My favorite braider is Sarah, she's very detailed in her work and professional. The owner is nice and the prices are fare. If you've been looking for a reliable braiding spot, this is the place.

Kadi's Hair Gallery is and will be my residence for getting my hair braided. I spoke to Ms. Rebecca on the phone days before my appointment to make sure what I wanted could be done at the time I needed it done. I communicated through text message and she was so nice with quoting me the price and what time and day to attend my appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by the women in the Salon and they started on my hair right away. I was impressed with the service from the door to my stylist chair. Rebecca and Alicia are the absolute best. They are soooo funny and they interact while doing your hair. You can tell that they are about quality and not quantity. I got box braids and they were so perfect and they are fast. I have never been to a hair salon where they stylist are fast but neat. If you show them a picture they are sure to make your hair look just like the picture. I am impressed and received several compliments from my co-workers. They did such a good job, I dropped my 2 year old daughter at daycare this morning and she told me, " Mommy, I like your hair." So again, I want to say that you for your Blessed hands and I look forward to not only bring myself in for business, but to refer this salon to many of my friends and family.

Every other place I have been takes 6-8 hours to braid my hair not KD's!!! I got there just before my 8am appointment and was completely done before 12noon. I couldn't believe it! I even inspected my head after I got home to see if maybe there were much bigger braids but my braids are even, neat, and tight just the way I like! Big shout out to my braiders Nancy and Hama!!! Isatu was absolutely wonderful! I currently don't live in Virginia so I called around wanting to get my daughters hair braided. Most of the shops wouldn't take us or were very rude. The staff at Kadi's shop were so pleasant, and very convenient (they even helped me with directions). When we arrived we waited no more then 10 minutes before Isatu started. She was quick and did such a wonderful job. I am so thankful to have found a quality shop that I can take my daughter to and recommend to others!!!!!

I had an amazing experience here!! Everyone was so friendly and professional. It was a great atmosphere. At other braiding salons, I have had my hair braided and it was so tight and uncomfortable I have taken them out the same day. Great Service! I recently had my hair done at another salon and was so disappointed with the result that I took it down the next day! I found Kadi's Hair Gallery on Yelp and saw that it had great reviews so I decided to take a chance (it couldn't be any worse than what i had already experienced). To my surprise, they were able to get me in the same day! Sarah did my goddess braids- and she is amazing!!!! I was SO pleased with the job that she did. I brought a picture of what I wanted so that she would have a general idea of what I wanted, and the final result looked EXACTLY like the photo! Ladies, this salon is awesome. I made an appointment the same day I wanted my hair done. I walked in and Kadi's warm smile and politeness greeted me as I walked into her shop. She is a fanrastic owner and she strives for perfection with every customer. It was incredible watching how many walk-ins arrived on a Saturday and everyone was assisted. No one was turned away. Her staff were professional. I'm very happy with my long box braids and most of all enjoyed the company in the shop. I recommend Kadi for box braids or any style including sew-ins. My stylist was kind and my braids were very nice. I rated them 3 stars because the price quoted on the phone was lower than what was quoted upon finishing. I had 6 goddess braids and was charged $77 ($65 for the style and $12 for the hair). In past experiences with African braiding shops, the hair was included in the price of $60 for the style I had. I was very disappointed.

I went yesterday to Kadi’s to get my box braids done by the stylist Rebecca, and I couldn’t have left any happier! She did an outstanding job. Absolutely outstanding! Some of the other stylists occasionally joined in to assist and they were all so sweet. Rebecca kept checking up on me to ensure my braids weren’t too tight (which I asked for) and made sure I was comfortable. The box braids look simply flawless and they are the best box braids I’ve ever had. The way she did the scalp looks amazing and the braids themselves are gorgeous. My 15 mth old son and I went to Sarah almost a few weeks ago for conrows and the lemonade braids and she did an awesome job. She really works well with kids even though my son hates anything done to his hair at all without him screaming bloody murder. He didn't cry as much with her as he does when i conrow his hair, but he missed his nap that day so I want to apologize for his crankiness and crying disturbing everyone's peace and quiet,. Sarah worked really fast with him and tried to calm him as his father and I did also, but he just wasn't having it poor baby. I really love my braids and my son's cornrows and will continue to come back as long as the service is always as professional and courteous as they were. The prices are affordable on the low end which is definitely a plus. What I love is all the girls got along with no drama and they help each other out when they are done with their customers. I called to make an appointment to get my 8 year old daughter’s hair done. I was told that it would be $80 and up. I said ok. So, when I got there, the ladies asked me to google the hair style I would like done for my daughter. We chose a simple box braid hairstyle. I was quoted $110-115. And and additional $15 for purchasing 3 packs of braiding hair. I said that was way too much for an 8 year old little girl. I asked what did the $80 hairstyle look like and no one was able to advise me. Eventually, We decided on a size and style for $100. Anyway, this will be my first and last time patronizing that shop. Ivy was the stylist and she wasn’t that pleasant. I never write reviews, but I felt inclined to write one for the type of service we received. My daughter gets her hair braided often and I think this was the most I ever paid. I only went to this shop because a friend recommended it. The quality of the braids was average at best! Never again!!! The ends of the braids look like they will unravel soon. She didn’t braid it tight all throughout. Overheard her telling someone she was tired; and by the look of things; I can tell. Signed.. Unsatisfied customer!!!!

I went there she was very professional, she was fast, and the braids didn't hurt as bad as I thought they would. I loved my hair, and swung my braids. She also was In expensive. Alicia and Sakira did an amazing job on my braided Bob. It was my first time coming there since the reviews were so good. I showed them the picture and they braided away. Lol. They ask a lot of questions to make sure I liked they braids which is good to get it right the first time.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because of the great customer services there are a lot of braiding salons around but hands down this place is the best I called her last Minute because someone wanted to overcharge me for braids I sent her a picture she quoted me half the price and waited on me to come Needless to say I got lots of compliments on the style. Great and fast experience. I stopped by without an appt to get cornrows done for crochets I was going to install myself. Kadi assessed my hair and what in mind my the look, it being long, and said she had pattern for desired outcome. Don't you know, she did a pattern had seen previously on YouTube. But didn't say anything because I couldn't explain it if I had too, haha. Hairstylist and braiders that stay up with the trends and methods is very important to me and Kadi nailed it. Definitely will be a seeing her again in the future. The pattern is so great, no more sitting for individuals braids with my thick and long head of hair, this pattern is legit and gives you that illusion!!
