Lauren is not only awesome, she's crazy friendly. When she recommended Beth to give me a more daring cut, she seriously changed my life. Great experience and really welcoming.

Really like the appearance of the salon. Bonnie Tipton does my hair and the color is always perfect! Cuts and moisture treatments keep it healthy and looking awesome! A favorite uncle always said a woman’s hair is her crowning glory. Bonnie makes sure you feel that way when you walk out! Make sure when you call you ask for Bonnie!!!

I am from London and the haircut I had here was the best in years, perhaps ever! So quick and cheap on top of that, great hairdresser too. Really lasted well and easy to manage. She knew exactly what I wanted, and recommended another hairstyle for me that I will actually be getting next time I get my haircut...she was very honest with me in saying what would and wouldn't look good and what would be easy to maintain. I hope I find a good salon now I'm back in England because this one will be hard to beat.

I've had the same lady cut my hair for over four years in Lancaster, SC. Once I moved it became hard to schedule an appointment back home. Just the other day I was walking around the Vista looking for a place for a hair cut and ended up here. I had a lady name Shay shampoo and cut my hair for a reasonable price and it was fantastic. Very satisfied and I'm so glad I lucked up finding a wonderful place like this.

Great salon,I love the way the salon looks in general and the location is very convenient. Brittany is the best stylist you could ask for. I have long thick hair and she is the only stylist who has ever made it look exactly how I pictured. Highly recommend!

i had my hair cut on dec 31. i explained that i had not had a good cut in this area for some time but had a great haircut while i was out of town. i asked the stylist to please just trim it and keep the same haircut because i was happy with it. well she cut it and when i got home and tried to style it i found it was uneven on both sides no layering on the top so i had a flat top with bushy sides. for two weeks i tried to work with it but i finally went somewhere and they practically cut all my hair off to make it even. i thought that was excessive but it still looks better so short. very disappointed in my visit there. i was offered coffee when i got there but no one ever brought it. it was my first visit so i realized later i guess i was supposed to get it myself. there was a baby in their which was very distracting but they left. for a high price hair cut little children are kind of annoying. sorry to leave a less than perfect review but i have to be honest. i wont be returning and will be out of town for the next haircut and can get it done as it will grown back by then.

In January I wad looking for a new salon because the girl who was doing my hair fried it. I came across Capelli, read the profiles of th people who worked there & all of them seemed to be really trained, & stylist, not just people who cut hair. I called, made an appointment; they put me with Annie. I had reservations about her because in her profile pic her hair looked fried, but I went. When I met her in person her hair was beautiful. I explained to her that I was looking for a stylist who help get my hair back to normal; I also explained to her that I had used the same stylist for years, & when he decided to move back to Hawaii I had been searching for a stylist where all I had to do was walk in sit in the chair, & walk out looking fabulous. When she asked me what I wanted done to my hair I knew I hadn't found her. She gave me a product that has restored my hair, for that I am grateful. She is not the reason I am giving two stars. I had an appointment for May 4 at 9:00 am. A charity event was added to my Calendar for that day so I called to cancell, & reschedule. I was told I did not have an appointment. They proceeded to tell me that Annie was no longer with them. WHAT?!?!? NOBODY BOTHERED TO CALL ME AND TELL ME THAT THEY DROPPED MY APPOINTMENT!!! THAT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I WON'T RETURN!!! ANYBODY KNOW A PROFESSIONAL SALON THAT HAS STYLIST?!?!?

I've never had a bad experience at Capelli Salon. Salon is always clean, the staff is very friendly, and they are excellent at maintaining appointments. Special shout out to Lauren for always giving me a fantastic hair cut and having amazing conversations while she does so!

