Sarah is an artist and an expert at her craft. She transformed my hair that was a mess of different colors, including bleached out in places and grey in others. I walked out with beautiful color, and exactly what I had hoped. The salon is a beautiful space.

I loved everything about this salon. She carries a ton of top green beauty brands in not just hair but also skin and makeup. It was fun to be able to see and try on different makeup that for the most part I can only find online. Taylor was so kind and fun, my haircut was perfect! Exactly what I was wanting. I also loved that everything she used on my hair was clean green beauty products, cause that’s all I use at home and Usually it’s something I have to bring in with me. THANK YOU, TAYLOR!!! After a bad bleach job, Taylor managed to give my fried hair beautiful dimension and color in one session. I have since been back three times and I always feel like a million bucks leaving their crazy-cool salon in Queen Anne. Taylor is so fun to visit and really listens to what you want, while giving you practical suggestions based on your lifestyle and how frequently you want to visit a salon. I found Sarah and Taylor while researching clean beauty salons in the area after moving from Minneapolis. I stopped in without an appointment to buy Davines shampoo and they very helpfully assessed my hair color before I made an appointment with Taylor. Between that first visit and my color appointment, I feel like she very thoroughly explained what she thought would work with my previously colored hair. My color looks amazing! Sarah also gave me amazing makeup and skincare tips and put together an easy makeup regimen. I love them so much, I’ll find any excuse to go back for a blow out between color appointments!

Sarah and Taylor are both so great! I moved to Seattle recently and was looking for a good hairstylist, so I turned to instagram. I connected with Sarah over instagram about doing my hair (on short notice nonetheless) and she set up a phone call so we could best figure out the plan that would work best! I got an appointment set up with Taylor for a balayage and came in a few days later. She talked with me through everything and explained all the products used and was a super easy person to talk to. I even got them to play some of my favorite music. Overall, both Sarah and Taylor do such great work and are both great women who evidently earn their business through their hard work— wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else now!

I love this salon! The first thing you'll notice is the fun and personable atmosphere that Sarah and Taylor have created. They treat everyone coming into their door warmly. They make you feel like you're dropping into a friend's apartment for a hair appointment. Atmosphere aside, these ladies have broad experience and knowledge under their belts. I struggle to find hair dressers who can handle my hair type and color properly because it's coarse, thick and dark. They know my hair texture well and both are great at explaining to me how my hair will behave for a specific hair style or length I have in mind. Taylor have been giving me haircuts for 2 years now. She is so fun and positive to work with! She listens to my request, gives me options, sets the right expectations and gives me a perfect cut every time. Recently, she did coloring on my hair and it was just the right color I was looking for! Love the salon carries eco products, as I'd like to treat my hair as an extension of my skin.

I was passing through town for work, and after a crummy experience with the owner of Counterbalance Barbershop on the phone, I chose Sarah Kahn Hair. I'm a cheapskate and usually go to a chop shop that charges under $20, so this was out of the ordinary for me. It was worth *every* penny and then some to receive probably the best haircut I've had in my life from Taylor. I pretty much gave her carte blanche to do what she thought would look good with minor guidelines, and the result was an awesome, stylish haircut. Really happy my previous negative experience resulted in a superlative one. Will be back again!

There aren’t enough superlatives in the galaxy for me to properly praise Taylor at Sarah Kahn Hair, but at least let me try. Long ago, in a salon far, far away, I got a bad haircut. This resulted in a severe case of tonsurephobia (which Google tells me means fear of getting your hair cut), and in the ensuing years, as my hair grew long, was bleached, and dyed rose gold (and lavender, and violet, and navy blue, and pink…), I refused even the slightest of trims. Eventually, this became…a problem. There were split ends everywhere, tangles the size of small mammals, and rioting in the streets. I broke a Wet Brush; it was total chaos. Then I met Taylor, and in one visit she totally transformed my hair, y’all. With the first visit, she gave me a badly-needed haircut, and completely restored manageability and shape—somehow without making it look like I’d lost any length. My anxiety eased, I made another appointment, this time with a much bigger ambition: would she consider transforming me into a blonde? Reader, she did, and it looks incredible. I went from half-dark brown/half fuchsia hair to a beautiful, dimensional, shimmering blonde in just one go and it is beyond. From the start, she was honest about the process and my expectations, all while being positive and enthusiastic. And as an added bonus? Not only did I leave with my dream hair, it’s in better condition than it has been in years. Is Taylor a benevolent sorceress in possession of arcane hair magicks? Maybe! But she’s also an incredibly talented stylist with a gift for color correction, making her clients look and feel their best, and is an all-around joy to be around.
