Deniz worked with me to bleach and dye my hair and I couldn't be happier with the results! Everyone in the salon was friendly and welcoming even though it was my first time there (I booked my appointment just based on reviews online). The bleaching and dying process was long because my hair is darker but I didn't feel burdened or made to feel like a burden from Deniz or any of the other employees. I hope to be back!

I wanted to get a natural looking balayage done and very recently had my hair completely destroyed. I went from a dark brown to an orange/blonde look, with black spots in them. I found Simis Salon on google and called them just to ask if it's even fixable. The staff was very polite and friendly but I don't even know where to start on Ahmet. He was able to not only fix the damage but also give me the natural balayage look I wanted. I literally had tears in my eyes when I saw my hair after he was done. It was exactly what I wanted. He truly cares about his customers and his love for this shows in his work. My hair now looks better than it has ever been and I absolutely love it. Ahmet and his team were just amazing. I got my hair done today and I honestly couldn't wait to write this review. They have definitely made me their client for life.

My hair was recently destroyed when I stayed at a friend's house who had well water. My hair went from Beautiful blonde to Orange/brassy and destroyed (A blonde's worst nightmare). Yesterday Dennis did an AMAZING transformation on my hair! Not only did I not have to do anything besides show him a picture of what I wanted, but he was quick and efficient, and my hair ended up absolutely better than expected. My friends/family have been oohing and ahhing and it looks so good people don't believe it's my own hair! Thanks To Dennis, and Team Simi, I can stand to look at myself in the mirror again!! Maria and John work wonders! Having never had a facial before, I was a little nervous to have anyone work on my face due to my sensitive skin. I expressed these concerns to their esthetician, Maria, and she couldn't have been any nicer. She did a thorough explanation of the products she uses and how they would help my skin. I could tell her really cares about her clients. Within a day my skin was glowing and clear! Would definitely recommend. Very personable and definitely knows what she's doing. I also received a massage from John who couldn't have done a better job. He was very receptive to my requests and made me feel very comfortable. No aches or pains afterwards! I left feeling pampered and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Salon Simis & Spa if you're looking for a quality experience! Staff is extremely personable and beverages are offered upon arrival :) I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Deniz and the entire staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The salon itself was clean and comfortable. The prices were comparable to most other salons in the area. It was definitely a 5 star experience.

Been going there for a while now, and I am pretty picky about how my hair gets styled and cut. Ahmet understands what I want in my haircut and always gets the job done perfectly and finishes of with a prefect blow dry of the hair, and I always leave the salon with a smile :). About a month ago I went to a salon that I usually go which was located in Tysons Corner to get lowlights. My hair is full, a bit curly Mediterranean black and I knew that it was hard to deal with. So I had some clear requirements based on my hair type and my hair stylist chose not to listen to a single word of mine and did whatever he wanted. I wanted to get lowlights with only one shade lighter than my own hair. I had done it before and it turned out to be really nice. But he was a terrible listener and bleached my hair and put toner on it afterwards and I ended up with some barssy-blond highlights on my black hair. My hair also got super frizzy after it. On top of the horrible highlights, he also gave me an uneven haircut. I was so mad that I didn't even want to go to him so he can fix it. After asking so many people about my options I had been decided to put brown color on my whole hair so I wouldn't see the brassiness on my black hair and deal with it until those part grow out. So I started to do some research on the salons and I even went to another good rated salon in Fairfax to get some consult about my hair. The guy agreed that I have an uneven haircut and he said that he can fix the brassiness of it and give me a good haircut and so I made an appointment. I went home and read the reviews about that salon again and found that despite many good reviews that the salon had, there were some really bad reviews that shows they are not expert in all kinds of hair and they do a good job on blonde and thin hairs only. I read a bad review from someone with my exact hair type and after it I canceled my appointment. I was so hopeless until I found salon Simis with great reviews on Yelp. I went there and talked to Ahmet, explained the situation and said that I want to put color on my whole hair. After consulting with the other guy there and asking me lots of questions about what I really want he said that based on what I want, coloring my hair isn't the best option and since I have black hair I wouldn't be completely satisfied with the result and those highlights will come out again anyway. The solution they came up with at the end was to put toner on my hair so the brassiness would go away and my highlights get darker. He could easily charge me $200 for putting color on my hair but he chose to listen to my request and do what I really want and charge me $60 for that. At the end my hair color was fixed. As he told me before he wanted to start, I didn't end up with the exact hair that I had before getting those highlights, but I could really see the improvement. And one major point of it was that the frizziness that I got from the previous salon was gone after Ahmet put that toner on my hair. The product that he used was so high quality and my hair is now really soft. After fixing my hair color he gave me the best haircut that I have ever got. I showed him a picture and I couldn't believe that he did the exact same thing that I wanted. As I said, I have full and think hair and I needed some long layers on top of it and I also wanted the end of my hair gets thinner. He totally pulled that off. Ahmet is a really awesome hair dresser and I really loved him. He listened to me and communicated really well so he can deliver what I really wanted and you could really tell that he cares a lot. He doesn't only want to make money out of his customers; he cares and he is one of those people that you see and say "Thanks for making my life easier." and I hope he always stays this way.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR!! I came to this salon a year ago when i first moved to the area. They were the first salon i tried out and i avoided getting my hair cut for almost 6 months afterwards because i had such a bad experience. They were extremely unprofessional, and do not know how to care for curly hair. The number one rule of curly hair care is to not brush it out and that's the first thing they did. At the end of the session they said "you want it frizzy right?" ....no. It looked worse than when i came in. I have very fine ringlets and i could feel my hair breaking with every brush stroke. They were extremely disrespectful and i felt almost as if they were just making fun of my hair and doing a horrible job on purpose. Not to mention they double booked me, so the stylist wasn't even with me for half the time and kept going back to their other client in the middle of my hair cut, leaving me sitting there for long periods of time. Absolutely horrible experience. Go somewhere else if you want a better experience.