I have to agree with Haley, the salon is never unkempt or dusty...sounds like Olena just didn't want to pay for hair-cuts. I, however, love Lauren, Steve and the whole Capelli experience. Can't wait to see Lauren for my cut and color. My mother and I come there and have never walked out looking like we had been to Great Clips. OK, I HAVE BEEN BACK TO CAPELLI FOR MY CUT AND COLOR BY LAUREN, AS USUAL CAPELLI WAS ROCKIN AND ROLLING! LAUREN GAVE ME THE BEST CUT AND COLOR I HAVE EVER HAD. I NORMALLY WOULD NOT GIVE ANYONE THE FREEDOM TO DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH MY HAIR, BUT I HAVE ENOUGH CONFIDENCE IN MY HAIR ENGINEER TO DO WHAT SHE FEELS WILL WORK FOR ME. I WALKED OUT LOOKING LIKE A MOVIE STAR AND HAD SOME PEP IN MY STEP....OH AND BY THE WAY, THE PRINCESS, SARAH WAS NOT SLEEPING, SHE WAS WORKING HER ASS OFF, AS THEY ALL DO AT CAPELLI! IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO CAPELLI, RUN DON'T WALK TO GERVAIS AND GET THE BEST DAMN CUT AND STYLE THIS SIDE OF THE MISSISSIPPI!

Capelli did me and my bridal party's hair for my wedding this August. They sent over Sara and Lindsey to my venue for a reasonable fee to do 8 women's hairstyles. They finished everyone in a matter of 3 hours I think. All the hair was fabulous, my bridesmaids and MIL looked gorgeous. Sara took extra time after my "trial run" to research how to achieve the look I was going for with my hair, since my hair type didn't exactly want to cooperate. It turned out perfectly. I was so impressed with the time and commitment she put into giving me exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. She is definitely a perfectionist and will go above and beyond to conquer a challenging request. Thanks so much!

Brittany is amazing! No matter what hair style or color I throw at her she recreates it perfectly! She’s done everything from platinum blonde to blues and purples on me and I’m blown away every time! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. Recommend her every time!

I love Capelli Salon. I have gotten my hair done by the incredible Bobbie Sue twice here and several times at her former salon. She is a master of color and is very thorough and direct with her consultations. I trust her 100% and always leave happy. I get so many compliments on my hair. The staff is so friendly and they make everyone feel so comfortable. The atmosphere is nice as well! Mr. Steve seems like a wonderful leader and his stylists are incredibly professional. They all remain current on their continued education courses and up to date on the latest trends. I look forward to my next appointment with Bobbie Sue at Capelli Salon.

Capelli Salon has a great atmosphere, the staff is so nice, they always offer a beverage when you get there, there is parking in the back, and although they always have lots of clients, I have never had to wait past my appointment time. I have heard great things about all the hair stylists. I adore Steve (the owner) - he always takes time to really listen to what type of style I'd like, and it always turns out wonderful. I would recommend this salon to everyone!

I just left and I have to say I'm very happy about the results. Lauren knew exactly what to do with my over processed blonde hair to take me back to a more natural dark color. She saved my length that I've been working on and made it easier for me to change up still if I wanted to do something different in the future. Well worth the money!

I never write reviews, but this one is for all of my Cola gals trying to find someone to do blonde hair! I moved here about 6 months ago and have been through 3 different stylists/salons trying to get my icy blonde highlights perfect. SO thankful I found Capelli Salon, and more importantly, Brittany! She’s absolutely fabulous and has the sweetest personality. Recommend her 100%, especially to my fellow picky blondes. :)

Well I want to share my experience. Made 2 appointments on the same day for me and my mom. I have 18 months old son and mom dont drive so we all have to go. Decided that mom will take first appointment. We arrived there 5 min late. Hostess said that hairdresser would do dry haircut only now because of her next appointment or we can comeback at 11.15 and she will cut both of oir hair. I asked who will watch the baby, besides that it will be his nap time and he will be crunky. And asked why she couldn't do it now. Well she finally agreed to cut mom's hair. Miss Sarah was like a sleeping princess. Moving slowly with tiredly annoyed look on her face. She was first or second day after vacation. Needless to say that no refreshments were offered. I stayed with them helping to explain what type of haircut mom wants ( mom speaks some English). When baby and I returned 20 min later they were almost done. Mom came out in tears. I didnt see much of a haircut on her at all. Even though I said word texturizing like hundreds of times, looked like hair was just cut an inch shorter than they were before. For $50 for haircut anyone would expect a little more than dirty salon (dust is everywhere and hair all over the place), unwelcoming environment and lazy uninitiative hairdresser. She was apologetic blaming language barrier, offered to pay for it herself. I canceled my appointment, paid half of price and left. Day was totally ruined.

