Vivid is definitely my favorite salon in the Columbia area. The shop has a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, and all of the stylists are so sweet! Hailey is my stylist and always knows how to rock my hair whether we are doing a haircut or going with a color. I recommend Vivid to all of my friends and coworkers!

I had my hair colored for the first time in over 10 years and decided to get the balayage done. Kayla colored my hair and I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out way better than I even imagined. She took her time and did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend:)

I've been coming to Vivid! CCS since they opened, and before that was a regular customer of Lydia, one of the shop's co-owners and in-house stylists. Over the years, Lydia has highlighted my hair a lot, a little, cut it according to various short styles, and most recently, put in and refreshed a flashy batch of vivids (=streaks of bright non-natural hair color). During this time, I have been nothing less than 100% satisfied. Each visit starts with a consultation that establishes your goals for the style you want to have done. Lydia is creative and patient, eager to answer your questions and committed to helping you achieve the look you're after. Part colorist extraordinaire, part performance artist, Lydia and her fun, friendly team at Vivid CCS will give you the haircut / brow wax / color job of your dreams. This salon comes with my highest recommendation!

Went in to get my hair cut/ colored, showed them photos of what I was wanting and they completely boutched my hair. The last thing the stylist said to me was, “hope you can learn to love it.” I left the salon crying , it was choppy, uneven, the color was terrible, and when I spoke to one of the owners it was made out to be my fault as if I didn’t communicate enough what I wanted. While refusing to refund me so needless to say do not recommend at all. I went to another hair salon to get my hair fixed. They felt so bad for me that they gave me a discount and a couple hair styles said that my hair cut was one of the worst they’ve ever seen. So many other salons in Columbia more worth the time and money! I never write reviews but could not about this terrible service.

Hailey is a hair wizard! She's always super sweet, uplifting, and knows what she's doing. When I was having issues with a previous balayage job done by another salon, both Hailey and Lydia were very helpful and informative in walking me through correcting it. They also have a good variety of quality products available for sale--stuff that you wouldn't find in other salons or beauty stores. As for the salon itself, it's cute, always clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere. Also, at my last visit, there was a wasp blocking the way into the salon and Hailey came to my rescue swinging a rolled up magazine at it, so you know she cares about her clients. These ladies are golden, please go to them!

Lydia is a color wizard. She listened and was not afraid to technicolor my hair. She's well versed in all vivid shades Prevanna, Joico, Pulp Riot, etc and knows that vivids can be tricky and don't work on everybody the same. She was upfront with what she and her helpers were doing, and gave me options for pricing. Getting ready to schedule again. The only disadvantage to their location is: Parking, its little to be desired, metered and for only 2 hours, I had my daughter feed machine 2 times, thankfully.

Lydia Catherine is a color and cut genius. When I went blonde she made it bombshell. Brown she made me classy. Long to short she kept me professional but so not a mom cut. I have had a lot of "hair girls" from Philly to VA, but she's the best!
