Ana cut and dyed my hair today and it was one of the best experiences my natural curls have ever had. She listened to what I wanted, asked questions to clarify (I have limited knowledge), and explained the entire process to me. Ana was kind, professional, and really understood the different stages that it takes to cut natural curls.

All of the good people have left. The remaining people are not well trained in chemical services. Do not trust this place for a relaxer. A lot of these reviews are old and those people have all left.

Best place for curls ever! Vasuda is a fun beautiful salon that specializes in all hair types but especially curly and textured hair. My curls always look amazing thanks to this place. I love this salon. I'm a black girl with mostly type 4a hair and I get my hair cut, colored and styled here. The stylists are friendly and professional, my hair always comes out looking bomb, and I feel well taken care of. The stylists here focus on education and satisfaction and not just getting you in and out. I'm here on a Saturday afternoon and it's nice and relaxing! Awesome. Katie cuts and colors my hair! She's fantastic! I've also seen Asyah and she's great as well.

NATURAL HAIR BEWARE!! THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!! 1st visit- was left waiting in the front 20 minutes past the time of my appt because the hair dresses "wasn't told I was out there" 2nd visit- Hairdresser could answer ZERO of my questions about how to tame my natural hair. I had to wash it again when I got home because of how dry my hair was after leaving 3rd time- Emailed to figure out how to schedule with Daniela (wanted to ask questions and she has 10+ years experience with natural hair). They respond back with "well, Becca's available" I reply with I prefer Daniela (due to experience) and they guide me on how to book my appt with her. Day of the appt. I get an call saying "Daniela had to leave early, we can get you with Tommy, he has a lot of experience with natural hair" I say fine. Drive 45 MINUTES to Tacoma from Seattle and when I get there the front desk tell me "Oh Tommy had to leave early, Becca's going to do your hair." As I said before, drove 45 minutes out of my way for Daniela or Tommy's natural hair knowledge and experience and that choice was taken away from me. Apparently the 48hr cancellation policy is only concerned with the stylists time, the same respect and consideration is not given to customers. The unprofessional brand that DOES NOT care about you or your hair journey. They say that "every stylist can help with any hair" and that is 100% NOT TRUE. I was dumb enough to go 3 times, giving them chance after chance to give the natural hair knowledge and service I can get at home in ATL and was time after time disappointed. Don't make my mistake.

I really can't say enough positive things about this salon! I've always struggled finding someone who can cut my thick, frizzy, curly hair, and these guys do such an amazing job. Tanner, my stylist, is fantastic! The salon is professional and welcoming, the prices are perfect, and everyone there is wonderful!

I have to write this review. It pains me to do it, but others should know what they are getting themselves into. Background: Natural for nearly 6 yrs, took me 2-3 yrs to grow all of the relaxer out of my hair out, before service at Vasuda I would describe my hair as beautiful, nice length, thick, strong, fluid, soft, silky........ Vasuda experience: Natural hair is time consuming, I decided to go back to relaxers. Ariana put a relaxer in my hair, it was her second time servicing my hair. She did not process the relaxer correctly in my hair. Rather than admitting her mistake immediately, she cut my hair, flat ironed it and sent me on my way. My hair felt dry so I washed it within 2 days. I then noticed Ariana completely fd-up my hair! My hair looked half relaxed half natural! I couldn't comb through my hair. I had a lot of breakage. I rescheduled immediately. She told me, my hair was damaged/dry before she relaxed it, the relaxer exacerbated my hair, but she could fix it. (If it was damaged/dry why relax it? Why not warn me 1st? Maybe because my hair was NOT damaged!) I thought she was saving face, realized her mistake and would correct it. She didn't. She put Keratin treatment on my hair and it did nothing. I contacted the owners. Emmett was honest with me, and I thank him for it. He said, he believed Ariana did not process it completely and or didn't let it take to my hair. He offered me a partial refund and for his top stylist, Brooke, in Tacoma to do my hair (I was out in Tacoma already). She relaxed the bottom half of my hair again, and put another Keritan treatment on my hair. My hair looked good for three days after Brooke did it, but once I washed it, it returned to the horrible damaged condition that Ariana caused originally. I was not able to comb through it, it was hard, crunchy, dry and just horrible. Thoughts about Vasuda: Emmet, Ariana, and Brooke are all very nice. Nonetheless, my hair was damaged, and Vasuda was not able to fix the mistake. Remedy: I went to another salon and the salon was instantly able to fix my hair! Thankfully, my hair is no longer crunchy, dry, brittle and I can run my fingers through my hair yet again, like I have always been able to do. I will not return to Vasuda for obvious reasons.