I never post reviews but I feel compelled to respond to Ms. Olena's review. I was in the salon at the time getting my hair colored and witnessed the entire fiasco from about 2 feet away. Olena and her mother were immediately taken care of and Sara was nothing if not nice and attentive, as she always is. The mother did not speak more than 4 words of English so there was obviously a language barrier. Even so, Sara did what she was asked (both by the daughter and the mother) and explained to the clients several times that what she wanted simply was not possible with her hair. You can only layer and texterize so much when the client has thin hair, you have to work with what you have. I thought this was common sense but neither the mother nor daughter understood this. Sara did exactly as the clients asked within the limits of the client's hair. The mother walked out crying and the daughter caused a huge scene. Sara was always nice and apologetic- even though, in my opinion, she did nothing wrong. She even offered to pay for the haircut which is definitely something I would not have done after being treated that way. I have been going to Capelli for several years to get my hair colored and cut and I have NEVER seen the salon dirty or unkempt. Of course there will be hair on the ground, it's a hair salon, but it is always swept up immediately. I have never had a bad experience with any of the ladies at Capelli. They are all fantastic, helpful, and attentive.

Beth is a delicious hair engineer. She whips my naughty locks into place with ease. She tames my chaotic cowlicks and ethically euthanizes my eyebrows with a smile. I always enjoy my visits to this fine establishment. The management knows just how to stroke my irrational ego and tame my wild moodswings. The only reason Columbia, SC has not imploded in fiery destruction is because of the humanitarian work done by this fierce gaggle of ladies and gentlemen.

BRIDES BEWARE! Two to three months ago, I booked an appointment to have mine and my step-daughter's hair done for my wedding that is now in three weeks. I called around two weeks ago to see if I could add makeup services for myself, and the person who answered the phone acted like that was completely fine but she said would call me back because they may need us to come in later than our scheduled time. Never got a call back but figured the original scheduled time was fine and that was why I never got a call back. Yesterday, I was calling to verify all the vendors were still on track for the wedding. I called the salon and the person who answered the phone told me that the people who were originally scheduled to do our hair and my makeup no longer worked there (one person left last week, one person left Wednesday, and no one thought to give me a heads up) and she wasn't able to give me an answer as to whether or not I even still had an appointment and told me she would have the manager call me. It's been over 24 hours. Still no call. Luckily I was able to find a different salon who was able to squeeze us in last minute. This is THREE WEEKS before the wedding. I cannot believe how UNPROFESSIONAL Capelli Salon is. Thank God I called to verify our appointment or I would have showed up on my wedding day and not had anyone to do hair and makeup. It is unprofessional not to let clients know if their appointments are no longer available especially for a special event, and it is unprofessional to tell a client you will call them back and not on two separate occasions.

I love love Brittany! I just moved here from NY and all my life I've had my hair done by my aunt who owns her own salon who new her stuff. So I've always been apprehensive to let anyone do my hair. I read the reviews and decided to go to Capelli's. Brittany did a shampoo, cut, and blow dry. I told her I have naturally curly hair and its super thick. She didn't have any problems. She was super gentle, especially with the brushing (I'm tender headed). I let her have full range on the cut. I told her I didn't want to go above my shoulders and she listened! She cut off 12 inches and still didn't go above the shoulders! The blow dry was perfect. Nice pull, not too hot, just right! Gave me a nice shine, bounce, and it was so SOFT! She was so kind and sweet. Next time I decide to do something crazy with my hair, I'm going to Brittany!
