This was my first blow out and will probably be the last. I've been natural since 2009. I was pleased about how straight my hair was. She did burn me several times with the blow dryer which was very painful to my scalp. My curls however, are not reverting back. I've used a protein treatment and a deep conditioner, still no luck. I suggest if you want to keep your curls do not get a blowout from here. Something needs to be done! I am not pleased about washing my hair knowing that it will not revert back. Its almost like a texturizer was used on it. I want my money back or something. I will seek legal advice

Ninsi's beauty salon is the best Dominican hair salon around. I have been a loyal customer of her for 6 years and I completely trust her with any hair styles. I highly recommend this place. Not only is clean but very welcoming. They have the most attentive employees working there. By far the only one Dominican salon where you will find polit, professional, and courteous employees. I had a misunderstanding when getting my haircut done which was totally my fault. I didnt much time left so I left however I wasn't truly happy with the result. I ended calling and asking if possible to get a different cut.Ninsi took care of me. She went left to right to make sure my needs as a customer were met. Even when I had an idea in mind she switched it up so I could see and decide to keep or not. Which at the end I fell in love with. I couldn't be happier with the end result of my haircut!! Exactly what a hair expert should do! So thanks so much!! It's a bit pricey but however is worth it. Get your hair (cut/color/wash and set/deep conditioner) done the right Dominican way ♡

If you have natural hair, or just want a blow out go see Ninsi. I travel from Suffolk just to her. Worth the money

Ever since it went under new owners this place is NOT worth your time or money! The new owners are the most disgustingly rude women I've ever encountered and they over charge. If you go in for a blow out.. "Ok 45" a wash, cut, deep condition, and blow out later "ok 70". If I come in and get a quote from you that's what I expect to pay.. If you plan on doing more to my head that gonna cost extra, I need to be notified before hand. I will NEVER return to this place.

I love getting my hair done here but I wish I could get it done every 2 weeks but for some reason because I'm natural I have to pay double for a wash and blowout and the other natural curly haired non black women come in and get blowouts for 30 and I have to pay 60 ? Im so confused

I just left 20 mins ago and couldn't wait to write a review! I highly recommend this hair salon and will be going back in the future! Being in the military, my hair was damaged from being in a bun all of the time and my hair was growing out from the bob I had, but I told them what I wanted and they worked with me to achieve the style I desired.They're affordable and I didn't leave feeling like I got ripped off. All of the stylists are very nice and friendly, I was in a good environment.

I just want to say from the first day I walked in the door of Ninsi's Beauty Salon I was treated like I had been a customer for years. At first I was embarrassed about the condition my hairs was in. It was in very bad shape and what was worse I was trying to treat my hair myself at home with no idea on how to do so. As soon as I walked in the door, not only did the staff make me feel welcome and comfortable. They were able to do miracles with my dry, split end and over colored hair. She took her time explaining what she was going to do to fix it, but also she told me what I needed to do to make sure that it never happened again. This salon is 100% the real deal and for the amazing work they do, it is very reasonably priced. I will never go to another salon again.

Wow!!!!! This was the best salon I've ever gone to. From the wash to the blowout everything was perfect!!!!The stylist were so friendly and professional. I have thick natural hair and it can be very hard to work through. Lisa washed my hair and left it feeling sooo clean and fresh and Maria styled my hair and the finish was absolutely beautiful!!! The owner Ninsi even introduced herself to me and was very nice. If you want clean beautiful hair I would definitely recommend this salon to you. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks ladies!!!!

I've been searching for a quality salon for a while and this one is the best in the area. They gave me undivided attention and provided excellent customer service! Marta stopped periodically throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied and educate me on the proper products to help my hair grow (it was dry and weak when I arrived). From the receptionist to the owner, I was treated as a valued customer. Reasonably priced for the quality you receive.

My son and I were very happy here! He was afraid for anyone to do his hair because he is very "tender headed" but the employees made his first visit very comfortable for him...for the majority of the time. His only small complaint was that the blow dryer heat was very painful a couple times but he took it like a man...lol! We appreciate everything!!!

Ninsi beauty salon is the best. Ninsi is the only person I will let touch my hair she is such a sweetheart and such a professional. My hair decided to have a mind of its own and the color didn't take the way I hoped, she instantly noticed this and offered to fix it right then and there. Didn't matter how long it took she got my hair to the beautiful color I've always wanted. So worth the 30 minute drive. Go see her promise you will not regret it.