I love this hair salon, the staff are so friendly and Emmett is so knowledgeable, I learn something about hair every time I go in there. You can tell he loves what he does, he's more than a stylist, he takes it to a whole new level. We're lucky to have to have a place like this in the northend!

I am not happy with my haircut or the price. When I looked up the prices before I made the appt. it was reasonable. But after my haircut the price was a lot higher than I was expecting to pay. I felt she rushed me thru my haircut. Probably will never go back there.

I had to find a new stylist and was super nervous. I have naturally curly very fine hair and I was concerned because most people don't know how to cut my hair. I was so grateful to find vasuda salon and specifically Tannis! She took the time to give me advice on caring for my hair and then proceeded to give me a fabulous cut! The owner is friendly and the space is easy to get to and welcoming. I am so blessed to have found Tannis and this new salon!

I had a haircut yesterday, and left with it looking crunchy and uneven. Ana cut my hair, and I have never been more disappointed. The cutting continued past the blow drying—whichever I specifically asked not to do. Overall, bummer experience, and now I am back to wearing wigs until it grows out. Thanks, but no thanks.

I love Vasuda Salon! I selected them because I have naturally curly hair and the Deva Curl folks in NY recommend them as a "curly girl" skilled salon. They do not disappoint! Livia became my stylist and she really knows how to work with curly hair from cut to color and styling. The salon itself is welcoming, so you feel cared for from the moment you enter to the moment you leave.

Lady at the front desk was rude and they gave me orange copper hair instead of brown. She kept insisting it was just the lighting in their salon. Paid $150. Do NOT recommend EDIT - It's been a year since the horrible dye job I had here. I'm not sure what was used but I've tried everything from purple/blue shampoos to titanium dyes to absolutely no luck. Don't come here if you want to end up with permanent brassy hair.

I finally got a chance to get to Vasuda. All the reviews about Emmett were true. I am sorry for the ladies in his hometown who no longer get his services, but so happy he is now my regular stylist. I havent been satisfied with my hair dresser in eons. So much so I went natural. Well he has been 1 of 2 beauticians who really did a great short cut and style. He explained what he was doing and the products he was using. I loved that. He is not only a hairdresser but a scientist of hair. He KNOWS hair. Now that I am a new resident of Seattle, this is my new hair place. The other staff was very nice as well. Very attentive and professional.

I waited to write this review as I allowed my anger to settle down. Please do not go here under any circumstance. I went in for golden balayage with Ana and came out with orange, green, platinum blonde, and red hair. She started with foil highlights and when that obviously was the wrong choice she attempted balayage. My hair was processed with bleach for over 2 hours. My curl pattern went from tight coils to bone straight at the ends from over processing. When I walked out of the salon and saw my hair I was devastated. I immediately went to Sally's and put a medium brown rinse over this so I could walk out in public. I looked absolutely insane. Ana also cut my hair very unevenly. I contacted management to give them an opportunity to be decent and that turned into me being blamed for having a box dye job over 6 months ago. I thought you all were supposed to be the experts? Why not offer to do this in stages? Why not perform a patch test? Why not admit it came out terrible and offer to tone it later? They offered me a complementary hair cut with the owner. As I do not doubt that Emmett is very talented and kind, I would completely stay away from Ana. If you insist on going here, book a level 3 stylist!
