I have been going to Fringe since it opened!!! It was a new salon close to my house-but it was a big decision because I had been going to another big name salon in Virginia beach for a decade! I was fortunate that the owner, Chelsey, was the person who did my cut and color from the first appointment! After several years of outstanding cuts and color...I would recommend this salon to anyone nervous to move to a new salon! It is a beautifully designed, relaxing space with top notch technique and they always have the latest trends available before most other places! Examples: feathers before anyone else had them-and now you can get bold streaks of color AND Keratin treatments! Love them!

I want to preface this with the girl was very nice, very personable so this is purely based on level accuracy which is nill (I have pictures I will email if the manager/owner would want them). Unfortunately, my hair was blow out in a curl so I didn’t notice all the jagged, uneven pieces off of my length until I flat ironed it when I got home. She said I would only need 1 inch off, it’s actually more like 3 which isn’t so bad if it’s done right the first time. Sometimes more is needed, then so be it. But now because I have to have more taken off just to even this up and I have to pay even more, which I don’t have, because it looked even when I was there because the ends were curled. I thought an hour and a half for a hair cut would mean it was thorough. Sorely disappointed based on all the reviews here. Again, the stylist was very friendly but just inept. Also, there was an offer of %15 for new clients, which I signed up for, but it wasn’t honored.

Each customer has different experience of salon service. In my experience, I would say that I'm dissatisfied because of the result of brazilian blowout that one of the staff did on my hair. I thought I would have a great experience coming to this salon, but I was wrong because I went to fringe salon last May 7 @1 pm for a brazilian blowout. I would say that a woman who did my hair service didn't a great job because after 2 days my hair looks dry and frizzy even after I used brazilian shampoo and conditioner she recommended. I was dissatisfied with her service. I shouldn't went to this salon. I will not recommend this salon to my friends and co- workers.

I had had a great experience at the salon my first time, so I decided to go back again around October. But an emergent situation came up while I was driving to my appointment, so I had to make a last minute cancellation. When I called, I was not informed of their policy. So, today I made another appointment. When I made the appointment I asked for the quote, and the lady who spoke to me gave me my total for the service, but conveniently left out the part that I had a cancellation charge on my account. I had to drive all the way to the salon and it was only then the receptionist (who was very polite, I have to say) informed me that I had to pay the late fee. When I told her, that I had called to cancel and no one told me about this policy at that instance. Having worked in the service industry myself, I understood that the stylist probably lost her opportunity for an appointment because of my cancellation - so I went ahead and paid the late fee and left. The late fee was $25, not a big sum, but what ticked me off was they had the opportunity to inform me on October as well as today before I made the trip to tell me about this situation! I felt a little ambushed :( NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS SALON. Also, maybe the owners can increase the print that hangs in their wall, notifying patrons about their policy.

Love Fringe! Have been going there for a few years and all of the stylists are great. I also love the online scheduling and text reminders. I do recommend planning a long afternoon if you are getting full color treatment; they do an awesome job and are very thorough, but it definitely takes some extra time!

I came in as a walk in since the the sign outside of the salon says "Walk-ins are welcome." I was with my husband and baby (who was in a carseat) in the waiting area. I was trying to get a haircut as a walk-in. I literally waited 10 minutes and sat there without anyone greeting me or my husband. There was no one at the front desk to ask if there was going to be a long wait. An employee who was working on a client's hair dye (mixing it in a bowl) was the closest employee near me and didn't even look up to see if I needed help. I even stood up to see if there were any employees that were free that could help me. Such a waste of time so I left to go find another salon. I came here since Google had a bunch of five star reviews. Too bad I didn't get that 5 star experience.

I FINALLY found a salon and a stylist in this area that did my hair the way I wanted and listened to all my requests. She also understood that I had gotten 4 bad hair cuts at other salons in the area previously and made sure I was satisfied. Thank you Casey! I WILL be coming back and would highly recommend this salon!

I went to fringe salon to get my hair done and it was the best salon experience I've ever had! My stylist, Jade, knew better than me what my hair needed. She turned me into a brunette(scary for a lifelong blonde) and I've never felt more confident! The other stylists and clients were extremely kind and I was treated like VIP. Go to fringe salon if you've ever walked out of the hair salon upset with what you got..they will make you feel like the beautiful human you are!!

This was my first experience with Fringe (Chesapeake). The place is very clean, they have complementary coffee and water, they have plenty of books/magazines, and even coloring books and crayons for kids. Jamie was my hair stylist and I loved how friendly she was. I have gone to multiple high-end salons and this one beat all of them with the quality and price. The previous haircuts I've received from said high-end salons never left me fully satisfied. Jamie took a lot of time to sort through my thick hair. She did a dry cut, then a gentle shampoo, wet cut, and then a styled dry cut and it came out AMAZING. My hair feels light and is beautiful. And my husband, a picky man, loves it which is a plus ;) Definitely coming back!

