Love it. Love it! First of all, this place knows how to Internet, and I like that. It's better now, but when I first came to town (and had no idea with whom I should be trusting these curls!), it was SO HARD to shop hairstylists online because of how little they had done to showcase the portfolios of their stylists. There aren't many professions where the quality of your work is immediately obvious; there should be a bio + portfolio for every hair professional on any local salon web page. Well, anyway, it wasn't an issue on the SEHD website - go there now - which was THE deciding factor on where to book my first hair appointment in town. The stylists do great work, and when you're not facing the financial hardship of paying for your degree while making $8/hr at nearly any job in town, it's also really a great place to get an incredibly relaxing massage. I flat out fell asleep with some lady's hands on my face. That's not a norm for me, per se, but it guaranteed I'd be back. And I have! For a coloring, which also was something to write Google about. She did not try to dissuade me from what I wanted, but she was very honest about what it would take to get there. In the end, she had over prepared me (I don't think on purpose) by being so forthcoming, and I was so enamored with the results. Huge believer here in culture cultivation, and it takes the right business to hire the right people - Southeastern Hair Design & Day Spa is definitely "one of those" businesses!