Im in shock that this place has such good reviews.. I went to Denis for the first time just for a haircut. He basically did not listen to what I asked for and seemed to be in a rush. I have never had such an uneven looking haircut in my life.. I simply asked to take off my dead ends and add only face framing layers. But no, not only did he add way too many random layers but it looked horribly uneven and goofy.. He was somewhat friendly but his work was extremely sloppy. To be honest I think I could have done a better job myself. I drove 45 minutes from where I live just to try this salon out & it was a major dissapointment. I even came back the same day to get my hair "corrected" but it seemed as though they gave up and didnt know how to fix it. Thankfully the lady at the front desk was extremely sweet and gave me my money back.

I am new to the area and have been shopping around for a new salon where I feel valued and comfortable. Salon Simis & Spa is with out a doubt the best overall experience I've ever had. The staff is extremely friendly and the services exceeded my expectations. I got my color and haircut done by Demi. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made suggestions that proved to be great ideas. I am so happy with my hair and highly recommend her to everyone. I also tried out the new esthetician, Maria. I got the signature facial and haven't felt so relaxed in quite some time. I've been to a number of spas in the area and she is the best for sure. My skin is very sensitive and I am happy to say that I did not break out from any of her products. In fact my skin looks fresh and even. Such a amazing hair salon. I’ve been going to so many hair salons here in Fairfax but very few salons can achieve platinum blonde hair. My hair is very dark brown and Ahmet was able to lift the brown out of my hair and make it Jean Harlow Blonde. Ahmet is amazing!! Not only is he very knowledgeable about many types of blonde tones, he is also honest and straight forward about what to expect when bleaching your hair. Ahmet has created a salon that I simply could live at. He is located in the heart of Fairfax in a very modern salon. His experience and attention to detail is mind blowing. Most salons do not give this much attention to the entire experience. Other then the look and feel, let's talk about hair. He has touched up my roots, cut my hair, and given me a perfect balayage. I love my hair everytime I leave. He doesn't go overboard. He is realistic and conservative, meaning, he does what you want and listens to you. He is also good at recommending what will look the best. I strongly recommend him and his team. They care about you. They even enable you to send anonymous text messages directly to him to make sure he collects every bit of feedback you may have. He is good.