I have been going to Fringe for a few years now and always have a good experience. Beci is my regular hairstylist,who does my hair exactly the way I want it done and it looks great every time. However if Beci is away I am happy to go to any of the other stylists because all the ladies are good stylists and they are all very professional. Chelsea runs a good show there. Location is very convenient and the salon is clean bright and cheery.

Dissapointed in the service my son received last night. We left as satisfied customers because I had my hands tied with bringing two kids and it looked decent in the front, but then later came to realize that his hair looks awful in the back with blotches that have more hair in specific places and the line looks uneven and terrible in the back as well. Granted my toddler is a toddler he didnt even get the fohawk I requested but I didnt complain about this one because it isn't that important. Upset mostly because I have had decent experience for myself but after this I will not be a returning customer. I have never left a review however, I am very disappointed. Edit: since I cannot respond to your comment back, I will note that I came in on Sunday, June 3rd. One of my boys was seen by Liz and the other by Amanda. So yes, I am positive that I have the correct location.

My hair stylist is awesome. I moved here from NJ and I was having trouble trusting anyone with my haircut let alone hair color. I decided to choose Fringe Salon. I scheduled my appointment with Jeanine and I'm so happy that I did. Every time I go she gets my cut and color on point. She really listens to what you want and what you don't want from your cut and color. I would recommend anyone to her because every time I go I always leave 100% happy with not only my cut and color but the experience I had from the moment I stepped into the salon to the moment I left.

Finally found a place where hair is done right! Neftaly did such a great job with my hair. I went to Ulta before for my first trim in 7 months and they completely messed up my hair, worst cut ever. So I grew my hair out for a few months before getting it cut again. Neftaly was super friendly and fixed my hair without taking too much of the length off which was a major plus. I will definitely be coming here for all of my haircuts.

This is Kelly Mcknignt not Emily Hurley . I drove over an hour away because I have been trying to find a salon. I didn’t notice until I got back to North Carolina and my husband took a picture of the top of My head and it was orange. I came I. On Saturday sept 1 and could not come back because of the distance and I am leaving to go out of town on Tuesday. I wrote a check and I feel like the cost was to much considering it was not at all what I expected . The stylist was also on the phone and did not thank me at all and acted preoccupied about something . By the way Emily is my daughter and I don’t know why her name popped up.

Brought my mom here for layers and full highlights for her bday. Highlights are perfect but her layers was chopped. Not layered. We both told The her 3 or 4 times ALL AROUND layers. My mom kept telling her The cut was uneven. After sitting there 4 hours my mom was ready to get out of there. I mentioned it was her bday and she was going to come here regularly to get her white roots touched up. They ran out of welcome kits and also didn't have a welcome pamphlet. But we got a card to make sure to vote for their salon. The 1 star was for the good experience I had the first time for myself. Not so sure if I want to bring my 2 daughters and recommend my friends here nor bring my mom back. I'm not even sure if I would want to bring her back to have someone fix her hair in here.

Gotta say, I'm absolutely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the salon - everything is very professional and looks high-end. Liz has always done fantastic work on my hair, from cut to color (and I do creative colors, at least two every time I go in), and I'll never go anywhere else. Anyone she vouches for, I'll vouch for too.

My sisters and I recently brought my mom to Fringe Salon for Mother's Day. We are so excited about the results! Mom got the Brazilian Blowout and her hair has never been more manageable and silky smooth! Shelby did a magnificent job! I went with a cut and all over highlights(in an attempt to cover gray) and it is beautiful! Adrinne knew just what to do to fit the cut to my personality and went above and beyond to make sure the highlights were perfect!

I've had 3 of their stylists work on me, and all 3 times have been great. I have red hair which is a little hard to match when coloring my greys, but they got it down to a science here. AND ITS SUPER AFFORDABLE. I am a LOOONG haired woman and it doesn't break the bank for me to get a root cover, cut, style, etc.

My master stylist Bonnie has brought my bleach blonde hair back from the ashes like a phoenix. I had my hair destroyed by The Look because their stylist was overbooked, and did other clients while I processed, which fried my hair. Bonnie consults me over the phone, and right at the chair, making sure I get exactly what I want. Let me tell you that is not easy, Healthy Platinum Hair, with dimension. She most certainly has delivered. She is always on top of her game with new products and methods. I really can't say how wonderful and creamy my Blonde is. I love Bonnie and she has gone through the gauntlet with me, Bonnie has my loyalty forever.
