My wife and I visited on Sunday night. Lia cut my wife's hair and sent her home with one side longer than the other. Tia cut my hair. She was obviously angry and ready to go home. She was very aggressive with the clippers to where it hurt my head and she didn't say more than two words to me. We will not be back. Ever.

Carlton always cuts my hair, and he does an awesome job. I took my mom who has dementia for a cut, and Carlton took her gently by the hand and led her to get a shampoo and then over to the chair for her cut. He spoke to her in a very calming way so she would not be anxious, but he was not patronizing. She walked out of there with a smile on her face and looking great! I’ll never forget it. I had breast cancer last year and lost all my hair to chemo. Since that time he’s kept me in a super cute short cut I just love! Thanks for being terrific, Carlton!!!

I went on for a new look and came out looking awesome! I have gone several times to have my hair trimmed, cut or colored. This time I went for a perm. Mandeep is the best! It was a long process but we talked and laughed the whole time! She makes you feel at ease and informs you of everything she is doing, so for anyone who wants an amazingly hairdresser and a great look, go to Famous Hair.....ask for Mandeep!!!

Although she took care with my haircut, I left with half as much hair as I had asked her leave! It's hard to find stylists who know how to bring the best from naturally curly hair--but when they cut it all off, there isn't any way to fix it since it will never be straight again. So five for effort, but one for result.

This establishment looks tired and dated and in need of a refresh, but the stylist there are wonderful! I went and got all my hair chopped off yesterday and I must admit it was very liberating. They're professional / knowledgeable and affordable, I will be returning and I most definitely recommend this salon.

Don’t, just don’t. My regular barber at another shop was booked, so I gave “Famous Hair” a try. Worst haircut I have ever had. After paying my $18.95, I had to go to another shop and pay $15 to have it fixed. I heard there is one good stylist there, but I certainly didn’t get her. There are lots of great shops in Lexington- go somewhere else.

I've never done a review before but I felt like I needed to for this. Went here to get a cut for the 2nd time. First time I had Carlton and he did a great job. However, he wasn't in that day so I rolled the dice by letting someone else cut my hair. What a mistake. She was cold from the start, I have never felt so uncomfortable getting a haircut before. I told her I wanted the same style, just a trim. I've always had sideburns and she takes them completely off and makes then uneven . She cut my bangs and didn't even comb them out. The haircut took less than 5 minutes which speaks to the quality and effort she put in. Probably would of been better off sticking my head in a blender. I would only come here to get your haircut if you are bald. Or just make sure to get Carlton.