My new go-to place for my hair--I've been here twice. A few months ago I came for a haircut--Roger gave me a long bob cut and I loved it. I came back last week for a balayage and Roger, again, did great. I was able to multitask while I was there both times because they have good wifi--relaxing, productive, and I walked out with great hair both times. (A plus--they had no qualms about me bringing my infant son with me; they were so welcoming!). I also love that they also have lots of availability when I happen to be free (mid day, mid week), and are really responsive.

All the stylists here cut my hair to perfection every time. I walk out of there looking like a movie star and they have taught me how to style my hair that way too so I can keep looking my best. If you walk away from Salon Simis and Spa and are unhappy about the way you look, it's because you are either a whiny, spoiled brat or there is truly nothing can be done to make you look good. I checked online for places highly rated for haircuts near where I am currently, and this salon placed highest for reputation. I called and asked if there was anyone on the team who knew how to cut short hair, and without hesitation, I was told Deniz was the man. The lack in pause in her response assured me she was vouching for an expert, so I booked an appointment with him. I received a text message about an hour before the appointment from the salon informing me that Deniz was running about 15 minutes behind schedule; this was a much appreciated head's up and sure enough when I arrived, the delay was not extended beyond the 15 minutes. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted by Lori, who kindly took my jacket and invited me to sit and offered me complimentary coffee. Deniz came to see me and we discussed what I wanted and I allowed him the freedom to do as he feels would result in the best look. He washed my hair and proceeded to cut like an absolute pro. Ladies, if you want someone who has a natural talent for pixie cuts, call this place and ask for Deniz. He finished in under 20 minutes, which proves he is a master. The only other place in the world who cut my hair absolutely perfectly in this reasonable amount of time was a salon I went to in Marseilles, France. Job well done, Deniz! I am extremely pleased with the cut. Lois, you set the example for excellent reception!

I searched many salons before I decided on Salon Simis & I’m so glad I picked this salon. I have long hair (mid-back) that I want to have the darkest black but other salons complain about how much time my hair appointment will take so they always just do my roots and ignore my requests with wanting an over- all color touch up but I have found my new go to place at Salon Simis.The staff was very attentive making sure I was comfortable and offering refreshments. My stylist, Roger, whom is a Master Stylist gave me exactly what I asked for… Beautiful DARK black hair! I needed a trim due to split ends but I’m always scared to much will be cut off, Roger assured me he will cut my dead ends while keeping my length, at the end I had beautiful layers that helped bring my hair back to life. I definitely will be back.

Salon Simis---- BOOM! Ahmet & team are so fantastic that anything I say here is understated. I started going to Ahmet back in 2004 when he was building his arm muscles in Mclean. 10 year later—I’m still one of his many happy minions. Even though he is no longer located in my hometown, many of us will make the 25min drive to see him at his new shop. ALSO, the new shop displays an Art gallery featuring talent from local Artists. BOOM! A couple years ago I decided that I wanted hair extensions BUT was super worried about damaging my already thin curly frizz ball hair. Many friends told me how damaged their hair was after they tried extensions. Honestly, I had nothing to worry about! I trusted Ahmet and he did an incredible job. 5 months later he removed my extensions and my hair was exactly the same! BOOM! Every since I introduced Ahmet to my brothers and Dad they won’t allow anyone else to touch their hair. In-fact Salon Sims makes house calls for his VIP clients (get on the waiting list!). Recently I had a trip to LA scheduled and the day before travel I completely forgot to schedule my desperately needed Keratin treatment. Not to worry—LindaDoll scheduled me for an 11pm appointment! BOOOOOMM!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Salon Simis. The staff is incredibly nice and professional, not to mention amazing at what they do! Ahmit has done my hair twice now and I'm incredibly happy with it - the cut is perfect, it's the best color job I've ever had, and my hair is the healthiest it's been in a VERY long time. The most recent visit was for color (correction and highlights). My hair is naturally dark and I had some light, but orange and brassy, highlights. Ahmit took the time to lower my base color and then, correctly, lift the ends to a light ash blonde with ammonia free color and the perfect toner combination. I never realized how important toner is until Ahmit did my hair - it makes such a difference. I am so happy with the end result and cannot wait to go back for touch-ups and trims :)

I went to this salon, for the first time, today and i can guarantee you they're very professional. Both Ahmet and Dennis are great! they were very honest with me and even advised me to wait a little longer before coloring my hair! they really care about their customers and don't just want their money! someone else would convince to bleach out my hair and get the lighter color I want even if it'd damage my hair! but they didn't!!! they were very honest with me and explained the whole situation and the expected results. at the end, they both recommended to grow out my hair and come back for color later.

