We love coming over to Sharkey's. Chloe is so kind with our kids. They love getting their hair cut by her. I always go online to book our appointments, which is fast and convenient. Asked for a little boy cut short on the sides and longer on top on my 3 yr old grandson. What he got was a BOWL CUT. When I complained the "stylist" made it even higher. After getting home and washing his hair it was so uneven. I'm angry and his mother cried. Sent an email to Sharkey's 2 weeks ago And they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. After reading all the reviews I find it ironic that the owner ONLY replies to the good reviews and writes nothing in the way of an apology to the negative ones UPDATE. ..Just received a call from Kim at Sharkey's apologizing for what happened. Thank you.

I have been into Sharkey's twice and each time I've been I've been impressed. The first time it was very busy but all of the staff and the owner had smiles on their faces, but most important was all the kids and parents which just seemed to be having good time. When moms smiling and kids are smiling I would say that's a great day at the kids hairstylist.

The women who work here were ALL very kind and helpful. i took my daughter here for her first haircut (she told me she wanted it cut and we weren't sure how she wanted it) and the young lady who cut her hair did beyond EXCELLENT! and there's so much for kids to do there, great price-wise as well, definetly won't break the bank. Taylor was amazing. This was the first haircut in over 4 years for our son. He has been scared of getting his hair cut for ages. Taylor jumped right in and made him feel comfortable. Our son was able to play Xbox while he had his hair cut and styled. It was almost like nothing was going on while the cut was happening. We will most def be going back in the future.

Don't go here unless you want to waste your time. I showed up right when they opened (actually a few minutes before) and was told it would be no more than a 15 minute wait. Sat there for 30 minutes before asking if it would be much longer because I had to be somewhere at 11. I was told they wouldn't be starting on my son's hair by then...an hour after I arrived! What a joke and complete waste of my time.

Definitely the best place to go in all of Columbia to get your kids haircut. They have TVs for the kids to watch at each chair and or Xboxes for the kids to play while they get their haircut. My son loves going here and won't go anywhere else to get a haircut. Great staff easy to find from the street great experience. Definitely worth a try.

This place is WONDERFUL! The staff was very welcoming and kind. They had toys for the children to play while they waited for their haircut. They have cars/Jeeps for the younger children to sit in during their cut and they had tvs for them to watch their favorite show on. They also had chairs that had video game console for older kids to play while they received their cut. This place is also VERY sensory friendly and the staff is very accommodating to the special needs community. They're experienced with dealing with children with specials needs, too. This is the only place that I will be taking my children to from now on!

This place is amazing. I tried one time to take my daughter to another hair place when I needed it done while sharkeys was closed and they were awful. Never will I ever change from sharkeys. .they have been doing my daughters hair since she was 1. They are super patient with her, and adjust to her. Love the staff!

Best place in town for a child's cut. My son loves his haircuts and always reminds me that we need to "go soon." Their online scheduling is perfect for an on the go scheduling session.

My 2 year old daughter hates even getting her hair combed by me, so I thought it was going to be a disaster, but there was not a moment that she was upset. Willie cut her hair and painted her nails for her, was super gentle and dealt with the wiggles really well. It was just a cool environment and such a great experience. We got a certificate and photo to document her first haircut - and a couple giant balloons as a parting gift. Really friendly staff.

Chloe is amazing! My son is on the move constantly and hard to handle. She always does a great fade, keeps a positive attitude, and he looks fantastic every time! I definitely recommend her. No one can cut his hair like she can!

They cut my child's hair and he doesn't completely have a meltdown so that's all the stars I can give,. They have cool race car seats and TVs and a crazy weird restroom which I cannot exactly figure out. Also, the kiddos get prizes including a balloon which is a bonus.

This is the only place I trust to cut my son's hair. The staff are extremely patient with him and make the experience comfortable for him. He usually likes the idea of getting a cut then when he gets to the place my son gets nervous, the staff do everything they can to make the time there enjoyable while also getting him a nice even cut. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been to this location several times with my young toddler and have had the best experiences. We go to a particular stylist, Alaysia, and she is fabulous! She is so patient and kind. Alaysia has always done an excellent job and my child now looks forward to seeing her. I wish I had gone to her for his first haircut!

I take both of my children to this location and I can not imagine going anywhere else. They do a great job and they have all the bells and whistles to keep the little ones occupied. They give them lollipops, tattoos and balloons. My kids love it as much as I do. Above all they are so patient with my children.

I just got my (very shy) 2 year old sons hair cut here. His stylest was so silly and patient, she made my son feel so comfortable. Best of all, his hair cut came out so adorable and perfect even though he was super wiggly. Great job you guys, I've already recommended you to all my mommy friends

This used to be the only place I took my son to get his haircut by Kelsey and shes amazing however she went to weekends only and that just doesn't work with my schedule so I tried another stylist her name was Katie. My sons hair isn't anything hard to do, typical boy scissor haircut and trimmers around the ears and neck for clean lines. His hair is 4 different lengths up top and not blended at all! His bangs are so short and crooked, just in time for the holidays too! I brought this to the managers attention via phone call and they offered to fix it for free but I'm not giving them the opportunity to make it even worse. Lost a regular customer. Save yourself the headache and just go to snip-it's off the back. I paid too much money for his hair to look like this.

Very disorganized experience wait time was okay, haircut seemed okay didn't blow dry the hair until I asked about it also got makeup and nails done for my daughter, when doing the nails the lady doing the nails spilled clear nail polish all over her new dress then when she was doing makeup spilled a whole bottle of glitter on the new dress by the time I left the dress is ruined but I guess you get what you pay for.

This is a great place to get a haircut for the kids. Booking online may still be a little tricky, but it is a new feature since they redid the place. It might not be the cheapest haircut for kids, but it's worth it!

Will never spend another dollar there again. I come there with my kids 28 mins before close. First they ask me if I had appointment I said no do I need one? They say no. Then they ask who getting hair cut I said my daughter and they tell me we don’t have anymore appointment for girls....there was 4 stylist up front. Horrible service

The girls that were working that day were great with kids. My son usually HATES getting his hair cut, but actually walked out smiling! They have TV'S in front of each of the chairs (which are actually power cars made into seats). They put something on Netflix that the child wants to watch and everything works out well! It looks like there is an area in the back for parties, all pink with mirrors, perfect for a little girl wanting a pampering day for herself and friends. We loved it there!

They were good with my daughter getting a haircut and my younger daughter. They made them feel special and painted their nails too. We donated her hair and they said it was free for donating. I could see having a birthday there too it has a cute princess room