Worst place ever... Over priced... Wanted to charge me $400.00 after the back to school discount for my 12 year old! I have a wonderful experience every single time I come here! Ninsi is my go-to lady! I love her! I first came in with damaged hair and she brought life back to it! I get compliments DAILY on how healthy and beautiful my hair is now! Had my hair done at Ninsi’s Beauty Salon and Ninsi, the owner, did an excellent job!!! I had color and cut done and I loved it! She does a great job with the balayage and an excellent job with blowout. I’ve never seen someone using the brush the way she does. She is able to accomplish any hair style on any hair type with the brush alone without using the straightener nor the curling iron... amazing, I highly recommend her!!

Well this is my second time here and the first time was amazing! I have a seen in and with of course those bundles. The first time everything was great and walked out feeling like I can’t be touched. Well the second time i came things pretty much went down hill. The older lady manage to knotted up the crown area. Insisted it knotted up was because i flat ironed it. Then the owner told me that my bundles weren’t real bundles and her bundles never knot up. I find this part very interesting cause instead of taking ownership that you messed up with the hair and don’t know how this happened you place blame elsewhere. Elsewhere was the hair that they managed to knot up. I told her that everyone says “their hair is the best” so that’s not an excuse. How can I come in here and everything is above standards for my first visit and come back and it’s terrible. How did that happen? What was interesting to me the most is that she continued to place blame on my hair that she insisted was mixed bundles but continued to roll it and place me under the dryers. I️ might not be a rockets scientist but I’m pretty sure of it was mixed bundle and had fake in it I don’t think i would put heat towards it cause it would mess it up and mix human hair is really a one time use from my personal opinion. I would also like to add that they ended of FLAT IRONING my hair after the tried so hard to say the reason why my hair knotted up was because of a flat ironed. Go figured right. Pretty much a huge chuck of my weave was pulled out due to not being able to undo the massive knot it was on. I️ now have a braid protruding that they pinned down with a bobby pin and a big hump on the back of my head. If you have weave, I️ seriously advise you to go elsewhere. This place was good but I’m not willing to give it another shot especially after today. One mess up is enough and it wasn’t a minor mess up that you can overcome. So, if you want your weave ruined and pulled out this is the place to go.

When I went to the hair salon in RI before I moved here to VA my hair was so much longer. Went to the salon just for the first time and the lady that did my hair was in-experienced. By the way the owner cut my split ends and more of my hair then what i needed. The owner gave me a hair cut I never asked for. Not to mention I had to pay 60 dollars. Also they never get business.

I wouldn’t return here even if I were offered a free service. Giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. I made an appointment at 9am for a wash/blowout and they didn’t finish until 12:30. I was made to sit under a dryer for an hour longer than necessary allegedly due to my long extensions, however it was only one of several excuses for bad service. I was charged extra add-on’s for items I didn’t consent to, nor was told there would be a charge for. I was led to believe my blowout would cost $45 and walked out paying $61.50 even after the owner had to re-style my hair because the stylist who was assigned to me did a poor job despite seeing a photo of a simple, wavy style. To top it all off, my head/scalp hurt because the stylist was very rough on my head and she burnt me twice (with the blow dryer) and then the owner proceeded to argue with me when I questioned why it was $61.50 instead of the $45 price that was advertised. I’ve had at least 30 blowouts at multiple Dominican salons in the past 2 years that I’ve been wearing extensions and I’ve never had a more horrible experience than this one.

Was the worst dominican hair salon I've ever been to. Horrible prices , results, and services. I urge who live in Virginia Beach to go the extra mile to the one in portsmouth on George Washington. It's a much better experience and results. $45 dollars for a blow out on relaxed hair is ridiculous

This place was recommended by a friend. She told me haircuts started at 10 dollars. So I didn't think to ask how much was my haircut. I only needed my ends clib and both sides even. So she maybe cut 2 centimeters. She took longer to style my hair than to cut it. Then they charged me 55 dollars.

This salon used to have a different name, but I guess they changed management, which wasn't bad at all. Had a wash and set done for about 30 bucks, which is a good deal in my eyes. Considering the price lists I've seen in other Dominican salons. I will definitely be back!

The stylist at Ninsi's really care about the quality of work for their clients. This was my first visit from a friend's referral. I felt taken care of and was recommended products that were specific to me. That day they spent extra time on all their clients depending on what that client needed, if necessary. It was a comfortable experience seeing that I am very particular about who does my hair. Not everyone can manage my curls.