I wanted to try out this salon due to the good reviews; however, I was disappointed with how my hair turned out and some of the things that the employees had said. (1) One of the employees, possibly an owner, started talking about how she does not like customers from McLean - where I grew up. I am not sure why someone would generalize their dislike by geographical region. (2) I asked for full highlights, I received them on the top of my hair, but underneath was severely disregarded and looks very streaky. (3) I also got a trim, but was charged for a cut - which I was not happy about. Despite my left side of my hair being slightly shorter than my right, the hair dresser didn't even touch the left side and left all of the split ends. I even pointed it out to him that I need the split ends on my left cut. A few snips later, I still had an excessive amount of split ends on my left - none on my right side though... Pros: I liked the color, I just wish that it was even throughout my entire hair. I also liked my hair dresser despite the flukes listed above. My hair was done within 2.5 hours (record breaking), my shampooing and conditioning was amazing, and he styled my hair well.

I've been coming to Ahmet for 10 years now and every time he exceeds my expectations! I've attached before and after photos just so you all can see the magic that he worked on my hair. He really loves what he does and is super passionate about making those he works with feel comfortable and confident with their decision to work with him & what he does to your hair. I was really freaking out when I went to him but he remained calm and gave me the confidence boost I needed. He spent almost 4 hours on my hair and every minute he worked with me was spent with care and attention to detail. Ahmet has become my friend over the years and it's been such a privilege to see him grow as a person and a stylist. He really is incredible! You won't regret going to him for all of your styling needs whether it's balayage, color correction, or a quick shampoo & cut. I went to salon Simis this week for the first time, I have long dark brown hair and I've never colored it before I looked into the blonde highlights and decided to get it done after a lot of looking up different salons in fairfax and doing some homework, Simis seemed to have the best reviews. My stylist was Ahmet and he did an amazing job I'm so happy with my hair he really made my hair look just like the pictures I had showed him and the platinum blonde highlights were fabulous. I'm relatively new to Fairfax and only have been to a couple other salons. Simis was by far the best, definitely my go to salon from now.

Absolutely love the staff at Salon Simis & Spa! Everybody is very friendly and will offer to get you beverages or give you the wifi password! I got my hair cut by the newer stylist Taskin and he did an amazing job. He listened to my concerns of not wanting my hair too short and was attentive to my needs. He got rid of all my dead ends and made sure everything was even and perfect. The shampoo girls are very sweet too and helped with blowdrying and styling my hair. I went from having long hair to a cute short cut and I was very satisfied with it. I got lots of compliments from sorority sisters, friends, and family:) The esthetician Maria is great too! She is very knowledgable and will tell you what is best for your skin. I got the Simis Signature Facial and felt so relaxed and new afterwards. She sold me Yonka products that are doing wonders for my skin. Would definitely recommend Salon Simis to any of my colleagues. Thanks so much guys!

I went to see Ahmet and he completely RUINED my hair. I went in asking for a full head of highlights to touch up my roots and a toner and showed him a picture of the kind of light blonde I wanted him to tone it to. I have been getting my hair done super blonde for YEARS! My hair is so strong and gets a little dry but it always stays nice and thick at the ends and hardly any breakage, from going to people who know how to do hair. They pulled the foils off and my hair started falling out in CLUMPS. He and his assistant were violently brushing my hair and I freaked out and grabbed the brush from them almost burst into tears because my hair was actually falling out. They were so hostile towards me and said “if you expect to go platinum then expect some damage”, I lost it and said I only asked for highlights and a toner! It turns out he pulled bleach ALL THE WAY THROUGH MY HAIR. He did this so he could charge me for an ombre AND full highlight. My hair has been so thin and dry I’ve had to cut 5 inches and it gets so frizzy now. This is especially awful because I am a bridesmaid in my sister’s wedding next month and my hair looks awful. They also tried to charge me over $400 for this. Don’t go here!!!!
