I LOVE MY OMBRE! This was the first time I've been to Cline's Salon and I never want to go anywhere else. Brittany did a wonderful job. She did a light brown ombre in my naturally blonde hair that came out amazing! I was a little nervous but she walked me through all the stages of the dying process. While shampooing, she gave me a neck message and eyebrow wax. She even helped me put on some make up when she was finished styling my hair. I mean talk about first class treatment! I was highly impressed by Cline's Salon management and their commitment to customer satisfaction. For everyone who lives in the Columbia area, don't go anywhere else. I moved to Columbia a year ago and have been trying to locate a Salon. Unfortunately, after I received not only a bad hair cut and a color, I finally found Cline's. Cline's is a wonderful artistic, trendy, relaxing environment. My appointment was with Ana, whom is wonderfully talented! On my first visit, I just wanted Ana to cut my hair and try to fix the horrible hack job. She actually was honest with me and gave me her advice. The second visit, we decided to attack the color and defined the style. I showed her a picture of what I would like and she mimicked it wonderfully. She even made adjustments for me knowing that I don't like bangs! Ana actually listens to her clients, understands what they want, and makes suggestions based off her clients ability to style their hair. Needless to say, I will always go to Cline's, and Ana from here on out!

I moved to Columbia a few months ago, and found good reviews for this salon online so decided to give it a chance. I went to Ana for a haircut and gave her a specific idea of what I wanted, and she matched it really well- and even modified it so it suited me even better! I've also gotten highlights from her, and they look fantastic. My hair looks refreshed and light. :) I'm looking forward to going back in a few months! (As a practical note, the salon does not allow you to put a tip on your credit card. You must have cash or check. It would be good to know this ahead of time, as a lot of people nowadays don't carry cash or checks.)

I went here for a last minute appointment and was very happy that they were able to squeeze me in. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to help and were all so friendly. April did my hair and she was patient and understanding and very thorough. She listened to what I requested and asked so many questions to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. She was so friendly and outgoing and made me really enjoy my visit. No hidden surprise fees when I paid either! I'm very happy with the service and will be returning!!

I've moved cities several times and it's always difficult to find a new salon/stylist. After moving to Columbia last year I tried out Cline's salon and was fortunate enough to have Brittany as my stylist. Brittany was patient with me as I described the "bronde" look I've grown to love and worked with me on what my previous stylist had done. She was able to achieve that perfect shade between blonde and brunette and I've loved the results. As someone who's extremely picky with who I let highlight my hair, I highly recommend Brittany. To top it all off, Cline's has a great atmosphere and the entire staff is extremely friendly. Loved it and definitely plan to keep coming back!

Cline's salon offers a unique atmosphere with talented, creative and warm employees. I have been going there for years for all my hair care needs! Ashley Wright is my colorist and stylist and I have never left her chair disappointed! She is able to understand my wants and needs even when I don't know how to express them! After reading such great reviews, I chose Janet Doyle as my colorist. I told Janet the bayalage was no longer to my liking due to red/brassy tone in the midshaft and gold ends. I showed Janet a picture of my hair how it once was and hoped to remove the red/gold and have more of a subtle chocolate brown transition without the 3 dimensional warm tone. Janet went ahead and mixed up the formula and began coloring my hair. First attempt she rinsed and the color was not to my liking so she added another toner, waited to process ... second time slightly better, but it still wasn’t what I wanted and showed greenish tone on the ends and still a brassy midshaft. I was unhappy and tired of being in the chair for almost 3 hours... Graciously, the owner, Tammy reached out to me and went above and beyond to personally correct my hair color. Tammy informed me that Janet did in fact use bleach in the formula which was to my surprise since I originally stated I didn’t want my hair any lighter and back to a darker brown. At this point, the only way to truly correct my hair was to accept that I needed to be all brunette. In order to elimatinate the red/gold Tammy stated I’d have to go a bit darker to help eliminate the red deposit color and recently bleached hair. This was the best option to avoid damaging my hair. I am grateful Tammy was able to fix my hair, however, it required patience and a very late evening at the salon!! Love it here! Every time I have ever had a problem with my hair from another salon, Cline's fixes it! They are on the expensive side but if you are a person who always gets color done, it is totally worth it. I always leave loving my hair! They also do really great cuts and listen to what you want! I have had haircuts from many places in the past five years I have lived in Columbia. I can hands down say it is the best haircut AND the best experience. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, but I ALWAYD get my hair cut by Brittany. She's amazing. Yes it's a tad pricey, but worth every penny. SPECIAL NOTE: this may not be a men's haircut salon first, but it's the best men's haircut in town. Sportcuts? No thanks.

I moved back to Columbia over 2 years ago and had been driving back to Charlotte getting the best hair color/cuts I've received in all my life....but got tired of my go-to hair expert being so far away...I came across Cline's Salon Vista through a Google search and after having a sense of calming come over me after viewing the website, I was willing to trust Tammy with my hair..(despite there being so many great reviews about ALL the stylist). When I entered the salon, it was very relaxed and I was offered hot tea which was nice. I told Tammy that I was trying to grow my hair out and complained to her about stylist never really understanding what a "trim" is. I knew I was going to love my hair when she finished but I had no idea I would love it as much as I did. She TRIMMED exactly what I asked her to, no more. My hair looked so amazing. And she just has a way with people, she was so sweet and personable. I left feeling like a princess and very inspired.

