ago and had so much trouble finding someone to cut my hair and make me beautiful. Then I found Mia! She is so nice and really listens to what I want even though sometimes I don't know what that is! She is very helpful and always cuts my hair extremely well. I thought I loved my eyelash extentions and a few days have passed and I'm really sad to say this but I hate them now. They're too long. They hit my glasses and I constantly have to clean them. They're too chunky and long and they dont even go to my inner corners. Transition is not up to par. I'm so sad I spent over $100 on them. I really liked the girl who did them but my expectations werent met. Definitely want my money back Few days later: Disappointed they havent reached out to me after reading this review. Though the lady was very nice I do not trust her skill. She did not consult me...I had to be the one that I want a natural cat eye look...she pops on 15mm lashes and keep in mind I wear glasses...did not review any curl style (I've been researching a lot more and had I known I would've gotten a different curl...my eyes look droopy) I paid $110 and that's including tip so it is over $100. I would like my money back. I am getting my lashes removed and replaced 10/29/18 by another artist WHO HAS PHOTOS AVAILABLE TO REVIEW! And I definitely trust her skill. Theres a reason why shes $90 and not >$125

I am a new client to Ruffolo's hair studio, I was greeted at the door and the receptionist asked to take my jacket (which was very nice). My stylist was Ashley Curi, she did a profound job! She was extremely knowledgeable, she took the time to answer all if my questions, and made sure we were in the same page! I felt extremely comfortable and confident in her skills! Every time I am at Ruffolo's I have a great experiance. Kelly always does an amazing job on my eyebrows, so great that I book myself for the year! Sometimes just a trim, sometimes a whole new look, either way she does a beautiful job on my hair. When I am there I love how she educates me on new products and techniques to get the look I want. It is definately a treat for my kids to go there, but they love it too! I love the coupons I get, and the samples. I will never go anywhere else!!!

I had my wedding makeup done by Alex Z who was phenomenal, and on a separate occasion, Lexi R. did a beautiful updo with very little direction from me. Hi, I would highly recommend Jessica, my hair stylist to anyone of any hair type. She is an amazing colorist and her haircuts always make my hair lay just right which makes it easier for me to style at home on my own. She styles it so well that I leave it for a few days after my appointment because I will never get it to looks so good! She is also very knowlegdeable on all the products and always explains what she is putting on your hair and why in case you want to buy some to take home. Jessica is also very easy talk to and makes you feel comfortable while you are there. The staff is always very helpful and welcoming upon arrival and you really feel pampered. Being new to the area, I was very nervous looking for a new stylist. I starting my search by giving Ruffolo’s a try. From the moment I entered the building, I was treated with kindness, friendliness and professionalism. I was blessed to be scheduled with Em. I showed her a couple of photos of what I was looking for, we talked a bit to make sure she understood and then she started. During the haircut, we chatted, .....she even gave me several recommendations around the neighborhood! When my cut was done, I LOVED my hair! She knew exactly what I wanted and she nailed it! Even after the cut was done, she explained the check out process, informed me about the product she used during that visit and walked me through setting up another appointment. I've had good and bad experiences here. My prom hair was a disaster. The hair that was done for my dad's wedding was amazing. The one time I got my hair colored here it did NOT turn out right. She tried to fix it, but charged me extra for it, even though it was her fault.