Fantastic place!! Tammy and Lisa were extremely approachable and pleasant. I went in as a transplant to the city, with the goal to cut off my hair to subsequently donate and be professional for the working world. This was my first experience at Clines Salon.I called on a Saturday and they were able to make an appt. for me on Monday morning.The staff at Clines are friendly and very knowledgeable.My appt. for my cut and color was with Ana.When I got there we talked about what would be best for my hair and how I wanted it to look.Ana really listened to me and said she just wanted me to be happy with my hair.I was so happy with how my color came out,we decided to do all over blonde,and it just looks amazing,not to mention how great the cut looks now with the layers she put in.My hair went from dull and lifeless to fabulous.I feel like a new person.I have gotten so many compliments on my new hair style.I highly recommend Clines Salon in the Vista and Ana she is a great hair stylist and such a nice person.I am so glad that I finally found a great hair salon,I will definitely be returning to Clines.

Took an appointment with them to get an ombré. I showed the picture to the girl who did my hair and assured me she could do the job. Well I left with a big mess on my hair. Blonde streaks in my dark brown hair, looked like a zebra. And she obviously didn't know what she was doing. SSBecause the bleach didn't take where she folded the foil on my hair and end up being a blonde strand of hair with a dark brown line. I had to tell her about her mistake and that was obviously noticeable. She seemed like it was her first time coloring hair and that I was her Guinea pig of her first time coloring. After the attempts of fixing my hair and I looked like those stupid York shire dogs with two blonde strands of hair on each side of my face with dark brown hair with zebra blonde streaks. She said that my time ran out and I had to go. Because she had another client behind me. I asked her if she is going to fix it or she's going to let me go with that mess. Did I mention that I had seaweed green strand in my hair aswell! Well she told me I can book another appointment with her to continue the massacre of the Mad scientist on my head! For a small amount of 280$!!! Hell no! After leaving this salon, I was sad, ashamed of my hair, disappointed and most of all angry that I put all this money away to get my hair done! Well, after leaving the salon I went stray to Walmart and bought a boxed hair dye and colors my hair to a dark brown to cover her mess! Thank god for boxed color! I'm no hair stylist or colorist but my result was better than the mess shes done to my hair for 280!!! For that price they could at least bring me water! Or something... Dont go to this salon! Unless you want to be a Guinea pig or waste your money away which would be a better use in a Casino.

Ashley Wright has given me the best haircuts of my life. She has changed my style twice and both times I have gotten more compliments from total strangers than all of my other haircuts combined. She is also really consistent, too- when we aren't doing a total change, she can maintain my hair so it looks just as good and fresh as the first time she cut it. Besides her actual hair cutting skills, she is also just a lovely person who makes everyone around her feel valuable and comfortable. I highly recommend Cline's Salon, and Ashley in particular!

I had a long-time hair stylist in my hometown that I traveled three hours to see every time I needed to get my hair done for the first three years I lived here. Then I discovered Cline's and I couldn't be happier. I have a really hard time trusting anyone to do my hair, but Tammy was great--very patient and caring and of course, gave me an awesome haircut. What I liked best was how she asked for my input before, during, and after the cut and was totally willing to change anything (in comparison to the traditional, "do you love it?" at the end of a haircut where you feel obligated to say yes, even if you don't).

Cline's has such unique charm that is fitting to the individual talent and personalities of all of the stylists that work there. Tammy (owner of Cline's) is my stylist and the best color artist Columbia has to offer! Each one of my friends and some of my family also use Cline's for their beauty needs.... there is an expert to cater to anyone's needs! My friends all love the work that Kelsey, Ashley, and Brittany too! You can’t go wrong with anyone there. The staff at Cline's also did all of the hair and make up for my wedding last fall. They were so accommodating (for a LARGE bridal party) and made everyone look flawless!! Tammy suggested I try the new Aveda "Invati" system. IT IS THE BEST HAIR PRODUCT - I SWEAR BY IT! It has not only helped aid my hair growing out longer it has also turned it into thick and strong hair I never knew I could have! It also created new growth just after two months. I tried switching to other products after using the Invati system and always go back. There is nothing else like it. I have given it as gifts and let girlfriends try it and in just one shampoo you can feel a difference in your hair. It's an incredible miracle worker! The best part of it is that since its Aveda (it smells lovely) and it's all natural! I will never use another Salon as long as I live in Columbia! Let's be honest, if I ever move..... I will drive back for Clines!

Short review: A++ Janet Doyle and the team at Cline's are fantastic. Corrective color, balayage, highlights, etc. This salon is the only salon you should consider. Long review: Easy-going, artsy, well-lit atmosphere with friendly, down-to-earth staff and great music! I moved to Columbia, SC from Italy and hadn't been to a professional hair salon in about 8 months (see the 6 inches of hair growth and brassy disaster in the pics). I messaged Cline's, the same day I received a call from the receptionist who was friendly and took the utmost attention to detail in scheduling my appointment. Janet was fantastic and so experienced, yet up to date on all the latest styles and trends. I love Cline's and am so pleased I found it.

I recently went into Clines and had my hair cut by the new stylist Brittany. All I can say is that I will no longer be going to Sports Clips or Super Cuts, she was fantastic!! My hair is fairly complicated to cut, ill admit, but Brittany took her time and took into account all the details to make sure I was completely satisfied.
